2024.05.16 11:23 Last-Version-1989 How do I deal with toxic and lazy teammates?
During class activities, we had to complete worksheets, which posed several issues because my teammates did not listen in class. They often missed basic instructions on how to answer questions and submit assignments, communicated poorly during lessons, and handed in sloppy work. Despite this, they appointed me as the leader of a recent group project on mental health, even though I matriculated late.
The situation worsened when we had an assignment to interview someone for at least an hour on our chosen theme. I found a counselor from my school to interview, recommended by my teacher. My teacher said it was compulsory to include someone from my team in the interview, so I asked Guy A to join. Throughout the interview, I was surprised to see him being toxic and passive-aggressive in the group chat, especially considering he didn't seem to understand the assignments or know what to do.
During the interview, the counselor mentioned that I needed to email him officially first, but he would still answer some appropriate questions, and I would just have to email him for the approval after the interview. He did answer the interview questions provided by the teacher at the end.
While I was conducting the interview, Guy A was slandering me in the group chat and being passive-aggressive, which I wasn't aware of until I decided to check my telegram messages, instead of just talking in the call. I had to explain myself to the team while responding to the counselor. When I asked Guy A to ask questions, he sarcastically responded, "Oh, ask personal questions?" I was confused because I never asked personal questions; all my questions were related to the topic. The assignment required us to ask questions beyond those in the template, and I ensured all template questions were answered. Moreover, sometimes the counsellor would go a little off topic after a while and ask me about my other questions, which I guess Guy A couldn't understand or be patient enough for me to lead him back to the topic. By the way the interview was not more than an hour, which met the assignment requirements.
Guy A then claimed that the questions weren't related to the target audience or that it seemed like I was counseling the counselor, which was not true. It was frustrating because he didn't communicate his feelings during the call, and his passive-aggressive comments were childish. I noticed his messages 15 minutes into the interview, which was anxiety-inducing as I tried to manage the interview and address his comments simultaneously.
Additionally, another group member panicked, thinking she needed to join the interview, even though I had clarified that a minimum of two people was enough. I had to reassure her during the interview. When I asked Guy A if it was an appropriate time to end the interview, he responded with a meme, saying, "Nah, I'd win." I didn't understand what he meant, so I concluded the interview after covering most of the questions.
How am I supposed to communicate with teammates like this in the future? I don't understand what I did wrong. When Guy A was unsure about the assignment, despite the teacher explaining it multiple times, I explained the steps to him and shared screenshots of my conversation with the teacher.

2024.05.15 20:34 missdeb99912 Need advice and feedback - 8 yo speech therapy
Nephew is 8 and behind in reading and writing, and I believe he has CAS. He has speech therapy 3x a week at school. School SLP is 65 years old. We have asked her for guidance on additional therapy, and she has always been hesitant. She hasn’t shared things to do at home to help with speech issue — just sounds and reading worksheets. She said she thinks he has “weak” muscles. She even said he could be tested by a neurologist for motor issues?? I emailed her asking for guidance on next steps on testing and also on home activities. Also stressed what I’ve been learning about the importance of specialized therapy. This is the response. I don’t know how feel about this. What are everyone’s thoughts? For context, we are struggling finding providers as nephew lives in super rural area. What do we ask for, specifically?

2024.05.15 11:37 namisuaaan My daughter’s best friend’s mother seems to dislike my daughter
My DD is in kindergarten, since the beginning of this school year, my daughter and this girl in her class clicked and always seem to get along, holding hands together after school at pick up, my daughter always speaks positively about her and I also volunteer in the classroom occasionally and I never saw any issues between how they interact. My daughter also has several friends in her class from preschool/baby years she gets along with. One time, I volunteered, the girl had come up to me asked me if my daughter and her could have a play date, so I said of course, so I approached her daughter’s mom during pick up one day, about possibly setting up a play date and she quickly replied and said when the weather is warmer. I didn’t think anything of it at the time. Then I started noticing whenever my daughter is hugging goodbye to her friend, her mom seemed really uncomfortable would gesture her daughter to stop hugging and quickly walk away. My husband even noticed one time at pick up the mom was not so friendly to him when he tried to greet.
Later my daughter mentioned her friend’s mom volunteered in class and she was not being nice to her, that she kept talking to my daughter in firm voice, kind of made her sad. I said ok, well maybe she was trying to be professional.
Recently I received an email from the mother out of the blue (this is one of the first contact we’ve made) saying there was an incident during recess where my daughter was crying for her best friend when her friend was playing with other girls and she feels my daughter only likes to play with her and not include everyone else. In the email she asked if I could have a conversation with my daughter about making new friends. I was a little confused because the same day my daughter didn’t mention anything about the incident and said she was crying that day because she was upset about not being able to finish worksheet in class. I responded saying sorry about the incident and I’ll talk to her and the teacher.
