2024.05.14 04:48 superpolytarget (Theory) Possibly, an antithetical group to the Seven Demon Lords could exist

I love studying tandom stuff, and recently i started to study magic (i don't prictice, just find it curious), and i stumbled upon these guys named "The Olympian Spirits".
Despite their name suggesting that, they have no relationship to the Olympian pantheon of gods. They are spirits described in the grimoire of Arbatel. According to it, these spirits inhabit the firmament, the place were the celestial bodies and stars are, and each of them are associated to a planet. Each of them are also the triggering forces to many things we see in our universe, from birth, death, admiration, perseverance, things like that.
They are seven in total, and their names are Och, Phull, Phaleg, Aratron, Ophiel, Hagith and Bethor.
The thing that caught my attention is how their sigils are similar to the Demon Lord's crest, some of them are identical, some have slight changes.
Another thing to notice about them, is the fact that by beign associated with a planet, each of these spirits can represent virtues and vices.
Och for example. Och is the spirit associated with the sun, the astrological body said to represent "Pride" on it's bad vibrarions. Och inhabits the virtue of life, of birth. His sigil is identical to Lucemon's crest. It represents the same celestial body Lucemon does,(many people don't notice, but each demon lord's crest has the astrological symbol of the planet they are associated with, and Lucemon's is the Sun obviously).
Well what im i trying to say is. In association with these similarities their crests have with olympic spirts sigils, and according to their crests themselves, each demon lord represents more than their sins, they represent celestial bodies, which means that each of them have not only their sins to represent, but a virtue as their counterpart, because for each "bad vibrations" represented by the celestial bodies, we have the "good vibrations".
Then what if we were actually meant to see these Seven "Virtues" somewhere? A group born to antagonize the seven lords?
I know other groups already antagonized them in some stories, but im talking about a group that are spiritually, philosophically and existentially opposite to the seven lords.

A Dystopian Story ~ written by me (all rights reserved)

