I am desperately seeking advice. For the first time in my life, i’m at a complete loss. I’ve pretty much became paralyzed (not literally) from stress & overthinking. I’d like to share my story in hopes of getting some positive feedback & finding a way to move forward.
I’m a 38M living in CA. I have a wife & two small children. I’ve been an entrepreneur my whole life.
I closed all my businesses down 5 years ago due to a business partnebest friend cooking the books & robbing me blind.
I lost everything. my primary residence, my rental property, my cars. At 33, I was left unemployed & in massive debt (owed credit cards, unpaid taxes). Credit took a massive hit, as the landlords & creditors came after me.
With nothing to my name, a wife, and a 4 year old daughter, I had to think fast to survive.
I have no college degree, as I was an entrepreneur since middle school & opened my first business right after high school (a dollar store).
I figured I needed to get into sales, as it was the closest thing to running your own business, and it was the thing where I could make the best possible income as a 33 yr old man with no college degree.
With my last $500 to my name, I got a job at a auto dealership. I busted my tail off. I worked at that dealership for 5 years, and was a top 3 salesman out of 20 every year. I made over 100k my first year, and always beat my previous year income. 2023 I made 140k.
I was feeling great. My confidence was back, as I paid all my debt down. I have about 15k total debt left. I owed close to 200k in taxes & credit card debt. Bankruptcy was not an option, as most of my debt was tax related, and my lawyer told me those would not be cleared (long story here. Payroll taxes were involved).
2 months ago, the dealership changed their pay plan (go figure). It was such s bad plan, that if I had the same year I did in 2023, I would make about 75k, rather than 140k. I got into it with my manager & the owners son. I overreacted, but I just felt that I had to, as we were getting robbed. I walked out of the job.
At this current moment, i am unemployed & I just dont know what to do. I just completed & received my life & health insurance license. However, I lost motivation because insurance is such s long term play. I’m going to have some rough years to hopefully reap the benefits of insurance sales.
What do I do guys? I have 15k debt, and no retirement. I only got about 25k saved up.

With my last $500 to my name, I got a job at a auto dealership. I busted my tail off. I worked at that dealership for 5 years, and was a top 3 salesman out of 20 every year. I made over 100k my first year, and always beat my previous year income. 2023 I made 140k.
I was feeling great. My confidence was back, as I paid all my debt down. I have about 15k total debt left. I owed close to 200k in taxes & credit card debt. Bankruptcy was not an option, as most of my debt was tax related, and my lawyer told me those would not be cleared (long story here. Payroll taxes were involved).
2 months ago, the dealership changed their pay plan (go figure). It was such s bad plan, that if I had the same year I did in 2023, I would make about 75k, rather than 140k. I got into it with my manager & the owners son. I overreacted, but I just felt that I had to, as we were getting robbed. I walked out of the job.
At this current moment, i am unemployed & I just dont know what to do. I just completed & received my life & health insurance license. However, I lost motivation because insurance is such s long term play. I’m going to have some rough years to hopefully reap the benefits of insurance sales.
What do I do guys? I have 15k debt, and no retirement. I only got about 25k saved up.

I (22M) moved out of my parents house last October. I found a beautiful 3 bedroom that I’m sharing with 3 other people. Sal (20M), Alex (19M), and Frank (22M).
After about 7 months of of living together, I was having a conversation with another friend about how we were splitting the rent, and he pointed out that I had been effectively paying rent for Alex and Frank, based on the way we had calculated the split.
As a result of this, I came to them with a proposal, looking to start a conversation towards maybe finding a more fair and equitable split. It ended with both Alex and Frank requesting to move out, before the end of our 12-month lease. This is fine with both myself and the landlord, as long as we found a replacement.
Now, at some point I messed up, and told them that I had a friend, Bill (23M), ready to move in the next month.
They proceeded to sign a new lease at a new place, and Bill told me he needed another month. The issue is that Bill never signed anything taking over responsibility for the lease.
Today, Alex and Frank are angry at me for “screwing them over”, when in my opinion they jumped the gun and moved too quickly. Now, I understand that I communicated something verbally, but is it my responsibility to also remind them that the paperwork needs to be completed here before they sign anything new?
What should I do? AITAH in this situation? Should we split it evenly, go 50/50, or have one side pay all of it?

