How did you end up in the UK? —I was born in Kiev. During the Second World War, when the Germans entered the city, my parents, like many others, left Kiev. And through Europe they eventually got to England. It was easy for me to learn English. It is not difficult for any child to learn a language, and after a few months you already can communicate with other children. Then I graduated from school and a university here, and became a teacher. I grew up in ROCOR. During my youth, there were very few Orthodox churches in the country, and we only traveled there for the major feasts several times a year. When I was in ROCOR, I got to know the Moscow Patriarchate and met Metropolitan Anthony of Sourozh. But it was much later, when I started working and teaching. Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky —How did you decide to become a priest? —When I was thirty, I decided to go and study again. And then I met Associate Professor Sergei Hackel, the future archpriest, with whom we later became friends. But at that time I was not yet acquainted with Vladyka Anthony. I met him when I graduated from the second university and we moved to live elsewhere. We attended a ROCOR church, where Archbishop Nicodemus (Nagaev; 1883-1976) served. He was a general in the First World War, then became a priest and archbishop. But when we moved, we started attending the nearest church—it was in Oxford. And Oxford is the Moscow Patriarchate. We attended it, and on the great feasts we went to the Holy Annunciation Convent (ROCOR). It was headed by Mother Abbess Elisabeth (Ampenoff; 1908-1999). I met Vladyka Anthony in the Moscow Patriarchate, and over time he ordained me deacon. So I served as a deacon in Oxford. And a few years later, he ordained me priest. We had a joint church with the Greeks in Oxford. It was originally consecrated by a Greek bishop, Vladyka Anthony and a Serbian bishop. At that time we served together, there was a very friendly and good atmosphere there. But I also traveled to London regularly to serve with Vladyka. —Were you his spiritual child? —Yes, I was. —Please tell us about him. How would you describe his personality? Can you remember how he stood before God at the Liturgy, how he prayed? —Of course, it’s very easy. He was a man of prayer. Clergy rarely pray this way, with such depth. When he prayed, there were no conversations in the sanctuary—something that unfortunately does happen. He himself didn’t talk. Like many hierarchs, he prayed without a service book, because he knew all the services by heart and did not need prompting. And he would often stand with his eyes closed between his exclamations. In his declining years he leaned on his staff because it was hard for him to maintain balance—he was ill towards the end of his life. He had a very pleasant voice, which he raised when he gave exclamations or preached a sermon. He never raised his voice at anyone. However, there was one occasion when he scolded the whole congregation from the ambo after the Liturgy, after someone had offended a mother with a child in the middle of the church the previous week. The child was crying, making noise, and someone told his mother rather rudely to leave the church because the child was hindering his prayer. Vladyka said that it must never happen again and that the parishioner in question had not prayed enough if he could do this. But Vladyka, as I said, always insisted that there should be silence and a prayerful state in church, and not noise. Vladyka Anthony at the Diocesan youth camp in 1961. When Vladyka came to the UK, he did not know English. He knew Russian, French and German, but did not speak English and learned it after moving to the UK. And when he became a bishop, he decided that since he was in Britain, he should preach in English. He would write his sermons on paper, writing down what he wanted to say. And one day a parishioner told him (everyone called him “father”, although he was a hierarch, because he was a father to everyone): “Father Anthony, we are very bored listening to you.” Vladyka was surprised, “Really?” The parishioner replied, “You know, yes, it’s boring. You’d better speak without a paper.” Vladyka wondered, “But why? After all, I make mistakes when I speak.” The parishioner answered, “Yes, but when you make mistakes, it’s so funny and interesting to us.” Vladyka took it into account and began to speak without a paper. And after this, he had brilliant English. —What was his pastoral approach to people? What was his attitude towards the sacrament of confession? —When I came to his parish, he rarely heard confessions, and he heard confessions only of specific people, not the whole congregation. He had a very careful attitude towards this sacrament and showed understanding to every individual person. Everybody who spoke with Vladyka felt that he was the most important person for Vladyka at that moment. A film was made about him, called, The Apostle of Love. He really treated everyone with love. He could be strict, but love always came first. Vladyka felt people keenly. If someone had a really serious problem, he had access to Vladyka; although of course, as an archpastor he was busy. —Do you think he acquired this love, or did he always have it? —I didn’t know his mother. Perhaps he inherited some traits from his father—an understanding of life, people and God Himself. If you recall, his meeting with the Savior took place when he was a young man. After listening to one theological lecture, he was indignant: “How is it? It’s impossible!” Then he went home and said: “Mom, do we have a Gospel?” Of course, they had one at home. He opened the Gospel of Mark, and as he would often later recall, he began to read it, read several chapters and suddenly felt that Christ was standing next to him… Before that, he hadn’t wanted to go to church, being an interesting young student. But at that moment, he felt Him. He couldn’t see, but He knew that Christ was there.… He had knowledge, wisdom, and love. It seems to me that we have no other archpastor who would speak so simply and so deeply at the same time. He spoke directly, like a close friend and a father. And it is love too. Unfortunately, we don’t feel it everywhere… Vladyka Anthony at the diocesan conference in May 1985. —Father Maxim, could you share with us what else you learned from him? —Of course, Vladyka’s influence on everyone who served in London was great. He ordained all the clergy in the cathedral. He knew everyone very well. And you could just see how he lived. And he lived very modestly. He cooked for himself and cleaned himself his small cell, which was at the cathedral. Many people were happy to give him a lift whenever needed: sometimes he called them when there were urgent matters, and several people were always ready to give him a lift. Many universities invited him to give talks; he had many honorary doctorates from different universities. Major hospitals invited him to talk about pastoral care and medicine as well. After all, he himself had once been a doctor. —Did he convert many Brits to Orthodoxy? —Surely, a lot of them, including many influential figures. At the very beginning, the services were only in Church Slavonic, and then they began to celebrate in English. Once a month, he held services entirely in English. And even those who did not convert to Orthodoxy venerated Vladyka. Later, I personally met many people who, being British, remembered Metropolitan Anthony’s words he had spoken in Anglican seminaries, to which he had been invited. He came there and talked about Christianity, but from an Orthodox perspective. He would say: “I’m talking about Christianity. I am a Christian, a Russian to the core, an Orthodox Christian.” Undoubtedly, there were those who converted to Orthodoxy thanks to him. And those who did not convert remembered him all their lives; many of them used his sermons. But, you know, he didn’t write his sermons or books—all his books are his living word. —Have you met other spiritual people in your life who have influenced you? —Personally, I did not communicate, because I felt shy and thought how it would be if I approached him, since he saw right through me—I’m talking about St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco. —Did you see him in person? —Yes. He would come to London. But I didn’t dare approach him. Once I was at a Liturgy that he served. But to my shame, I did not come up to him when he gave the cross to kiss at the end of the service. I was a student then. Later I began to learn more and more about him... And there was Elder Sophrony (Sakharov), who founded the Monastery of St. John the Baptist in Essex. What advice would you give to future clergy? So I've finally collected all the bunnies, got the office key, true ending, etc. I'm up above the well and I'm at the part where I have to decode a location or pathway to fly with the manticore.
The binary puzzles are a bit out of my wheelhouse, I had to learn how to count to decode the egg song, but then I got stumped again with the ears. I tried for a while to solve it on my own but I reached my limit sadly. I looked up some hints and I figured out how to read the ears to get the clues.
My question is, how did people realize that the first set ears represented the order of the bunnies, and the second set of ears represented the direction to fly? The guide on the techraptor site just says they figured it out, but I'm curious what the clue was for determining which ear pattern meant which answer.
Anyway, even though I didn't figure out the method myself, I still want to decode each pair of bunny ears myself and then see where that takes me. Love this game!

