I’m souring on Tesla. In Dec I traded in my 2018 MX and purchased a 2023 MY to take advantage of the promotion to transfer my free unlimited charging to the new MY. I agreed to pay full price in order to qualify for the transfer. When scheduling the delivery, I could not make any of the dates in the Tesla app because of jury duty. I texted Tesla with alternate dates but there was no response. The system cancelled my order. I texted back for them to reinstate the order and finally someone did. When picking up the new MY I asked when the free unlimited super charging would be transferred and the sales person said in a few days if I did everything correct. It did not transfer over and I went back about 5 times over the next four months to I ask when it would be transferred over. Each time they said it would and a supervisor would contact me but no one ever did. A few weeks ago I went to Tesla with two friends to take a test drive. One friend bought a MY that was in inventory on the spot and the other placed an order for a MY. I finally got to talk to a sales supervisor and he said there was a discount applied to my order and that took the transfer of unlimited supercharging out. It’s my fault I didn’t read the final paperwork but that is sketchy for a company to do. I went home and checked my account and it showed the document was amended on delivery day. I accused them of a bait and switch scam and they offered to give me $500 in merch credit. I went home and thought about it and filed a complaint with the BBB. Now they contacted me to offer $500 more in service credits. What would you do? Would you settle for the $1000 in credits?

I picked up wow about 5 months ago and had a blast playing with a guild and progressing. I was hopping on disc and making jokes with who I thought were online friends. I made the decision to stop playing and hardly anyone reached out to stay in contact. He is an elder lives on limited income. He knows I got a good sized inheritance but can’t seem to understand or doesn’t want to understand - it’s not free flowing cash, I have to pay taxes if I withdrawal.l and a penalty one some accounts. Yes, I have my own Salary which I live one comfortably. But since he was my parents good friend he keeps asking. I have explained many times, I haven’t and don’t plan on touching my inheritance funds until I retire or a state of emergency, avoiding any penalties at all costs. So I realize spending money on cars is never a wise decision but as someone who enjoys my drive everyday, I wanted to get a sanity check on a purchase I’m considering.
Car is $50K out the door ($30K after I roll in $20K of value from my current car which is paid off). I plan on putting another $15K down and financing the remaining $15K.
Wife (32F) and I (33M) own a house with about $200K of equity and have about $400K saved in our retirement accounts. We make about $270K a year and both max out our 401(k)s and I also do the max into a “back door” Roth each year. We also have a HYSA with 6 months of expenses saved.
After all our bills are paid, we have about $2,500 per month to spend on whatever (this already accounts for groceries, general household goods, etc). With a lot of the income going to the mortgage and 2 kids in daycare. We also save for our kids college (529 accounts).
I wanted to get a sense of how bad an idea it would be to buy this car and finance the $15K for like 5 years with a low-ish payment (probably somewhere around $300 a month). I have a habit of never buying anything because I always think of how much more wealth that money could accumulate for us if I saved/invested it but feel like I want to try and “live a little” now vs only thinking about when I retire.
How bad of an idea is this? Are we doing enough in our current state that I could buy this car relatively guilt free? Would love to hear opinions.

Hi all,
I'm a pretty extensive Amazon user here in Japan, and I often get these little chits with my products that say something like 'give us a 5 star review and we'll give you a 1,000 yen gift certificate' or something like that. I think anyone who has used Amazon enough will have gotten these (usually from Chinese distributors). I usually just chuck these and don't give them a second thought, but now I'm thinking hey, this is basically free money. Still, I hate the idea even more of leaving fake reviews (that must be 5 stars) for incentives.
Here's a pic I took of one including its Google translation to English.
At first these people really pissed me off and I wanted to report them immediately. Then I thought hmm... what if I give them the 5 star review, then email them my screenshot, receive my gift certificate and use it, and then edit my review to be my real rating and also post about their little scam. I mean, in that way, I could punish them even more by taking money away and getting them reprimanded.
Then I looked into this because I thought surely I'm not the first person to think of this. Then I found other threads like this one and this one and I'm sure there are dozens of others on reddit. Basically, the gist that I got was that it's against the Amazon terms of service to be compensated for a review, so doing the strategy of '5 star > get gift certificate > 1 star edit' could get your account banned (and has for other redditors). So anyway, that seemed out of the question for me. Then I read several cynical views of people pointing out (correctly so), that Amazon generally benefits from having sellers and highly rated products so people buy more, and often they screw over the customer rather than the distributor. And also things like distributors can easily get negative reviews taken down, or even posting about the gift certificates could get your reprimanded as it's not part of the 'actual product' kind of thing.
All of this has just made me fairly pessimistic about the whole thing - not even cashing in and editing reviews from 5 star reviews, but just taking any action against the sellers altogether.
Has anyone thought about this kind of thing or taken action? Has anyone reported sellers before, or had negative reviews taken down from Amazon or the seller or something? Do some people just cash in and just shut up about it?
I don't know, I'd rather do the 'right thing' than just get a few thousand yen. Whole situation just kind of disappoints me.