Title: Echoes of the Past
A dark, desolate cityscape under a perpetually overcast sky. The skyline is dominated by towering, dilapidated skyscrapers with broken windows and rusted structures. Streets are empty, littered with debris and remnants of a past society. A lone figure in a tattered coat and gas mask walks down the cracked pavement, passing under flickering neon signs and malfunctioning drones hovering overhead. The air is thick with smog, and distant sounds of mechanical whirring and distant explosions echo through the desolate landscape.
In the heart of the city, once called New Eden, the figure trudged through the ruins. They were known simply as "The Seeker," one of the few who dared to venture out of the underground settlements. The Seeker’s mission was to find remnants of old technology, fragments of the world before The Collapse, to piece together a future for the remnants of humanity.
As they walked, the neon signs above flickered messages of a bygone era: “Utopia Awaits!” and “Live the Dream!”—hollow promises from a world that had crumbled under its own weight. The drones, relics of an automated age, now patrolled the skies aimlessly, their once intelligent programming reduced to malfunctioning routines.
The Seeker paused in front of a massive skyscraper, its facade marred by time and conflict. They pushed open the rusted doors, entering the darkened lobby. The air inside was stale, thick with the dust of years. Their flashlight cut through the gloom, revealing scenes of sudden abandonment: papers strewn across desks, chairs overturned, and the skeletal remains of those who hadn’t made it out.
In the silence, a distant explosion rumbled, shaking loose debris from the ceiling. The Seeker moved quickly, heading for the building’s lower levels, where the valuable relics were often found. Each step echoed through the desolate corridors, a reminder of the loneliness that pervaded this forsaken world.
In a forgotten lab, hidden beneath layers of dust and grime, The Seeker found their prize: an old mainframe, still intact. They began the painstaking process of extracting its data, hoping it held blueprints, knowledge, anything that could help rebuild. Hours passed in silence, broken only by the hum of machinery coming to life.
As they worked, The Seeker couldn’t help but wonder about the world that once was. A world of innovation and dreams, now reduced to echoes and ruins. They imagined the people who had walked these streets, lived their lives, and built this city with hope in their hearts.
With the data safely stored, The Seeker made their way back to the surface. The overcast sky greeted them once more, a constant reminder of the world’s desolation. Yet, in the face of ruin, there was a flicker of hope—a belief that the past’s remnants could forge a new future.
The journey back to the settlement was long and arduous, but The Seeker was driven by the promise of tomorrow. As they descended into the hidden depths where humanity clung to survival, they carried with them the echoes of a lost world and the seeds of a new beginning.
The Seeker, known for their solitary missions, had once been part of a larger group called the Preservationists. These individuals had dedicated their lives to collecting and safeguarding remnants of the old world, believing that knowledge was the key to humanity's resurgence. Each member had their specialty—some focused on medicine, others on technology, and a few on cultural artifacts. The Seeker's expertise lay in retrieving technological blueprints and data archives, often venturing into the most hazardous zones to find them.
Years of scavenging had honed The Seeker’s skills. They knew how to navigate the treacherous ruins, avoiding crumbling structures and hidden traps set by other scavengers. Their gas mask was a relic itself, a custom-made piece that filtered out the toxic air and allowed them to breathe in the most contaminated areas. Their coat, though tattered, was lined with pockets and pouches, each containing tools essential for their survival and mission.
As The Seeker walked, they passed landmarks of the old world—the grand library, now a hollow shell of its former self, and the central plaza, once a bustling hub of activity, now eerily silent. Each location held memories, stories, and lessons from a time when humanity thrived. The Seeker often felt a pang of sorrow for the lost potential, the dreams that never came to fruition. But they also felt a sense of duty, a drive to ensure that such dreams could be reborn.
Inside the skyscraper, The Seeker's flashlight illuminated murals and posters, faded but still visible. They depicted scenes of progress and prosperity—visions of flying cars, towering green cities, and interstellar travel. These were the promises of a society that believed it could conquer any challenge, overcome any obstacle. The reality, however, had been far less optimistic. The Collapse had come swiftly, a result of unchecked ambition, environmental neglect, and technological overreach.
In the forgotten lab, The Seeker found more than just the mainframe. There were old journals, handwritten notes, and sketches. These personal items provided a glimpse into the lives of the scientists and engineers who had once worked there. They spoke of late nights, groundbreaking discoveries, and a shared vision for a better future. The extraction process was delicate, requiring precision and patience. The mainframe’s data was encrypted, a safeguard against theft in the chaotic final days of the old world. With the data secured, The Seeker made their way back to the settlement, navigating through the darkened streets with practiced ease. The settlement, hidden deep underground, was a stark contrast to the world above. It was a place of warmth and light, where survivors worked together to carve out a new existence. The air was filtered, the water purified, and the crops grown using hydroponic systems. It was a fragile oasis in a desolate world, but it was also a testament to human ingenuity and resilience.
As The Seeker entered the settlement, they were greeted by familiar faces. There was Dr. Elara, the lead scientist, who had been eagerly awaiting the data. Her eyes lit up with hope as The Seeker handed her the storage device. "This could change everything," she said, her voice filled with excitement.
In the common area, children played, their laughter a rare and precious sound. They represented the future, the reason why The Seeker and the others continued their dangerous missions. The Seeker watched them for a moment, a smile forming beneath the gas mask.
Later, as the settlement’s council reviewed the newly acquired data, The Seeker reflected on their journey. The world above was a harsh and unforgiving place, but within the ruins lay the seeds of rebirth. The knowledge and technology of the past, coupled with the determination and spirit of the present, could pave the way for a new dawn.
And so, in the darkness, there was light. In the echoes of the past, there was hope for the future. The Seeker knew that the road ahead would be long and challenging, but they also knew that humanity was capable of rising from the ashes. The city, once called New Eden, might one day thrive again—not as a utopia, but as a symbol of perseverance and the enduring strength of the human spirit.

You can disagree if you’d like (as I’m sure most of here will) but the absolute best way for Boruto to end is to leave Boruto with nothing, with Omnipotence lasting forever and nobody (not even his parents) ever recognizing or feeling sympathy for him. This would give the most meaning and purpose to Boruto’s character and his story. Boruto has the opportunity to be a 1 of a kind character, the main character who truly went down the dark path and ended up in solitude but with extreme powers.
The cape he wears resembles this. The cape that Sasuke wears at the beginning was always meant for Boruto. It was already all planned out. That cape is Boruto’s cape and he’s finally wearing it now as he should. That cape symbolizes Boruto’s solitude and darkness as well as his abilities and power.
If you want Boruto to truly be a unique, legendary, and powerful character, you would want the tragic and dark ending. You would want the Ominpotence to be permanent. You would want nobody to ever recognize Boruto ever again for who he once was before. See him, not as the cheerful and happy smiling boy when young, but as the dark, mysterious, and powerful warrior that stands in solitude that takes care of business and handles problems in the shadow. Very similar to how Sasuke is. He would support Sarada as the Hokage secretly without ever hanging around the village again.
The happy ending where he reverses Omnipotence and gets back with his parents and friends is what most fans (and people here) want because indeed most Boruto fans have low to average intellectual comprehension of the beauty and purpose of Boruto as a character, and why he was even created in the first place. Most fans are fake and just watch/read Boruto ONLY for the sake of their sentiments for NARUTO, not for Boruto himself. There are not many TRUE fans of Boruto, such as myself, who actually loves and sees the beauty of the matured Boruto and wants him to develop a character and legend of his own, separate from and independent of Naruto.
Very few people understand or truly appreciate the beauty of the darkness and solitude associated with Boruto’s timeskip character. The REAL Kishimoto would understand this and develop Boruto not into a cheap copy of Naruto that has his “happy ending” story, but into the strongest and most powerful and versatile Shinobi in existence shrouded in darkness, mystery, and solitude.
A tragic ending in solitude would give the most meaning and purpose to all the hardships and changes that Boruto went through those 2 years he left the village. True fans who love Boruto, not for Naruto, but for Boruto himself, would agree.

