Data loss types can be divided into several parts, and the main data loss types include data loss caused by intentional action, unintentional action, failure, disaster, crime, etc.

And it has been found that hardware failure and human error account for about three-quarters of data loss types.

Common Causes of Data Loss

Data loss can be a serious issue for individuals and businesses, which means losing time and energy to retrieve essential data. Numerous factors can cause data loss. According to research, hard drive crashes account for the highest percentage.
Here are the nine common causes of data loss:

1. Hard Drive Damage

Most data losses are caused by hardware malfunctions. Hard drives are fragile, and they could be damaged as your computer is overheating due to overuse. And here are some signs which indicate your hard drive may be damaged:

• Your hard drive frequently crashes.
• Your computer is always overheating.
• The speed of the process becomes slower.
• Your computer freezes frequently.
• Your computer makes abnormal noises while working.

2. Human Error

Human error could play an important role in many other causes of data loss, such as hard drive damage, software corruption, and hard drive formatting. Human error can result in the unintentional deletion and overwriting of important files without realizing it.

3. Software Corruption

While software corruption can sometimes result from other factors of daily loss, such as power outages or other uncontrollable factors, it is essential to implement procedures for adequately shutting down software after every use.
Unexpected or improper software shutdowns may cause severe issues for the data on your computer. Improper shutdowns can corrupt your data or delete your progress, wasting time and losing valuable data.

4. Hard Drive Formatting

Intentional or unintentional formatting of your hard drive can cause you to lose data. And if you write new data on the formatted partition on your hard drive, the data may be lost forever and can't be restored anymore. If you only format your hard drive without writing new data, you can use data recovery software to restore your lost data.

5. Viruses and Malware

Viruses can delete and steal essential data, destroy functionality, and bring operations to crawl. Viruses could attack your computer from an email link or a click on a corrupted link, which allows viruses or malware to enter your computer system.

6. Power Outages

Power outages can shut down the processes you are working on without warning, resulting in the loss of unsaved files. And it can cause files to be corrupted due to improper shutdown of the process.
In addition, programs could be rendered non-functional by power outages. If your computer shuts down due to a power outage while it's writing the hard drive system, it's possible that your computer will not be bootable.

7. Theft of Physical Storage Medium

Physical storage medium theft is a potential risk when people use small office devices, such as laptops and smartphones, to work in public places. In addition to losing data, physical storage medium theft also poses the risk of data leakage. Studies show that stolen or lost devices accounted for more than 40% of all data breaches from 2005 to 2015.

8. Liquid Damage

Note that keeping liquids away from your computers, for that liquid damage can cause short circuits, making it difficult to recover data on your computer.
Even sometimes, the computer seems to work fine after spilling coffee or water on it, but internal damage can influence the computer and make it short-circuit later. Especially acidic drinks, such as coffee, can corrode the inside of the computer.

9. Disasters

Natural disasters, including earthquakes, tornadoes, and fires, can occur when you are most unexpected and have a devastating impact on your vital data. They can destroy your computer and your data and even destroy your work completely.
To minimize the impact of the disaster and ensure your work process can continue, you can back up your essential data once a week and store it in a secure location.

I realized recently that I kind of use Reddit as a diary. The place to share things that I wouldn't normally be able to and reflect on what I have been through.
So welcome to my mind I guess, and I find someone talkative and animated amazingly attractive.
It's honestly super important to me because on the talkative and extroverted scale I am very high up and basically spend all day just trying to experience new things and talk to people where I can.
I absolutely LIVE for a good conversation and find myself growing stressed and bent out of shape if I find myself isolated. I often annoy or overwhelm quieter, more shy folks so I want someone to match my energy and have the type of relationship where we stay up until 3 in the morning doing absolutely nothing but sharing stories and flirting when you find a real connection.
Everything you have to say to me would be important even the most mundane of stories and you would be my priority.
I wouldn't call myself clingy and I realize you have a life, I don't want to know what you're up to all the time and I won't keep tabs on you. But realize I genuinely care about what you're life is like, and find great joy in spending time with someone and if you can't make time for that then what's the point of being together?
Maybe I just want someone to adore me as much as I adore them. Someone I can build a future with and gives me motivation and happiness.
I don't really have an idea of what you would look like. I don't really have a "type" whereas most men seem to have a list of traits their ideal woman should have like a coffee drink or something. Hair color, eye color, and nationality never mattered to me though I do find shorter women more attractive (I am six feet tall myself). Hopefully you're not old enough to be my mother or so young it would be creepy.
I want to slow down and relax with someone and be stupid together. Go out and explore the world because shared experiences are always so much more special in my memories than ones where I was alone.

