Nevermind that it's the most inaccurate method available, (read: most likely way wrong - see here) you're still just putting an arbitrary number to the body you have. Despite people's claim that they are shooting for a number, they're really shooting for look - like a six pack.
So let's stopping mucking around with trivialities and get to the heart of the matter. This thread shall serve two purposes:

1. Physique critiques. Post some pics and ask about muscles or body parts you need to work on. Or specifically ask about a lagging body part and what exercises worked for others.
2. An outlet for people that want to show off their efforts that would otherwise be removed due to Rule 4, and

I (18 F) live with my husband who’s in the Navy (19 M). When he was in training, he had a roommate who I’m gonna call Eric (20 M). He got his orders a few months back so we moved and what do you know, Eric gets the same orders too. Same EXACT orders. Same city, same ship, same birthing (where they sleep), same job, same job level (job and job level are two different things), same everything; meaning they were gonna be stuck together for the next five years.
Now I haven’t ever had a problem with Eric. As far as I knew, he pretty much just kept to himself and played video games. I knew he had a wife, but I didn’t know much about her initially, never really heard about her until Eric started coming to our apartment to hang out.
It’s important to note that he got married while he was in A-School so his BAH didn’t process for months, meaning he was legally required to live on the ship until his BAH kicked in. Because of this, his wife who we’ll call Diane (19 F) couldn’t move here to live with him yet.
During the first two and a half months here, Eric would occasionally come over and spend the night. One of the times he was at our place, he gave me Diane’s Snapchat because I had mentioned that I wasn’t good at making friends and was worried I’d be lonely. For anyone who doesn’t know, companionship of some kind is crucial when your spouse goes on deployment as it can get extremely lonely and make you feel isolated. Even if it’s just a dog, you need to have support.
Diane texted me first, introducing herself and asking about things I liked, hobbies, pets, family, etc. We seemed to have a lot in common and I quickly became an outlet for her when Eric and her fought (which was frequently because he was unloyal). I didn’t mind being an outlet for her and was even thrilled she trusted me enough so soon to open up like she did.
We ended up growing close in a short amount of time. So much so, that when she was visiting for their anniversary, I’m the one that picked her up from the airport and I even let her stay at our place. That visit ended up bringing us even closer because I had to spend the whole night nursing her back to health after she got black out drunk and threw up all over my whole bathroom..and I mean the WHOLE bathroom.
About a month and a half after her visit, BAH kicked in and she moved up here and into an apartment with Eric. They invited us over to watch the solar eclipse and have dinner and we ended up spending the night there.
That was just the start to a shit ton of nights spent at her place. From that point on, we have spent damn near every day at their place. Ik you might be wondering how the hell she could even begin to look fake but just hear me out.
Both Eric and my husband (who I’ll call Nick) work the same shift. The night shift. Before Diane moved here, I was used to spending nights alone as Nick had to sleep/ work on the ship frequently but she was scared to be home alone so being a good friend, I went to her place for the night. This became a recurring thing. We have three cats at home so I’d have to remind Nick to stop at our place to feed them, give them water, and change their litter after work every day. The bare minimum amount of care they needed, which made me feel extremely guilty.
Soon, we barely spent any time at our own apartment, which really bothered me because we pay to live there and literally have pets. As time went on, Diane seemed to get more comfortable and by comfortable, I mean rude.
I have a spitfire personality. Diane claims she mirrors other personalities, but in this case, she multiplies it by ten then gives it back. Soon, every time I started to speak, she started mocking me or making the stankest face. Normally things like that don’t bother me, but it was nonstop.
Eventually, I got fed up with being a bum ass mom to my cats and said we needed to spend more time at home, to which Nick agreed. I told Diane that I felt she avoided my place and to show me I was wrong, she reluctantly agreed to spend the night at my place this time. It lasted all of about four hours before she went home since her two dogs barked nonstop the whole time she was gone.
From that point on, she had an excuse (the dogs) but also refused anything I suggested to prevent barking. For example, let one free roam and out the other in a room. Nothing I suggested was good enough for her. Either way though, Nick and I stuck to our word and stayed at our own place.
Today we went out to the aquarium. Any time I would give my phone to Nick to take a pic of me, she’d shove her own phone in Eric’s hand and run to the spot and start posing. And no. She wasn’t trying to take a pic with me. She was simply trying to beat me to it. She did it pretty much the entire time.
After, we went on a double date to a steakhouse and the way she spoke to me felt very belittling. It’s important to note that I have a passion about everything space and took a course in college on it with the intention of eventually getting my degree in general Astronomy.
While we were at dinner she started asking me basic space knowledge thinking I was going to get the answers wrong. By the way, she is fully aware of the extent of my knowledge. One of the questions was “can you even name all the planets?”. The way she asked was condescending and Nick could tell I was beginning to get offended though it was clear that Diane had no clue.
After dinner, we were all supposed to go back to our place to hang out but she found another excuse not to. After her excuse, I decided I needed space from her but still haven’t told her. She has extremely selfish tendencies, has a know-it-all type of attitude (I have never heard her admit being wrong even when she clearly was), and treats me like I’m either below her or just dumb, depending on the day.
She constantly comments on the things I eat (normally leftovers that were kept in the fridge) saying I’m disgusting and making jokes about it to Eric. She laughs like it’s all in good fun but it’s extremely passive aggressive.
I can’t completely stop being friends since our husbands work together and don’t want to have issues with one another for the next five years but I’m not sure how long I can tolerate the constant one sided battle for.

