2024.05.19 09:31 DavRLe Remove or increase samples and medals cap limit

Consider this:
I believe I speak for a significant portion of early game players who have likely unlocked all the features for their ship and completed all the battle passes by now. I accomplished this in 140 hours of gameplay, without spending any additional money beyond the initial cost of the game.
Over the past two weeks, I’ve logged maybe 10 hours of playtime. While the game is enjoyable, I often find myself questioning, “Why am I playing right now? There’s virtually no objective, no goal, and no rewards.” This is a question that has likely crossed the minds of many players recently, contributing to a decline in active players. I mean the reality is: not everyone is the hero helldiver who just plays the game to help others.
Sure, it’s fun to assist random cadets (who may not even realize that you’ve collected all the samples for their benefit), but let’s be honest: as humans, we are naturally inclined to seek some form of gratification in our activities. Without this, the motivation to continue playing can fade away.

2024.05.19 09:09 Agreeable-Tackle-532 Phone Orders and Signing Off

Hello, and I'm fairly new to the medical side of understanding the order process at times.
I have been a tech for over 5 months, and got moved to the HUC role recently.
Here is my situation,
Last night we were in downtime, meaning all paper charting for a few hours. We had a patient that needed orders from the doctor. So the LPN called, and wrote the order on paper. The LPN signed off with Dr./LPN on 3/4 orders. I put in the orders, missed the 4th order. The 4th order didn't have the Dr./LPN signed off on it, and honestly didn't think much of it. There was a whole shift between when I left and came back. The night shift nurse tonight did chart checks, told me that I missed adding an order, handed me the chart. I added the order, and signed off again, and commented beside "missed order".
I guess I'm just wondering if I'm in trouble for missing an order, and adding it in even though every other order has Dr./LPN, and this one didn’t.

2024.05.19 09:01 XxDarkShadowx14 Second monitor flashes bios after that no signal

I recently got a new monitor and bought a hdmi to display port cable. My GPU only has 1 hdmi port and 3 display ports. My hdmi port is used by my main monitor.
The bios flashes on the second monitor and I can go into the bios on the second monitor. As soon as I log into windows there is no signal on the second monitor. I have tried every display port, still the same problem. Windows does not detect the monitor at all. Even when I click on the detect button, windows says "we didn't find another display". I tried updating my gpu drivers and also updated windows and that did not work as well.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

