For context, I've been busy lately so I couldn't start the tour event the moment I came out. 😞
But because of my newcomer soul, I thought I could still speedrun the tour like just days before it ends (HAHAHAHAHAHAHA) UNTIL I found out that you need BPs TO play the songs and go from a day to another.
So now I'm devastated because I might not get that LEO CARD. IT'S LIKE BETRAYING MY SOULMATE YOU KNOW
AND yeahh that's it but uhm, do you guys have any tips though? I computed my whistles (?) too. I currently have 115 whistles but I still have 28 days left. So, since I have 28 days left and each days have 4 songs, I still have 112 songs to play. Then since each song needs a minimum of 3 BPs, I need a WHOPPING AMOUNT OF 336 whistles? in which I don't think I can farm? Is that right?
I could buy BPs through diamonds though, right? How much does it cost? Would it be worth it considering the fact that I would die if I don't get Leo? I have so many questions, it's kinda crazy. 😊

In the past, I did talk about why Asian women are attracted to white men. But here is a question, why not white girl married to an Asian man? Here are the reasons why in this day and age, it is time for non-Asian/white women should go after Asian man. Ladies, it is time to prove the point why you shouldn't be deny or ignore.
If you haven't noticed, in this day and age, white men would go overseas such as Thailand, Cambodia, or Vietnam just to get married or chase after an Asian woman. Not just white men, even single men who are British, Irish, or Swedish, they would turn their back on their race just to marry an Asian women instead. Every non-Asian men have been giving up on finding singles in their hometown due to the fact that white women aren't the only ones in their department. And ladies, think about this. If your a white woman who have been seeing this trend of white man marrying a Asian man for awhile, imagine what will happen if the game changes if you marry to an Asian man.
Another thing is we are living in the woke culture, where anything can happen. Don't get me wrong, I have ton of friends who are in LGBTQ+ community, and mostly are my bisexual friends also agreed on my personal perspective. Because if we don't change it now, then when? So I really think that the non-Asian ladies should step up the game and show that white or non-Asian men are not the only guys that runs the show here, because we can play the same game as well. Besides, if a white man are willing to turn their back on their ethnicity and married to another race, why not do the same thing and prove the point!
Again, it is already the year of 2024, men and women should be treated equally; men and women should get pay equally; same-sex marriage for all; then why not "diversity marriage" for all. If you have lived in Philadelphia for awhile, then ask yourself this question. How many Asian man are living in Philadelphia these days? And if you think about it, if these Asian man can get marry easily, why there are so many single Asian man these days? And yes, most of the Asian man are introverted but you will never know if you actually speak to those American born Asians. Trust me, they are not afraid to speak their mind. So again, if you marry an Asian man, nobody would see this as a problem. In fact, this is why we called it "Proving The Point" to today's modern society.
According to statistics, how many marriages that a white man have failed compare to an Asian man in today's modern society? In fact, white man has something called "white man privilege" so they felt that they could do whatever they want. That is why single non-Asian ladies should change the game also. One of the main reasons why Asian man lasted a very long time when it comes to the marriage because of their culture and old-tradition. When it comes to marrying an Asian man, they take it as like it is part of the family tradition. If you want my suggestion, I would say non-Asian woman/white woman should go after those American-born Asian man. Why? Because you would never see any cultural differences when it comes to them; they are obviously the better choice. In fact, you can easily tell if they are American-born or not. For example, look at their body language and English speaking skills. It is almost like identical or reflection of yourself, especially day-to-day basis. From my personal perspective, Asian man are less likely to cheat their woman, compare to the non-Asian man. And I DON'T say it because I'm an Asian woman, I say it because I have dated a few in the past. In my old scenarios why my Asian dating didn't go the way I wanted to, because I was too demanding on my Asian man, so they just had enough with me. BUT, in order to keep the relationship going strong, make sure to keep it well-balance and treat together equally. Not only that, regardless of their race or ethnicity, any man wouldn't feel comfortable of being taking advantage especially in today's modern society. I have learned my lessons in my days, so this is why Asian boyfriend is still with me to this day. So if you ever saw an Asian man who have these particular preferences, don't avoid it, take your chance. You never know.
Finding singles are very difficult in today's modern society because of being overly cautious. Besides, nobody wants to make a mistake twice or scenarios that their parents went through in their good old days, right? However, if you are woman who wants to be overly-cautious, make sure NOT to surpass over age 30's, because this is where any man would prefer woman in their 20's instead. Why? At least they would have a better "healthy" choice to have kids compare to woman who are around their 30s. Don't take it too personally, because throughout the history the king have ton of wives and tons of kids. However, would you as a woman have ton of kids with different husbands? It doesn't matter what time period are you in, because you will still consider a no-more-than-an average woman, if you know what I mean. Sorry, loves. Back to the point, if you ladies want to have a long-lasting relationship, it is so obvious that Asian man are probably got way better chance compare to a white man or any non-Asian man because it is according to the statistics. As I mentioned before, why there are so many non-Asian man who are in their 50s or 60s going overseas especially in Southeast Asia to find a wife. It is not personal, but it is the reality.
Keep this in mind, don't expect too much on any type of man regardless of their race when it comes to having higher income or higher standards. Because in today's modern era, women have been giving much more equal or greater opportunity than men does. They are getting paid equally or sometimes higher income than men. This is why white men doesn't seem to have any upper advantage compare back to their good old days so they went somewhere else to find love.
Here is a simple relationship guide that I mentioned on my previous post, but keep this as a reminder: "Do you know that the majority of white men who dated or married to Asian women never last long compare to Asian men?" The best suggestion is go to more Asian meetups or Asian festivals, you would eventually find someone you like there. A great simple way to approach them is to ask questions like, "Hey, are from this area, you look so familiar?" or if the dude is sitting and chill, you could just sit next to them and see if they are willing to talk to you. Again, if you ladies are smart there are many questions you can ask depending on the scenarios.