So this is a situation I never imagined. My wife and I received a call from our daughter in law "D" late in the evening, asking to talk to us and stating that she did not feel safe. My stepson "R" was not at the house with her. We got there as quickly as we could. I stayed outside in case R came home, assuming it had to do with him.
D told my wife that R has been having multiple affairs using Tinder, and that one of the girls has been taunting her about it through Instagram. He has made these threats in front of our granddaughter, and she is scared of him. D has a 2.5 year old daughter and is currently 8 months pregnant with another. She is from South america and barely speaks any english. R has refused to teach her to drive, isolating her in the house. She has no access to any of R's money. He told her he is leaving and expects her to go back to her home country and will not pay child support. He intends to default on the house and said he doesn't care what she does after that.
As of today, he packed his bags to move in with another woman he met at work. He refuses to tell D where he will be living.

Not sure where to turn to for help but I came across this so I’ll try here also. I’m 40 yrs old and lost my job and have been struggling to find work. I’ve exhausted my savings and now am stuck in a very rough spot. I’ve managed to find some side work that’s helped me take care of bills thank god. But when it comes to my 11 year old daughter I’ve been fighting off depression in regards to being able to get her some things that she wants. I’ve been going to the food pantries and like I said with the side work I’ve thankfully been able to keep the bills somewhat managed and not facing eviction or disconnections yet. So we’re skating by when it comes to necessities ie lights water food etc. I would be extremely grateful if by some miracle anybody could bless me with a few bucks that I would be able to treat my daughter to some things that she would really enjoy that go beyond the necessities. I’ve been trying to obtain the funds to have anything extra after bills to use for her but it’s been a losing effort as the bills exceed what I’ve been able to find. When the dam failed, the flood struck several communities immediately downstream, particularly Wilford at the terminus of the canyon, Sugar City, Salem, Hibbard, and Rexburg. Thousands of homes and businesses were destroyed. The small agricultural communities of Wilford and Sugar City were wiped from the river bank. Five of the 11 deaths attributed to the flood occurred in Wilford. The similar community of Teton, on the south bank of the river, is on a modest bench and was largely spared. One Teton resident was fishing on the river at the time of the dam failure and was drowned. An elderly woman living in the city of Teton died as a result of the evacuation. An estimated 80% of existing structures were damaged in the Hibbard and Rexburg area, whose population was about 10,000. The Teton River flows through the industrial, commercial, and residential districts of north Rexburg. Much of the damage in the area was done by thousands of logs dislodged from a lumber yard. Dozens of them hit a bulk gasoline-storage tank a few hundred yards away. The gasoline ignited and sent flaming slicks adrift on the racing water. The force of the logs and cut lumber and the subsequent fires practically destroyed the town. The flood waters traveled west along the route of the Henrys Fork of the Snake River, around both sides of the Menan Buttes, damaging the community of Roberts. At the older American Falls Dam downstream, engineers increased discharge by less than 5% before the flood arrived.[23] That dam held and the flood was effectively over, but tens of thousands of acres of land near the river were stripped of fertile topsoil. The force of the failure destroyed the lower part of the Teton River, washing away riparian zones and reducing the canyon walls. After about 7 months of of living together, I was having a conversation with another friend about how we were splitting the rent, and he pointed out that I had been effectively paying rent for Alex and Frank, based on the way we had calculated the split.
As a result of this, I came to them with a proposal, looking to start a conversation towards maybe finding a more fair and equitable split. It ended with both Alex and Frank requesting to move out, before the end of our 12-month lease. This is fine with both myself and the landlord, as long as we found a replacement.
Now, at some point I messed up, and told them that I had a friend, Bill (23M), ready to move in the next month.
They proceeded to sign a new lease at a new place, and Bill told me he needed another month. The issue is that Bill never signed anything taking over responsibility for the lease.
Today, Alex and Frank are angry at me for “screwing them over”, when in my opinion they jumped the gun and moved too quickly. Now, I understand that I communicated something verbally, but is it my responsibility to also remind them that the paperwork needs to be completed here before they sign anything new?
What should I do? AITAH in this situation? Should we split it evenly, go 50/50, or have one side pay all of it?

hello! this is my first time posting here, so i apologize if anything is a bit muddled. i live in new york (not in the city), and am currently subletting from a friend. however, the landlord is refusing my access to my esa, stating that it's just a house rule (with no given reason). on top of this, most of the house is not up to code. how should i move forward? we've gotten proof from my other housemates that he only targets me on this, not interrogating any other subletter or asking for things like ssn or background checks (i'm only here for a few months). this is all because i have a medically required esa, and when he was confronted on this, he only doubled down, threatened to evict and cancel my friend's lease (without notifying them), was hostile towards me, and when confronted on ada law, refused to acknowledge it and actively is trying to bar me from housing because of my necessary accommodation. what's the best way to go about this situation? i'm just extremely worried as he's only been targeting me. he lives out of state, but has some other people who have access to the house (who he also doesn't disclose to the tenants) so i'm also worried about my safety. thanks so much!

