All-Stars

Comment your thoughts on the season!
Because this is an all returnee season, I'm going to give my thoughts for each castaway by placement instead! If it works out well here, I may do it for future seasons.

18th: Jordan! I was very sad to see Jordan be the first one voted out but it did not surprise me whatsoever. Jordan's entire character is him being super chill and whatnot, so the first loss likely made his tribemates target him. Despite even connecting with Xander, which may have saved his game, he chose to target Xander. But everyone was set on Jordan, resulting on his 5-1 elimination. It was fun watching him on Marquesas and I loved watching him, but being in a game full of others who take it seriously isn't a great combination for him.
17th: Abdul! I was definitely not expecting Abdul to get voted off this early, he was the strongest physically on Pearl Islands so I didn't expect anything different this season. However, Abdul and Z, another challenge beast, struggled to get along. So they targeted each other. But Z's social skills were better than Abdul's, as she was in a majority alliance with Eddie and Anne-Marie. They all targeted Abdul, leaving Oliver and Jess out of the loop. Oliver ended up siding with Abdul to vote out Jess, a past winner. But Jess sided with the alliance of three, voting out Abdul in a 4-2 vote.
16th: Juana! Juana seriously needed to be put in a bubble, she kept getting injured and I was seriously worried for her. But being injured from the previous episode, it cost her tribe the challenge. But she ended up being injured at the challenge again. Not enough to be medically evacuated, but enough to stop the challenge and cause her to sit out for the rest of the challenge. Mogo Mogo's loss really just sealed her fate. I felt really bad for her, she never caught a break. But, she somehow struggled socially which was not normal for her, she played a very strong social game in Marquesas which helped her win that season. But for a lack of socializing this season and being a challenge liability, she was ultimately voted out 5-1.
15th: Mac n Cheese! I was very excited bringing Mac back, he was one of my favorites in Africa and I had high hopes for him, but he struggled physically. And on a tribe full of competitors who were known for there physical skills, maybe not Xavion, Mac found himself backed into a corner. Mac wasn't bad socially, he had a great connection with Kaylee. But Mac's performance in the challenge today was one of the weaker ones. He tried his best to target Kaylee, which was his closest friend, but nobody would swap to his side. Mac was voted out 4-1.
14th: Willow! This was awkward for me considering Willow was my winner pick, but it's the game of Survivor. Willow was doing fine actually. She had an unbreakable relationship with Amy which could've helped her get further. But after the tribe swap, leaving her on Saboga with Xander who she wasn't really close to, it shook up her game. After the immunity loss, she quickly got into a fight with Z, which wasn't good. Z had an alliance with Eddie, but also an entire tribe who wasn't super familiar with her to begin with (Except Jess who was on Africa with her). Trying to connect with the Saboga tribe, she was willing to vote out her prior tribemate Xander. But it didn't matter. Willow was voted out 6-1.
13th: Eddie! Coming into the season with the lowest previous placement and the notable rivalry with Oliver, I was very excited to see what Eddie could do this season. Surprisingly, he wasn't very insistent on his rivalry with Oliver. It felt like the two put their hatred aside and focused on themselves, which is a mature decision for the both of them. He was doing great socially, having an alliance with Z, as well as being aligned with Anne-Marie and Jess. He even had a slight bond with Oliver at one point. He was becoming a favorite of mine this season. But on Episode 6, he got into a major fight with Z, dissolving their alliance. And in spite of the fight, Z formed an alliance with Eddie's former ally Anne-Marie, and his rival Oliver. This put a lot of stress on him and he was not happy. Trying to let his anger out somehow, he aimed at a wall of vines and punched it with full force. Unbeknownst to him, behind the vines was a rock wall. Blinded by anger, he didn't realize and punched anyway. As soon as he felt the wall hit his fist, he let out a yell full of shock and instant pain. He laid on the ground, grasping his fist as it was know bruised and bleeding. The medic team came in and had to take a look at his fist. Turns out, his hand was completely fractured and it would take weeks for his hand to heal. Making the unfortunate decision for himself, he decided to go to the hospital for proper and extensive care. Eddie walked back to camp with Brady and the medic team and explained how he got angry and made a dumb decision, and would leave the game in result. As the tribe said their goodbyes, Eddie was flown off in a helicopter, being medically evacuated.
12th: Jess! Jess was a weird character this season. She had a strong hero game in her original season. But it felt as if she played a very hesitant and paranoid game this time. Making maybe one or two connections the whole game, she didn't have good opinions about most of her tribemates. She wasn't horrible at challenges so her tribe would keep her. But after the loss of Eddie, the tribe was swept from under their feet and lost the immunity challenge. Jess was quick to target Anne-Marie as the two had had previous arguments in the past. It wasn't surprising since Anne-Marie was known for fighting, but Anne-Marie was also good socially. In Anne-Marie's alliance, Oliver was kidnapped to Mogo Mogo for tribal council, leaving her and Z. She convinced Z to vote out Jess, but Xander also on his own was targeting Jess. That was three against one. Jess found out about Xander and quickly shifted gears to target Xander instead. But it didn't matter. Jess was voted out in a 3-1 vote, leaving only one previous winner left.
11th: Tammy! Tammy is one of my favorites in my series so far. She had a great underdog story in Pearl Islands but she also didn't play fair either, which I loved. She did the exact samae thing this season. She was not a fan of almost any of her tribemates other than Vito. She got into disagreements and fights for the time she was in the game. Obviously this rubbed people the wrong way, but they neve had an oppurtunity to vote her out. By Episode 8, she got into a major fight with Xavion and that is where people had had enough. She wasn't a likeable tribemate for most, but she also wasn't great at challenges either, making it easy to target her. Oddly enough, Tammy voted for Vito for some odd reason, but she was voted out 6-1.
10th: Z! Somehow Z became an underdog this episode. All season, she was doing fine socially. That ended when she got into the fight with Eddie, ending their alliance, and causing him to lose his anger. But she pursued the alliance with Oliver and Anne-mArie and kept looking forward. Another tribe swap split Oliver from their alliance and left Z and Anne-Marie with an already powerful trio with Georgia, Kaylee, and Rylin. Anne-Marie isn't stupid though and noticed the powerful trio. She knew she could get further with those three than Oliver and Z. Anne-Marie convinced the three to join their alliance and convinced them to all vote for Z. At tribal, it was set that Z would get voted out unanimously. But, Anne-Marie changed her mind last minute, voting for Kaylee with Z. But it didn't matter, still sending Z home 3-2.
