Hii Everyone
Background :29 year old male ,active and athetic before incident happened on 25/7/23 ;had few drinks nasty fall ended up tearing acl ,mcl,pcl and mesicus tear as per initial report from MRI .. did moderate level physiotherapy as I was on waiting for surgery . Meantime working fulltime for 10 months ,knee clicks ,mild pain from left pain and right hip pain ,did not jogg nor run throughout 10 months . Was limping And can feel left leg weak , Wait wait long time wait for surgery . Finally got surgery date after 10 months .
Surgery done today . Woke up and asked about procedure . Surgeon and dr told while doing surgery acl was intact , pcl and knee was stable . Have taken out a small part of menicus ligamnet only as it was not repairable .had applied for annual leave for 6 week ,now told once nerve block weans off can return back to normal activities . By the way in live in Aus …. Any suggestions .. what is happening .. ?

I'm about to host a new spec evo project in discord. It's of a inter planetary system. (Btw this isn't connected to any of my novels)
I'm planning to take specbio to a whole another level. What the idea is is to try to concatonate theoretical physics, wild idea, and more with specevo to create a sci-fi world. It's like Neutrinos, space warping, and shi (hopefully).

I just finished the chapter 2 part 2 main game trial with the option to kill Sou or Kanna. Dont know how much this matters, but Alice died in the first part also.
Although I love Kanna, I was extremely intrigued by being able to let Sou live instead, and I figured I'd see what happens by voting for Kanna and letting her die. But now that I've gone through with it, I'm not entirely sure if I want to go through with this route. I have a save set right before when voting started, so I have one last chance to change my answer.
So for a first playthrough... Without giving anything important away about what happens next, do you think I should change my answer...?

So I’ve had a pair of Jib earbuds since about early 2021 and around early 2023 the little rubber buttons on either earbud started coming apart, the left one having lost it’s button after I accidentally dropped it on the sidewalk not too many days after I had noticed the buttons falling apart, and fairly recently (within the last month) the right one’s button also fell apart fully, leaving the tiny motherboard-like piece in them exposed. In the 3 years I’ve had them I had never had a problem with them until today when they both stopped playing audio for a few seconds before resuming like nothing had happened. Fast forward to about five minutes later when I’m taking them both out of my ears to shut them off and go to sleep for the night and I notice there’s a strange object in the right one I hadn’t seen before in either earbud (see first image). I checked the left one and it somewhat also had it but it was much smaller and harder to notice (see second image). If anyone has any idea what it is and if there’s something that can be done about it or if it’s a possible safety or health risk at all please let me know.

This is because I believe that to maintain a streak of kills (my top one is 16), players don’t have time to wait for the healing to start and lose the streak.
I find that it is also a high risk high reward situation since you are exposed and attracting everyone’s attention.
Giving special skins to extreme challenges
Having challenges that are really difficult to achieve give out skins. This would be a deserved bragging right and show people you are special. It would also incentivize people to play to get it.
I got addicted to Krunker (now lvl 119) because I was trying to get to lvl 50 to unlock the raygun secondary. Giving people stretch goals gives them a hook to keep playing until it becomes innate.
Increasing knife movement speed
Often in Gungame I find that I run the same speed with the knife as someone using an SMG. Not only does this make the knife a bigger challenge, but it also doesn’t seem to make sense.
Make logging in faster
Can you include a cookie that remembers my login info so that I do not need to input it each time? Or atleast allow me to enter my name, TAB to enter password and ENTER to login instead of having to select the fields and button?
Including the Knife in GunGame
I imagine that this was done intentionally, but not having the capability of pulling out the knife to either move faster or to demote someone seems like a regression instead of progress.
The PKM and RPG have such painfully slow movement speed that pulling out the knife would be worth an integration even if it couldnt be used to demote.

