2 years ago did my first 50k, hated and loved it at the same time. Couldn't do 1 last year due to work and family stuff so signed up for one this year. End of Jan Tore my hip muscle , 2 months recovery and I was eventually back running early April (8-10k). Mid April looked to up the running and got to 20km with the plan to add 5km to my long run each week. Problem is after the 20km I woke up the next day and my back was ridiculously stiff. 2 physio sessions later and I was back running, did 15km last night and have once again got a stupidly tight back, it doesn't hurt when running and doesn't hurt unless I bend or twist suddenly or if I sit down for anything over 30 minutes. Part of me thinks that my body is not happy that I went from pretty much no running to 15/20km pretty much instantly
The run is 4 weeks away and it's the only 50k I can do this year, I'm wondering if it's worth missing and getting right for next year, I'm already so far behind my training plan that times have gone out the window and its now a case of just get it done.
Anyone had a similar issue or have any advice?

I bought capsule 3 pro 1 yr ago and just after 2 months the left ear was not working. No it wasn't damaged just suddenly it stopped sounding but the button still works . Well, Clefable's votes were unsurprising. The vast majority of voters voted for Gen 6 OU, where Clefable first achieved Peak Clefable - although there were some people noting that it was arguably even more dominant in pre-home Gen 8 OU, where the limited metagame was incredibly kind to it. Clefable has joined Landorus-T in the Forever OU Gang...although, we thought Tyranitar and Garchomp belonged there too, and look how that went.

Moving along, though, we move to Ninetales, the elegant fire fox, which in most cases is a superior browser to Chrome. Aside its design, in most of its early history it was a fairly unremarkable Fire-type special attacker in a universe with many, many, many of those. In Generation 5, however, things began to change for it...

So let's get to it. The metagames in question:

Gen 1 UU: You'd think that Ninetales is solidly outclassed by Moltres in a tier that includes Moltres, with no abilities existing to help Ninetales along, and it seems that for a while, this was considered to be the case. However, the current VR tells a different story, with Moltres having fallen off an absolute cliff to the point where it's now tiered in NU, while Ninetales sits much more comfortably as a lead. The reason? Articuno. In Generation 1, Fire doesn't resist Ice, so Moltres (and Charizard)'s weakness to Ice makes their matchups with Articuno awful - and Moltres is the same speed as Articuno, too, making it even worse. Ninetales is faster than Articuno, threatens it with powerful Fire Blasts that have a solid chance to Burn and cripple physical attackers like Dragonite, and can use Body Slam to fish for paralysis on switch-ins. Dodrio moving up also helps, as it CANNOT switch into Ninetales at all. It's got a solid place in the lead metagame due to its truly bad matchup, Tentacruel, being a way too valuable mon to use as a lead (especially when Kadabra exists) and, even though it still has flaws, it really has enough going for it for the VR to place Ninetales in B- rank.

Gen 2 NU: I don't know why Game Freak decided to look at Ninetales and thought 'this thing needs to be nerfed', bringing its Special Attack down from 100 to 80, but they did, and Ninetales is forever cursing the day this happened, dropping it into GSC NU. However, it's a decent mon there. Its high special bulk lets it take on Xatu, Magmar, and Weezing very well while threatening Weezing especially back with Flamethrower (preferred over Fire Blast due to Ninetales's more defensive role), and access to Sunny Day allows it to gain some power back despite the nerf. It also gets Roar to take advantage of Pineco's Spikes, and its defensive profile with limited coverage gives it solid case as a RestTalker. There's just one problem - one of the best Pokemon in the tier is Water-type Octillery, and Dewgong is a solid threat too. Ninetales can't make any real progress against Octillery, and being so hard countered by one of NU's best mons is tough for it. Still, the VR places Ninetales in B+ rank, a very respectable showing.

Gen 3 UU: And due to the addition of the new great Status-inducing Will-o-Wisp, Ninetales got moved back up to UU in ADV!! Where it's...kind of terrible. Unfortunately for Ninetales, in the most recent tier shift, Arcanine entered the tier. Arcanine completely outclasses Ninetales in almost every way, and has the great ability Intimidate, AND higher Special Attack! There is, quite honestly, literally no reason to use Ninetales in the current Gen 3 UU, unless you REALLY want a Fire-type Will-o-Wisp user. The current VR places Ninetales in C- rank, barely above completely useless. Gen 3 UU will be excluded from the poll.