What to buildDuring the reconstruction you will have to make 3 decisions as to what you want to build. These decisions are:
The decision between bakery and butchers is rather easy – take bakery. It makes more money for the same build cost. The drying shed is also better than smoke house, as it allows you to dry all kinds of food. Smoke house can only make smoked meat. Lastly you will need to spend more money on resources getting livestock and grain (you only need grain if you go with bakery). Swordsmith or Armoursmith Swordsmith will provide you with the best sword in the game – Tusk. Armoursmith will provide you with the best shield in the game – Boarback shield. These are the only unique items you can get from forge, everything else can be found elsewhere in the game. Which means the decision should be made according to your playstyle. Armoursmith can theoretically make you 10 gr. more than swordsmith, but this difference is so small you should neglect it. Stables or Guardhouse Most difficult decision. At first stables seem like a clear winner. It makes more money, allows you to choose from 3 new horses and provides some special horse tack that cannot be found anywhere else in the game. However. I strongly advise you to consider building guardhouse instead and here’s why. The overall income difference between stables and guardhouse in fully build Pribyslavitz is just 75 gr. Not a big deal considering the village will produce over 2300 gr. daily. The new horses aren’t a big deal either. Each is better than Warhorse Jenda in some way, but also worse in another. And the differences are so small I doubt you would notice them. Lastly, the exclusive horse tack consists of 6 pieces of horse head armor. It looks good, but the usefulness is questionable, as most people don’t really fight from horse. Guardhouse on the other hand, will get you the strongest bow in the game – Sinew bow. But mainly it unlocks arena master. He will provide you with infinite number of enemies to fight against in an arena. You can choose difficulty, weapons, and armor. And yes, the selection includes polearms. It it’s like your own, custom Rattay tourney anytime you want. If you like fighting, guardhouse is for you. The fun it provides is well worth the smaller income and extra horses/horse tack. I would only suggest you build stables if you plan on fighting from horse back. Agro is by far the best fighting horse in the game and the horse armor will come in handy. Rebuilding Pribyslavitz the smart wayYes, the price of fully rebuild Pribyslavitz is well over 95 000 gr. But you DON’T NEED to save up this much. In fact, you only need 23 580 gr. for initial investment, about 2500 gr. to cover the initial running costs and as a reserve and 3000 to buy stone for building. You should have 29 000 gr. ready as you go to start Lost in the Woods quest. That’s all the money you will ever need to invest out of your own pocket.The following part details how to rebuild Pribyslavitz. Order is important, as you need to maximize profits first. You should also aim to get the village profitable as soon as possible. For this reason, try to build everything up until you have tavern as quickly as possible. Initial buildings Start with building Bridge and Road. Then immediately after build Woodcutter’s camp and purchase the Beasts of Burden upgrade. Traders and resources This is where you start doing some “chores”. The next building you need is traders. This building will provide Pribyslavitz with resources. It is crucial to get them as cheap as possible.
While you are running around getting resources, ask Kunesh (in Rattay) and Raspberry (woodcutters camp between Ledetchko and Inn in the Glade, you likely asked him about Reeky’s hideout) to come work for you as woodcutters. It really doesn’t matter all that much, but if you want to rebuild Pribyslavitz as fast as possible without spending more than the initial investment of 29k gr. you should wait until you have all the money. It costs 50 300 gr. to build and fully upgrade both rathaus and church. Pribyslavitz should make this much in about 18 to 20 in game days. The plastic cover was located by evidence search teams in the dryer, inside of the sheets belonging to REDACTED bed." Hi everyone! So I have a kinda complicated situation and I could really use your help. I will try to keep it as short as possible. Well, I gradually stopped using risperidone 4 months ago and everything was great, so many benefits, because I was misdiagnosed and I didn't really need it. Everyone would say I'm a new person. However, I made a major mistake - a week ago I couldn't sleep and I took a relatively high dose, which made me have extrapyramidal symptoms the next day. Parkinsonism, to be more specific - I would be staring to the ceiling, unable to speak, muscles contracted, dissociating, but aware of everything that was happening around me.
I was taken to the psych ward and spent 4 nights there. They gave me valproic acid 600 mg a day, 10 mg diazepam a day, and trihexyphenidil 2 mg a day in the morning. I have taken valproic acid and diazepam before, so I think my issue now is with trihexyphenidil. It makes me feel awful - I have brain fog, I'm dishoriented, panic suddenly, feel detached from reality, can't feel any emotion, can't remember things, feel dizzy, I'm scared to go outside, and I get overwhelmed easily. I have an upcoming trip to another country on Tuesday and I'm afraid something bad would happen.
My question is - would it be okay to lower the dose of trihexyphenidil from 2 mg to 1 mg to see if I feel better regarding the side effects? They're hellish to live with and I really want to function during the trip. I will be accompanied during the vacation, but I will be the guide, kinda, so I need to be present and aware. Also - what are the chances for the extrapyramidal symptoms to come back after I quit taking these meds? I plan to just lower the dose, but they prescribed me these for a month.