9th: Xavion! Xavion is another likeable player for me and I was glad he made the merge. At the merge, Anne-Marie and Oliver both won immunity. Xavion was heavily on his own, being in no alliances. So others who were alreaady in alliances picked Xavion as an easy target. Except for Anne-Marie and Oliver. Anne-Marie had convinced Oliver that Georgia was a way bigger threat than Xavion as she knew Georgia's performance from her season. Oliver was easily convinced and was set on Georgia. Oliver went to Xavion and told him the plan of voting for Georgia, while Anne-Marie went to her alliance of Georgia, Kaylee, and Rylin. They all talked and officially set on Xavion. Oliver's new majority alliance with Amy, Kaylee, Rylin, and Vito also discussed Xavion. But Oliver wasn't convinced. At tribal, not surprising anybody, Xavion was voted out 7-2, leaving Oliver not wanting to make an easy vote.
8th: Anne-Marie! Anne-Marie was a lot more of a villain this season I feel like. She didn't get into as many fights as last season, but still played a really sneaky game. This episode, she happened to get into two seperate fights with Vito and Amy. But the fight with Amy was a lot for Anne-Marie. Amy had set off Anne-Marie like no had before. Not since Georgia had in her last season. Anne-Marie was now desperate to get Amy out. Amy being a pretty good player all around and having a win to back her up should make her an easy target. But Amy was good socially, just like Anne-Marie. Amy had luckily positioned herself in the majority alliance of five. The alliance had Amy and Vito in it, so it was easy to target Anne-Marie. At tribal, Anne-Marie was only able to convince Oliver and Georgia to side with her, sending Anne-Marie home in a 5-3 vote.
7th: Vito! Vito was a great player once again, having good connections and staying under the radar. However, this episode kind of ruined some relationships. He was able to win the reward challenge where he got an overnight spa. He would not shut up about once he got to camp and suddenly decided to leafe the majority alliacne of five. Vito still had his alliance with Xander though. Together, they targeted Kaylee he had a slightly negative opinion about. In Xander's OTHER final two with Amy, they targeted Georgia, who they realized that Xavion was right about Georgia. But now his past alliance was targeting him. Being in the minority now, Vito was voted out 4-2-1. Xander ended up siding with Vito and together they voted for Kaylee, leaving Amy by herself voting for Georgia.
6th: Oliver! Oliver really impressed me this season. He somehow became the competition beast this season, as well as not having too many fights or disagreements. After he had finally lost the immunity challenge to Georgia, he became very nervous and a little paranoid, causing him to leave his alliance. In order to convince people to keep him, he worked hard at camp to make the others want to keep him. But his threat level was too high to keep him in. it was an unfortunate tribal, but an expected turnout. Oliver was voted out unanimously 5-1.
5th: Xander! Xander was a super fun player this season! He was great socially and kept himself in a good position most of the game. He had final twos with Vito and Amy, who were both great players, which kept him in the loop on votes. Except this one. Realizing his secret and quiet game, it was likely he could make it to the end if no one does anything about it. So Kaylee and Xander convinced Georgia and Amy that he was a bigger threat than meets the eye. Unfortunately for Xander, Amy and Georgia listened to Rylin and Kaylee. At tribal, Xander was blindsided in a 4-1 vote.
4th: Georgia! Once again, Georgia was looking a very strong contender at winning. But just like last season, her social game stopped her from achieving that. This episdoe, just like Oliver, her immunity streak ended. This put Georgia at the edge, making it very possible for her departure. Last episode, Georgia left her alliance with Kaylee and Rylin because of her rivalry with Rylin. This made her very vulnerable now. Now that Kaylee and Rylin were in an alliance with themselves and a seperate alliance with Amy, Georgia had no other way of avoiding elimination. Preparing herself for the worst, Georgia was voted out in a 3-1 vote.
3rd: Amy! Amy almost gave me a heart attack, I really thought she was about to win again. At this point, everybody had a pretty good connection with everybody else. Rylin and Kaylee had their final two, Amy and Kaylee felt inseparable, and Rylin and Amy were getting to bond more and more. At the immunity challenge, Kaylee was able to win and secure her spot at the Final Tribal Council. But that left a tough decision for her. She had great relationships with Rylin and Amy and couldn't decide who to bring with her. Originally, she was planning on voting out Rylin because she felt closer to Amy than Rylin. But it wasn't until at tribal where Kaylee changed her mind and was set on Amy. Amy had won the game before and Kaylee believed she could do it again. Making a final decision, Kaylee voted out Amy, bringing Rylin to Final Tribal Council.
Runner-Up: Rylin! Rylin was a great player and I'm very proud of him! He ended up being the most strategic player of the game and he finished with good social connections, making him a strong contender to win. But, Rylin struggled to win competitions this time around. Only having one competition win under his belt, he tried his best to convince the jury how his social and strategic game makes him deserving of the win. He played this game from beginning to end and would have made a great winner. But, Kaylee also had a strong resume to back her up, and the jury found it more impressive. Rylin was only able to convince Xander and Vito to vote for him.
Winner: Kaylee! Once again, we continue our streak of female winners. But what a great winner Kaylee is! Kaylee played a powerful social and physical game, just like she did on her original season. On Australia, Kaylee had a good immunity streak going until final three, where she was voted out from being a strong threat to win. This season, she made sure that wouldn't happen. Lucky enough for her, she made it to final three. The whole season she wsa eyeing that final immunity challenge, but didn't want to only rely on that. So she made friends and alliances as much as she could. Lucky for her, her two strongest allies, Rylin and Amy, made it with her to the final three. She had unbreakable relationships with both of them. So just in case she didn't win that final three challenge, she would have her social game to potentially save her. But fueled with determination, she wanted the instant gratification of being safe. She was able to win that final three challenge and secure a spot in the FTC. It was deciding who to bring with her that made it hard. But at the end of the day, she saw Amy as a stronger threat than Rylin. At the FTC, she talked about how her social and physical game had strong balance and helped her make it as far as possible. She even endded up with the most votes cast against her, but she still made it to the end. Her plead was succesful! Amy, Anne-Marie, Georgia, Oliver, and Xavion voted for Kaylee to win. Kaylee won Brady's Survivor All-Stars in a 5-2 vote!!!

