Letter to cancel deal

Location: Washington State
I have received a summons for a lawsuit for Breach of Contract from a debt collection agency regarding a debt I failed to pay a few years ago.
I do not have money to secure a lawyer, but am unsure how to proceed.
I have 20 days to respond to the summons. I have the cash on hand to pay the debt off (and was actually in the process of putting together the paperwork for a debt verification letter when I received this notice).
I would like to try and settle this outside of court just to get it off my plate, and off of my credit, and not have to deal with going in and out of court, taking the time off, etc. Not sure if this is an option at this point or not.
Any help or advice on how to proceed is appreciated.

I feel so banal just putting this down.
I've been married for almost 24 years now. There is way more background than I can put in here. [edit: Looks like I did my best though lol.]
In that timespan, in roughly chronological order, I've become a parent twice over, lost my mind and gone to outpatient mental health at a local hospital a couple of times, considered suicide, sat in the dark banging my head against a wall, found antidepressants which saved my life, started drinking, lost jobs, stopped drinking, started therapy, got in shape, found jobs, got out of shape, started drinking and hiding it, stopped drinking again, and finally concluded my marriage is a fucked up sham.
I keep a journal from time to time. The ones from 20 years ago are was full of "She is such a control freak bitch" vitriol about events I don't even remember anymore. The ones from 10 years ago? Same. The way I feel now? Same. She's to my mind narcissistic and expects everyone to act and change to her whims and has no patience when her requests aren't followed TO THE LETTER.
My role, and I am trying not to hyperbolize, boils down to: Earn money. Shop and cook meals. Fix things when they break. Find things when wife loses them. Unwaveringly support her home business, which involves moving hundreds of pounds of inventory from A to B and back to A again. Perform other tasks as ordered, and get an earful if I don't do them right.
My 9-5 job is... complicated. I'll just say every day is a new exciting ball of stress. I'm very very very appreciated there, but it is difficult for a variety of reasons. I come home most days feeling beat down and exhausted.
Now it gets specific.
Lately my octogenarian mother has started that downhill mental slide and my wife ostensibly has been "helping" me with her - which practically speaking means telling my mom what she needs to do using me as a conduit. (My father died years ago after a similar mental decline. My mother was his caretaker at that time, more power to her.) My wife has always been very vocal with her negative opinions about my wrong-side-of-the-tracks brother (who lives in mom's house in my area, is 50 and can't keep a job) and my wrong-side-of-the-aisle father (RIP he was really a nice guy) and more and more lately how difficult it is dealing with my mom. ("But you can't be mad at her, she can't help it" is always her follow-up comment.)
A week or so ago I got an abrupt phone message that mom was up and driving to Florida (a 14-hour trip from where we live) with my ne'er-do-well brother to get her snowbird RV working, cleaned up and on the market. This would conflict with some very necessary appointments I had made with her and I was furious at being blindsided. Mom was unwilling to postpone for admittedly valid reasons. My wife offered to call her and discuss this on my behalf since I didn't feel I could keep a level mind. I got a text from my mother shortly after that call asking if my wife had yelled at her own mother in that way\*.
I passed that on to wife with the question "What did you say?" and got back "I only spoke firmly with her" and she was overreacting and that I should text mom back and defend my wife. I texted and said something akin to "She called to save you from how much *I* would have yelled."
Fine. And life goes on. More and more shit hits various fans. TWO DAYS AGO we need to schedule other family things and I am interrupted at work with a photograph of an email on her computer screen showing some proposed info. I pull my attention away from what I'm doing and apparently take too long to sort the two months of events in my mind and she gets frustrated until she's yelling at me over the phone, "It's all RIGHT THERE IN THE DOC I sent, can't you read it? Why is this so hard?" and I kneejerk answered, "If this is the same way you talked to my mom that time, it is DEFINITELY yelling."
She abruptly hung up on me and I got a text, "Just read what I sent and then go to hell." I wrote back "I'm not sure why you think that tone of voice is ever helpful" and got radio silence.
We have normal life yesterday. I go to work. I pick up kids. I make dinner. I mow the yard. Every time I want to peel away to relax since it's been solid since I woke up, I am told how much stuff there is still to do. So I help trim the dogs. I help get springtime plants ready. I think, "I am only useful as someone who performs tasks here. I am a robot." (This is also a theme in my on-again off-again journals.) Finally go to bed.
This morning I am NO SOONER AWAKE than she starts in with how the other day I criticized how she talks to my mom and how she has THANKLESSLY done ALL THIS STUFF TO HELP ME OVER THE YEARS and in return she gets tone-policed and she doesn't appreciate it and the hell with everything and she'll just stop trying to help if that's my reaction. I have no response at that point (I am literally horizontal still, and it's pre-coffee) so I shower and go downstairs w/out saying anything.
We get into it a bit this morning. I try to get across the point that her helping out IS appreciated and what's NOT appreciated is raising her voice and being abrasive and I don't want to be spoken to like that. (Anymore.) She just gets louder, which is ironic, and goes back into how... well... something. I honestly don't remember because in not my finest hour I ended up doing a duck beak with my hand and muttering "blah blah blah." It goes over as well as you'd expect, but I swear to god it was more of how she's a victim because I told her I don't want to get yelled at. That more or less ended the conversation after 15 minutes of back and forth.
Throughout it though I kept trying to rephrase stuff to make it clear and she kept whatabouting. I pointed out "A week ago I told you I didn't want to sit there and be yelled at and you said 'Oh I'm sorry your highness,' do you remember that?" (This actually happened.) She said? "Keep your voice down, people will hear you." I was actually pumping up a bike tire in the garage at that point to help her with today's plans that SHE had made. (She opened the door to ask if I had anything I wanted to say. I said it. ONOZ KEEP YOUR VOICE DOWN. Why did you ask me then?)
She reiterated that it's not HER fault that I get triggered by this tone, and EVERY time she does this I "take it personally." I said "I don't take it PERSONALLY, I don't like to be yelled at!" and asked, "So if you help with things then you get free license to yell at me whenever you want?" And -- finally!! -- the answer to that question is, it turns out, yes.
Some points:

• We have seen a marriage counselor various times over the years.
• She wants me to be more open - more communication and feedback.
• But not THAT KIND OF communication, I guess.
• And definitely not about her or things that upset me.

tl;dr:

Wife gets upset and raises her voice and her attitude is "That's how I talk, get used to it." I get upset and raise my voice and her attitude is "Why are you so angry? You have issues, you need to talk to a therapist." (Which I do, actually.) I finally called her out on her yelling and got - surprise - yelled at for it.