Talk me off the ledge please, I have bad health anxiety and have been sick to my stomach with worry all day.
Does anyone here have multiple/ patches of seborrheic keratosis on their body, and are otherwise healthy? Have you had multiple lesions appear in a short time, especially around perimenopause?
What's considered normal, as opposed to the "sudden eruption" they talk about when they talk about the Leser-Trelat sign - a rare sign of an internal malignancy like colon or breast cancer??
I'm almost 41F. Right after turning forty I've had some pronounced hormonal swings which I assumed were the start of menopause. I had a gyno workshop and my hormones tested and my estrogen was a bit higher than norm which she said is normal in peri. Everything else seemed normal. I have not yet started mammograms, was just planning to, and never had a colonoscopy.
I had a dermatology skin check today and mentioned that I had a bunch of little moles that popped up fairly recently on my stomach. She looked and said it was actually seborrheic keratosis; and said that since they appeared suddenly, I should go for an internal work up just in case, as in rare cases it can signal malignancy.
Of course now I've spent the evening freaking the fuck out. Trying to research but there's very little info available. From what I've seen, the pics they show of these 'eruptions' are fairly dramatic - lots and lots of these lesions like hundreds big and small splashed all over. What I have is maybe around 20 of them or less, they're mostly very small, spread over one area/ side of my torso and aren't super noticeable if you aren't looking up close. I also have a couple of bigger lesions in other places that look like the more classic 'scaly' brown keratosis that I got years ago. But those popped up one or two at a time.
I haven't paid close attention so I don't know exactly just how quickly these ones popped up. I know I didn't have any there a few years ago, but they were there a few months ago already and haven't changed a lot since. Not sure of the exact moment they appeared or if it was all together.
Anyways. I'm gonna make the appt for the check up, but in the meantime I'm panicking and need some reassurance. I've read in other threads here that people have gotten them by the dozen and dems weren't concerned so idk. Mine was a young nurse practitioner and seemed to just be trying to check all the boxes so I don't know if she was just being overly cautious, or if it's really that unusual to get a bunch of them at once. I'm just terrified that together with the hormonal changes it means some sort of cancer. Of course I also read that estrogen can cause the keratosis, so maybe it's just the peri swings. Please share your experience if you had it

Just to reiterate. I saw "Nick's" face once. I know this because I heard him talking in person, just the once when he tried to peel out in front of my work at Bardel Kelowna when I ran outside, while I heard him saying "Shit shit shit", and trying to hide his face. I heard what sounded like a CB radio in the vehicle as well, but the signal was probably coming from his car through my interface. It was summer time in around 2016/17. I matched the 2 voices, the one in my interface, to his. They sound exactly the same, and he looked like he sounds. He was driving a red car, probably an 80's model. I took a pic of the vehicle but they bleached it out in the photo after I took it. As if sun glare. He was Caucasian looking, reddish brown hair, heavier and not tall, slightly shorter than I.
It starts with them following you, then progresses to them injecting you, then progresses to them watching you poo and pee and shower while commenting on your fecal processes, through your own eyes and body. They even comment things, when you are intimate with your partner. Everything you do, say, feel, think, or sense in any way is measured and analyzed. It's a gross violation at this point.
They think they can just swap my ID with his or my voice with his, and that he can take over my body, my life, etc. But SORRY, "This time you don't get away with that Nick and that will never happen". "There actually IS something bigger than you and your system, and you failed to acknowledge it, so it's going to mess my perpetrators all up." Is what I am saying, but they won't listen, and they want humanity to suffer, so that is what will happen. Just not their way...
People will either:
A) Start disappearing more and more, and or then
B) Start dying randomly more and more.
It is not what people think though. People think they are all just missing or that they were all murdered, but often in cases it was an evacuation from earth. They know what is going to happen and they wanted to save as many of us that are worthy as possible. That is why we were given the ideologies of heaven and hell. And Astronomical references in our religious scripture. If you are bad, you will not transcend into the heavens right? Our souls can actually be taken out of our bodies and saved in a way, but there is a true way and a "Fools Gold" way. They are not both real. One is fake and the other is genuine.
It just means if you are not worth saving from extinction in one of two forms, then you will not be saved, which means if you are truly good then they will never stop backing you, against the smaller systems within the community of systems out there. It's kind of like operating on different operating systems. But noting that they are both systems within a bigger system. And except one of the operating systems want's you dead and the other doesn't. The bigger one that encompasses them all is the one that will win in the end. And if I die or end up harmed anymore, more information about them and who they are and how they operate will be dispensed through 13 new people that they have interfaced, but they will never give them actual intel through those people ever.