This was a fantastic season and I am very pleased with how it all went down. All-returnee seasons have always been my favorite, and this season helped that. Obviously I won't do potential returnees since they all have made a name for themselves in the past, but I'll say who were the All-Stars of the All-Stars.

Super All-Stars: Kaylee, Rylin, Amy, Georgia, Xander, Oliver, Anne-Marie, Z, Eddie

Past Seasons
Borneo
Australian Outback
Africa
Marquesas
Thailand
Amazon
Pearl Islands

Stay tuned for next season!

2023.08.04 21:25 _LaGrand_ [S] Brady's Survivor All-Stars CAST REVEAL

(SCROLL PAST THE PARAGRAPHS FOR THE FULL CAST. THIS REVEAL TAKES A BIT)
(I would appreciate it if you read all intros though!)

Thank you all for your opinions and suggestions on the last post. I've taken each comment into consideration and have spent a few hours making sure this is a cast I am happy with and can bring the most entertainment with. After going through a few different drafts of a cast, I have settled on a cast that I am really excited for, and they will be revealed right now!

18 Players have made a name for themselves and have proved themselves on their respective season. Whether by winning competitions, being crazy strategic, being a fan favorite to the audience, or even be hated by tribemates. These players have earned a spot in this crazy showdown that will be known as Brady's Survivor All-Stars!

I'm going to try and go gender by gender, season by season. Let's start with the women!

All the way back in season 1, we are met with an interesting character. After she created a strong social and strategic game, she became very trustworthy to tribemates. However, she also did not follow others like a sheep. Whether it benefited her or not, she always worked as a lone wolf at the end of the day. And now, she is back. Give it up for...

Amelia "Amy" Turner, S1 Winner!

Continuing in the same season, this next competitor is no small threat. Having won 5 overall individual challenges, getting by unnoticed was tough. And despite having good connections with her tribemates, her threat level was too large to let slide, resulting in her departure unanimously. She is invited back to see if she can try and continue that threat level while keeping it controlled and under the radar. Give it up for...

Zoe "Z" Otto, S1 4th!

Let's travel back to the Australian Outback. This girl was a triple threat, and that is hard to do. She could win competitions, she was great strategically, and was so liked by tribemates, she almost went all the way. But her time ended up being cut just short, leaving her going home empty handed. She would like prove to others again that she will be able to win, while continuing adding more reasons to win during the game. Give it up for...

Kaylee Jennings, S2 3rd!

So far, it has been seen that challenge wins can build a strong resume, and that is obvious. That was no different for this person during Africa. After creating a strong alliance in Episode 2 and Episode 3, they all went to go on and do fantastic. They were a great group, and this girl was no different. She could keep winning competitions if she wanted to, but end up safe if she didn't because of her alliance. But, as the season was coming to an end, it was clear she had a stronger chance of winning, so she was voted out. She is here to prove herself again. Give it up for...

Willow Raynott, S3 4th!

From the same season, this girl was lucky enough to fly completely under the radar. She played a very similar game to Willow. She could win competitions, she had a good social game, and even had a strong alliance with her as well. But, Willow's threat level made her somewhat invisible. After she was voted out, she was able to win final immunity and unveil everything she has done while not being worried about. This case for the money was appreciated and she won the game because of it. Give it up for...

Jessica "Jess" Ferraira, S3 Winner!

Now we travel to Marquesas. This girl had a tough game, having to play with so many strong players. She ended up with the second most challenge wins, but also tied for the most votes cast against her. This underdog had a tough time after almost being voted out tribal after tribal. But lucky for her, she had a great social game. This social game was what saved her from elimination a number of times and is actually what won her the game. Give it up for...

Juana Torres, S4 Winner!

Now lets travel to the Amazon and think for a moment. Personally, if I thought of the word "villain", this girl is who comes to mind. She was not liked by most of her tribemates and almost got voted for several times, but she didn't care and she didn't let that stop her. In total, she got into about 8 fights that affected her social game. But somehow some way, she made it further than tons of others, who were liked more by tribemates. With some luck on her side and ending up in a few ties, she propelled herself further towards the finish line. She didn't make it all the way, but she easily made a name for herself. Give it up for...

Anne-Marie Morrison, S6 5th!

While we stay in the Amazon, we look at a competitor who was Anne-Marie's biggest rival. This lady was a beast, winning 7 challenges overall. It was almost impossible to vote her out because she won so many immunity challenges. She tried constantly to get Anne-Marie out and failed quite a bit, but eventually succeeded. She was great physically, but ended up lacking socially, making her fall just short of the title of winner. She is coming back prove that she can do it all over again, even if there are others who may stand in her way. Give it up for...

Georgia Peters, S6 Runner-Up!

For our last female, we travel to the most recent season, Pearl Islands. At the beginning of the game, she was in a strong majority alliance that looked like they could control the game. But there was a problem. Her tribe never won a single immunity challenge, eventually resulting in her pre-merge elimination. Lucky for her, a twist came into play that fully worked in her benefit. Her and another voted out castaway had the opportunity for a second chance and came back into the game. She did not disappoint. She was not very liked by tribemates, but was a strategic mastermind and convinced others to keep her in longer. Eventually, her time faded and she was finally voted out for a second time, but she certainly was able to prove herself. Give it up for...

Tammy Garcia, S7 6th!

That concludes our female All-Stars, now let's turn it over the Male All-Stars!

In the Australian Outback, this guy was not afraid of the spotlight. He was easily the flashiest player that season, won multiple competitions, and was crazy strategic. All of these attributes made him go all the way to the end. But, he wasn't really well with his social game. Bringing his best pal with him to the final two cost him the whole game. He is coming back to hopefully be able to improve socially. Give it up for...

Vito Luco, S2 Runner-Up!

Our next guy can be found in Africa. He solidified himself as a fan favorite and a strong competitor very early on. Being in the majority alliances with jess and Willow, who were also strong competitors, made his odds of going far very high. His social game was one of the best we've seen on the series. In fact, he never got a single vote the entire season, despite being eligible for elimination at every tribal he went to. His duo with Jess was fantastic and they both really helped each other. They both made it to the FTC together and were both happy with the outcome. But, Jess had much more to look at than him, causing him to closely lose in a 4-3 vote. He is back, hoping to reunite with his partner Jess, but try and shine just a bit brighter. Give it up for...

Mac "Mac N Cheese" Cheedleton, S3 Runner-Up

As we travel to Marquesas, we reach another villain. His job at home has made him very good at being direct with people, and that was also shown on this season. Because he was so direct with others, he wasn't very liked by his tribemates. There was one other guy in particular who hated him the most. These two shared a strong rivalry, despite being aligned in the beginning. They hated each other so much, that there came a point where, they would constantly vote for each other, regardless of what plans were. Finally getting his rival out at F8, he felt achieved for making it further than the other guy. But, this rivalry was not unnoticed, and he was sent home the next tribal after. This rivalry created a strong presence for him and lasted the whole season. Give it up for...

