This will function as a one-stop guide to sound deaden the 3rd generation Mazda3. I believe it will be useful for any previous or next-gen Mazda3 owner, or anyone with a CX-30, as these platforms share many components.
Like others undertaking this project, I did a ton of research on sound deadening, the process, and the products first before jumping in. I would encourage anyone pursuing the same project to read through the links I’ve included in this write-up as they should give you all the information you need to sound-deaden your car in a comprehensive, easy manner, without having to do the weeks of research I had to do.

Materials Needed:
1. Butyl-based mat to apply first as your base layer
I used 72 square feet to do the entire car, including hood, wheel wells, full interior, rear hatch area, and all doors. I did not do the headliner.
Total cost: $200 CAD
I used 1 box of 2mm (80 mil) Kilmat, and 1 box of 2.5mm Amazon branded butyl sheets. I found the Kilmat had better adhesion and was easier to cut and work with, because of the smaller sheet sizes, so I used this for tight spaces and the doors. The Amazon stuff was great to apply to large areas such as the floor of the vehicle, because I would just stick one entire sheet down and be done with it. It’s also slightly cheaper than the Kilmat.
Other brands: Silless, which manufactures the closed cell foam, also makes this stuff for a reasonable price.

2. Closed cell foam as the second layer
I used 100 square feet.
Total cost: $200
I did a LOT of research and shopping around to find the best balance between price, value, and performance of closed cell foam. I ultimately landed on using Siless Liner 157mil (4mm) closed cell foam which I found on Amazon. Noico is also another brand that makes this stuff for slightly more cost. These come in boxes of 51 square feet for about $100. I thus bought two boxes of the stuff. I did end up with leftover product, which I have saved as it can be used to stick on anything else that causes noise such as a furnace, washing machine, etc along with the leftover butyl mat.

3. Rubber-based floor underlay as the final layer
I used a 100 square foot roll of Technoflex Underlayment Acoustic Membrane, 2mm thickness.

In Canada, you cannot find mass loaded vinyl. My goal was to find something relatively cheap and functional. I went to underlay because it’s sold in bulk and there are many products out there to compare effectiveness. Flooring underlay also has specific requirements in order to carry a particular sound deadening rating. It’s also rubber-based, like vinyl, so I figured I would just double up on layering as I had enough product to do so. I did end up doubling up the layering in most places and had leftover product.
Please note, this product is not adhesive. You lay it down like a blanket and you need to cut it to fit in tight spaces. Thus, I did not use it in vertical areas like the doors. I only used it on the floor and trunk of the vehicle. I am not technically inclined enough to adhere or screw it on the doors, but there are other people in the links on this thread who have done so, so depending on your skill level it is certainly possible.

All Tools Required

1. Socket set with 10mm socket and a Phillips screwdriver. I purchased a full socket set because I did not have one and found one on sale.
2. E-torx socket size 12 to remove the front seats. I just purchased a set of 8 for $20
3. Trim removal tool and plastic clip replacements, approx. $20. Extremely useful!!

   • The metal trim removal tool is worth its weight in gold. Trust me, there are a LOT of plastic trim pieces to remove, and this tool makes them very easy to remove properly without breaking anything. All cars nowadays use plastic trim, so it’s a worthwhile purchase if you’re ever going to do work on any future car as well.
   • I purchased the set above because it came with a whole array of trim removal tools as well as a huge variety of replacement plastic trim pieces. I ended up using a couple pieces that broke when I did the doors. The kit has everything you may need for most vehicles, including our Mazdas.
4. Rubber roller, $12. Useful for rolling down the butyl mat and closed cell foam.

5. Do yourself a favor and get some gloves. I used my bare hands for about 50% of the time, and they were sore, and had little nicks and cuts all over them by the time I was done. Much easier with gloves.

Skill Level
I have a general interest in cars but the most technical work I’ve ever done are oil changes and tire swaps. This was the largest and most technical project I ever embarked on. I work an office job, so I don’t even work with my hands a lot. If I can do it, so can you (as long as you set aside the time and have the proper tools).

