Court character reference letter for emb

We just got a court notice for unsecured debt from BDC of $40000 for which their lawyer has filed a claim in The king's bench. I have another 4 days before 20 days time complete to respond and the letter says their lawyer can then seek default judgement. I do not own any assets or have no savings in my bank. But me & partner have no bad intentions and still wanting to settle it down somehow without going through bankruptcy or consumer proposal route. We both are currently no making any money but working hard day and night to set up our small business anticipating it should work out for us.
This is an old debt & my last communication with the bank was in July 2023. This was a business start up loan with personal guarantee.
I couldn't pay back the loan due to financial hardship due to family & stressful time & now I am wanting to settle it down with a Lum sum payment with the help of my parents from their pension They promised upto 4-5 k savings they can do if we wait 4 months. I am working on setting up my small owner operator business; however, currently making no money since last 2 years) and I am hoping if I can save some in 3-4 months. So looking to buy some time from BDC & . However, I am not sure what is the best way to go about it at the moment & looking to take assistance from you with dealing with this situation. We are very stressed out at this time and this is effecting our young kids as well. Any suggestion is appreciated.

Ok this might be a bit long... I'm in the state of Massachusetts and been on workers comp since October of 2021. The limit here is 3 years and this October makes it the 3. Everything's was going good and adjuster always paid my checks bi weekly and most my meds. I temp at my job went crazy and attacked me with an almost 2 foot pipe wrench that weighed at least 20 lbs. I was in my car and he destroyed it along with my face head and shoulder. I was knocked out for I really don't know how long but was pouring blood everywhere. Me and this man never had an issue or words at all. So I was sitting in my car eating lunch and was dark since I worked 2nd shift and there was basically no supervisors on my shift. I don't really eant to get more into the assault but will say I had eye damage esp. from the glass from the first strike through my window that knocked me out. My shoulder was injured and motion is back but couldn't finish PT due to my migraines which got better but with quilipta and zavzperat spray and Botox injections from a nuero. I still get them and triggered by certain things but did improve a bit since 2021.this man was not even clocked him my boss invited him to live there and sleep at the warehouse whenever the office went home and he would come since he was homeless and sleep wake up drink and just very odd guy which me and a co worker complained many times about his drinking and making us uncomfortable and my boss would just laugh. So they knew there was negligence and co operated fully and so did workers comp up until few months ago started sending me to imes which is when I finally got an attorney.my state can't use for apin and suffering when it comes to workers comp. The thing I face know which I did have anxiety and depression a bit in the past and was in and out of therapy through the years with self medicating before that around 2008 off and on also due to my brother's death. Since this assault though wow I panic daily about little things. Extremely scared to drive or leave the house. My family does almost everything for me and I'm a 37 yr old male. I'm on about 12 meds total and 9 is for mental health. I am diagnosed with post concussion syndrome, agoraphobia, depression, anxiety and insomnia. Of course the imes the insurance sent me to treated me so bad the first was a neurologist and tried to treat me as a psych patient the second wasn't rude and was actually a psychiatrist but could tell was not listening at all to me and wrote I have no issues and I am all good just like the first time. My attorney sent me to his own ime that will say just based on my pictures and medical records that I am disabled for life. My neurologist therapist and psychiatrist all wrote great letters but said they don't know if or when I will get better but also didn't say I am disabled for life and that's what my attorney is looking for but said the letters will help and are greatly written esp. how it goes against the imes. He said the judge knows how it goes insurance gets there guys they pay 900 to to make a report and my attorney gets his guy and plus treating Dr s that the hospital recommended through occupational therapy. My memory is very bad and sorry if I'm all over the place. My question is I have court on June 4. Saw my attorney Dr. Yesterday. Today attorney called me to talk about the case. He said you're payments stop October anyway and I'm sure I can get it to that but October comes the judge can cut off all money or extend it 4 years of checks but cut in half which is like 43000 in them years he said he would like to fight for full life long disability but due to my age being 37 it's an uphill battle but doesn't mean he can't get it but if I was in my mind 40s he said he'd have full confidence getting it. That's one my questions about the age thing also he told me they said well we would offer about 45000 to settle and a little more to settle the mental part of it he laughed at them he said. He said I can get you 100,000 but probably and this is all jus predicted but about 75,000 before I pay him his 20%. I really don't know what to do. I'm afraid it's such a low amount for head I jury and sever mental trauma where I don't have friends anymore and don't leave the house and pa ic non stop. Also want to be done with this and try and move on like my dr.s said maybe you'll start healing once this is behind you. I do have mass health insurance and they fill a lot scripts no problem when workers comp should be. So my attorney thinks it's fully up to me and court is less then 2 weeks and it takes him about a week to put together a settlement amount request hes cobfident about 75,000 i said i need to think hes said of course. I'm thinking I should ask him I won't take less than 80,000 but look more for 85,000 or little more. More I get he gets I know. I just don't want to piss him off he's very intimidating blunt straight forward guy. Any similar stories and advice should I say ok go for 75 or should I say try for 80 or85,000. I feel like if he thought he could get it he would since he gets a percentage. Sorry for the long rant guys. Any advice is helpful,tia.