I was at a disadvantage before, looking around in unknown territory, but here? This is my house. My country. My library! I have walked around these halls so many times that I have a pretty good mental map of where everything is. Considering the most requested academic tomes are under the protection of the Librarian, I go investigate the shelves on the first floor, where you find mostly reference books.
All this confidence I managed to build up disappears the instant I notice there’s a group of students in the lodges to the side of the hall, just minding their own business. My throat dries up, my knees shake a little bit.
Saints damn it, why aren’t you all on vacation!?
And they are sitting right on my way, between me and the shelves. I am sure the symbol has to be on the shelves…
“Time to turn tail and run, like always.”
“You can do it. Take a deep breath, look straight onwards and walk!”
Taking her advice, I do my best to not look at ANYTHING and just go straight as an ant to the shelves.
“Wait. What if any of them say hi? Oh no. Uhm. Take a quick look! But make it super, super quick!”
Damn it.
My eyes slowly turn to the left as I am walking. Are they looking at me? Did they look at me? WILL they look at me? They don’t seem to even notice me. Should I call for their attention? Should I say hi? I don’t even know them, that would be weird. But what if I do know them and I just don’t remember? There’s lots of law students around, maybe they are law students? I can’t see their books from this distance, maybe I need glasses. Would glasses make me look unassuming? I wish people didn’t look at me…
Eventually I reach the shelves without exchanging a single word with these people. I really, really hope I didn’t look like a nervous wreck while walking by, but I guess there isn’t much I can do about that now, can I? Ugh, I can barely focus as I start looking on the shelf itself, trying to find anything out of the ordinary…
“You’re nervous when there’s a lot of people, and you’re nervous when there’s few people. What will it take for you to be happy about something, huh!? Tiresome bitch…”
I sigh loudly. I left my S.O.S. at home, so I can’t really get rid of these voices tonight… I’ll have to brave them.
“It will be a hard time… but you can do it.”
Taking a deep breath, I continue trying to focus on finding that damn ‘golden symbol’ around the shelves, even taking out a few suspiciously out of place books, just to check if the symbol could be carved on the back of the shelf or something…
Nothing.
I spend a good long hour checking each shelf on the first floor as methodically as my body allows… before I know it, I have given up on everything and am sitting on a bean couch at the main hall, letting my eyes close slowly…
… When I open them again, I practically jump out of my chair.
Did I just fall asleep!?
“Oh boy.”
I pick up my phone to check… It's 2 in the morning.
“Oh boy! Who could have guessed things would go wrong, huh?”
I can still feel the sleepiness in my limbs, my eyelids feel so heavy. Saints, help your poor servant!
The lights feel so vibrant here, so annoying and white. I can practically hear them buzz… but then, I notice something else. The smell of decent coffee, recently brewed. I look around, quickly finding the librarian at her desk, serving cups of coffee to the group I saw… I think of going over and taking one but that would probably imply conversation. And I am not ready for conversation! I—
“Oi! You finally woke up!” The librarian catches me instantly with a knowing smirk. “Want a cuppa?”
I freeze. For a moment I think: ‘hey, let’s pretend I didn’t hear her!’, but I don’t have my headphones on and I made eye contact. I am trapped, TRAPPED.
“M-Mhm.” I manage to whimper, nodding my head quickly.
“Then come over, don’t be shy. We’re all night owls here.”
There is a sense of community there that’s quite alluring, but the curious looks of that group of students really feel like cold daggers on my chest. Still, I gather all my courage and robotically walk over to the group, taking a styrofoam cup, and then watching the woman fill it up slowly with coffee as black as my soul. Just like I like it… just with a hint of sugar, though.
“So you finally came around again. I was wondering what happened to you.” The old lady looked at me, knowingly.
“You… you recognize me?” I can’t help but feel a mixture of happiness and abject horror mounting on my back.
“My child, I recognize every single person who comes to my library! I know them all, believe it or not! Including these rascals over here.”
The others laughed. I just looked at my coffee while mixing a teaspoon of sugar in it. She’s probably joking, right? I mean… there’s no way she actually memorizes every visitor, right?
“Maybe she’s a witch.”
Knowing what I know now? I wouldn’t be surprised. I just take a sip of my coffee.
“You’re not here to study for the special tests, are you?” The lady again read me like a saints’ damned book. “You’re looking for something special.”
“It’s nothing that ominous.” I quickly cover. “I am just looking for a particular book, but I am not sure where I could find it in the library.”
“Why not ask for help? I am right here, precisely for that!” The Librarian puffed up her chest. “If I don’t get anything to do, I get bored.”
“Ah, well, you see…” I start getting nervous again. I can’t just tell her the truth! What if I slip and this woman turns out to be a cloak testing me? Or worse, a sleeper! I am quite sure the whole ‘Secret of magic’ is a very serious matter! I could get her and myself in a big pickle!
The woman seems to notice my distress… and instead of trying to reassure me, the damn crone just goes and says:
“Is it poooorn you’re after, boy?~”

The others are laughing and looking at me all smiley, why!? Why must this lady put me in a situation like this!?
“T-There’s the internet for stuff like that!” I blurt without thinking. “I mean! Ah! Damn it!”
More laughs. At this point my face must be lighting up red and radiating hotter than active uranium.
“I. Can’t. It’s a symbol!”
“A symbol?” One of the other students tilted his head with curiosity. “What kind of symbol? Are we talking chemical or arcane?”
“Nerd spotted. You’re among comrades here, breathe easy.”
It’s hard to breathe easy when people are actively laughing at me, saints damn it!
“It… symbolizes gold.” I finally relented. “I am not sure which one of the many, many interpretations it could be. I thought of the alchemical symbol for gold, or a Sun, who knows…”
“That’s a little vague.” The student said, frowning a little bit and rubbing the back of his neck. “The symbol is in the book? Like, on the cover?”
What am I even supposed to answer to that!?
“I. Think?”
“Well.” The Librarian recovers the reigns of the conversation with a grin. “If that thing you are looking for isn’t here? It may be a literature tome. You know, on the second floor.”
“Y-Yeah…” I sigh. This whole conversation has just been so stressful.
“Well! It could be the Golden Ratio!” One of the girls says. “You know the Golden Ratio?”
“Isn’t that the whole shell inside a rectangle thing?” I blink.
“Yeah! They use the helenian letter ‘phi’ to represent it.”
The girl is nice enough to draw it for me…

I stare at the symbol on the paper for a moment. That’s… actually useful. And it does make sense! It could be this! Suddenly inspired, I stand right up and finish what’s left from my coffee in one gulp, not even caring that it burns my damn throat as I do so.
“Okay, this works. Thank you!” Without even feeling the anxiety attack me again, I bow my head and turn around to go right for the stairs!
When Tav had turned around and moved out, the Leader of the Coven looked at her young apprentice with a frown, shaking her finger slowly at the girl.
“You shouldn’t be so obvious with your hints, young girl.” The woman shook her head softly. “We could have had fun with her for at least another hour!”
“I didn’t feel like being cruel today.” The apprentice said with a sleepy grin, while some of the others ruffled her hair and called her a ‘softie’. “The Bastard needs a way to learn! And it would be sad to see the Overseer waiting for another night…”
I rush past the empty reception desk on the second floor, joging without even caring about the ‘No Running’ rule as I go head first into the wooden shelves of the literature section. And it doesn’t even take me that many attempts to finally see something: a symbol carved on the wooden side of one of the shelves.
Phi. Lower case. Small enough to not be disruptive, but big enough to be noticeable.
My eyes widen, and I immediately approach the symbol with awe invading my body. I don’t even dare to touch it at first, that’s how big my excitement is! Whatever does this mean!? Is this whole building the Elysium? Or just the second floor? Isn’t this place way too public for what they mean to do?
Finally giving up on trying to be cautious, I just touch the symbol. For a moment nothing happens, and I feel the panic starting to take over again.
“Trust the process, maybe it takes a moment!”
I keep my finger pressed on the carved symbol for a moment, taking slow, deep breaths as I try to keep myself from going into a saints damned anxiety attack. But then, something does happen. Octarine, that strange colour, starts filtering from my very veins and into the symbol, filling in the carving before flowing on the air like a river of vibrant purple-green. It advances in front of my eyes, dancing and spiraling before flowing deeper into the library.
“What…?”
“What are you waiting for!?”
“Follow it!”
I don’t have to tell myself twice! My legs don’t have the energy to keep running, but the colour is not flowing super fast, so I can just walk behind it until it reaches an empty wall on the deepest side of the second floor. I put my hand against it and push slightly, this time trying to cause the flow myself! My excitement knows no bounds when the colours flow from my forearm to my palm, and then spread on the wall like vines growing in all directions.
“Idiot! What if someone can see you!?”
Biting my lower lip, I quickly turn around. No one followed me, good! I can focus again on the wall, or in this case the lack of it: where there was a wall now there’s an entrance, a black hole just waiting for me to jump in. With a sigh, I decide to ignore my anxieties and just go into the darkness, being quickly surrounded by it as the wall quickly appears again behind me.
It takes a moment for my eyes to get used to the room, but when they do the way is clear: a spiral stairway going up.
“More stairs… why do people here love their stairs!?”
With a frustrated grumble, I take a step on the stairs, only for them to start moving on their own. Huh. Now that’s convenient! I just let them take me higher and higher, without even questioning how they move without mechanisms or electricity. Magic is just Like That™.
It doesn’t take long until the light hits me: a faint, gentle blue light, like a beautiful night sky. My observation proves right on the money, for what I find on top of the stairway is a tremendous planetarium: a dome of darkness with distant white lights showing the spectacle of the stars right above us.
There are some tables and chairs around, some bookshelves too… and sitting on one of them, was the specter of someone I know. The figure of a certain book vendor.
Miss Pelafina gently brushed some of her dyed black hair behind her ear to look at me with a mocking grin.

