2024.05.22 03:06 Spicy_Pepper4925 paper flowers?

Hello! I’m trying to make my best friend a paper bouquet for graduatio (only 7 flowers)
I’m not the best in this area, I’ve been googling to no avail, does anybody perhaps have a template for paper flowers?
Or any tips or tricks or guides on paper flowers?
I’m not picky on what type, I do wanna do a rose or two and when I was googling it pulled up a narcissus flower but the link was broken :/
Unfortunately her favorite flower is not a bouquet flower hence why I’m doing just a mixture of flowers out of paper that I plan to paint in water colors.
Thanks for any help :)

2024.05.22 00:01 dawnat3d hardcopy paper scrapbooking templates

Is there no such thing as a paper version of page templates? I don't have the creativity you all do, I just want to insert photos into nicely designed pages. When I search for them at Michaels or Etsy, I either get nothing or I get digital download options.
Is there some other name these pages go by? They must exist. I do have pretty background pages but they are just a background, I am looking for already-designed themed templates where I can just glue in the photos.
Does this exist and if so, can you help me with search terms so I can find them?
Thank you

Understanding the Significance of Blue Day

Blue Day serves as a special occasion in preschools, focusing on the color blue's various shades and associations. It's a day filled with activities, crafts, and lessons all centered around blue, aiming to stimulate children's sensory experiences, enhance color recognition, and foster a love for learning. This thematic approach to education is not only enjoyable but also highly beneficial in developing cognitive and fine motor skills.

Creative and Educational Blue Day Activities

Interactive Blue Sensory Bins:

Sensory bins filled with items like blue water beads, pebbles, and toys can create an engaging learning environment. This hands-on activity is crucial for sensory development and encourages curiosity and exploration.

Crafting the Sky and Ocean:

Utilizing preschool blue day craft ideas for preschoolers, children can make crafts representing the sky and the ocean. This creative process allows children to express their ideas about the world around them, using blue paper, cotton balls for clouds, and tissue paper for water textures.

Fashion Show in Blue:

A blue-themed fashion show invites children to showcase their blue attire, turning the classroom into a runway. This activity is not just about fun; it's a confidence-building exercise that promotes social skills and self-expression.

Healthy Blue Snacks:

Integrating blue foods like blueberries or creating blue-colored smoothies can make snack time educational. Discussing the nutritional values of these foods encourages healthy eating habits from a young age.

Blue Day Parade:

Organize a parade within the school premises where children can display their blue crafts or wear blue costumes. This collective activity fosters a sense of community and teamwork among the young learners.

Innovative Blue Day Crafts for Preschoolers

Creating 'Fish in the Sea' Crafts:

Engaging in blue day crafts for preschoolers by making fish out of blue paper and decorating them enhances creativity and allows for a discussion on marine life, fostering environmental awareness among children.

Blue Bubbles Art:

An activity where children can blow blue-colored bubbles onto paper, creating unique artworks. This combines fun with an introduction to color mixing and pattern recognition.

Blue Ice Painting:

Freezing blue-colored water into ice cubes and using them to paint on paper offers a sensory experience that is both cool and educational, teaching children about the states of matter in a fun way.

Blue Nature Scavenger Hunt:

Take the learning outside with a scavenger hunt for blue objects in nature. This activity not only encourages physical activity but also enhances observational skills and a connection with the natural world.

Maximizing Engagement with the School Parent App

Incorporating the school parent app for Blue Day activities strengthens the home-school connection. Sharing photos and stories from the day's events keeps parents involved in their children's learning journey, fostering a supportive community around the educational process.

Conclusion: The Impact of Blue Day on Preschool Education

A Blue Day Activity for Preschool is a comprehensive approach to early childhood education that combines play and learning, creativity and discovery, and individual expression and group experiences. It is not merely a day full of blue-themed activities. Educators may create an environment that not only celebrates the color blue but also fosters emotional development, fine motor skills development, and cognitive development through well-planned crafts, activities, and engagements. Let's take use of Blue Day's chances and use it to paint the early years of education in vibrant, joyful, and inquisitive strokes. We open the door for lifelong learners who see education as a vibrant and exciting journey by making learning interesting and enjoyable.