1. Lightbringer

I’m sure we’re all familiar with Lightbringer’s forging but I’ll go over it quickly for those who aren’t. He tempered the blade in water, it broke, he tempered it in the heart of a lion, it broke, finally he killed his beloved wife with it and the sword became magical. Jaime’s lightbringer, in my opinion, is the positive change in his character. The personality is first tested in the baths (water), when he confides in Brienne. I think this is when Jaime’s opinion of her changes, and he no longer dislikes her. However, he “breaks” when he nearly passes out after sharing the details of the Mad King’s death. When Jaime gets back to King’s Landing, he tempers his new personality with his family (Lions). He is more honest and dutiful towards them, which leads to their relationships “breaking”. Tywin wants him to quit the King’s Guard, but Jaime refuses because it was a commitment for life he now wants to see through. This results in his father growing very angry with him. Jaime is honest with Tyrion, and tells him the truth about Tysha, which results in his little brother hating him, and wanting to fight him the next time they meet. He is honest with Cersei, telling her that her plans are bad, and that she’s surrounding herself with yes men and spies, and she grows angry with him and dislikes him. His new personality was tempered in a lion and their relationships break. Finally, there’s the wife. Jaime isn’t married, but loving Cersei is a big part of his character. I’ll bet if George ever locks in Jaime WILL kill Cersei, if not because of Azor Ahai than because of the Valonquar prophecy. Cersei is prophecies to be killed by a younger brother. Although her and Jaime are twins, Jaime came out seconds after her, making him also her little brother.

1. Flaming Sword Dream

I’ll be honest, I’m not sure where Brienne fits into this theory, but I would imagine she’s a part of it. Jaime sleeps and has a dream of him and Brienne with flaming swords holding off the darkness. The flaming swords represent probably lightbringer, but the dream is had while he rests his head on the stump of a weir wood! That’s GOTTA mean something.

First a couple legal acronym meanings for those unaware of what these stand forTRO-Temporary Restraining order EPO-Emergency Protective Order.
I 38f reside in Rverside County, CA. I’m wondering how to go about filing a lawsuit against my former landlord for his illegal self-help eviction as well as him knowingly allowing me to live in uninhabitable conditions. When I attempted to withhold rent and make him aware of my decision to do so, He violently assaulted me, harassed me in many other ways, and retaliated against me in the most unbelievable ways (ie. shutting off my electricity, water and plumbing, witholding my mail, and keeping me from my patients as the house on the property that he owns but doeNOT live in was my place of employment at the time.) He also caused my great financial ruin in one of his attempts to have me removed from the property by filing a false TRO and EPO against me forcing me to have to leave for 6 weeks. I had to shell out thousands of dollars in air bnb fees due to that little stunt. He also never allowed me to gather the remainder of my things as when I arrived to do so, he had random people moving my things out of the unit that I was still in lawful possession of. He not only violated my tenancy rights, but also basic human rights and continues to do so with the tenants that still reside there. I want to stop him from continuing to do so. EVERY single government entity I’ve attempted to get help from (ie. Sheriffs dept, code enforcement, fair housing counsel, adult protective services, but especially the RCSD) has failed me greatly as I attempted to reach out to them numerous times and was told by every one of them that “there’s not much I can do for you”. My landlord violated the restraining order I had in place against him the very day he was served with it and when I called the sheriff about it, they did nothing! He has violated the restraining order more than once and neither time was he held accountable for doing so. The RCSD has been MORE than negligent. I even attempted a call to the watch commander whom pretty much gave me the same crap all the officers did. They keep telling me that they can’t get involved in civil matters when I know for a fact that this is not merely a civil matter but a criminal matter finable up to $100per day he stays in violation of my civil rights. It’s even stated in their penal code. So any attempt to hold him responsible for his blatant violations of my rights have been met to no avail So here I am doing everything to the letter of the law and going about this the legal way, while he’s basically being rewarded for being an abusive slumlord who sees my attempts at legal action as nothing but a game. I’ve got mountains of evidence to back up ALL of these accusations and need help persuing a lawsuit… the problem is…all of my savings were squandered when I had to pay thousands for an Air BnB when I was forced off of the property due to his false claims against me which prompted the approval of his EPO. At the hearing for that TRO, his claims were found by the judge to have no merit and so it was not extended. I attempted to seek payment from him for such expenses at that hearing, but the judge wouldn’t grant it to me bc I had not served him with my answer to the TRO prior to the hearing. I truly feel like I have a solid case here against my landlord and possibly even against the RCSD as I feel they pretty much assisted him in illegally attempting to remove me by cutting my utilities. Like I said though, since I accrued astronomical costs not only on temporary housing, but moving costs as well, my funds have been exhausted. Are there any lawyers that would possibly take my case on a winning contingency? I’ve tried to find one, but keep running into dead ends or just being referred to legal aid services which I always feel are kind of scammy. Any advice as far as what I can do to move forward with this matter even though I don’t have the finances to cover upfront costs?

This is an update. Story of what happens if deceased doesn't write down their wishes for their estate. Situation: Cousin age 80 died, recluse, had no will, no immediate family. 3 cousins on his mother's side combined forces to handle the estate. We retained an attorney specializing in elder law, experienced with intestate cases. Cousin had one house, several parcels of land, savings bonds, accounts in 6 different financial institutions, estate total approaching one million.
Per Virginia law, the estate will be divided 50-50 between maternal relatives and paternal relatives. We (me for maternal side, cousin on paternal side who has done genealogy work on their family) have identified total 40 cousins who are heirs. Descendants of cousins mother's 8 siblings, and cousins father's 4 great-uncles. I have compiled addresses, phone numbers for everyone, and email addresses for all that have an email. I have talked to, and corresponded with, some very interesting folks. It's been fun! Start by to talking to one person, then talk to their siblings, then talk to their great aunt, and the wife of this other one, and find their cousin, and so on. Attorney very happy with our work.
Attorney will send info letters to all heirs soon. Then another cousin will go to court to be appointed Administrator and start an account for the estate. Attorney will arrange for bonding agent to go to court with that cousin to post the required bond. Attorney will take care of petitioning court whenever that needs to be done as things progress. One advantage, cousin lived in rural Virginia county with helpful people at funeral home, at the court, at the local paper.