I emailed the teacher asking about the incident to better understand the issue. The teacher responded short message saying they like to play together and that seems to be going okay. Her teacher and assistant teacher will monitor situation next few days and let me know if we need to action further. To me, the teacher didn’t really seem concerned of their behaviors, and when I ask my daughter about how she feels at recess and her friends, she doesn’t say she’s jealous or feeling sad and says she’s pretty happy playing. Of course at this age, I know a lot happens during the day and as they spend many hours together during the week at school so some days can be worse than others. I try to take my daughter’s words with a grain of salt. That said, I think my daughter is well socialized, she is involved in sports and other activities outside of school where she has social circle, she also has older sibling and she knows how to stand up for herself if needed.
Now I’m kind of feeling annoyed maybe the parent is just trying to manipulate the situation because she simply doesn’t like my daughter playing with hers for some reason. I’m disappointed for my daughter because this girl is her first best friend. I talked to her about making new friendships but my daughter just seems confused because she says she does play with other friends and even other friends from another class. How can I get my daughter to steer away from friend at this age? I don’t want any more trouble over nothing.

2024.05.15 09:00 Pomard Export sheets to pdf
Hello guys.
I have a code that creates X amount of sheets based on the amount of unique parts in a purchase order. Each sheet is limited to 50 units of that unique part, so if one part has over 50 units, it will create 2 sheets for that part, and will be named consecutively (For example: Nut, Nut (2), Nut (3), Bolt, Bolt (2), Bolt (3)).
I want to export every one of the sheets that refer to a unique part to a pdf file, which I accomplished with the folowing code:
For Each ws In ActiveWorkbook.Worksheets ws.ExportAsFixedFormat Type:=xlTypePDF, Filename:=
ws.Name & ".pdf" Next
Now, for the parts that have more than one sheet, it will create one pdf for each one, and I will have to fuse them later in acrobat.
Is there a way to check if there's more than one sheet that contains the same part (that information is present both in the name of the sheets and the content of it) in order to export those to only one pdf? I still want to export the parts that will have only one sheet, just to group the ones that refer to the same part.

2024.05.15 00:42 Right-Author-9923 Adrien agreste is significantly nerfed
Based on the storytelling, Adrien Agreste is a world fencing champion, winning tournaments. He is trained in many instruments, knows multiple languages, is smart in school studies, and has been taught an accelerated homeschool course. He is also one of the top scorers in his house, where getting an A- or B would get him chastised. This achievement is alongside his responsibilities as Chat Noir, his various photoshoots, and other extracurricular activities. Additionally, he is likely a highly trained martial artist who fights akumatized villains regularly.we also should remember feats like blocking wax hawkmoths attack in civillian form
Now that the lore is established, let's dive in:
- Despite being a high-level fencing champion and receiving training from fighting akumas and learning to disarm Monsieur D'Argencourt, his fencing teacher, Adrien has gotten worse at fencing. After her first appearance, he never won against Kagami on screen, and banter suggests he keeps losing.
- While Nathalie and Felix took on three akumas based on their skills, Adrien, who is a martial artist likely trained by Nathalie and other martial arts teachers in both fencing and other abilities, barely scrapes by in 1v1 fights. He hasn't pushed back or damaged an akuma alone.
- In "Gang of Secrets," Adrien gets overwhelmed while Ladybug doesn't.
- In "Hack-San," he loses to Alya, someone with no formal training who just got the Ladybug Miraculous, has been a superhero for less time, and is rarely called upon.
- He loses to Ladybug in mind-controlled 1v1s.
- He isn't smart in akuma battles despite his achievements in always maintaining appearances, grades, and arriving in class on time after midnight akumas.
- Ladybug, again, someone who has no training or anything, is somehow stronger than him in many situations.
- Jeanne calls Chat Noir a weak Chat Noir despite his warrior skills.
- Chat Noir gets overwhelmed by Penalteam.
- Losing to antibug
- Rocketear
- Knowing henry the 4ths horse is gray in "reunion" but not knowing the worlds most popular sport in penalteam he is known to play soccer in comics he plays basket ball and other sports you cant tell me he has a foosball table yet doesnt know where to goal in football.
- Adrien is a anime nut and yet falls for the most obvious ploys.
- Copy chat won far too easily this is a weak argument but comeon the plan wasnt even that good and copy cats ability was becoming chatnoir so the trap wasnt magic you telling me he can destroy concrete with a baton and lift cars yet cant break some chains
To me, it seems the series keeps on forgetting Chat Noir's abilities for plot convenience. This goes beyond the commonly talked-about topic of his underutilization; it appears his character is being forcibly nerfed to make other characters relevant. I can agree some situations were within the possibility of him being to emotional.id like everyones opinion on the matter

2024.05.14 17:29 jillyapple1 Trying to nest IFS based on tab name ending, I got it to work but have some questions
All tabs will end in -F or -T or -A. I want to delete any tab ending in -T or -A and rename any tab ending in -F to remove the -F. Eg Summary-F will become Summary.