I (25F) want to tell my (30M) Boyfriend that if he wants to talk about his friend, he will have to find anyone other than me to do it, because hearing about him makes me violently nauseous.
I’ll call my Boyfriend Jay, and his friend Chad so I can keep it straight. Fake names for the win, else I’ll spill every bean I have.
Please forgive my bunny trail of an explanation, but I have context on my Why’s.
Chad and I have had a rather negative relationship for around two years, and I have him blocked on everything for around 7 or 8 months now. Before that, we were all in the same circle of friends together. Chad is the older brother of my best friend, but we never met before 2020, that’s when my best friend and Chad wanted to get a larger group together for a streaming project. Chad and Jay were friends for around a year or so before the project started.
The project friends had about 6 regulars including me for the first two years, until Chad starting bringing in how own personal friends into the group. Chad started getting meaner and making more rude “jokes” directed to me or his brother when his friends were around. It got worse when Chad invited one of his friends, Hunter. Hunter was known to Chad’s friend group as being really bad with women, having a track record of running any girls in the friend group out and away for the same reasons. Chad never wanted me, or any other of the original project people about Hunters behavior patterns. All he did was say really hurtful things to me if Hunter started helping me in game, but if I brought it up, he would say it was a joke. All of these jokes revolves around calling me many forms of a loose woman, saying I collected simps? And other such things along that path of thought.
Hunter took about a week to get comfortable before he made advances on me and made me really uncomfortable. When I rejected him, he got rather aggressive. I told my best friend about it, who then told Chad. Chad just told me to “Actually Tell him no. He’s a good guy I want you to get along with him.” That kind of hurt my feelings because I Very much said no, and he didn’t take it well. For the next month Hunter SA’d me, and told me it was my fault, and that if his friends are mad at him, it’s my fault too. I didn’t tell the friend group much at the time because I was absolutely so ashamed of just everything. And when Chad found out something had gone down, he said how I was the one to let it happen, and that I just didn’t say no. Chad made sure to tell me the drama in the group was my fault, and nothing too bad must have happened if I didn’t tell them all about it.
This was about where I broke and just had no idea what to do, because it seemed like Chad didn’t want to listen to me. But that same week, Hunter sent some Dick pics to another friend, and made some extreme comments to her, including that he would unalive himself if he didn’t get a picture of her boobs.
It was only after that that Hunter was banned from the group, but Chad made sure to continue making choice comments about me. And I could do my best to ignore it until Christmas that year, when I was showing off some of the cute things I got to another member of the group when Chad said he just didn’t care, and went on a hour and a half rant about how bad I was and how stupid and gross and how he couldn’t stand to have me around. No one said anything during his rant, and I couldn’t stay anymore and take it and left. Only Jay and one other messaged me after asking if I was okay, and said it seemed like he was really attacking me that day. When I tried to talk to Chad about it, he got offended and said it was a joke.
After that, I stopped interacting with the group. I only talked to my best friend, Jay, and two others from the original group. During that year of me not interacting with Chad, Chad got angry if I hung out with Jay or best friend when not with him, and if he saw me hanging out with anyone, it got him one another hour long rant. My best friend unfortunately had to listen to all of them.
I finally blocked Chad after he came onto my twitch with his friends to insult me as much as they could. The straw that did it for me was that Chad said he was “surprised that I was even in collage when I was so fucking stupid” I’m extra salty about that because Chad only for two years of High school in before he dropped out.
Jay and I live together now, and I’ve told Jay about all the comments, showed him chads and my direct messages, and how I have such strong anxiety when Chad comes up for whatever reason. I actively have nightmares about Hunter and Chad still.
Jay and Chad do DnD every week, and have game nights pretty frequently too, and Jay will tell me about them, and about how glad he is that Chad is on his team because everyone else sucks.
Recently Chad and Jay got together to talk, and Chad said he regrets how he handles things and has no hard feelings towards me. Jay sounded really excited, and asked if I would unblock Chad and if things would go back to the way there were before. I never want to hear Chads voice again, and can’t see that happening.
I’m worried about being the A-Hole because I don’t want to tell my BF who he can be friends with or give him an ultimatum of “it’s your friend or me” but I feel like if I said to keep everything about Chad away from me I would be. Especially as Jay has said he hasn’t felt like he was a good friend to Chad after he got with me, and he wants to keep his friends as he doesn’t have many close ones after moving.
TLDR: Mutual friend bullied(?) me and now is only friends with my BF. BF and old friend still hang out and it makes me uncomfortable.

