2024.05.21 17:44 breadybreads 23, super lost, low ambition
I (F23) just recently put in my two weeks at my corporate marketing job. Essentially it has taken a huge toll on my mental and physical health I just need to step away. I know no job is worth panic attacks or your mental health, but I feel like I’m being stupid for leaving a seemingly “good” job especially when so many don’t even have one. There was zero opportunity for growth at this company anyway, but I can’t tell if I’m leaving an unfit position or just giving up. 😕
I haven’t told my parents yet, who I live with, because they’re the type to think your job is your identity.
I have been looking into remote marketing roles, but they’re mostly senior level.
I’ve been considering grad school or becoming a teacher. I am super patient and love helping others, but there’s a high chance the mental and physical toll could be worse lol. If I try it the worse case scenario is a lose a couple hundred bucks for the program.
I also considered getting a part time job in between “real” jobs but idk if that would look bad for future employers.
I know many 20-something-year-olds are in the same situation as me trying to figure out a path but I have never been this lost and panicked about it. Luckily I live at home, don’t have many bills, and have a lot saved.
What should my next move be? Any advice/experiences are appreciated! 🙂

2024.05.21 17:30 Entheojinn Changing Dissertation Topics Midway?
I'm studying remotely at a UK university and am currently in the middle of a leave of absence from my program due to feeling very frustrated with the lack of progress I've made on my research topic; after a great deal of soul-searching I've come to the conclusion that there is no "there" there on my current topic and I'm unlikely to reach a successful dissertation. Therefore, I'm seriously considering a proposal for radically re-directing my research when I return from my leave of absence. Has anyone else done this, and have they had any success? Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

2024.05.21 17:11 birbs_everywhere_art Planning for a future career
I (17F) have accepted an offer to do biomed (four years, bachelor's) at university in Canada. I have high grades, and i think im a fairly well rounded student (i liked doing math, science, and art) But I really want to move to Taiwan after university and I'm not sure what kind of career I can pursue with this degree abroad?
Is it good (or even possible) to find remote work and live nowadays? Are there certain skills I should look to develop to better my chances? I feel like a lot of people seem to want computer related skills, which I fear I do not have enough to make a career out of. (I'm good with digital art stuff, I know nothing about programming and coding) will I have much luck with finding work with a bachelor's in this degree?
I've considered just teaching English if I move to taiwan, but is that a waste of a bachelor's degree? Is that career even sustainable? I don't want to be rich, but I would like to live comfortably.
I'd love to here about other's experience and advice. I know I'm kinda young but I feel like I need to figure this out before too much longer.
Sorry for the ramble, I just wanna share as much relevant info as possible.

2024.05.21 17:11 Mr_Kwibs Update on the ongoing developments happening within the Zano ecosystem
Many of you have been curious about what we are currently working on. We're excited to share an extensive update on our ongoing developments. Grab a snack and enjoy!🍿👇
Ecosystem Developments🏗️ 1. New Mobile Wallet With Confidential Assets Support: This week, we’re releasing a new mobile wallet that supports sending and receiving Zano’s Confidential Assets.
2. Mobile and Desktop Wallets With Confidential Assets Creation and Management Tool: Both wallets will soon support creating and managing Zano’s Confidential Assets directly from the user interface, making it easy for everyone, even non-technical users, to create and manage their own privacy tokens.
3. Zano Companion Release (Browser Extension): To make our ecosystem work in a way that's familiar to the average #DeFi user, we needed a missing link—a Metamask-like (browser) extension called Zano Companion.
The extension works on top of a local wallet, doesn't store anything, and just provides the interface. It could be used as a wallet to send and receive transactions, sign messages, and manage Confidential Assets.
The main feature would of course be web authentication. It will allow users to connect to the Zano Trade app with their Zano Alias. Being able to use your alias to log in is a crucial piece to make the Zano ecosystem very user-friendly, and we're happy to report that we're getting there very soon!
4. Zano Trade Release: After giving users the ability to create Confidential Assets, the next logical step is to provide them with a way to securely exchange them. Enter Zano Trade, an all-in-one trading platform that allows for peer-to-peer trades similar to
u/LocalMoneroCo utilizing Zano's Escrow Contracts for settlements, Ionic (Atomic) Swaps, and an instant swap feature.
Zano Trade is currently in beta on testnet and will be accessible to our users after the browser extension is published which is necessary to access the Zano Trade platform.
5. Zano Lite Wallet Release: We’re developing a lite wallet with a simplified UI that uses a remote node. This will lower the barrier to accessing the Zano network and offer a variety of wallet options to suit personal preferences.
6. Zano Governance System Release: The governance system is done and working, but there isn't much to govern yet. Whenever we come across something that may benefit from it, such as the Zano Grants Program, we will launch it.
- Confidential Layer Launch: u/ConfidentialLyr, developed by the Zano team, will bring utility to Zano's Confidential Assets. This blockchain-agnostic platform facilitates the interchange of native and wrapped assets between private and public chains, with future plans for a privacy stablecoin and a multi-asset wallet.
Planned Integrations🛠️
1. Cake Wallet Integration: The
u/cakewallet integration is nearly complete and we expect $ZANO to be added soon. Cake is a very advanced wallet with many exciting features that will greatly benefit Zano.
2. Bitcoincom Wallet Integration: The integration work for adding $ZANO to the
u/BitcoinCom wallet has started. Their wallet has over 50 million registered users and over 1 million monthly users, increasing Zano's visibility and giving the community another wallet to choose from.
Beyond these developments, we're continuously expanding our documentation, improving our website, updating the explorer, and maintaining the Zano network all around.
We hope this update gives clarity and excitement to the Zano community. Thank you for reading!

