2024.05.21 11:07 lanter67 Ludwig’s ball guide…

After Luds comment on his last stream I did a quick Reddit search and found this post from 9yrs ago in sex by U/LudwigAhgren
Note: It was a funny read and definitely in his charming grammar style.
Note 2: Some of things do not work anymore but, a few still do.
“The Ultimate Guide to Shaving Your Pubes for Beginners (Men)
If you have a bush like Brillo© , or just want to trim up the forrest so others can pass safely, you're in the right place.
I split groin hair into 5 different groups. Below I have listed the difficulty of each area as well as what kind of shave each area shall receive.
This is what we want the end product to look like. (His pubes look like the mustache of almighty Zeus himself!)
Pubic Hair Ball Hair Taint/Gooch Hair High Thigh Hair Shaft Hair
Easiest to shave. Needs to be trimmed down (No new-born baby penis look) Scariest/Most Difficult to shave. This will be a clean shave. Moderate difficulty. Up to shaver, but I prefer a clean shave. Easy to shave. This will be a clean shave. Nicks can happen here easily. This will be a clean shave.
Tools Needed: Shaving cream (MUST - Practice before which shaving cream works best! Sometimes Conditioner can work better),
electric razor (The side that pops out I will refer to as buzzer and the side with the guard I will refer to as electric razor from here on out)
A Women’s! shaving razor (women’s razors have a much higher guard and will protect better than one for men.

*PLEASE BE PREPARED!* I mean it’s your balls we’re talking about here…

Step 1: The first step will be to shave the pubic hair. Depending on how much hair is down there, you have the option to go at it with scissors like a harbor before throwing the buzzer down there. If you have an average amount (2”>x) then go at it with the buzzer. Hover your family jewels over the toilet, you may even choose to sit like a cool substitute teacher. Brush the square side of the buzzer backwards across your pubes vertically. It may seem as if it isn’t doing anything but trust me you’re losing hair faster than LeBraun James. Continue this until you deem it short enough, I like my pubes around 1/2”.
Note Make sure the pubes length is even throughout, focusing on areas that with longer hair to insure optimum symmetry, bitches love symmetry. Use a mirror!

Step 2: Now you’ll want to ‘square’ out your hair and completely shave off any outliers around your pubes. Perhaps you have a leaky happy trail? Or maybe your pubes are ‘fading’ in. Either way you’ll want this instead of this (not penis don’t fret) Use a mirror to make sure it’s not lopsided.

Step 3: Here we are going to tackle that upper thigh hair that encompasses the whole male crotch area. Now get all nakey if you aren’t already and hop in that shower. Make sure the water is warm because you’re going to be in there for a while. Whip out you’re shaving cream of choice, I use this because it makes the blade glide across my nuts (phrase of the day!). To be fair I am more metrosexual than most gay men. Anyway(!) lather that shaving cream on to you’re upper thigh, above the pubes and right around the taint (make sure the water isn’t washing it all away) and start shaving those areas. The shaving razor will insure that these areas are hair-free.
Note Make sure the blade follows the surface of the skin. You want max blade to skin contact.

Step 4: Here’s my favorite part. Shaving the shaft. Why is it my favorite? It adds an inch to your perceived dick length (now your dick will look like it’s an inch longrekt. Extend your dick by pulling out your head. It will give a similar surface on the base of the dick to an erect penis. Now with the shaving cream and razor, shave the front part of the base, while always making sure the base is flat. Then do each side, trying your best to make the area being shaved flat. A flat area not only allows the razor to get more hair, it also prevents little nicks that can occur. I’ll refer back to Davidfor how far down the base you should shave.
Note If you look at the pic of David, you’ll notice he shaved the area to the right and left of his penis. That is totally you’re call, I have no opinion I find both to by stylish in their own penis way.