Lane Lambert was in control of the forwards and penalty kill on the islanders, he helped that team with their great two-way play and good penalty kill, so hopefully he can do the same here.)

2. What you want IS the state. You only want the thing because of the state you believe it will put you in. Enter the state first and the corresponding conditions will arrange themselves.
   
3. More often than not, being specific is placing a limitation. Stop reducing the avenues which life can use to thrive through you.
   
4. All techniques, scenes, etc. are nothing more than a means to an end, the end being the state of feeling your wish fulfilled. As such, have fun with the details because they only represent a state. Whatever gets you into the state is useful. Whatever does not usher you into the state is useless.
   
5. If what you're doing isn't working, fuck all the "theories" about this Law and experiment. My clients will readily tell you that my approach is often unorthodox. Idc, it works. I've found my own groove, and there is no authority over a law other than its own efficacy.

Work with where you are. Don't let these hoes tell you to just affirm ad nauseum because you're likely just reinforcing a negative perception by doing so.
   
8. I'm a coach. I have a bias here which I'll readily admit. But it can help to have accountability on this journey. If you don't want to pay for it, that's perfectly alright, find a friend or someone else into this Law who can work with you. Many people on these manifesting subs have accountability partners. Whether free or paid, get one.
   
9. Practice grace and mercy towards yourself on this journey. If you aren't being Christ to yourself, you're shooting yourself in the foot.
   
10. As Neville said, use your imagination lovingly. Don't do it because of fear of retribution, do it because you understand that it's always in your best interest to do so because of how the law operates mechanically.
    
11. Get proper sleep. Get adequate sunlight. Throw some veggies into your diet. Avoid triggers that cause you to ruminate. Value yourself more regardless of this Law, because you deserve it. ✌️