So that's a giant spew of stuff. I've tried to be as neutral as possible.
I'm absolutely empty. I am feeling buried under so many responsibilities and they seem to keep piling on. The one person who is supposed to be there for me is treating it like some gigantic unappreciated favor. I voice negative thoughts or try to set boundaries (difficult for me for many reasons) and get shut down or dismissed. I had to call in sick this morning, since I feel so... well... Idunno. But I'm so much of it that I created a throwaway account to post here. I feel like crying but can't.
I guess the meds have helped, I'm not feeling self-destructive. I just want to not feel so shitty about trying to stand up for myself.

Hi. Just got off the phone with Nelnet. Verified my address, told me they aren't sure the amount but then i re-read the letter and at the bottom it says: consolidation will be forwarded to your new servicer rather than refunded to you.
When I checked my Studentgov account on my AI Loan, the detail says canceled -2,000. The other AI loan detail says canceled -1,167. Both say Paid-in-Full by Consolidation.
I don't believe I'll receive a re-fund, but again, it's only the beginning of this situation, nobody doesn't know a real answer just yet. HOWEVER, I'm just assuming I won't get a refund because it was Paid-in-Full by Consolidation.

Hi just encountered a case of the driver trying to scam the $4 cancellation fee by accepting the trip but not moving during the wee hours of the morning, I only realised he’s not moving past the 3min grace period, how should I deal with this, don’t want to give the $4 but want to get home also

2020 met a girl, fell in love. She made me chase her so much, but the feeling I felt was a first so I did it. Later broke up because I felt like she was not in the relationship and caring/putting in effort, but gave her an excuse. 7 months later was heart broken and felt dumb and saw she was with someone new. "Won her back". She then moved in and later cheated with that same guy. Admitted she cheat in all past relationships. Admitted she would use marriage for her financial security and to gain immigration status in the country. I forgave her always because I just couldnt picture life without her. I also set up a process to help her immigration.
Eventually I broke and broke up with her after the cheating was so blatant and the disregard for my feelings was too much. She denied, then lied, then insulted, then tried to say its not a big deal. Did not kick her out, but she spent 6 weeks in my home. She told me I was an asshole for not helping her find a place. She manipulated me so much and made me feel loved and also so small and unloved.
We had a pet and tried to share it, but she was neglectful in her duties and disrespectful of my time and so I told her I keep the pet and will continue helping with the immigration. If not for the pet I would have possibly cut her off then and there at the break up.
I asked her to leave me alone and deal with the people direct. She did not. Eventually I had to block her.
Months later she saw a friend and told them to pass on that she misses me. This hurt so much to hear. I then found out she has a new partner. I saw in photos them doing exact same things we did. It sent me into a deep depression.
Everything I supressed surfaced.
I think decided to cancel the help she was getting. This does not guarantee it, but means she may be sent out of the country in the coming months/year. If I canceled the help a year ago she may have still had a chance. She still does have a chance if I allow them to provide her a document, but I requested they do not.
She showed up at my home and I almost had a panic attack, but held it together. She kept knocking and I ignored till she left. Then she went to my parents home. They sent her away too.
I feel great that I did not succumb to her presence. I have often been weak to it.
I am afraid I will regret this. I have never gotten revenge before on anyone or been petty

So I was overpaid over several months by a previous employer in the last financial year. Before I left, I brought this to their attention, and after multiple recalculations as they kept getting the total overpayment wrong, we agreed on a total gross amount due. They began collecting small fractions of the gross overpayment from my subsequent gross monthly salaries (so that any excess tax/NI/deductions taken during the overpayment period would cancel out over time).
The deductions continued until I left the job recently. Before I left, I asked that they calculate the remaining overpayment in Net so I can pay out of pocket over several months. Didn’t hear back until I left, and now asking that I repay the remaining gross rather than net.
So spoke to them, after several confusions, they advised that I repay the gross and they’ll write to HMRC for a refund on any excess tax and NI. I spoke to HMRC to check that this was something HMRC could do, but they didn’t seem to understand and asked that I write them a letter with my payslips so they can investigate. This seems useless as the payslips and p45 would only show how much I was paid and not how much I should have been paid.
Considering I’m no longer an employee, sheer payroll incompetence and slowness to respond, I struggle to trust them to push HMRC for tax/NI refund if I repaid the gross.
After all this was their error in the first place, so I believe they should take on the responsibility of recuperating the tax and NI so I only pay back the Net.

Hey fellow Roovians…it’s been so long! This will be similar to my last post from 2023 as usual!

I’m still working as an associate attorney for Mitchell & Mitchell, and have been practicing almost 3 years now doing exclusively criminal work.

I am really excited to carry on the tradition of helping this community of wonderful Redditors by giving information…and I’ll answer what questions I can! I believe that I can be a voice for your questions and concerns, as well as the voice and contact person for my LOCAL firm here in Middle Tennessee.

In my 2023 post, I mentioned that I am a long-time attendee of Bonnaroo. This will be my 12th consecutive year! As a somewhat newly licensed attorney, I can answer most of your questions, and if I cannot I have been given explicit permission from the managing partner of my firm to relay questions that I am unsure of directly to him and give you the best and most accurate information. Although I am new as an attorney (3 years officially last month), I’m in an extremely unique learning and working situation, as my supervising attorney, Jack Mitchell, has been practicing locally in criminal defense for over 30 years. That’s in addition to having a great working relationship with the district attorney assigned to Bonnaroo cases.

I wanted to continue the tradition of this post because I do believe that people on this sub get some good benefit from it and share details of the process for handling charges that can change from year to year. This is a place to ask questions you may have, and I will try to answer everything I can (and if not, I will do my best to get the answer for you). As someone who loves attending Bonnaroo and being part of the community there, I hope you don’t need this information, but it is here in case you do.

The current elected District Attorney brought changes to the way criminal charges resulting from the festival were handled. In years past, criminal citations and charges were treated differently during Bonnaroo. Those who caught charges (defendants) were sent a letter from the District Attorney’s Office and the Court Clerk indicating that with the payment of a fine, the charges would be dismissed or retired after a certain period of time. The more serous the offense, the larger the fine assessed.

The last several years, criminal charges resulting from Bonnaroo were supposed to be treated the same as every other crime in Coffee County. However, what we found is that the process for festival offenses is still much different than the process used the rest of the year, and we expect more of the same this year.

What does this mean for you? If you are arrested or cited for any criminal offense while you are in Coffee County for Bonnaroo, you will have to make regular court appearances (REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE CITING OFFICER TELLS YOU) or have a licensed attorney appear on your behalf, and you will be prosecuted through the justice system. It’s annoying, for sure, but if you don’t show, and don’t have permission to not appear, the penalties could increase.

Probably the best advice we could give you when dealing with law enforcement is to exercise your right to remain silent. Along with this, you should not willingly consent to the search of your person, bags, vehicle, or campsite (other than when you enter the tollbooths). An officer may go ahead and search anyway, but giving consent immediately removes any chance of suppressing the contraband they find.