Oliver Lloyd, S4 7th!

This next guy was the other half of Oliver's rivalry. But that never made him the hero in this situation. This guy didn't get along with others, just like Oliver. This fact alone made it very easy for him and Oliver to begin hating each other. Both of the gentleman would get votes all the time but would stay in. Eventually, Oliver won the little battle and Oliver's rival was sent home just before him. He is coming back with a vengeance towards Oliver and ready to make it further than him this time. Give it up for...

Edward "Eddie" Katz, S4 8th!

Our next guy is way more laidback and easygoing than the last two. Being described as a "generic 90s comedy stoner", he followed exactly that stereotype. It almost felt as if he was on the show for vacation, to make friends, and just relax. Which he stayed true to. He became the fan favorite due to his being able to connect with almost everybody, but also not being too smart. But somehow he ended up winning the second most immunity challenges and ended the season with just one vote against him. At FTC, it was clear Juana had more to prove, resulting in his loss. He has no intentions on playing a bigger game than last time and plans to continue what he started; make friends and relax. Give it up for...

Jordan Delgado, S4 Runner-Up!

We now travel to Thailand and meet a popular guy. Being a Law Student made this guy an easy threat. He was very strategic and became the most strategic throughout the season. But he was also a challenge beast, making it hard to vote him out because he ended up safe a lot. At final three, the streak broke and he lost immunity. He never was great socially, but his threat level was also too high. Although he made it just short this time, he wants to attempt making a better social game. If he can't he'll stick with what he knows how to do. Clearly its worked well before. Give it up for...

Rylin Patel, S5 3rd

Back at Pearl Islands, we are met with another strong threat. Despite being a Taxi Driver, he was fantastic at challenges and was great socially. It was tough to vote him out since he was either immune, or was apart of a majority. He even had a nice bromance with another competitor that we will get to in just a moment. At F4, he failed to win immunity. He was hopeful that he could make it past the tribal, but his ride or die ended up blindsiding him. He is coming back, wanting to make sure he can continuously win immunity challenges so there is no chance of being blindsided. Give it up for...

Abdul Bobi, S7 4th

Staying in Pearl Islands, we see the other half of Abdul's bromance. They were an unlikely duo, but they accomplished quite a bit together. Abdul was good physically and this guy was good socially. It looked like they were unstoppable. That was until Final 4. Him and Abdul wanted to get the only eligible person they could that wasn't either of them, but he was conflicted. Letting Abdul get far with his threat level was risky. Eventually, Aubrey convinced him to blindside his partner for the better chance at winning. So he did it. But at the end, it didn't pay off. He was voted out the next tribal, falling just short. He comes back, hoping to make amends with Abdul and try his best not to blindside his allies. Give it up for...

Alexander "Xander" Hyung, S7 3rd!

Our final All-Star, also in Pearl Islands, was one of the favorites. Early on in a smaller twist, he was given the chance to mutiny. He did, putting him on the Morgan tribe. But the decision cost him. The Morgan tribe was not able to win a single immunity challenge, resulting in this guy becoming a pre-merge boot. But in the bigger twist that brought Tammy back, he was also brought back. Desperate to fulfill his second chance, he did what he could. He won a couple challenges, he became super strategic, and was well liked. But other castmates wanted him and Tammy gone like they were before. It wasn't until final five where they finally were able to vote him off. But his surprising underdog story secured him the title of fan favorite. He comes back, hoping to not get voted out at all this time, and prove himself. Give it up for...

Xavion Ricci, S7 5th!

And that is everybody! Here is the full cast of All-Stars:
Amelia "Amy" Turner, S1 Winner
Zoe "Z" Otto, S1 4th
Kaylee Jennings, S2 3rd
Vito Luco, S2 Runner-Up

Georgia Peters, S6 Runner-Up
Abdul Bobi, S7 4th
Tammy Garcia, S7 6th
Xavion Ricci, S7 5th
Alexander 'Xander" Hyung, S7 3rd

I am very pleased with this cast and plan to have the season out by tomorrow. Coming up with a cast was very hard. There were easily players I was dead set on having as All-Stars, but there were so many others who also played great games who just missed out. The following people below were players I considered for All-Stars and hope to see again later:
Bridgette "Bridge" Davis, S1 Runner-Up
Thomas Sui, S1 3rd
Jacob "Jake" Sullivan, S1 6th
Hokulele "Hoku" Keoni, S2 Winner
Justine Tyung, S2 4th
Rona "Sprite Paloma" Gonzales, S2 5th
Candice Weston, S3 3rd
Kairon Vincent, S3 5th
Shawn "The Syncopation" Voldoski, S4 4th

Fiona Kim, S5 Runner-Up
Kiona "Kio" Patraka, S5 5th
Taylor Ross, S6 Winner
Joey Powers, S6 3rd
Kyle Simmonds, S6 6th
Nathan "Nateson" Jackson, S6 7th
Nate Smith, S6 8th
Aubrey McDaniel, S7 Winner
Clarece Nkosi, S7 Runner-Up
Nikolai "Nicky" Gavrilov, S7 8th

If you have a character on that was considered but didn't make the final cut, don't fell discouraged. There were so many strong players to choose from. In total, I was considering 40 players, but I can only fit 18. I would love to have some of these players on future seasons and they will all be kept in mind!
If you have a character that is an All-Star, congratulations! All of these players really proved to me that they are All-Stars and I thank you for submitting them to my series. I expect a great season with this batch!
That being said, I plan on making updated cast pictures so you don't have to. Unless you have an updated picture you would like to use, I will make it. However, I plan to color code their clothes with their tribe color so if you give me an updated look, I may alter it slightly.

That being said, thank you all for supporting my series! It has been a lot of fun to finally make my return and enjoy it as much as I did those years ago. You all make this series possible and I thank all of you for that. With all of that, I will sign off now. Get excited for All-Stars! It's gonna be great!