Kaalia of the Vast was one of my first deck and I had a blast with it for the first games, but then the novelty wore off quickly and now it is my least played deck because is so linear and became boring. With all my other decks I have way more dynamic games, see a lot of different cards and I need to pilot them in more different ways, while Kaalia basically does the same things over and over again with less to none variations.
My idea is to try to brew her in a different way, and one thing that came into my mind is having a blink theme. So, basically use Kaalia to cheat in big creatures with good ETBs and use stuff like Panharmonikon and blink effects to repeat those ETBs while also keeping the board relatively safe from aggression.
I don't think this interaction need to haste Kaalia and get her going fast, I could spare some turns to setup while having plenty of protection for her when I want to go off.
As you can see the decklist is a mess, I am in the brainstorm phase right now trying to figure cuts. I am open to card suggestion and general advice on how I could brew this deck.

I am a High School Math Teacher and I am in search of a game that I can use within a class size of 20-30 kiddos (not all at once, maybe 2-3 pods going at once) to help relieve some stress & bring in a better social climate for my study hall periods. Obviously keeping it "educational" and "applicable," I was at first looking at Catan. I think Catan would be fun, however, the game + expansion only compensate 5-6 players and averages to be around $75. If anyone has any cheap alternatives that can be used, that would be lovely. Side note, if theres a way to have it played online, I have a smart board that I use to lecture with & I think it would be entertaining to have that physical-electronic interaction.
Aside from this game, I haven't played many other board games outside of the RPG and Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know & links are appreciated! I currently am teaching Seniors & Freshmen and will be doing so for a while. In a year or two, I will be teaching an AP Comp Sci course where hopefully building a board game online would be interesting for the kiddos & serve as a good side project. Fingers crossed it goes over well & can be done. Thanks for the help & I look forward to all the responses.

