Emily procter horrible plastic surgery

I would really appreciate your stories pelase. I really want the surgery and the plastic surgery I spoke to mentioned it was really rare to get keloids or other deep scarring from the non-incisional double eyelid surgery but I am really cautious because I am super sensitive to scarring. I.e I get keloid or hypertrophic scars on one of my ears from piercings. I also get hypertrophic scars from a fingernail/catch scratches.

I have scars from 2 and a half years ago, and I really want them removed. I would be okay with tattoo coverup as a last resort, but if there’s anyway I could have the covered by cosmetic surgery that would be great. Anyone know if these type of scars are able to be covered up with plastic surgery? Thanks!

i had my consultation back in april and my surgeon told me i should be approved!! i have my date set for October 16th!
it’s also my first surgery… and im chronically anxious so it’s kinda far and i’m feeling antsy to get it over with
im a little nervous because he said it wouldn’t matter that i didn’t check off all of the requirements from my insurance (aetna) checklist,, but the scheduler said he would talk to my insurance peer-to-peer if they initially deny me..
he also doesn’t specialize in breast-related plastic surgery. he mostly works on hands, and other microsurgeries… should i be worried? he doesn’t have any references of his previous work and i haven’t read many testimonies from previous patients, his reviews are hard to find :/

Hey all, i’m new to plastic surgery and am getting chin liposuction on june 6th. what other surgeries do you guys think would help improve my jawline? i’m looking for a more snatched look (i’ve been insecure about my jawline for years) and am so lost in the world of surgeries. my surgeon recommended a chin implant, but im kinda nervous about putting something so permanent in, but want to see the best results. are there any better surgeries, perhaps in conjunction with the chin liposuction, that’ll give me that snatched look??

I had upper and lower eyelid surgery and a forehead reduction over 3 weeks ago. No complications, smooth healing process, all wounds closed. Only waiting for the scars to fully heal to become un-noticable which should happen within the next couple months. (Barely noticable now, only some redness and raised skin in some areas!)
My plastic surgeon said I should be fine to start back up on Accutane 2 weeks post-op. I'm passed that already, but just wanted to ask if anyone else here started Accutane just a few weeks after surgery? Anxious to get back on it, as I noticed results almost IMMEDIATELY after starting with my first month!

I saw an ENT this week and he confirmed what I figured out from Google that everything that has been me feeling horrible since Sept is LPR. A few weeks ago my GI changed me from Omeprazole to Protonix. The ENT said to change from the morning and take it before dinner so it’s working fully at bedtime. He said I’ll probably need sinus surgery down the line but not dangerous right now. That was the only recommendation so far - change the timing. Has that worked for anyone?

This is not the life I wanted for myself. I’m going to be 32 this year and I feel like it’s just too late for me. I wasted my youth and all of my best years. I got too comfortable and never pushed myself harder for everything I wanted.
I wanted so much more for myself and I feel like I’m just stuck now. I work a boring 9-5 and I’m so unfulfilled. I don’t feel motivated at all and I’m burnt out. I’ve already switched my career path once and there’s no point switching it again.
I’ve been single for 4 years and I want someone to love but it’s not going to happen at this point. I’m so insecure and I hate looking at myself in the mirror. I keep trying to fix myself with injections, laser, and even have gone to consultations for plastic surgery and I feel like I’m still so plain and ugly and overweight. I tried dieting and exercise and I was so good about it but nothing helped.
I wanted to travel and move to another country or city and instead here I am, back in my hometown. I’m never going to afford a house either I’m just going to rent forever.
I guess this all sounds so pessimistic but I’m so tired and drained. I’ve tried talking about this to family and friends and even have tried therapy and I still feel the same. Like I wasted this life and I wish I could do so many things differently. I’m not even sure why I’m saying all this I guess it’s so just to vent. Maybe in my next life I’ll get it right…