“Ah, well, you see…” I start getting nervous again. I can’t just tell her the truth! What if I slip and this woman turns out to be a cloak testing me? Or worse, a sleeper! I am quite sure the whole ‘Secret of magic’ is a very serious matter! I could get her and myself in a big pickle!
The woman seems to notice my distress… and instead of trying to reassure me, the damn crone just goes and says:
“Is it poooorn you’re after, boy?~”
Saints help me.
The others are laughing and looking at me all smiley, why!? Why must this lady put me in a situation like this!?
“T-There’s the internet for stuff like that!” I blurt without thinking. “I mean! Ah! Damn it!”
More laughs. At this point my face must be lighting up red and radiating hotter than active uranium.
“I. Can’t. It’s a symbol!”
“A symbol?” One of the other students tilted his head with curiosity. “What kind of symbol? Are we talking chemical or arcane?”
“Nerd spotted. You’re among comrades here, breathe easy.”
It’s hard to breathe easy when people are actively laughing at me, saints damn it!
“It… symbolizes gold.” I finally relented. “I am not sure which one of the many, many interpretations it could be. I thought of the alchemical symbol for gold, or a Sun, who knows…”
“That’s a little vague.” The student said, frowning a little bit and rubbing the back of his neck. “The symbol is in the book? Like, on the cover?”
What am I even supposed to answer to that!?
“I. Think?”
“Well.” The Librarian recovers the reigns of the conversation with a grin. “If that thing you are looking for isn’t here? It may be a literature tome. You know, on the second floor.”
“Y-Yeah…” I sigh. This whole conversation has just been so stressful.
“Well! It could be the Golden Ratio!” One of the girls says. “You know the Golden Ratio?”
“Isn’t that the whole shell inside a rectangle thing?” I blink.
“Yeah! They use the helenian letter ‘phi’ to represent it.”
The girl is nice enough to draw it for me…

I stare at the symbol on the paper for a moment. That’s… actually useful. And it does make sense! It could be this! Suddenly inspired, I stand right up and finish what’s left from my coffee in one gulp, not even caring that it burns my damn throat as I do so.
“Okay, this works. Thank you!” Without even feeling the anxiety attack me again, I bow my head and turn around to go right for the stairs!
When Tav had turned around and moved out, the Leader of the Coven looked at her young apprentice with a frown, shaking her finger slowly at the girl.
“You shouldn’t be so obvious with your hints, young girl.” The woman shook her head softly. “We could have had fun with her for at least another hour!”
“I didn’t feel like being cruel today.” The apprentice said with a sleepy grin, while some of the others ruffled her hair and called her a ‘softie’. “The Bastard needs a way to learn! And it would be sad to see the Overseer waiting for another night…”
I rush past the empty reception desk on the second floor, joging without even caring about the ‘No Running’ rule as I go head first into the wooden shelves of the literature section. And it doesn’t even take me that many attempts to finally see something: a symbol carved on the wooden side of one of the shelves.
Phi. Lower case. Small enough to not be disruptive, but big enough to be noticeable.
My eyes widen, and I immediately approach the symbol with awe invading my body. I don’t even dare to touch it at first, that’s how big my excitement is! Whatever does this mean!? Is this whole building the Elysium? Or just the second floor? Isn’t this place way too public for what they mean to do?
Finally giving up on trying to be cautious, I just touch the symbol. For a moment nothing happens, and I feel the panic starting to take over again.
“Trust the process, maybe it takes a moment!”
I keep my finger pressed on the carved symbol for a moment, taking slow, deep breaths as I try to keep myself from going into a saints damned anxiety attack. But then, something does happen. Octarine, that strange colour, starts filtering from my very veins and into the symbol, filling in the carving before flowing on the air like a river of vibrant purple-green. It advances in front of my eyes, dancing and spiraling before flowing deeper into the library.
“What…?”
“What are you waiting for!?”
“Follow it!”
I don’t have to tell myself twice! My legs don’t have the energy to keep running, but the colour is not flowing super fast, so I can just walk behind it until it reaches an empty wall on the deepest side of the second floor. I put my hand against it and push slightly, this time trying to cause the flow myself! My excitement knows no bounds when the colours flow from my forearm to my palm, and then spread on the wall like vines growing in all directions.
“Idiot! What if someone can see you!?”
Biting my lower lip, I quickly turn around. No one followed me, good! I can focus again on the wall, or in this case the lack of it: where there was a wall now there’s an entrance, a black hole just waiting for me to jump in. With a sigh, I decide to ignore my anxieties and just go into the darkness, being quickly surrounded by it as the wall quickly appears again behind me.
It takes a moment for my eyes to get used to the room, but when they do the way is clear: a spiral stairway going up.
“More stairs… why do people here love their stairs!?”
With a frustrated grumble, I take a step on the stairs, only for them to start moving on their own. Huh. Now that’s convenient! I just let them take me higher and higher, without even questioning how they move without mechanisms or electricity. Magic is just Like That™.
It doesn’t take long until the light hits me: a faint, gentle blue light, like a beautiful night sky. My observation proves right on the money, for what I find on top of the stairway is a tremendous planetarium: a dome of darkness with distant white lights showing the spectacle of the stars right above us.
There are some tables and chairs around, some bookshelves too… and sitting on one of them, was the specter of someone I know. The figure of a certain book vendor.
Miss Pelafina gently brushed some of her dyed black hair behind her ear to look at me with a mocking grin.
“Took you long enough, didn’t it? Kid.”

I am new to reading Detective Conan although I've watched a big part of the series and most of the movies a few years back (Although I was confused because of some new characters sometimes) Reading the manga chronologically is more enjoyable than watching the series and having to skip the fillers. And the manga is not censored like some of the episodes.