Hi all. I have two questions I’m hoping you can help with. The first three photos were taken from an estimator, so the comments noted are what they intended on doing.
First issue/background: We bought this house a month ago and weren’t too concerned about the dip from the garage to the driveway, but now we are. We are in Iowa, so the brutal weather has us thinking we need to take some steps. On the left side, there is a 2” drop from the garage to the driveway. On the right. It’s about 1-1.5”. The driveway is in immaculate condition otherwise, and the previous owners poured the third slab with everything was settled. What is the best way to fix this? We’ve gotten quotes for Polyfoam and mud jacking. That seems a viable option for us, but I’m worried it doesn’t work?
Second issue: The garage floor is deteriorated at the opening and makes it so the overhead doesn’t sit even. What is the best fix for this? My worry is that it will be exposed to snow and rain, a simple patch won’t hold up. Or maybe it will?

it felt like the right thing to do, but now that he's left, i think i'm just starting to process the split. it's like the second he closed the door, the world caved in on me. it feels like maybe i'm making the wrong decision? i don't know.

okay major issue. my sister and i were at the end of Act 2 on PS5, literally right about to battle ketheric. i am romancing gale, but she was linked to him and we wanted me to be able to have the special cut scene with him. since we weren’t able to go back to camp, she left the game so i could link him to me. after i did that, my sister tried to rejoin but now it won’t let her. it’ll pop up on screen that she joined, 30 seconds later it will say she left, and then she’ll get kicked from the PS party. we have been at this for hours. changed my online status, turned off the cloud save thing in settings, went back to a save file before any of this happened, etc. tested to see if she could join an entirely new game of mine, and she can. i can join her on her game as well. we are out of ideas. please help.

So I took my first road trip with the M3LR. I have had for 1 months. I love this car, it’s the end of a 2 year plan to purchase a Tesla. So I was beyond happy with the 250 mile trip I took. Navigation planning and trip battery % estimates were extremely accurate. While at my destination I received my 30 day FSD trial. Sooooo why not give it a whirl on the return trip. I was actually impressed with most of the decisions the car made. I had 2 instances where it did mess up.
Looking forward to many more trips on this car, outside of my daily 60 mile commute.

- Missed an off ramp and added 6 miles to the the drive. Forgivable as there was a lot of construction with multiple lines present at exit.
- This one was different, a semi truck started to come into my lane (left) on a two lane freeway. The car blinked red on the right side camera, but took no evasive action. I had to steer left as the semi drifted over the white line and accelerate to get ahead of his drifting. Speed limit 80mph and I hit 94. At which time the the car blinked red at my speed and disables FSD for the trip. Not sure what the car would have done had I not taken over, but I felt like for my safety that I had too.
Looking forward to many more trips on this car, outside of my daily 60 mile commute.

From what I was able to understand it kind of depends on the sellestore, and that if they have a particular policy it must be clearly displayed before purchase. But what does it mean to be "clearly displayed?"
I'm asking because I purchased a game from Blizzard, but I had trouble making the game work and while I tried to figure things out, the game logged in data that it was being used. After being "used" (me doing some basic troubleshooting) for 2 hours, Blizzard deemed the purchase non-refundable because it had been used too much even though I hadn't actually played. I'm not the only one that had to deal with this issue as the game had a bunch of known bugs that made the game difficult to run properly.
So in that case it's not entirely my fault because the developers had sold me broken/incomplete software right? How can Blizzard get away with this kind of behavior? I would really appreciate someone's knowledge about this.
For example, when another game called Cyberpunk 2077 was released for the Playstation 4, it was so buggy that Sony decided to give everyone who had purchased the game a full refund and removed the game from the online store so that no one else could purchase it again.
How could someone argue that a piece of a software is functional and any issues that arise are due to user error rather than the company selling it? Or that the software is faulty and it's up to the company to either refund the customer's money or guarantee a fix. Car manufacturer's are allowed to do huge recalls on their cars with faults, and at the same time you can return most electronics that arrive dead on arrival. I just can't seem to find any laws that go deeper into the subject of software returns/refunds laws in California and would appreciate any insight. Thank you!