How can I improve my obsidian for writing world lore and what plugins might be useful?
Sorry for too many words and bad language, I use GoogleTranslate for this text, because I'm Russian.
I’ve been writing my world for a very long time, and I did it first on paper, then on Google Drive, then on Notion, and finally transferred it to obsidian. I really like the ease and system of linking documents using [[]], but I still feel that the system is not ideal.I’ve been writing my world for a very long time, and I did it first on paper, then on Google Drive, then on Noushen, and finally transferred it to obsidian. I really like the ease and system of linking documents using [[]], but I still feel that the system is not ideal.
Now I use Dataview, DB Folder and GlobalSearch. But I mostly use the latter, since Dataview is not particularly suitable when working with hundreds of files (well, or I don’t use it that way). What I mean is this: I tried to do it like in Notion, so that if I left a link to y in file x, then there would automatically remain a link in y to x, but to do this, you first need to go to the table that contains x, then to the one that contains x. what does it contain (if it is not the same one), and be sure that everything is updated (and with many files this does not happen).
I am attaching a photo of what my files look like now. In square brackets there are links to other files, without correspondingly just text. My idea is that all the features can be described in some blocks, which gives me brevity and clarity for understanding what I wrote.
What I would like to understand how to do:
  1. is it possible to create templates for files (by type for character, place, story, etc.), now I have created a separate folder from which I simply copy the text for the desired file
  2. Is it possible that when such templates are changed, the files associated with them also change?
  3. How to work with dates? Dataview, like Nouse, refuses to work with dates earlier than 0000.00.00, and in general they are not intended to show events that are not today. Naturally, my calendar is not the same, the years are different. And is it possible to somehow get a timestamp directly in obsidian?
  4. Is it possible to replace a certain phrase/word in all files at once (even GlobalSearch does not allow this), but it would be useful for me when changing a character’s name, for example.
  5. Actually, is it possible to mutually link files at once? I described the problem above.
  6. I have almost 4500 lore files, how best to organize them (now there are a bunch of folders and that seems to be the norm, but maybe you know better)
  7. Is it possible to view files by some criterion in one file? (for example, events in a biography)
  8. Any other advice would also be grateful
There is also one problem, I guess that it is due to GlobalSearch, even 2
  1. it replaces more than is needed during a quick replacement, i.e. takes away not only what needs to be replaced
  2. files are sometimes replaced with complete nonsense, like the one in the 3rd picture. I make backups but I'm still afraid that I'll lose the information.

How to Solve CAPTCHAs Effectively With OCR Solvers?

https://preview.redd.it/jwzht7dtxq1d1.jpg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a55570629710da3b8b1f77f3e6f1bc317455c733

Introduction:

CAPTCHAs (Completely Automated Public Turing tests to tell Computers and Humans Apart) are security measures designed to prevent automated bots from accessing websites. While they are effective in keeping bots at bay, they can also be a hassle for legitimate users. One efficient way to overcome this challenge is by using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) solvers. In this article, we will explore how OCR solvers work and how to use them effectively to solve CAPTCHAs.

What Are OCR Solvers?

OCR solvers are tools that convert different types of documents, such as scanned paper documents, PDF files, or images captured by a digital camera, into editable and searchable data. When applied to CAPTCHA solving, OCR technology can recognize and interpret the characters and images presented in CAPTCHAs, allowing for automated completion of these tests.

How Do OCR Solvers Work?

Image Acquisition: The first step in the OCR process is capturing the CAPTCHA image. This can be done through screen capture tools or automated scripts that identify and extract the CAPTCHA image from a webpage.
Preprocessing: Before the OCR engine can process the image, it may need to be cleaned up. This involves adjusting the contrast, removing noise, and isolating the characters or objects within the image to improve recognition accuracy.
Character Recognition: The core of OCR technology is recognizing individual characters. The OCR engine scans the image and identifies patterns that match stored templates of letters, numbers, and symbols.
Post-processing: After recognizing the characters, the OCR engine may need to correct errors and format the text. This step ensures that the recognized text matches the expected input format of the CAPTCHA.
Submission: Once the CAPTCHA is decoded, the recognized text is automatically entered into the required field on the webpage, and the form is submitted.

Benefits of Using OCR Solvers for CAPTCHA

Efficiency: OCR solvers can decode CAPTCHAs much faster than manual entry, saving time and effort for users.
Accuracy: Advanced OCR solvers have high accuracy rates, especially with simpler text-based CAPTCHAs.
Automation: By integrating OCR solvers into scripts and bots, users can automate the process of solving CAPTCHAs, improving workflow efficiency.