The stay itself was definitely different overall. He was friendly I guess, but pretty picky about things, and texted pretty constantly. He also had a few cameras in the house and at random times I’d notice they’d turn on and he’d be watching me. It was a little creepy. I thought about saying something to rover at one point, but I stuck it out because I need the money.
However in the end the guy left me a good rating and great tip. 3 days after the stay ended he texted me saying his keyboard for his computer was broken. I used it while I was there, but I know for a fact I didn’t break it. I’m thinking of just blocking him. Is there anything he can do on the rover app with everything being closed out? I don’t think I want anything to do with him again, and I kind of feel like he’s lying.

I am a computer science major that used to work on distributed systems. I ended up writing a lot of C++ and found the advanced language features and its interoperability with machine-level concepts interesting. That has moved my career direction over to stuff very close to microarchitecture, and I have taken grad level compiler optimization, microarch, OS design, etc and will be developing low-latency C++ code at a unicorn this summer.
I'm having some doubts about my career path. I never get stuck on anything core computer engineering-like, like RTOS development, firmware, etc but supporting software that happens to be systems-related. Ideally I keep doing microarchitecture-focused C++ and move into doing cpu performance engineering related roles but it seems like that requires much more hands on experience dealing with microarch
I also don't go to a great school and find that CE concepts are more sparse than what I used to do.
So, how would you guys recommend I go about reasoning whether I should keep doing this stuff for a living? I think that I should definitely find experience optimizing for a particular microarch and reading more intel manuals. I haven't written a ton of assembly other than a custom fork implementation for the XINU kernel, some high-contention locks and mips/tomasulo simulators but I should get on that.
Any specific projects? I'll do my best to work on in a lab the next school year but I'd love to hear your thoughts

I think I figured out how to do self-attention in NlogN computation steps rather than N^2, with a caveat. I'm not trying to be an academic, so I don't care to publish this formally, but I thought that some people might be interested. My construction is not efficient or practical, but the fact that it can be done at all might motivate further work to find efficient alternatives.
tl;dr Use the parallel scan technique to compute taylor series basis functions needed to compute the causal self-attention layer and sum these together weighted by the values vector and 1 to get the numerator and denominator of the softmax activation of the full causal self-attention layer. The basis functions that you have to compute are both the basis functions for the numerator of the self-attention layer, $\sum_{i=0}^{j-1} k(i)_a^n q(j)_b^m v(i)$ and the normalization $\sum_{i=0}^{j-1} k(i)_a^n q(j)_b^m$. k(i)_a^n is component-a of the ith key vector raised to the power of n multiplied by q(j)_b^m which is component-b of the jth query vector raised to the power of m, which is multiplied by the value vector at position i in the first equation and by 1 in the second, and all summed together. Once you can do this, you've computed a basis function for a Taylor series. Multiply each basis function by a coefficient and sum them together to create an arbitrary function of k(i) and q(j). Using this technique, we can compute the Taylor series approximation for the numerator and the denominator of the softmax activation each taking logN * {number of coefficients} parallel steps, or O(N) sequential steps by treating the accumulation as a type of RNN.

Background

I was inspired to think about this because I was implementing MAMBA and trying to understand what kind of non-linearities can be created using the parallel scan technique. If you don't know what parallel scan is, let me demonstrate with an example. The simplest example of the parallel scan technique is computing all partial sums of a sequence of numbers in log(N) time. Imagine you have a sequence [a_1, a_2, a_3, a_4, ...]. You can compute all partial sums by first adding a_i to a_{i -1}, where a_{-1} is zero, and generally a_{-n} is defined to be zero. Then take the result, call it r = [a_1, a_1+a_2, a_2 + a_3, ...], and compute r_i + r_{i-2}, which gives [a_1, a_1+a_2, a_1+a_2+a_3, ...]. The first 4 partial sums are already complete. The next step would be r_i + r_{i-2**2}, and the next step, just increase the power of 2 until i-2**power is negative for every i in the sequence. It basically sums groups, and then sums those groups together, and so on and so forth until the partial sum at each position is calculated. The scan technique is a way to parallelize an RNN. Essentially, you remove some nonlinearities in the RNN so that recurrence equation becomes associative. Once it is associative, you can compute the hidden state at each position of the sequence in log N parallel steps, where each parallel step has O(N) computations.