I am an 18 year old online college student and I've always had a bit of trouble making friends and being able to keep them. My anxious tendency's make it hard for me to fully understand why someone would truly want to be my friend. I'm in therapy trying to work this my issues and trying to find better ways of communication. While I've only been in therapy for a short while I, personally, feel like made a ton of progress. I have contacted old friends and have made a couple new ones. I wouldn't go as far to say that I don't struggle with responding but I eventually will.
A big part of my anxiety is that I might take up "too much space", that my behavior would be "too much", that I would be annoying, and ultimately that people would hate be and I'd be lonely. My anxiety sometimes blinds me and I can't tell who I can and can't trust. I see the word alone being used a lot when people use it to describe how they feel but I don't feel alone. The word alone in the dictionary reads "having no one present" and the work lonely in the dictionary reads "without companions; solitary; cut off from others". I believe that the word lonely fits the description of my feeling better than alone. I know that I enjoy my alone time - my space - but for a long time I couldn't tell the difference between the two.
The first time I ever really felt my anxiety was in middle school. My younger self was much more open and optimistic than I am now. I still had that child-like wonder and sense of safety; like nothing could ever go wrong. I wish that feeling never left. As it is for most people, middle school was horrible. I remember being eccentric, happy, and very talkative. This was a direct hit for those "mean girl clicks" everyone had encountered in middle school. At that time I never really understand how cruel the world could truly be. This was the moment I truly felt the anxiety click in, hearing people talk behind your back then be so loving and caring to your face.I won't say that I am a saint because I know that I have also had rude conversations behind peoples backs and I can say nothing eats me alive more then knowing how rude I was. I know that it is almost impossible to get people to not talk about you behind your back, it happens to everyone but this never stopped me from trying.
Those "mean girl clicks" used to talk about how I'm too loud, annoying, they hated my hair, the way I dressed, etc. And I can positively say this went on with me though my entire life. I started dressing in all black, I would speak unless spoken to, I would keep my opinion to myself unless cued otherwise; I did all of this and more just to try and keep the attention off of me. I would keep a book with me at all times so I didn't disrupt anyone so that wouldn't be annoying. I was so fearful of seeing self-centered, being too much to handle, annoying, egotistical, and entitled to how much damage I was doing to my self worth in the long run. I wanted to so anything to avoid being those words because I thought that it would earn me friends; I thought that it would finally make me worthy.
All of this is to say that this was of living followed me though my life. Anytime someone needed something I was the first to volunteer, I wanted to help everyone in every way I could, I wanted to be a natural friend of people. A neutral friend - someone who was like enough to keep around but not noticeable enough to be talked about behind their back. I did this with everyone I met at school, work, family, etc. With this my therapist has helped me open up more and I've gotten more comfortable with myself and the fact that it's okay for me to take up space. However, I am still very aware of how I am acting and how I might be perceived. I think three times about what I am going to say before I say it to make sure I don't say anything that can hurt someone. Does it still accidentally happen, yes, but I am always empathic about it and I always apologize.
I have been in a bit of a job switch recently and I am working with people much older than me and I have had a hard time with management. My most recent bosses and have rude, unforgiving, and disrespectful. Now I understand that not all jobs will be perfect and for the most part you just have to deal with it but as I've said above I take comments that are made to me seriously. I know this can be a bad thing to do but my anxiety had a tendency to pick it up and run with it. My employer makes the schedule on a monthly basis, I am a full-time employee, and for the past two months I have worked 20-25 days each month and now the new schedule (June) I am only scheduled to work for 11 days. With quick math working 11 days can't pay my car insurance let alone the car note. I was understandably, in my opinion, upset and I took it up with them the next day so that I was not speaking out of anger in the moment. When I brought it up to my employer the next morning they told me that 30% of my productivity can from them helping me and the other 70% came from me working alone. I was essentially told that my productivity level was too low and that if I wanted to work more then I need to "prove myself". This honestly stirred a lot of my past worried and anxieties about never be good enough and not being worthy. And while that's not what was explicitly said it is what my anxiety heard.
When I finally got home (I live with a relative) they asked me what was wrong and I had explained the situation with that and I that I felt like I was being productive and trying my hardest. They had brought up the idea that my productivity level might be the issue and when I asked further I was met with one of the more gut-wrenching comments I have ever had anyone say about me. They told me that I act entitled. I have been called many things but for be being called entitled, one of the very things I have tried so hard not to be, it completely broke me inside. I have entered a few inserts below about my "Being Entitled" search.