My first ever Reddit post. This is gonna be a long one so bare with me. I should give some context to better show the picture. My father 55M and my mother 47F have been working together in a construction business for 20 years. During this time I 21M have been helping them. All my summers were consistent of working from 6am to 5pm in normal work projects or flipping houses. Let me be clear, I am not complaining about doing some work. I appreciate my father and mother for all they have done. Sending me to school and having my college paid for. However, I never had a childhood life. He claims everything he has done he did by himself and he did do most of the work. But I was 10 when I started. And I didn’t do small task like carrying some tools. I worked the machinery, I crawled in tight spaces to the install pipes and wires, I never went out with friends when everyone else did. But I never complained. My mother did all the office work. Setting appointments, emails, clients communication, ordering materials. She also does heavy lifting and she is not in the best of shape but she still does it. And cooks and cleans when she gets home. Basically without my mother the company would go to shambles because my father has never done any of these things. But he claims it’s nothing and that it’s easy work and he gave the bigger sacrifice for money. Side note my mother got surgery on both her arms due to nerve damage and she has this stomach thing that she won’t tell me about but it’s really bad and she wasn’t suppose to work and do heavy lifting and she came home crying after an appointment because the doctor told her she is as good as dead if she keeps going. But yeah my father makes more sacrifices, right? By simply working from 7 to 5 (no longer works 6-5) like every other contractor I know is a great sacrifice right? And he will only hire 1 extra laborer since I am off to college now double majoring in engineering. Anyways, recently they started an airbnb and my mother has been thinking of getting another job to not do physical stuff anymore. She got an email from a company and it looked good so I told her to go for it. My father took it as a sign of defiance and claimed it was my mothers escape plan from the marriage. Some more context, their marriage is loveless. They don’t kiss, hug, say I love you, nothing I know they are staying for my sake. But my mom would never cheat and she still says she has feelings for him. My father always gaslights and starts with his I am sh*t and a horrible person rant and goes on to say I sacrificed my life for you 2 and you want to leave. I could not hold it in anymore and I had a huge shouting match with him. He kept saying how we never worked as hard as him and I said it didn’t matter as long as we did because we were family and we still worked hard. He didn’t listen and kept saying how we don’t do anything and that I in particular don’t know how the world works. Oh. My. God. I am so tired of hearing that. Some background, like the title says 27M and have been in relationship with my girlfriend with suspected BPD for a little over 2 years. We moved in together fast about 4 months in, I know don’t come at me, but she seemed solid. Had a job and owns the house we live in. She’s slightly older than me, 28. She has received large sums of money from him prior to his prison sentence. She is, I feel, intentionally vague about the details of all of that (except for when she’s angry and venting where the details change to serve her victim narrative).
I’m exhausted by how different my relationship is from the healthy relationships of my friends. My friends who can go to a concert with their friends and without their girlfriends obsessively checking up on them, or guilting them for going in the first place. My friends who can have lunch with their girlfriends without an abrupt cessation of eating because she’s suddenly triggered and is going to go throw up her food (or covertly threaten to). My friends whose girlfriends can show up to a hangout without having 5 layers of video-game-girl makeup and a wig styled to “perfection”. I’m tired of playing dad, therapist, boyfriend, and bestie to an adult woman with such a weak core sense of who she is that she bends and warps her body and her mind into what she *thinks* I want when what I *actually want* is to be with someone who can simply exist in her own skin and see the world as it really is. See past her own insecurity to actually see me and not whatever projection her trauma is informing her worldview with at the moment.
She can’t be alone. She is insufferable if I do something for myself, without her. She believes she needs to supervise me and make her presence known so that other girls (threats) don’t come onto me. She “knows” that I think other women are cute or beautiful and that I’m “only with her because I know her”. As if this pathologically insecure personality of hers is her winning asset. She’s plenty pretty, and the sex is amazing as you all already know, but even that appeal is lessening due to her intense neediness. She takes my not being in the mood as rejection. She wants sex because she feels bad about herself and needs to feel wanted, regardless of what I want or need. It’s all a reflection of HER. HER needs. HER insecurities. I’m suffocating like there’s no room for me to exist in this relationship. She sucks up all the air in any given room.
She’s obsessed with “thinspo,” body modification, and plastic surgery. I have tattoos myself and do find them attractive on a woman, but I believe she is using tattoos and piercings as self-harm. I hate to say it but I’m starting to question the legitimacy of her eating disorder as she is the attention-seeking type. The attention seeking didn’t used to bother me and I used to be ok with caring for hesoothing her, but she’s just getting worse over time and needing more.
Her spending is out of control and she can’t keep a job. She got herself fired from her job this year because she couldn’t keep her head down enough to keep a paycheck. At a job she was lucky to have (not technically qualified for) and exaggerated to the point of lying on her resume to get into. She now has her own business, which despite my own job is “our” gig in an attempt to future-fake and keep me stuck with her. I can’t say much about the business without giving away too much indentifying information. But there is a lot of frustration here. I am expected to do so much for this business and while I support her, I don’t want this for myself and I do have my own work. She spends so much money she doesn’t have on “the business”. She asks me for money for “business things” which also happen to be expensive hobby gear or the newest iphone, making a case for needing it for social media promotion or whatever else excuse. She can’t tolerate due to her childhood poverty being “without” anything she wants. She has thousands in debt which she finds a way to blame on her parents too (she is estranged from them).
I believed the lies and exaggerations that she was better off than this and more capable than this. But she’s coming apart and I’m not enough to hold her – or us – together. If I stay, I’ll continue to be miserable. If I leave, I’ll be just another asshole who abandons her. And that’s how every story ever ends, she says. Everyone always abandons her. She doesn’t get that she’s the reason. She really believes in her victimhood. She lost a significant friendship last year and I was fully on her side, convinced she was wronged. Now that I’m feeling the weight of knowing her long-term, I honestly kind of get it.
There’s so much more I wanted to write but I’m exhausted. I’m angry. I’m thinking about my future, and I don’t think I want one with her. This has been fun (well it was...) and I care about her, I really do, but I don’t think I can keep doing this.