In 2021, I experienced 2 menstrual hemorrhages. On September 5, I went to the hospital to get the physical examination report card. The doctor told me my illness was very serious. The report card showed that my platelets were only 13×10^9/L (simplified to 13, as below), while the normal level is 100-300. The doctor told me to call my husband and ask him to take me to the city hospital. My husband didn't believe it. He thought something might be wrong with the test. Thus, I didn't travel to the city hospital that day.
In the restaurant the next day, when I sat down on the chair, I felt dizzy! I hurriedly let my husband take me to the hospital. According to various aspects of the examination, such as bone penetration and chest bone penetration, the condition is aplastic anemia. By then, I really didn't know how severe this illness is. I thought I did not eat things indiscriminately. I should be full of positive energy and not get sick. At the time, I did not know how stupid and ignorant I was. I had many ignorant habits, such as staying up late at night, bursting into anger, sexual misconduct, and abortions. If I didn't study Buddhism, I would never realize how heavy and deep my karmic obstacles are!
I had a gynecological problem for a long time, but I hadn't been to the hospital, and I was afraid to go to the hospital. It's more likely to happen if you are afraid of something happening. I regret not checking the body timely. Two years ago I dreamed of my deceased aunt and 2 children next to her. Pointing to my gynecology, my aunt said cancer. As I did not encounter Buddhism at that time, I did not understand that it was a great calamity. After waking up I felt scared. Then, I thought it was just a dream, and did not pay attention to it.
My karma broke 2 years late, as the dream predicted. I received 8-10 days of hospital treatment. We asked to be discharged because the cost was too high. I went to our county hospital. A doctor with glasses told me to have a bone marrow transplant. My father-in-law and father did not believe my disease was so serious, and neither did I. I was only a bit older than 30 years old, so I could not have such a severe disease. We travelled to a city hospital for treatment. The doctor told me that I would need a bone marrow transplant. That's when I realized this disease's seriousness!
Master Lu enlightened us to pay attention to the premonitory dream. Otherwise, it would be too late to regret. At that time, I had not encountered the Buddha's teachings, so I knew nothing about these principles. A bone marrow transplant was a bolt out of the blue for us! It cost hundreds of thousands of CNY. Our family was poor, so we couldn't afford it! During that time in the hospital, I was so scared that I couldn't eat or sleep. I also had chronic insomnia. One of the two cancer patients sleeping next to me was in pain every day and relied on painkillers to stop the pain, which was really agonizing. The other cancer patient was in her 70s and afraid of death. Without the Buddha's teachings, sentient beings can only follow their destiny. Although they do not want to die they have to die.
The hospital environment makes me not want to stay for a moment. They are all serious illnesses, such as cancer. I fear thinking about it. I requested discharge from the hospital after >10 days of treatment. I requested to take medication at home and follow a conservative approach to my health. So, I was discharged home.
The other morning, while I exercised at home, I suddenly felt weak. Just in time, my father-in-law arrived. I hurriedly asked him to take me to the clinic. I was too weak to move, so he carried me downstairs.
One night, I read a post on the Internet that a person with a blood disease did not undergo a bone marrow transplant. That person was treated in a specialized Chinese and Western medicine hospital and the low platelet level became normal. So, I contacted the doctor right away and registered for an appointment. My husband immediately booked a sleeper ticket to the hospital for the next day. The fear that I might not wake up after sleeping kept me from sleeping that night. After a few days of hospital treatment, platelets still didn't increase. This worries me a lot. What should I do? Until then, I realized that my disease could not be controlled by medication at all.
In the meantime, I was blessed by the Bodhisattva to see an online video of Master Lu reading a totem posted by a Buddhist practitioner. Since then, I have understood that sexual misconduct and abortion create heavy karma. My gratitude goes out to Bodhisattva's mercy for letting me encounter karma. So I promptly used the three Gems of Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door to treat my disease. I made 2 vows: become a vegetarian for life, and release 2,000 fish after discharge from the hospital.
Just after making the vows, my appetite increased greatly. Actually, in the hospital, the happiest thing for me is to eat. Half a month later I returned home from the hospital. The Buddhist practitioner sent me Buddhist materials. I recited Buddhist scriptures daily. Approximately 10 days later, I returned to the hospital to check. My platelets rose from 13 to 27. A month later, my platelets increased from 27 to 50. During my third check, my platelets rose from 50 to 107. Normal platelet levels are 100-300, so my platelet level is back to normal.
I was so happy, and blessed by the Bodhisattva! I had tears in my eyes at that time. Although there were still abnormal indicators, such as anemia, after all, it had only been a few months since I encountered the Buddha's teachings. Later, my platelet index reached 127.
There was a period of slackness in my cultivation: I could not finish reciting 3 Little Houses within 2 days; did not want to get up in the morning; did not vow the number of Little Houses to my karmic creditors; and my vow was not powerful enough. These resulted in the two dream exams being flunked, leading to 3 or 4 indicators of abnormality.
Hence, my fellow Buddhist practitioners, please take me as a warning, and strive to cultivate our minds, recite Buddhist scriptures diligently, devote ourselves to one Buddhist practice, and never quit!
Now I sincerely make 10 vows to Guan Yin Bodhisattva:
Gratitude to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas from ten directions and three periods of time!

一直以来我妇科不好，也没有去医院，也很怕去医院，真是怕什么来什么。真是后悔没有及时检查身体，也正如在两年前一个晚上做梦，梦见我去世的阿姨和旁边两个小孩，阿姨针对我妇科说癌症，当时没有学佛不知道自己有劫，醒来也有些害怕，只是觉得只是一个梦而已，就没有重视。就这样两年后业障爆发，就这样在医院进行了八到十天治疗，我们要求出院了，因为费用太高，不得不出院.回到家后，去我们县医院，一个带眼镜的医生跟我说要做骨髓移植，公公和爸爸都不相信，我也不相信，这么年轻三十几岁不可能得这么严重的病。于是我们上市医院进行了治疗，医院跟我说确定要做骨髓移植，这时才了解这个病的严重性！
师父说一定要重视预示梦，不重视后悔来不及，当时没有闻到佛法哪里懂师父说的这些道理。做骨髓移植对我们来说晴天霹雳！要几十万，我们家穷，哪里有那么多钱！在医院那段时间吓得吃不下、睡不着，我也有着长期的失眠症，睡在旁边的两个癌症病人，其中一个每天身体疼痛，靠止痛药才能止痛，真是痛苦不堪，一个癌症病人七十多岁了，也害怕死亡。没有闻到佛法，只能随命运走，不想走也得走，只有闻到佛法才有办法。
在医院经过了十几天的治疗，我要求出院回家吃药，保守治疗，医院那个环境一刻也不想待，全是重症，癌症，想想都恐惧，于是我出院了回到家中。
有一天清晨我在锻炼身体，突然浑身无力，正好公公回来了，我赶紧叫他带我上诊所，当时连下楼都是公公背下楼的。一天晚上我在网上看到一位朋友血液病没有做骨髓移植，经过一家专科中西医结合医院让自己的低血小板恢复到正常了。于是，我赶紧按上面的联系方式联系到了医生，挂号预约，老公回来立马订了第二天的去医院的卧铺票。当天晚上我就没有睡，我怕我没有这个福气，怕睡着了醒不过来了。到了医院治疗了几天，血小板还是没有上来，这下可愁死我了，该怎么办？这个时候我才知道我的这个病靠药物根本控制不了的。
就在这时，菩萨保佑我，让我看到一位师兄在网上发的师父图腾的视频，看了才明白是自己邪淫、打胎孩子的业障病，菩萨慈悲保佑让业障深重的我闻到了佛法。于是我就运用心灵法门“三大法宝”，立马许愿吃素，出院放生2000条鱼，刚许下愿吃素，发现胃口大增，在医院最让我开心的事情就是吃饭。住了半个月回到家中，师兄给我寄来了心灵法门的佛学资料，就做起了功课。大概念了十来天时间去医院检查，血小板从十几上升到了27了，接着又念了一个月，第二次检查血小板从27上升到50了，第三次检查由50上升到了107，正常人100到300，已经正常了。
好开心，菩萨保佑！我当时眼泪都掉下来，虽然当时还有指标不正常，有些贫血，但是毕竟才闻到佛法几个月时间。后来我的血小板指标达到127。中间有段时间懈怠，两天念三张小房子还念不动，早上还爬不起来，迟迟不敢许愿给自己要经者小房子的数量，愿力不够，两次梦境考试不及格，导致三四个指标不正常，所以师兄们，要以我为戒，努力修心，念经，一门精进，永不退转！
现在我真诚地向观世音菩萨许愿：
第一，终生吃素；第二，终生不杀生；第三，终生随缘放生；第四，尊师重道，做观世音菩萨的千手千眼，永不退转；第五，终生学习《白话佛法》；第六，终生现身说法，弘扬佛法，广度有缘人；第七，2022年一年内念诵1000张小房子给自己要经者；第八，2022年一年内读《白话佛法》1000遍；第九，2022年一年内放生3000条鱼；第十，：2022年一年内共修精进学习《白话佛法》100场。