2021.06.14 21:57 hacking_stuff Image Huffman Coding Decode

Hi,

2021.06.13 05:21 Twig7665 [S] Twig's Survivor: Aotearoa

Hey, everyone. Welcome back! This time, we will be going to the Oceanic island nation that is New Zealand, known locally as Aotearoa! This season's tribe divisions will be slightly different, as they won't be based on any theme, they will be decided by the players themselves. Additionally, there will be 20 players, but two will get eliminated before the game even begins because of a bullshit twist. Now, we will meet the 20 castaways:
Abdul Bobi, u/asiansurvivorfan
A 45-year-old Taxi Driver who is constantly in a state of stress following his wife's death. Will he be able to come to terms with his wife's tragic death?
Andrew Hinton, u/SilverOwl24
A 27-year-old Tour Guide with a huge amount of street smarts, and a blunt disposition to boot. Will he anger his tribe through these means?
Catherine 'Cat' McMahon, u/dramaking_22
A 25-year-old Children's Entertainer who always puts others before herself and is playing to raise money for the cancer treatment of her brother. Will she make her sick brother proud?
Charlotte Lewis, u/Troopher
A 27-year-old Company Owner with quite the ego, who loves to trash talk others. Will this way of thinking help or hinder her in this game?
Cody Diaz, u/SzazameQ0O0
A 19-year-old College Basketball Player who is nice most of the time, but enjoys playing to win. Will people catch on to the fact that he isn't just some pretty boy?
Dixie O'Brien, u/dramaking_22
A 28-year-old Fashion Designer who is very opinionated a lot of the time, and is very successful in the fashion world. How will these talents translate to Twig's Survivor?
Esmeralda 'Ezzie' Rackhelm, u/swoldow
A 46-year-old Stripper who has an extremely traumatizing past, and wants to play this game to hopefully leave with a man. How far will someone as eccentric as her get?
Felix 'Man In Black' Dabu, u/IAmWolfNinja
A 46-year-old Poker Player who lost an eye due to his love of street fights, and loves to tell stories about his past. Will he prove that not all poker players play erratically on Survivor?
Hutch Jennings, u/swoldow
A 22-year-old Hockey Player who is an impressive 6'8", and is one of the nicest people a person could meet. Will his Canadian nature cause him to be an easy target?
Jessica Abrefa, put in by yours truly because there was one spot remaining not filled up
A 25-year-old Poker Player who experienced racism in the past and flirts with any young man she sees. Will her irrational worry of being with other poker players ruin her game in the end?
Kayla Neal, u/SilverOwl24
A 26-year-old Veteran of the NAVY, she is a proud lesbian and was inspired to enlist in the NAVY by her grandfather. Will she do well on this next great adventure?
Kaylee Alvarez, u/KingTyson27
A 24-year-old Tattoo Artist who has a lot of opinions, and has been hated everywhere she goes because of it. Will she finally get the respect she wants and win this game?
LaQuanna Thomas, u/swoldow
A 27-year-old Popcorn Vendor who stress eats as a coping mechanism for her father's death, and plans to get everyone on the island to starve so she can win. Will her insane strategy pay off in the end?
Lela Walker, u/dramaking_22
A 36-year-old School Psychologist who had to call the cops on her father in her youth, then went on to pursue her dreams of helping people. Will her polite nature help her win this game?
Marcus 'The Leviathan' Garcia, u/Troopher
A 40-year-old Ex-Convict who used to do crimes, but has reformed himself, but still has his inner demons that get him to backstab in this game. Will he finally be able to get himself together?
Ryan Brown, u/asiansurvivorfan
A 27-year-old Computer Specialist who is using this game to test his social skills. Will he find out if they are any good or not?
TeJean 'TJ' Simon, u/KingTyson27
A 22-year-old Music Student who has a really frickin' good taste in music who is using his knowledge of music theory and his physicality to get deep into the game. How will he fare against his competitors?
Thad Derst, u/KingTyson27
A 25-year-old "Rock Musician" (very loose term here) who is misogynistic as hell and hated in the music community, he's got his eye on the prize and doesn't care how many people he has to burn to win. How much of a trainwreck will he be?
Ximena Verez, u/asiansurvivorfan
A 22-year-old Fencer who has experienced a seriously traumatizing event that lasted for years, and now is a fencer after picking up that discipline in rehab. Will her wisdom work out for her?
Yuuma Kobayashi, u/Troopher
A 29-year-old Pro Gamer and Voice Actor, he is a true geek at heart, very smart too, but extremely weak physically. Will his likability carry him deep?