Results
I did not take before-after videos, as that has been captured by videos on Youtube as well as people who have measured the noise levels in the threads below. All I can tell you is that this does work. In my opinion, the project even for a newb like me is totally worth it. For less than $500, and a couple days of work, you can make your Mazda feel like an entirely different vehicle.

Now, sounds and vibrations are barely transmitted going over rough roads. The car feels so much more planted and stable when going over bumps. The audio system sounds better. The doors close with a rich-sounding ‘thunk’. By far the biggest improvement is getting a whole new level of isolation within the car, which makes long trips so much more tolerable and the daily commute so much more relaxing. I would 100% do this again.

The project
Okay, let’s get to the project itself! I’ve broken up each area of the car into separate sections. As the write-ups below are fairly comprehensive, there is no need for me to reinvent the wheel.

Doors

Trunk
This is the easiest part of the whole project. If you’ve read the threads above, you don’t need any help with this. I did not do the hatch door. I do not think that is worth it, because if your trunk area is well insulated and you have your rear seat up, there’s not a lot of noise that’s going to get through the hatch door.

Interior
This is the part of the project that I had to figure out on my own, so I want to give several tips that will make it easier if you’re doing this.

~1. Removing the interior carpet:~
First vacuum the carpet.
You don't need to remove the entire console to get access to the majority of the floor. To remove the interior carpet, first remove the rear seat, then the front seats, then the interior plastic trim, and finally there are some pieces of Styrofoam in the front wheel wells. You can pull up the carpet for the left side of the vehicle as you work on that side, then tack it all down, and repeat for the right side of the vehicle.

~2. Removing the front seats~
First, disconnect the battery using the 10mm socket. This is recommended by the manufacturer to prevent accidental discharge of the air bags.
If you have the E-torx size 12 socket, removing the seat bolts is a breeze. I zipped them right off. Undo the back bolts, then slide the seat to its rearmost position, then remove the front bolts. Roll the seat onto it’s back to access the harness, undo the harness, then remove the front seat either from the front or rear door. It doesn’t matter.
Go to this site and download the PDF that Anchorman posted. That is all you need to know to remove the front harness. This was both the easiest and hardest thing about the project. Where I got stuck was removing the wiring harness from underneath the seat. Don’t be like me and stick a screwdriver in there, because that can damage the plastic. Instead, simply lift the white tab, press the tab underneath, and the harness comes off nice and easy. The link above with the PDF by Anchorman is what I WISHED I had at the start. I hope this will make it much easier for you.
Don’t be worried about the airbag going off etc. Using the diagram in the PDF, it’s just 1 harness and it comes off super easy and clips back in super easy too. It’s idiot-proof. You won’t have any trouble.

~3. Remove the interior plastic trim~
Again, watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aat4kUanm9w to see how to remove the trim and in what order. It’s actually quite easy and easy to reinstall as well. Just remember that the front and rear passenger scuff plates go on last. The other interior trim, does not matter what order you reinstall it.
Another tip, when removing the furthermost front inside trim (i.e the fusebox cover) and its equivalent on the front passenger side, there is a plastic nut securing that trim in place at the very front of it. It’s hard to see in there. Simply reach your hand in there, find the nut, and lefty-loosen it all the way until it comes off. Easy peasy!

~4. Remove the carpet~
You can pull up the carpet one side at a time. I recommend starting with the left side. In one area only, I cut through my carpet in order to remove it on the rear passenger areas, where it is affixed underneath the front seatbelt holder. This is not a problem. It was just easier this way, and because that area gets covered up by plastic trim, it doesn’t matter if you cut through it to make your life easier.
Once the carpet is lifted up, vacuum underneath it to ensure you have a clean surface that your butyl will adhere to.