I was getting an error until I put 'Else' on it's own line with the next IF starting the next line. Why does that matter?
Also, is there a better alternative to nesting IFs?

2024.05.14 16:12 ScholarGrade Juniors - If you want to improve your chances, NOW is the time to start brainstorming essays
There have been an increasing number of juniors visiting this sub asking for advice about writing essays. Below are some tips and advice for making your essay stand out as excellent. Feel free to ask questions because I will answer every single question in the comments.
I know from experience that many of you are struggling to identify a good topic for your essay. Conventional wisdom says to start by brainstorming a list of potential topics, and chances are, you have already started a mental list of ideas. You might think you only have a few choices for topics, based on your activities or experiences, or essay examples you read, or the rough draft you already started (or worse, that GPT started...). I advise, however, that you put down your list of topics and back away from it. Forget that exists for a moment. Seriously - thinking about this initial list tethers you to certain ideas that might not actually be your best options.
Now you can begin brainstorming with a clean slate.
Start with thinking about what you want to show in your entire application, not just one essay. Every single component in your app has one purpose – to tell more about YOU. Filling out the rest of the application by rote and focusing solely on the essay is short-sighted and will leave so much potential untapped in your application.
It's About You. Tell Your Story - And Be The Protagonist
An admissions officer’s goal is to understand you fully, in the context of your background and the rest of the applicant pool. They will begin this with assessing your academic abilities and potential. Then they will evaluate how you will fit into the student body they’re trying to curate. All of this can be somewhat broad and diverse and touch on several institutional goals. But they will dig deep to find out what each applicant is like, what your core values and motivations are, what kind of student you will be, how you will contribute to the vibrant and intellectual campus community they’re building, etc.
Your goal with essay brainstorming is to ascertain how to powerfully tell your story in a manner that will fit these criteria. The entirety of your application (again, not just one essay) aims to showcase your abilities, qualifications, and uncommon attributes as a person in a positive way. Before you begin outlining or writing your application, you must determine what is unique about you that will stand out to an admissions panel. All students are truly unique. Not one other student has the same combination of life experiences, personality, passions, or goals as you do. Your job in your application is to frame your unique personal attributes in a positive and compelling way. How will you fit on campus? What personal qualities, strengths, core values, talents, or different perspectives do you bring to the table? What stories, deeper motivations/beliefs, or formative experiences can you use to illustrate all of this?
It is always helpful to start with some soul-searching or self-examination. You might not immediately know what you want to share about yourself. It’s not a simple task to decide how to summarize your whole life and being in a powerful and eloquent way on your application. Introspection prior to starting your application takes additional time and effort rather than jumping straight into your first draft. But it is also a valuable method to start writing a winning application that stands out from the stack.
You'll see the advice everywhere that all essay prompts are really about the same thing -
you. The goal of each essay then is to showcase who you are, what matters to you, and how you think. I guarantee if you're on this sub enough, you'll hear the advice to "show, don't tell" when writing about yourself. But what does this mean really, and how do you do it well? How do you even get started on an essay that does this?
Introspection Questions
It’s often easiest to start thinking in terms of superlatives, especially those related to personal insights -- what are the most meaningful things about you, and what do you value the most? Here is a list of questions to help you brainstorm broadly before you narrow down your focus for writing:
- What are your interests?
- What sparks your curiosity?
- About what topics do you enjoy reading?
- With whom do you enjoy spending time? Who has impacted your life the most?
- Reflect upon “superlatives” in your life. What moments were most memorable, formative, enlightening, enjoyable, or valuable? What physical possessions, experiences, dreams, or lessons could make your superlatives list?
- Stop and think about what things, people, or circumstances in your life are really unique, fascinating, or outlandish. Are there any that really have a lot of "cultural flavor" (whatever your culture is)?
I have a free introspection worksheet with over 100 questions like this designed to help you find ideas worth exploring in your essays. You can find it on the A2C Discord or
download it directly here.
Find Your Story And Arc
Think of a small anecdote or story from your life that you could share that serves as a microcosm of who you are and what is important to you. It will massively help you narrow this down and find a gem of a story if you first start by thinking about your application arc or theme. This is the one-phrase summary of your entire application. It could be "brilliant entrepreneur who started her own successful business" or "talented athlete who wants to study economics and finance as they pertain to sports", or even "avid baker whose hobby sparked an interest in chemistry". It doesn't have to be related to your intended major, but it can help your arc be stronger and clearer if it is.
Once you have an arc determined and a story to share, think about what you want that story to say about you. This is where it can help to think of this as something you would share on a date - what impression does it make about you to the reader? Once you know this, start showing, not telling this attribute of yourself through your story. For example, instead of saying that you're compassionate toward others, you show an example of a time you were compassionate, then elaborate on why, and what it means to you.
