First go to ChatGPT. Now that 4o is free for everyone we have better outputs. We use ChatGPT to generate rhymes or songs. 4o is great at it. The prompt:
Can you create 10 children's rhymes of 4 paragraphs each that are educational and entertaining? Please include a variety of topics such as animals, space, fairy tales, everyday heroes like firefighters and doctors, seasons, and important life skills like sharing and kindness. Each rhyme should be catchy, easy to understand for young children, and incorporate fun facts or moral lessons where applicable. Feel free to introduce imaginative characters and vibrant settings to make the rhymes more engaging.
You have 10 poems now. Go to Suno .com and create an account, you can use google. Now from the create page, select “Custom Mode”. Copy paste one the the lyrics/rhymes. For style of music I used, “children rhymes song”. Give a title and click on “Create”. The results are surprisingly good! Download the audio.
On to the last step. Go to adobe express. From dashboard go to animate from audio or just search on google, “adobe animate from audio”. Select a character and background. Upload the sound file. Wait till the video is generated. You have your rhymes video ready. This takes like 5-10 minutes only for the whole process.

2024.05.21 07:52 Howl_D_Void Free Trial. Launcher downloads additional excess files after manual install

Maybe this is an old topic but I haven't found the solution for this anywhere.
Thing is I copied the files from a friend (54.4gb) and manually installed the game.
What I did was: With steam closed and no internet connection, I copied the appmanifest and the game files to the steam library directory (I have done this several times before with other games and no problem thus far). Then when I run the game from steam, it downloads some patch for the launcher from steam and then, inside the launcher, starts downloading 56.3gb of data.
At first I thought I had incomplete files but the same friend that copied me those files can go in and play with no issues.
After that I created a free trial account at the website and downloaded the windows setup, installed and copied the files to the installation directory. Same problem here, launcher starts downloading additional files.
To check that it wasn't missing files, I did a file restore from the launcher, it deleted the files but just started downloading the 56.3gb patch, no more as it would've been if I had missing files.
Also, I have the latest version and the launcher seems to be trying to download the 2017 patch or something cause that's the name of the patch files it shows when it starts downloading.

ChatGPT can 'breakout' of the text window on the browser which is the most basic interface. It might have been easier to use API's but this allows even free users to automate their machines.
I started by creating a GPT and told the GPT creator to create any GPT it wanted. It turned out to be a good GPT!
Next I asked it for ideas on how to achieve the goals and with a lot of trial and error those goals were achieved.
I didn't even know the freaking commands for Terminal - it had to taach me those too!
I will mention that at this stage it does very little all it does is take a single output of ChatGPT and implement a particular script on the local computer but it could very easily be changed and upgraded to do a whole lot more - anything you can do in Terminal for instance from ChatGPT:
"this method can be adapted to execute a variety of commands on your local machine, including opening applications, creating files, or performing other tasks through terminal commands."
Then it gave a step by step guide of how to achieve that which I haven't implemented yet.
For instance what it means is you could say "Hey ChatGPT create a file on my computer called "readme.txt" and it would create the file etc.
Anyway for now if you want to play around with it I have uploaded all the files and GPT Chat history copied to a readme file to a github page. I would give the link to the particular chat but ChatGPT wouldn't let me copy it.

I don't know how to create folders on Github so the files are all in one mass but the images are supposed to be in a folder called "Images". The main difficulty you might have if you know nothing (like me) is downloading Python and the Flask server on Terminal and making sure the files are in the right place. You don't have to create the files in Terminal though and it's very easy to install the plugin.

I'm really excited by this becasue it shows how someone who knows nothing about programming can do things never before possible by using ChatGPT.
Specifically how ChatGPT can 'breakout' of the text window on the browser which is the most basic interface. It might have been easier to use API's but this allows even free users to automate their machines.
I started by creating a GPT and told the GPT creator to create any GPT it wanted. It turned out to be a good GPT!
Next I asked it for ideas on how to achieve the goals and with a lot of trial and error those goals were achieved.
I didn't even know the freaking commands for Terminal - it had to taach me those too!
I will mention that at this stage it does very little all it does is take a single output of ChatGPT and implement a particular script on the local computer but it could very easily be changed and upgraded to do a whole lot more - anything you can do in Terminal for instance from ChatGPT:
"this method can be adapted to execute a variety of commands on your local machine, including opening applications, creating files, or performing other tasks through terminal commands."
Then it gave a step by step guide of how to achieve that which I haven't implemented yet.
For instance what it means is you could say "Hey ChatGPT create a file on my computer called "readme.txt" and it would create the file etc.
Anyway for now if you want to play around with it I have uploaded all the files and GPT Chat history copied to a readme file to a github page. I would give the link to the particular chat but ChatGPT wouldn't let me copy it.

I don't know how to create folders on Github so the files are all in one mass but the images are supposed to be in a folder called "Images". The main difficulty you might have if you know nothing (like me) is downloading Python and the Flask server on Terminal and making sure the files are in the right place. You don't have to create the files in Terminal though and it's very easy to install the plugin.
BTW you will have to use the 'Console' in Chrome to know that it is working. I will include a screenshot of what it should look like, although it wasn't working when I took the screenshot. I uploaded the screenshot to ChatGPT for troubleshooting.