Step 5: The balls. AKA Holyshitiamsoscarediamgoingtochopmynutsoff. You may be tempted to skip this part, but trust me, hairy balls do not look good when the rest has been shaved. If you start this, you must to finish it. You are the chosen one. You are supposed to bring balance to your pubes, not leave them in darkness! Do it for the (potential) children.
Back to the balls. We’re going to first start with the outside balls. To do this get in your best captain stance which creates a nice U shape between your thigh and outer left/right ball. This is the kind of U Brett Farve has been talking about. Now, using that handy shaving cream and razor, this should be quite easy. Gently go up that are and always going along the grain. Don’t switch up directions here, that’s too ballsy.
After that’s done we’re going to drift away from the pubes for just a bit. Throw some shaving cream on the taint (this is the area that prevents you from shitting on your balls) and you’ll want to shave from your asshole to the base of your balls. Always going in that direction. IMPORTANT If you touch your taint (ew you’re gross) you’ll notice there is a line. Kind of feels like hair running from your asshole to your balls. It’s actually a vein that controls your orgasms. DO NOT SHAVE ON THIS VEIN Shave to the left and right of it. Don’t go directly on it. I don’t think anything will happen if you do… but better safe than orgasmless.

Step 6: Back to the balls and the last part of the shaving in the shower. This part is difficult and to be honest I’m not sure of the best way to approach this. Balls are weird and that they have no fucking shape and 2 million wrinkles. I like to first take my electric razor and use the buzzer part of it. Then I just air swipe my balls getting all the hair about 1/4” short. Then I take the shaving cream and focus on specific parts squeezing my balls to get maximum surface area. This seems to work out for me, but keeping it 1/4 of an inch isn’t that big of a deal. Hair that short is difficult to notice and ladies/men will still suck your nuts.
Note Loosen up before shaving your balls. Take deep breaths and relax. Make sure your asshole isn’t clenched because that raises your balls. And if you’re down there shaving with a clenched asshole, and for any reason your asshole unclenches, you’re balls will drop (again) and hell will break loose. It is better to shave them while they are low and have them clench upwards.

Step 7: Clean up all the pubes off of your body. This is no simple task. Water is an adhesive so you’ll have to detach the shower head and put that all up in your business. I like to turn on the bath and use that heavy rush of water to cleanse my body of those clingy cutoff pubes. Hop out the shower, dry off and look at your masterpiece Michelangelo. But you are not done yet!

Step 8: Similar to barbers, you will have missed a few hair and you’ll probably have a few 2 inch hairs amongst you’re gently coiffed pubes. Grab a pair of nail scissors or whatever tool you prefer and chop those suckers off. The majority will be on your balls. A fun thing I like to do that is totally fucking weird, is pulling long pubes on my balls and plucking them off. It is surprisingly easy to do so because of the loose ball skin. Don’t yank it out like a band-aid though or you’ll need a band-aid (Ha Ha.. I’m not funny)

Voila, you’re done. Get some aftershave on those freshly shaven balls to disinfect your nicks and make those meaty knockers smell like a man. Congratulations and I hope I was of some help!

Edit 1: Let't talk about asshole hair, (what a great conversation startfuriouslyjotsdown) that area can be shaved and it can look/feel good! But personally, I like to keep my Brown Eye of Sauron to myself. No traveller has dared venture down so I feel no need to shave.
Edit 2: One of my ball shaving colleagues has alerted me that the 'taint vein' is actually, "[A] scar, from where the skin fuses before birth and is called the perineal raphe." (Google it for some nice visuals)

Thank you all for the great response! Being on the front page of sex is something all my future employers will be impressed by. I recently shaved and I seriously mistook my junk for King David's jewels (obviously he is miles bigger) and I thought I'd right down exactly what I did.”

2024.05.21 11:04 chefmonster OH MY GOD HE IS MARRIED.