We understand that sometimes unfortunate things happen, and at Bonnaroo it is usually a case of bad luck and timing rather than bad people or actions. The major benefit of retaining an attorney with knowledge of the system is most of the leg work and negotiation can be done prior to the first time you are required to be in court. For most of our clients in past years, they were only required to make one court appearance, and for others (depending on the charges and criminal history) we were able to completely avoid the need for their appearance in court. Almost everyone we represented in past years was able to keep the conviction off their record and have their charges expunged.

Last year there were only a little over 20 arrests made. The number of citations given was also significantly low for the number of people attending. An assistant district attorney told me this information and stated those numbers will absolutely be different this year. So I wanted y’all to be very aware of that!

**TLDR:*\* while this whole post is informative, basically this is about Coffee County’s Bonnaroo citation procedures and helpful information

I had a 100 GB Google One plan on an annual basis, set to renew and charge me in August.
A week or so ago, I saw the offer for a free two-month preview of the AI Premium Plan. I wasn't very interested, but I figured sure, why not try the free preview, and then I can just cancel at the end. That's presumably the whole point-- to get disinterested people to try it, and maybe some will like it and pay to stick around. I signed up, put a note in my calendar to cancel in two months, and thought that was that.
Turns out it's NOT two months and then you go back to normal. It's two months and then I'd have to downgrade to the plan I previously had, starting in July, not August. I'd get screwed out of about three weeks of the plan I had previously paid for-- not much, but that's not the point.
I've gone back and forth with Google One over email about this-- as early as the day after I signed up for the preview. They can't/won't simply undo the preview and put things back to the way they were before. They offered as a courtesy to give me extra storage for free for a month or so to make up for that gap-- but the whole rigamarole involves so many complicated, confusing steps that I shouldn't have to deal with. All I did was sign up for a free preview! You don't do a free preview offer that makes things more complicated for the customer or throws things off. I never, ever would've signed up for the free preview if I'd thought it would involve a stupid complicated back-and-forth customer service exchange. All this did was create a mess I have to clean up.
I know other people have posted similar things. I'm posting it too because I want to add to the chorus of voices-- both to warn people away and to publicly shame Google into dropping this deceptive nonsense. This is an awful way to treat customers. If I can get away with not using Google One at all going forward, I'm going to do that; if not, I'm going to never, ever even consider trying anything more than the bare minimum with them.

Timeline: 8th May- appointment (last slot of the day) 9th May - application transferred from Bangalore to Delhi 10th May - application reached Embassy in Delhi 11th and 12th weekend 14th May - end of the day received information that visas have been dispatched (late evening) 16th May - received the passports with visa
Note: - our first Schengen on a new (renewed) passports - not a very strong past history of international travel but we followed strict adherence to the documents listed in the application - we had asked for a single entry visa as we had learned that single entry visa is a better option for first Schengen but we got a multiple entry - VFS was smooth for the most part. If you’re applying as a family (husband wife in our case with our passports carrying this info), we didn’t need to attach each other’s documents. We had carried the prints but the VFS person removed it saying that it’s not needed for family. While our applications were different they were placed in the same folder and treated as one. - in case you want separate updates, make sure to sign two forms at the counter. We had opted for the courier and SMS for the both of us and in the form we had mentioned both of our numbers and email IDs but only the primary applicant was getting notified (though it was for both). Just thought of highlighting it here. - If your documents are sorted, you can skip the premium service. The wait time was hardly anything - VFS had increased the SMS service and courier price so while we had paid for them during the appointment booking, we had to pay more at the counter. - also it worked for some people but for us neither the application number nor the passport number worked as a reference to check on BlueDart’s website so eventually we had to call VFS to share the AWB no which they very kindly did
I would highly recommend keeping your itinerary simple and concise and support that with your accommodation. When we were preparing the itinerary, we worked towards making it the final draft. Most people I spoke with said that it’s common to cancel everything once you get the visa and replan the itinerary but we neither had the patience nor the willingness to run into any issues, considering the scenarios at the border authority. And I can’t say for sure but keeping it to just one country also helped in the quick response.