Backstory: I’m a 30 year old and I’ve struggled with heavy, clotty, and very painful periods for a few years now (worsened after having kids). I was recently diagnosed with adenomyosis after going to the ER for a huge blood clot and extra heavy bleeding. I was done with my uterus since I already have 2 babies and I wanted to be done with my horrible periods. I went in for my consultation and had a surgery date within a month or so.
Surgery day was smooth and I stayed the night in the hospital for 1 night. I had my family stay at our house in little 3-4 day increments for the first 2 weeks to help with my 18 month old and 3 year old during the day while my husband worked. Then after the first two weeks my husband worked shorter hours and ran up and down the stairs to help lift our son in and out of the highchair constantly etc.
My recovery went really well! I had a total laproscopic hysterectomy and kept my ovaries. The gas pains right after surgery were the worst part of recovery by far for me. I tried to walk around and move and keep trying to pass gas and eat things that were easy to digest. I also focused on eating nutritious and very fibrous foods to heal. I drank a protein shake every day and made smoothies and ate applesauce pouches with lots of veggies etc. I also took miralax for the week before surgery through the first 2 weeks. I was only on narcotic pain meds for about 3 days, on big girl ibuprofen for maybe 3 more days after that. I felt mostly normal by 2-3 weeks post op except for the fatigue. I was really good about not lifting anything for the 6 weeks (and had lots of help from my family and husband thank goodness).
I just had my 6 week appt and she said my vaginal cuff is healed and only have about a 1/2 inch spot on it that is still red and raw looking but that I was cleared for lifting and sexual activity. I am now lifting my toddlers and feeling like myself again (minus the uterine pain yay!). My husband and I finally had sex and it went super well! We used lots of lubrication and took our time getting warmed up and it didn’t hurt at all! I was so relieved!!
Just wanted to share my positive experience for anyone who was scared to get the surgery done. I know I was super lucky to receive so much help from my village and that’s a big part of why I was able to take the time to really heal well. I was super nervous and hesitant to do it, but I am SO GLAD that I got the surgery done! It was easier on my body than my 2 vaginal births IMO. Good luck out there y’all! ❤️

It's a lot to fit into a title, so sorry if that title is a mess.
I've been reading/watching a lot of male detransitioners*, because as a trans man myself, I relate a lot to their statements. Like, being downright miserable because you're missing your penis. Or how you were horribly depressed because you were convinced you were a girl for years on end, while deep down having a feeling its not right. Or even about how you were mistreated, to downright medically abused by doctors.
*I'm sure this phenomena happens with trans women/detrans women too, but, I see it happen a lot less often nor am I very experienced with that comparison.
However, when they complain about it, they get met with compassion. "oh, it's so sad you have to live without your penis" "I'm so sorry your life got messed up with the wrong hormones." and just generally people talking about how sad and fucked up it is that a man had to go through that.
But when I complain about how bottom dysphoria drives me suicidal every waking moment, how being forced to live as female, and brainwashed into thinking I was, was traumatizing, about how I was medically abused by doctors and clinics...
Then I just get met with "well you should be grateful you're as far into transition as you are" or "just try packers or plan for bottom surgery" or just something other dismissive. Never anything about how sad it is I have to go through this, with a permanently disfigured body, with trauma, and all the other nasty stuff that comes with this condition.
I'm just gonna stop rambling here because I'm sure the point will have gotten across. I know people will say something something about agab and how that influences this, but I find it all bullshit. It's plain hypocrisy and disgusting. So if that's the real reason this phenomena happens, then it's even worse than I thought.

