 | Hello :) I've been doing some searching and seen people ask for coding help here, so thought I'd try. submitted by Smiley_K to neopets [link] [comments] I've been playing around with some of SunnyNeo's premades (in particular, Air Faerie & Easter Basket) but seem to be running into a problem where there's a restrictive sort of footeheader in each layout. I sort of fixed it by adding height: 100%; to the div id tags at the top, and I've tried swapping things around between 2000px and 100% for the background image. However, I've just noticed it's not only the image but also the text that appear to be shrinking when pasted into the pet page. If compared with the previews on SunnyNeo, it all looks larger, so seems to be a different problem if it's also shrinking the text. I haven’t played since I was a kid 20+ years ago when it was still relatively new. I got interested in the game again after seeing a post about it on /hobbydrama and wanted to check out how the site improved over the years.
I’m honestly a little astonished about how poor the experience is on the site right now. I like the new mobile layout, but only a small portion of the website uses this new UI. The old UI, while functional, is ugly and cumbersome. Constantly switching between those two interfaces is jarring and gives the website a low-quality feel. This thread is from 2 years ago complaining about the dual interfaces. Why is it taking multiple years to update the website to the new, mobile-friendly UI?
Many of the games still don’t work after Flash was sunset. Flash was sunset at the end of 2020 and there still seems to be no solution to many games being unplayable (except a few that were converted). Many of the games that do work are buggy/glitchy. Do people not care about the games? I was under the impression that the games were a big draw to the site? Or are the games just not worth the dev time?
I know we have a roadmap, but I’m a little disappointed we aren’t seeing more updates in it that will improve the site. It seems so focused on the spinoffs like Faerie’s Hope and Neopets Island Builders, which could be cool but my understanding is that those games won’t tie into the main website at all. Is the plan to abandon the website and just keep making new games with the Neopets IP until something sticks?
Most importantly, PetPets are way cooler than Neopets. Let me use the petpet as a regular Neopet, thanks.

 | So yesterday I finally go round to redoing my user lookup using Xaia's 'Big Cheese' layout. I really love it as it displays my pets so clearly. However I was wondering if there was a way for all my pets to be displayed in the middle section, where currently there's just a row of six of them? submitted by _lovewins to neopets [link] [comments] This is what I mean by the middle section This is especially important to me as I'm almost out of characters in the html coding so if I add any more pets to my account I may not be able to display them all in the bigger pictures at the top, I may need to leave a few of them out. I don't mind if they display as a scrolling single row or in more rows underneath the first six, but I'd just really like all my pets to be accessible from my page. To give credit where it's due, I adapted a layout from /~Xaia (called Embarks) but then modified it a decent amount to reflect what I wanted my portfolio to show. Allowed me to brush up my rusty HTML/CSS skills and was super fun when it wasn't making me pull my hair out lol :)
I'm sure I'll remember to add things here and there for dreamies, customizations, trades, etc. but I feel good about it for now and ready to take a break from the colour purple.

Hi! I've been gone from Neopets for around a year and found that upon my return, I found I was locked out of my account. I finally regained access to my account this morning from TNT, and noticed two of my pets missing from my account: Yuki and Kyo.
I've already contacted TNT about this issue, but I'm wondering how this is possible since I had 2FA on? I can understand hackers getting past my password, but not 2FA. My email looks unchanged, but the hackers also changed my user lookup to a different layout (I just cleared it).
Has anyone seen this before?
EDIT: I just realized a third pet of mine is missing, Ichi. I thought he was there at first, apparently not. :(

I don't remember a ton of it, and most premade sites seem broken or don't explain well how to use them :C

Do people do work creating gallery designs or profile layout? Not just the art but also the coding? I could see someone getting a few clients… If you’ve dealt with this in the past, how was your experience?

I'm dusting off the HTML/CSS skills to build a 'goal page' for pet customization/account goals (partly to reinforce skills I haven't used in ages and partly because I'm not 100% happy with premades I've found). When going through some premade listings, I noticed some people have isolated parts of official Neo art to use in their layouts and I was hoping to do something similar with the Royal Draik piece for Draik Day 2005 (https://images.neopets.com/games/new_tradingcards/lg_draik_day_2005.gif).
I was wondering if anyone has made a resource page that's just isolated parts of official art for others to use. If not, any recommendations for a quick way to isolate what I want to keep from the background?

I can only find the Daily Neopets layouts, it seems that the neo faerie ones are no longer working. Are there any more working layout codes? I'm trying to find a birthday themed one to celebrate my birthday month :) Thank you for any pointers!

2023.12.31 20:08 TheGoblinLady Old veterans of neopets might not agree with me on this or maybe im not alone? (2013 neopet user here to present day)
i am grateful for some of the new features Neopets has been offering, this year's Advert Calendar has been great, the Faerie Festival, the Daily Quests, not doing NFTS & recently theorizing on what they have in store for possibly a new paintbrush color.
However, i am still frustrated with the functionality of the website and artwork, i have to click on the icon to get to the new layout for the Dailies because it doesn't show anywhere else, it's still the same, i would love for them to do an overhaul of the site faster when i click on things too, i get it'll probably take time but still, more progress of that would be great.
i know a lot are going to disagree but also updating the artwork on the locations, shops, and NPCs at least?, seeing art varying from outdated to new feels VERY inconsistent, i get its nostalgia but still, their really pushing for new ideas and wanting neopets to thrive again after long hiatus and they should really go all out! and bring Neopets into the future.
a location i can think of is Tyrannia and that looks great art and website functionality wise i'd love to see other locations get that similar treatment and the globe of Neotopia. (but again if not all of the artwork at least a consistent website layout and buttons and links)
But im just a person who felt like posting on reddit, were going to have to wait what they will do next year.
also side note said it before and i know its a unique ID for Neopets to have? but i would pay real neocash to change my neopet's names as another idea for a feature.