TL;DR: Found out tonight that the guy I've been flirting with and made out with is married.
I've been building terrariums, including 2 new ones for tadpoles that are about to become frogs. So, I've become a regular at a local terrarium shop, and struck up a very flirtatious exchange with the owner. I asked him if he or any of his customers would be interested in getting frogs, because otherwise I'm going to release most of them where I got the tadpoles. We were flirting for a few weeks, and then he came over to check out my set-up and arrange the logistics for exchanging frogs. He was very physically affectionate and flirtatious. My partner was home, but he left us alone. I walked him out and we made out on the sidewalk for a good bit. It was hot and awesome. I was really excited about having a summer fling! Still flirting via text, still had plans this week to do terrarium frog stuff. I asked him if he wanted to meet for a drink after work tonight, and he said he plans but then changed them last minute and met me at a bar near my work.
He asked me about ENM, we talked about my relationship with my partner and how it worked. I told him about how I had been in a relationship that ended because the dude's partner didn't know about me, and how it devastated me and I was just finally getting over it.
And then disclosed that he was married, had been for 19 years, and had 6 kids.
Then told me that he had cheated on his wife a year and a half ago, and it broke her heart. But that he needed to tell me before we got together this week, because he knew he would not be able to control himself. That he wanted me and was trying to "not go down that road."
His wife is distant, and doesn't have a high sex drive. He said in 19 years, he'd kissed 3 women. His wife, the woman he cheated with, and me.
I told him he didn't need to worry about that, because the road was closed. I would not participate in anything that would hurt someone the way myself and the other woman was hurt. We discussed the chemistry we had and the immediate attraction. That it would, in fact, be very hot. I asked him where his wife thought he was. He said he needed to tell me before we met later this week, because he knew things would progress. He needed to be honest. I "jokingly" told him that if I'd found out he wasn't in an ENM marriage after we'd messed around, that I'd throw a rock through his shop window.
I could tell that he was trying to get me to relent, I told him we would just be frog friends. He kept saying that he was trying to not be tempted, and I told him that it didn't matter, because, again, I wouldn't participate. We only had one drink, and he tried to walk me to my car. As we were walking, he asked me if he could kiss me one last time. I said no, that integrity was doing the right thing when no one was watching. We hugged goodbye, and he was reluctant to let go. He tried to kiss my neck, and I pulled away.
All in all, it was a very positive event. We had a great conversation. I'm writing this partly because oh my goodness the gall, but also to confess that it was a very stubborn, conscious decision not indulge in something that would have been undeniably amazing. The attraction between us was immediate from the first time we met and the chemistry was atomic when we kissed. I mentioned at some point during our conversation that spending time together (outside of frogs, or alone) would be dangerous because the "forbidden" aspect makes everything that much hotter.
Because while I said all this to him, clearly stated my boundaries, completely adjusted my body language, there was part of me that was thinking "you're saying this because it's the right thing to do but it's dishonest let this guy ravage you."
Friends, I'm not asking for a pat on the back. I did the right thing but good lord was I tempted. I'm debating whether or not to even keep our plans to get together for frog related stuff. I don't think I'm a saint for standing my ground. I'm grateful that I was able to stick to my scruples, but I need y'all to brutally help me maintain my resolve.