Ok I’m getting lots of backlash as I expected because of this controversial take. I apologize for the use of the term “fake fans”. I didn’t mean it in a negative connotation and I should’ve picked my words more carefully. But what I truly meant by that term is that most people watch Boruto for the sake of Naruto, which I can understand because Boruto came from Naruto.
However, what I’m suggesting is that Boruto can be his own highly-regarded and respected character, independent from Naruto. He can be the character where when you mention him, everybody’s mind doesn’t just jump immediately to Naruto, but stays fixed on Boruto and know that he is his own amazing and powerful person, without just mentioning or jumping straight to his father.
I’m not saying Boruto deserves any of the bad things or tragedies that’s happening to him. Of course I don’t wish bad things on him, nobody should. All I’m saying is his character development (him fundamentally as a person) deserves and depends on it.
Because Boruto is a personification of the fact that in the Real World, bad things and tragedies with bad endings do happen. Nobody deserves bad endings or bad things happening to them, but the reality is that bad things can and will happen to you. His life is absolutely dark and I wouldn’t wish his path on my worst enemy.
And sometimes, those bad things can fundamentally change you as a person. And most of the time, bad things and tragedies do not end well and do not resolve themselves happily at the end. Many people have to learn to live with those tragedies forever until the day they die. They carry it with them for the rest of their lives.
I know this because personally this has happened to me as well, where bad things occurred and changed me fundamentally for who I am. Without going into specific details, those bad things and tragedies completely changed my personality, my view of the world, and my personality, and made me stop smiling/being cheerful all the time, etc. And those bad things and tragedies are permanent and will never resolve themselves. The only thing I can do is to accept them and learn to live with them. However, those bad things made me stronger and more respected as a person. It gave me willpower to persevere and overcome many challenges. I wouldn’t be where I am today or be as strong as I am today without those bad things happening, even when I didn’t want them to in the first place. I went through an extremely dark phase in my life, but it ended up making me mentally, emotionally, and physically stronger.
This is what I see reflected in Boruto when I see him come back to the village after running away. And this is what I see for him in his future as well. He must learn to live with all these things forever and accept that he will never get his family/parents/friends back and it will be like this for the rest of his life. It will suck but at the same time will make him mentally and physically stronger, and will give him the power to achieve many great things and ultimately highly-respected in the end.

The lore of the blue door and the Clancy letters made me think about Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount:
Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
This “door” is also depicted in the lyrics in the song Drown. Tyler is struggling because he may be knocking at the door but it isn’t opening and he’s in pain from all the times he hit the wall.
“You see a man free who thinks he has to buy a key To a door but he can't 'cause he's poor and he can't Fall down anymore 'cause he's already on the floor And his heart is broken and all and this is his call But it's more of a cry 'cause he will try nine times To realize nine crimes but he has more than nine lives So he picks himself up and keeps climbing for the prize again.”
Drown talks about needing these “keys” in order to open the door, but in reality, he is already free. He just has to ask God to open the door for him. It may not be right away, but he continues to pray and persevere despite the mental pain he’s in.

I’ve seen a lot of reactions regarding the mv being dark and what not, so I wanted to share a differing perspective, and see if ppl had other similar views.
I think the MV is an allegory of women empowerment and liberation in a world that constantly brings people down. It could be loosely inspired by the poetry book “Girls That Never Die” by Safia Elhillo.
In the MV, one could feel a general sense of rebirth as illustrated by the crow coming back to life. For instance, the crows (which can be considered a symbol of freedom, transformation and new beginnings) go from corpses to flying. The directors make a direct comparison between women and the crows as evidenced by the 2 Soyeons wearing the wings and then being liberated together as they take a “leap into the world”, and experiencing liberation.
Despite the dark visual undertones, this mv has a surprisingly positive and uplifting message for women to endure the things that the world throws at them, and to persevere (together maybe). I find this theme generally consistent throughout tripleS’ discography (i.e. Girls Capitalism, Invincible). In my personal opinion, if my interpretation of the mv is correct, not many idols in the industry are as vocal about women empowerment as tripleS thru their music, which makes them pretty cool in a country where the term “Feminism” has a negative connotation.