20th/19th: Lela and Cody. Seriously, screw this twist. Everyone would rather see 20 players compete over 18 with two not even making it in. Jay, the host, announces that two immunity necklaces are up for grabs a few days after the 20 contestants are stranded, and Andrew and Ezzie are able to secure those necklaces. Cody and Yuuma try to strongarm an all guy's alliance after seeing the last season, by getting Andrew and Thad, who hated each other after a huge fight the other day, to work together, but it didn't work, since the other two members, Leviathan and Ryan, didn't really want to be in the alliance anyways. Cody is then confronted by Kaylee, and they get in a huge disagreement. Lela, on the other hand, doesn't really make an effort to bond with anyone, thinking that she could skate by. Andrew and Ezzie are told that they are the tribe captains, with Andrew creating the green Ika tribe and Ezzie getting the blue Rakau tribe. Andrew picks Charlotte, and Ezzie picks Thad, and then a schoolyard pick happens, leading to the Ika tribe being made up of Andrew, Charlotte, Hutch, Kaylee, LaQuanna, Leviathan, TJ, Ryan, and Ximena, and the Rakau tribe having Abdul, Cat, Dixie, Ezzie, MIB, Jessica, Kayla, Thad, and Yuuma. Cody and Lela feel awful for not getting picked, and Cody tries to make Lela feel better. They both remain respectful of not being picked, and wish the others luck. Jay then lets the remaining people know that the game is on. (Side note: Cody and Lela are going to be on Guatemala, the next season, and to the people who created them, you need not update them, since these two seasons were only filmed a few weeks apart in my head-canon).
18th: Jessica. My insertion into the season, since the cast wasn't full. I kind of rigged her going early, sorry about that. She injured herself in the first challenge, slowing down the Rakau tribe a lot, leading to them losing. Cat and MIB become the first people to start talking game after they lose the challenge, and they figure that Jessica is weakening the tribe already, and MIB says that he recognizes her from playing poker. They pull in Ezzie and Abdul, and they officially begin to target Jessica. Thad and Kayla start to quarrel, and talk of blindsiding one of them come up too. Yuuma has a panic attack for being outside of his element, and so many targets emerge within the first proper cycle of the game, and it ends with Jessica being voted out unanimously, 8-1. She casts the one vote for Cat, worrying that she was too close to MIB.
17th: LaQuanna. In all honesty, her strategy was insanely funny and I was hoping to see more come out of it. She had an alliance with TJ and Ximena, but in the second episode, TJ begins to catch on to LaQuanna hoarding all the food on the tribe's island. He then forms an alliance with Charlotte, Hutch, and Kaylee, calling it a so-called "pretty people" alliance jokingly, but not believing it. Ika suffers a reward challenge loss, demoralizing them further so that they lose the immunity challenge. Ryan decides to dip from the all-male alliance and work with TJ's alliance, so they are given the majority. Leviathan starts to consider targeting Hutch for being strong, yet very clumsy a lot of the time thanks to his height. LaQuanna's hoarding antics are brought to a halt as she is voted out 5-4 thanks to Ryan choosing to flip at the last second.
16th: Ryan. He came into this game wanting to work on bettering his social skills, and he wound up pissing off Andrew very early on. Andrew then tried to use Ryan to vote out Hutch, before sending him out afterwards. Leviathan tries his best to convince Ximena to vote with him, but she feels threatened by his size and serious nature. After winning the most pointless reward challenge, the Ika tribe is beaten by the scrappier tribe of the two, Rakau, wins immunity, and Ika winds up at their second tribal council. Hutch and TJ hear information that Ryan has been persuaded by Andrew to flip, and they tell Charlotte and Kaylee about this, so they pin all their votes on Ryan, and Ryan is voted out 4-3-1, with the stray vote coming from Ximena, who voted for Leviathan.
15th: Dixie. She played alright, but wasn't memorable in the slightest in her short time here. She and Kayla did have a mutual hatred of Thad, with his misogynistic ways and his tendencies to talk about his "successes" in the rock world and how he's a big rockstar who drives 15 cars. The others on that tribe didn't want to take out such a huge challenge asset so early, even if he was a cancer in camp who liked to break stuff. The Rakau tribe wins reward and gets an insane shelter, so one would think they would win immunity too, right? They don't. Yuuma suggests to MIB that they get rid of one of Dixie or Kayla, since they both clearly cause conflict with Thad, and they don't want to get rid of a strong number just yet. So they get the other four tribe members on board and they vote out Dixie in a 6-2 vote.
14th: Leviathan. The remaining castaways are waiting for the swap, and when it never comes, they are instead told that they will vote out one person from each tribe. They compete for a reward to be enjoyed at the other tribe's tribal council, and Ika wins reward, but are given the monkey's paw that they will go to tribal first. When Andrew's street-smart mouth gets him into a huge fight with Kaylee, she wants to vote him out. It seems like this will be the case up until tribal council, where Leviathan starts swinging truth bombs at TJ's alliance and tries to expose him as the mastermind, which TJ does not debunk. Ximena joins the alliance to vote out Leviathan, and he goes in a 5-2 vote.
13th: Thad. Ah yes, what happens when Chad Kroeger and Fred Durst's DNA gets mixed up in a cloning device. This guy was not a good player in the slightest. At first, it appears that Kayla will be the next to go for being so close to Dixie before she got out. Then the target shifts to Yuuma, for not pulling his weight at all in challenges, and when questioning at tribal council, Jay tells everyone that things will work a bit differently this tribal council. The other tribe will get to vote for who they want to be immune from the vote, then the Rakau tribe will vote. All three men on the Ika tribe vote for Yuuma, seeing him as extremely weak and keeping him around will allow them to continue winning. This causes a ruckus on the Rakau tribe's part, with Thad now yelling at Ezzie to vote out Kayla with him, since they have the numbers, and it would be foolish if she doesn't. This strongarming results in him getting blindsided 4-3, with only Abdul and Yuuma voting to keep him. Thad leaves surprisingly calmly, calling it "one of those days".
12th: Kayla. Without their strongest member, the Rakau tribe has to soldier on with their next strongest members, Abdul and MIB. While both are fit, neither of them are really in their prime, so the Rakau tribe gets utterly annihilated in both reward and immunity. While it seems kind of quiet this time around at Rakau camp, Abdul works on using empathy towards Ezzie to help get her vote to oust Kayla at tribal council, saying that he knows what it is like to have a hard life, just not to the extreme that Ezzie has. MIB still works with Cat and Kayla to get out Yuuma for being the weakest link, but when push comes to shove, and a tie between Kayla and Yuuma happens, MIB and Cat flip on Kayla and vote her out unanimously 4-0 on the revote.
11th: Yuuma. A very weak challenge performer, it is extremely surprising he made it this far. If this was a later season, he would have made merge, but it isn't. Rakau finally wins something again, with it being the reward challenge, but they still lose immunity. Abdul tries to push hard to get Yuuma out, showing that he's playing hard and not just to be dragged along as a goat, and MIB knows this, so he teams up with him to get out Yuuma, for now, so Abdul can feel like he accomplished something in his time playing. Ezzie sides with Yuuma, most likely because she was and votes for Cat with him, but it isn't enough, and Yuuma is voted out 3-2.
10th: Abdul. He's our final premerge casualty. He would have made the merge if A. they merged earlier, or B. MIB didn't have a bout of paranoia that caused him to target Abdul. After the Ika tribe wins another reward and immunity, the Rakau tribe are defeated, but not out just yet. MIB starts to see that the Rakau tribe is critically low on numbers, and he knows that if he were to make it to the end, he can't just use a solid voting block to get there. He needed to turn the other tribe against one another and get out all the strong people so he could get to the end easier. His first target would be Abdul. He lets Cat and Ezzie know that he thinks that Abdul will flip come merge, which isn't entirely true, but he wants them to think so. This causes Abdul to be voted out unanimously 3-1, right before the merge. He isn't angry, but disappointed in himself for not making it to the merge.