Essay Brainstorming Techniques
If you are having trouble finding a story, or simply have writer’s block once you have picked your topic, here are some ideas to get your juices flowing:
- Stream of consciousness writing -- Start writing whatever is in your head, and don’t stop for 30 minutes. You probably won’t use what you just wrote for your essay, but it will help you find a starting point.
- Journaling -- Answer the prompt as if you were writing in a journal. This will get you in the habit of writing about yourself and establish comfort with the concept. It will also take you to a new level of introspection and self-awareness.
Twitter X style -- Write several rapid-fire responses to the prompt in 280 characters or less. Choose an idea from these responses to expound upon in your essay.
- Read each essay prompt, then go through your introspection worksheet responses and connect the stories and insights to one or more of the prompts. Some students like using color coding to visually see how their different ideas might work together.
Why Essays Matter
Here's the thing a lot of people don't realize about college admission:
it's not an award for being the smartest, most accomplished, or most impressive. It's an invitation to join a community. Far too many students think that if they can just show that they're smart enough, they'll get in. Yale even says right on their admissions website that 75% of their applicants are academically qualified to succeed at Yale. But only ~4% are getting in. That should tell you that they're looking for more than just top tier test scores and grades. To be perfectly clear, you will need top tier grades and (optionally) test scores to show that you're qualified, and the vast majority of my students come to me with this part already in the bank. But what sets the admits apart? It's personal insight - sharing who you are, how you think, what matters to you, and how you engage community. You can't just say "
/IAmVerySmart, please admit me," or even "I did a cool thing guys! Isn't that neat!" You need to go deeper and show them your core values, personal strengths, motivations, aspirations, character traits, foundational beliefs, personality, etc. And you need to do it in a charming, winsome way that makes them like you and want to invite you to join their community.
So how do I get students to do this? All of my students complete that introspection worksheet. We go through it and find the stories, examples, anecdotes, conversations, memories, relationships, and other things from their life that will help us craft a strong and personally insightful narrative. We also make lists of the values, strengths, and key personal qualities we want to showcase. Once we have some topics, outlines, abstracts, or rough drafts, we talk about which stories to tell where, how to tell them well, and what details to include to present the best they have to offer. Then we refine, edit, polish, and enhance over and over until the story sings, but more importantly shows their heart and soul. We also go through
all the other application components to ensure consistency, quality, and distinctiveness.
Here's why this works so well: at most highly selective colleges there is a primary reader (or 2-3) who will review everything first and then present it to the admissions committee, who then votes on whether to admit you. That presentation typically goes one of three ways:
- Total enthusiasm, energy, and excitement. They strongly advocate for admission and paint a clear picture of how you will contribute to their goals and community. Everyone in the room picks up on that energy and is leaning forward in their chairs, looking for reasons to admit you. This is quite rare, generally less than 5 out of every 100 applications, even among those which are "fully qualified." When you do this right, you show depth, meaning, and valuable personal insights so the reviewer is learning about who you are and how you might engage the community they're curating. You come alive off the page as a person, not just another file.
- Business as usual. You're another great applicant in a pile of great applicants. They share a basic review of the facts, your profile, stats, strengths, weaknesses, etc. Maybe someone on the committee finds something they love, and they really push for admission. More likely, not and you get deferred/waitlisted even though there wasn't anything "wrong" with your application. They just didn't love you enough to commit.
- "Here's a stack of 20 applications that I didn't find all that compelling, so we won't present them individually, but you guys are the committee and you make the decisions. So let me know if there are any you want to talk about." In this case, unless there's a letter of endorsement from an athletics coach or your last name matches several buildings on campus, you're probably not getting additional consideration, much less admission. They will regret to inform you.
Everything we're doing is designed to help them get to know themselves, present the best they have to offer, and land in that first group. Having top tier essays is the single best way to get there. Get started on brainstorming in the next few weeks so you'll have time to get a few essays completed over the summer.

Hello, Need help on Inventory issue.
Context : Same subsidiary - same location - Inventory Item - do not use BIN
The Inventory quantity listed on the Item record does not align with the inventory reports (Worksheet, activity details, stock ledger, etc.). All the inventory reports display the same quantity and valuation, while the quantity listed on the Item record is different.
I encounter the same problem with several items (Inventory item - no bins for all).
An Inventory adjustment was conducted on December 23 for all the items affected by this issue (the quantity on the Adjust Inventory is the same gap I have today. However, I am unable to comprehend why there is now a discrepancy with my reports. The accurate stock inventory is the one listed on the Item record, not in the reports.