Conclusion

OCR solvers provide an efficient and effective way to solve CAPTCHAs, particularly when dealing with high volumes of CAPTCHA challenges. By understanding how OCR technology works and following best practices for setup and usage, you can significantly streamline the process of CAPTCHA solving, saving time and reducing frustration. Whether you choose a free tool like Tesseract or a commercial service like CaptchaAI, integrating OCR solvers into your workflow can greatly enhance your productivity.
CaptchaAI employs OCR Solver to effectively Solve various types of captchas and solve all types Of Normal captcha in just one second including image Captcha solving. 2024.05.21 06:28 Severe-Technician-43 My experience with Kindercare 🥱

So let me tell yall about this job I was working at before I made the ultimate decision to leave. Bare with me because it’s a long ride…
So for starters, I was working at a daycare not long ago, it wasn't too bad. The job itself was good and the pay wasn't so bad either. I'd work 80-90 hrs bi weekly. So l'd get paid biweekly but my Manager? OOUUUUU she is just, idk how to explain it. Shes just one of those managers who believes she’s above everyone including her employees. My coworkers? Worse. They all literally compete against each other. It’s weird asf if you ask me. I was a teacher aid. At the end of the day, teacheteacher aid. We’re all getting paid the same and working the same hours (besides part timers) nevermind the fact, The amount of incidents that occur in the center is ABSURD.
So if you know Florida, you know Florida is hot AS FUCK ALL YEAR ROUND (majority of the time) a parent comes to pick up their child in the classroom and the child isn't present and they not checked out on the CSR (Child Supervision Report) To better explain, Anytime a child leaves we have to mark the time they left on the paper. So basically, for better understanding… Arrival times and departure times. Including if they were moved to a different classroom also if we take children outside. That is also marked on the CSR. CSR’s also have something called “Name-to-face” which has hourly times where us as the teachers or teacher aids have to mark the minute within the hour so for example: 12PM so for that we would check the time once it’s 12PM and then add the minute which for example would be: 12:43. After we do that we have to check every child off that they are still in the classroom within that time. At the bottom we have to count the amount of children and the amount of teachers and initial at the bottom. It’s basically to help teachers keep track of when children leave or if a child is missing. Well, said child isn't checked out on the CSR. parent goes crazy trying to figure out where kid is because no one else picks child up besides parents. Turns out the kid is outside on the playground sleeping. IN THE HEAT, So parent goes to my boss and goes completely bazurk. Which I don't blame them. Parent mentions how they are worried about the child maybe having had a heat stroke and that’s maybe why they are on the playground sleeping but that’s what the CSR is for.
Another kid, in the toddler Classroom. Probably the cutest child. Little Cuban/Puerto Rican baby if I’m not wrong.I kid you not, that child HAS STACKS ON TOP OF STACKS ON TOP OF STACKS of incident reports from them biting kids. Child bit a another child in their sleep. When parents were told about the behavior they looked at us and literally laughed and said "well my child is being provoked to act that way” PROVOKED BUT THEY WAS SLEEPING? manager wouldn’t kick them out the center but was quit to kick another child out for hitting another child ONCE. Should I also add that this specific child had to be put in a classroom with the same gender be they attack the other gender. Not to mention, some of the teacher (not myself included) be spanking the child who likes to bite. My boss has no idea but I have indeed seen it first hand and may I add that obviously us as the teachers aren’t supposed to be hitting and or spanking but…. NOBODY and I mean nobody wants to deal with said child. Everyone refuses to be in the classroom with that child. May I also mention that the spanking includes pulling their ear, pulling their hair, pushing them on the ground and pinching their body.
One of coworkers, has a medical condition apparently but long story short, coworker falls asleep very easily. You can be talking to them about something important and they are literally ASLEEP. Coworker was in the infant classroom with me and was rocking one of the babies to sleep. Coworker started falling asleep so l asked them politely to hand me the baby. They refused so I said "whatever if they get in trouble that's on them” sure enough they dropped the baby on their head. A 3WEEK OLD BABY. Causing the soft spot to become misplaced. Now said coworker has an open court case for that with the family and they're trying to sue the center for neglect.
My daughter came to work with me one day. While being there she did good but a child slapped her straight in her face and that was enough for me to say "yeah she's never coming back" and she hasn't since. I never told my boss about it because even then, what would be done? Nothing but an incident report would be written. Also, while on the playground. My daughter was trying to reach the water and couldn’t. For those who don’t already know, my daughter is a little person so she often times needs assistance. She was standing there for I KID YOU NOT, 15 mins waiting on said teacher to help her reach the water. Teacher was standing around gossiping with other teachers. That was a red flag for me.
The worse thing about it is, it's said to be a learning center right???? Well sad to tell you but they do no actual curriculum with the kids, kids sit in a classroom majority of the time playing with broken toys or toys that are missing pieces. Fight with one another or sleep. They eat lunch and snack and other stuff but they only go outside twice a day for 30 mins. They (the teachers) have a whole book to read from and figure out curriculum but they don't do it so most the time the kids are over stimulated being locked up inside. They're also supposed to potty train the kids but NOPE, not even that. There are 4-5 year olds in the center who still wear diapers. It's crazy honestly. I’ve never seen more lazy and neglectful workers A DAY IN MY LIFE. Diapers are supposed to be changed every two hours but they don’t check them or change them accordingly. Children have gotten back to back rashes due to the neglect of diaper changes.
Now about my boss, her son, he is the absolute cutest being ever. He's literally a chunky monkey. We all call him Babybear, chunks or chunka monks. Unfortunately, he has a lot of medical conditions so my boss is constantly in and out of the center but when she is in the center she does NOTHING all day besides yell at us or sit at her desk on her phone. Not engaging with parents, not helping out in the kitchen, NOT NOTHING. Just on her phone on TikTok or Instagram or on FaceTime and this is facts because I have indeed seen it while on my lunch break.
There was an incident that occurred while I was on the clock with the preschool kids. I was outside with them on the playground. I was helping a child pour water into the cup and another kid was on the playground on the slide. I hear crying so I turn around to see who it is and I notice bleeding so I run to the child to figure out what happened. Child won't tell me just only saying their mouth hurts so I call someone on the walkie to take the child up front for proper care. They take child and whatever boom, they get the care they need. I make an incident report and that's it. Anytime a child hurts themselves or they injur one another. An incident report had to be made for both parties. May I also add that our form of communication within the center is WALKIE TALKIES. NOWWW, Weeks after the incident my boss brings me into the kitchen and starts yelling at me I mean like screaming. Saying she can't trust me because I have yet to tell her what happened that day on the playground. Saying I'm an outsider to everyone within the center and I have to redeem myself to them. Anything I say to them (coworkers) will be ran back to her. I like “instigate” things with coworkers according to her. She also mentioned how she had multiple complaints about my coworkers saying that all I do my entire shift is sit in which I explained that I suffer from Vertigo. I have it written on medical papers and medication doesn’t help half the time. I sated that me sitting is me giving myself the opportunity to stop a dizzy spell from occurring and or progressing. She really just said a bunch of bullshit and that's really when I realized that I was done working there. I was being overworked for one and two, I really wasn’t appreciated so I left.
Sorry for the rant but moral of the story is…… DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS TO ANY KINDERCARE LEARNING CENTER AND OR WORK THERE. THEY ARE HORRIBLE, And I mean ALL of them. Keep your babies safe and yourself included stay blessed 🥹🩷