I built my first modern gaming PC in 2011, and after a long life it's finally time for the old girl to retire and for me to move on to something new. I've been out of the PC-building game for awhile, so I could use some help picking parts that will work well together and deliver the performance I'm looking for. Thanks!
What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.
This will be primarily a gaming PC, though it will function as a work computer as well. My most-played game is probably Overwatch 2, but I am also a big Diablo guy and my current 13-year-old set-up really struggles with the latest entry. I also enjoy playing the newest AAA games as they come out (Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, etc.) and would like a rig that can really show off the best of what PC gaming has to offer. I'm thinking 2K/1440p and able to get frame rates of 144+ hz. Ray-tracing, however, is not a big selling point for me and is not a priority or necessity.
When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.
I plan to buy the PC parts on Friday and build it over the long Memorial Day weekend.
What is your budget for the build?
Looking to not spend more than $2,500 total.
What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (ToweOS/monitokeyboard/mouse/etc)
The budget should include a tower and all interior parts, as well as a new monitor. (Current monitor is even older at 15 years, a 23" 1080p 60hz) I'd like the new monitor to be between 27-32 inches on the diagonal and support 2560x1440 resolution and 144+ fps.
Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?
I am located in Southern California and have access to the Tustin Micro Center.
If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.
I will be re-using just my mouse and keyboard. I don't have the brand/model available at the moment, but they have been replaced much more recently and should work fine with whatever parts are chosen.
Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?
I will not be overclocking, as that's a little more intricate and involved than I want to get.
Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)
I'd like at least a 2 TB main SSD for the OS and gaming. I also store a lot of media and would like something like an 8-12 TB HDD included in the build.
Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-towefull-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?
Looking for a case that can fit all the parts comfortably and not be overwhelmingly big. Current tower is about 20" x 20" x 8" and I'd rather not go bigger than that. A plain, black exterior is just fine by me. I am not interested in LED lighting at all as I just find it distracting.
Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?
No, I have a copy of Windows 11 set aside for use already.

I'm thinking 2K/1440p and able to get frame rates of 144+ hz. Ray-tracing, however, is not a big selling point for me and is not a priority or necessity.

The budget should include a tower and all interior parts, as well as a new monitor. (Current monitor is even older at 15 years, a 23" 1080p 60hz) I'd like the new monitor to be between 27-32 inches on the diagonal and support 2560x1440 resolution and 144+ fps.
Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?
I am located in Southern California and have access to the Tustin Micro Center.
If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.
I will be re-using just my mouse and keyboard. I don't have the brand/model available at the moment, but they have been replaced much more recently and should work fine with whatever parts are chosen.
Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?
I will not be overclocking, as that's a little more intricate and involved than I want to get.
Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)
I'd like at least a 2 TB main SSD for the OS and gaming. I also store a lot of media and would like something like an 8-12 TB HDD included in the build.
Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-towefull-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?
Looking for a case that can fit all the parts comfortably and not be overwhelmingly big. Current tower is about 20" x 20" x 8" and I'd rather not go bigger than that. A plain, black exterior is just fine by me. I am not interested in LED lighting at all as I just find it distracting.
Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?

I am 14, and as a kid, in this day and age, one usually has nothing to do. I go to the gym about 4 times a week, but god, since my rest days are on the weekends (gym is closed on Friday) I genuinely have nothing to do. Seriously, all I do besides working out is just rot in my bed with a phone in my hand, or give in to my sexual desires (which I despise, very much). I don’t like living like this, I’ve always wanted to get a job since that gives meaning into someone’s life, but no, since I am just a child, I am stuck in school which doesn’t even teach us anything useful unfortunately. However, I am not complaining, for school is the only social activity I get nowadays. But weekends exist, and with weekends come misfortune. On the weekends I typically just stay at home all day doing absolutely nothing but again, just scroll endlessly on my phone which I hate very much. I cannot go outside alone due to my parents’ wishes, plus, I live in an Arabic country. so no nature or grass anywhere here… and to top it all off, I’m in a place with just buildings and roads… I genuinely just want something meaningful man, when I’m back from school, on a rest day atleast, I’m alone. Parents are working, siblings are at college, and here I am. At home, with genuinely nothing to do, and it drives me insane. And on the weekends (when my family is actually at home) my sisters just bond together, they wouldn’t want me to be there since we share completely different interests, and they are much older than I am (19 and 23). My father is a hard working man no doubt, but on the weekends he just plays video games. its pretty hard to talk to a man when he’s just on the screen, so I can’t exactly bond much like that. My mother is usually in her room, talking to people over the phone, or just on social media. My family has given into the device-lifestyle hard, and the truth is, I just want to go outside more, spend time with my family and the ones I love, I don’t have a girlfriend or any female friends in general (I am in an all-male school, my gym is also full of men and I don’t go outside enough to find women anywhere else). I have friends, a good amount in fact, but outside of school I am a lone man. I only go out with my friends every couple of weeks (if you exclude the gym with me and my friend). I just want a real hobby, something meaningful I can do all day instead of be a loser indoors with no purpose. They say your teenage years are the best in your life, but are they? I’d really just prefer to a grown man, with a job, responsibilities, meaningful futures, a partner, children, and a home surrounded in nature… but what do I know? I am just a kid after all. However, my…spidey senses have been tingling for the past month because Sasha and him have been spending a lot of time with each other at work based on his stories but we hardly ever text during the week now and we only see each other 1 night on a weekend —late at night and ready for bed— as his job is very demanding atm. Two mos ago he also told me that Sasha broke up with her long term bf.
Anyway long story short, I ended up snooping on his texts with her and I feel torn, reddit friends. There was nothing malicious, but she texted him asking him if he wants to come over and share a pizza with her on a Saturday night!! Two weeks before that, she also invited him on 1:1 drinks out on a weekend night. He rejected both invites saying he already had plans. But she would send him selfies of her every now and then, mundane stuff like what she’s cooking for dinner, picture of her chilling on the couch (he asked her if she was wfh that day) and also picture of her at the salon (he wondered why she tool a day off). He would sometimes respond with photos of his dinner or his computer screen.
The problem is that he is very very private about his personal life at work (only 1 other female and 1 coworker knows our relationship because they are close feiends outside of work). So Sasha doesn’t know I exist. If she was hitting on him, technically its fair game from her perspective. Admittedly, I am upset that my bf is not forthcoming with our relationship in general. It took me 1.5 years to meet his friends. I’m sure he enjoys the female attention but idk if he is being oblivious with her trying to shoot her shot. I can’t confront him because he’ll figured out I snooped. I know I know its not my finest moment.