~5. Do the driver’s side first!~
The front left side of the vehicle floor is the hardest to do because you have to contend with the footrest, reaching underneath the steering wheel, and the gas pedal. I removed the accelerator pedal – it is just held in place by two 10mm nuts, and then an electrical harness that easily clips off. Remove it and set it aside. Then, lift the carpet and remove the Styrofoam. Use a needlenose plyer to help unclip the plastic portion holding the Styrofoam in place. I did not end up reinstalling that plastic piece, as I installed sound deadener where it would have plugged into the floor. No harm.
I suggest doing the driver’s side first because once you’re done that front left area, the rest of the car is super easy. So do this while you’re fresh. Try to cover as much as you can in the front wheel wells, because that is a significant area of incoming road noise. Be systematic about cutting the butyl and closed cell foam in the correct sizes here, as you will have to reinstall the gas pedal, the Styrofoam, and the carpet properly. The good news is that it’s all easy to reinstall. I didn’t have any trouble.
Once you’re done with the driver’s compartment, systemically work your way with large butyl sheets and closed cell foam through the rest of the car floor. There is no need to apply this stuff up where the plastic trim will be reinstalled, on the inside lateral frame of the car – if you do so, it might be more difficult to reinstall the carpet and the plastic trim. Just do the flat bottom floor only, and you can hold the carpet up to access up along the centre console as well. (Keep in mind this is written for someone with my skill level – i.e newb. If you are more advanced and know what you’re doing, then go ahead and put some butyl or CCM in the inside lateral area, the area otherwise covered up with plastic trim).
I did not go for 100% coverage. To do that would take a lot longer. I went for about 90% coverage with the butyl and closed cell foam, and the rubber Technoflex layers covered up pretty well 95% of the area.
When you are laying the material down, ensure not to cover the holes for the seat bolts. If you do by accident, no worries – just use a screwdriver to poke through them, and you can easily still thread the bolt through when you go to reinstall your front seats.
Repeat the same steps on the right side of the vehicle.

~6. Reinstall the plastic trim.~
First reinstall the carpet and ensure all the holes line up. Reinsert the plastic clips into the holes to hold the carpet in place. Then, reinstall the frontmost trim piece, ensuring it clicks into place, and finally screw the plastic nut on. You may need to lift the rubber insert around the door to replace the plastic trim properly – the rubber insert comes off and goes on very easily, it is very forgiving to work with.
Then, install the B pillar trim piece. Then, the inside rear trim piece. Finally, the scuff plates, front and rear.

~7. Reinstall the front seats.~
~8. Reinstall the rear cushion.~
~9. Plug in the battery again.~
You’re done! Go for a rest drive and let the results speak for themselves!

Final thoughts
I did not take pictures because I was too busy installing the stuff and there are plenty of pictures available on the various threads.
I did reach out to many people on the forum and on Reddit who have done this project and from everything that I’ve learned, I believe this should be all you need to know to do this project successfully.
It will take several days so set some time aside. Here are some rough estimates:

• Trunk: 2 hours
• Each door: 2-3 hours (first door will take longer, then each door after gets shorter and shorter)
• Wheel wells: 2 hours
• Inside Hood: 1 hour
• Interior: 9 hours. Set aside a full day for this. You will want to take breaks in between steps. It took me from 10am to 8pm.

Things have been hard this month, well honestly since last year, but this month both my mom and I who live together have had medical issues resulting in unexpected medical costs. The biggest is having to pay her copay for a walker which really hurt.
We both go in on all of the bills but with these unexpected costs we will be short $60 on our mortgage. It doesn’t help Wells Fargo likes to keep increasing it little by little. It’s due on the 24th.
We have no family or friends to ask. Nothing of value in the home to sell or pawn. I donate plasma twice a week for extra money but that is included in the figure. I’ve cut back on food and just trying to make sure this gets paid.