2024.05.21 05:43 FenderBenderDefender Crafts that involve a lot of gluing?

I'm graduating high school super soon and one of my final assignments involved me pasting papers I used throughout the year into a notebook (kind of like a scrapbook?) and I got super into the process. I already journal, so there's an obvious application of that focus, but I'd like to know if there's any particular kind of crafting that's very glue heavy that I can get into over the summer. Any glue is fine, I just particularly like gluing things together for some reason.
Google searches for glue activities sent me to their weird new AI feature (ew) and preschool activities for teachers :(

2024.05.21 01:06 AblePost7537 First-Time HomeBuyer Louisville Kentucky Mortgage Programs

Kentucky First Time Home Buyer Common Questions and Answers:

∘ WHAT KIND OF CREDIT SCORE DO I NEED TO QUALIFY FOR DIFFERENT FIRST TIME HOME BUYER LOANS IN KENTUCKY?

Answer. Most lenders will wants a middle credit score of 640 for KY First Time Home Buyers looking to go no money down. The two most used no money down home loans in Kentucky being USDA Rural Housing and KHC with their down payment assistance will want a 640 middle score on their programs. If you have access to 3.5% down payment, you can go FHA and secure a 30 year fixed rate mortgage with some lenders with a 580 credit score. Even though FHA on paper says they will go down to 500 credit score with at least 10% down payment, you will find it hard to get the loan approved because lenders will create overlays to protect their interest and maintain a good standing with FHA and HUD. Another popular no money down loan is VA. Most VA lenders will want a 620 middle credit score but like FHA, VA on paper says they will go down to a 500 score, but good luck finding a lender for that scenario. A lot of times if your scores are in the high 500’s or low 600’s range, we can do a rapid rescore and get your scores improved within 30 days.

∘ DOES IT COSTS ANYTHING TO GET PRE-APPROVED FOR A MORTGAGE LOAN?

Answer: Most lenders will not charge you a fee to get pre-approved, but some lenders may want you to pay for the credit report fee upfront. Typically costs for a tri-merge credit report for a single borrower runs about $50 or less. Maybe higher if more borrowers are included on the loan application.

∘ HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET APPROVED FOR A MORTGAGE LOAN IN KENTUCKY?

