Hello! This week I'm running Chariot of the Gods. This is my first Alien game and at the same time first experience as a GM in any TTRPG. I've gone through several YT videos for tips, this subreddit and whatever I could find, like GM map for the ship, summaries, etc. Honestly, I'm still a bit nervous since the rules are sometimes a bit unclear and the scenario book sometimes doesn't help either. I've read both multiple times and still feel a bit unprepared.
I have some questions and would appreciate your answers or tips in general.

1. Can players just go from A-1 junction to other floors? It looks like they can, so basically most of the ship is opened for exploration since the beginning?
   
2. How does the air scrubber repair work? Can they repair it from just one floor of the ship? The other players just roam the ship in a meanwhile? Won't that just be quite boring for the repairer?
   
3. How do you count turns for the consumables purposes? Do you do it arbitrarily? In general I'm a bit lost with how to track time, do you have any tips?
   
4. If I get it correctly, the Event for auto destruction of Montero happens automatically. Is there any reason for Wilson to do anything?
   
5. I honestly have a bit of a trouble with Stealth system - one of the weird examples for me is the Abomination in Reactor room. The Room description says that if players move there quietly they might not wake it up (Mobility roll). Do I get it correctly that the player would specifically say "Hey, I'm going there STEALTHILY" then roll and if rolls badly, then go to Panic? It feels so weird, when even the rulebook says that you should roll sporadically

Hey everyone! I'm curious to know if anyone has ever had symptoms of mold exposure and even tested positive for mycotoxins, but no evidence shows in the home as to where the mold may be?
Back story, my wife has slowly had her health fail over the last 25 years. At first, she was diagnosed with a gluten allergy. We went gluten free and her health did seem to improve quite a bit for approximately 5 years. Since then it seems to be one thing after another, culminating in her pretty much feeling horrible most of the time. Her symptoms can range from gastro to burning arms and legs, coughing after eating, etc....She's told me on many occasions that she feels like she is dying. COVID didn't help our situation and we're still pretty restricted because we can't imagine adding the flu or COVID to how she already feels. When there is an opportunity to do something, she feels too horrible to even consider doing anything other than resting.
We have known for years that she was exposed to mold in her classroom, our first home and second home. We would bring these exposures to the forefront when seeing the multiple doctors we've seen over the years, but all have dismissed mold as a culprit, although they've not had any solutions for her continued failing health. We've spent likely over 200K seeing MD's, specialists, functional doctors and naturopaths. No one has an answer. Typically the relationship with these doctors ends with them thinking she is bringing these symptoms on herself and that she just needs to de-stress, meditate or take depression medication. Spoiler, none of these things have helped.
Fast forward to today. We're now working with a functional chiropractor who ran multiple tests and found that she has elevated Lyme bacteria and is positive for mold mycotoxins. This doctor asked us to run an ERMI test on our current home and it came back showing that there was mold detected, but not elevated. In his words, "Typically not a problem, but for you we should probably remediate." We brought in a mold company and they took air samples. Their air samples showed elevated mold in certain spaces, so they did visual inspections in those areas. No evidence of mold has been physically observed anywhere in our home. We then proceeded to spend 20K for a remediation company to clean our home using the HEPA sandwich method, removing all insulation from our attic space, remediation of that space including phogging and new insulation blown in. We also had a company who specializes in methods to clean mold from HVAC systems come in and clean our entire system.
After remediation we waited 6 weeks and took another ERMI test. Much to our surprise, the results were far worse than when we started. The ERMI now detected high levels of mold in our home. My wife has not felt better and in fact is probably even worse since remediation. She is going through treatment for for mold and so this may be due to herxmi or MCAS. Anyway, after the second ERMI came back worse we had the mold company come back out. Their air samples, again, found elevated mold in certain places. They even cut back dry wall in those spaces and found nothing. In all cases, everyone has said our house looks brand new. We plan to take another ERMI test as we've waited more than 6 months since the last. If this ERMI comes back high, we are considering moving.
So after this very long post, has anyone been down this path before? Where there is no visual evidence of mold in your residence even though testing keeps showing there may be? I understand the challenges with ERMI, air samples, etc...it feels like we are chasing a ghost to be honest. At this point in the process and if we purchased a new home, we will have spent north of 600K trying to figure out if mold is an issue. While I have no issues doing such a thing if needed, how in the world are we ever to know if there is an issue if the issue can never be seen and therefore properly removed?

When using bluetooth audio and playing a game that activates Game Mode, other sounds in the system become slowed and lower pitch and eventually the bluetooth audio force-disconnects.
Apple has confirmed this is a known problem with the bluetooth drivers on Apple Silicon and are offering me a full refund for this "serious defect in character".