Warning, this is going to be a long one. I’m male in my early twenties. The events I will be referring to have been taking place for the last 10 years. As a child my mother worked and my father stayed home with us. My mother’s income as the soul bread winner made us upper middle class. When I was young, my dad was the best father a kid could have asked for. He used to entertain every child in the neighbourhood building luges, a basket ball court and skating rinks. i learned as an adult that my mother and him had made a deal that my father would return to work as an engineer, once I was in middle school. This never happened. My father, then started getting depressed and started lashing out at my brother and I regularly. my father never wanted to go back to work. He decided to start publicly supporting trump during the first trump election. This made no sense as we are Canadian. Over the coming years, he slowly became an obsessive, compulsive and aggressive, conspiracy theorist. He began to spend more and more of my mother’s money on ridiculous, extravagant things. He didn’t do anything around the house either. there wasn’t a day in my high school life, that my dad didn’t scream at all of us at the top of his lungs about government control. By the time I went to university, may father had changed completely. I went home as little as possible. My mother at this point, enduring 6 years of domestic abuse, finally asked for a divorce. My father then moved out. He lived with some people in their early 30’s, that he met at a protest of some sort. It was at this time, I finally came out as gay. as a child my parents to me that I could be whatever as long as I was happy. My catholic mom accepted me as always. However, my father freaked out when he heard the news. He told me that the government was controlling my brain. He thought at this point that we were all “projections, in a simulation. Here to test him and kill him, if need be.” in the times I’ve seen him since, I’ve heard him referring to me as a faggot to his siblings. My father turned to very regular use of hallucinogenic drugs. Eventually, my father got arrested during covid for assaulting a police officer, after an argument where he refused to put on a mask. This lead to some pretty public legal trials were he was sent for a psych evaluation at a psychiatric prison. at this time, he was staying at one of my grandmother’s property. Unbeknownst to my grandmother, his hippy friends were staying there with him as well. I went to the house, to clean up while he was incarcerated. The place was a disaster. His friends were growing magic mushrooms in my grandmother’s bedroom. I was furious. i decided call the police, giving them all of the drugs I found in the house and his friend’s and my dad’s names. He friends who had been arrested with him got an extra 6 months in jail. My mother began to speak regularly with him during this process. Near the end of the month, from the Internet and drug detox. He became to seem like his old self. That was until, he was notified of what I did. My father then called me and threatened to kill me. Telling me “I’ve met some pretty scary people in here. People who would kill someone for only 20k. Watch your fucking back”. i also received death threats from two of my dad’s siblings. All of this was happening while I was trying to write a physics degree. from here, my father spiralled farther and farther downward. Every time I’ve seen him since he has assaulted me physically. We were pretty well known in our city prior to all of this. The 4 years of my father’s legal trials and the articles that followed effected our standing. Eventually, I couldn’t go to the grocery store without having someone approach me about him. last year, my mother and I went away to celebrate my education being done for a weekend. My father needed a place to stay. My mother got him to dog sit. (They still weren’t legally divorced at this point. He had the right to stay there) I instructed him not to use the wood stove in the basement because I cleaned it out and both my and my moms allergies react to it. There was no reason to use it for eat as the 7000 square foot home had forced air, baseboard electric and an oil furnace as well. He got high, I’m assuming. He left a box of hard charcoals on a pile of wood, went to bed and burnt down the house by accident. It was the worst smoke damage the restoration company had ever seen. He destroyed everything my mother owned, and many of my brother and i’s belongings. my mother had very good insurance, they got more money for the home than it would have sold for. (The dogs got out safe btw) now, he brags about the money. he told us that we should be taking him. Two weeks later, his father, my grandfather, died. when he was in the hospital in palliative care, (my mother works here) my estranged father came in after promising to wear a face mask. He ended up getting into a screaming match with one of the nurses regarding wearing a mask. He had to be escorted out of the hospital. This is the hospital where my mother made the money to support his 10k a month credit card bill. That night, I stayed alone in the hospital room with my grandfather. i wanted him suffer two strokes and die. Then, at 3am, at had to go to my grandmother’s house alone to tell her that her husband of 60 years died. Later on, my father came to the funeral and put up a big scene about not getting to say goodbye to his father, crying at the funeral. All of this is to say that my father brought ALL OF THIS on himself.
In the last 6 months, my father has had a “change of heart and want to reconnect and mend relationships” my father called me, I decided to answer. I told him “I have 3 criteria for seeing you again: 1. him being cold to the touch 2. A sizeable inherence and 3. His casket open for me to piss inside.” I added that “all of this conspiracy crap started because he was too lazy to get a job. Your kids don’t want you in their lives. The best thing you could contribute to society is dropping dead to not waste any more oxygen.” Now, he has repeated his downward spiral. My mother, and extended family are blaming me for the this. They said I shouldn’t have said anything. through all of this my mother hasn’t said anything negative about him other than,”I could never trust anyone again after him. I’ll never date”. I don’t understand these people. I HATE him with every cell in my body. I fell asleep a lot of nights wishing that I would wake up to him dead. Now, I need to be nice so he can heal. I’ve been living with him like this for half of my life. honestly, I don’t even remember the person he used to be.