Answer: Typically if you have all your income and asset documents together and submit to the lender, they typically can get you a pre-approval through the Automated Underwriting Systems within 24 hours. They will review credit, income and assets and run it through the different AUS (Automated Underwriting Systems) for the template for your loan pre-approval. Fannie Mae uses DU, or Desktop Underwriting, FHA and VA also use DU, and USDA uses a automated system called GUS. GUS stands for the Guaranteed Underwriting System. If you get an Automated Approval, loan officers will use this for your pre-approval. If you have a bad credit history, high debt to income ratios, or lack of down payment, the AUS will sometimes refer the loan to a manual underwrite, which could result in a longer turn time for your loan pre-approval answer

∘ ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL PROGRAMS IN KENTUCKY THAT HELP WITH DOWN PAYMENT OR NO MONEY DOWN LOANS FOR KY FIRST TIME HOME BUYERS?

Answer: There are some programs available to KY First Time Home Buyers that offer zero down financing: KHC, USDA, VA, Fannie Mae Home Possible and HomePath, HUD $100 down and City Grants are all available to Kentucky First Time Home buyers if you qualify for them. Ask your loan officer about these programs

∘ WHEN CAN I LOCK IN MY INTEREST RATE TO PROTECT IT FROM GOING UP WHEN I BUY MY FIRST HOME?

Answer: You typically can lock in your mortgage rate and protect it from going up once you have a home picked-out and under contract. You can usually lock in your mortgage rate for free for 90 days, and if you need more time, you can extend the lock in rate for a fee to the lender in case the home buying process is taking a longer time. The longer the term you lock the rate in the future, the higher the costs because the lender is taking a risk on rates in the future.Interest rates are kinda like gas prices, they change daily, and the general trend is that they have been going up since the Presidential election in November 2016.

∘ HOW MUCH MONEY DO I NEED TO PAY TO CLOSE THE LOAN?

Answer: Depending on which loan program you choose, the outlay to close the loan can vary. Typically you will need to budget for the following to buy a home: Good faith deposit, usually less than $500 which holds the home for you while you close the loan. You get this back at closing; Appraisal fee is required to be paid to lender before closing. Typical costs run around $400-$450 for an appraisal fee; home inspection fees. Even though the lender’s programs don’t require a home inspection, a lot of buyers do get one done. The costs for a home inspection runs around $300-$400. Lastly, termite report. They are very cheap, usually $50 or less, and VA requires one on their loan programs. FHA, KHC, USDAS, Fannie Mae does not require a termite report, but most borrowers get one done. There are also lender costs for title insurance, title exam, closing fee, and underwriting fees that will be incurred at closing too. You can negotiated the seller to pay for these fees in the contract, or sometimes the lender can pay for this with a lender credit. The lender has to issue a breakdown of the fees you will incur on your loan pre-approval.

HOW LONG IS MY PRE-APPROVAL GOOD FOR ON A KENTUCKY MORTGAGE LOAN?

Answer: Most lenders will honor your loan pre-approval for 60 days. After that, they will have to re-run your credit report and ask for updated pay stubs, bank statements, to make sure your credit quality and income and assets has not changed from the initial loan pre-approval.

HOW MUCH MONEY DO I HAVE TO MAKE TO QUALIFY FOR A MORTGAGE LOAN IN KENTUCKY?

Answer: The general rule for most FHA, VA, KHC, USDA and Fannie MAe loans is that we run your loan application through the Automated Underwriting systems, and it will tell us your max loan qualifying ratios. There are two ratios that matter when you qualify for a mortgage loan. The front-end ratio, is the new house payment divided by your gross monthly income. The back-end ratio, is the new house payment added to your current monthly bills on the credit report, to include child support obligations and 401k loans.Car insurance, cell phone bills, utilities bills does not factor into your qualifying rations. If the loan gets a refer on the initial desktop underwriting findings, then most programs will default to a front end ratio of 31% and a back-end ratio of 43% for most government agency loans that get a refer. You then take the lowest payment to qualify based on the front-end and back-end ratio. So for example, let’s say you make $3000 a month and you have $400 in monthly bills you pay on the credit report. What would be your maximum qualifying house payment for a new loan?Take the $3000 x .43%= $1290 maximum back-end ratio house payment. So take the $1290-$400= $890 max house payment you qualify for on the back-end ratio. Then take the $3000 x .31%=$930 maximum qualifying house payment on front-end ratio. So now your know! The max house payment you would qualify would be the $890, because it is the lowest payment of the two ratios.

Kentucky First Time Home Buyer Common Questions and Answers:

2024.05.21 00:41 AdventurousTone594 I have a kid (12F) who was recently diagnosed. Does her history and evaluation sound right to you?