2024.05.13 23:24 Grouchy_Carpenter489 Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP: It is time to forget about standard Excel sheets and take an enhanced data upload tool
A Time to Forget About Ordinary Excel Sheets and Take an Enhanced Data Upload Tool Thousands of users worldwide of Oracle Fusion ERP use ADFdi and FBDI for data loading or data management generally. Excel has some great features that help to streamline data analysis. There is no argument that Excel is a highly functional tool for organizational data management. Ordinary Microsoft Excel spreadsheets have many limitations regarding data loading to Oracle Fusion Cloud. Excel is great for simple ad hoc calculations, but it needs connectivity features to automate and document its contents, making its use prone to error. Manually keying in data in Oracle Cloud from Excel worksheets or copy-pasting is a slow, time-consuming process that is bound to reduce employee productivity. Accuracy is also compromised, and inaccurate data can cost an organization millions in revenue. Excel needs more automation, so if you handle large volumes of data, there may be a better tool for you. Furthermore, data security is not assured since Excel does not have encryption features. The standard Oracle tools (ADFdi and FBDI) are rigid in nature; the user cannot move columns around or even easily paste data from another sheet to ADFdi or FBDI. The error reporting and resolution cycle is too cumbersome and needs specialized technical knowledge. Why do people still use Excel sheets for data management? ● It’s cheaper For a team that doesn't care about automation, why bother spending on something more costly if they can get away with something that stores data tables? Considering its limitations, is it worth it in the long-run cost? ● Easy-to-use Excel is easy to use. It is one of the basic Microsoft Office tools that most people learn to use in basic computer interactions. Because they are already familiar with it, most people find Excel easy to use and often prefer to do so than learn new about new tools. ● Limited knowledge of what’s available Some people are just stuck in their routines. They need help staying current on the newest software available on the market. If the leadership of a team or members does not take the initiative to look around and find out what the market has to offer, they will be stuck with Excel and its attendant costs when others are enjoying the benefits of more advanced tools. ● Poor experience with some project management software Choosing a data loading tool to suit your data loading needs is a task that should be taken seriously. Many data-loading teams that used Excel have been turned off by their previous experience with data-loading tools. Some tools are cumbersome and difficult to use, others are code intensive and not suitable for most end users, and some may need more features you are looking for. The poor experience is a result of poor customization. Suppose you had a tool that allowed you to use the easy-to-use and familiar Excel worksheet while providing you with advanced specialized features for loading data into the cloud. Wouldn’t that be great? How to make Excel work with advanced tools Working with Excel in data loading does not have to be a slow and cumbersome process that does not ensure the accuracy or security of your data. You can harness the power of Excel and still enjoy using advanced data-loading tools. More4Apps and Simplified Loader are Excel-based data-loading to consider. More4Apps More4Apps is an Excel-based data-loading tool that allows businesses to integrate familiar Excel spreadsheets with Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion. Its tools work within the familiar interface of Microsoft Excel, leveraging the many features of Excel to facilitate data loading. Training is optional since Excel is the main interface, and end-users are familiar with it. Unlike ordinary Excel spreadsheets, which are limited in scalability, More4Apps empowers data owners to carry out mass data uploads and updates. A plugin must be installed on a PC before you can use More4Apps. The IT Helpdesk needs to be involved in installing the plugin, so only specific PCs can be used. More4Apps sends and receives data from the server hosted by More4Apps. Considering data security, allowing data transfers to a third-party server without ensuring the details are transferred is risky. Robust testing is required with every release of More4Apps update to ensure your data is transferred to a safe place. The IT Security department needs to get involved in verifying the third-party server and plugin. Simplified Loader ~Simplified Loader~ is an Excel-based tool designed explicitly for uploading or downloading data to and from Oracle Fusion Cloud. The Simplified Loader template is easy to use. It includes a toolbar that contains operations specific to the template. The output of any operation is displayed in the Excel template's Load Status and Error Message fields. Simplified Loader Excel files upload or download data from Oracle Fusion Cloud. Simplified Loader’s Excel templates are used either for mass data loads, for example, data migration, or everyday data loading activities in Oracle Cloud. Simplified Loader ensures your data’s security by routing data from the Excel template directly to Oracle Cloud without a third-party server. The Simplified Loader template doesn’t need plugin installation and runs using Macros, similar to how other Oracle Cloud tools interact with Oracle. Which template should you choose? User convenience - Both More4Apps and Simplified Loader provide features that enhance user experience. Most UX features are similar in both products. Since they use Microsoft Excel, additional training is rarely necessary. More4Apps provides a form to input data that is not in the tabular format. Whereas the Simplified Loader provides a single unified sheet to enter data, the same sheet is used to invoke the list of values. Both tools allow you to insert custom columns, hide or delete columns you don't need, and insert formulas you may need for data analysis. You can also analyze or validate data before uploading it. Data Security - Oracle Fusion only allows interaction through APIs. Both More4Apps and Simplified Loader