Feel free to ignore for anyone who doesn’t care, but a few people asked for updates so here it is.
I ended up selling off the majority of my more expensive Anthony Edwards cards, along with some of my more expensive Kevin Garnett cards, and some other random Timberwolves stuff sprinkled in. I still took home a few things that I wasn’t willing to part with based on offers for them, so I still feel decent about what I have left.
I made two larger deals with two different dealers after getting to the show. Some of my stuff was hard to comp being unique with no sales or not many sales. It essentially was worked out to 85ish% of eBay comps. So I figure getting cash / PayPal immediately and not having to worry about listing tons of stuff on eBay, getting hit with fees, and shipping things out was worth it.
Then trade night I sold the rest of the stuff. I was able to get a decent spot when they set up tables. Almost right after setting up and putting my cards out an impressive / nice 14 year old kid bought a bunch of my Ant stuff, and then I made some room so he could set up next to me since he wanted a spot to make deals for all of his stuff. It was an interesting experience, this kid said he made like $20k during his trip there, and he had some awesome stuff that he used the money on and was trying to flip again. He was doing the same thing with my cards he bought right next to me 😂. He had multiple super nice Luka cards, Flawless and numbered prizm stuff, and a Color Blast. And then added a bunch of my nice Anthony Edwards stuff. He was fun to talk to while we waited for other people to walk up and ask about our cards - honestly he was making more deals than anyone else I saw!
So in the end I broke 5 figures in sales, traded a few things for a nice 2nd year Gold Spectra on card Ant auto, and still kept a number of things for my collection going forward. It hurt a bit shaving value off to get deals done, and basically everyone I interacted with loved Ant but were simultaneously nervous about buying him at such a high price. It was the right thing to do for me, collecting is fun, but making positive life choices and having better finances should take priority over a hobby. In a weird way, I also feel more connected or thankful for the stuff I ended up keeping as well. I’m not sure I can call myself an Ant super collector anymore after giving up so much stuff, but I had fun during the journey and still have some nice things to show for it!

My ex and I have been living together and dating for roughly 5 years of time. We met at a university we both attended where we were getting the same degree, and I thought we were deeply in love. We never argued, had the same views and goals for the future, and the 2-3 problems we did develop were communicated and improved in healthy ways. It was a loving relationship that our friends could only hope to have. He had even custom made me a promise ring that I wore every day and never took off. I was a part of his family gatherings in Maine (where he was from), and he was involved with my family back in Michigan as well. We lived together for years, and I had hoped that we would get married after we graduated, like we had talked about. We were living like we were, anyway, so I was under the impression it would be a welcome next step.
A year after we both graduated, he ended up getting a job across the country (Michigan New Mexico). He would have a pretty large salary increase, would be doing things he enjoyed in the workplace, and be closer to his hobbies and a few friends that he had at our university that were older. I would have to move to a state I've never been, away from all of my friends and family, with no personal plan in place (I did not have a job lined up there like he did). However, he told me I could focus on healing from past trauma I couldn't process while I was focused on school, and work on getting my streaming and music career off of the ground, which is something I would've rather done with my life. I had plenty of contacts to realistically attempt something like that. And if it wasn't working, I could always try to get a job where he did. He would cover the rent of the condo we lived at, but I'd still pay all of my own personal bills (food, insurance, phone, etc.). Weighing the pros and cons, and how I believed our relationship to be/where it was headed, I agreed. We went 50/50 on furniture we would need while we were still in Michigan, because the company paid to move our stuff. The moving company damaged some things of mine that were irreplaceable, and I wanted him to deal with the moving company about it, but he never did. When we got there, I unpacked pretty much everything that was moved for the both of us, set up and organized the house, and did all of the cooking, paperwork, and chores I could so my ex could focus on getting settled in his new job. I put together lists of what we still needed, and continued to buy things for the condo 50/50, even when I was running off of low hustle income and savings. I even sold things that meant a lot to me so I'd be able to deal with all of the moving logistics and support myself when my work was "unpacking and settling".
Right before I finished my stream setup, and I was ready to start grinding on my own career, I had stumbled upon evidence of him cheating when I needed to use his computer. I have documented evidence that he has been paying sex workers for various things for the past 2 years, well before this job and move was in the picture. I didn't have access to his socials or accounts to know the full extent of what he had done, but what I had found was more than enough. When I confronted him, he didn't deny it either. I was distraught and depressed. I cut again for the first time in years. I felt lied to, betrayed, suicidal, and alone. I felt unsafe being alone in the condo, so I went to his friend's house after finding out. I told them what was wrong and they were in total disbelief until I showed them the evidence, it was extremely out of character for him. I lost 10 pounds in 2 days. The day of finding out what he did, I had already bought plane tickets back to Michigan for studio work, and couldn't change it. We agreed to take some space to figure out next steps, so I took that flight back to Michigan with two suitcases of my things, not knowing what was happening. I spent another few months unable to work, because my mental state was horrendous, and I didn't want to cash in any favors to get an engineering position when I didn't know where I was even going to be in a month's time. It seemed like we were going to try couple's therapy, because I really wanted to understand why he needed the external validation. I wanted to help him and figure out exactly what went wrong, because I didn't see any signs of this behavior. But we cut it off for good in December, when he had told me he's been seeing his ex. The breakup was slow and painful, and I was constantly living in a state of not knowing what was going on, and suffering mentally and financially for it. All of my plants that were there are now dead because he couldn't care for them, he still has my two cats, and I may have to sell my dream car in order to really afford starting over again. I can't even sell it as is since he didn't turn it on the entire time, so the battery and alternator are now dead too. It feels like my life was ripped out from under me in a blink of an eye, and I was the one being punished for it when I was the one who didn't do anything wrong.
My mom flew me out to Guam in December, knowing how much I was hurting and she wanted to get me away from it all. I was supposed to leave 2 months later in February, but here I am, still here 5 months later. Still essentially living off of two suitcases of my belongings. I am ready to move on with my life. I want my cats and my things back, and I want a fresh start. I have a few jobs lined up for me here to get back on my feet. I had to purchase a new wardrobe for the office, and a new car to get around.
All I asked for him to do was send my stuff back to Michigan, where it came from, so it could be stored at my dad's house until I could get it moved here to Guam. I felt like it was fair to ask, considering he lied to me and cheated on me for two years, when he easily could've just broken up with me before moving for his job. He made the conscious decision to drag me along and shift my whole life for him, when he had no plans to actually be with me. He bragged about the salary increase and I know what it is, I know he can afford to pay for my stuff to be moved out. I have been asking for updates constantly over the past few months, and he gives me spaced and vague answers. He is now saying he wants me to pay for half of it to be moved, which I think is unfair. This situation is entirely his fault, I'm already spending a lot of money starting my life over, and I was the only one unpacking things when we got there. He can pack up my things, and send it back to where it came from. He's also keeping everything we went 50/50 on as well, so I'm still losing even when he pays for the move. Our friends are on my side here, but he isn't cooperating or budging. I wanted to be civil, but he's being difficult to communicate with, and I am on the other side of the world now. Can I/Should I take him to court to pay for my move? Can I/Should I pursue suing him for the other aspects now that he is no longer being civil about this? Will being on Guam while he is in New Mexico complicate a lawsuit? I'm losing my mind at how I have had everything to lose, and he still doesn't have the decency to do what people around me seem to think is the right thing to do. Any advice and further questions to clarify the situation is appreciated.