The Meat of It

In the background section, I explained how to compute a partial sum in O(log(N)) time and O(NlogN) computation steps (or O(N) time and O(N) computation steps by using RNNs) using the parallel scan technique. I'll use this now to construct the Taylor series for causal self-attention layer.
Let's assume we have a tensor x of shape (sequence_length, embedding_dim), and we can compute the query, key and value tensors from x using q=Qx, k=Kx and v=Vx, where Q, K and V are matrices. Compute y = (k[:,i]**n)*v. Now use the parallel scan technique to accumulate the partial sums of every vector in y, which will give ParallelPartialSum(y)=[y[0,:], y[0,:]+y[1,:], ...]. Now multiply the result by q[:,j]**m, and now we have a basis function for a Taylor series expansion. The full formula is q[:,j]**m * ParallelPartialSum((k[:,i]**n)*v). Next, we can add up these functions for different powers of n and m using coefficients to approximate any function. The final equation is \sum_{n, m} A_{n, m} q[:,j]**m * ParallelPartialSum((k[:,i]**n)*v).
What is left is to find the Taylor series coefficients A_{n, m} and to calculate the normalization for the softmax. I'm not actually going to give an equation for A_{n, m}, but I will show that it can be done. First, I'm just going to write $q \cdot k$ in place of $q[:,j,:] \cdot k[:,i,:]$ to make it easier to write and read. We want the Taylor series of $exp(q \cdot k) = 1 + (q \cdot k) + (q \cdot k)**2 / 2! + ... + (q \cdot k)**n / n! + ...$. To find the Taylor series coefficient for every component of q and component of k and every power of each, you'd have to expand out (q \cdot k)**n /n! for every n. It can be done but I'm not going to do it. Just assume that A_{n, m} is equal to these coefficients, and voila, we have the numerator of the softmax equation for self-attention. We still need the denominator. To compute the denominator of the softmax over attention scores, you compute the same sum replacing the value tensor with the number 1. $\sum_{n, m} A_{n, m} x[:,j]**m * ParallelPartialSum((x[:,i]**n))$, where again the value vector at the end of the equation is removed. The final equation for the causal self-attention layer is:

Where again, A_{n, m} are the Taylor series coefficients for exp( q \cdot k).

Take-Aways

One big take away from this work, is that since causal self-attention can be calculated using the parallel scan technique, and since a parallel scan can be computed with an RNN, it follows that full causal self-attention can be computed with RNNs. The caveat is that you need many RNNs, one for each Taylor series basis function, so to get a good enough approximation of the softmax activation, you'd probably need a lot of coefficients, more than would be practical. On the other hand, what if there is a related activation that does the job of the softmax, but can be constructed with far fewer parallel scans? Then full causal self-attention could be done using only a few RNNs. Also, there are other basis functions that can be computed with one parallel scan, for instance, basis functions for a Fourier series can be computed with one parallel scan.