2024.05.21 09:51 Brilliant_Year_6003 Whole Lotta Budgets and Clones

Timestamp and Videos: https://imgur.com/a/xVGPbDj

Boilerplate: Well, went on a bit of a spending spree and then have nowhere to put the new acquisitions, so both need to fill the coffers and make room in the case.
Mostly uninterested in trades (bought too much this week already) but a full Ti Chaves Chub Flipper or a We OAO might be considered. Maybe some weird Maxace stuff, although I have most of the ones I want.
Yolo beats any sort of chat haggling, etc. Please be over 18 and know your knife laws etc.
Shipping to lower 48 is included with Pirateship insurance. Payment is paypal f&f no notes, please. Can also do venmo or zelle.
1.) CLONE Vosteed RSKAOS SV30 TV30
Blurb: Not the most faithful representation but a cheap way to see if you like the blade shape: I will say this guy has steel handles instead of titanium, it’s kind of on the heavy side. Might be useful to keep in your car or in your pocket on a bike ride in case you need to have something heavy to throw at a mean car or something. Paid 40 plus Tax on Aliexpress, so save yourself 20 bucks and a four week wait.
Ownership: 1st Owner
Did I cut or carry or Sharpen: No
Disassembled? No
Snails Trails etc: Not a one.
Box etc?: Yes, have original box. And the nylon belt holster thingy.
2.) CLONE Glykon Dagger OTF SV30 TV30
Blurb: Faithful representation, the three switches are indeed one single molded piece like the original, but again with the steel handles. Although this guy isn’t as heavy as #1 it’s a bit heavier than you’d expect. Solid Blade, good switch just can’t really carry OTF’s and most us Retailers aren’t too happy about mailing them to my geography, but Ali sellers don’t seem to mind, just wanted to try some out I suppose. Paid 40 plus Tax on Aliexpress, so save yourself 20 bucks and a four week wait.
Ownership: 1st Owner
Did I cut or carry or Sharpen: No
Disassembled? Yes, to see how it ticks.
Snails Trails etc: Not a one.
Box etc?: Yes, have original box.

3.) CLONE Glykon Tanto OTF SV30 TV30
Blurb: Really Cool blade shape, and the three switches are indeed one single molded piece like the original, but again with the steel handles. Although this guy isn’t as heavy as #1 it’s a bit heavier than you’d expect. Solid Blade, good Action, only thing was that this guy came coated in like the worst blue coating. It got scratchy if you looked at it funny. So I put some elbow grease into using a scotch-brite pad to take off that coating but left it in the grooves and in the switch track etc. I think it looks 1000% cooler this way but it has been rather heavily modified. Paid 40 plus Tax on Aliexpress, so save yourself 20 bucks and a four week wait.
Ownership: 1st Owner
Did I cut or carry or Sharpen: No
Disassembled? Yes, and scrubbed off the obnoxious blue coating with scotch-brite pads.
Snails Trails etc: Looks pretty good.
Box etc?: Yes, have original box. And the nylon belt holster thingy.
4.) CLONE Heretic Manticore S Mini OTF SV30 TV30
Blurb: This dude is small but mighty. Cool tanto blade. Paid 40 plus Tax on Aliexpress, so save yourself 20 bucks and a four week wait.
Ownership: 1st Owner
Did I cut or carry or Sharpen: No
Disassembled? No
Snails Trails etc: Looks pretty good.
Box etc?: Yes, have original box. And the nylon belt holster thingy. And little screwdriver.
5.) Meton Boss Blue Patterned Anodized Titanium Scale for Hinderer XM-18 3.5 SV100 TV100
Blurb: Kind of timascus-looking titanium scale for a hinderer from meton boss. This thing retails for $199.99 and does have weight reduction milling on the inside. Save yourself 100 bucks and the fact that these are currently sold-out on meton boss’ web site.
Ownership: 2nd Owner
Did I cut, carry or sharpen: This did live on a hinderer for a minute and was carried by me but as soon as I got my hands on the oil slick zirc scale it’s been in the case.
Disassembled? It’s a single solid piece of metal, so no, but it has been on a knife.
Snails Trails etc: Not that I can see. Oils from your hand can dull titanium anodization so you have to give it a bath with dawn or windex every once in a while.
Box etc?: just came in a plastic bag with a piece of soft Styrofoam in it, which I have.