Context: I love wicked, I saw it twice in the late 2000s, I’ve spent countless hours singing along in the car with friends, and like many ppl who love wicked I was a theater kid. Over the last decade and a half, my tastes have evolved and I enjoy media with a more critical eye. This is not the same as a negative or cynical eye. I have also gone from being *the* musical theater kid to being very much an ex-musical theater kid. And so with the movie coming out I was curious how wicked would hold up for me.
Last night I watched a bootleg. It was pretty good resolution considering, but I think it being a bootleg helped strip away the spectacle to lay bare its structure and quality. And its quality is very inconsistent, both in story and in songs.
For every soaring character moment like Elphie and Glinda grappling with their lives taking them in conflicting directions, there is moment of nauseating fan fiction cringe like the needless fate of the two male leads (a change from the source material that cheapens the show AND wiz of Oz by extension). For every interesting (if underdeveloped) political idea, whether Elphie’s life of underground sentient-rights/Animal advocacy or the the shift of Morrible and the Wizard seeing Glinda as a valuable political asset, there are countering moments where the characters and themes are uselessly undermined in favor of the absolute lamest of conveniences, like the green bottle reveal and the super unclear switch in power dynamics between Glinda and morrible. And why, at the end, must Glinda never know? She would be the perfect ally to them, it makes no sense why they’d keep it from her.
The story quality is truly like an upside down bell curve where it’s either transcendent or the most cringe cheugy bottom of the barrel storytelling.Structurally, act 1 is way better but is nearly back to back songs. It’s almost an opera. Act 2 has a better balance of dialogue but it’s so rushed and the story feels held together with twice used tape.
Same with the songs. Let’s be real y’all. A lot of these songs sound ugly. And so many of them are needless hindrances to the characters and story.
No One Mourns the Wicked - the crowd’s lines are weird and cringe, but glindas parts are very high quality. Could use a rewrite.
Dear old shiz - keep as is. (It’s lucky it’s short.)
Wizard and I - keep but cut the “unlimited” sections since nobody recognizes the reference to over the rainbow anyway unless it’s pointed out to you.
What is this feeling - it’s cute, but adds nothing to the story and is a time suck. Cut.
Something bad - cut. My god cut. Missed opportunity for a dialogue break + develop Dillomond as more than a plot device and have song-less scenes with Elphie and DD be a recurring more grounded storyline. It should also have been meaningfully continued in act 2 when they’re both on the other side of the law, not just the reveal in the palace.
Dancing through life - sorry yall but this song doesn’t cut it. Dancing as a metaphor for laziness? But Dancing isn’t something lazy people do? It doesn’t make any sense, it’s too vague but also too specific (“down at the ozdust”). And like… he sings about valuing his life (“because dust is what we come to”) but in fact it’s the opposite - he takes it for granted and is willing to waste his life until he falls in love with Elphie. The song doesn’t fit the character, or the analogy, and it’s also way too high-school-musical. CUT.
Popular - keep as is.I’m not that girl - keep as is.
One short day - cut and Make it a background score. Or at least Trim it down to the “dress salons and libraries” part, ending with “it’s all green.” Make it a more direct and concise counterpart to “merry old land of Oz”

Finale - eh just parse it down to a for good reprise.
They’re not going to do this, but I wish they give Wicked the Grease treatment for the movie and replace all the weaker songs with better ones or fix with structural changes.
TLDR: upon rewatch, wicked is half soaring and half mega cringe, with far too many ugly songs.

I loved the ending and in fact the whole S6 of Justified. A few thoughts:
Raylan's shootout with Boon is the best gunslinger showdown since Johnny Ringo and Doc Holliday in Tombstone. Ever since we met Boon he's been presented to us as a Ringo-esque foil to Raylan's Holliday (although Raylan's character in general is more akin to Wyatt Earp than Doc Holliday). Boon, (like Ringo regarding Holliday) knows of Raylan's legend and sees him as the man to beat to prove (to himself, others in the game?) that he is in fact the gunfighter he so desperately wants to be. The first time they met (paraphrasing) Boon tells him "well aren't you just perfect? Down to the hat and everything." Boon sees Raylan as the man he needs to put down, or be killed by. Every interaction they have he alludes to this fact. And Raylan knows it. He knows Boon is itching for a gun fight and he suspects he might be up to the task. That's why Raylan doesn't waste too many words in the final showdown. He doesn't tell Boon to keep his hands where he can see them, or to turn himself in or any of the other Law Enforcement maxims he uses on so many others. Raylan knows exactly what Boon is looking for and he gives it to him.
Next I loved the scene in the final episode where Boyd was proselytizing in the prison chapel. Even when he busted out the faux-charismatic raised voice and hand waving, the other inmates were simply not feeling it. This to me represents the fact that the world is done falling for the sweet lies of Boyd Crowder. So many promises and grandiose plans he has never been able to deliver on over the course of the show, but everyone who ever believed in them has wound up dead. Boyd's two superpowers were his ability to convince others to follow him, and the fact that he is a low-down dirty murderer when it comes right down to it. Raylan knows he's full of shit so his telling him in their final visit "You know you're repeating yourself, right?" Is hilarious.
Third, I loved Choo-Choo. Such great acting (à la Slingblade) portraying a brain-damaged soldier and I honestly thought that after he kidnapped Caprice that Walker and Co. would convince their disabled homeboy to execute her... but he stood firm in his conviction that they should spare her. This redeemed his character in my eyes. Walker wanted to shoot it out and the marshals told Choo-Choo that Walker was there on Markham's orders to kill him for his mistakes. He's trying to process this and they tell him "you know it's true" and I think he realizes that... Then his loyalty to his brothers in arms when he's lost everything else in the war wins out and he says "It's all I got" before drawing and shooting out with the marshals is just awesome. And the way he takes two to the chest and keeps on chugging is incredible. I was wondering all along how the writers were going to demonstrate his insane physicality (I thought he was going to punch out Raylan at some point and beat him half to death before Raylan was finally able to draw and finish him) did not disappoint.
I could go on and on but all in all great show and thanks to this subreddit for the recommendation. Because of things I read here I persevered through some slow moments in the first season and finished out this show which was a great story and a love letter to the westerns of old.