So I've posted a lot of times on this subreddit, and a part of that is because I haven't fully fleshed out the details of my world; I had a basic idea of what I wanted my world to look like, the types of magic I wanted to be there, and the world in which I wanted that magic to occur. I'm someone who likes grinding down on my magic system until it makes sense, so I haven't really been able to focus on writing my actual story, although in fairness I've tied up a few plot threads. Now, I think I have a genuine final product and can actually start writing my story. So here it goes.
FUNDAMENTALS
The three fundamental forces in my universe are Dream, Spark, and Sacrifice. Dream is the product of the underworld, Sacrifice resides in the domain of the living, and Spark is the energy that binds and separates the two worlds. I'm very fascinated by the idea of making a sacrifice, or the spilling of blood in many cases, being necessary for dreams to come true.
Dream, in this context, is imagination, memory, past, future, desire, fear, all that does not yet exist but existed or has the potential to exist. The fuel of Dream is memory, because a dream that is not remembered, even subconsciously, is one that ceases to exist, and Dream tends to absorb memory.
Sacrifice, in this context, has a more neutral meaning than we're used to; it only means a change in the mortal realm, mental or physical, that initiates the coming to life of a dream. Think of a mother, who sacrifices or is made to sacrifice her body for 9 months to give birth to the dream of a child, the possibility made real by the change in the mother's physical circumstance. Or an empire; someone dreamed of it, but they needed to spill blood to bring it into fruition. The blood and death, not the action, is the sacrifice, and that sacrifice brings life to a dream.
Spark, broadly, is energy. From a metaphysical perspective, it is the energy that carries out a sacrifice and, using that sacrifice, brings Dream into existence. Two people needed to perform the action of intercourse for the mother who gives birth to a child to have made a sacrifice; the act of intercourse induces the sacrifice, which is the state of pregnancy. To go back to the empire example, you need to perform the act of stabbing or shooting a bunch of people, or if you're not into all out war, the act of slitting the throat of the king, for instance. The act induces the sacrifice, which is death, which enables the dream to come true. But more broadly, spark is literally energy, the force that makes the planet move, the sword to swing, the fire to burn.
The child of Dream and Spark is Will. Will is consciousness, the ability to make something happen, to manipulate energy to accomplish a purpose, to make the dream come true.
The combination of all three, Dream, Spark, and Sacrifice, is what creates life, a physical manifestation of the Will; this is what makes life special above all other things. When in your physical body, the Will is bound by that body because the body created by Dream, Spark, and Sacrifice creates a barrier that the Will cannot cross, which is why almost no one can manipulate energy on their own. Once you die, you either cross into the Underworld, the land of dreams, or a Sacrifice in the form of emotional connection interacts with the Will to block it from returning to the Underworld, binding you to the Mortal Realm, making you a ghost, a will that exists in the Mortal Realm but without a physical body usually cannot perceive the world except for other Wills, trapping spirits stuck in the Mortal Realm in their own memories unless they can use the body of another as a host.
The exception to the binding of the Will to the body is through Dream; when you dream, your Spark transfers your will to the Underworld, where all dreams live. Spark has a natural magnetism towards the Underworld, and the Will has a natural attraction to Spark, meaning when you're asleep, Spark is no longer bound by consciousness and is able to take the Will to its natural home before waking. As I said before, dreams are fueled by memory, so when you dream, the Underworld is slowly taking memories from you until you wake up, meaning that most people forget most of what they dream about.
The Mortal and Immortal Realms are separated by a substance in the air known as Valin Steel, which has the effect of cancelling out any binding effect of a sacrifice, detaching Spark energy from the physical form it is bound to, causing it to by default return to the Immortal realm. When Spirits are summoned from the Immortal Realm to the Mortal Realm, that creates a disturbance which causes Valin Steel particles to form into visible chunks of a metallic substance stronger than normal steel. Valin Steel is particularly dangerous because of its combustibility, with only a small amount of exposure to fire being sufficient to cause explosions that can level neighborhoods if not cities with just a few pounds of material.
One other reaction is that of the Will interacting with the physical world. The Will generates Spark, and when it is not bound to a physical body but is still bound to the Mortal Realm, that Spark, when a spirit uses it to manipulate the Mortal world, sinks into and irradiates any material under it, which creates a substance called Emanation, which contains certain levels of Spark, which means it can be combined with other ingredients to induce specific magical effects when the solution makes contact with something; Emanation is thus the basis for all magical potions.
MAGIC
As I said, the Will of a living being cannot cross past or alter that body, but when a living thing dies, while most go to the Underworld, some are trapped here, without a body to bind the Will. Unbound, a spirit's Will allows them manipulate the Spark, and this forms the source of all magic in this world; the key to using magic, therefore, is developing some type of relationship or having a pre-existing relationship with a spirit. Without any sacrifice, spirits can use telekinesis, lightning generation and manipulation, and thermokinesis. Because Spark forms the basis of cognition, spirits can enter your brain and steal your thoughts and memories, share thoughts and memories by imparting them to the being they're passing through, essentially able to impart "suggestions" that, in their strongest form, can act as a form of hypnosis.
Spirits can also briefly possess creatures, but bodies are generally not equipped to handle two sparks in a single host. A spirit possessing a body would cause every part of that body to want to move, and having two sparks in one body can end up killing the host because without constant movement the extra spark ends up just absorbing oxygen from the air for stimulation. This is why when possession occurs it is usually only for brief periods, like a minute or so. The exception is if people learn certain war dances which allow them to use their whole bodies, they can be possessed, therefore possessing the power of spirits, for a much longer time; they have to keep dancing to maintain the stability, and this form of magic use has given birth to multiple martial arts styles based on encircling and constantly barraging your opponent; some of the arts are called Sand-Dancing, Water-Dancing, and Mud-Dancing, all based on using bouts of telekinesis to quickly harness easy to manipulate materials to overwhelm opponents (the inspiration for these martial arts styles would be Capoeira; Capoeira is extremely effective and allows for constant movement).
So the biggest fuel for my magic system is the issue of perception. Most people can't remember visiting the Underworld, most people can't see beyond their bodies, most people cannot see ghosts in the Mortal Realm, and most ghosts cannot see the Mortal Realm because they don't have a physical body with which they can perceive. This creates a situation where, while anyone can use magic because most people can develop some type of connection with spirits, it is difficult in practice for most to do so.
But some people are born with, or in rare cases develop, a unique bond with dream, giving them some or all of these abilities. Really creatives, people with certain mental disorders, or people born from uniquely difficult circumstances that required sacrifice, usually on the part of the mother, that is greater emotionally or physically than what would otherwise be expected, are more connected to Dream, and are therefore more able to perceive it beyond just their physical senses. This represents around 10% of the population; a strong sign of one of these abilities is lucid dreaming, because it means you are able to navigate the Underworld while not having your memories stolen, meaning you can essentially access the dream world whenever you sleep, or if you're trained whenever you want. Seeing spirits in the mortal realm is rare; around 2% of people have the ability, and it's really useful because spirits have the ability to manipulate energy but can't perceive the world around them, meaning that you can make a deal with a spirit for them to lend you their services in exchange for lending your body to them. Another rare ability is astral projection, which comes hand in hand with the ability to perceive the Mortal Realm as a spirit because both involve the ability to perceive the world beyond your physical body. So these ghosts, unlike others, are under normal circumstances essentially autonomous because they can perceive the world around them, meaning they can interact with the world without the constraints of a physical body. These are usually the deadliest types of spirits.
In order to change the nature of something, you need a sacrifice and a spirit must provide the spark necessary to activate that sacrifice. There are three different types of sacrifices:

1. White Sacrifices, which are made by causing mental anguish or connection. This sacrifice is necessary for two purposes; to create and bind someone to a magical oath which makes it so such an oath cannot be broken as long as the person bound to the oath remains bound, or to create a magical bond between two or more beings, allowing those bonded with each other to communicate telepathically, to perceive events through each other’s eyes, to share memories, and when one dies, to share a living body.
2. Red Sacrifices, which are made simply by spilling blood. This sacrifice is necessary to transform the physical form of one thing into another form. For instance, to transform an inanimate object into another inanimate object, one must coat that object with their own blood, and have a spirit activate that blood sacrifice by using their spark. Typically, Red Sacrifices involve shedding one’s own blood to change their physical form; when Red Sacrifices are activated, their form changes. When transforming into a form larger than themselves, the spell will cause a person to absorb the soft matter (water, sand, dust, mud, etc.) around them to gain mass, and when transforming into a form smaller than themselves, they shed mass in the form of “Formsand”, which they can then use to transform into their original form. This sacrifice can be permanently imbued as an ability to change into a specific form and back using tattoos made from emanation; the process of tattooing spills the blood necessary for a blood sacrifice, and the specific ingredients, the placement of the ink, and the Will of the tattooer and the tattooed determine the specific form they turn into. Descendants of those who shape shift inherit some of the characteristics of the altered forms of their parents.
   1. Some animals have also evolved ways of using Red Sacrifices to give themselves enhancements, such as the ability to breathe fire.
3. Black sacrifices, which are made by taking a life. This sacrifice is necessary to bind spirits of the dead to a physical form. The target spirit can perform or activate the sacrifice, but if the target spirit is one that the magic user wishes to control, another spirit has to make and activate the sacrifice. This can be used for a variety of purposes, including permanently binding spirits to a physical object and forcing it to do the bidding of the user, and permanently binding a spirit to a dead corpse, giving them new life in a new body.