How do I become upper class?
CONTEXT: My family grew up middle class in an upper middle class neighborhood. I remember feeling ashamed because my friends would vacation to Europe every summer or other exotic destinations while I spent my summers working, and my only "vacation" was to go to the local public pool.
I've been out of college for a year now and have been able to take some short vacations within the US, which has been nice. However I still work in retail making a very low salary and my parents have given me a deadline to move out soon. I'm well aware that what I make is NOT a liveable salary, at least in the part of the country where I live.
I've been applying to jobs for almost two years and have gotten the occasional interview or phone screen but have not landed a single offer. I majored in a liberal arts degree but changed my mind on my ideal career path at a point where I was already stuck in my degree. I'd love to work in business but have already been rejected from all the firms in my area, not just the top ones (all without even getting an interview). I've been applying to jobs daily but I know I need a way to earn more money if I need to start supporting myself soon. I've even signed up for a side gig just to supplement my current job but am still waiting to get approved.
I've thought about becoming a gold digger (I am female) or starting an OnlyFans, although I can't quite overcome my conscience to do the latter, and I am too fat to be the former (I have PCOS and have struggled with my weight my whole life). I am currently learning to watch my diet and calories and working on losing weight, but I am currently well over my ideal weight and am only losing weight at a very slow rate which means it will be several years before I am down to a healthy weight.
Now for the good news.
For one, because I grew up surrounded by the upper middle class, I am familiar to some extent of the aesthetic of that class (although it is very different from my own personal style). I don't know some of the really boujee etiquette things like the different types of forks and what not (tbh being so concerned that someone's using a salad fork to eat steak or whatever is stupid. A fork is a fork.)
Because I went to an affordable public college, I graduated debt free, which is huge. I also graduated with a very good GPA and scored fairly highly on both undergraduate and graduate school standardized exams.
I also have a few different credit cards that I use responsibly and don't spend beyond my means (for the most part). I always pay my cards off in full every month and have a FICO credit score of about 770.
I try to diversify my portfolio, and of my savings I've accumulated so far, just under 10% is in a mutual fund, about 25% is in my 401k with company match, and the rest is in a high yield traditional savings account. With every paycheck, I contribute 10% to my 401k and an additional 10-25% into my savings account (I aim for 25% since I still live at home and have fewer expenses right now, but some months it's less).
It's hard because I've tried looking online for advice as far as how to become wealthy and I feel like I'm doing everything right - I went to college, I got good grades, I save a lot, I have no debt, I don't spend beyond my means, I've even tried going above and beyond to show my dedication in my job search by cold emailing recruiters at companies I'd be interested in (especially those who were alumni of my school), writing personalized cover letters, etc. and yet here I am stuck in my barely-above-minimum-wage soul-sucking retail job with a clock ticking over my head that I don't have much time to somehow find something that provides a liveable wage / move up in class so I can move out of my parents house. In addition, I don't really have the money to immerse myself into affluent circles by joining expensive country clubs, etc. (and even if I did, I feel like I would be judged and dismissed because I'm a fat woman), so that severely limits any opportunities to network or rub shoulders with the rich.
I know this is a very long post so thank you if you made it all the way to the end. I would really appreciate any sincere advice on how to move up in socioeconomic status, find a better paying job, etc. thank you ♥️

19,780 Teaching Assistants, Student Researchers, Tutors, Readers, Postdocs, Specialists, Researchers, Project Scientists, and Coordinators of Public Programs, have voted on whether to authorize our union’s Executive Board to call a strike, if circumstances justify, in response to UC’s unprecedented acts of intimidation and retaliation directed at our rights as academic employees to free speech, protest, and collective action.
The vote has passed in all units.
79% of participating members overall voted yes.

Over the past weeks, UC has allowed violence and intimidation against our academic community who exercised their right to protest. This vote shows that UAW 4811 members will not tolerate UC’s unlawful and shameful actions.
UC’s unfair labor practices include:

• Actively risking the health and safety of UAW 4811 members and members of the university community by allowing violent attacks by agitators and police on peaceful protesters who bravely chose to speak up as employee members of the University’s Academic community and by creating an unsafe work environment.
• Making unilateral changes to working conditions that have impacted our teaching, our work obligations, our safety and our academic freedom;
• Summoning the police to forcibly eject and arrest UAW 4811 members in retaliation for engaging in peaceful protest activity demanding workplace-related changes; causing a chilling effect on future concerted actions by our union and its members, and more.

UC administration must be held accountable for the serious unfair labor practices that impact our union and our members in this instance and in the future.
Our union has filed additional ULP charges against UC for labeling the potential strike as “unlawful.” The Public Employer-Employee Relations board has sole authority to determine the legality of a strike, and UC’s assertion contradicts decades of settled law. The Supreme Court and subsequent California case law has found that even when a contract has a no strikes clause, it does not waive workers’ rights to strike over serious unfair labor practices of the sort UC has committed, and participation in such a strike is protected activity. UC’s attempts to label the strike as unprotected is an intimidation tactic.
On Friday morning the Executive Board will evaluate whether circumstances justify calling the first campus or campuses to Stand Up and go on strike, and will communicate that with the membership.