They still never apologized and I truly don't think that they will. I've been dwelling on their comment about me being entitled everyday. And everyday it makes me more and more anxious, I've noticed myself being more secluded to avoid stepping on anyones toes. I think what I am looking for here is opinions that aren't mine or theirs. I know that was a lot to read but if you did I would appreciate some feedback. Do I seem entitled? Do I deserve an apology? How do I deal with something like this because I am completely lost.

Does it still accidentally happen, yes, but I am always empathic about it and I always apologize.
I have been in a bit of a job switch recently and I am working with people much older than me and I have had a hard time with management. My most recent bosses and have rude, unforgiving, and disrespectful. Now I understand that not all jobs will be perfect and for the most part you just have to deal with it but as I've said above I take comments that are made to me seriously. I know this can be a bad thing to do but my anxiety had a tendency to pick it up and run with it. My employer makes the schedule on a monthly basis, I am a full-time employee, and for the past two months I have worked 20-25 days each month and now the new schedule (June) I am only scheduled to work for 11 days. With quick math working 11 days can't pay my car insurance let alone the car note. I was understandably, in my opinion, upset and I took it up with them the next day so that I was not speaking out of anger in the moment. When I brought it up to my employer the next morning they told me that 30% of my productivity can from them helping me and the other 70% came from me working alone. I was essentially told that my productivity level was too low and that if I wanted to work more then I need to "prove myself". This honestly stirred a lot of my past worried and anxieties about never be good enough and not being worthy. And while that's not what was explicitly said it is what my anxiety heard.
When I finally got home (I live with a relative) they asked me what was wrong and I had explained the situation with that and I that I felt like I was being productive and trying my hardest. They had brought up the idea that my productivity level might be the issue and when I asked further I was met with one of the more gut-wrenching comments I have ever had anyone say about me. They told me that I act entitled. I have been called many things but for be being called entitled, one of the very things I have tried so hard not to be, it completely broke me inside. I have entered a few inserts below about my "Being Entitled" search.
Entitled - Adjective - Google Definition
- Believing oneself to be inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment.
- Feeling that you have the right to do or have what you want without having to work for it or deserve it just because you are who you are.
- Demanding special treatment, expecting others to do things for you, not showing gratitude, and the need for constant adornment.
- You see your own interest more interesting than others. See your goal and desires to be more valid than others. You disregard rules that are intended for everyones comfort.
- In many cases, describing someone as entitled may be a criticism of their behavior or attitude, suggesting that they display a lack of humility or an unrealistic sense of self-importance.
They still never apologized and I truly don't think that they will. I've been dwelling on their comment about me being entitled everyday. And everyday it makes me more and more anxious, I've noticed myself being more secluded to avoid stepping on anyones toes. I think what I am looking for here is opinions that aren't mine or theirs. I know that was a lot to read but if you did I would appreciate some feedback. Do I seem entitled? Do I deserve an apology? How do I deal with something like this because I am completely lost.