How to Find Cheap Land in Arkansas: Tips and Tricks
How to Find Cheap Land in Arkansas: Tips and Tricks
Arkansas, recognized as the Natural State, offers plentiful opportunities for individuals interested in investing in real estate. With its varied landscapes, cost-effective lifestyle, and thriving job sector, Arkansas presents a perfect environment to acquire economic property. Whether your aim is constructing your ideal residence, commencing a farm, or investing in real estate, numerous options are at your disposal to uncover budget-friendly property in Arkansas. In this piece, we will delve into the strategies and secrets to aid you in your quest for inexpensive property in this charming state.
The initial step in locating economical property in Arkansas is setting your financial plan and defining your requirements for a piece of property. Are you searching for land for agricultural, hunting, or recreational purposes? Are you interested in a sizable plot of land or a smaller plot to construct a dwelling? Once you have a clear vision of your objectives, you can kick off your search with specific criteria in mind.
Engaging with a local real estate agent specializing in land transactions is one of the optimal methods to pinpoint cost-effective property in Arkansas. They possess insight into the local market, access to listings, and proficiency in negotiating transactions. A local agent can assist you in identifying properties that align with your requirements and provide advice on the most favorable regions for investment. They can also guide you through the acquisition process to ensure you secure a fair deal.
Aside from collaborating with a real estate agent, you can also scout online for property listings in Arkansas. Numerous real estate platforms focus on land sales, such as LandWatch, Land And Farm, and Zillow. These websites enable you to filter land options based on criteria like size, location, and price range. You can set up alerts to notify you when new properties meeting your specifications become available.
During your online property search, target listings that have lingered on the market for an extended period. Sellers with long-standing listings may be more inclined to negotiate on pricing. Additionally, consider exploring properties up for auction. Auctions present a fruitful avenue for discovering affordable land, with properties frequently selling below market value. Prior to participating, ensure you grasp the auction process and comprehend the terms and conditions before making a bid.
Another avenue for unearthing economical property in Arkansas is exploring distressed properties. Distressed properties, encompassing foreclosures or short sales, often come with discounted price tags. While these properties may necessitate some enhancements, they can prove to be a lucrative asset with judicious investment. You can scout for distressed properties on real estate websites and via local banking institutions and credit unions.
After identifying potential properties, conducting comprehensive due diligence is crucial prior to extending an offer. Consider engaging a land surveyor to define property boundaries and flag any potential concerns like easements or zoning limitations. Additionally, research the locality where the land is situated, including insights into the local education system, crime statistics, and property valuations.
When tendering an offer on a piece of land, be prepared to engage in negotiations with the seller. Initiate discussions with a modest offer and be willing to step away if the seller demonstrates reluctance to negotiate. Offering to make a swift cash payment or expedited closure can serve as potent incentives for the seller to accept your offer. Ensure all agreements are documented in writing and encompass contingencies like professional inspections and financing approval.
In tandem with negotiations, explore financing options for securing land in Arkansas. You can apply for a conventional mortgage, a specialized land loan, or contemplate seller financing. Seller financing can be an advantageous route for acquiring budget-friendly land, enabling you to make monthly payments directly to the seller sans involving a bank. Scrutinize the financing agreement terms, encompassing interest rates, repayment structures, and penalties for early settlement.
Post land acquisition, contemplate the long-term investment potential. If your land purchase is oriented towards development or investment, weigh the prospects for appreciation over time. For personal utilization like home construction or farming ventures, assess the costs associated with enhancements such as land clearing, infrastructure development, and permit procurement. Factor in these expenses, formulate a budget, and chart a clear plan for land utilization.
In conclusion, procuring inexpensive property in Arkansas is feasible with diligent investigation, thorough preparation, and adept negotiation prowess. By collaborating with a local real estate specialist, scouring online listings, exploring distressed properties, and pondering financing alternatives, you can unearth economic land that meets your financial plan and aspirations. Undertake meticulous research, engage in seller negotiations, and chart a definitive plan for land utilization. Armed with the right approach, you are poised to acquire a slice of the enigmatic Natural State and relish all that Arkansas has to offer.

2024.05.19 07:55 Bow-tied_Engineer a couple fic ideas I don't have time for.

I had a couple of different ideas around Human vets/doctors, but I already have way too many fics on my plate, so I'll throw them out here, and let people run with them if they like.
The first idea basically boils down to a veterinary surgeon saving a Dossur stampede victim by doing an emergency surgery. I don't have the time to research what specifically it could be, but basically the Dossur is injured, and the Human can tell they're going to die without immediate surgery. Sterilizes the area with some Venlil booze, opens up the Dossur, does tiny surgery, and saves their life. She sticks around while they recover, and they are amazed both at the fact she didn't eat them, and at the fact that someone so big could operate on someone so small with no mechanical assistance. She explains that, as a vet, she's operated on everything from horses to hamsters, and while it was very difficult operating blind on tiny alien biology, animal surgeons actually have to be better than Human surgeons in some contexts, though the stakes are lower, because they can't specialize in one lifeform, and frequently have to operate on smaller creatures. Could be a oneshot or the start of a series, but either way, I only came up with one scene from the second half of the first chapter, and don't have time to wrap a story around it.
The second is much less complicated, but would have to be done either by someone with medical knowledge, or a willingness to look up lots of stories of medical things going wrong. Basically, Human and Zurulian doctors chatting, and the Humans thoroughly horrify the Zurulians with stories of things going wrong in the medical field. Stories of patients waking up mid procedure, of patents who refused to come in until large portions of their bodies were literally rotting off, stories of accidents caused by working shifts so long the nurses were about to pass out, that sort of thing. It'd make a fun oneshot, but I don't have the time to do it the hard way or the knowledge to do it the easy way, so I can't do it.

2024.05.19 07:23 halyasgirl What were the horse breeding practices of monastic stud farms in the Middle Ages, especially the Carthusian orders that bred Andalusian horses?