Ever since I built my first 80486-based computer, I've been hooked on PC building as a hobby. I'm not going to pretend to be some expert who can make custom hardline builds and overclock them.
For a time, I through hardship, and stopped building for a long time. When I came back, water coolers were everywhere. I didn't understand the difference between closed loop (AIO) and open loop (custom). And all of that RGB stuff looked annoying and terrifying.
I'm older. We older people get crabby about change.
Anyway, I ended up swallowing my pride and bought a pre-built. It was shitty as many pre-builts are (CyberPower if you must know). Somehow, some buffoon managed to install the wrong BIOS from a different model, making the BIOS impossible to update. The 120 AIO was shit, and I had to upgrade it, which helped me overcome my fear of those new-fangled AIOs and RGB and whatnot.
Then the shitshow computer died right in the middle of the pandemic when it was impossible to buy a graphics card thanks to all those cryptobro morons destroying the environment for what turned out to be a shitty fad for libertarian softheads who can't tell the difference between Bioshock and Ocean's Gate. So I was forced to buy another pre-built because that was the only way to get a decent graphics card at the time.
I'm getting the itch to build a whole new computer from scratch. The cheapo web-browsing computer I recently built for a relative doesn't count, but this entire generation of graphics cards is a dumpster fire, so I didn't.
But now, all the experts are saying that water cooled AIOs are just for looks, and you're better off with air cooled.
Damnit.
Look, I've used HSF (heatsink fan) coolers for most of my adult life. It's what I'm used to. But I finally got used to water cooling, I finally got good at installing and/or upgrading AIOs, and now everyone is saying go back to HSF.
I should have just remained a curmudgeon and stuck with air all along, damnit.
Anyway, I replaced my existing NZXT Kraken X63 with a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE. I love it. It's so much simpler, it will be more reliable in the long-term, and it even makes less noise at idle (which surprised me). The temperatures fluctuate more, but the floor for idle is lower than it was on the 280mm AIO, which surprised me. In BIOS, the temps are some 10°C lower.
I'm just crabbing about the fact that I dug in my heels and resisted making the jump from air to water (so much so that I swalled my pride and bought a pre-built), then I dug my heels in and resisted the move back to air.
What the [bad word] is wrong with me?
PS—did anyone else ever use one of those Piezo-based hot side-cold side CPU coolers back in the day?

Been a Windows and Android guy my entire life, and I always liked how they worked because they were so universal. I play games and do stuff the Mac was always criticized for being terrible at, so it never crossed my mind much before to try it out UNTIL-
Earlier in the year, the iBug bit me and I got extremely obsessed with Apple products. I was always watching keynotes where Steve would wax on about how good their products were, slowly tricking my brain into wanting shiny new thing. It got to the point where I set up a CRT on my desk and converted my desktop's HDMI output into composite so I could use infinitemac dot com the way it was originally experienced. I needed a Mac FAST!
My friend had an older 2017 13-inch non-TB 128 GB MacBook Pro lying around and gave it to me as a present (She's extremely nice for doing that, I thanked her profusely) so I could have a new Mac by the end of my school year. It arrives just after class and I instantly notice how thin and sleek it looks, already interesting. I turn it on and notice how incredible the display panel looked, the MacOS interface that I'd gotten used to, and soaking in how it all worked within such a tiny space. It was so small, in fact, that it beat out my already miniscule school laptop in size and performance (some HP ProBook). I also noticed how quiet it was, comparing to my monster gaming laptop and how the fans spun up doing literally anything. Just overall, I was floored, especially when trying the external display out (with a dongle, of course) and seeing it could be a suitable desktop if I needed a backup.
I even love things about this machine that most people seem to hate, like the butterfly keyboard. I can't speak for other people and if theirs had broken keys or something, but I genuinely enjoy the feel of something like this and now prefer it to my ProBook's average laptop keyboard. The trackpad took a bit to get used to, but still now I'm shocked that the click I'm feeling is just haptics. That's some damn magic right there, playing with the force click checkbox and seeing it in real time change the depth to which an unmoving piece of glass moves lol.
While I'm 95% satisfied with my machine and love everything I can do with it, my only gripes are in the few limitations I really feel. Not a bad spot to have your only problem be wanting more of your same great thing, but the storage, ram, and battery are all obvious upgrades if I had the knowhow. Maybe it'll even push me to get a used M1 or 2 in the future with the various upgrades you'd find on there, who knows. Regardless, this Mac is gonna be my daily general driver outside my phone and I'm so pleased with everything it brings. I totally get the Apple thing now haha