Easily some of the most fun I’ve had this season playing the new HeartseekeVictimize build even though there’s alot of jank and you can very quickly see how majority of Rogues class design clashes with it. However, I’m making this to hopefully not get this nerfed/removed from the game but expand on basic skill builds because I think there is opportunity for even more fun and blasting.
Forceful Arrow buffs/changes
TLDR for rework: Lucky Hit proc removed, unfun, and not thematic at all aside from knockback. All Affixes including Unique effect changed for the better, lets make Uniques actually unique. Took a small amount of inspiration from previous iterations like D2/D3.
Windforce VFX: Needs a small update. This happened in D3 way later in its life cycle. It needs to happen to all Uniques period. Apply an off-white or beige colored Wind effect (Scosglen Druid bosses have the effect im referencing) that travels along the bows limbs starting from the Riser and going to the tips of the Limbs.
Flavor text and Lore: Can’t help but feel the current flavor text and lore is lacking. The bow could come from a Rogue that gave up being an assassin and thief, that traveled to Scosglen to learn be one with nature and as a gift, a druid blessed his bow with wind to defend Nature and its inhabitants.
Could be a tale with no specific characters or create new lore characters for it like plenty of other uniques. Need to expand the lore and story, thats for sure.
If anyone has anymore ideas for the topic, I’ll add them to the post if I like it.

Forceful Arrow buffs/changes
- Lower damage than Heartseeker currently, could use a small dmg buff, and dmg per level
- All upgrades need changed, because currently they are not good and have very little use just like the skill.
- Enhanced Forceful Arrow - Forceful Arrow gains 5-8% Critical Strike Chance
- Primary Forceful Arrow - Forceful Arrow now pierces all enemies (no 3rd cast nonsense)
- Fundamental Forceful Arrow - could stay the same but with proposed Windforce rework below, both would clash in that particular instance
- Aspect of Multishot - Forceful Arrow gains 3-7 additional projectiles. Forceful Arrow gains 25% (x) increased damage. This allows us to replicate Multishot from D2&D3 combined with the above changes.
- Aspect of Basic Precision - Precision now affects Basic skills instead of Core skills. Since we would have tons of piercing projectiles, we wouldnt need Victimize for clear.
- Affixes: Implicit - 40-50% Knock-back chance - moved from unique effect, allows for more unique, creative things.
- +4-5 to Marksman Skills - Works with builds that use core, basic and/or rain of arrows.
- 500-600 Dexterity - All rounder, much higher than normal, inspo from previous games, fits with Unique effect perfectly.
- 10-15% Critical Strike Chance - All rounder
- 25-30% Movement Speed - Fits the thematic of the Windforce imbuing you with wind.
- Unique Effect - Arrows release a small wind explosion on hit dealing x damage. Damage increased by x% for every 50 Dexterity - Stacking attributes is a fun mechanic for gameplay changing effects. Also easily tunable, lots of knobs to adjust.