As I did not encounter Buddhism at that time, I did not understand that it was a great calamity. After waking up I felt scared. Then, I thought it was just a dream, and did not pay attention to it.
My karma broke 2 years late, as the dream predicted. I received 8-10 days of hospital treatment. We asked to be discharged because the cost was too high. I went to our county hospital. A doctor with glasses told me to have a bone marrow transplant. My father-in-law and father did not believe my disease was so serious, and neither did I. I was only a bit older than 30 years old, so I could not have such a severe disease. We travelled to a city hospital for treatment. The doctor told me that I would need a bone marrow transplant. That's when I realized this disease's seriousness!
Master Lu enlightened us to pay attention to the premonitory dream. Otherwise, it would be too late to regret. At that time, I had not encountered the Buddha's teachings, so I knew nothing about these principles. A bone marrow transplant was a bolt out of the blue for us! It cost hundreds of thousands of CNY. Our family was poor, so we couldn't afford it! During that time in the hospital, I was so scared that I couldn't eat or sleep. I also had chronic insomnia. One of the two cancer patients sleeping next to me was in pain every day and relied on painkillers to stop the pain, which was really agonizing. The other cancer patient was in her 70s and afraid of death. Without the Buddha's teachings, sentient beings can only follow their destiny. Although they do not want to die they have to die.
The hospital environment makes me not want to stay for a moment. They are all serious illnesses, such as cancer. I fear thinking about it. I requested discharge from the hospital after >10 days of treatment. I requested to take medication at home and follow a conservative approach to my health. So, I was discharged home.
The other morning, while I exercised at home, I suddenly felt weak. Just in time, my father-in-law arrived. I hurriedly asked him to take me to the clinic. I was too weak to move, so he carried me downstairs.
One night, I read a post on the Internet that a person with a blood disease did not undergo a bone marrow transplant. That person was treated in a specialized Chinese and Western medicine hospital and the low platelet level became normal. So, I contacted the doctor right away and registered for an appointment. My husband immediately booked a sleeper ticket to the hospital for the next day. The fear that I might not wake up after sleeping kept me from sleeping that night. After a few days of hospital treatment, platelets still didn't increase. This worries me a lot. What should I do? Until then, I realized that my disease could not be controlled by medication at all.
In the meantime, I was blessed by the Bodhisattva to see an online video of Master Lu reading a totem posted by a Buddhist practitioner. Since then, I have understood that sexual misconduct and abortion create heavy karma. My gratitude goes out to Bodhisattva's mercy for letting me encounter karma. So I promptly used the three Gems of Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door to treat my disease. I made 2 vows: become a vegetarian for life, and release 2,000 fish after discharge from the hospital.
Just after making the vows, my appetite increased greatly. Actually, in the hospital, the happiest thing for me is to eat. Half a month later I returned home from the hospital. The Buddhist practitioner sent me Buddhist materials. I recited Buddhist scriptures daily. Approximately 10 days later, I returned to the hospital to check. My platelets rose from 13 to 27. A month later, my platelets increased from 27 to 50. During my third check, my platelets rose from 50 to 107. Normal platelet levels are 100-300, so my platelet level is back to normal.
I was so happy, and blessed by the Bodhisattva! I had tears in my eyes at that time. Although there were still abnormal indicators, such as anemia, after all, it had only been a few months since I encountered the Buddha's teachings. Later, my platelet index reached 127.
There was a period of slackness in my cultivation: I could not finish reciting 3 Little Houses within 2 days; did not want to get up in the morning; did not vow the number of Little Houses to my karmic creditors; and my vow was not powerful enough. These resulted in the two dream exams being flunked, leading to 3 or 4 indicators of abnormality.
Hence, my fellow Buddhist practitioners, please take me as a warning, and strive to cultivate our minds, recite Buddhist scriptures diligently, devote ourselves to one Buddhist practice, and never quit!
Now I sincerely make 10 vows to Guan Yin Bodhisattva:
- Be a vegetarian all my life;
- Do not kill beings all my life;
- Release life according to conditions all my life;
- Respect my Master and His Buddhist teachings, be one of the hands and eyes of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, and never quit;
- Study Buddhism in Plain Terms all my life;
- Convince sentient beings to practice Buddhism using my experiences, propagate Buddhism, and transform the right ones extensively;
- Recite 1,000 Little Houses to my karmic creditors in 2022;
- Read Buddhism in Plain Terms 1,000 chapters in 2022;
- Release 3,000 fish in 2022;
- Attend the group study of Buddhism in Plain Terms 100 sessions in 2022.

第二天上饭店吃饭，刚坐下来头发晕，不好了！我赶紧让先生打车上医院，医生看了单子就进行了各方面检查，骨穿，做胸部骨穿，检查结果出来确定是再生障碍性贫血，当时真不知道这个病的严重性，一直还认为自己没有乱吃东西，还觉得自己正能量满满，不会生病，当时真不知道自己有多愚痴无明，有很多的无明习气，熬夜，爆脾气，邪淫，打胎。不学佛不知道，学佛后才知道业障深重啊！
一直以来我妇科不好，也没有去医院，也很怕去医院，真是怕什么来什么。真是后悔没有及时检查身体，也正如在两年前一个晚上做梦，梦见我去世的阿姨和旁边两个小孩，阿姨针对我妇科说癌症，当时没有学佛不知道自己有劫，醒来也有些害怕，只是觉得只是一个梦而已，就没有重视。就这样两年后业障爆发，就这样在医院进行了八到十天治疗，我们要求出院了，因为费用太高，不得不出院.回到家后，去我们县医院，一个带眼镜的医生跟我说要做骨髓移植，公公和爸爸都不相信，我也不相信，这么年轻三十几岁不可能得这么严重的病。于是我们上市医院进行了治疗，医院跟我说确定要做骨髓移植，这时才了解这个病的严重性！
师父说一定要重视预示梦，不重视后悔来不及，当时没有闻到佛法哪里懂师父说的这些道理。做骨髓移植对我们来说晴天霹雳！要几十万，我们家穷，哪里有那么多钱！在医院那段时间吓得吃不下、睡不着，我也有着长期的失眠症，睡在旁边的两个癌症病人，其中一个每天身体疼痛，靠止痛药才能止痛，真是痛苦不堪，一个癌症病人七十多岁了，也害怕死亡。没有闻到佛法，只能随命运走，不想走也得走，只有闻到佛法才有办法。
在医院经过了十几天的治疗，我要求出院回家吃药，保守治疗，医院那个环境一刻也不想待，全是重症，癌症，想想都恐惧，于是我出院了回到家中。
有一天清晨我在锻炼身体，突然浑身无力，正好公公回来了，我赶紧叫他带我上诊所，当时连下楼都是公公背下楼的。一天晚上我在网上看到一位朋友血液病没有做骨髓移植，经过一家专科中西医结合医院让自己的低血小板恢复到正常了。于是，我赶紧按上面的联系方式联系到了医生，挂号预约，老公回来立马订了第二天的去医院的卧铺票。当天晚上我就没有睡，我怕我没有这个福气，怕睡着了醒不过来了。到了医院治疗了几天，血小板还是没有上来，这下可愁死我了，该怎么办？这个时候我才知道我的这个病靠药物根本控制不了的。
就在这时，菩萨保佑我，让我看到一位师兄在网上发的师父图腾的视频，看了才明白是自己邪淫、打胎孩子的业障病，菩萨慈悲保佑让业障深重的我闻到了佛法。于是我就运用心灵法门“三大法宝”，立马许愿吃素，出院放生2000条鱼，刚许下愿吃素，发现胃口大增，在医院最让我开心的事情就是吃饭。住了半个月回到家中，师兄给我寄来了心灵法门的佛学资料，就做起了功课。大概念了十来天时间去医院检查，血小板从十几上升到了27了，接着又念了一个月，第二次检查血小板从27上升到50了，第三次检查由50上升到了107，正常人100到300，已经正常了。
好开心，菩萨保佑！我当时眼泪都掉下来，虽然当时还有指标不正常，有些贫血，但是毕竟才闻到佛法几个月时间。后来我的血小板指标达到127。中间有段时间懈怠，两天念三张小房子还念不动，早上还爬不起来，迟迟不敢许愿给自己要经者小房子的数量，愿力不够，两次梦境考试不及格，导致三四个指标不正常，所以师兄们，要以我为戒，努力修心，念经，一门精进，永不退转！
现在我真诚地向观世音菩萨许愿：