Spellcasting is the act of giving spirits you are bound to instructions to perform an action. Basically, spirits recognize certain words as commandments to perform an action based on what they've learned; the more people that recognize a specific word as a specific command, the more potent that spell becomes. Spellcasting in the context of telepathic acts is often performed with songs or poetry, with certain phrases being used as a form of hypnotism as the melodic effect coincides with the spirits placing ideas in your head; this also happens to act as a sort of work-around to the requirement of possession for mind control because the spirit doesn't need to channel their energy through the whole body, just the mind, and they don't need to completely enter the person's body to influence them; this allows some magic users to cross the line from hypnotism into genuine mind control.

So, I'm not entirely sure what my goal is with this post. One thing I know for certain is that it will be very long, and probably sort of jumbled and frantic, more stream of consciousness than anything. I guess I just sort of wanted to share some of the important realizations I've had in recent months, and see if: 1. Other people think that they're fair or "correct" realizations, and I'm not becoming, like, delusional or something. 2. Maybe my sharing these perspectives will help or inspire someone else who has struggled in ways similar to me.
So, here's the basic background of things. I've always been a really reserved and quiet person, ever since I was a little kid. Add in being skinny and nerdy for most of my life, and maxing out at a height of 5'9", and I'm not exactly a hot product for the average girl my age (19, turning 20 in a few weeks). In fact, I'd never had a relationship until this past year in college, but I'll get more into that in a minute. Hell, I hadn't had so much as a first kiss until this past year, either.
And, at the beginning of this past school year, being my second year of college (as a commuter student, so socializing is pretty difficult), I began to really get down on myself for having never been in a relationship, never kissed a girl, being a virgin, etc. It started to really take a toll on my mental health, because I believed that there was something intrinsically wrong and unlovable about me. Whereas a lot of young men who struggle socially romantically seem to be directing their sadness, frustration, and anger outward toward the world, especially toward women, I instead found myself directing those feeling toward myself. I was convinced that, on a basic level, there was some vital component to who I am as a person that disqualifies me from being worthy of love or affection. After all, that's what 19 years of evidence suggest, right?
Looking back, I think a large component in this was how I had been struggling, and still struggle to a degree, with my identity as a young man. I'm naturally a pretty progressive person, and I make an effort to be open to the perspectives of other groups and listen to their stories. Unfortunately, as we all know, a lot of people have been harmed by the men in their lives. And I know, I know: if I'm not doing anything wrong myself, then I shouldn't take any of these stories personally.But I guess, given the poor mental state that I was already in, I took it as validation that there was in fact something intrinsically wrong about me, and that thing was being a man. I started to avoid people on the street, especially if they were a woman or presented as feminine. At work, I avoid going anywhere near female customers, out of fear of making them uncomfortable. I'd keep my head down walking from class to class on campus, worried that I might make someone uneasy with my gaze. It wasn't that I thought I was a threat; in fact, I knew that I was not. But I also knew that the people around me didn't know that. In their eyes, maybe they have to assume that I'm a creep or that I'm a dangerous type of man. And it hurt to realize that, and I realize now, like I said, that I took it as validation that there was something intrinsically wrong with me.
Due to that, as well as other factors, such as stress and exhaustion from overworking (I'm a full-time student and work about 30 hours a week, which is a lot for me, might not be for others, I admit), I experienced some of the worst periods of depression I've ever had, since being diagnosed with it and anxiety in 2021. I tried going to therapy. I went to a few sessions, then gradually started missing more and more due to a lack of time, until my therapist cancelled all of our scheduled future sessions. It was on me. I wasn't committed.
I lost my passion for my hobbies and interests, like creative writing, which had previously been an important emotional outlet for me. A lot of nights would be spent lying in bed, listening to a playlist filled with sad music and hugging a pillow, wishing it was someone who loved me in the way that I thought, or hoped, love would work.
At the behest of my friends, to whom I only presented my issues as being a little down about never having been in a relationship, I started messing around with dating apps. At first, I felt good about making some sort of effort to put myself out there. Like I said, I've always been insanely reserved, so doing something like making a dating profile felt like an accomplishment. Of course, nothing much came of it. Over the five or so months that I was on the app, I maxed out at about six likes on my profile, and only matched with two people.
But one of those two people was a girl who went to the same college as me, and we seemed to have a lot of interests in common. And I mean a lot. To the point that it was almost comical. Of course, I realize now that having some hobbies in common isn't enough to form a good relationship with someone, but I realize now that I was just desperate for someone who I could convince myself halfway-tolerated me. She and I started to go out, and after a while, we decided to make things "official." My first kiss. My first relationship. My first girlfriend.
It lasted for only a few months. After a while, something felt off. I wasn't as excited to see her as I had been before. It was hard for us to make time for each other, between my working and her being involved in extracurricular stuff around campus. Car rides and dates began to be filled with longer and more frequent stretches of awkward silence, as I tried to think of something to say or talk about, only to come up empty-handed. As we got to know each other better, I realized that we didn't have as much in common as I first thought. She was a little more conservative, not necessarily in a political sense, but more in terms of "status", if that makes sense. I learned that financial success was very important to her parents, and I could tell that it was important to her, too. She avoided telling her parents that I was an English major, instead opting to tell them that I was getting a degree in computer science, as that was my minor at the time. It seemed to me that the status of a relationship was more important to her than the quality of the relationship (pot calling the kettle black, yes, I realize). For example, there was a dance on campus that she wanted to go to, pretty much just to take pictures of the two of us together so she could show them to friends and family. But as for the dance itself, it was more of the same that had been happening before: awkward silence, short conversations, lots of looking around at anything other than each other.
After a while, I decided that, for both of our sakes, I needed to break things off. I didn't want to waste her time when I knew that my heart wasn't in it anymore. So, at the beginning of April, I drove over to her dorm, and we talked it over in my car for a while. At the end, we hugged one last time, and I haven't seen her since.
I think a key component in the decision I made is the fact that I reconnected with some old friends from high school, who are still local, even though they are going to another university. Over Christmas break, I hung out with them for the first time since the pandemic as, during that time, I ended up having a falling out with them over some dumb high school drama and political differences. To my surprise, they had changed a lot, and had managed to pull themselves out of the incel trajectory that I had seen them beginning to fall down during high school. They were kinder, more accepting people. My surprise was matched only by my pride in them. I had feared and assumed the worst of them, and I couldn't have been happier to be proven wrong. Since then, I've been invited back into their group chats, and I see them in-person with some regularity, when our schedules allow it.
I think having that connection made me feel more comfortable with the idea of being single again, and since the break up, I've been able to rely on them for support, laughs, and just feeling like I have somewhere I belong. Before, I found myself desperate for any kind of connection and fell into a cycle of denying myself that connection because I was convinced that, since it didn't just present itself, I wasn't worthy of it.
And maybe it has something to do with that, but on the drive home from my now-ex's dorm (though I still wonder if I should/could really call her an ex. Sure, we agreed to make things "official", but we still only dated for a few months), I felt my perspective on, well, at the risk of sounding over-dramatic or overly romantic, everything, being to change.
And I guess that's what the title of this post is about. The things I've begun to realize in the time leading up to and following that break-up.
Above all else, I've realized the importance of connection. If I didn't have a stable friend group again, I don't know where I'd be. Probably still in a stale relationship, clinging on and trying to convince myself that I'm not feeling the way that I'm feeling. I have people to talk with again, to confide in when I feel stressed or depressed. I go out and do things again, which I didn't realize I hadn't really done very much since the pandemic.
But I know that for a lot of people who are/were in the position I had been in, finding friends is difficult. If it weren't for my unique circumstances of being reunited with an old, estranged group of friends, I would absolutely be in the same position. I still really struggle with social anxiety, and talking to new people is a huge struggle for me. So, I've also had some realizations that don't have as much to do with the friendship side of things, and I hope that these can be of some use to people who also struggle with social anxiety.
I know that the idea of "working on yourself" is cliche and overused, so I won't frame it exactly like that. In my opinion, saying it like that makes it sound too daunting and tedious, and having been in those dark, dark places myself, I know that it was the last thing I wanted to hear. So, instead, I like to think of it this way. It's more like living in spite of your circumstances. Over the course of this past year, I essentially shut my life down, because I was so convinced that there was no point, because I felt that I knew that I would never be loved or accepted. Now, I feel an urge to go on living for myself, almost in direct spite of the fear that I may be forever alone. It's a fear that I still deal with, and who knows, maybe things will end up that way.
And, I suppose, that leads into my main realization, which is sort of an extension/restatement of the last one, now that I think about it. I now feel the desire to accumulate enough in my life, to reach a point where I am satisfied enough, that I can rest knowing that I will be okay, with or without a relationship. Before, my self-worth was almost entirely attached to my relationship status, and my lack of romantic experience. Now, I realize that a relationship can only come when I don't need it, or at least don't feel that I need it. Being a huge nerd and a writer, I think a lot about quotes from books, shows, movies, and games that have stuck with and there's one from God of War: Ragnarok that comes to mind here (by the way, I actually highly recommend playing or watching a playthrough of God of War 2018 and Ragnarok if you've struggled with masculinity in the same way I have, the music and cutscenes from those games have actually helped to pull me out of some mental spirals about my self-worth and identity as a man). It comes from a scene in which Kratos confronts his younger self, and is trying to decide if he is willing/ready to be a god again:
"Should I lose everything and everyone, will there still be enough left inside so that I do not become you? I do not know. But I have hope."
It's a quote that resonates with me now more than ever (even though it's from a DLC that just came out around Christmas, lol). I know now that I want to get to a place where there is enough left inside me that I know I'll never fall into that dark mental state again.
Something else that I've noticed has happened is the return of my passions for my hobbies and interests, especially for writing. I don't want to sound too arrogant, but I think I've begun to realize an important goal for my writing. If I'm lucky enough, I want to be able to write and release stories that explore masculinity and isolation, and, if I can, I want to create stories that can help guide other young men and boys who have struggled in the way I have and continue to do. I want to create characters who serve as positive male role models, who are emotionally strong, intelligent, and kind. I want to write stories of personal redemption, and show that no one is truly ever too far gone to be able to recover. If my writing could help even just one person who is struggling, then I would consider my career to be a success.
At the risk of being too cheesy, I'd like to end this very long-winded post with another quote, this one from a YouTube channel I recently discovered, and one I would highly recommend to just about anyone: Cinema Therapy. It's from their video about "A Silent Voice", which also happens to be one of my favorite movies, and one of my main inspirations when it comes to the kinds of stories I want to tell.
"Depression doesn't go away, doesn't lift for most people. But there's a capacity to feel again. There's a capacity to feel joy. The cure for so many things is connection. And we may think 'no one want to connect with me.' But we just need to find the right people."
I think the only thing I would add to that is that, in my opinion, the connection can also be with yourself.