Just looking for a good overview on my list i've created below - this is my first build and planning to be the only build for the next few years hopefully. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the 4090 to futureproof as much as possible, and the ryzen 7 given my focus in gaming for this PC. Would love to save some money on what I have here, but processor and 4090 in some capacity are hard locked for me.

Hey all,
Even though I’m a frequent flyer and never allowed my fear to disrupt any plans or wishes, I’m starting to get so unreasonably afraid of flying lately that I’m afraid it might affect my plans very soon. It has always been a fear of mine but it’s growing recently.
To give a bit of background, I abhor turbulence and especially a possible sudden drop mid-sky during cruising. It happened to me a few times and it’s so frightening it got me literally screaming for life before. I’m writing this in a flight from MRS to AMS where a massive weather system was on the way, looking like a hurricane on the map. The takeoff inside the clouds was terrifying.
I live in the Netherlands and the weather is often horrible, with shear wind, endless cloudy skies, where I can’t see anything! I also often travel to South America which is bumpy like crazy.
That said, I have a few questions / beliefs that, if someone can weigh in, would help me a lot in coping with this debilitating fear!

1. Assuming there are thousands of flights all the time in Europe, I expect that, within Europe, there’s so much feedback between pilots / airports that the chance of sudden unexpected turbulences are lower. Is that true?
   
2. Is there any chance the pilot may turn on the breaks mid-flight by mistake, forcing a fatal nosedive?
   
3. Pilots love to do everything at the same time when landing. Instead of turning, then opening flaps, then doing another turn, they like to do it all at once. Im dying seeing the land so close to me while everything is shaking when the plane extends the wings. How dangerous is it? Isnt it better to do one thing at a time? Sometimes they add cloud + turbulence to the mix to my misery.
   
4. How likely it is that a cumulus nimbus will randomly form in front of me suddenly, to the point the pilot unavoidably enter it?
   
5. The sounds of the plane, to me, are completely random. Sometimes it sounds like the engine is full on for 5s for no reason, sometimes it sounds like the pilot is using the brakes mid-air. How often do they mistakenly press these things they shouldnt?
   
6. I try to gaze directly into the eyes of the flight attendants in moments of difficulty, but they are way too good at hiding their fear. Are they ever afraid of anything? Not even in a severe turbulence?

Hi, looking for some help, education and advice.
I just purchased the car (CPO) for an insane discount plus I got Audi warranty till 2029 just to be on a safe side.
2021 32k miles, prestige with blackout package - $32500

• Virtual cockpit
  • To get satellite view I assume I have to pay some sort of monthly subscription fee, if so how much is it and which one is it
  • I have seen the traffic light countdown on some audis, is it available on e-tron and if so how do I get it
• There is a recall on the battery - what does the process look like now...meaning are the parts / software available and pretty quick turn around from the dealer
• Looking for some storage options - center armrest (wish it had a tray) anybody found one that work
  • Maybe under seat storage
• Hate the creaking on the center armrest towards the back plastic side. If I put my elbow on the leather part fine but backward towards the plastics lots of creaking (any solutions for that). I have been in 2 or 3 now and all of the do it.
• Looking for any mods that are out there - seen the ones for unlocking the hd matrix light (I may do that) anything else that is missing. I read a few like tire pressure monitor but don't know what I don't know.
• I can see the option to raise the car all the way up, is there any way to lower it all the way down?
• Is there a feature that will lower the back of car when the truck is open like most air suspension cars?

Really like the vehicle and am liking it more as I have it longer. Couple things I'm disappointed in like audio, which is a step down from what I'm used too, some of the quality (plastics) and some omissions. Plastics in particular are a little worrisome but I hope Audi fit and finish will overcome it and it will not become a problem Wish that AA/CP would show up in the dash or HUD but I know that will not happen. Wish seats had massage on the bottom cushion too but this is not per say a long distance curizer. Love the ride, the quiet cabin the features that are there.

So I am replacing my 36 year old ridiculously oversized forced air gas furnace and after getting multiple quotes and deciding on my contractor I am stuck between two different models. The Lennox SL280V and the Lennox EL280E, the SL model is about $500 dollars more.
I have a small cape cod in northern NJ, about 1400 sq ft, and I just don't know if the variable speed motor is worth the extra cost. The salesman was good and honest to not push me one way or the other and explained I won't really get any benefit cost wise from the SL model, just potentially more comfort.
I just wanted to get any advice from anyone else who spent the extra on a variable speed furnace if was worth it.