6.) Olight Oknife Parrot Micarta Handles Black Coated 154CM blade SV50 TV50
Blurb: This is the knife I used to teach myself front-flipping. And I highly recommend it in this regard. I can front flip all kinds of stuff now. These things are going for 79.95 on amazon. The micarta is soft and the blade is sharp. Save yourself 30 bucks.
Ownership: 1st owner
Did I cut, carry or sharpen: Just opened this one to take the pictures. (this isn’t the exact one I used to teach myself front flipping, that one is still here).
Disassembled? Nah
Snails Trails etc: Not that I can see.
Box etc?: Have box, pouch, coin, microfiber towel thing, maybe even an instruction manual? Everything that was in the box is still there.
7.) CLONE Rockstead Hizen SV40 TV40
Blurb: Well if you ever wanted to handle something that looks kinda like a rockstead to try it on for feels this is your guy. While it doesn’t have the famous convex grind it is a couple of nicely milled pieces of titanium and a rather nice-looking blade. Which they call “Japan AUS-10”. These are going for about 55 plus tax on Ali, I’ll save you 25 bucks and the four week wait.
Ownership: 1st owner
Did I cut, carry or sharpen: Just flipped it a few times.
Disassembled? Nah
Snails Trails etc: Not that I can see.
Box etc?: Have box.
8.) The Famous Beketen Relative CLONE SV100 TV100
Blurb: If you’ve spent any time on the Chinese knives Sub you’ve heard of this guy. It was one of those knives that did a few minor tweaks to the original to come up with something perhaps slightly better, like including both front and rear flipper in addition to the hole, and including a longer backspacer. Someone had one tested and I think the verdict is generally that it is M390. Anyway, I have purchased four of these for the purposes of testing various surface mods like polishing and or burnishing and anodizing, and I just never got around to messing with this one, it’s still 100% stock. These are retailing on Ail for 113 but I’ll save you 20 bucks and the four week-wait.
Ownership: 1st owner
Did I cut, carry or sharpen: Just flipped it a few times.
Disassembled? Nah
Snails Trails etc: Not that I can see.
Box etc?: Have taco, don’t think this guy came with a box
9.) Sold Sold Sold The See-Through Trodon CLONE with Interceptor blade SV50 TV50
Blurb: Picked this up on the swap for 60, was fun to play with and the clear handle is a novelty. The interceptor blade is really dope. I don’t know where this guy came from originally, I can’t find anything like it. Won’t be too bummed if this guy doesn’t sell but again, I can’t really carry these in my Geography.
Ownership: 2nd owner.
Did I cut, carry or sharpen: Just actuated it a few times.
Disassembled? Nah
Snails Trails etc: Not that I can see.
Box etc?: I didn’t get any of that with this guy, I’ll put it in a taco.
10.) Lansky 5- Stone Ceramic Knife Sharpener Kit. SV30 TV30
Blurb: These are retailing at amazon for 50, this system holds the angle of sharpening so that it’s uniform on both sides of the blade. I just have too much crap.
Ownership: 1st
Did I cut, carry or sharpen: This has sharpened a few knives.
Disassembled? Yes, and assembled.
Snails Trails etc: Not really.
Box etc?: Has it’s own special plastic box.
11.) CLONE Benchmade Bundle SV60 TV60
Blurb: I threw out the cheap washers that came with the Aluminum Radiation pattern bugout and replaced them with real phosphor bronze washers from USA Knife Maker. The 0.5 cm ones, not the oem .33 cm ones. As a result, the action on this guy is just glassy. At least as good as my OEM bugouts. The narrows I’m throwing in at substantial discount. This is the OK knives version, so it’s not the one that totally sucks, probably titanium scales even (they weren’t magnetic). The real score here is that you’re getting a bugout that definitely has that smooth glossy action which can be hard to find on even an OEM bugout sometimes. Still saving you at least 25 bucks over what I paid for these and no-four-week-wait.
Ownership: 1st
Did I cut, carry or sharpen: None of those things no.
Disassembled? Yes, and replaced washers on the bugout. Haven’t disassembled the narrows.
Snails Trails etc: Nope.
Box etc?: I’ll put them in a taco. Don’t think I have a box for these, but I’ll look again.
11.) Twosun TS341 Sidewinder SV55 TV55
Blurb: Sweet little knife. Factory Entropic Ano and texture on the titanium handles. Picked this guy up on the swap for 75, saving you 20 bucks and the long shipping times. The original seller’s pictures are still up on imjur: https://imgur.com/a/noxmdfo Also has some carbon fiber inlays D2 Steel.
Ownership: 2nd
Did I cut, carry or sharpen: None of those things no.
Disassembled? no
Snails Trails etc: Nope.
Box etc?: Yes.
Can’t believe I’m done writing now. Woof. That was a lot. Hope y ’all enjoy these knives. I tried to make the prices as bro-ey as possible. Of course shoot your shot if you think I’m off base. Take 5 off if you buy 2, 10 off for three, etc.