Gen 4 NU: They decided to throw Ninetales a bit of a bone this generation, giving it access to an actual coverage move in Energy Ball and a powerful setup move in Nasty Plot. What's more, its ability in Flash Fire allows it to switch into expected Fire-type attacks from mons like Charizard and threaten them back with boosted moves - and DPP NU is a tier with a number of strong Fire-types! It can also effectively run Choice Specs, or Hypnosis to nail pokemon on the switch. That said, it's stuck using the mediocre Hidden Power Rock to hit opposing Fire-types, and other Flash Fire mons like Houndoom can exploit it quite well. Bulky Waters that don't take too much from Energy Ball, too, can deal with it, especially Mantine. Overall, it's solid, if not amazing, with the VR placing Ninetales in B rank.

Gen 5 OU: It's time for Ninetales's big moment in the sun (ha ha.). As the only non-legendary in Generation 5 with the ability Drought, Ninetales is absolutely essential on Sun teams. That sounds great, yes, but...First off, Sun's big tools against Rain and Sand used to be its powerful Grass-type Chlorophyll mons, specifically Venusaur. That's banned, now, and while Rain and Sand were able to get along without their Swift Swim and Sand Rush, Sun was absolutely crippled. As Ninetales is useless on non-Sun teams, its ability to work is shaky at best, and its weakness to Stealth Rock makes it even harder to use. Unfortunately for Ninetales, its big moment of the sun was before the weather speed abilities ban, and it's just not good enough anymore. The VR places Ninetales in C rank. As unfortunate as it is, I have to exclude Ninetales's sole OU placement from the VR.

Gen 6 PU: And to add insult to injury, Ninetales no longer has exclusive access to Drought, with Torkoal being considered a better Sun setter in most cases, forcing it to lower tiers. These lower tiers have Drought banned, forcing it to the inferior Flash Fire. Gen 6 saw Ninetales fall all the way down to PU, where it's, as is often the case for Ninetales, okay if nothing flashy. Its Nasty Plot and Fire Blast are as strong as ever, which in the era of power creep and Mega Evolution, lands it in a solid niche in a low, low tier. It's still decent (although earlier on in the gen it was considered the premier fire type of ORAS PU), with its ability to force out some mons, however there are just faster mons in lower tiers now, meaning there is plenty that revenges it, like Floatzel, Ursaring, and Simipour. That said, however, Ninetales can absolutely demolish Quagsire with its interesting coverage option in Energy Ball, allowing it to setup break stall without getting walled by Quagsire - a very powerful niche! While Ninetales might struggle against fast frail Water-types, against slower bulkier mons, Ninetales is very much in its element! The VR currently places Ninetales in B rank.

Gen 7 RU: In a nice turn of events, Ninetales is able to end up in a tier where it doesn't have to compete with Torkoal, but Sun is legal. Nasty Plot and Choice Specs remain solid options with its high power, and having the ability to actually use Solar Beam means that Water-types are no longer a huge issue for it, especially slow bulky ones. The addition of Z-crystals is a major positive for a setup mon like Ninetales, as +2 Inferno Overdrive in Sun will obliterate most things that aren't Snorlax or enemy Flash Fire users. What's more, Virizion and Metagross are two of the best mons in the metagame, and Ninetales loves that - even if Salazzle gives it a bit of pause. While it still has its issues of being a bit frail, and being weak to Stealth Rocks, and letting in certain walls like Goodra and Snorlax pretty easily, it's still a very good mon for aggressive or balanced teams when it can come in. The VR places Ninetales in A rank.

Gen 8 ZU: Unfortunately, Ninetales is dropped from the the Drought-legal tiers again, and forced back into its inferior ability. It still has some solid play here, with its ability as a Nasty Plot sweeper being especially threatening in such a low power tier, but it has competition in fellow Gen 1 fire type Rapidash, whose physical ability and Play Rough access to threaten Dragon-types like Altaria gives it purchase. It's still decent enough, but it's a bit of a matchup fish (in part because people tend to prepare more for Rapidash, sometimes ending up with teams that are weak to Ninetales, as they are very different counterplay despite both being faster Fire Types.). The VR currently places Ninetales in B- rank.