When there are lots of other things that AI could do to increase our effectiveness. For starters, we should be focusing on using AI for things that we know AI/LLMs can be good at, not spitting out 50 useless references.
So management, here are some things that would actually be useful to us to help bring down the backlog and greatly improve quality. All of these would also be a much better use of those IT development funds than AI search:
1) Automatic checking of 112 antecedent basis, and writing of the rejection. A single button push, and we just read it over and remove anything we don't agree with. We can implement with #3, and the applicant/attorney can handle most of it before it even makes it to an examiner.
2) Train a LLM that we input our best 1-5 references(that we believe teaches all the claims) into and it does the mapping and drafts the rejection. This is within the realm of what LLMs are capable of. Most of us are really good at searching, and writing the rejection is the most tedious part of this job. We have millions of rejections to train a LLM to do this. It doesn't have to be perfect, and if it can't put together something sensible for a claim, then we can either correct it, find another reference, or indicate allowability.
3) Have a user (stakeholder) facing version of PE2E so that we are all working with the same stuff. This way firms and companies can use this to manage their IP portfolios and assign work (we all know some are still using excel spreadsheets and secretaries). This also allows both sides to benefit from tool advancements in PE2E, and also would allow the examiner to contact the attorney who's actually assigned to the case. There is no reason to have a completely different system for the applicants. You can even create an API so companies can feel free to make their own customized front end versions to suit their specific needs if they want to.
4) All referenced parts of references in an OA should automatically be hyperlinked. In conjunction with #3, you could just click and it would open the reference in a new window, and highlight the referenced portions. You could also add a button that opens all the references used in an OA and highlights all the referenced figures and paragraphs. This would save examiners, attorneys, and inventors time. This can also work with attorneys arguments and can reference parts of any other document in the file (i.e. the arguments can hyperlink to parts of the OA)
5) One click analysis of IDS prior art. Essentially it's like #2, and it then shows you the highlighted pertinent part of those references (if any). This would be incredibly useful for any IDS, but moreso for those 800 reference ones.
6) Automatic checking of the application for grammar and matching of references to figures. This could be incorporated with #3 so that the applicant/attorney can potentially address these problems before it ever makes it to an examiner. Most of us don't bother checking this as it is, so this is a pure quality enhancement.
7) In SEARCH, as a part (or advancement to #2), the examiner should be able to highlight a portion of a reference, right click, and be able to associate that part with specific claim(s). It would also be smart enough to automatically associate similar claims, like if claims 2, 12, and 22 are basically the same, then you only need to click claim 2. Honestly, limit the selection menu to just the unique claims with an "expand" option in case we need it.
8) If you have #2 and #3, you can then present the applicant with a potential rejection for their amendments before they even submit it. This will eliminate poor amendments that don't really advance prosecution. You could even expand this to analyze the applicants entire spec and highlight potential portions that don't seem to have associations with the references used in the rejection.
9) Automatic checking if art is prior art for an application. We should also have a one click filter in search to limit all results to only prior art for that application. I shouldn't have to input a date or any of that crap, search is already associated with an application, so just automated this for us. This should also highlight or mark any references that are potential prior art exceptions.
10) Automatic checking for ODP. This can be done with #2s prior art and every application/patent associated with the same inventors/assignee that isn't prior art. It then writes up draft rejections for all conflicts it finds. With #3 the applicant should be able with a single click to automatically populate a TD based off the ODP rejections and submit it.
11) With #3, automatic checking and warning to the applicant/attorney for things that are missing in their response.
12) Automatic analysis of applicants claims, spec and figures such that I can highlight and right click a claim and select "show support", and it will show me only the parts of the spec and figures it believes is associated with that claim. This will save us time when we need to try and figure out what a claim actually means. This could also be expanded to write potential new matter rejections and/or with #3 and #8 to present potential issues to an applicant before they even submit an amendment.
13) Automatically attach search SEARCH history to the associated OA. Why do I need to manually do this for every OA? Same thing with IDSs, bib, and stamped amendments for being entered or not.
14) Automatically populate the OA summary form using the associated rejection. In addition auto populate the "3" for months to respond.
15) Put AIR requests on our docket as either their own tab or under "expedited". It's beyond stupid that this goes through email and isn't integrated with PE2E. This can even be more simplified for requesting an interview (either by the examiner or applicant) with #3.
All of these things are doable, and would be way more useful for the Office, examiners and applicants than dumping more and more money into useless "AI" search. Plus, if you have #2, then you can actually start to better evaluate automated search results and show pertinent portions in association with claims, which without this, any automated search is essentially useless anyway.
I'm sure other people here can add to this list of realisticly achievable things that can bring the office into the modern age and that are needed.