2024.05.21 09:50 Gaswden Tech market brings important development opportunities, AIGC is firmly top 1 in the current technology field

The year of 2023 has been a unique year for AI which occured countless product launches, power changes within the company, and the race to launch the next major AIGC innovation.
Currently, OpenAI’s ChatGPT has been huge success, prompting each major technology company to release its own version. Large technology companies have fully invested in the development of generative AI, and various AI models have emerged, such as Meta LLaMA 2, Google’s Bard chatbot and Gemini
In addition, generative AI allows artificial intelligence technology to develop, bringing a historical turning point in the large-scale adoption of machine learning. The new round of technological revolution initiated by generative AI is far beyond the imagination of ordinary people today, which means that a huge historical opportunity is coming.
From an application point of view, various applications derived from generative AI are gradually trying to land in various industries, including art generation, text generation, music generation, and more complex tasks, such as video generation and virtual reality environment generation. Generative AI-based knowledge base search, text summary, content, or code creation takes productivity to a new stage.
Generative artificial intelligence (AIGC) is firmly top 1 in the current technology field, and AIGC represents a new trend of AI technology development. In the past, traditional AI favored analytical capabilities, but now AI is generating new content, making a leap from perceptual understanding of the world to creating the world. With a blade length of 3 inches and overall length of 7.78 inches, it's thin, flat, and lightweight at just over 3 ounces including the sheath. The star feature of this knife is the double ring handle, which allows you to use it with either a forward or reverse grip, and prevents your hand from sliding forward on the blade.
The Japanese Aus 8A stainless steel makes it durable and easy to maintain. The Secure-Ex Neck Sheath provides a secure and easy-to-use carry option.
However, the sheath might need some adjustments to ensure a perfect fit for some users. Overall, the Cold Steel Double Agent II is a great choice for self-defense and urban carry, offering a high level of functionality and portability for its price.

One day, I found myself in a situation where I needed a reliable and sturdy knife. After a quick research, I stumbled upon the Cold Steel Chaos, a double-edge fixed blade inspired by the classic trench knives from both World Wars. This knife was designed for modern-day warriors, offering both security and comfort while holding it.
Upon holding the knife, the unique D-ring guard made of reinforced 6061 aluminum caught my attention. It allowed me to grip the knife securely, while also protecting my hand from incoming attacks and damage. The 1055 carbon steel pommel was tapered for punyo or butt-strikes, making it perfect to defend myself in a life-threatening scenario.
The 7.5-inch SK-5 high carbon blade was available in either double-edge or tanto blade shapes. I opted for the double-edge, as I believed it would provide a more efficient cutting and striking experience. The black Tuff-Ex coating on the blade enhanced corrosion resistance and improved cutting power by reducing friction.
The handle, made of 6061 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, felt solid and secure in my hand. It accommodated a wide range of hand sizes, including mine with average-sized hands. The knife came with a tough Secure-Ex sheath, equipped with a belt loop for dependable and versatile carry.
My experience with the Cold Steel Chaos double-edge blade was nothing short of impressive. It offered a perfect balance between form and function in a sleek design. Although it was a bit heavy compared to other knives, its weight contributed to its strength and effectiveness. The knife was sharp, sturdy, and ready for action at all times, making it an excellent addition to my daily life and adventures.