Life is sin. Sin is survival for humans. The notion of Jesus’ existence suggests that he was fully God fully human(*edit) It is also believed that he was free of sin and original sin. The big gimmick is that there is no “point of life” or “larger purpose”. We as humans are on earth, simply to be ourselves in the human form. That is the ultimate gift amongst all of the suffering we must endure. Instead of trying to be a good person for the sake of God’s grace, I believe an individual should actively try to do the right thing (as much as any given situation allows) and treat people how they ought to be treated, simply because they feel love and want to share it.
In my opinion, Jesus serves as the perfect example, of what we should strive to be, but also acknowledge that we are not perfect, and we are going to sin. The test, I believe, is that after you sin due to your human bounds, your “god-like” part of the conscious will undergo a process of guilt, shame, forgiveness, acceptance, and renewal. To me, that is the closest a person can get to living the way that Jesus is said to have lived.
Life is suffering. It is simply a separation of: those who are aware of their suffering and actively trying to learn from it (therapy or self reflection) and those who suffer, but choose not to learn from it (too comfortable in one’s own ego/perception of thyself). However, I understand that in order to “make it” in this world, you must develop some sort of deluded sense of self, so that you can survive in public environments (the mask).
I believe that all of the people who die and will die having not become truly aware of their own sin and suffering, will simply continue the rebirth cycle until they truly understand and are able to transcend above the inherently human way of thinking, which is sinful thinking. I believe that once a person is comprehensive of the entire truth of our identities and actively chooses to live accordingly, they are finally capable of transcendence into “heaven” or as I like to believe, a Xanadu of some sorts…a plane of existence that embodies absolute freedom: a land free of judgement, a land free of pain, a land free of authority, a land free of misunderstanding, a land free of temptation, of currency. A land where all are one and one is all. This is why it is essential for the individual self to learn the ultimate truth of the self in accordance with everything and everyone.
The prevalent Christian (and/or catholic) belief is that in order to get in to heaven and not go to hell (in my beliefs, “hell” is just the rebirth cycle back to earth until you learn your lessons), one must live in constant fear of God’s final judgment, to which you must “be a good person”. Worshipping God and Jesus is also a common practice among Christians (and catholics).
I believe that God sent Jesus to earth, specifically to tell us, not to worship him, anyone, or anything.
If Jesus was truly free of sin, then there is no doubt he would be outcasted and eventually killed for simply being who he is. If Jesus lived today, he wouldn’t care about clothes, or a social media account (unless it was to benefit the greater good in some way). He would simply be. I reckon that Jesus would really like Bladee’s newer albums, (especially the fool, cold visions, 333) and the message that they send.
We are nothing—but as humans, we have the capability to be everything. What I mean by that is that when we are born, we are born to inherently “sin”, for survival in this modern world. I believe that God is the part of our conscious that tells you whether you are doing something right or wrong. As humans, we have a choice of whether or not to listen to that voice. Most people tend to be selective about when they choose to listen to that voice. (in a way, because we have to sometimes.) But due to this choice (free will), we can also decide to be: there for our close friends and family, be: welcoming of strangers and/or initially misunderstood people. Simply put, whatever an individual feels they deserve or need from other people, is exactly what you need to be for other people. By becoming this person for other individuals, you essentially become that person for yourself. WHICH MEANS...you are the only person that can love yourself the way you want to be loved, and developing this love for the self, could be relative to a person having "God's grace."
But I also reckon that Jesus would probably have an effortlessly cool style, or to be fair, he would most likely be homeless. That wouldn’t make sense though, would it? Because in this modern-day dystopian society, a homeless person wouldn’t be the right person to be tasked with inspiring the world to save themselves from a never-ending rebirth cycle. If I was God, I would send myself(being god)/Jesus down for his “second coming”, in the form of a person who goes through life experiencing exactly what they need to experience in order to understand the truth of everything and essentially live as Jesus like as possible, with the random probability of whatever situation Jesus’ new form will be born into. What I mean is that the second coming of Jesus could literally be born into any situation but in order for “God’s ultimate mission” to be fulfilled, I feel that this “Jesus-like” savior must be a symbolic, but physical mirror to the insecurities of all people who bear witness. In order for the mission to be fulfilled, we as humans must learn to accept and love this person for whoever they might be, regardless of the many ways in which they shall be outcasted from this artificial and ignorantly upheld society that we live in today. This message essentially means that we should always try our best to listen to and see the people in society who are outcasted for being their true selves and only ever perceived on the surface level.