My (I/ENFP) boyfriend (INTP/J) and I broke up after five long years of a long-distance relationship. Some people think it's impossible to fall in love with someone you've never seen in person, but that wasn't the case for me. My INTP and I met online. I got an SMS from an unknown number that said, "Dear stranger, do you believe in second chances?" I was very intrigued at the moment and thought it was someone from my past who wanted to reconnect. Later on, I found out that he was indeed a stranger. I don't usually entertain messages from strangers, but there was something about him that made me want to keep replying. He sounded really depressed, like he was about to end his life. The Mother Teresa in me felt like I needed to save him.
So we talked and talked, but I was still mean to him because, you know, he was technically still a stranger. But we'd talk about all our problems, things we couldn't talk about with our family and friends, our deepest darkest secrets, etc. In my head, he didn't know me anyway. He prolly thought the same. We found comfort in each other.
After months of talking, we fell hard for each other. Really hard (at least for me). He was the best thing that ever happened to me. Yes, he was mostly very grumpy, but I found it cute! He was also the sweetest guy I’d ever met. He always wrote me love letters or dedicated songs to me. He was really vague, though! If there were things he couldn’t say directly to me, he’d find another way to send the message. As an ENFP, I am a very literal person, and unless you say it in exact words, even if I sense it already, I won't assume. It felt like I always needed to decode or solve a puzzle with him. I liked it, but not when dealing with serious issues. Still, he was the love of my life. But life gets in the way... We had the most beautiful, tragic love affair.
Anyway!!!
My INTP ex-boyfriend was a very private person. He didn’t have any social media (which I couldn't comprehend at first) and we only communicated through Skype or Telegram. I feel like I’ve never met an INTP in person or just couldn't spot one.
Where do INTPs hang out when they are not at home? I’m really curious. I think INTPs are awesome and I’d like to have more INTPs in my life.

I recently received a notice from collections agency that says we owe ~$17,000 in taxes, penalties, and interest for state income tax that was not paid in for tax year 2020. I created an account for the state tax agency, and confirmed that the bill is real, and not some sort of fraud.
There are 2 big problems with this 'bill':

• we never lived in the state during the year that says we owe taxes to them
  
• they were sending several notices to an address we never lived at
  

So now they say we are past the deadline to appeal, since we never "responded" to the notices that we never received. For the bill that we shouldn't have be given in the first place.
To be clear, we filed a tax return for 2020 and paid all federal, state and local taxes we owed for that year, on time, as usual. We have never had any other issues with tax returns previously.
We asked our tax return company to write a letter on our behalf stating the above information, and will send that to the state tax department.
Clearly this is an error made by the state tax department, but we now have to deal with the consequences. Wondering if anyone has any other advice or feedback from experiencing a similar situation?