As someone who has played a few 2D fighter games causally with friends, the difficulty in TFH is beyond fair. The character and story is fantastically interesting, and I think the game has a really nice charm to it but man is it just horrifically unbalanced. I'm not a bad gamer nor am I hyper competitive, I'm just your average Joe. I've 100% all the RE games, but RE1, and has 100% & beaten Ascended Radiance in Hollow Knight yet this game is too much of a challenge.
My main, and only really complaint is that it frustratingly difficult. The controls are a little slow on response, your light attack is very frustrating to use cause you have to hold for ~0.5 or so seconds instead of just tapping, and the enemies not only block most your attacks but will pretty much always combo you when they hit you, so much so it got in the way of one, not being able to enjoy the game but two being unable to proceed through the story.
Cuddles (mind you, is a fantastic name) felt like the difficulty equivalent to Dung Defender. A bit tough for your first boss but fine for anyone who's played any 2D fighters, but Velvet?! I've tried for about half an hour and her difficulty felt like the equivalent to Nightmare Grim, and again this is on beginner! Her attacks are so fast it's practically impossible to dodge with the clunky movement, and if this one of the easy bosses them I don't see how anyone is meant to finish the game.
I really would like to try to get into the game but it's just too hard. Is there anything I can do?

At least in other games I feel like I can get good with the guns by practicing in aim trainers and the practice range, but the Finals guns just feel completely unpredictable. And even if they were, why would you want a game that's just COD/Valorant with buildings that explode?
I've had more fun playing wacky stuff like the demat and the hammer than I've ever had playing a game before. If being competitive means I have to play the boring option, I'd just go back to playing the games where the boring option is at least perfected.

Good news everyone! While my little brother and I had a lot more cards than this between the two of us when we were younger, it seems like a lot of the valuable ones survived the usual parents purge! Here's a link to an imgur photo album of the bulk of the binders (~30 pictures with a couple extra random shots of what else I found in the binders). I am honestly dumbfounded by the luck, because I know my parents didn't save these on purpose while giving away so many others haha. I thought they were lost over a decade ago. I don't even know where to start! I wanted to share this basement find with some people who might appreciate it, and maybe get a little advice on how to approach the evaluation process.
First, I realize my pictures really suck, I just went through quickly to start here to get an overview of the collection. Obviously these were stored back to back in the binders, and some of the pockets have multiple (from what I can tell less rare) cards stuffed into them, so I'm not sure what else might be stashed in these quite yet. I figure the first step is to sleeve everything and top load the rarer ones, then start figuring out which ones are worth evaluating further and start taking better picture, correct? I'm guessing a good number of these are in rougher conditions since my brother and I both played the TCG pretty heavily and clearly weren't overly cautious with how we stored them. We at least sleeved our decks, but even just trading on the playground probably caused some scratches here and there. That being said, we did cherish them and didn't want to damage them, so who knows what I ultimately have quality wise.
I guess the main reason for posting is to see if anyone has general advice for getting started with the evaluation process? Even just basics, like do I want a directly overhead light when taking photos, or is there a good angle I should shoot at? Is there a color that works good contrast-wise that I would want to place the cards on when taking the photos? I would assume it's better to take pictures of their condition before putting them into sleeves/cases, no?
I've browsed through TCG Player and it seems like we've got a decent collection, but I've never resold TCGs before. The resleeving and cataloging will be time consuming enough to start. Does anyone have experience trying to unload an old collection like this? Did you try to sell them individually, as a collection, or a combination of both? How long did it take? Any cards in our collection stand out at first glance here as particularly cool and/or valuable that would be worth grading consideration if they're not too beat up? That is, outside of just the obvious big ones. Which one is your favorite? Mine was always that first holo promo Mew that I got from the TCG events, it was the coolest thing as a kid! I really loved my Dark Blastoise as well since I always picked Squirtle in the 1st gen games.
Obvious disclaimer: I am not looking to sell here (I read the rules!) or at all until I have the time to go through everything more thoroughly and discover what all I actually have. I'm mostly just looking for tips and wanted to share my excitement! Please don't DM me offers.