This may seem like a random request, but I’ve recently come to love the chill, sensual sound of many of the pop songs from the Fifty Shades movies’ soundtracks. Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding and I Don’t Wanna Live Forever by ZAYN and Taylor Swift are the best examples to convey the sort of vibe I’m looking for. If anyone knows of any soft, romantic and sort of dark pop or dance songs that fit this theme, please let me know! I have original ideas all over and a lot of Fandoms I'm in, which I'Il include below. I'm looking for OCXOC. Every character must be 18+ I have plenty of original characters and ideas along with fandom plots.
For original ideas, i like horror and apocalypse with action and depending romance. I do have a variety. I really like monsters and creepy things from the horror genre like vampires and Tentacles, and l even have my own idea set up in modern times dealing with vampires and hunters and all of that i also enjoy eldritch type horror. I also like old-school slasher films and space sci-fi horror similar to the Alien Franchise.
Now on fandoms! To get some other things down, l only play OC. The anime fandoms i like are Jojo's, Chainsaw Man, Naruto, JJK, Soul Eater, and more. I'm well versed in the Jojo's, Naruto, and JJK, and soul eater fandoms, though it's been a while since ï've stopped keeping up with soul eater. Other fandoms im in include Percy Jackson, Call of Duty, Marvel, and DC.
I tend to use character sheets to describe my character. These are very thorough and usually consist of names, backgrounds, and personalities, along with an in-depth look on appearance. More so on appearances, I don't usually use picture references, but I will if you would like me to.
The types of characters I write are the lone wolf type that has some sad past, which leads them to potentially go off the rails and gain a villain arc.I like all types of tropes, especially enemies to lovers or rivalry. I also really enjoy opposites attracted as a whole from either opposite personality or something else they would be opposites in. Enemies to lovers takes my heart, though.
I love seeing the characters go past theurge to ultimately hate each other and/or go past their usual way of disliking the others' lineage or upcoming I also love good written trauma moments. Like character death's, moments of pain and strife only to see the characters to deal and either be consumed or overcome them. I tend to either come up with original ideas for these scenes or use anime scenes as inspiration with narrative tweaks.
REQUIREMENT
I think my two biggest requirements are creativity and good pacing. Like any story, I feel these two things are very necessary to make a good story. Now, by Creativity, I don't mean you need to bring absolute craziness into the story, but abilities, character etc need to have some good genuine thought put into them. Along with that comes good pacing, which means I don't personally care about response length, and mine will vary from scene to scene accordingly.

So I signed up for some betting apps through a gambling research company who paid me to sign up and place bets. They told me I get referral money for referring other people to them as well so I started getting random people from the local basketball courts to sign up. One of them also referred a bunch of people, and the research company has told me they have realized that this persons screenshots and who they refer is all fake and they aren’t actually signing up for anything just taking their money. Since I have been referring for a bit they also know more about me like how I look my full name etc, but they know nothing about these guys. Now that I told them I don’t even know the people really that I referred, they said they are contacting lawyers and that I am liable for the scams that these people I referred have allegedly done. But most of my signups other than those guys are entirely legit. What can the lawyers do? Will they contact everyone to see what’s going on? Or just look through the information the company has to determine who is at fault? Can I be in trouble for referring people who intended to fraud when I didn’t know their intentions? I did get paid small amounts for each referral which I can return but they are asking me for the money they sent to everyone. It’s under 5000. I don’t know what to do I know I fucked up by referring people I didn’t know well, but how can I be held liable for all of this? What can I be held liable for?