Hello All!
I'm looking for some advice on fitness and weight loss that might help me out with my various needs for modifications. Please be patient with me if you feel like some of these questions have been answered before, I just don't always feel like they take into account my circumstances. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this and answer! Your kindness is much appreciated.
And now we get into it... Some backstory to begin. I'm a 30-year-old female who's been struggling with an unhealthy relationship with food (for many reasons) for 15-ish years now. I've struggled to lose weight on and off for maybe 10 years. I've lost weight, gained it back, lost it, and gained it back again. Nothing really seemed to stick. I tried WeightWatchers, Noom, My Fitness Pal, and a fitness program with a certified coach. I've lost weight quickly and unsustainably and then slowly. I've struggled with an addiction to sugar and had ravenous cravings. I've even taken Vyvanse prescribed for Binge Eating Disorder but had to stop taking it due to blood pressure concerns. I am 5'7" and am currently 221lb.
I joined a fitness program this year that had me start with a reverse diet where I ate my maintenance calories for 5 weeks or so and then slowly decreased my caloric intake for a steady deficit. The coach calculated my maintenance as 2,600 daily with a moderate activity level. I initially worked out 6x a week with her program, mostly strength training, but I have an entirely sedentary job. During this time, I gained 5lb. After this, I decreased my intake to 2,100 and then 1,900 and then 1,800. At this point, I also decreased my workouts to about 4x per week of weights/resistance bands. I lost the initial 5lb I gained and then another 4lb over the course of 2 months. But this has me losing maybe 1lb per week.
Now, I also have various joint problems. I have hypermobility in my joints and I have to be very careful when working out. And the more I exercised, the worse I felt. The problems in my right shoulder became aggravated and I have new problems on my left now too. My collarbones and shoulder joints crack and grind with pain. My knees have sharp pains now whenever I put weight on them when they're bent. My physical therapists and doctors basically told me I have to stop doing squats, lunges, or other weight-bearing exercises on my knees, and stop doing what I was doing for my arms/back (dumbbell back flies, chest flies, shoulder presses, arnold presses, etc.) I feel deeply discouraged by the fact that I had to cut out most of the things I was doing. I feel like I'm very limited in what I can do.
But I also desperately need to lose weight to reduce the weight on my joints and get in better shape (and self-esteem!) So it seems like I'm down to doing only cardio and exercises that have my arms close to my body (like tight bicep curls and tricep kickbacks) which sucks because I was loving the muscle gain (and I could feel it!)
I am feeling very confused by all of the activity levels on TDEE calculators and I feel like maybe I'm getting it wrong. I put in lightly active and got around 2,400 and then read numerous articles that said it was overestimating because I have a sedentary job. I then tried the adaptive TDEE spreadsheet and got an average of about 2,400 anyway over the course of 14 weeks. So it seems like the coach was wrong to say I was at 2,600 with my exercise levels and it seems like others were wrong to say lightly active was too high.
Now, what do you guys think about the 2,400 TDEE? The data seems to support it, but does it seem accurate? I try to exercise 3-4x per week (still some strength training) after work, but I am very sedentary at work and when relaxing. Some days I don't make it past 8,000 steps. Now I've been trying to kick that up a notch (made it up to 16,000 steps today!) and have been aiming for 10,000 steps daily.
And next, what might be a good deficit? I've been eating around 1,800 but I don't know if that's going to be very slow and I tend to plateau early. (And, yes, I've been tracking all of my calories and keeping track of protein as well. I use MFP for the calories and I weigh my food when needed.) I was also told that I should be in a deficit for maybe 8-12 weeks at most before going back to maintenance for 2 weeks in order for my body to not "fight" the weight loss and repeat this cycle. Can anyone weigh in on this? Some studies I've read seemed to support this as well.
And finally.. does anyone have recommendations for exercises that I could do that would be light on my knees and good for people with hypermobility? This means nothing that requires joint extension that could be dangerous or any rotating of the shoulders. So definitely no lunges or reverse lunges, for example.

This is my incomplete SVTFOE the movie script. Until my friend thomasmfd convince me to scrap it here’s my incomplete SVTFOE the movie script.
Star Vs. The Forces of Evil the forces of evil the movie The film with a song called Empire of the Sun Walking on a dream while the camera pans down on a mural with the credits rolling by and hits the floor showing a Blue man with a blue sword wearing a Space helmet and a orange Tee shirt with black spots all over his shirt. Who is protecting the Empress of the Sun Hestia look who has Red hair and Red eyes and wears a White Kimono with red spots. Just then a group of people wearing brown robes and white masks are led by a bald creepy dude with a Scar on his right eye. He approaches the throne and begins to speak.
The creepy dude My majesty My name is Bob and my group are a bunch of nomads who travel from World to world gathering intel and giving them to each kingdom and we heard rumors about Cataclysm prison weakening. And we would like to have your Sword Empress of the sun. So we can use it to defeat Cataclysm.
Bob walks up the steps before Cutie's sword hangs by his neck stopping him.
Bob What’s the meaning of this guard!?
Cutiesaurs: The name is Cutiesaurs or Cutie for short. Bob Okay Cutie. Why did you stop me!?
Cutiesaurs Because I don’t trust you. Besides, Shady people are always up to no good.
Bob It’s for your own protection so let me through. Besides it is rumored that The Sun Sword is the only sword left.
Cutiesaurs I don’t Care the Gods hid those swords for protection from thieves like you, including the Fable Mew sword. Besides, it appears you want to use the empress sword to find the other swords.
Bob Well you two figure out my plan already so I guess I have no option but to take it from force.
Just then Bob uses his magic spell to pull out his sword and he and his minions begin to attack. Cutie and Molly try to fight back but it is too much for them and get captured and Bob’s minions capture Hestia as Bob grabs the sword and glances at it.
Bob This Sword is a decoy. (Bob then shatters it with his magic) Minions drag Cutie to the Castle dungeon while carry Hestia to that special place)
Cutie struggles against the minions' control while they drag him to the dungeon. Cut to five years later and we see Cutie shirtless hung up in the dungeon walls shirtless wearing only his pants and a piece of cloth covering his head except his eyes. Then Bob and his cultist.
Bob Well Cutie it’s been five years and still you won’t tell us where the Real Empress sword is!