| Any body know what the reason for this is? I didn’t do anything but used turbo 2 > automatic selection > add a key > put key in slot > listen for door clicks. What I did notice is after I finished programming, the remotes were a bit wonky. The client provided a aftermarket remote, I provided a 3rd party OEM remote. The 3rd party OEM was more responsive. But it just wouldn’t always start up on first touch using the start stop button. However all remote functions worked fine. Is this just a minor issue? Ik with Toyota for example, when backing up immo data, sometimes the check engine light comes up for the newer Priuses but you just have to clear it from my understanding. Is this probably the case as well? submitted by AllMightyLock to Locksmith [link] [comments] |

I got an email from ARRT - “R.T. Update” this is an article from that email. I know this is a controversial topic.
“We require in-person exams and procedures.
If you’re working on an ARRT credential, be aware: remote scanning doesn’t meet our clinical requirements.
You must:
Complete the procedures/examinations—from beginning to end—at the facility where the patient and equipment are located.
Be physically present during the examination or procedure.
Demonstrate our requirements independently, consistently, and effectively.
A designated program official or clinical verifier must acknowledge that you’ve completed all patient-care, technical, procedural, and evaluative skills for each procedure. Find more information in our Didactic/Clinical Competency Requirements and Clinical Experience Requirements.”

2024.05.21 15:47 nymphency ASUS Q170M-C LED support question
Hi there! I’m hoping someone can help with my LED situation in my PC. I am not the most knowledgeable so any help is appreciated. I’ll drop my specs at the bottom of the post for context. I bought this PC off marketplace and everything works beautifully - I believe it was a prebuilt originally bought from best buy. I’m enjoying it so far but I don’t think it has aura sync support and I haven’t found a way to change the colour of the LED fans inside of it.
I’ve tried a remote, I’ve tried through programs and it is never detected. I’ve heard it’s often controlled and managed through the motherboard (?) and mine is an ASUS Q170M-C, so I downloaded aura sync but it doesn’t detect my PC. The other thing is that two of the fans rotate through red green and blue only, and the other two are rainbow. I’d really like to be able to change it so I’m trying everything!
If anyone knows how to fix it or what I should try next I would love some advice. I am new to PCs and would love to learn. (:
My specs: Intel Core i7-6700 processor (4.00GHz) 6th gen Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 8GB GDDR6 ASUS Q170M-C RAM - 16GB of DDR4 The RGB fans are 4 120mm ones and I am not sure of the brand because I bought it secondhand but they are black with a red sea monster (?) looking logo on the front.

2024.05.21 14:48 loloncio2 Managing services and startup apps for each user
Hello everyone,
We have a server runing Windows Server 2022 Standard, we use it for remote desktop so that we can work with the hardware of the server which is more powerfull than our personal computers.
The problem that I am having is that the server runs AutoCad which comes with a desktop app, it also has software like node OpenVPN and others that start programs and services at startup and the problem is that they start with each user so sometimes there are 10 instances of the same program, one for each user when just one of them needs it.
One option would be for each user to enter task manager and deactivate them but there would still be some that are services that they are not able to deactivate and also I would like to manage all of that myself because some of them are not very savvy. Is there a way to manage startup programs and services for each user from an admin account?
