I'm in the process of transforming my gaming rig into a media server using Unraid, and I'm aiming for an optimized and robust setup. I’ve updated the build with additional storage components and configurations. I'd greatly appreciate your feedback on the build and any advice you might have!

Goals: - Utilize OBS and a capture device to back up and restore old family 8mm and VCR tapes, preserving these precious memories digitally. - Employ DaVinci Resolve for editing videos, including community podcasts that will be recorded with a full-frame mirrorless camera, enhancing the quality and engagement of local content. - Archive family photos from old picture collections to safeguard these historical images and make them easily accessible. - Host a Plex server and utilize a Blu-ray drive to convert my collection of Blu-rays, enabling easy streaming and access to my media library from any device. - Host my own AI model, such as Llama 3, leveraging the video card to handle AI tasks and computations efficiently.
I am currently running windows and would like to convert it to a VM. I have looked into the process and I believe it will be possible to get it running in vm. I would appreciate any suggestions or feedback to my plan. (My writing is subpar so I employed an AI to help me with the post)

I've got nearly 500gb worth of photos and other files to backup to my PC as my phone is nearly full. I don't use the cloud as I'm too poor, stupid, and paranoid for that.
Every time I drag the files over to my SSD, even if only one file like downloads or dcim at a time, the pc hangs and takes way too long until my 6800u W11 laptop crashes. I bought a 10gbps cable, but I still have these problems.
Is there any good software to make this process easier? What's the best or fastest way to backup 500gb worth of files before I can safely delete them to make space? Thanks.

I have 3 old iPads that still work but are stuck on iOS 9.something.
I was thinking of mounting them in a frame where I would have all 3 horizontal/landscape side-by-side and have them drive off 3 different photo albums on shuffle.
Does anyone know anyone who can make a frame that can accommodate this with a single power supply etc?

I've been struggling with this one for awhile. I know it's as easy as "don't pain shop" or "who cares what AP does, WH came back to reconcile, right?"
It's been 4 months since D-Day. Their affair started at work and lasted 5 months. We've been together for 7 years. He was home every night, so I never thought twice. I thought he was hanging out with friends. Like most of us BP's, I didn't think he had it in him to hurt me the way he did. I found out the day before we were to visit our wedding venue. We have since gotten married (I know, it was insane and sporatic. Prenup is signed. I don't regret it, but I do feel like I did it in my state of panic. Anyway, I have to mention this in order to explain how AP is affecting me moving forward.)
Anyway, things have been great over here. He no longer works with her. He's genuinely remorseful and has been supportive on my bad days, when I'm triggered, etc. MC has been going great as well. WH is in individual therapy. I will be going to IT soon as well, we're just pretty tight on funds right now with him having to quit. There's no contact with AP, I have access to everything and I stay on top of checking - not so much because of him, but because of AP. She is completely delusional.
When he came home for good, she sent anonymous packages in the mail along with her family. I found around 20 notes hidden throughout his things (he moved out for less than a week.) She emailed him on multiple email accounts, including an anonymous domain website. She created multiple reddit accounts to message him with photo proof if was her. She Cashapped him to attempt contact. They both play a popular RPGMMO game, where she has logged into, taken screenshots, and posted them to her Twitter. There are associated apps for the game, including Discord and Steam, that she has tried to reach out to him on. She created a Facebook page with her last name being WH's stating she was pregnant (she's not) to harrass us.
This was a few months ago, I have everything saved incase she attempts any type of contact again. She knows it's straight to the police. But, she's gotten her way around the no-contact by following us and posting content online such as:

• Following us to a concert in another state knowing WH would be there
• Wearing his clothes (he unfortunately forgot a few things when moving back, as he was trying to make it quick. Fair to mention WH has been attached to my hip as he has been unemployed until very recently)
• Posting photos with other items of his in the background, inconspicuously (This is kind of funny, because things like that go over his head)