Eivor is a bit of a strange protagonist.
She’s basically flawless and without blame. She’s brash and bold, proud and unashamed — brave and wise far beyond her years, yet able to be soft and compassionate when not brandishing spears. She’s got a knack for leadership, a strong moral compass and an even stronger muscular system with which to enact justice.
And she’s got bars?
As someone not deeply versed in medieval European histories, imagine my shock and confusion upon discovering that Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla included rap battling.
My first experience with Flyting had me asking so many questions about what I just witnessed that I couldn’t wait to begin Googling. I figured flyting probably was historically accurate, but if that’s the case, then what else can it tells us about the medieval warrior and about Eivor’s characterization?
I set off to find out.

Wikipedia and howstuffworks combined gave me a robust definition of flyting.
A ritual, poetic exchange of insults practiced mainly between the 5th and 16th centuries. Examples of flyting are found throughout Scots, Ancient, Medieval and Modern Celtic, Old English, Middle English and Norse literature involving both historical and mythological figures. The exchanges would become extremely provocative, often involving accusations of cowardice or sexual perversion.
The idea behind flyting was to influence public opinion of the participants and raise both of their profiles. And each participant wanted to make himself look better than the other, even if they were friendly.
Not only that, but flyting’s also the first recorded use of shit as an insult. That right there is worth this whole essay and then some.

I came away from those definitions with some small Euphoria, as they reinforce what I already expected from Ubisoft — historically accurate and (arguably) immersive side activities grounded in realism.
Unfortunately, none of the flyting foes that Eivor faces in this fantasy are founded in any real-world flyters. I was particularly frustrated when I realized Fergal the Faceless and Borghild the Alewife’s Bane were fictional features, not real historical fiends of rhythm and rhyme.
Two of Eivor’s syntax competitors are “real” in some sense, however.
In Norse mythos, Odin, Thor, Loki, Freyja and more would handle their Family Matters over a flyte from time to time, dueling wits and words as competition and entertainment.
In fact, one flyte we do see in game — Odin as he flytes over the river with Thor in the Asgard Arc — is likely a reference to a real medieval Norse poem; The Hárbarðsljóð.
In it, Thor jaunts back to Asgard after a journey in Jötunheim. He comes to a junction in which he must jump a large river, and thus hunts down a ferryman to shepherd him across. The ferryman, Hárbarðr, is Odin in disguise. He then begins to diss guys.
Ahem. ‘Guys’ being Thor, obviously.
First, Odin drops a yo-mama joke:

Of thy morning feats art thou proud, but the future thou knowest not wholly; Doleful thine home-coming is: thy mother, me thinks, is dead.

He keeps going, taking more shots than a First Person Shooter, this time saying Thor dresses like a girl:

Three good dwellings methinks, thou hast not; Barefoot thou standest and wearest a beggar’s dress; Not even hose dost thou have.

Thor says watch your mouth before I clap back:

Ill for thee comes thy keenness of tongue, if the water I choose to wade; Louder, I ween, than a wolf thou cryest, if a blow of my hammer thou hast.

Odin replies by saying Thor’s wife is fucking another dude:

Sif has a lover at home, and him shouldst thou meet; More fitting it were on him to put forth thy strength.

The version we play out in game isn’t identical to the real-world poem, but carries some similarities; Thor’s threatening to cross the river to fight Odin as well as his boasting of slaying giants are present in each.
Ratatosk is the only other ‘real’ flyting enemy in Valhalla. While Odin doesn’t flyte with Ratatosk in Norse myth to my knowledge, the flyting against the squirrel is thematically accurate, at least.
Ratatosk’s purpose is to scramble up and down Yggdrasil, scurrying spoken messages from the eagle that sits at its peaks to the snake that slithers at its base. The nature of Ratatosk’s messages is in line with the act of flyting — the mischievous rodent carries falsehoods and aggressive statements to stir up drama and distrust between bird and serpent.
Flyting took place not only in poems and folklore, but in town squares and royal court. It was a facet of medieval life and social interaction. This weaving of prose then, in this time period, seemingly was just about as much of an admired skill as the swinging of a sword. It’s no wonder our unbreakable warrior Eivor is so proficient with word.