My daughter's typically been a very well-behaved, bright child. So this diagnosis was initially quite surprising to me! But I want to share her story to see if the evaluation makes sense? Or how we can move forward from here? Kind of a long post, just a heads-up!
I miscarried a son just a year before I had her (it was a problem with my appendix, so she was born after I had it removed) if that matters at all. She was born with a larger head than all her siblings. I have type I diabetes by the way.
She was a pretty typical child after her birth. She began saying her first words early at 9mo, and walking at 13mo. However, ever since she was just a few months old, she'd been having violent meltdowns at parties and whenever I turn on the vacuum. Crying, screaming, kicking-- and she wouldn't stop until I took her somewhere quiet. She was breastfed, though I can't remember when we stopped.
Other than that, she was a quiet kid who was very focused on her surroundings. She would often get stuck in a sort of trance-- blankly staring and suddenly very still. These were not seizures; she would snap out of it with a small tap on the shoulder.
She usually responded to her name unless she was very focused on something. Otherwise I'd have to say her name a few times or tap her. When I pointed or looked at something, she wouldn't turn her head unless I said "Look!" or something. She also didn't move her face much or show too many emotions. Her reactions were a little slow.
She has trouble following directions without being explicitly told or shown what to do. This wasn't a problem in younger years, but this is a big issue now (lots of trouble doing chores).
She also had issues with empathy occasionally. She had a bad habit of pushing her younger brother. She'd always laugh afterwards.
Fast-forward to starting preschool. She was very well-behaved and quiet, she didn't talk with other kids unless she was asked to. She would strangely move her fingers around in front of her eyes during nap time (she did the same thing at home).
She played with toys the same way each time unless she was told to do differently. Often, she would get really focused on whatever she was doing and start rocking herself unintentionally. She also loved to-do lists-- she made so many of them as a little kid I stopped counting.
She loves certain sounds and will often seek out these noises on her own.
She was fascinated with other people's emotions. In kindergarten, she would bring up sad stories (like her grandmother's death) and intentionally sit alone to evoke sympathy.
She kept this up for years -- starting drama she didn't care about to see how people react, ending friendships for no reason, lying to her friends to seem more interesting. She got herself into trouble in second grade for passing mean notes to a classmate. This is something that makes me doubt her autism diagnosis a little, since these kids are usually very honest. But she IS also diagnosed with ADHD, so maybe her impulsivity and boredom with life caused her to start drama with her classmates? I dunno.
In third grade, she became obsessed with a certain video game. She played it all day, all night. Her screen time was upwards of 12 hours a day sometimes. Her grades began to plummet, and so did her mental health.
COVID happened, and she had a lot of trouble with the transition. She had bad grades and started cutting herself in fourth grade. She stopped after an intervention.
In fifth grade, she was fine. But she would often read in the middle of class since she couldn't focus on lessons. She couldn't go a minute without doing something. She also continued to rock herself and all. She loved listening to stories or gossip though. She still didn't have a lot of friends.
In 6th grade, she got much louder. She often couldn't tell how loud she was being and was very impulsive. She had a lot of friends (but I've talked to their parents and stuff. They said she is strange and somewhat childish, with an odd sense of humor, but generally quite likeable and funny.) She could only really get along with younger kids, since she was (and is) fairly immature.
At the end of 6th grade, she attempted suicide. We sent her to a psychiatric hospital for 10 days and she continued on meds for a few months. It didn't work-- she attempted again on the third day of seventh grade. The psychiatrist who saw her in the ER after her second attempt told me to take her for autism testing since he noticed several symptoms while talking to her.
Then I spoke to her guidance counselor, who gave me a better perspective on her behavior at school. She doesn't make eye contact, she is attached to a small hamster plush she carries around (emotionally distressed and unable to function without it). She often screams in class randomly and makes impulsive decisions to get reactions out of people (slamming the door or writing disrespectfully to teachers). She has issues remembering social norms, unknowingly interrupts people while they are talking and has a lot of trouble focusing in class. She usually covers her ears during fire drills and won't stop until it's over. She also took something from someone's locker and moved it.
Her guidance counselor used to work as an occupational therapist for children with disabilities and strongly recommended taking her to get evaluated. We were referred to a behavioral therapy/health program.
It's also worth noting that she is very aggressive towards her brother. They get into physical fights, and she has given him two black eyes before.
This is what the evaluation looked like: The therapist privately spoke with my daughter for an hour while she discussed her struggles with depression and behavior issues. During this talk, the therapist examined her behavior thoroughly (restless, little eye contact, unusual voice) She was also asked to fill out some forms with some agree/disagree forms. We also spoke to the psychiatrist -- I told him about her history, and he also looked at her behavior. The psychiatrists and therapists all recognized not only autism, but ADHD as well (her brother and sister both have symptoms of ADHD, but I don't have full custody of them so I didn't get them evaluated). Does this evaluation sound right, is this how the process is supposed to go? We didn't get a paper or anything, but they put her in the system to get treated for these three diagnoses (depression, autism, adhd)
Her symptoms have become more clear to me now. She often repeatedly makes meowing sounds or counts to twenty in italian for no reason (maybe a stim, or repeated behavior?) She has poor facial recognition. She has a very good rote memory. Her vocabulary is years ahead of other kids her age. She can't make eye contact, though from therapy she has learned to look at people's noses! She is obsessed with order and structure (autism) but has trouble maintaining it (adhd). She is afraid to do new things when pressured (autism) but eventually comes around, needing something new and more stimulating (adhd). She often flaps her hands as well, when she is frustrated or really happy. She's still bothered by loud noises and sometimes has to leave the classroom to do work.
She still accidentally interrupts people, but has learned a few more respectful ways to respond. Still has hardly any friends and gets along better with children in special education (she's in general ed right now) And she has a strong interest in giraffes (has them hung up all over her wall, a bunch of figures and plushes), the Holocaust (talks about it a lot, reads lots of books about it, watches videos), geography (can name every country, find it on a map, and draw the flag), and geology (collection of 80+ rocks).
One problem is that her depression heavily masks her ADHD. We recently moved (the transition was initially hard for her, but she was very curious and interested in the new place, probably adhd boredom?) and her behavior issues have disappeared since she isn't as happy with life as it is (so not as energetic or hyper). But I know that once she gets all cheerful and giddy, she will act up again. She has no ADHD medicine yet.
So yeah. Does her diagnosis sound right? Is this how the evaluation process usually goes? How should we proceed from here?