There's probably more honestly, just typing this out makes my skin crawl. She knows we're married. WH feels bad for AP because it was her FIRST interaction with a man (did I mention she was a 32 year old virgin?) and tells me to ignore it like he does. MC even said "he married you, he's with you, let her do what she wants. If she directly reaches out again, file a police report" But I'm just like...what the actual fuck? My brain does not work like this. It has taken EVERYTHING out of me to learn to forgive and push through R with WH. I decided to R because I wanted to and knew he was better than all of this. He's in therapy, as stated before, and he's disgusted at what he's done the more he unravels why he did what he did. So again, I'm not regretting my decision. But I cannot get over the fact that AP is THIS disrespectful and desperate. I know, I know. She's an AP for a reason. But this is INSANE. I've been wanting to type this out for awhile now, but today I've had it. I want to say something so bad. I know it's probably not worth it, that's why I've been ignoring it. But the more I hold back, the angrier I get. I'm a confrontational person, so it sure doesn't help.
I guess I'm not really asking for advice, because I know what the answer is. I just needed to get this out and see if there is any other individuals out there who have had similar experiences. I just want her to stop before I actually explode.

My journey began a few years ago when I discovered the New Thought Movement. I wasn't in a good place mentally and emotionally and searched for something that would help me make sense of my life events. I read books by Neville, Zeland, Hicks, Allen, Hill, Byrne, Scovel Shinn, Murphy, Haanel, Tolle, Despenza, Maltz, Doty, and many many others. Yep... I was a little obsessed. But, Neville's work was my favorite. It is his wisdom and insight that helped me start off a string of conscious manifestations that changed my life.
I'll never forget my first conscious manifestation. I decided to test the law and picked something small and random. I wanted a large butterfly to land on my left pinky. I visualized and did SATS for a few days then forgot about it cuz I still thought it was stupid. 4 weeks later, I am at a beach with my friends having a blast and what I am seeing? A butterfly flying in circles around me. It didn't land on my finger but it eventually landed near me. I approached it and extended my arm. Normally that would have spooked a butterfly, but this one just sat there. I asked a friend to take a photo. Then I extended my hand more and the butterfly climbed up my left little finger and sat there for a few seconds. I was in shock but kind of had to hide it because I didn't want my friend to start asking questions. I wasn't ready to explain it.
I remember driving home and thinking WHAT THE #$%^K I now have free time to enjoy my hobbies. I'm finally writing my first novel. I have had a bumpy ride with my SP because of my shaky self-esteem (well, it was shaky pre-Neville but it is much better now). Things have been improving between us. I have perfect health and am in a good mood (note, I used to get depressed here in there in the past, but then did SATS on feeling joyful and am reaping the benefits now). Like that's actually insane, now that I look back at it. I have manifested a bunch of new friends - all amazing, kind, loving, and happy people. All of these things took me 1.5 years of sats and positive self-talk.
I even caught myself thinking: what now? I feel like I have everything I've ever wanted. I saw a few other people here on this sub asking this same question -- what do I do now that I have everything I've ever wanted? Well for me... I feel it's time to just enjoy life. I do lots of arts and creative work, and that makes me super happy. The rest of my free time I dedicate to helping my family, my friends, my community. I actually dream of starting a charitable org here in my city. I feel very grateful and I feel a strong urge to give back.
Why am I sharing this blah blah with you, guys?
I simply want you to believe in yourselves. I want you to know that you are Gods. Some people are uncomfortable with this title, then just think of yourself as being in complete control of everything. That is pretty freaking empowering if you were to ask me. This community has been a major support network for me, and I want to thank you all for being awesome.
Just know that everything is possible. And, I mean everything.