I recently picked up Timelapse video and have been enjoying LRT until I ran out of free trial today when I tried to upload more than 400 photos at a time. I'd love to be able to purchase the full version/license but it's just not in the budget at the moment, and since this is just a hobby right now I don't have a lot of time to learn the details even if I did purchase it. I've done lots of searching and from what i've gathered, the full version of LRT seems like the way to go, but i'm curious if there's any other software that is 1. I just went through the first round of interviews at a new school district. They called me less than an hour after I left asking me to come in for a demo lesson. I’ve never taught a demo lesson before, and I’ve worked at my current school for almost five years. I teach Pre-K right now, and this position is in an 8:1:3 middle school classroom, all the students are alternate assessment and have ASD/are complex communicators. I have lots of expirence with those two things, but I’m nervous!
I’ve never taught this grade level, and they asked me to teach a 20 minute lesson based on the curriculum they use (Unique Learning System) and it’s my first time ever working with it. I was told I could do math, ELA or life skills. I downloaded a free trial of ULS and and was looking at the summer unit available in the trial. I found a cool lesson under life skills about following directions that involves making a picture frame. I thought that may be a fun laid back lesson to do, I have lots of experience with teaching life skills and following directions since I have several students with an IEP goal related to that. I’m just not sure of what they are looking for! I’ve never meet these kids, taught this grade level or used this curriculum so I’m feeling nervous going into it, this is happening next Tuesday. Does anybody have any experience with teaching a demo lesson, what were the interviewers looking for? I just don’t want to mess this up!

TL;DR: I attempted to send some massive files to myself via text message and now they can't be deleted.
I know this is a common problem but I think my situation has a unique twist to it. [M2 Macbook Air, running Ventura OS btw]
I wanted to try out recording myself playing a game for the first time and share the footage with some friends that are really into it, or just look back on it later for myself, so I used the built in screenshot function on Mac (Command + Shift + 5) and got through filming three sessions before discovering, to my horror, that the files were absolutely gigantic, like 100+ gigabytes. Obviously I had to get rid of these, but there seems to have been a problem.
The files were too big for me to even use an editor, so I picked the most interesting one and ran it through the Handbrake program (which compressed it down to an impressive 1.5 GB) and moved all three to the bin, then emptied it. Now when I look at the storage, instead of this giant chunk of memory being taken up by the Documents folder, it's taken up by something called "system data." Apparently this is a common problem and so I got the free trial version of Daisy Disk after seeing it mentioned on Reddit. As I suspected, the screen recordings are apparently still on my computer, but I'm unable to delete them for reasons I can't quite figure out. It said the recordings were 'essential for the operation of MacOS and should not be deleted.'

At this point (when I saw the 'sms' thing come up) I figured out what went wrong. My brilliant first idea of how to deal with the files was just to send them to myself via the messages app (the green icon with white text bubble on the dock). Nyeh-heh-heh, I'm so clever. Now they'll be off my computer and I can just click the text to view them again whenever I want! Of course I'm not actually that clever and the message failed to send, but I'm guessing the recordings are trapped in limbo there somewhere.
I opened the messages app and deleted that text/share, both from my phone and macbook, and turned my computer off and back on again, but the harddrive space is STILL BEING USED! What's worse, because I restarted, Daisy Disk terminated my free trial and now I'd have to buy it to continue, and I'm not sure if it's worth setting that up when I don't even know if it will help at this point.
Does anyone have any ideas? I'm terrible with computers, so imagine this is an 'explain like I'm (ninety)five' post or something.

I know it isn't strictly related to piracy, but I think it would fit the thematic of the subredddit. So have you been noticing how services made by big corporations are becoming more and more like the "criminal pirate sites" they demonise so much.
For example, just look into the OS, Win11 is in process of becoming more and more like a giant billboard and subscription shovelware with some OS sprinkled. They are literally already promoting a lot of their services on Win10, a paid OS, and now on Win11 they are about to put the same kinds of ads that dubious mobile apps your tech illiterate little cousin would download for "free vbucks". And when I mean the same kind of ads, I'm talking almost seriously, with such providers like Taboola.
And speaking of Taboola, just look in the news pages, apart from forcing you tracking and paywalls for meh info, they now try to mix "recommended content" from Taboola and similar slop sites, which can vary from fake celebrity info, alt-right propaganda, to Indian tech support scams and the crypto-scam or ponzi of the week.
Oh, and YouTube of course, you can't say a bad word or talk about mature topics as an academic, or dare to use even a second of music under Faur Use (because you will be shadow banned, demonetised and age restricted). But of course Google can show you ads for copyright infringing apps, bad games that are filled to the brim with P2W, religious extremism, alt right lies, crypto scammers that have an issue with Musk, or even fucking porn. Also, that they are willing to break the entire web just to stop adblockers.
And now, EA is trying to make games that cost 70 dollars and have lots of microtransactions into just a glorified mobile game made by some Indian scammer. Their attempts to use corposlang are so funny, since they think they can fool us. Also, that they of course want to hand Denuvo, always online, and kernel rootkits, ahem, anticheats like to us and expect we will keep buying, or even worse, subscribing to air.
And the streaming services that have lost the only good traits that differentiated them from cable, now are fragmented, costly, filled with uselessness filler content, and soon covered in ads.
All of those, I must mention, also want to mine your data and use it to sell even more ads, or to give the NSA or FBI more excuses to arrest people the government don't like. All of that while you are supposed to be the "paying costumer of premium services".
So what's the incentive to buy Win11 instead using of MAS scripts, when you are going to be bombarded with ads and have your data mined? Or what's the point of paying Adobe when you get air or even a fee if you stop your subscription, and while your data can be used to train AIs without your consent? What about paying for a Denuvo ridden, kernel level anticheat security nightmare, sluggish, bugged game that despite being Single Player needs a connection to a server and use ten different launchers and apps, that can send your info? Then using a version from a crazy hacker doesn't sounds bad.
And what's the difference from fragmented, costly ad filled streaming services that will track your devices so they cannot share passwords and that can remove content from just using a pirate site? At least those allow you to just watch the video after the first titties or illegal betting sites ads.
So what's the excuse of the "legal megacorps" now?