I was sent here from history, thanks so much for any help, I appreciate it!
From what I understand, in Europe in the Middle Ages, stud farms and the organized breeding of horses were established by monastic orders, as their literacy allowed them to keep records, and, especially in Spain, the practice of recording pedigrees was taken from the Muslim world (Bennett 1998) (Bennett 2008). I also found some information on later horse breeding programs by Spanish kings, however, would anyone be able to help me find information about what the day to day running of monastic stud farms would be like?
(Note: my information is biased toward Spain as that's where I've found most of my information so far, but I am interested in the horse breeding practices of monastic stud farms more generally and if anyone has any good information from other locations please don't hesitate to share!)
My questions include:
My sources so far:
(The last two sources aren't specifically about medieval horse breeding)

2024.05.19 07:13 Ok_Personality_8915 Feeling weird about work

Hi I'm a new grad nurse working in ICU. I've been on my own for about a month now and I'm having extreme anxiety about going to work. I didn't feel this way on orientation. I just feel so disorganized and am afraid to miss something important about my patients. I feel like as soon as I have everything going smoothly something goes wrong, and then I'm playing catch up with charting and tasks for the rest of my shift. Often I'm staying late to finish charting so it makes me feel like my time management is bad. It's making me wonder if this is the right unit for me but I loved it during orientation. If anyone has any tips or can share similar experiences I would really appreciate it. I feel like it's just me.

2024.05.19 05:26 rninthemakingg New grad need advice/feeling defeated?

I am new with no prior nursing experience and 8 weeks of orientation (off last 2 weeks) on a step down/progressive care floor. We take insulin/amio drips, bipap etc. 3-4 patients. I almost regret starting on a higher acuity floor and not med surg because I feel like I am not prepared to be taking care of these sick of patients. I had a ESRD patient (in for something unrelated to kidneys) who started tanking in BP and had to page provider almost ICU status, and got chewed out for not checking PRN midodrine/albumin orders. Hard enough for me to stay on top of looking up my scheduled meds and their indications as it feels like I’m still learning pharm on the job even after school. So PRN is definitely overlooked when I am looking up the patient. I also have horrible time management and am staying 2+ hours to chart because I feel like I’m in the rooms the whole time with all of my patients. Does it ever get better? Any tips for time management? I feel like I barely know what is going on with my patients or have time to look at provider notes even remember what I got told in report because I am so busy with tasks :( worried I will get in a code situation and not even be able to spurt out a history about my patient with the provider

2024.05.19 04:58 alicia_501 trenta sized rant abt my manager

we’re just going to talk to the DM and see if something can be done but here’s the list of everything wrong with her
-she was an outside hire, she worked at chick fil a before this and got hired as an assistant store manager with no starbucks knowledge at all
-she said that she’s jealous of her boyfriends friend because even though his friend claims to be a lesbian, “she’s not because she’s been with men before” (we have several lesbian employees including myself)
-she said bisexuals are just confused
-she left broken glass in boh knowingly for a few days and nonchalantly told me to sweep it up because she had been stepping on it the last few mornings
-she comes back from every break late and lies about it on our punch log
-she told my 19 year old coworker that her boyfriend is jealous of him because she tells him so much abt my coworker
-she threw the phone on the ground after a partner callout and said “i can’t do this anymore, i can’t call out like these little teenage girls because there’s no one to cover for me and once mean (enter her name here) comes out there’s no more nice (name) anymore”
-she’s been a partner for 5 months and asked if the cup gets filled up all the way for a drink with light ice (she had a venti strawberry açaí lemonade with a lid already on it, cup half full) and when i went “yeah someone’s gonna complain about that” she went “well i don’t know what the policy is” MAAM YOURE THE MANAGER YOU SHOULD
-she left us with no keyholder during mother’s day bogo for almost 3 hours because she scheduled herself off for that time and didn’t schedule any shift lead during then, and tried to have one of our baristas take charge when he wouldn’t even be compensated because he’s not a shift lead, it’s not his job. one of our new shift leads walked in while it was happening because she needed the keys to open the next morning and when she realized we didn’t have a keyholder she got in the floor to help us. she called the district manager and he did absolutely nothing about it. she came back late too. she texted the shift lead that tried to coach her about not going without a keyholder for more than 30 mins and our manager texted her later that our shift lead “didn’t make a very good first impression” SHE CAME TO CLEAN UP YOUR MESS
this is only a portion of it but my phone is starting to glitch because i’ve written so much. i just hope our new district manager does something about this because our store is going to be in the trenches under her management