So a few months ago, a celebrity I follow on social media posted some photos of her getting ready for an awards show or something... and about half the comments were people getting offended because they viewed the clothing she was wearing as "promoting anorexia" or "being unhealthy" or any other number of things because it accentuated the fact that she just naturally has a slim figure.
But it was literally just clothing. The only reason people were getting offended is because they were adding context and details that just weren't there.
And it was one of a million times lately I've seen people going out of their way to label something as "problematic" or "offensive." And I have to ask... why?
It's important to be socially conscious and sensitive to others. But if your gut reaction to literally everything you see is to think of a way to make it problematic, you're just going to spend your life miserable and weak, and it's going to be impossible for anyone to live up to your impossibly high standards. You're never going to be able to avoid every possible thing that could offend you. It's just impossible. Nor should you.
And sometimes it's even ok for people to say or do things that could be problematic in retrospect... because everyone has a bad day now and then and says or does things they don't mean. I guarantee everyone who was complaining about the clothing has done something someone else would find offensive.

Tbh, they were in 6-7yrs of relationship and have tons of pics together, and i respect that. But it does make me feel uncomfortable so i shared my feelings with him once. He also agreed that he wont feel good if i have my pics with guys/ exes, he said he understands my pov and will delete photos. We had ldr, he fly here to see me once in every 2-3 weeks. So before he came this time, i asked and he said he alr deleted but its too much so maybe theres also few pics left that he cant control-he said i can check. When he came, we have some conversations and i shared that i wont accept any guy around me if he leaves the door open with ex (they r still friends, im okay with this, and they have mutual friends too) but if he doesn’t nt delete pics or messages together with them is the sign that he is not over his ex-and my ex agreed. And this morning, before he left, i ask if its okay to check if he deleted pics, hes okay, and turns out, he deleted maybe 5% of theirs instead of 80-90. I value transparency or honesty, if he cant do it, he just tells me, maybe we can find way to work out with this, but the fact he said he did, and deleted 90% which is only about 5%, thats a lie while he will not be okay if i keep pics with other guys… so i ask if he wanna delete the pics or i will delete him, and he acted really didnt care, so i bye him in 1 second. Did i react too much ? I ask for my future relationship.

So I made a Hinge, which btw I will say is more chill and appealing compared to other dating apps! Lots of prompts, photos… it feels more creative and less “hook-up” I guess.
Anyway I woke up today and thought 😩 what have I done!??? I don’t want any attention! Lol
(Pls don’t tell me to “just join a club”… of course I’m going to in-person things as well).
I just know there’s a small chance my life could change dramatically thanks to making a Hinge. Well, good luck to me I guess… 😭 lol

Hi all, I use film for photography primarily and am just a hobbyist. I once had a dslr camera, and navigating its menus were my personal hell.
I’d like a camera as close to my Pentax k1000 as possible; and that’s when I found Fujifilm seems to be the camera that most closely has switches and controls instead of being so heavily menued.
Who hasn’t discussed the x100v? It’s been recommended to me. But with what I’ve said, I think I could get away with something not on perpetual back order, and not as flashy (pun intended). Any recommendations are appreciated.
I’ve even looked into old x100s but since I’m used to my ancient film camera, idk how old is “too old” for digital.
Nothing would make me happier than no menus, same controls as my Pentax k1000, but just not needing to load film and having better ability to take photos in lowlight. I really just want simplicity, with the ability to load the photos onto my computer at the end of the day. I don’t even particularly like editing photos.

What simple/ vintage like camera should I get to capture special memories of my wife & daughters?

I hope you’re doing great.
I don’t know how or where to start searching so I figured I’d first ask here.
The idea is that I really want to buy a camera that I’d use only on special/ cute occasions for photographs of my wife and baby girls.
Sure we have our phones and all that, but we use it for too many things. There are too many pictures on it, it gets mixed up along with all other random phone stuff, it’s not practical, it’s not photography focused, etc etc.
I think it’ll be so much better to have a camera dedicated for this. To create memories all in one place. I’d bring it with me everywhere our little family goes and try to capture beautiful moments.
Do you have any recommendations for a camera? Less than, let’s say 500$?
Important is that I love a vintage/ simple look photography. I don’t know how to explain, but the type of photos from the late 90s, early 2000 summer in South of France, Italy type of pictures?
I hope I was able to make some sense from all of this :D