Sorry for the long post. I'm in need of some guidance...
Split from abusive husband last June. Since then he has been having our 3 children sleep over 2 nights every week. Today I have seen on a shared email address a drafted letter from his solicitors to have 50/50 shared custody - obviously attempting to get out of paying maintenance!
So up until 6 weeks ago our children would sleep over with him 2 nights a week (eldest refused as he's 15 and can make his own mind up).. originally I had a voice note from our youngest whilst he was in his care (11years old, autistic with severe allergies). This vn displayed my son having an allergic reaction - wheezing, tight chest and sore throat! My husband refused to answer my 6 phone calls.. I then sent him a text 'answer your ******* phone... is *** OK?' To which he rung me back stating 'yes he's ok I'm lying in bed with him now.. he's just a bit wheezy and has an itchy throat (prime examples of anaphylaxis)' I said on the phone to him 'he is probably having a reaction.. do you know how to administor an epi pen!?' To which he replied 'no haven't got a clue'. This all happened whilst I had gone away for the weekend and had no way of getting back in time...
The following weekend my ex 'moved' into his new flat (he's renting a place for the boys but lives with his new piece).. all 3 boys were excited to stay over in dadi's new flat. Long behold I had the dreaded phonecall not only off my eldest (15) but also off the middle child (13) balling their eyes out to come home because; 1. There was water pouring through the ceilings! 2. Daddy wasn't there and that they'd been left with Nanny (paternal grandmother) who was not capable of looking after them due to her previously 'attempting' to commit suicide after WE (myself and husband) had called her out on leaving our then 4, 3 and 1 year old to fend for themselves all day out on the streets! 3. There was no fridge or beds for them all.. just a dart board without darts!
That night I had to go pick my children up.. to which my husband and his mother slagged me off to our children. The following day I allowed the youngest to stay with his dad - the eldest 2 refused to see him.
When the youngest got home to me the next day, he disclosed that he was left in the flat for hours by himself and didnt know where his father was. This is a highly functioning autistic child with severe allergies! My friend happened to drive past the ex's flat that evening and noticed my husbands friend standing outside. When I questioned my youngest about this, stating 'oh it must have been nice to see ***** yesterday!?' He replied with 'oh yeah, the door bell rang so I ran down stairs to answer it, and ***** was there asking where Dadi was. But I couldn't tell him because I hadn't seen Dadi for a few hours!'
That week I sent the father of my children a list of what I expect of him inordered for him to have the boys over night again; 1. Sort your life out (I'm under the impression that he's on drugs - he's racked up 26k of debt since leaving, but all debt collectors letters still come to the 'family' home) 2. He makes the flat safe for our children (damp and leak). 3. He doesn't go against my wishes with his mother looking after them. 4. Our youngest actually has a bed to sleep in - he's been on a blow up bed since last summer, eventhough I have provided a double bed for the children. 5. He puts our children 1st - He now acts dad of the Year to his latest supply and her 3 children constantly sending them money (bank statements Still come here). 6. Pays back the £600odd that he owes me (he told me to go ahead and order the boys trainers and clothes and he would pay me back his share the following day).. nope a month I've had to wait for it, eventhough he knew I didn't have food or electric in the house for the boys that week, but he could pay £20 for his 'secret' phone to talk to his new piece!
The youngest has spent 7/8hours with his dad every Sunday during the day since.. the eldest 2 still refuse to see him. The only thing I have stopped is over night visits due to the welfare and concerns I have surrounding our children - eldest 2 are in therapy because of his abuse and manipulation tactics!
The last 6 weeks have been nothing but hell..I'm a single mum on UC, caring for my mother, bringing up my 3 boys and paying all the bills including the mortgage (his name is still on it). I have put maintenance up to £200 a week based off his £800 a week main income - he is also working 2 nights on top of this a week (the 2 nights he should have his own children).
Today I saw a drafted letter on our shared email address from the solicitors of my husband. In this email, it states that I have been aggressive toward their client and I'm withholding the children having contact with their dad unless he pays maintenance. Their dad rings and texts them every day.. the only thing I have stopped is over night visits - its down to them if they want to reply or not.
The letter also states that I should include the ex on a family app so that he knows what's going on with the children.. why do I have to organise a calender for him when he's included on spond and WhatsApp groups for the boys sports?
I have tried my best to encourage my children to see their dad.. I am under womens aid for abusive and sexual violence.
That's all I want is for the children to have a healthy relationship with their dad.. but still he tries to manipulate and control me through the children.
I am monitoring all texts between my children and their dad - he still tries his best to make me out as the bad guy, eventhough the eldest 2 can finally see what he's like.
So my questions are.. can the courts force the children to see their dad? What can I do to stop him from having 50/50 access? Am I being unreasonable with my list of what I expect of him with the children's welfare?