There exists a school of thought in football that says that the midfield is perhaps the most important part of the game and that if you can control the midfield, i.e. if you have the best players in those central positions, you will have the most important key to success. This line of thinking also suggests that we give too much emphasis on the goal scorers of the game - the Messis, the Ronaldos and the Mbappes. That's not because scoring goals isn't important - undoubtedly it requires supreme talent and undoubtedly it receives the most attention - but because games are ultimately won or lost in the battle for the midfield, the pivot between offense and defense in other words.
Some time ago, I had come across this particular tidbit about Barca:
With Xavi on the roster (not necessarily in the starting line-up), Barcelona made it to at least the Champions League semifinals a whopping 10 times (2000, 2002, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015). When I entered Rome, I was stopped at passport control and taken to an office, in which I had to explain where I will be staying in my time in Europe, and when I will be leaving. They explained that because Hungary rejected my visa in the past, it meant that I was put into those database. They allowed me to enter once I did that.
I left Budapest on the flight that I had indicated. They stopped and did things on a computer, plus had me sign a paper as I left, but did not really explain what they did.
I have now applied to a right to information to ask why my name is on the SIS database, so I could hopefully appeal to cancel it.
I since received back an indication that my name is not on the SIS database and there are no warning labels attached to my name.
I am really confused why this has happened? Could it be a different database? Or have they taken it off because I left when I did?

I don’t want to be here anymore. I hate every aspect of my life, the only thing I ever look forward to is getting high. I have no goals and no aspirations, nothing to work towards. I don’t have friends or a partner, and I don’t talk to my parents because they’re awful people. I don’t like people and I don’t want to make friends, but I’m still so painfully lonely. I’m only 20 and go to classes part time at my university, and I can’t even handle that, so I don’t know how I’m going to handle 45 years of working full time without getting more miserable than I already am. Every time I feel like I’ve hit rock bottom, things just somehow get worse. I feel like I’m not a real person, I don’t even know my personality anymore. People like me at first but then they always end up hating me. And the only reason I haven’t attempted suicide is because I don’t have the heart to leave my cat. I’m just in so much pain. I was suicidal as a kid as well but it’s so much worse now. I have no hope at all and no energy left, and being an independent adult makes it all 1000x harder to cope. I don’t care about myself or anything at all, except for my cat. Life doesn’t even feel real to me anymore, it just seems like an awful terrible game that I can’t get out of

Now let me preface this by saying that I loved dragons dogma 1. It had it's problems sure but it was amazing. Dragons dogma 2 gives me a few complaints that I need to get of my chest. For starters, character creation. Who in their right mind decided that incremental movement for sliders is enabled by holding the directional buttons? Seriously, the bumpers aren't even used. Second is the lack of quest markers for NPCs. It's something the first game did really well, letting you know who started quests, who had info, and who to turn it into. DD2 has nothing. While on the topic of quests. Not having bounty boards is really disappointing. It was a great way to make gold and earn exp between quests, and made me feel I was making progress towards something just by killing the random monsters I encounter on the roads. All these issues are super easy to fix, so I hope they do with a future update.