Okay, so I will give all the background information first and then explain my issue, aka, the part where I need advice.
I am 22 years old, just graduated from college and about to start my first “adult job” in the next coming months (I will be a teacher!!). I live at home with my parents, reasons being: 1) I went to college 10 minutes away and it was cheaper than housing 2) my family is very isolated and we quite iterally are the only 3 people in our family, so I’m close with my parents because they are my only family, and 3) my parents have told me several times that I am welcome with live with them for as long as I need/want so that I can save money and all sorts. I am very grateful for them!!
I currently have a 2017 Civic which my parents bought for me brand new after I got my license. Again, I am extremely grateful and I LOVE my Civic. It has got me through nearly 7 years of school and life!!
My new job a city over which is about 30-45 minutes away and all interstate. I have not had problems with my Civic and I truly believe it will last me until I die. I know that. However, I am the type of person who likes new and so I do tend to gravitate towards things I don’t really need.
I have a lot of money saved up, and have decided that I would like to trade my car in for a newer Honda SUV model, (a car that might do better where I live for icy winters and snow) and pay for the rest (or most of the rest) in cash. I would also like to pay for the insurance and payments on my own— which my parents have very kindly always done for me. I would also like to mention that I have done a TON of research on this entire thing as it has been stewing in my brain for months.
My “reasoning”, or more so my way of justifying buying a car over moving out for those people I know will ask/be curious about, is because realistically, in my state with the salary and savings I have, moving out within the next year or even two isn’t reasonable, unfortunately. If I were to move out rather than buy the car per se, it would be about another 6-8 years before I could think about upgrading my vehicle which at that point will’ve dropped in value even more. I would also be basically living check to check, so all my money would be towards the house and things for me to live. I also think that considering I really have never truly ever paid for anything in my life, that a small car payment and car insurance would be a good way for me to develop some responsibility as an adult.
Long story short, which honestly doesn’t relate to the background info as much as I was thinking, I am wondering how I could APPROACH my parents about doing something like this? I want them to know how grateful I am and what I want to do. I’m pretty determined about my decision, but I really don’t want to hurt their feelings about trading in the car they bought me or make them think I’m being super irresponsible. Maybe I am. But, I don’t know, I’m young and dumb, so sometimes I think about life, how short it is and ultimately start feeling impulsive. I have never asked/talked to my parents about something like this or really anything “big”, to be honest. I’m not sure how to start the conversation without being disrespectful or causing them stress. Also, buying cars in my family is very normal as my dad does so every couple years, if that means anything to you— it did for my personal justification lol.