A bit of a long post today summarizing Stannis's character journey through the books. Don't read if you don't mind a little Stannis dickriding. Sorry not sorry.
When I first read AGOT, I thought Stannis was pretty cool. Ned mentioned that he was a hard mfr, so I respected that, even if he didn't make an appearance. It also added to the mystique that this guy who hadn't showed up yet was massing an army just a couple dozen miles from King's Landing with a sorceress. Overall great side character in the first book.
Next book, he's at his worst (which is still pretty good, anyway). Pre-Renly assassination, Stannis was kind of a jerk. One line that stuck out to me was the "not allowing laughing at his feast" part. He wasn't mysterious anymore, he was just a guy with a small army and a huge navy groveling about what is rightfully his but wasn't granted to him. Stannis mostly stops his groveling after Renly's death, though, and gets his act together. The Blackwater was probably my favorite sequence in the books. The idea of guys charging across a burning bridge of ships redeemed whatever qualms I had about him before. He had an army willing to charge across a burning bridge of ships. Compare that to the dicking around that Renly did for most of the second book, hosting tournaments and feasts at every minor holdfast he came across.
Stannis's character development up to this point is minimal. He's stayed mostly the same, although with less complaining, since he has a larger army. After the Blackwater is really what this post is about, because that's when he changes the most.
He realizes now that with his army basically reverted back to what it was pre-Renly, and with much less of a navy, that he can't hope to win any land campaign against any of his opponents in the South. He can't gather Tyrell swords, and he has no gold to buy a lot of mercenaries. So he sits on Dragonstone and becomes reclusive and despairing.
Then Davos comes back, and so begins the best bromance in Westeros (i'm willing to debate this with my life). Unlike the BS other version, he smiles and is very happy that Davos came back. He appoints a commoner as Hand of the King, knowing he's the only one to give him honest advice. Never done before (to my knowledge). "Then we will make new lords" is such an awesome line. Davos is one of the purest people in Westeros, and 100% deserves it. I realized that if Davos was supporting Stannis wholeheartedly, and Davos was basically an angel by Westerosi standards, Stannis couldn't have been that bad of an option for King.
I think what turned a cool but sometimes annoying character into a legend was his saving of the Wall, at Davos's insistence. He listens to his hand, leaves tiny garrisons in Storm's End and Dragonstone which he's probably confident will be starved out or taken within the year, and heads north. He bets all this on the word of his Hand and a single letter. All the other Kings and various claimants, who had more men than he did, didn't spare anybody. Stannis brings his entire army.
Few of the birds that Aemon) had sent off had returned as yet. One reached Stannis, though. One found Dragonstone, and a king who still cared.
So Stannis lands and disembarks, taking the wildlings by surprise. I think "Stannis! Stannis! STANNIS!" was what turned most Stannermen into what we are today. He defeats 40,000 warriors in an even larger column with 2,000 mounted knights and men-at-arms. He saves the Night's Watch when no other King would, preventing a full-on wildling invasion. I know some people say they wouldn't be as bad as some others say, but nobody can control a horde of 100,000 undisciplined people who just got past a massive wall. There would've been a fair bit of looting and killing.
Then, he listens to Jon Snow, offers to legitimize him and accepts his rejection. He thinks he should attack the Dreadfort, and even though he's famed for being stubborn, he sees reason, and decides on a march on Winterfell. He completely breaks with his character when he also listens to more advice that says he needs to court the mountain clans. He gains three thousand men from this venture. Overall, doing great.
Even if the North is only supporting Stannis to get a Stark back in Winterfell and kill the Boltons, I don't think they'll betray him either. The Great Northern Conspiracy is probably a vast collection of smaller conspiracies, all wanting to get a Stark back ruling the North, as a King or not. Just my thoughts, though, it's completely open to interpretation.
So he rallies whatever remains of the North to him, and liberates Deepwood Motte, giving it back to its original house, getting their support as well. He keeps valuable prisoners and helps to keep an army full of multiple ethnicities and dialects afloat long enough to smash the Freys. He has a great plan which I believe will work.
This is how far Stannis goes in the books. I might update if Winds comes out. I have no delusions, Stannis is doomed by the narrative, but I think (hope) George will do him a service and allow us to have the satisfaction of seeing him string up Roose and Ramsay, and then go out like a boss against the Walkers.
CONCLUSION
Overall, he went from a spiteful man who was, although the better candidate for King than his brother (i'll debate this in the comments if you want) only thought of his rights, and not of his people, at the beginning. Quote:

Unfortunately, that probably won't work out for him, but Stannis is, without a doubt, the greatest of the candidates living. In the Clash of Kings era I wouldn't have said this, but GRRM has shown that he does bend, like when he courted the mountain clans or learnt to serve the people to gain loyalty, not the other way around.
I hope I get to see him roast Ramsay on a spit.

For a long time now, I have been using a simple test for chatGPT, to determine if it has pulled its head out yet or not. To this day, it still consistently fails. For being a damn language model, I would think something like this should be an easy task -- it's something I believe a 2nd grade student could easily answer.
Here's what I ask: Give me a word where the 4th letter is a "Y".
I've used many different letters and letter positions for the prompt, I've over-simplified the prompt, and even very thoroughly explained, with examples, of what I want. Regardless of how I word the prompt it fails miserably, over and over and over, yet thinks it's correct. The types of responses I get are something like this:
Here's a word -- "Fairy". The fourth letter is a "Y"!
I then tell chatGPT that the word is incorrect, and to explain to me why. It will easily, consistently say something like "I apologize, I see where I went wrong. Fairy has an "R" in the 4th position and not a "Y". A correct answer would be "Mystery" -- the 4th letter is a "Y".
We then go round and round in circles, with repeated failures. Every time, chatGPT spits out an answer with such confidence, gets it wrong, and is easily able to explain why it's wrong. Yet it never learns from its mistakes and can never correctly answer the prompt. The closest I've been able to get is by asking it to provide this format, and asking it to repeat until it is succeasful:
Attempt 1 -Guess: Fairy -Number of letters: 5 -Letter in 4th position: "R" -Result: Failed
Attempt 2 -Guess: Puddy -Number of letters: 5 -Letter in 4th position: "D" -Result: Failed
. . .
Attempt 14 -Guess: Beryl -Number of letters: 5 -Letter in 4th position: "Y" -Result: Success
I've done this many times, over months or maybe even years of development, and still it spectacularly fails every time.
Something today that I found weird was, after reaching my frustration limit, I said something like "Okay forget all of that, let's start over with a simple request. Give me a 4 letter word". To my amazement, it says "Certainly! 'Holy' is a four letter word where the 4th letter is a Y!".... I then replied with a "wtf, I don't understand you. Give me five more" and it successfully, effortlessly, spit out 5 more 4-letter words that all ended in Y. So in some backwards-ass round-about way, it was able to come up with successful words, but not without a serious amount of effort, failed attempts, and a scrapping of all my prompts. Instead asking for just a 4 letter word with no other criteria, when it was finally like "Jk, here you go!"
Does anybody understand why it would be so terrible at such a basic prompt? It will provide words with the 3rd character a "Y", many guesses where the last character is a "Y", words that start and end with "Y", words of all different character lengths, but never a successful answer where the 4th letter is a "Y".... And again, it doesn't matter what character you ask for or what position of the word you want it, it just fails every time.
Also, does anybody have similar examples of easy prompts where chatGPT miserably fails? I know I've experienced unreliable math answers, and even inconsistent answers to the same math problem, but I don't expect it to be overly great at math (despite being a computer...). It's a language model after all, not a math wizard, so I can excuse that for now. But what else have you guys and gals seen and been shocked that chatGPT just simply cannot do correctly?