One could argue that all of this is baloney due to the sole fact that psychopathic serial killers exist, so therefore not everybody is under the grace of God. My response to that is that that’s just unlucky science that certain people are born without the ability to feel love and empathy.
BTW. I am very stoned while writing this and it is in my nature to contradict my own ideas, so hopefully that doesn’t confuse people. Idek if there is any contradictions, I don’t even know what I am saying to be honest, I just felt like I really needed to write all of this. If anybody does get what im saying and has thoughts to share I would love to hear other people’s thoughts on these subjects. I moved to Texas in August of last with who I thought was a good friend of mine that I met in Colorado 3 years ago. At the time of moving, we got laid off of our jobs in Colorado so we thought that would be the best time to do so than ever. We did. We both were able to get retail store management jobs here, a house to rent, no problem. However, she owns a condo in Colorado and thought it would be a good idea to rent the rooms to her previous work colleagues to cover her mortgage while she's renting here in Texas.
About a month into moving here, we both found a significant other for ourselves and generally stay at their houses more than our own. Big deal.. whatever. We're adults. Fast forward to March, she starts telling me she has to move to part time at her job only working 2 days a week. Me being the supportive friend, I tell her to look for another job ASAP. So, she does.. at Colonial Life.. a 100% commission based job that doesn't even pay you for training or the work you do at their office prior to being licensed to sell life insurance. That leads to her saying "I can't handle 2 jobs so I have to quit." She quits the job that was paying her even though it was only 2 days a week.
April 1st comes along, she tells me she's officially gone into debt. The work colleagues who were supposedly her friends decided to quit their jobs.. become couch potato's and not pay her rent. Here's the kicker. She has no actual lease in place to enforce anything therefore they can just live there rent free. She obviously has to pay the mortgage there for what they didn't pay PLUS the rent here, so she somehow managed to do so.
April 25th comes and she tells me she can't afford to live here and needs to go back to Colorado; continuously asking me to find someone to replace her on our lease. Say less! May 1st arrives.. she tells me she is going to be late for rent by 8 days. I told her to take it up with our landlord... so she does, by lying and saying WE both got laid off and had to find new jobs. BRUH..... I am on workers comp, not laid off. I still manage to pay my rent with how low my workers comp benefits are and juggling personal bills. Then when he tells her there's a $100 late fee, she supposedly gets a loan and pays the rent.
May is here and now I'm putting all gas no brakes on finding someone to replace her because I have a lot of stress in my life due to the work indigent I encountered.. I don't need anymore stress. She wasn't able to pay $25 of the WiFi bill so she told me to cancel it but instead I paid it and changed the password. When she found out, she flipped shit and told me how fucked up it was because she can't work online now... for Colonial Life who doesn't pay her for the work she's doing. Lol
A few days ago, I asked her if she's going to have money for her half of electric or rent. She told me no, her account is negative but is hoping she "closes a $20K deal at work" in a week. Nope.. I'm not being strung along until the last day of the month for you tell me you can't pay your half of rent. She then proceeds to ask if I found someone to replace her and I told her I'm working on it. I then asked her if I do find someone, is she able to sign herself off of it if our landlord agrees.. she says "Yes, I told you that already." SAY LESS!
Today, I finally got confirmation of someone to replace her so I called my landlord, explained everything without the extra drama and he said he can make it work but wants to meet in person so we can all agree on it to make sure it's not just me telling her to leave. When I told her this, she FLIPS OUT because I didn't consult her about it before I brought it up to the landlord, tells me I'm kicking her out, that I'm fucked up because now she has to throw her stuff away, take her cat to the shelter and live in her car. I told her to stop worrying about finding money to pay rent and take the money and go back to Colorado... but Colonial Life has her so fucking brainwashed that her reply was "No because I'm about to make thousands."
Now she's giving me a hard time about signing herself off the lease even though she asked 4 times to help her by finding someone to replace her and when I do, it's my fault. Our lease is up October 31st.. my landlord was barely okay with agreeing to replace her because there's about 5 months left but would rather do so than us not paying full months rent.
Fuck off. Worry about sorting out your crippling debt and vape addiction rather than trying to make me suffer financially because you are.

About a year ago I started taking debt seriously. With 8k car loan, 15k LOC , 9.5k credit card, 4.5k in taxes I was drowning. I took on a second job and 2 side hustles.