I've come for passport verification to police station and I've rent agreement of this year, but he's asking for year before that too, but from July to August I did not make the agreement last year as my landlord has gone to his native for his family land problems. I rented a new place from Jan this year but police officer says he can't pass this, I asked him can you please give me some solution and he's like no solution. So my question is, should I be waiting a year compulsory? No way around it?
Also he asked for my parents, place of birth proof, my parents are born and bought up in villages, illiterates, my mom has her baptism certificate which is 1975, other than that there's no other documents proof of their birth place, because both of them later shifted to city after marriage.
It'd be really helpful if I could get some insights as to how to handle this situation or is there any other documentation I could give in it's place.

Firstly i know i am an idiot that I believed in the typical FedEx scam call, as I was not aware of this scam.
i have been an ICICI bank customer for past 9 years, never knew this relationship will turn into an absolute nightmare.After a very distressing call/video call from the people claiming to be FedEx customer support/Cybercrime/Narcotics Bureau(with fake ID proofs) on 24th April. I was coerced into transferring Funds worth 10L.With my ICICI bank account details, the fraudsters raised a Loan of INR 10 Lakh. The loan was sanctioned without my knowledge or consent. The bank officials did not contact me and verify it before processing the loan. I didn't receive a single phone call, or i haven't made any requests asking for loan. The loan got approved and transferred to my account (which I was completely unaware of as my funds were less than INR 10k) while i was in call with the scammers. I was threatened with money Laundering and Drugs case as he claimed that money is illicit, hence needs to be transferred immediately as i was unable to justify the source of the funds. By inducing fear as I was not aware about the funds where abouts i was coerced to transfer that amount to the SBI account . The scammers/Bank has then closed my banking service and debit card immediately after the transfer and I suspected something was wrong and went to bank and realized that personal Loan of 10L has been sanctioned. within 2 hours i raised a cybercomplaint and bank complaint. Submitted the Signed dispute form with the bank the same day. Next day morning FIR was raised with Cyberabad police.
Now here is where i might have neglected : I had shared the screen to show all my bank transactions that i dont have any money laundering happening in my account, He might have taken the otp from screen. He logged into my netbanking and disbursed the loan.
It is shocking that the bank processed such a huge personal loan without bothering to confirm and verify. This huge negligence as they are able to manage several marketing calls everyday but unable to verify. Upon verifying the loan documents sent to my email, I discovered they lack essential information such as my salary, employment, Signatures. This account was opened as a student account while i was studying in college, and the status of this account was automatically upgraded to Privileged account without my consent/request. I hardly have 20-30 transactions yearly on that account. How can banks be so negligent with the verification process as there are several cybercrimes happening everyday.After multiple communications with the bank, they are still insisting me to pay the EMIs. The lack of verification from the bank has raised a huge financial and mental burden. This is very alarming that bank is not willing to admit that their verification process is very weak and putting liability (of loan EMI) on customers while scammers are running free. The bank is still investigating the issue but not willing to hold the EMI.After connecting with the SBI bank i got in hold of the fraudsters account statement for that day and realized there are worth 1.2 CR fraud happened on that same account and 6 complaints has been raised.out of these transactions around 1 CR worth of transactions are from ICICI bank (Not sure if complete or partial was loan). I suspect the Account data is getting leaked from the Bank. All those 6 complaints are more that 10L worth of transactions.
Upon reviewing the loan documents they have incorrect information that i belong to PEP category, salary not mentioned, Employer not mentioned. RBI says that PEP category should be verified by higher officials of the bank.
Need legal advice if i stand a chance in not paying the EMIs, the penalties will build up. I have a FIR copy, all fraud transactions that happened in that account, The loan documents are not correct, My device was not used to digitally sign the documents, my location was different. Will bank take legal procedings with me if i dont repay.
Please please suggest, i am having a huge mental, emotional breakdown.