The shoes:

These are some good ol' classic derbies. Not much to review to be honest. Leather uppers, leather lining, leather insole, foam underneath leather insole, leather sole with rubber on the heel. Goodyear welt construction, but the stitching is hidden in the outsole. Beautiful almond shaped last. These are perfect for everyday use. Just match them with a pair of chinos or jeans, and you're good to go. I paid ~$115 USD for this pair, using the 10% discount for the first order. Manufacturing time is 4 to 6 weeks.

Could be better:

The leather edges, where the welt stitching is, have a paint coat. There IS white thread for the stitching, they just have a paint coat to increase contrast. Not an issue per se, but I was kind of disappointed. There's not much information about the leather. I can see some grain in it, so my guess would be top grain or calf. It is thin, but that's what I expected for this model, since it is a classic shoe and not a tough boot. The welt joint is not as clean as I would like, but I can live with that. No manufacturing defects or scratches anywhere.

Sizing:

I used their sizing guide, and I shouldn't have. According to their sizing guide I'm a 8.5 US size, but according to brannock I'm 9D. I ordered the 8.5, and it was a little bit too tight for me. Definitely go with your brannock on these.

Would I buy from Miles and Louie again:

Definitely. I would have ordered already, but I swear my wife is going to divorce me if I come home with another pair of shoes. You'll see what I mean once I finish all my reviews. These 2 models are in the top of my list:

Just wanted to start a community thread where successful retail rph can give tips for new grads in these roles.
Retail has been so, so good to me and it can be good to any new grad as it was a decade ago.

1. Interview your DM thoroughly in the job app/offer period. Be choosy, if you can't get along in the first interview it will be tuff. (dont sweat it too hard though, DM is a high turnover role)
   
2. Consider rural or chronically short staffed districts. This was my key to success. It helps that I wanted to try living in the places I accepted roles too. (This is where you can make the most money in retail)
   

3.Avoid stores where you get no benefit--unhelpful rphs/techs/sm/customers. Network with others in your district to work with the best. (if you are a good floater, tell good pics to get you on their schedule)

1. Do not work for peanuts for very long. If you want, take a small wage to start but you need to be hitting 70s soon in todays inflationary world.

5.Be ready to walk at any moment. That is just how this industry is. Dont hang on to a bad job for staff or patients. A new set of those will await you soon.

I (26F) was diagnosed with Scoliosis, Degenerative Disc Disease and Spinal Osteoarthritis when I was 15. My doctor told me I had “the back of a 40-year old” and now that I’m in my late 20s it’s only gotten worse. I am a bit over weight right now and would attribute my pain to that but even when I was 130lbs (I’m 5’3) and working out regularly, I would still have trouble walking at times, trouble getting up out of bed or off the floor and even collapse from the pain shooting down my hips.
When I was 19 I got X-ray work done on my spine and it was confirmed that my back is practically degrading at an abnormal rate. My doctor even warned me if I were to carry a pregnancy that it could potentially cause me to lose almost all function in my legs and do irreparable damage to my spine.
After reading a lot of threads in here I’m being told that DDD is not a real diagnosis? I know not to trust the internet but if so many people have agreed that DDD is just a mild back issue could there be something else wrong with me?
I’m just so sick and tired of gaslighting myself that I’m not actually in pain or that I’m faking it. Hearing that the disease I thought I had majority of my life could be “over exaggerating” isn’t really helping my moral. 😅 Okay that enough ranting from me.