[5 YOE] Most up-to-date iteration, but not getting anything aside from rejections
https://preview.redd.it/w76g0xtoln1d1.png?width=5100&format=png&auto=webp&s=9a8b849199735a3ef0c526da88ee51d5267c2b04
A few things about this format I chose, I used to have Skills at the top, and then saw one of the recommended "How to make a software resume" or "what hiring manager are looking for" posts from the wiki recommend this set up with experience, projects, education, and skills, so I moved Skills to the bottom.
I'm unsure if ATS is somehow parsing my experience at my most recent job incorrectly, and if I should just list "Software Engineer" for the full duration (which technically wouldn't be inaccurate). I had that initially, then I saw something about how you want to show some growth, so I updated to show the multiple titles I held there.
I just recently added (Remote) to the location of the first job, and (early stage start-up) to the company of the third job because I was applying to a lot of remote positions that were asking if you were comfortable in a remote setting, or comfortable with start ups, and wanted to show I had already worked in those settings on the resume.
I'm applying mostly to API development jobs, which is where most of my experience lies. I'm searching for Remote and Hybris jobs in Los Angeles, or US-wide (for remote). I'm not willing to relocate at the moment as I just signed a lease a few months ago.
I was laid off on March 29th, but had known about it since November and was focusing on savings.
I'm seeking help for fine-tuning and getting either no responses, or just "We've decided not to move forward with you at this time..." canned emails.
I feel like my resume in general is pretty strong and I'm happy with it, but the results don't lie. I know its reallllly bad for Software right now, but I wonder if this format is just not working and I need to change anything, like moving Company name above Position title or something to help ATS parsing?
I could change the format to one of the templates in the wiki, I'm just unsure if I even need to and it's just how it's going for software right now.
I opted not to list my graduation date, not because it was so long ago that it would unintentionally reveal my age, but because it was so recent that I don't want people to think I'm just a new grad, and not focus on the 5 years of software experience I already have.
I often edit the skills section to highlight for what I am applying for, this is just a version where these particular skills are selected.
I know the second and third jobs I could probably update the bullet points to be a bit more WXZ/CASTAR, so I plan on making some minor edits there soon. Still, I feel like with my most recent experience, education, and projects listed, I should be getting a little bit better responses than I am, and I don't think it's those bullet points alone that is eliminating me.
A lot of the jobs I see and apply to, I feel I am a great fit for without really needed to make updates to what I have in my resume. I'm literally seeing jobs that are like, "Python API development in Flask, must have experience with Kubernetes, must have Bachelors in CS or Software Engineering, must have an AWS Cloud certification, must be comfortable with remote settings with experience in start ups...". I'm seriously shocked that I'm not getting better responses with some of the positions because it feels like on paper, and in my experience, I'm a stellar fit.