use APIs to interact with Oracle, so the security protocols are the same in both toolsets. More4Apps uses an external system to manage licenses. From the IT point of view, in a highly data-sensitive environment, the IT has to open additional ports to interact with the More4Apps servers to validate licenses. In terms of data security, both toolsets have the same features. License Management - This topic is considerably different in More4Apps and Simplified Loader. More4Apps restricts the number of times an administrator can update users licensed to use the Simplified Loader template, whereas, in Simplified Loader, the Administrator has full control over maintaining the users licensed to use the Simplified Loader templates. Support—Both organizations offer excellent support to users who log defects using the support system. Simplified Loader has a vast library of short videos demonstrating product features and functionalities. More4Apps has recently adopted the approach of video tutorials. Plugin installation - This is a key difference between the two templates. The More4Apps template requires an additional plugin installed on the user's machine. The user will always see an additional toolbar in Excel when working on any Excel document. The user always has to use the PC where the plugin is installed. In comparison, the Simplified Loader Excel doesn’t need any plugin installation on the user’s machine. When the user opens the Simplified Loader file, the Simplified Loader toolbar appears. Users won’t see the additional toolbar when they open any other Excel file. Using Excel parallelly: When using either toolset, Excel cannot be used for any other purposes. The user has to wait until the data is loaded to Oracle. Pricing: Both toolsets offer per-user licensing. More4Apps offers licenses per user by module, whereas Simplified Loader offers licenses per user by Template. License management at the template level gives the administrator higher control to assign the right user to the right template, resulting in purchasing the right number of licenses per user. The More4Apps licenses are considerably higher (more than 5x) than the Simplified Loader licenses. Conclusion Using ordinary Excel spreadsheets for data loading may not be very effective. Excel may have shortcomings, but you can use it efficiently with advanced data-loading tools to get the best of both applications. Both More4Apps and Simplified Loader provide similar features for loading data in Oracle. Both are advanced data-loading tools that make your experience more pleasant and effective. Simplified Loader is more handy as it does not need plugin installation, and the user doesn’t need any involvement from IT to install the plug-in. submitted by Grouchy_Carpenter489 to u/Grouchy_Carpenter489 [link] [comments]
2024.05.13 20:11 Jake4XIII Campaign Leading up to Ladybug, Ladybug Fly Away Home [Spoilers]
Let me just star with this: Stygian Fox must be proud of themselves because THIS is one of the greatest modern horror adventure ideas I have ever seen.
That said, I'm about go spoil this masterful scenario, so anyone who wants to read or play it themselves should kindly GO AWAY! THIS IS FOR YOUR OWN GOOD! DO NOT READ FURTHER
...
Okay so this is part of the Things We Leave Behind, a collection of 6 scenarios for call of cthulhu. All these scenarios are inspired by media like X-Files and so have the potential of being played as professional investigators, FBI or police, looking into the cases.
Ladybug involves the players tasked with finding kidnapped little girl, who was taken from her mother in broad daylight then the kidnapper immediately killed himself. She was also separated from her ladybug backpack that has her life saving medicine.
...
SPOILERS
...
To greatly oversimplify, the girl is the daughter of a cult leader who, admittedly unknowingly, is about to unleash death on thousands of people through a ritual dedicated to Nyarlothotep. This comes in the form of the Biblical plagues of egypt. Ending with the deaths of all first born, possible across the whole continental US.
This is an awesome and terrible consequence, in face, I feel. Its too good for a oneshot. This is the type of scenario that I feel deserves the title of Campaign Finale, where the survival of the investigators and their families are ALL on the line.
So what are some good scenarios to start with to.build up to ladybug? Preferably ones that suit professional investigators, focus on Nyarlothotep and his works or on cult activity, or just some really good modern adventures in the US that could be a fun part of the build up?

2024.05.13 20:02 Anonymoushamric Wildflower Patch Progress
This is progress from April 17-May 13, we began by tilling in mid March and sewed about 3k seeds through a two week rotation. We used a Native Oklahoma blend, a hummingbird blend, a pollinator blend, and then a local flower blend, roughly 88 dollars in seeds. We spent about 20 dollars in various bulbs, primarily gladiolus. They aren’t up yet as we did them in our barer spots once we got more established growth visible and could see where things didn’t take as well. Really proud of this. We had a good chunk of our yard that was under utilized as it is where the dogs run around the fence to bark at those who, how dare they apparently 😂, walk by our property, and it is just a potty zone for them. We’re avid gardeners with lots of pollinator visitors in our maintained beds so we decided to up the game this year to make our four hummingbird repeats (and hopefully more soon) as well as the bees, very happy. Milkweed was in the mix for the monarchs but we haven’t seen any come up yet. LOADS of butterflies at all times and have already had an increase in bee activity! Two bumbles already spotted! Assassin bugs and 9-spotted ladybugs have been sighted at every single visit out here so we are definitely pleased! Very heavy rains lately so it’s impacted some of the growth as the soil is clay here and very water dense which isn’t great for a lot of our perennials. I have a lot of pictures of some of the diversity that’s popped up if anyone is interested. It is hard to capture it when I try to get an overall picture. submitted by Anonymoushamric to Wildflowers [link] [comments]
2024.05.13 16:36 druid-duckling Day 25 Check In!