I mean, I know it’s me choosing the dialogue options, but sheesh, is there anything she can’t do?
Actually, Eivor’s expertise in flyting is strange to me. It feels random and unearned — out of character, even. It comes more unexpectedly than Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us.
It probably only feels out of character, however, due to our modern understanding of proficiency with words versus proficiency with might. Our current interpretation of verbal ability compared to physical ability would perceive verbal ability as the ‘softer’ of the two skillsets. Physical strength is typically interpreted as tough and more dominant. You don’t expect to see an MMA fighter composing poetry, do you? The qualities that modern thought attributes to writing and physicality don’t mesh.
But in reality — and historically accurately in Valhalla — medieval warriors weren’t just blind berserkers. They were actually artists, poets and writers.
We’ve already demonstrated how Odin and Thor — Norse myth’s most famous warriors — carried out flyting. Thus, medieval Vikings would’ve surely done the same. Beyond Vikings though, the Illiad contains instances of public, ritualized abuse. Taunting songs are present in Inuit culture while Arabic poetry contains a form of flyting called naqa’id. Further, Japanese Samurai were known to be frequent composers of haiku, while Japanese culture also gave birth to Haikai, poetry in which vulgar satire and puns were wielded.
This historical accuracy ends up eliminating the randomness of Eivor’s flyting ability. Despite her verbal finesse feeling unearned, we can surmise historically that Eivor has practiced the wielding of words plenty in her life before we take over as the player. She’s dedicated time to this.
Now that we know why she has it, we can take a closer look at what it does for her.

So, Eivor can rap. She can match you with her axe or she can match you with her words. She’s just about unbeatable.
Her mastery of words demonstrates on some level that she’s not all Push Ups and might is right. She’s not all bruiser and bluster, burn and berserk. She’s an appreciator of the finer things — the more abstract, mental skills that require brain power, deftness and finesse.
This duality of strength and genius rounds out Eivor into a deeper, richer, more admirable character. More than just raw muscle in pursuit of glory, Eivor’s mastery of verse demonstrates her prioritizing not just her body, but her mind.
And it goes a long way for her.
Eivor can use her prowess with prose to progress past pointless plot points throughout Valhalla’s plethora of arcs and missions. It’s just a stat check in the end, but with enough practice flyting and enough charisma gained, Eivor unlocks new dialogue options that bend the world around her to her will.
Witch hunters in Eurvicscire on the brink of terrorizing Moira can be dispersed verbally rather than brawled or killed. There’s an entire riddle-solving fetch quest in Wincestre that can be skipped completely by telling King Aelfred’s abbot fuck off (figuratively). Eivor’s sharpening of her mind protects her body, saves her time, and allows her to frictionlessly fell her endeavors.
Her articulate advances don’t just alter her into admirability, they allow her to influence people and progression. With semantics from her mouth and twists from her tongue, Eivor can have her way whenever she wishes. In a game this large, I’m only left longing that the opportunity to make use of this charisma wasn’t relegated to niches.
Regardless, if medieval England is butter, Eivor’s tongue is the hot knife that behooves her move through her subduing more smoothly.
It all just goes to show that ̶m̶i̶g̶h̶t̶ flyte is right.

Is there a QoL mod where i can see how many colonist is prioritizing on one spesific job? for example if I have alex and anna doing cooking as their no.1 priority. I want to have a window panel that says: "2 people are currently have cooking as their main priority job"

One of the most common principles that I've seen on the exam is:
The PM should always discuss, investigate, analyze before deciding on a solution. In other words, the PM should take a step back and not haste to make a decision.
Let's apply this principle to some PMP exam questions:

Hi all TIA for any and all advice. We are second time home buyers who had to move due to a job relocation. We are looking in a very small town where the demographics are leaning towards empty nesters and individuals aging in place. The homes are in a historic neighborhood and many are looking in disrepair. Our realtor suggested writing letters to homes we have an interest in to see if they would even consider selling in the next year or so. While I trust their expertise in this field, the whole idea just does not sit well with me. I thought I’d ask Reddit for their thoughts?
Should I:

1. Target specific houses?
2. Blast a neighborhood with the same generic letter indicating interest in moving to the neighborhood?
3. Perform some blood ritual to gain some good fortune in this insane market? (For legal purposes this is a joke)

We can probably hang in our rental for one more year and we have a very healthy budget. Would love some expert advice here.