Bob Leaves the dungeon and enters a room which is in some blackish glow surrounded with red hue. At the floor is a star shape enclosed by a circle on the floor. There Bob stands at the edge and raises his hands which then begin to be turning a metallic silver. He begins to wave his hands and a Star shape pattern begins to have a pinkish water swirling around it then when it clears out we see Star Butterfly at the center of the Star pattern.
Bob Hello Princess My name is Bob and you have something that we need. (Bob then materializes some mask’s then drops them on the ground where mud surrounds the mask’s then the mud raises the Mask which then forms into humanoid shape).
Star Butterfly I’m sorry but this Wand isn’t yours to keep.
Star Shoots a Rainbow energy beam at Bob but he blocks it with nothing but his bare Metallic hands.
Bob I’m impressed that the sword has a few tricks up his sleeves. But I’ve had a few tricks up my sleeves myself.
Bob then shoots a sliver beam at Star and pulls out a golden butterfly from her chest and places it into a jar.
Bob I’ve taken your powers. If you want them back, give me your wand. What do you say Star?
Star Butterfly I say Narwhal blast. A large Narwhal appears and slides down destroying many of Bob's minions and then pinning Bob to a wall. She then runs away from the room.
Bob After her she must not escape with that sword.
Star flees Bob’s goons and hides in the dungeon where she begins to hear the song Always look on the bright side of light she follows the sound to a cell where she see’s Cutie hanging from the wall.

Star Butterfly I’m hiding from a man and his goons who want my wand.

Cutiesaurs Let me explain. Long ago before you before me before the kingdom of Mewni before time. Three gods and three goddesses appear. They created the rift then they created time then they created the universe then gave life to them. They taught each creature in the multiverse how to care and love and respect one another. However for order there must be chaos and chaos took the form of Cataclysm. He corrupted everything the gods and goddess did, undoing their work. So they fought back; the battle lasted a thousand year with the records of the events being lost though a few survived. After Cataclysm was weakened the Gods and Goddess locked him up in a prison out of space and out of time. With their own swords. They then gave the six swords to six universe’s. The Sword of Retro, The Sword of the sea, the Sword of sweets, The Sword of reality, The Sword of the sun, finally the Sword of Mewni. They form the kingdoms around the swords. But sadly over time the kingdoms lost knowledge of their past and swords. Except for two. The Kingdom of the Sun saved knowledge of the past and the kingdom of Mewni kept their sword safe. Which is why that wand you have is important; it's the last known sword that prevents the unleashing of Cataclysm.

However with the invention of technologies and how certain realms like our Kingdom of the sun here isolated themselves. The Rift was no longer used and ships were turned to scrap. But not before Bob and his minions race to the hanger seeing them fly away. The camera fades while Bob quietly makes a grin on his face. The screen then pans to the Gummi ship flying across the rift. Inside Star and Cutie figured out what to do next.

Intro: 8 years ago I built a high-end video editing & gaming PC, and I was very into PC hardware at the time. Since then, I stopped paying attention and have no clue what's good and bad these days. I also game way less now.

What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.

Video editing mainly. Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, etc. I work with very heavy Excel sheets often as well. Rarely gaming; supporting decent settings for the latest games is a nice-to-have at best.
I'm downsizing from a home to an apartment, so form factor is super important to me. I'm shooting for mini-itx like build, where I can easily pick up the PC and move it around, and that I can fit onto a desk next to my monitor(s) easily.