Started: 4/19/24, Day 25: 5/13/24 The first milestone! I’m 1/3 of the way through 75 soft!! I’ll be honest, last week was rough: I was feeling so fatigued, I was grouchy, I had a flare up of my health issues. So, I really did the bare minimum. I threw intermittent fasting out the window, I snacked WAY too much, and if my watch clocked 45 minutes of “active time” at work I didn’t work out that evening. As someone that’s only five feet, the physical changes I’d been seeing morphed back to how I used to look. In the past, this would have sent me into a spiral. I’m feeling okay though! I have 50 more days left to stay on track. Some cool things that have happened:-I feel stronger!-I ran a 5k!-I have read five books!-my mental health has been really good overall! submitted by druid-duckling to 75soft [link] [comments]
2024.05.13 15:49 Traditional-Fox6035 Item Record Quantity does not Match with Inventory Reports
Hello, Need help on Inventory issue.
Context : Same subsidiary - same location - Inventory Item - do not use BIN
The quantity listed on the Item record does not align with the inventory reports (Worksheet, activity details, stock ledger, etc.). All the inventory reports display the same quantity and valuation (incorrect), while the quantity listed on the Item record is different (the accurate one).
I encounter the same problem with several items (Inventory item - no bins for all). An Inventory adjustment was conducted on December 23 for all the items affected by this issue. However, I am unable to comprehend why there is now a discrepancy with my reports. The accurate stock count is the one listed on the Item record, not in the reports.
Thank you for your help,

2024.05.13 11:08 adulting4kids Dead Sea Scrolls Study Guide -Unedited
The War Scroll, also known as the "War of the Sons of Light Against the Sons of Darkness," is a unique text within the Dead Sea Scrolls that portrays an apocalyptic battle between the forces of good (Sons of Light) and evil (Sons of Darkness). This scroll provides insight into both historical and symbolic elements.
Historical Accuracy: The War Scroll, while containing detailed military tactics and an epic narrative of the ultimate confrontation, doesn't explicitly reference any specific historical event or timeframe. Some scholars believe it could be a product of the community's anticipation of a future messianic conflict or a reflection of their own community's struggles against opposing forces during their time. Interpreting the historical accuracy of the scroll often involves exploring the context of the Qumran community and the turbulent times in which they lived.
Symbolism and Esoteric Wisdom: The War Scroll goes beyond a mere description of a physical battle. It portrays a cosmic conflict between the forces of light and darkness, reflecting not just a literal warfare but also a symbolic and spiritual struggle. The text emphasizes righteousness, divine intervention, and the victory of good over evil.
Within the study guide, activities and exercises could involve dissecting the symbolic elements present in the War Scroll, exploring the deeper meanings behind the battle tactics and the metaphysical implications of the conflict. Understanding the symbolism could involve group discussions, comparative analysis with other ancient texts with similar themes, and exploring the impact of this symbolic representation on the community's beliefs and practices.
Here are a few activities and exercises to explore the symbolism and historical context of the War Scroll from the Dead Sea Scrolls:
- Symbolism Analysis:
Provide excerpts from the War Scroll and encourage participants to identify and discuss the symbolic meanings behind elements like the "Sons of Light" and the "Sons of Darkness," various weapons, and the strategies outlined for battle. Group discussions or written reflections can help participants explore the deeper layers of meaning.
- Comparative Analysis:
Compare the War Scroll's themes with similar apocalyptic or eschatological texts from different cultures or religions, such as apocalyptic passages in the Book of Revelation in the Christian Bible or apocalyptic texts from other ancient traditions. Create worksheets or discussion prompts to highlight similarities and differences in themes, symbols, and beliefs about cosmic battles.
- Historical Context Exploration:
Present historical information about the era when the Dead Sea Scrolls were written. Discuss the political, social, and religious climate of that time, including the turmoil in the region, to understand how these factors might have influenced the composition of the War Scroll. Encourage participants to consider the possible motivations behind the text's creation.
- Creative Interpretation:
Encourage creative expression by asking participants to create artwork, poems, or short stories inspired by the themes and imagery found in the War Scroll. This exercise allows individuals to engage more deeply with the symbolic elements and interpret them in their own unique ways.
- Role-playing or Debates:
Organize a role-playing activity where participants take on the roles of "Sons of Light" and "Sons of Darkness," debating their ideologies, motivations, and strategies for the ultimate battle. This exercise helps in understanding differing perspectives and interpreting the conflicts presented in the scroll.
Interpretative variations regarding the river's crossing in different ancient texts reflect the unique religious, philosophical, and cultural perspectives embedded within these narratives. These differences in interpretation offer insights into diverse worldviews and varying theological frameworks present in ancient texts:
- Mesopotamian Context:
- In Mesopotamian mythology and literature, the Euphrates River often held symbolic significance as a boundary between the known civilized world and the wild, unknown realms. The crossing of the Euphrates could symbolize journeys into unexplored territories or transitions between order and chaos. This perspective reflects a worldview rooted in the physical and geographical division of lands.