A person cannot be a true Twelver Shi’ah except if he believes that the Quran is Muharaf! [1]
While this might seem strange, what follows is even stranger. Ahl Al-Sunnah transmitted the Quran from the Prophet [May Blessings of Allah and Peace be upon him and his household] through Tawatur [2] and a multitude of widespread authentic chains. These Mushafs that are printed today, and people all over the world read from, are from one of these four narrations:
So ask [May Allah bless you, benefit you, and make you a benefit for others] … ask their scholars: Where is the Quran of Aal Al-Bayt? Where is the Mushaf which the Imams narrate and transmit from each other?
Where is the chain of: Al-‘Askari from the way of Al-Hadi from Al- Jawad from Al-Ridaa form Al-Kazim from Al-Sadiq from Al-Baqir from Zayn Al-‘Abideen from Al-Husien (the grandson of the Prophet) or Al-Hasan (the grandson of the Prophet) from Ali [May Allah be pleased with them all]?
Did the students of these Imams narrate everything from them except the Quran?!!
Are the scholars of the Shi’ah capable of producing a chain of the Quran up to the Messenger [May Blessings of Allah and Peace be upon him and his household] without relying on or referring back to the chains of Ahl Al-Sunnah?!! I am definite that they are incapable of producing such a thing, so go back to them and check if they can correct me. What I think they will say to you, though, is: there is a narration, and it is the narration of Hamza Al-Zayaat from the way of Al-Sadiq from Al-Baqir from Zayn Al-‘Abideen from Al-Husien from Ali.
This should raise another important question: Why is this being narrated by Hamza Al-Zayaat [3] from Al-Sadiq [4], and not by Al-Kazim [from Al-Sadiq]? And why isn’t Al-Kazim’s son: Al-Rida narrating this from him? And why isn’t Al-Jawad narrating it from Al-Rida … this is a very important point to pay attention to.
Then I add to this another question to the Shi’ah: Where are your chains today to Hamza Al-Zayaat? And where is the recitation of Hamza Al-Zayaat being recited today?
All the countries that the Shi’ah recite Quran in today follow: the narration of Hafs from ‘Asim, the narration of Warsh from Nafi’, the narration of Qalon from Nafi’, or the narration of Al-Duwri from Abi ‘Amr. Where is the narration of Hamza? I do not know of a Mushaf that is printed upon the narration of Hamza on this day.
If the Companions were Apostates, especially the famous ones from among them, and they were the ones that transmitted the Quran: How can a Shi’ah trust the narration of those who he believe are Apostates? This Quran that is between our hands today, is from the narration of those companions of the Prophet [May Blessings of Allah and Peace be upon him and his household], and it is the one narrated by Hafs from the way of ‘Asim from Abi ‘Abdulrahman Al-Salami from ‘Uthman and Ali and Ubi and Zayd.

We add to this, that some Shi’a scholars, such as Ni’mat-u-Allah Al- Jazai’ri [5], Al-Nuri Al-Tabrasi [6] , and others proclaimed that Mutawatir narrations were transmitted from the infallible Imams stating that the Quran is Muharaf, yet you do not find even one narration from the Imams clearly stating that the Quran is free from any such Tahreef. The first to say that [the Quran is] free from Tahreef from their earlier scholars are four, they are: Al-Tabrasi Abu Ali[7], Al-Tusi[8] , Al-Murtada [9], and Al-Saduq [10]. As for Al-Mufeed [11] he has two sayings in this matter.
It follows, that all those who claim to follow the Twelve Imams should also say [as their Imams are reported to have said] that the Quran has been subject to Tahreef, since the narrations that came from the way of the Imams attested to such a thing. As for those who don’t wish to follow the Imams and choose to follow someone else, like Al-Tusi, Al-Murtada, Al-Saduq, and Al-Tabrasi then that is their matter.
For that reason you will find that the scholars of Ahl Al-Sunnah are strict in this matter, and say that whoever says that the Quran is Muharaf is a Kaffir, and they clearly declare such a thing based on what Allah the Exalted said: {Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian}Hijr 15:9 . The scholars of the Shi’ah, on the other hand, do not say that, rather they just say that he who says such a thing is just mistaken.
Many times we hear of a narration called “Hadith Al-Thaqalayn”, and the Thaqalayn as is known are: The Book of Allah, and Aal Al- Bayt. This tradition, which came in the Shiah books, state that the Quran is the Major [Thiql], and Aal Al-Bayt is the minor Thiql. So after this we say:
Don’t all the scholars of the Shi’ah with no exception, say that the killers of Al-Husien [May Allah be pleased with him] are Apostates, since Al-Husien [May Allah be pleased with him] is a member of the minor Thiql, thus his killers are Apostates due to their attack on a member of the minor Thiql, based on this tradition. Yet they do not accuse any of those who attack the major Thiql, the Quran, of any of that?!
For that reason a huge number … yes a huge number … from the big Shi’ah scholars said that the Quran is Muharaf. So do you accept these [scholars] as the symbols and heads of the Mazhab you are attributed to? [These are the scholars] whom you ask Allah to bestow his Mercy on, and whom you highly praise the knowledge and books they left behind. Do you know, May Allah Bless you, that Husien Al-Nuri Al- Tabrasi 13 said that the Noble Quran has ridiculous, silly verses (I ask refuge in Allah for me and you from such Apostasy)!

You do realise the Qur'an is an oral tradition, don't you. If you can't accept this then I am afraid you have to become Sunni because the earliest traditions are Sunni.
The earliest Hadith books are Sunni. The earliest Fiqh books are Sunni. The earliest 'Aqidah books are Sunni. The earliest Sirah books are Sunni. These were written several hundred years before Shiite books were written. Study and read the earliest books, and you will gain a good understanding.
Shias might attempt to steal the chains in the Sunni books and attribute them to themselves, which is pathetic and shows the weakness of their way. `Asim bin abi al-Nujoud, Hafs bin Sulayman and Hamzah al-Zayyat are all great Imams of Ahlul-Sunnah, the Twelvers cannot prove that they were Rafidhi imami Shia neither through their books or ours. If they were to prove that they were Shia, the Shia of the time were Sunni in their worship, and even if they try their best to prove that they were Rafidhah, then even the Imamiyyah at the time had different sects all of them enemies who make Takfeer on each-other.
By consensus`Asim and Hafs are two great Imams of Qira’at. The weakness attributed to Hafs is in regards to his skills as narrator, and the accusation of him being a liar is a baseless exaggeration. And if true still doesn’t strengthen Shia’s view.
The rules for the authentication of a narrator in a Hadithi chain are different than the rules for the authentication of a Qur’ani recitation.
1 Tahreef is the belief that the Quran has been subject to alteration after the Death of Prophet Muhammad [Blessings and Peace be upon him], and that the Quran that we have today is not the same as the one left to us by him [Blessings and Peace be upon him]. Such a belief would place one outside the fold of Islam according to the Scholars of Ahl Al-Sunnah wa Al-Jama’ah.
2 Tawatur or Mutawatir is a narration reported by a significant number of narrators at each level of the chain of narration, in such a way that it becomes beyond possibility that these narrators could have conspired to forge such narration. It is of the highest level of authenticity, and the highest level of Tawatur is that of the Quran.
3 Hamza Al-Zayaat (80 H to 156/8 H): He is Hamza b. Habib b. ‘Imarah Al-Zayat Al-Kufi. He is one of the scholars of his time in the Qiraat. He was known for his worship and piety. He took the Quran from: Sulaiman Al-A’mash, Humraan b. A’yan, Ja’far b. Muhammad Al-Sadiq, Abu Ishaq Al-Subai’y, and many others.