I've been using the Cold Steel Peace Maker II for a few weeks now, and I must say, it's a game-changer. The knife is incredibly lightweight, making it perfect for daily carry. I've been using it for a variety of tasks, from opening boxes to trimming small branches, and it's handled every job with ease.
One of the standout features is the Scandi ground blade, which is incredibly easy to resharpen. The unique compound ground clip point provides a stiff distal tapered point capable of piercing thick targets without compromising precious cutting power.
The ergonomic handle design is another plus, with a thin, rectangular shape and subtle contouring. The palm swell and double quillon guard offer both comfort and protection. The knife also comes with a secure-ex sheath, which is cut and stab-resistant and impervious to the elements. The sheath attachment is sturdy and won't come loose, even during strenuous activities.
However, the blade does require frequent sharpening due to its soft steel composition. But considering the product's affordability, it's a small price to pay for the versatility and convenience it offers. The Peace Maker II is a reliable, multifunctional knife that's perfect for those who need a reliable and versatile cutting tool.

As a reviewer who has tried the Cold Steel Master Hunter, I can confidently say that it has become my go-to knife for various outdoor activities. One of the features that stood out to me was the comfortable, deeply checkered Kraton grip, which allows for long-term use without any discomfort. The broad, thin blade with a distinct taper provides exceptional cutting ability, edge retention, and ease of resharpening.
However, one of the cons I encountered was the knife's tendency to be easily lost due to its minimalistic design. I also noticed that the blade occasionally required additional sharpening, despite its excellent edge retention. Nevertheless, the overall performance and durability of the Master Hunter make it a reliable and versatile tool for all your hunting needs.

However, the Tanto Spike is not without its drawbacks. Its size may be a bit too much for some, making it an awkward choice for those who prefer a more compact option. The sheath also deserves some attention, as it may require some adjustments to ensure a snug fit when attached to your belt.

I recently tried the Cold Steel Recon Tanto SK-5, and I must say, I was truly impressed by this knife. The blade material, SK-5 carbon stainless steel, provided a smooth cut and the razor-sharp edge was exceptional. The handle, made of Kraton, was both comfortable and grippy in my hand.
One of the standout features of this knife was its balance. It felt well-proportioned and easy to maneuver, making it a great choice for various tasks, from camping to self-defense. The blade thickness of 5mm added an extra layer of confidence when performing deeper cuts.
While the blade material is rust-resistant, the black Tuff-Ex finish on the blade did scratch off quite easily. However, this did not affect the knife's performance or durability. The weight of the knife, at 250 grams, made it a suitable everyday carry, providing a mix of portability and power.
Overall, the Cold Steel Recon Tanto SK-5 is a high-quality knife with a durable design and a smooth, sharp edge. It's an excellent choice for those seeking a reliable and versatile fixed blade for their everyday needs or even the most challenging outdoor situations.

🔗Dependable Tanto SAS Knife with Polypropylene Handle

The Cold Steel GI Tanto 80PGTK is a versatile, well-rounded tactical knife that has become a staple for many outdoor enthusiasts and survivalists. Its broad blade and integrated guard design provide a solid grip, while the Polypropylene handle scales offer a comfortable and durable hold.
I've had the pleasure of using this knife in various situations, from camping trips to survival drills, and it has never let me down. The 1055 carbon steel ensures a strong, rugged construction that holds up well against rust and harsh conditions. The spring-tempered steel provides an excellent balance between strength and flexibility, allowing the blade to withstand the most demanding tasks without compromising its performance.
One of the standout features of the GI Tanto is its versatility - it can be easily converted into a spear in a pinch, simply by removing the handle scales and attaching the blade to a suitable wooden shaft. This adaptability makes it an invaluable addition to any survival kit or bug-out bag.
However, no product is without its drawbacks, and the GI Tanto is no exception. While its sturdy construction ensures a long lifespan, handling it for extended periods can be tiring due to its substantial weight. Additionally, the knife's size makes it less practical for everyday carry or more discreet situations.
Price-wise, the GI Tanto is a steal, offering a fantastic value for its quality and features. It's affordable enough to stock up on multiple copies for personal use or as gifts for friends and family.
In summary, the Cold Steel GI Tanto 80PGTK is a robust, versatile, and dependable tactical knife that has earned its reputation among outdoor enthusiasts and survivalists alike. Its few drawbacks are outweighed by its numerous benefits, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a durable and versatile blade for their adventures.