So I found this thing that apparently Maruyama made to celebrate Overlords 10 year anniversary, a how to make an OC guide essentially, and I found it really fun to use. But... then came the struggle of coming up with ideas for WCI and Talents. For reference, my friends and I all made characters. But... I have no idea how to make a good talent or World Item!
If anyone can give me a reference or an idea for how to make one, that would be helpful. As well,

Tell me why when Shawn and Jules finally realise their complete and utter love for each other, it's when Jules is in a relationship?
Dude I like this show. It's not as captivating as Monk or as funny as Brooklyn Nine-Nine. But I love playing it in the background. The characters are strategically designed to all bounce off each other, like a good satire detective show should.
Shawn Spencer. Hiding his insecurities behind many rolls of movie references and his relentless sense of humour. Using his intellect to put himself and his best friend in adrenaline inducing, sometimes dangerous, situations. He's a junky for the epicly new and challenging, and an addict for, dare I say, hot blondes. Though let's face it, he's a dog that'll rub anything the wrong way. It should also be mentioned, he's a complete fraud, a compulsive liar and a trauma filled donut of chaotic proportions with a flair for the dramatic. Unconventional and slightly uncouth, but very charming and easy on the eyes.
IN COMPARISON
Juliet A.K.A Detective O'Hara, a beautiful, socially awkward mess of try hard insecurity and compassionate incompetence. She's your straight A student, a gorgeous athlete who couldn't melt butter in her mouth... until you meet her. Juliet has scotsman blood, which means a wild side where she releases all her crazies and built up aggression from being nice all the damn time, to everyone. How do you do it, detective? She is forgiving, head strong, slightly unstable and incredibly organized. I do believe in Jules life, there is a place for everything, and everyone. Transparent, empathetic, a risk taker and loyal when it counts.
Except when she finally has a boyfriend.
Charming, rich, awkward and a little weird. He really likes her. It's like if Shawn applied himself and wasn't a complete dick. But obviously Shawns badassery far outweighs this mans stability because her and Shawn JUST KISSED.
But this isn't just a kiss. This is Juliet realising she doesn't want to be with anyone else. This is Shawn realising just how stupid he is that he let her get away and how bad he really wants her. This is big. Juliet's a blonde, but she's not a cheater. If Shawn had just made his move before, she wouldn't have considered anyone else. But Jules doesn't wait around for just anyone.
I guess it wouldn't be satisfying to just hand over the clearly destined relationship. But I'm a little disappointed that they portrayed her as kinda floosy when the whole show, she has been nothing but loyal. She waited 7 hours for a man that never showed, a man she hadn't seen in 7 years. She told Shawn to save Abigail despite knowing she would probably die. She stood by Carltons side when all the odds were against him on an investigation for murder.
But Shawn and Jules realise their mistakes through an impulsive kiss, while she's in a new relationship?! I don't think so.
They did Jules dirty, Jules ain't a cheater. I call for a rewrite. It can be argued that Shawn emotionally cheated on Abigail. But that's pulling straws. He made boundaries, he prioritized Abigail, and he sure as heck didn't kiss Jules while in the relationship. He's unjustifiably perverted but he's not a cheat.

For context my(34m) fiancé and I(28f) have been together 9 years and he had 2 children with his ex(33f) and she is not the easiest person to get along with at all the definition of HC. Well for reasons I don't have time or want to explain they never got divorced. He is currently going thru the divorce process and there's a status hearing in about a week to discuss why she didn't want to even try working out a payment plan for mediation. So the coordinator made her aware she would have to go to court for a status hearing about it. So anyways the kids have been staying with us during the week for school and the last day of school is in 2 days. She messaged today and said so are the kids coming on Thursday for the summer? And then directly after "I need to add them back to my case" referring to government assistance which they are currently under ours. So of course we said well not the whole summer and then that set her off about us trying to keep them from her and all kinds of crap. After a few minutes of that it went back to calm discussion about how to split the summer which she originally acted like she never heard of something like that but anyways. We met half way and agreed on biweekly switching off Wednesday or Thursday. We both don't think it'll last long since she'd barely have them there for a day on the weekend before saying it was driving her crazy and they needed to come back but that's the agreement until court. So what is your guys split up for summer time? Oh and the kids are 12m and 9f she also has 2 younger kids from different dads who are 6m and 4m and we have 2 boys together 7m and 1m.

Maybe more for the ladies, but summertime for me is prime time for cheesy, Hallmark-esque stories that I can digest quickly in between kid activities. I love a good Lord of the Rings or classic Jane Austin, but sometimes you want something short and easy.
What are your best recs? I’m asking here because I’m wanting to avoid overly sexualized and “representation.” All the stuff on top lists can’t seem to get through the story without trying to make it soft core or the token letter character that inserts appropriate buzzwords.