I (33,f) was with my ex bf (33,m) for a year and half. We met on Okcupid, and were very alike in many ways and hit it off right away, 4 months later, we decided to go steady. He came off as someone who was very family oriented, someone who cared about building a legacy, and was marriage minded, and that I was his first girlfriend.
Being together with him felt like a dream, he accepted me as a whole, encouraged me to improve, didn't leave when i went through surgery early on in our relationship, he took me to all his company's annual dinners, brought me to see his parents a month into getting official and I brought him to see mine a little later, he took us out on our first trip when we got intimate for the first time. Things were mostly peaceful and we hardly fought, i took care of him in every way I could, cooked, cleaned, took care of him when he was sick. I have never cared a single bit that he was earning lesser than I was, and I shared the dating expenses. I was nothing but grateful and happy to have found someone like him after all the prior unlucky encounters.
At one point in our relationship, he was having issues at work where his probation was being extended, I comforted him and worked together to pass the extension, i passed his cv to all the headhunters in my contacts and hoping it would help him securing a job opportunity elsewhere, he eventually passed and we celebrated it by taking a trip together.
After the trip, I found out that he's always had dating apps installed on his phone, i was devastated when I first found out and confronted him over it. He cried and begged that it was because he thought i would leave him as he was on the verge of losing his job at the time, he promised that he didn't swipe nor cheat on me, I broke down and promised him that I would always be by his side. He uninstalled the dating app after i found out and promised that we'll work towards our future, so we began our house hunting, and he eventually bought his first apartment for us.
A few months later, i realized my period stopped because of the pills we discussed over it and agreed to stop the pills, and he'd be using condom moving forward. However, he was really undisciplined when it comes to contraception and i eventually got pregnant, i didn't want to abort the child at first and told him we should just get married, he said that he wasn't ready and talked me into having an abortion. I was sad, but I didn't want my child to live a life where the father didn't want him. He promised that we would have our children in the future when the time was right. And so we went with his decision, I was crying the whole night before the visit and cried in front of the doctor. It was beyond devastating for me.
Fast forward to 26th of December, I had a hunch that he was hiding something from me, so I went through his phone, turned out he had been cheating on me since day 1 with girls from dating apps, he had been taking them out on dates, attempting to sleep with them. He used all my favourite pictures that i took of him on dating apps, claimed that he was looking for long-term relationships. It killed me to know that he texted them on my birthday, flirted with them on Valentine's day, cheated on me even when I was helping him with job hunting while he lived a double life that I knew nothing of. I confronted him right away, and he claimed it was because his parents didn't like me, he begged me not to go, he claimed that he hadn't done anything physical with them and swore he will not cheat on me ever again, and we went for our first couple counselling on the same night. Life after that was hell, i couldn't trust him, i was fighting with my own self-respect, i fell into a deep depression. We tried our best at rebuilding the trust, and i acknowledged that he tried his best to reassure me and calmed me down whenever i was having a panic attack.
We decided to take a 3 week break after a month of trying to reconcile, the 3 weeks of no contact were brutal, i didn't know if he was cheating on me but I was so afraid of losing him at the same time. 3 weeks later, he came over to my house with gifts and broke up with me. I begged for him not to go, and that we can mend things. He wished me all the best and promised that i'll find my forever person one day and he then just left.
It's been 3 and a half months since the break up, and it still haunts me, i tried my best in that relationship, i gave in my all, i was a good girlfriend, i listened to him and was supportive. But this is what i'm being rewarded with, a very painful experience.