My dog Rosa is a 5 year old Shepard mix. She is the happiest dog I've ever had the pleasure of knowing, she is constantly smiling. The other day she had an unfortunate accident and hurt herself playing in the backyard with another dog. I suspect it is to to do with her ACL. I am no vet but her symptoms are of exactly thatt. She can walk but she moves really slow which is unlike her bouncy happy usual trot and she can't go up the stairs. She really isn't herself and is in a obvious amount of pain and it breaks my heart to see her this way.

Longtime lurker, recently got fired in the middle of a slow Friday, honestly relatively surprising at least in the moment but looking back not so much. I was exhausted with my old restaurant and not making quite enough money, and got an opportunity to do something new for a bit more (paid in cash haha), and I was hoping to grow from there. Was a slow start but by the time I was fired I had actually learned the station and was performing, aftee spending roughly two weeks (& mother's day) really killing myself trying to learn the station. It's really disheartening that in reality they needed someone for mother's day and to finish out the last very busy weeks, and I was not needed afterwards. I'm deeply disheartened from the experience but I'm trying not to let it spiral me out into a depression. It was pretty rough finding a better job than the last and this was a GREAT opportunity, which seriously hurts. I'm gonna dust myself off and move on to the next opportunity that comes but I'm still deeply frustrated. I'm at a point where I am trying to grow in terms of my skillset & to some extent career, but I feel in a way I can't surpass myself where I'm at. I'm not satisfied with where my skills have developed to, but I'm not sure how to move forward. I want to improve and you know, achieve some dreams one day, but currently I feel like I'm stuck at working in fundamentals and running in circles trying to get better but not getting there.