I have no idea how I carried around, basically a 11 pound baby for a year. Before the surgery I seen extreme stretch marks, I’m assuming this is from the weight of the cyst. My stomach was so round and looking back now it’s flatter. I had major back pain and now It feels so strange to have a good back. I definitely feel more like myself. I’m still groggy from the anesthesia so I might repeat myself hahaha.
Since I’m a minor, I was transferred to the children’s surgical care. I had the best surgeons and they helped me be calm the entire time there. I was so worked up that I thought I would wake up from the anesthesia, or that something would go wrong and cause the anesthesia to not work. I was even worried about the little things like not fitting in the gowns 🥲 So stupid thinking about it now lol. They made little conversation and they were so amazed that someone like me watches the show, “The Office”. I watched that show start to end 1000 times. I got mugs coming, with prison Mike on it. They were also amazed that I had these little plastic plugs in my eyebrow piercings. I assuming that was their first time seeing them but I talked to them about it and told them it’s perfectly fine, it’s only plastic, no metal.

I am going on a spiral although I am not in a dark place to sewer slide anymore I’m not in danger
I desperately want plastic surgery. I have no savings or money as I am a broke college girl. I would do anything (legal) to get it. I am so tired of looking how I do. I am so gross. I attempted sewer slide 2 but failed because of this. If I had the body I wanted I would be happy. I hate my body it’s so gross. I wish I had better features. I just hate this feeling. My sisters don’t understand my struggle because they are stunning. They constantly tell me to shut up or that I’m being crazy. I am so distrustful of my boyfriend. I only think he is with me because of my personality. He gets mad and upset every time I ask why he is with me. I love him but I feel like he could do better and tried to leave him 3 times. He always says “i love you for you” He has said if I get plastic surgery he will will consider leaving me. I don’t think everyone in my life that loves me understands how much of a big deal this is for me. I know they are lying because I was bullied in high school for it. They are being nice and I’m so done with it. I felt this way my whole life and it just has made me so bitter and hateful towards myself. Im so insecure. I’m just so tired of living life this way it’s so annoying.

I started following Chalene back when that whole plastic surgery/Dr Laguna thing happened. I was really interested in the story and wanted to see what happened. I also used to have my own online business (NOT an MLM) and was interested in her business type posts and stories and advice. More recently I started following along her menopause journey because I am also a 50+yo woman in menopause. But then her pictures and thirst traps and constantly showing off her body really started turning me off. I couldn’t quite put my finger on what was happening I just knew that she was becoming less and less relatable to me and really flaunting her wealth and her body and how happily married she is and her travel and suddenly everything about her started to feel ……icky. I thought it was just me and started wondering if anyone else out there was feeling the way I am. And then I discovered this page. And I feel so validated 😂

(30m. been suffering with my internal hemorrhoids prolapsing every time i take a sh*t since high school. i’ve never experienced pain from them until this last flare up. i went to a colorectal surgeon and instantly agreed for the procedure to be done. i’m 9 days post op)
i attached my procedure to show what was actually done to me. i was nervous about the pain, but the healing process has been almost seamless! every time i use the bathroom the amount of pressure feels like i’m going to tear something open, but after it passes i’m fine. i hated the feeling like i constantly had to sh*t, but once you go for the first time you can tell the difference from the pressure of the wound and the pressure of actually having to go.
i was prescribed Oxycodone and used it scarcely and only as needed. i don’t have a tub so i was able to use my best friend and ex’s tub to soak. i do NOT recommend the “sitz bath”. that’s horrible and just feels like you’re making a new hemorrhoid. if you don’t have a tub, i did also buy a long and shallow storage bin from target and just sat in that.
hope this helps relieve some people’s fears of getting the surgery. i did all my research and googling and filled myself with fear. obviously it’s surgery, so there will be pain. just keep your head up and research your surgeon!!