2024.05.20 20:47 sofilandagreen Tips for Architectural Sketchbook Essentials

Hey fellow architecture enthusiasts,
As students and professionals, we often find inspiration in the most unexpected places, and having a well-prepared sketchbook toolkit can make all the difference. Whether you're capturing the details of a historic building, brainstorming design ideas, or simply practicing your drawing skills, having the right tools at hand is essential.
Here’s a rundown of my must-have items for an architectural sketchbook toolkit:
  1. Sketchbook
- Size and Portability: Choose a sketchbook that’s easy to carry but offers enough space for detailed sketches. A5 or A4 sizes are popular choices.
- Paper Quality: Opt for a sketchbook with good-quality, acid-free paper that can handle various media without bleeding. Mixed media sketchbooks are versatile and durable.
  1. Pens and Pencils
- Mechanical Pencils: A reliable mechanical pencil (0.5mm or 0.7mm) for precise lines and details. Don’t forget extra leads and an eraser.
- Graphite Pencils: A set of graphite pencils ranging from 2H to 6B for different shading and line weights.
- Fineliner Pens: Waterproof fineliner pens in various nib sizes (0.1, 0.3, 0.5) for crisp, clean lines. Brands like Micron and Staedtler are popular choices.
- Brush Pens: For adding dynamic, expressive lines and shading. These are great for quick, gestural sketches.
  1. Markers and Color Tools
- Dual-Tip Markers: Alcohol-based markers (e.g., Copic, Prismacolor) with dual tips (fine and broad) for adding color and depth.
- Colored Pencils: A compact set of colored pencils for detailed color work.
- Watercolor Set: A small, portable watercolor set with a water brush for quick washes and adding color on the go.
  1. Erasers and Sharpeners
- Kneaded Eraser: For subtle erasing and creating highlights.
- Vinyl Eraser: For clean, precise erasing.
- Portable Sharpener: A small, durable sharpener with a container for shavings.
  1. Additional Tools
- Ruler: A small, lightweight ruler for straight edges and precise measurements.
- Compass: For drawing perfect circles and arcs.
- Templates: Architectural templates for drawing common shapes and symbols quickly.
- Clips or Bands: To keep your sketchbook open and pages in place while sketching.
  1. Carrying Case
- Pencil Case: A sturdy, organized pencil case to keep all your tools in one place. Look for one with compartments and elastic loops for easy access.
  1. Portable Sketching Surfaces
- Clipboard: A lightweight clipboard can provide a stable surface for sketching when you're on the go.
- Folding Stool: For comfortable sketching sessions outdoors, consider a compact, foldable stool.
  1. Inspiration and Reference
- Photos: Carry a small selection of reference photos or a digital album on your phone or tablet.
- Notes and Ideas: A small notepad for jotting down ideas, observations, and quick notes.
By keeping these essentials in your toolkit, you'll be ready to capture your creative ideas and observations wherever you go. What are your go-to sketching tools? Share your tips and favorite items in the comments!

Happy sketching

2024.05.20 16:04 Budget-Hand2699 Print large part poster style in Solidworks 2023

I used to be able to print large sketches and parts to scale with a "poster" style setting that would print alignment marks. This is very handy for creating 1 off paper templates for making patterns. I cannot find it in the 2023 release, am I missing something? TIA

2, Configure the printer to the laptop.

  1. Create a list of items your want to "purchase haha" i.e lift and type it out on the app
  2. set the approriate credentials, bear in mind that the more items you fill in the trolley the more likely staff are to investigate
Obtain a legitimate receipt and use in as a template to guide you regarding credentials include date, time, register number, name of cashier or assisted checkout , store manager, ect, THE MAIN CREDENTIAL IS THE DATE AND TIME, THEY MUST MATCH UP TO TH DATE THAT YOUR LIFTING
  1. Create the template as shown in the 2nd image
  2. Print it then go to the shop and walk in taking all the items off the shelf thats listed on the receipt, drop them straight into empty trolley then walk to the express or self serve checkouts.
  3. Grab 3 reusable bags i.e. the cheap $2.50 cold bags for your meat and frozen and walk up to the checkout operator and say you just purchased all the items in your trolley about ten minutes ago and forgot to get bags then hand them the receipt, IMPORTANT IF THE RECEIPT SAYS 1:31 PM THEN COME BACK THROUGH THE A DIFFERENT CHECKOUT TO THE ONE WRITTEN ON THE RECEIPT 10-15 MINS LATER

YOUR GOALS IS TO HAVE THEM THINK OF HE BOUGHT IT FROM THAT REGISTER AND I MUST OF NOT SEEN THEM GO THROUGH EARLIER
Scams idealistic iteration would be all of the above but instead of using my current app i.e pdf reader editor elf i would use a program that i could easily use on my android phone, then with a prtable printer i could go in and be able to get the correct price for items that go buy weight i.e. $25 per kg which you can buy looking up online due to the weight being variable.