Literally everything is so fake PLEASE SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT TO DO WITH HER. Like she has zero pressure. That overhead being reactable because it’s so fucking slow literally means she has nothing. Her strings ass. Her specials unsafe on block liek if a nitara does db2 just d2 she can’t do anything because she pauses before her options even if she dive kicks or tries to go up or does her dash attacks. The flying is terrible, you can jump and try to fly down from the peak of her jump and the tip of your toe will get you anti aired and mid glide she can’t do anything which makes it even easier.
All her strings except her 1212 and 221 go nowhere unless you have meter no matter the kameo. The khameleon mix is also shit so please don’t try to act like it isn’t. The low overhead isn’t even good mix because mileenas sais won’t connect if you just do the full string so just block the first hit and block high and you’ll always be taking the better option the real mix is in whether she’ll do the overhead from diving down or do the low first. But that’s not unique to her and you hardly get time to just stand still because if you dash and don’t hit the opponent they will mash.
And in fact they will mash on anything it doesn’t matter what you downed them with the divekick or a kameos move and try to air dash forward to continue ‘pressuring’ they hit you you’ve just done a 45% combo and want to try and mix the opponent so you dash up and down once in their face and go for the overhead they’ll be pressing the second you touch the ground or they’ll just poke and your overhead gets hit and then you get comboed because the game is so fun and creative.
Her plus frames are useless except for grabbing which only works because people try to mash after them and the game lets you grab people out of pokes but her strings are so bad you really shouldn’t even be mashing after them.
It actually hurts my head trying to play her because everything is fake and unless you’ve played her yourself you might not understand.
But nothing she does is real except maybe doing f1 after motaro’s low shot or her calling out Janet in the corner but other than it’s all very fake. She doesn’t even get a grab combo consistently except with kitana’s fan lift but you need meter to do it despite the damage being trash.
And her jump ins are embarassing why does shao have a better one than her? The amount of times I can air dash down and j1,2 or 3 and the opponent pokes like a dumbass but my jump in whiffs is actually incredible and this stuff hardly happens to other characters like Johnnys jump kick will hit you from behind when you poke… it’s like dashing makes hers worse.
Ik you’ll all say there are good nitaras etc etc but I’m so serious when I say that thought they are very good they win partly because people just don’t know her well enough to counter her sometimes.
I’m no god but I’ve got to god rank with her and elder god a few times but she’s just so bad I don’t even understand what her gameplan is because she’s bad up close and far away she’s not doing shit either. So running away is pretty pointless.
I just need someone to show me or tell me what to do with her atp because as I said it feels pointless playing her. Almost every character can get more or similar damage than her for 1 bar now so it’s not like she’s doing anything special. She doesn’t even get meter for flying yet ermac and rain can do their cancels and easily gain themselves meter to work with so I don’t understand why she can’t do that either .

Me and my boyfriend got together near the beginning of this year, and have only been together for around three months. I've had a couple of boyfriends before him, and they were pretty healthy relationships; none of them ever put their hands on me with harmful intent, none of them ever got their heads turned or were disloyal. Just ended due to me moving away for university / moving to another town.
But this one, he does, (kind of?) he has never punched me, or slapped me, never directly hurt me. But he has done some pretty scary things. It started small, the first thing was a shove. A light shove when I was doing my makeup, it meant almost nothing to me. He apologised profusely and said it wouldn't happen again. I'm worrying because, at one point I could list all of the times he touched me in a harmful way. But now only the first instance and the worst instance stick out. It has happened so many times. The worst in my opinion was when I was sick, we were arguing, I was sitting up in bed with an ice lolly to soothe my throat. He grabbed it from me, squished it in his hand and threw it in my face. Then a little later, pulled me out of the bed and onto the floor because 'I wasn't listening to him'. I was just trying to go to sleep as I felt sick, and didn't want to continue the argument.
He always says that his reasoning for grabbing me, grabbing my phone, pulling me out of bed etc. is because I start arguments and never want to continue them. I do see what he means, I bring up something that bothers me and then I get scared when it gets heated, and so I back down, or try to stop talking about it. I realise the 'reassurance' I will get at the end of it isn't worth feeling afraid to get hurt, or pouring my heart out to someone who later will make fun of me with his friends. (I've seen messages of this happening, and now whenever I open up to him I feel so stupid. I struggle through it to communicate for the sake of saving the relationship. I love him, I don't want to start fresh. He is the only thing that makes this town feel like home, can you blame me?)
The main incidents I bring up are: him downloading Tinder and arranging to sleep with someone else after an argument (he responds with, I never went through with it, I thought it was over, even though we were still texting at the time, joking with eachother on good terms in my opinion). I also want to mention that this argument wasn't even an argument. He called me his ex's name and I got hurt, said I needed space and time to heal. My mindset the whole time was 'it will get better, we can get through this' and his seemed to be 'I'm going to sleep with someone else to hurt her'. And it worked. I'm so hurt. Whenever we have sex now I can't concentrate because I worry I'm not enough. I still do have sex with him, but I go to the bathroom or hide in bed and I cry afterwards. I can't get turned on, or wet, sex always hurts me because I just think about how he would throw me away in a heartbeat for a Tinder hookup. I cry when I see myself in the mirror, I used to love how I looked. I was popular in secondary school, sixth form and people tell me I am typically attractive, but nothing can explain the disgust I feel when I see myself now. I hate my hair, my face, my body. It wasn't enough to keep him loyal, to keep him from telling his girl bestfriend all of my family issues, to keep him from mocking me saying 'Did you get hit recently' referring to my bad relationship with my dad. It hurts me so badly, I'm sitting near him now, my eyes are watering and my heart is aching. I hate feeling this way.
But I don't want to leave him. I'm newly estranged, I have almost no friends left because I spend all of my time with him, and I'm just overall really down mentally. I also fear that, because of the Tinder situation, he will move on really quickly and forget all about me. I know he will talk about me in a horrible way with his girl best friend as I've seen these things happen before. I'm terrified, because I do love him a lot, I'm quite attached by this point. I don't want to break up because I'm scared of all of the horrible things he will say to people. People I will never be able to explain my side of the story to, people that see pictures of me and think, 'what a bitch, what an overbearing, exhausting bitch'. He knows so much about me, he knows about my childhood, my entire estrangement process, my family problems, my medical issues, I trusted him. I still trust him. But part of me knows this can't be good. The thought of him with someone else kills me. But I know straight after we break up he will be sleeping around, probably comparing me to these girls he meets. I know I never was his type, he constantly insulted me and my appearance. He told me I have weak hair, he uses 'white girl' as an insult when we argue, and he's said to his friends how he 'wants a Latina'. I know I'm not enough for him, but I know the pain of breaking up will crush me. I'm scared I won't come back from it. I know I won't move on fast, I won't even be able to love anyone for a long time. This is what scares me, if we break up, I feel like I'm losing someone I love, and I'll have to think of him sleeping with other people whilst I sit in my room, crying and listening to our playlist.

