I have an existing web app that integrates into WordPress using User-generated Application Passwords. It works, but I'd like to offer a WP Plugin so users can manage certain features directly within their WP site.
I already have the features in the web app working, along with a version of a plugin that embeds one specific page from the web app. The user enters a unique token that is generated from the web app to make the connection.
My question: Is it ok to use iframes in the WP Admin panel? Using an iframe just feels wrong, but I'm struggling to justify the time it would take to rebuild the features in PHP when I have it working through an iframe.

Dont think this matters to answer the question, but the web app is built with React and Node.js. It lets users manage their blog posts (scheduling/editing/posting to social, etc.)

I was under the impression that a "passcode" is either a lock screen code on a phone or is an MFA OTP code. However, neither of these apply here. User of a mac mini needs to reset his apple id since he does not remember the password to the account. We click "forgot password" and enter the phone number and OTP from that phone. After this it asks for the device's passcode. I tried the local admin and the domain admin accounts (this mac is domain joined to a windows network) but neither works for this "passcode". I asked other mac users what they thought it meant and they said they thought it meant the normal login credentials. Any help would be appreciated.
This is an M1 silicon Mac mini with Sonoma. Also, I had just had this mac and another one update to the latest Sonoma version. To do this, it required the local admin account to approve even though these users are local admins using a mobile domain windows account. It also would not take my domain credentials to do this update, only the local admin. Not sure if that is relevant.

So I tried to login to a file/application server and after getting hit with an incorrect password prompt a couple times, I realized that the user account had changed. It was trying to login in as the generic "Administrator" and not the custom admin user I had created when I set-up the machine. I'm 99% sure I disabled the default administrator account at the same time. Unfortunately, I have no idea what the password is and I tried a few of my old standards from the time the machine was set-up with no success.
Problem is, there are only two admin accounts, the custom account and the generic administrator. I can login as a non-admin account and I can see that the user folder for the custom admin is still there but I am unable to get the account to show up as a user on the login screen. I can't restart the server right this second but what's something I can do to be able to login as the custom admin? It's probably 2 weeks since I signed into this server. It's kind of a set and forget machine and I wear lots of hats here!

I'm working on a DSL line, for a small town, that terminates in a Qwest Actiontec PK5000 modem (yea I know it's older than the hills, but it's a SMALL town).
The original IT guy changed the password during setup, didn't document (or it was lost) and now he's long gone.
After collecting the most current firmware, factory user manual, WAN credentials and some How To's about the Actiontec PK5000 I reset the modem and tried to log in, but no joy. :-(
And thus began my peregrination. ^{{yea, it's a word. Weird, but very descriptive}}
I've done a lot of searching online but none of the suggestions have panned out.

Hi all. Inherited a customer who inherited a SICK S30A scanner. I can connect via USB to M8 but can only read parameters and configuration. I am unable to make any changes or save to the scanner as it asks for an admin or maintenance personnel password and no one around here seems to have an idea what it might be.
Any insight into how to reset this completely and start from scratch?

Does post authentication options and post authentication reset delay recognize LAPS password lookup and all forms of use?
For instance, if an admin looks at the LAPS password and then uses the password for run as Administrator in a UAC prompt, will automatic password rotation be triggered or does the admin have to do a full Windows login to the device using the LAPS managed account to trigger post authentication reset?
If it only resets via automatically when used to do a Windows sign in from the lock screen, is there any issue with setting the LAPS password age setting to only 1 day so passwords on all devices rotate daily regardless of whether they are accessed or not?

I am trying to manually configure Obi200 for GV since provisioning via ObiTalk was discontinued at the end of last year along with the device EOL. My Obi200 was working with GV for years until recently when the phone port was damaged during lightning storm. I bought a working Obi200 from ebay and I am trying to manually configure it by comparing the settings from the broken Obi200's admin UI but can't get past the problem below i.e. unable to login to stun.l.google.com. I assume the oauth credentials to connect referenced by this variable {DSN}_1 is at ObiTalk portal? Is there any way to get a new token/credential to set up in the obi200 admin webUI to make the GV work?

Hello,
I am finding in a cloud centric Microsoft 365 environment with Entra joined devices and Windows Hello, once a user is authenticated and joined to Entra and has their pin setup, they never use their password again on a day to day basis. Whenever you need to do something down the road that requires their password again, they almost always have forgotten it.
Are other admins experiencing this and does anyone have a solution to this other than resetting passwords with many helpdesk support calls?

Hello! I've come across a few posts here detailing a similar scenario and I'm posting mine on the off chance (and out of desperation) that someone now has a solution or success story:
I have been using the Adobe suite for at least 16 years — I bought CS4 as a disc when it came out in 2008. For the past few years, I've been fortunate to have an Enterprise account through my membership with a local organization.
I use these programs daily for my work. I am still logged in on my desktop Creative Cloud account, as well as on my Chrome + Safari browsers. I haven't changed my password, and it is saved on all devices.
I recently got a new iPhone and transferred all data over. Two days ago, I opened Lightroom mobile and was prompted to login — typical of having a new phone. Turns out, I have 2FA enabled and noticed an old phone number listed. I have two verified emails with my Adobe account so I selected this option, received the code, pasted it, and it was accepted. Then it makes me choose another way to verify. Since the phone number is deactivated, I select the Adobe Account Access app. When I reached the app, I received a message that "Adobe reset my password" and I'd need to make a new one to continue.
And this becomes my endless loop: while I had access to two verified emails and the authenticator app, now I don't because adobe reset my password. And there is an old phone number associated with the account.
As many of you have detailed: according to Adobe, despite 16+ years with my account, the only solution is to make a new account. This seems so bizarre to me that there aren't other ways to verify, or that a specialist is unable to access my account to either change the phone number or reset the password for me.
Again, I'm still logged in on the desktop Creative Cloud and the browsers. I can see all my account info, and even click buttons to either "remove phone number" or "change phone number" or "change password" but I'm then prompted to login again and can't move forward. And since I use these programs daily for work, I'm scared to logout.
One Enterprise specialist I spoke to yesterday suggested that I do a conference call with an enterprise support agent, myself, and the IT or admin of the Enterprise account of the organization that I'm part of. I'm not sure why this would have been suggested right after telling me it's not possible to access my account and I should make a new one. I know that admins of Enterprise accounts can choose to enable/disable 2FA for everyone, but I don't know that that would help or even be applicable to my issue. Another question: by chance would the Enterprise admin have access to the phone number associated with my account and change this detail on their end? I certainly did not give them this number as it had long been deactivated before I joined the Enterprise account, but perhaps it still shows up? I also don't want to waste their time doing a conference call if there is nothing they can do to help.
In sum: it is mind blowing to me that I didn't have any prior issues accessing my account, despite the old phone number, because my password is saved, I have two verified emails, and had access to the Adobe Account Access app. But because ADOBE reset my password, and I can only receive verification emails, I now have to make a new account?! There has to be another way!