- Biblical Context:
- In biblical texts, such as those in the Book of Revelation or Old Testament prophecies, the crossing of the Euphrates carries eschatological significance. It may represent a divine intervention or a decisive moment in God's plan, marking the commencement of apocalyptic events. This interpretation aligns with the biblical narrative of divine judgment and the unfolding of God's ultimate purpose in history.
- Gnostic or Apocryphal Context:
- Gnostic or apocryphal texts often interpret the river's crossing as a symbolic liberation or awakening. It might signify the release of spiritual forces or the ascent to higher consciousness, reflecting a philosophical perspective emphasizing spiritual enlightenment and liberation from material constraints.
- Greco-Roman Interpretation:
- In Greco-Roman literature, crossings of rivers were often associated with mythological journeys or transitions between realms. The crossing of the Euphrates might symbolize a transition from mundane existence to a realm of mystery or spiritual significance, reflecting a cultural perspective rooted in mythology and cosmology.
These varied interpretations highlight the richness and diversity of religious, philosophical, and cultural frameworks present in ancient texts. The river's crossing serves as a flexible symbol that adapts to different narratives, conveying themes of transition, judgment, liberation, or cosmic transformation based on the unique perspectives of each tradition.
Exploring these interpretative variations allows participants to appreciate the complexity of symbolism within ancient texts and provides insights into how different cultures and belief systems interpreted common motifs like the river Euphrates. It showcases the intricate interplay between religious, philosophical, and cultural elements shaping the symbolism and theological implications embedded in these narratives.

- Metaphor for Spiritual Journeys:
- Across cultures, rivers are often used metaphorically to represent spiritual journeys or quests. The crossing of the Euphrates might symbolize the pursuit of enlightenment, the passage to higher realms of understanding, or the quest for spiritual transformation.
These universal themes associated with the river Euphrates highlight fundamental aspects of the human experience—transitions, boundaries, transformative events, power dynamics, and spiritual journeys. The river's symbolism in ancient texts speaks to shared human aspirations, struggles, and beliefs that transcend cultural boundaries and resonate across different epochs and civilizations.
By identifying and discussing these universal themes, participants gain a deeper appreciation for the profound symbolism embedded in ancient texts and recognize the timeless relevance of concepts such as transition, boundaries, and transformative events in shaping human narratives and aspirations.
- Historical Context:

The composition of the War Scroll, along with other Dead Sea Scrolls, was likely influenced by several historical events and societal conditions prevalent during the time of its writing, which is estimated to be between the 2nd century BCE and the 1st century CE:
- Hellenistic Rule and Cultural Influence:
- The region where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found was under Hellenistic influence due to the conquests of Alexander the Great and the subsequent control by the Seleucid Empire. This era saw a clash between Hellenistic culture and Jewish traditions, leading to cultural tensions and a desire to preserve religious and cultural heritage.
- Political Turmoil and Resistance Movements:
- The Jewish people experienced political unrest, particularly during the Maccabean Revolt against Seleucid rule. This period was characterized by resistance movements, attempts to preserve Jewish identity, and fervent anticipation of a messianic figure to deliver them from foreign oppression.
- Religious Sects and Spiritual Expectations:
- Various religious sects existed within Judaism, each with its own interpretations and expectations of messianic redemption, purity laws, and theological doctrines. The community associated with the Dead Sea Scrolls, often believed to be the Essenes, likely had distinctive theological beliefs and a strong apocalyptic worldview.
- Anticipation of Cosmic Redemption:
- There was a widespread belief in the imminent arrival of a messianic figure or a divine intervention that would bring about cosmic redemption, ushering in an era of righteousness and divine rule. This anticipation of apocalyptic events and a cosmic battle between forces of light and darkness is reflected in the War Scroll's themes.
Regarding the historical context of the Dead Sea Scrolls' discovery, its significance lies in multiple facets:
- Preservation of Ancient Texts:
- The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, including the War Scroll, provided an invaluable collection of ancient manuscripts that significantly expanded our understanding of ancient Jewish texts, religious beliefs, and the diversity of Jewish thought during the Second Temple period.
- Insights into Jewish Sectarianism:

- The Dead Sea Scrolls' discovery contributed to confirming the accuracy and preservation of certain biblical texts, highlighting the continuity of textual transmission across centuries and supporting the authenticity of biblical manuscripts.
- Impact on Biblical Studies and Scholarship:
- The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls revolutionized biblical studies, providing scholars with invaluable primary sources for studying ancient Judaism, the development of biblical texts, and the context in which these texts were composed.
The historical context of political upheaval, religious expectations, and the preservation of texts within the Dead Sea Scrolls contributes significantly to understanding the milieu in which the War Scroll was written.