A person cannot be a true Twelver Shi’ah except if he believes that the Quran is Muharaf! [1]
While this might seem strange, what follows is even stranger. Ahl Al-Sunnah transmitted the Quran from the Prophet [May Blessings of Allah and Peace be upon him and his household] through Tawatur [2] and a multitude of widespread authentic chains. These Mushafs that are printed today, and people all over the world read from, are from one of these four narrations:
- The narration of Hafs from ‘Asim, and this is widespread in the Arabian Gulf, Egypt, Shaam, Iraq, and Yemen.
- The second is the narration of Warsh from Nafi’, and this is common in Morocco and Algeria.
- The third narration is that of Qalon from Nafi’, and it is widespread in Libya.
- The fourth is the narration of Al-Duwri from Abi ‘Amr, and this is common in Chad and the South of Sudan.
So ask [May Allah bless you, benefit you, and make you a benefit for others] … ask their scholars: Where is the Quran of Aal Al-Bayt? Where is the Mushaf which the Imams narrate and transmit from each other?
Where is the chain of: Al-‘Askari from the way of Al-Hadi from Al- Jawad from Al-Ridaa form Al-Kazim from Al-Sadiq from Al-Baqir from Zayn Al-‘Abideen from Al-Husien (the grandson of the Prophet) or Al-Hasan (the grandson of the Prophet) from Ali [May Allah be pleased with them all]?
Did the students of these Imams narrate everything from them except the Quran?!!
Are the scholars of the Shi’ah capable of producing a chain of the Quran up to the Messenger [May Blessings of Allah and Peace be upon him and his household] without relying on or referring back to the chains of Ahl Al-Sunnah?!! I am definite that they are incapable of producing such a thing, so go back to them and check if they can correct me. What I think they will say to you, though, is: there is a narration, and it is the narration of Hamza Al-Zayaat from the way of Al-Sadiq from Al-Baqir from Zayn Al-‘Abideen from Al-Husien from Ali.
This should raise another important question: Why is this being narrated by Hamza Al-Zayaat [3] from Al-Sadiq [4], and not by Al-Kazim [from Al-Sadiq]? And why isn’t Al-Kazim’s son: Al-Rida narrating this from him? And why isn’t Al-Jawad narrating it from Al-Rida … this is a very important point to pay attention to.
Then I add to this another question to the Shi’ah: Where are your chains today to Hamza Al-Zayaat? And where is the recitation of Hamza Al-Zayaat being recited today?
All the countries that the Shi’ah recite Quran in today follow: the narration of Hafs from ‘Asim, the narration of Warsh from Nafi’, the narration of Qalon from Nafi’, or the narration of Al-Duwri from Abi ‘Amr. Where is the narration of Hamza? I do not know of a Mushaf that is printed upon the narration of Hamza on this day.
If the Companions were Apostates, especially the famous ones from among them, and they were the ones that transmitted the Quran: How can a Shi’ah trust the narration of those who he believe are Apostates? This Quran that is between our hands today, is from the narration of those companions of the Prophet [May Blessings of Allah and Peace be upon him and his household], and it is the one narrated by Hafs from the way of ‘Asim from Abi ‘Abdulrahman Al-Salami from ‘Uthman and Ali and Ubi and Zayd.
Where is the chain of the Shi’ah to Hafs or to Warsh or to Qalon or to Al-Duwri?
After answering these questions you would understand why we said that you will not be a shi’ah except if you say that the Quran had been subject to Tahreef.
We add to this, that some Shi’a scholars, such as Ni’mat-u-Allah Al- Jazai’ri [5], Al-Nuri Al-Tabrasi [6] , and others proclaimed that Mutawatir narrations were transmitted from the infallible Imams stating that the Quran is Muharaf, yet you do not find even one narration from the Imams clearly stating that the Quran is free from any such Tahreef. The first to say that [the Quran is] free from Tahreef from their earlier scholars are four, they are: Al-Tabrasi Abu Ali[7], Al-Tusi[8] , Al-Murtada [9], and Al-Saduq [10]. As for Al-Mufeed [11] he has two sayings in this matter.
It follows, that all those who claim to follow the Twelve Imams should also say [as their Imams are reported to have said] that the Quran has been subject to Tahreef, since the narrations that came from the way of the Imams attested to such a thing. As for those who don’t wish to follow the Imams and choose to follow someone else, like Al-Tusi, Al-Murtada, Al-Saduq, and Al-Tabrasi then that is their matter.
For that reason you will find that the scholars of Ahl Al-Sunnah are strict in this matter, and say that whoever says that the Quran is Muharaf is a Kaffir, and they clearly declare such a thing based on what Allah the Exalted said: {Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian}Hijr 15:9 . The scholars of the Shi’ah, on the other hand, do not say that, rather they just say that he who says such a thing is just mistaken.
Many times we hear of a narration called “Hadith Al-Thaqalayn”, and the Thaqalayn as is known are: The Book of Allah, and Aal Al- Bayt. This tradition, which came in the Shiah books, state that the Quran is the Major [Thiql], and Aal Al-Bayt is the minor Thiql. So after this we say:
Don’t all the scholars of the Shi’ah with no exception, say that the killers of Al-Husien [May Allah be pleased with him] are Apostates, since Al-Husien [May Allah be pleased with him] is a member of the minor Thiql, thus his killers are Apostates due to their attack on a member of the minor Thiql, based on this tradition. Yet they do not accuse any of those who attack the major Thiql, the Quran, of any of that?!
For that reason a huge number … yes a huge number … from the big Shi’ah scholars said that the Quran is Muharaf. So do you accept these [scholars] as the symbols and heads of the Mazhab you are attributed to? [These are the scholars] whom you ask Allah to bestow his Mercy on, and whom you highly praise the knowledge and books they left behind. Do you know, May Allah Bless you, that Husien Al-Nuri Al- Tabrasi 13 said that the Noble Quran has ridiculous, silly verses (I ask refuge in Allah for me and you from such Apostasy)!

Hi ! So I’m a bit unsure on what I’m doing. I applied for Pip on the 2nd of April (that’s when they got my form) I was expecting to wait a few months for an assessment.
On the 1st of May I got a text saying ‘We've received the written report of your PIP assessment. We will write to you once we've made a decision on your PIP. As a guide you should hear from us within 8 weeks. You don't need to contact us unless any of the details you gave us have changed. Thank you.’ And that confused me. Am I not meant to have an assessment ?
I called and they said it had been handed to the briefing people who make the decision.
Then today I got ‘We have not yet made a decision on your PIP claim. We will write to you when we have made a decision. You only need to contact us if your circumstances change.’
Does this mean I’m not getting the support? I know it says up to 8 weeks but everywhere I’ve read it says 2 weeks for an answer. And like 2 weeks for the letter then 2-4 weeks for payment and stuff. I just I’m not very good at staying calm and I don’t have an answer either a yes or a no.
How long after that second text did you hear something back?