EXCAVATION will be a short high production quality total conversion single player sci-fi mod set on Mars. The story takes place in the farther future, at a small privately owned complex on Mars set to excavate an object of an extraterrestrial origin. The complex has a staff of 8 scientists: 6 diggers, 1 excavation supervisor and 1 administrator... The object is a device, a multi-biosphere annihilator capable of wiping all life in the Solar System. In the present time, these scientists are trying to activate now excavated annihilator, urgently. There are military robots positioned throughout the complex guarding it against anyone who may try to stop these people.
You play as a Mars SWAT equivalent operative, in a team of 4, responding to a possible hostage situation. Upon landing your craft will be shot down and as the sole survivor you'll meet a dying Black Being, which will give you a small device and tell you what is beneath the complex and why you should destroy it.
In order to speed up the mod's development, we're looking for a second programmer. The coding tasks include coding the HUD, weapons, npcs etc. The protagonist will carry only 3 weapons, the assault rifle that has a sniper mode, shotgun and a teaser pistol. There will be only one enemy combatant type, a humanoid military robot...
Experience with GoldSrc engine is of course great but perhaps it is not necessary. In any case, you would need to learn on your own how to code for this engine. I am trying to analyse the impact of promotions on sales with a particular interest in price elasticities. Most of the products I am focusing on go through a series of promotions during their life cycle and these promotions differ in several ways. I want to assess the effectiveness of these promotions by comparing price elasticities. Currently, I am using product level sales and price data in a log-log model. Each product has a fixed effect and I also use a number of covariates. At the moment, I am estimating a number of models, one for each type of promotion. In these models I am using data just before and during the respective promotion. Is there a way to unify all these models into a single one and still distinguish price elasticities by promotion type?
Apart from that, do you have any recommendation as to what other technique might be appropriate for estimating price elasticities other than the log-log model in my case?

I have built many systems so I absolutely know better than what I did last night. Anyway my AIO was failing. I purchased a new one and it arrived. I have a Core P6 case so it's extremely easy to work on. I swapped out the AIO only, not even the fans for the AIO only the rad and pump head. When I removed the bad AIO I pulled the water block off and the CPU stayed in place. I was in a hurry so I repasted the CPU installed the AIO. Hooked everything back up. Nothing. Dead. No light on Case Power button, no response.
The motherboard was receiving power because the reset cmos button was lit. So I took a deep breath and unhooked everything. Removed AIO . Removed CPU and noticed thermal paste on the pins. I took a long time to clean everything and put everything back together. Still no power led on the case. Heart stopping and upset. I then push power button and nothing, then after about 2-3 seconds it lights up. Everything comes on. Only problem is I'm getting the dreaded 0d debug code which basically on a MSI board means "good luck"
PC will not get past DRam. I removed 1 stick of RAM, put it first slot and bam, post and boot into Windows. Problem is with dual channel it absolutely will not boot. It won't go past DRam light. I removed CPU a few more times and finally the last time I noticed my fans stopped spinning.
No bent pins at all on CPU CPU was monitored while bad AIO was failing and temps never went above 75-76c so I don't think it's the CPU.
I believe what happened was the CPU got paste behind it because it was out a little and bent some pins under the plastic socket. I carefully removed the plastic slide socket and noticed what looks like to me like bent pins on the receiving socket.
Also when I only had 1 stick of RAM in first slot I kept getting a message that RAM was not in optimal slot before booting. It's also possible dust got behind the CPU when installing the AIO.
I'm a dummy. I should have removed the CPU after removing the bad AIO and reset everything.
Also when the PC was initially not powered on I couldn't jump it either.
Obviously I tried resetting CMOS multiple times.

She felt like my comfort cocoon as if my entire world could confine in her. She whispered in my ears about something that had been troubling her since the day we left. She expressed her insecurities and fear of this new world. She wished to return to her world but was reluctant because she didn't want to loose me. I was stunned. I didn't want to let her go after how far we had made it together. That night, I made the decision to set my world on fire.Anything that troubles her will face the consequences is what I thought to myself. The next day, she went missing. I searched every nook and corner but could not find her. My heart began to ache. I was in utter pain. My world was falling apart but the little hope within me sparked. I rushed towards that valley again, crossed the lane again and re entered the palace of witches. I found her yet again. She was asleep. She looked more beautiful than an angel. I approached her and softly woke her from her deep slumber. She hugged me tightly and kept me close for a while. Later, she smiled and said "the world you set fire to was the place I burnt up for you. My life was yours to begin with. You were destined to meet me, feel in love with me and finally burn that world of yours along with me. That's the curse of the palace of witches. That's what your fate has brought you into. Here onwards, you'll have to live in that burnt up world of yours while I find another boy and burn another world".Her words pierced my heart. I stood there without uttering a word. My world had come to a standstill. Tears were rolling down my cheeks and I thought to myself. "I wanted to burn the world but I ended up burning my world instead. The city was on fire but the one burnt was my entire world." Maybe we were not meant to be together in this world. Maybe let's make it in some other where I'm the one who burns and you're the one you gets to live, my love, my world.