Monitor keyboard mouse will be reused, just need the tower. I also already have a PC I built and ideally would try to transfer Windows over.
My dream would be to re-use the SSD in my current PC for a relatively seamless transition. Or at least transfer it over to the new generation of NVMe ones (I have a 1TB samsung evo rn with a 4TB HDD that I'll get rid of).

Not beyond any recommended profiles. I care more about small form factor and quiet than eeking out 5-10% more performance.

Would like to have 64 GB of DDR5 RAM. I've noticed RAM being a bottleneck for me given my workflow. I have 32GB DDR4 right now.

In your opinion, what does it mean to be computer-literate?
It's a meme at this point that zoomers are tech illiterate. The stereotype is pretty much accepted by millennials and older generations.

• Spawn system is unbearable after extended play time. Half of the game is just deathmatch fighting at spawn in which kind of defeats the purpose of an open world style game. Please add many other spawn points with a wider range on the sides of maps or make a dynamic spawn system that detects other player proximity and moves your spawn based on range so there is at least a buffer of room to get away. I know this is hard to do on farm based on the map size but currently this spawn system is going to turn off a lot of players since the game is built around hardcore loss of gear.
• Initial recoil bounce of guns should be removed/reworked. This was already hated in tarkov for years and makes semi auto guns really unviable compared to full auto. Please change this to be a more consistent curve of recoil instead of just a barrel bounce. Think Counter-Strike but more realistic based on attachments, etc.
• Jumping and shooting with full accuracy (super manning corners) needs to be nerfed. This is especially bad with scavs who have zero reason to lose anything and can still melt your legs/face with stock guns. I do enjoy the more arcadey movement but please don't make this into a call of duty 360 noscope type of game. If your feet are off of the ground your gun recoil should be double in my opinion. Easy fix.
• Full auto spread needs increased (lazer hipfire is bad FPS design). Currently full auto guns are way too strong in terms of being able to just hipfire horizontally and not really aim the gun. I do not want the goofy solutions that tarkov did like durability and jamming to make full auto not so dominant. Just make the recoil realistic in terms of the first few shots are accurate where aiming and then if you continue full auto the cone spreads. This is a known design that works in just about every single FPS game. Keep the realistic ballistics of course but also make the recoil patterns realistic as well. If you want an FPS shooter that is skill based than the player should be controlling the recoil not some arbitrary system. The current design just promotes cheesing as players will shoot the first 2-3 shots prefire into the corner of a wall knowing by the time they strafe out the recoil is "fixed" and they laser. It is just bad design overall for a game that wants tactical realism.
• Scav detection radius is absurd. I am not sure if it changes based on your player level but after hitting level 30 scavs see me from EVERYWHERE. I am talking like a 150m radius if I am anywhere near them I am spotted. They very often comm and rush at me from behind cover or non line of sight where they really should have no idea of my exact location other than general footsteps. Sniper scavs on valley are just as bad and I have been hit through trees at like 300m out just randomly moving through cover. Either please reduce the detection radius or make thier shots a bit less accurate. Sniper scav will basically kill you by shot 3 if you do not have hard cover or some serious armor. I have even multiple times (im taking like every other raid) will see a scav in the distance just straight rushing at my location when I have not fired a shot or given any target inidcator and I will just watch them path right up to me like a magnet. Its both immersion breaking and annoying as hell.
• Scav tanking expensive ammo. This one drives me insane. If you want to make scavs be stronger by increasing health pools than please make some kind of visual change to thier clothing to look armored, especially the face. They dont actually have to have lootable gear obviously to keep the loot balance but there is nothing more immersion breaking or frustrating than shooting a scav with a baseball cap in the face and they just flinch and run off. This is one of the worst design aspects of tarkov and how BSG uses hp pools to balance the boss/AI and it kills me to see it copied in ABI. Please ask the art team to do some kind of pass even making the scavs have ghetto looking armor like something out of the game Rust to keep with the lore feel.
• Higher tier 6-7 7.62x54R does same TTK hits as lvl 5 making the cost pointless in many hours of sniping with a mosin. So basically T5 ammo costs roughly $1k. It on average will two shot body a naked and three shot a geared player with L4+ armor. Headshots are one hit kill. T6 and T7 mosin ammo again from my extensive tesing does the exact same damage counts in terms of hits. So you are paying an extra $1k per round to get the same bullet DPS. Of course yes these rounds will shine vs level6+ armor players but I do not think any ammo worth $1k+ per round should take more than two body shots for L4 armor players. There are a few exceptions to this but I have used mosin on Valley for multiple 10+ hour sessions and something is weird with the 7.62x54R T6 and T7 ammo class.
• Shoulder swap for weapons to left peek. This is an easy addition and honestly should be in any tactical FPS game that requires CQB fighting. Please add this for a huge quality of life.
• Option in player list that can be enabled so whatever team mate gets the killing blow can only loot that body who they killed locking out the rest of the team. This would greatly help with players not wanting to join random squads and get thier stuff taken after putting in the hard work of securing the kill. Not a perfect solution but would greatly help stopping thieves. Yes would players try to "last hit" to steal your loot? Sure. Would this system work 10x better than currently just watching a teammate rat your gear? Absolutely. Again make this a selecable option in the lobby so party leaders can choose and everyone wins. You don't want that option just don't enable it.
• Allow ANY keyboard key to be rebound. Many of us use custom key binds that are shared across multiple game titles and having to "relearn" the keys for this game because certain keys like ALT can not be bound to crouch for example makes the player controller feel really bad. A normal person is not going to just unlearn 15+ years of gaming keyboard binds and so every time there is a panicked firefight I naturally revert to the expected keys and it gets me killed. Super annoying and again very basic fix to allow those keys to be rebound.