9th: Hutch. He really couldn't catch a break. Every tribal council he went to, he ended up getting votes at. Anyways, the merge happens, and the Tena Koutou tribe is formed, with Andrew, Cat, Charlotte, Ezzie, MIB, Hutch, Kaylee, TJ, and Ximena remaining. They then compete for immunity in an endurance competition, Hutch drops out with only two remaining, meaning that Cat wins the first immunity challenge. Kaylee has a moment of remembering her past, and it causes her to become angry at her family. She then is convinced to calm down by TJ, who has been her ride-or-die this entire time. MIB starts to see Hutch's massive frame as a threat to him physically, so he lets Hutch's OG tribe members know that Hutch was strategizing with him to take out one of them, and that he needs to go immediately. When questioned about this, Hutch does a really poor job covering up his tracks, and he appears to have been caught in a lie. Only Ximena believes him, and they vote for MIB, thinking that he's a snake, and it fails for them. Hutch is voted out 7-2 and becomes the first member of the jury.
8th: Cat. MIB isn't done just yet eliminating all the challenge threats. After winning a reward with Andrew, Ezzie, and Ximena, MIB begins to take notice that all the people left behind could be strategizing with Cat, since they were part of an alliance. At the immunity challenge, MIB throws it so that he would be seen as having popcorn muscles, and Cat wins immunity, in theory saving herself from the vote. MIB is sent to Exile Island until tribal council. TJ and Kaylee decide that it is now or never to get rid of MIB, and their chance to get rid of him is now when he least expects it. They end up being very much in the wrong, since Ezzie is approached by them, and wanting to not burn bridges with MIB in case he survives, lets Cat know about it. MIB decides that when he returns, he will unleash hell at tribal council, and when he does, he causes a live tribal to occur, and everyone getting out of their seats to discuss strategy. MIB hears from Ezzie that his name is coming up, so he tells Cat that she has to give up immunity to one of him or Ezzie to deflect the heat off of them. She chooses to do so, and she gives up immunity to Ezzie. This causes the Ikas to see their opportunity to eliminate a challenge threat, and MIB votes with Ezzie and Cat for Kaylee, who ran her mouth a lot, resulting in Cat becoming the second juror in a 5-3 vote.
7th: Charlotte. This cast has come to play, and I love it! This episode has the Survivor Auction, and they are given option to split money to buy stuff, with TJ and Ezzie, and Charlotte and Andrew sharing their food items. TJ wins cheese and crackers in addition, and is offered to trade for another covered item, which he does, and he gets a cheeseburger and fries, with a drink. MIB gets a beer too. Charlotte wins the last bid, getting letters from home, and everyone but Andrew matches the bid to get their letters too. TJ gets into fights with both Andrew and Charlotte, and he tries to get them voted out through a split vote plan, reusing the ploy that Mariphosa used back in season one, that one of them found an advantage early on at Ika and he witnessed it. He gets Andrew and Charlotte to turn on one another, and when Kaylee wins immunity to ensure TJ's plan won't get screwed up, their plan seems to be set. Ezzie talks to Ximena, and the two agree that their pasts weren't the kindest to them both, and that they should create another power trio with MIB. Ximena isn't really trusting of MIB, and she votes for him again, which causes a tie between Charlotte and Andrew to happen, and Ximena ends up voting for Charlotte, who had been a jerk to her in the past, causing Charlotte to go in a 3-2 vote and become the third juror.
6th: Ximena. This was a shocker. After Charlotte's elimination, two factions seemed to form, with Andrew, Kaylee, and TJ in one and the Rakau two and Ximena in the other. Kaylee wins the loved one's visit, and shares it with Andrew and TJ, to demoralize the other three, which doesn't really work out, because MIB still wins immunity. MIB, Ezzie, and Ximena target Kaylee, and vote for her, while the others vote for loose cannon Ezzie. Not much happens to shake up stuff at camp, so when tribal council comes, a deadlock happens. This results in Ximena's elimination after TJ and Andrew both draw the correct rocks. Ximena isn't angry, but is saddened to be the fourth juror.
5th: Andrew. With only a quarter of the cast remaining, the remainder seems to have TJ and Kaylee at the top, with Andrew below them, Ezzie next, and MIB at the bottom. When Ezzie wins reward, she shares it with MIB, despite his plea to take someone else to flip them. At camp, Andrew and Kaylee have an argument that escalates into them deciding that their alliance was done. TJ doesn't know what to do, so he guns for immunity and wins it. Andrew then begs MIB to vote out Kaylee with him when he and Ezzie returns, which he decides to comply with. Kaylee and TJ push for Andrew to go, and Ezzie becomes the swing vote, and she ultimately decides to side with TJ and Kaylee, eliminating Andrew as the fifth juror in a 3-2 vote.
4th: TJ. Finale time! The final four compete in their penultimate immunity challenge, with Ezzie and MIB's minds fixated on eliminating Kaylee to get out who they perceived to be the mastermind behind the votes. Kaylee flips back to TJ, and wins immunity, so Ezzie and MIB decide to vote for TJ instead. A tie happens between TJ and MIB, and a fire making challenge commences, the first of its kind in a F4 in my series. TJ ends up losing a close battle to MIB, and the two wish each other luck before TJ leaves the game.
3rd: Kaylee. She fought hard to the very end, and may have won if she won the final challenge and eliminated MIB, but she didn't. Ezzie drops out of immunity quite fast, knowing that she's guaranteed a spot in the final 2. Kaylee gives a strong effort to win, but unfortunately for her, she does not win, dropping out after three and a half hours to MIB. MIB, knowing that he will win against Ezzie, and not wanting to alienate Ezzie right before the end, votes out Kaylee and completes the reverse pagonging. Kaylee becomes the 7th juror.
2nd: Ezzie. She had an odd run. Starting off as an unlikely tribe captain, to having a tight alliance with MIB that took her to the end. She only got jury votes because MIB burned the last three jurors pretty hard. Andrew got pissed at MIB for pretty much dictating the entire game from the final ten onwards, leading to MIB explaining how the game worked to him, infuriating Andrew. Kaylee says that MIB destroyed her trust issues, and that she was afraid to trust him if they both were to return. TJ feels sympathy for Kaylee, but doesn't dislike MIB as much as the other two, and somewhat respects him. He still votes for Ezzie as to not enrage Kaylee.
1st: Man In Black. This guy played such a dominant game. He only wasn't in the majority at the final five, which is insane. He won two immunity challenges, and controlled so much from the merge on. It was kind of a reverse pagonging, yet it still didn't feel boring to me in the slightest, because of all the voting block shifts, which caused it to not be a full on pagonging. He got the votes of Hutch, Cat, Charlotte, and Ximena. Ximena was a bit intimidated b MIB, but still voted for him out of respect. Hutch also voted him out of respect. Cat still thought that MIB didn't want her to go, so she voted him. Charlotte really only voted MIB because she hated him less than Ezzie, which is kind of a fluke win, but still a strong one in my opinion. He gets an 8.5/10 for his dominance, but is docked some points for almost losing the jury vote.
Season Rating: I thoroughly enjoyed this season. It had some good blindsides, moments of comeuppance, characters, and had a very deserving winner. This season gets a 9/10 for me, but a slightly higher 9 than Panama, which was also great. This season is definitely the best of the three, even though all three seasons were pretty good.
Returnee Potential: Honestly, everyone who made the final ten has potential to return. It just depends on whether or not they fit the theme of future seasons.
Once again, I hope everyone who read this season enjoyed it! I enjoy writing these, so I may continue doing these for a while, and since summer break is coming up in a week for me, I will be able to pump these out a lot faster hopefully. The next season will be in Guatemala, and will feature the first two eliminated from this season as captains! It will also see the introduction of hidden immunity idols to spice up the game.