I got no for the first three questions and a yes and a no for the questions about their parents cars. Well they informed me they were simply testing my accuracy and I got the information wrong about their parent's cars so they couldn't trust a word I said.
I simply refunded them and canceled the order but I'm left questioning if I'm in the wrong. I followed my gut and my intuition but I also kind of felt like something was off from the start and I've never liked the idea of asking a reader a trick question or trying to test them. Should I just expect people to come up to me expecting to test my accuracy in future orders or am I right that this feels off? Long story, but let me give a quick explanation; I am part of a local D&D group for a small town, where I currently run 3 different capaigns, one for a group of preteens, a group of adults, and a group of seior citizens who have been playing their campaign since 1st Edition (I was offered to take over when their DM passed away in '21, and I fear this campaign will keep on going until I am in the retirement home). This story is from the Adult group.
Now, a while ago, I read a reddit post that explained how a DM was using gummy bears and candy as monster pieces, treating the players who deal the final blow with eating said piece of candy. Inspired by this, I added into my gameworld a chaotic god who is corrupting the land, turning people and creatues into evil twisted candy, that the party needs to either save or put down.
Earlier in May, I got my hands on something special, one that I know the party would lilove to tear into.
Now, the party (Ancient Paladin, Totem Barbarian, Life Cleric, Assasin Rogue, and Divi Wizard(the poor victim)) are all lvl9, but they are right on the edge of reaching Lvl10. Their current mission: reach the bottom of an ancient temple that may hold a weapon that once sealed the chaitic god. However, they are aware that the corruption has reached this temple, as they fight thru hordes of gummy worms to the center of the temple, where they find the big boss: a corrupted Guardian Naga, represented by a literal 1-foot long gummy worm I found online. And yes, it nearly did take up a good portion of the table, but every player was ready to claim that bounty.
The fight was mostly even, but about an hour into combat, the players visions of sweet victory were turning sour due to bad rolls: The Paladin was out of smites, the Cleric was out of healing spells, the Rogue was on their third death saving throw (2 success, one failed), the Wizard was out of spells, and the Barbarian was eaten by the Naga, and was slowly both drowning and taking acid damage. Everyone was under 10HP. The Wizard's turn was up, and after him, was the Naga's.
He turned to me, and asked "May I do a Rule of Cool?", which I have as a homebrew rule where if they believe they need to do something drastic that breaks the core ruling, but it would be so cool and lifesaving, I might allow it, with a monkey's paw consequences. "May I cast Wish?"
Now, due to complications of the plot, the party earlier got a hold of a Wizard's book that contained Wish, however he was way too underlevel, plus he was already out of spell slots. "Now why would I allow that?" I asked, putting on the best snarky judge look that I could muster.
"Well, my character is in desperation, the party may be doomed if I cannot stop this Naga here and now, at least two of my friends will die. My character will pay anything- hell, I will do anything for even that small chance to save them!"
Now, I took a quick look over the ruling of Wish. Written in the 5th edition, Wish does state "State your wish to the DM as precisely as possible. The DM has great latitude in ruling what occurs...", plus his character had that Wish spell for a few sessions, so theoretically he could try.
"Alright, tell me your wish, as best and clear as you can, and I may grant it. However, there will be consequences..."
"I Wish... that the Naga loses all of its magic and becomes just a regular gummy worm!"
Nice wish. I nod slowly, and stay quiet for a minute as the rest of the table chatters amongst themselves. I roll 2d10s behind my screen (a 8 and a 9), and I let out a soft sigh.
"As you make your wish... you feel every last bit of arcane energy surge inside of you, a hidden font of power that you have never felt before. And as all of your energy floods into the large Nage Gummy, the gelatin jiggles, wobbles, then falls, the Naga Gummy... now dead."
The table cheers in victory, the Barbarian handing the wizard the gummy worm for first bite. "However..." I stop him, grinning evilly. "As the rest of the party celebrates, you, Wizard, now feel yourself changing. You start to shrink in size as the party watches you vanish under your robes, leaving your gear and clothing in a pile on the ground."
"Wait, am I dead?"
"Oh no~ much, much worse~ You see, the consequences for your actions of using a powerful spell without proper safety measures and training resulted in some magical backlash~ And what has become of the Naga..." I reach down under the table, and pull out a fresh little gummy worm, handing it to him with the rest of the party staring in absolute horror "... has now been graced upon you~ You are now a sentient gummy worm~"
"Oh that is messed up!"
"No, you know whats messed up??" I show him the page I had kept the Gummy Naga's health tracked, revealing the Gummy Naga was at 3 HP left. All he needed to do was a simple Fire Bolt spell and he would of probably killed it. I, of course, laughed like a villain as the session winded down, and we ended for the night.
By the end of the week, Everyone in town heard about what I did to the Wizard, and now even the other groups are giving me shit for it. I'm not mad about it, but damn, now I can't even buy groceries without the local grocery clerk slipping me a free coupon for more gummy worms. And yes, I am now known as the town's "Evillest DM", and I am not even sure if its earned. But now, I think I will buy a few gummy Rats for an upcoming session...