Action Change Settings - To address button bloat, certain actions will be replaced by their follow-up counterparts on the same button upon use, instead of the follow-up actions being on a separate button. However, for those who would prefer it the old way, this setting allows you to choose whether or not those changing actions will be replaced by their follow-up counterparts.
Adjustments to Tanks

• Rampart and job-specific 30% damage reduction abilities will be upgraded in the 90s level range
• Reprisal’s duration will be increased to 15 seconds in the 90s level range

Paladin

• The second and third executions of Atonement have been changed to new actions with separate animations (the Atonement button will change to these actions automatically, so button presses will remain the same)
• A new action that can be executed after Blade of Valor will be added
• In order to execute Goring Blade, you will need to have Fight or Flight activated

Warrior

• A new action, which can be executed after three executions of Fell Cleave or Decimate while Inner Release is active, will be added
• A new action that can be executed after Primal Rend will be added
• Visual effects and animation of Inner Chaos will be adjusted

Dark Knight

• To reduce the number of inputs during burst damage phases, Blood Weapon will upgrade into Delirium, and the effects of Blood Weapon will be added to Deliirium
• A new action that can be executed after Living Shadow will be added

Gunbreaker

• A new action that can be executed after Fated Circle (via Continuation) will be added
• A new 3-step combo that can be executed after Bloodfest will be added (no cartridge cost)

Adjustments to Melee DPS

• Second Wind’s potency will be increased in the 90s level range
• Feint’s duration will be increased to 15 seconds in the 90s level range

Monk

• Basic combo mechanics will no longer center around maintaining a buff or DoT; instead, performing actions in a certain order will increase the next action’s potency. Adjustments will be
• Can accumulate up to a total of ten chakra while Brotherhood is active, to prevent chakra overflow
• There will be a potency buff to Six-Sided Star if executed while you have ten chakra stacks

Dragoon

• To reduce positional requirements for the single-target combo, the 5th combo action has been changed to a new non-directional action, Drakesbane (Fang and Claw/Wheeling Thrust will change to Drakesbane, so input execution will remain the same
• To facilitate maximum damage output at the beginning of a battle, Life of the Dragon will be available without accumulating Dragon Gauge
• To reduce the number of inputs during burst damage phases, certain actions will be removed or adjusted

Ninja

• Huton’s effect has been moved to a trait and will always be active (Huton will be changed to an AoE attack which grants the effect of Hidden)
• Actions which extend the duration of Huton’s effect will be adjusted in accordance with the above change
• Due to these adjustments, the Windmill logo in the job gauge will be removed

Samurai

• To simplify recast management, Tsubame-gaeshi will be changed to be executable after Meikyo Shisui
• Hakaze, Tenka Goten, and Midare Setsugekka will be upgraded into new actions
• Traits will be added that shorten the recast time for Hissastsu: Guren and Hissastsu: Senei

Reaper

• Plentiful Harvest’s effect will no longer increase the Shroud Gauge by 50, and instead will allow execution of Enshroud (now can be used when gauge is at 51 or more without waste)
• A new action that can be executed while Enshrouded will be added
• Hells’ Ingress and Hell’s Egress will have reduced cool down when Enhanced Harpe is activated

Viper

• Link to Viper job overview and gameplay demonstration in the livestream
• A fast-paced job that fluidly shifts between dual-wield blades and double-bladed strikes
• Has a similar total number of actions as other jobs, but is designed so that fewer actions need to be set on the hotbar
• Executing actions will build a job gauge, which can then be expended in an enhanced “Awaken” phase
• When applying buffs to yourself as well as debuffs to the enemy, certain other actions will be enhanced depending on which buffs/debuffs are active
• In addition to close-range melee attacks, there are also some long-range attacks available should you need to fight from afar

Adjustments to Ranged Physical DPS

• Second Wind’s healing potency will be increased in the 90s level range
• Damage reduction of job-0specific defensive abilities will be increased to 15% in the 90s level range

Bard

• Mage’s Ballad, Army’s Paeon, and the Wanderer’s Minuet will be changed into buffing actions which do not attack enemies
• Pitch Perfect will be changed into an AoE attack for ease of use in encounters with multiple enemies
• Single-target and AoE procs (Straight Shot Ready/Shadow Bite Ready) will be merged into one proc for better ease of use

Machinist

• Barrel Stabilizer will no longer increase Heat Gauger by 50, and instead will allow execution of Hypercharge (can now be used when gauge is at 51 without waste)
• A new trait which accumulates charges for Drill will be added

Dancer

• A new action that can be executed after Flourish will be added
• A new action which consumes Esprit and can be executed after Technical Finish will be added
• Certain skills currently triggered by Standard Step may now be executed without having to go through the step actions

Adjustments to Magical Ranged DPS

• Swiftcast’s recast will be reduced to 40 seconds in the 90s level range
• Addle’s duration will be increased to 15 seconds in the 90s level range

Black Mage

• Various adjustments will be made to streamline certain aspects of the job, such as restoring MP upon landing ice spells while Umbral Ice is active, instead of passively over time
• A new action which repositions Ley Lines beneath the caster once will be added

Summoner

• Solar Bahamut, a new summon akin to Bahamut and Phoenix, will be added (new summon rotation will be: Solar Bahamut - Bahamut - Solar Bahamut - Phoenix)
• A new attack action that can be executed after Searing Light will be added
• Summoner will keep Resurrection for Dawntrail, but may have it removed in 8.0

Red Mage

• Manafication will no longer increase Black Mana and White Mana by 50, and will instead allow the execution of enchanted swordplay actions without cost (can now be executed while mana is at 51 or more without waste)
• The AoE enchanted swordplay combo beginning with Enchanted Moulinet will now consume a total of 50 Black Mana and White Mana, similar to its single-target counterpart
• Whenever Embolden is executed, an attack ability will be enabled

Pictomancer

• Link to Pictomancer overview and gameplay demonstration in the livestream (I found this job much easier to understand by watching the demonstration, BTW)
• Job actions centered around Aether Hue elemental attacks (Red = Flare, Green = Aero, Blue = Water) and Motifs (Creature, Weapon, and Landscape)
• Aether Hue attacks build a gauge that can be expended on White elemental Holy attacks as well as Subtractive Pallette, which upgrades your other elemental attacks to higher-potency elements.
• Creature Motif involves rendering parts of a creature (eg. a Moogle) via attacks that will eventually summon the creature for a higher-powered attack
• Weapon Motif is a fast triple-cast combo
• Landscape Motif is a longer-cast action that deals damage to enemy and grants buffs to self and party members