Exotic Perk: Golden Remnant
This weapon upon first draw fires one massive damage golden gun shot as long as golden gun is equipped costing the weapons full magazine, strong against barrier and unstoppable champions. After firing this single shot, reload speed is reduced by 65% (meaning it takes longer to reload) and the next magazine applies the Light Burnout de-buff on the wielder. Killing an enemy with Golden Remnant grants a medium amount of super energy, stronger enemies give more super and grenade energy, up to 35%, Guardians in the crucible count as 5% and guardians with their super active count as 7.5% as long as your super bar is under 75%. After casting your super, you may use this ability again by holding 'R' while the gun is at a full magazine. Dying does not allow the ability to be used again. If golden gun is not equipped than this this weapons exotic perk is basically useless.
Light Burnout: De-buff
The magazine after the high powered Golden Remnant shot is fired does 30% less damage to rank-and-file enemies, 25% less damage to powerful enemies, and 15% less damage to Bosses, Yellow bar enemies and Guardians. No damage drop-off for guardians with their super active. Switching weapons takes slightly longer as well, at a 5% time increase. this also creates a major decrease to impact and stability and other deficits to other stats. THIS EFFECT ONLY HAPPENS FOR ONE MAGAZINE. Swapping weapons does not remove the effect when switching back unless activating Golden remnant another time.
Special Perk 2: Rekindling Spirit
If the Golden Remnant shot misses a target that shot is refunded at the same strength.
Special Perk 3: Lighting the Fire
This weapon does a medium amount of bonus damage to fallen, scorn, hive and taken with a solar de-buff on them. up to 45% bonus damage. This weapon provides a extremely large explosion if the final shot of a magazine without the Light burnout effect defeats a powerful enemy spreading scorch across a large area.
Catalyst:
Acquired through Master level or higher nightfall's.
Catalyst ability: Splitting Eruption
The initial single strong golden remnant shot turns into two half Golden remnant powered shots that spread scorch to targets and ignites in a short radius around where the shot was fired and gives the wielder radiant for a short duration after a final blow. Stunning a champion with golden remnant creates an additional Golden remnant shot that fires at 35% strength.

Whoever wielded this weapon before the guardian was deeply invested in the intricacies of the Shard of the Traveler that was used during the Red War to fight back against the cabal. It seems as though word got out about his research and when the cabal caught wind, they came for him. Not much on this in the archives either, must have been a relatively unknown guardian, why wouldn't they contact us after we scurried to the farm? So many unanswered questions. Its unfortunate that he ended up losing his ghost and burning up with the almighty. The weapon schematics we recovered from his corpse intrigue me though, there's.. a piece of the shard on here! - Zavala

Just some pictures i took while doing some upgrades/replacements on my 13’ 1.8L Sedan.
Replaced all shocks and struts.
Installed new Kicker 6” speakers in all doors as well as new tweeters in the A pillars.
New Pioneer Head unit with wired Apple CarPlay(used an adapter to make it wireless.) I also installed the Wolfbox dashcam/backup cam, Footwell LED lighting, replaced the cigarette lighter with a 3 USB charger. The interior and back up lights were all replaced with LEDs.
Almost replaced the entire coolant system. (Rad, hoses, clamps, water pump, thermostat, reservoir. As well as the serpentine belt.
Replaced the ignition coil and MAF plastic connectors since they were both broken.
Replaced the exhaust manifold(manifold and heat shield painted with black ceramic high heat paint), replaced the midpipe and both O2 sensors and put in the ZZperformace catback system.
Got rid of the OEM laughable “Cold air intake”. Ran a custom hose straight to the bumper to pull in air from one of the blanks where the fog light would be at. Also wrapped the AEM intake with heat reflective tape.
And anyone who drives a Sonic knows they are piles of shit. So I’ve always called it the Turd when i refer to it. Because of this a added a custom touch to the back end of the car.
I’m 100% positive i did more i didn’t list but this post is already long enough. I had fun doing this, i really don’t give a shit about this car, that’s why i wanted to play a bit with it and also make my backup car a bit more reliable in the process.
Also, it is tuned by Trifecta and once i get the chance i will be logging some data for them and finding out if my custom air intake reroute had any significant increase in performance.

Hi all. I’ve been on travel a bit and have been reading about all the grievances.
I got home yesterday and just a bit ago did all updates, including the latest version of the app that restored alarms. I use them a lot and am glad to have them back.
My system consists of a Port and two SL satellites I use in different rooms of my apartment. All running 16.2 as of now.
I don’t know if anyone remembers the Murfie streaming service that failed a few years back. It was acquired but the guy who did has been having issues getting things going. About 10% of my ~1500 title collection is online and available for streaming. The Murfie service “app” doesn’t work with the new update. I imagine it might be a while before he can fix.
BUT!!! Playlists that I’ve created with my existing Murfie collection do work.
I don’t imagine many folks here are Murfie refugees, but just wanted to mention as a point of observation.
I’ve a long story as to why I’m holding out for Murfie to get back on its feet, but I won’t presume anyone cares. But if anyone wants, I’ll go into it.