2018.01.31 07:42 Halbridious Hey all, I put together a long-form piece on the Griffin trade

You can find the full piece on my blog, hoopswithhal.weebly.com. This is also where I'm posting draft stuff, though I'm sure many of you lost your interest when the pick went west. I hope to link you all to more pieces semi-regularly, and I'll include blurbs here on the sub reddit as well.
Part of the article I'll put up here in simple reddit formatting:
THE PIECES: WHAT KIND OF VALUE IS DETROIT GETTING?
So here's a list of where the assets for this trade came about. It looks like the Pistons gave up a lot, but when you render it down, it's surprising they pulled this off in the first place.
PART 1: AVERY BRADLEY PART 1.5: 2nd round pick (2019)
So Avery Bradley was brought in as part of a trade for Marcus Morris, along with a 2019 2nd round pick, the same pick going to LAC.
Marcus Morris was brought in from the Suns in a trade before the 15-16 season. A DET 2019 2nd round pick went to PHX for: Morris, Reggie Bullock, and Danny Granger. Granger was cut as an expiring, Bullock has cemented himself in 2017-18 as a valuable role player, and Morris was shipped out.
So really, 1/3 of this Griffin trade is comprised of like, 1/2 a 2019 second round pick? That's incredible long-term value.
Part 2: TOBIAS HARRIS
Tobias Harris was brought to Detroit in a deadline day deal in 15-16 for: Brandon Jennings and Ersan Illyasova. At the time, Jennings was dead cap coming off an Achilles injury, and Ersan was a journeyman role player traded that summer for Caron Butler and Shawne Williams. So, despite the value he accumulated in DET, and how beloved (dearly beloved and deservedly so) he was in DET, Tobias's "value" as of SVG's take-over of the team is really just some expiring/unwanted contracts. A surprisingly low sunk cost.
Part 3: BOBAN MARJANOVIC
Boban was signed in the blockbuster 2016-17 summer window, using simple cap space. A mild sunk-cost due to our inability to fill that space with a more useful player, but no assets were spent to bring him into DET. It's unfortunate to see another fan favorite depart, but at least he's going with his good buddy. #BobiAndTobi forever.
Part 4: 2018 1st round Draft Pick
Perhaps the biggest asset to leave Detroit, certainly the biggest asset in terms of the value it had when SVG took office. The 2018 first represents a valuable, small, 4 year contract. It represents possible young players growing up in the D, becoming a star. Unfortunately, they'll do so with LAC now, but fans can breath a little easy - if DET slips up and ends up in the lottery this year, and actually wins the damn thing, they'll keep the pick. If they slip up just a bit, you're only losing the 16th pick or so and that's sucky, but the expected value there is NOT Blake Griffin.
PROS AND CONS
Pros:
1) Sheer Star Power: Plain and simple, Griffin is perhaps the biggest single talent on a Detroit Pistons roster since Grant Hill left. Chauncey Billups has a case, and Drummond is carving out one for himself this year, but neither were quite able to carry this kind of weight on their shoulders. Drummond simply can't - his herculean efforts just don't happen with the ball in his hands, he doesn't control his own destiny like Griffin can. Billups, for all his greatness, never had to. For the first time in at least a decade, Detroit has a bona fide ticket-seller, someone to be be a face of the franchise. Someone who can put the ball on the floor, blow by a good defender, and slam it home.
2) Secondary Playmaking: It's long been the (somewhat surprisingly unheralded) Achilles' Heel of this Pistons team that they lacked any kind of secondary playmaking. There are others who can pass - Stanley has the vision, Luke the craft, Bullock the will. But none of the players have been able to put the ball on the floor, draw serious attention, and make the right move, every play. Blake Griffin brings that to the Pistons. He can reset broken offense, create passes out of nothing, even bring the ball up the floor. This takes an incredible burden off the team while Jackson is injured, and off of Jackson when he's healthy.
3) Floor Spacing: Blake Griffin is no knockdown shooter. It'd be a grave mistake to call him one. But he has spent a great deal of his time the last 3 years improving his jumper to a functional level. Blake won't give you 40% from 3, but he's shooting a solid volume (5.7/game) at 35%, a clip solid enough to be respectable. He shoots the long-2s efficiently as well, shooting 43% outside the elbows last year. His gravity as a shooter isn't Curry-esque, but it does allow SVG to continue using 4-OUT concepts alongside his Elbow Motion sets, which is important.
Cons:
1) The Injuries: Blake Griffin's injury history is rough. Many of them are flukes - little sprains, little twists, a broken hand punching a trainer. He's had knee injuries. He's changed his playing style to mitigate this, and maybe lost a tad bit of his potency. There's no denying the concerns - SVG himself said it was an important factor they weighed when making the deal. You hope he's luckier hear, but there's full knowledge that 82 games a year for 5 years is a stretch.
2) The Money: Nobody wants to see those numbers on the cap sheet. It's as simple as that. Blake has an option when he's 33 for a 5th year worth near 40 million. He'll be picking that up. It's going to make things hard. Now, Tobias would've commanded 20-25, and Bradley 12-16 at by themselves, so the Pistons aren't necessarily shedding money long-term (they would've at least extended Harris). But Blake's deal is fairly immovable moving forwards - this is a serious commitment to him, on a team without a lot of great mid-level assets to flex around.
3) The Attitude: Detroit Vs. Everybody is the motto around here. But unfortunately, it's been "Blake vs. Everybody" for the Clippers for the last few years. Griffin is leaving a fairly cantankerous situation in LA, where he and CP3 were at each-others throats constantly, in an awkward environment that saw the Sterling Scandal go through and more. Blake is known as a fun loving dude - he's a comic, his commercials are usually great, he's been in movies. But he's known to argue with refs, to let guys into his head etc. Stan Van Gundy is a cool guy, and not a mean man, but he's a nit-picker and very vocal on the sidelines. How will Blake mesh with the team, and the staff?
But how should I FEEEL
I think, metaphorically, it's best to approach the next 3 years like you just got a really good High School kid signed up to play at your school. MSU, Michigan, whoever, just got a 5 star recruit. For the next 3-4 years, you're going to enjoy better basketball than you had before. But it WILL end. And hopefully we're sad it's over, not ecstatic that it's done.