My main concern right now is that these types of changes I have listed have taken tarkov YEARS to update. So what I do not want to happen is players having to camp the ABI patch notes for another 2-3 years just to get back those quality of life changes missing in this game that tarkov now has resolved. I do expect ABI to be much more efficient with the patch releases but none the less for someone who has played tarkov for many years some of these changes feel like "starting over with an old version" waiting for the same fixes that already exist in tarkov. They copied a lot of the bad design aspects of tarkov along with the good in my opinion.
At the end of the day this game is fantastic and really blends the casual and tactical mix to hit a wide audience. If you do not currently have beta access please do understand watching the game really does not do it justice. You have to play it to feel all of the small quality of life changes that make this title rival tarkov. I personally could care less if the game is copied or not. They did it better and BSG had 6 years to get thier act together. Someone like myself has been praying for this exact mix of extraction for a long time now. As long as the monetization does not impede the hardcore looting aspect AKA buying gear than I think this game will be just fine for the long run. Good luck out there!

Good evening community, I want to ask you for help because I have already tried everything, I proceed to tell you what is happening to me, I bought a new G513 keyboard, it worked perfectly for the first few hours, the first few days and after using it on the seventh day I turned on the PC and the keyboards no longer worked. keys, only the lights came on but it didn't work. key, I called support and Logitech support told me to try reinstalling ghub, try solutions with the device manager, place the keyboard in other USB ports however nothing seems to work, I tried another Logitech keyboard that I didn't have too but this one does work. ..
Well, what could be happening? Should I claim the warranty? The keyboard has not even reached 10 days of use and there no longer seems to be a solution. I also tried it on another computer and the same thing happens, ghub recognizes it, the lights turn on but the keyboard does not write anything at all.
Please help me, I spent 150 dollars on this, I live in Argentina and that is a lot of money here...

I realized recently that I kind of use Reddit as a diary. The place to share things that I wouldn't normally be able to and reflect on what I have been through.
So welcome to my mind I guess, and I find someone talkative and animated amazingly attractive.
It's honestly super important to me because on the talkative and extroverted scale I am very high up and basically spend all day just trying to experience new things and talk to people where I can.
I absolutely LIVE for a good conversation and find myself growing stressed and bent out of shape if I find myself isolated. I often annoy or overwhelm quieter, more shy folks so I want someone to match my energy and have the type of relationship where we stay up until 3 in the morning doing absolutely nothing but sharing stories and flirting when you find a real connection.
Everything you have to say to me would be important even the most mundane of stories and you would be my priority.
I wouldn't call myself clingy and I realize you have a life, I don't want to know what you're up to all the time and I won't keep tabs on you. But realize I genuinely care about what you're life is like, and find great joy in spending time with someone and if you can't make time for that then what's the point of being together?