Adjustments to Healers

• Swiftcast’s recast time will be reduced top 40 seconds in the 90s level range

White Mage

• A new action allowing the caster to quickly move forward will be added
• A new AoE attack, which can be executed up to 3 times after Presence of Mind, will be added
• New trait that increases Tetragrammaton stack number will be added

Scholar

• Seraphism, a new action which changes the caster’s appearance and enhances healing magicks, will be added
• A new AoE attack that can be executed after Chain Stratagem will be added; it will include a DoT
• A new trait that reduces recast time for Recitation will be added

Astrologian

• The card system will no longer be RNG based, and will instead simultaneously draw cards with offensive, defensive, and curative effects
• Every 60 seconds, you can draw one set of four cards (divided under Lord of Crowns or Lady of Crowns), each card having different effects, and you can use the cards in that set depending on your situational needs
• Astrodyne will be removed with the discontinuation of astrosigns
• New trait that increases Essential Dignity stack number will be added

Sage

• Eukrasia will now enhance Dyskrasia II into Eukrasian Dyskrasia, an AoE attack which deals damage over time to enemies within range
• A new party buff, which heals party members whenever the caster casts a spell, will be added (basically a ranged version of Kardion, but will only be in effect for a limited amount of time)
• New trait that reduces the recast time of Soteria will be added

PvP Updates

• Benchmark software/graphics update: Some adjustments have been made based on feedback on the original benchmark. These include adjustments to lighting in the character creator, as well as corrections to graphical oddities in character models (addressing things like Keeper of the Moon Miqo’te teeth and Lalafell mouths/teeth). These adjustments will be incorporated into a new benchmark available for download, in addition to the game itself with Dawntrail. The problem: invisibility works as a *defensive* item. But it should be working as an aggressive item since invis is very predictable... here is a rework how to fix this:

1. nerfed invis to 10 seconds instead of 13

the problem I personally see here is clearly that simply 13 seconds will be too long after the rework...

1. (I call this invisibility cancel) invis will now expire after you will attack. But the first attack you will do will deal 25% more dm (maxed)

This is the core of the rework and will make invis a very skilled gear and also turn it into an aggressive gear. In addition to that it will boost the one shot weapons and the shotguns too

i (17F) had everything planned out i did all my research i had the letters written and no one was to come home for an hour. i marked up my wrist with a pen and took a single blade out but as i tried to cut deep into the radial artery i could do nothing but create superficial scratches which in themselves burnt so much. i have to die i can’t keep going but it hurts so much and i don’t want to deal with the pain. i sat in the bathtub for hours just wailing and wondering why i’m not even ballsy enough to take this final step. i have more than plenty of reasons to do it but i just can’t get myself to get the guts. is there any other less painless way

• Knows many melee weapon combat forms and has a lot of fist-fighting experience. After training and fighting in missions in a military unit for 3 years after graduation, he has learned to fight like a commando.

Personality: Rogert is a loner who was given the job of a leader despite not wanting it. He became more comfortable in the role over the years yet deep down never truly believed he should be a leader.
While a humble person, Roth has no illusions of his strengths and how powerful he can be when in battle.
Roth values loyalty and honesty, things he has shown to his team by having no secrets from them and has encouraged his team to do the same with great effect. Because of his values in honesty, Rogert does not forgive attempts to lie to him and tries to limit his words to be as truthful as possible.
Roth has a ruthless attitude when it comes to leadership and dealing with enemies. As a leader, Roth expects nothing but competence and giving 100% in combination with a firm chain of command and on-the-spot obedience.
Roth is a strong believer in learning and improving skills. Because of this, Roth has learned from his teammates the skills he lacked before meeting them and has instructed them to do the same.
Desiring always to have the upper hand, he learned to keep his emotions in check at all times and focused on his studies in his free time and school time. Other people often consider him emotionless, yet no one is willing to say it in his earshot, and he doesn´t mind this thought about him.
Rogert has mastered his emotions, and he can make decisions that would make other people disgusted with themselves be it torture or cruel punishments without flinching as he got older. While his team reminds him about his better nature and while his actions have never been directed against an innocent, Rogert believes he can´t afford to hesitate to act when many lives are at stake.
His team, REPR, has helped him loosen up, and he discovered his liking for playing the saxophone and driving. His team has helped him to become a better man than he thinks he needs to be as the years went by.
Facts about the character:

• Rogert prefers to be called Roth because the name is easier to pronounce, and he prefers a shorter name.
• Rogert put the team to vote during graduation on whether they should stick together as a group. Ultimately, the team was split up, yet REPR occasionally would help each other on big operations. He voted No, yet never said why, even when asked.
• Roth´s closest relationships are with his parents, Elena and Raina, and he thinks highly of Doctor Bartholomew Oobleck due to his teaching and wisdom.
• Originally intended to be a counter for Elm, an Ace Operative during early development phase.

Extra skills:

• Scholar: His lack of social interaction in his school years made Rogert focus more on his studies than on making friends. Due to this, he has gained a lot of knowledge and an interest in researching history and myths. Math skills and history were his best subjects, and he often likes to talk about both when asked.

I was a Lyca mobile customer starting March 2024. I was aware of their data leak last year, and when I signed up I created a virtual Monzo card just for the purchase, I even called the card LycaMobile and cancelled it afterwards. 2 days ago while I was travelling abroad, an American based merchant tried to take a payment from the cancelled virtual card, the next morning another American based merchant tried to take a payment aswell "World Market Ecomm".
I posted about this on a forum related to mobile deals and mobile broadband, and instantly found other users facing the same problem. There was another person on Twitter who also created a virtual card just for Lyca and had an attempted charge from the same company on the same day as me. I posted on the Monzo community forum in the Mobile Networks thread and found more users affected - with the same merchants attempting payments as me.
The only thing in common? They are all LycaMobile users

TRIGGER WARNING deals with suicide
So this summer I'm ending my life. Not here to discuss why I shouldn't as I have heard the arguments all before and to me its not changing.
What I am here for is advice on if I should write farewell letters. I'm making my suicide appear as a medically induced car accident as I suffer from occasional bouts of vertigo and I am planning on taking a double dose of medication when I am at a nearby town and crashing on the way back. When they do the blood toxin screen it will show my antivertigo meds and appear I had vertigo and crashed but that's neither here nor there just to give my question context.
Do I write generic farewell letters to my kids and exwife? For my kids just a summary of our current relationship and advice to them going forward in life. For my exwife telling her how she broke me and that I forgive her. I don't want to make it suspicious by leaving the letters and it casting suspicions that I killed myself but do want them to know even though they turned their backs on me that I still loved them and forgive them.