I find it very funny that they gave all 3 of Spencer’s storylines to Jordan. They took away Spencer’s hiseman storyline and gave it to Jordan, they recycled Spencer having the best season of his life storyline and gave it to Jordan and now Jordan’s supposed to have the thinking/declaring for the draft storyline…. The show's need to try to elevate Jordan to Spencer's level is nauseating, why can’t Spencer have shit to himself like they been doing this shared storyline shit between the two of them since season 3.
“He’s not just a number guy” He wasn’t just a numbers guy when he was backing your ugly ass up, he wasn’t a numbers guy when he helped you tank Spencer’s stats, wasn’t a number guy when you and Mac actively took Spencer out the offense, the hiseman running, and worsted YOUR FRIENDS chances in the draft. He was Mrs. Numbers guy all season since it was helping him and now Mac turned on you like he did Spencer now it’s a problem… interesting. Not saying he shouldn’t be mad but I find it funny how he talks a big game about Mac sabotaging him like he didn’t do the same to Spencer.

They go into halftime loosing with coach Kenny on their ass telling them that this is the championship blah blah blah then Spencer’s confronts Jordan and talks him off and ledge and says something along the lines of get your head in the game and forget about Mac this is about us we’ve made it this far because of you blah blah blah. They come out of halftime start dominating on both sides when Jordan gets hurt and now they have to come up with another plan and have an unreal comeback to win the game. Either that or Jordan gets hurt making the last play of the game to Spencer which he scores and then they win🤷🏾♀️

Been trying to find this game I would play on my grandmas pc for years, the most I can remember from it was that it was a shooter game and the character you played looked something like an astronaut and ( the closest video game character I can remember it looking like was the protectrons from the fallout games but my memory is faint ) I believe the first level you were underwater? It was always one of my favorites and would spend hours looking for it and found nothing. Hopefully someone can help me find it.

I’m not sure if this is the correct forum to post this but just need to vent ig. I’m 23, soon to be 24; I graduated from college w my bachelors in Biology in December of 2022. All throughout highschool and half way into college, I had the aspirations of going to medical school. My mom pushed this dream onto me as well, however, half way into my sophomore year I started to struggle w certain upper division course loads. I’d study hard, read my notes and books and yet my scores were below average. I couldn’t imagine putting myself through such a rigorous and intense process. Growing up and into my adulthood, my mom would constantly compare me to family and even my own friends and I think it has screwed me up (or maybe its the SA I underwent as a kid and my family downplaying it). I live at home, I graduated, I work as a sub, I save my money and usually either go to the gym or stay in my room playing video games or watching tv. I honestly didn’t think I’d make it past highschool, my dreams were merely dreams so once everything was accomplished it left me grasping straws. I cried at my college graduation, I had no cords and I had no friends to sit next to; I felt like an imposter amidst all these other successful students. I’ve tried dipping my feet into diff things, but every time my family asks me about school I get frustrated. They’ll say things along the line, “so this it for you?” Or “you need to choose now, you’ll be 25, then 40 then your life is over”. I want to study, I enjoy learning but I hate how rushed courses are and how I’d struggle. I’m scared of going back to school and failing. I’ve had some peace of mind ever since I graduated but I still find myself constantly comparing myself to everyone else’s journey.
—- also, I have friends my age and older who tell me I’m doing fine. They validate my feelings and preoccupations but I always bring myself down with where I’m at in life.
My mom is disappointed in me, she never denies it when I confront her when we argue. I honestly still feel like a kid, idk if it’s bc I was robbed from having a childhood for 7 years or maybe I’m just mentally stunted. All I asked from my mom was time and understanding so I could figure myself out, but being at home I can feel my family’s eyes and dissatisfaction w me. I feel like I have more to say but I’d just be rambling tbh, just wish my family were proud of me. I always try to please them and put them over my wants. Like, I’ve literally been attending the same church with my abuser and hear him preach; I stay bc if I mention the idea of going to another church my mom throws a fit.
I rambled so much, I’m sorry. I just feel like I’m honestly at my wits end. I honestly just want to live a very simple life, I want to be happy, have a roof over my head, and enough money to treat myself from time to time; but, I feel ashamed to even have a dream that small compared to others