Things we still don’t know the answer to. Unfortunately, the list is still pretty long and I’m sure I’m forgetting some, so feel free to post yours in the comments as well. I will do my best to add them to this list.
1. How did JP get her necklace? He could have taken it after he saw her body, but he also could have taken it before that.
2. Why did he have to replace his dog tag chain at the mall after her death?
3. What did Mica do on the side of the gas station building? The PI went there in person and confirmed they had a bathroom inside.
4. Was she being stalked and/or followed by the people in the pawn shop and/or the truck at the gas station? It appears that could have been happening.
5. Why didn’t Robeson County report on the fact that Mica had bruises and scratches on her hands and arms, or discuss the shell casings on the ground at the scene?
6. Why would someone drive that far and go into such a secluded area of the park if they wanted their family to be able to find them, and walk through high water in the process? That part of the unmarked trail is connected to a creek, so it’s likely that there is always water on it. We encountered no water on trails anywhere else.
7. Why did it take her 25 minutes to drive to the pawn shop when it only should have taken 10 or 15, and why did she remove her work shirt? It wasn’t busy season in Myrtle Beach yet, so it shouldn’t have taken that long. We drove the route ourselves this week and it didn’t take that long. She could have easily made it to work for her shift at noon if she left her house at 11:38.
8. We all know by now that JP has several cars in the church’s name. If we don’t have photos of him in Charleston, how do we know he was actually there? Just because his truck was seen doesn’t mean he was driving it.
9. Why won’t the gas station owner or the state park people release the videos from their cameras if they want to seem cooperative or innocent? The PI and I were promised videos of the inside of the gas station that we have still not received, and he had cameras everywhere inside. We have no video or photo proof that Mica drove to the state park by herself after leaving the gas station. Just because her car was there also doesn’t mean she drove it there.

1. Why didn’t they do a gunshot residue test, an autopsy, or a toxicology report?

17. Who has her phone, and did anyone have her location? If she was so scared of JP, I would think someone had it.
    
18. What did the 911 operator see on her screen that caused her to say, “I don’t think you’re in Robeson County?” The parking lot where she parked is Columbus County and the point where her body was found is Robeson County, so this COULD indicate she called from her car.
    
19. Why was no name given or asked for during the 911 call?
    
20. How was her call so clear when that area is known for spotty cellular service, and the kayaker who found her body had terrible service? The state park website even states that they need to add a radio tower because the service is so poor.