🔗Classic Cold Steel Tanto Point Boot Knife

As someone who often finds themselves in need of a reliable blade for everyday use, I've had the pleasure of testing out the Cold Steel Kobun. This lightweight Tanto styled boot knife is definitely a handy addition to have on hand. I was instantly impressed by its sharp, reinforced point that contrasts with the thin blades commonly found in other boots knives.
One feature that stood out to me was the Kobun's deeply checkered Kraton handle. It offers an excellent grip, making the knife more secure in the hand. The cross section of the handle is also surprisingly thin, while still providing enough thickness to resist turning or shifting.
Another notable aspect of the Kobun is that it comes complete with a Secure-Ex sheath. This sturdy sheath makes it easy to attach the knife securely to your belt, ensuring that it remains easily accessible whenever you need it.
However, there was one downside that I discovered while using the Kobun. The default clip that was included with the knife was quite weak and didn't hold up well to everyday wear. I had to replace it with a Blade-Tech brand Tek-Lok belt attachment in order to ensure a more secure and reliable attachment to my belt.
Overall, the Cold Steel Kobun has been a reliable and versatile companion during my everyday activities. I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a durable and efficient boot knife for both personal and practical use.

🔗Compact Fixed Blade Knife with Black Handle

I recently got my hands on a Cold Steel SRK Compact fixed blade knife, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer for those seeking a reliable and stylish companion while on outdoor adventures. The knife features a compact handle & blade made of Kray-Ex & SK5, measuring in at just 12.5 cm (5 inches). Weighing only 145 grams, it's remarkably lightweight and effortless to carry around.
One thing that struck me is the sturdy Secure-Ex sheath it comes with – it's a fantastic addition! However, I did notice a few minor drawbacks. Firstly, the blade edges seemed a bit too uneven for my liking. Secondly, I'm not a big fan of the flex hanger option, but that's just personal preference.
Overall, I believe that the Cold Steel SRK Compact is a fantastic choice for outdoor enthusiasts. It's light, easy to carry, and offers great performance. Just make sure to sharpen it properly and maintain it well to enjoy its full potential.

I've been using the Cold Steel San MAI Recon Tanto as my daily pocket knife for the past few months, and I must say, it's a fantastic blade. The handle is made of Black Kray-Ex, providing a solid grip with no rolling or twisting in the hand, even under heavy use. The knife measures 11.75 inches overall, with a blade length of 17.9 cm, making it perfect for various tasks.
One of the most impressive features of this Tanto is its blade, made of VG-10 San Mai Stainless Steel. The deep lustrous satin finish on the hollow ground blade bevels and the contrasting line grain finish on the blade flats emphasize the knife's unique appearance. The blade is razor sharp, and I haven't needed much maintenance, even after some heavy use.
Although it's not a "do-it-all" knife, the Cold Steel San MAI Recon Tanto is a great medium-sized Tanto. It's been through some rough use, and I'm glad to say it held up well. The knife comes with a thick, high-quality Secure-Ex sheath that has given me years of hard service, keeping my Tanto at my side. Overall, I highly recommend the Cold Steel San MAI Recon Tanto for its cutting capability, durability, and affordable price.

🔗Affordable and Portable Secure-Ex Neck Sheath Knife

The Cold Steel 49NDE Hide Out is a versatile neck knife that I've been using daily for a while now and it has never failed to impress. One of the features that stood out to me is its lightweight design, weighing only 1.9oz. It's perfect for those who want a discreet yet effective self-defense tool. The blade is made of Japanese Aus 8A Stainless Steel, giving it an impressive edge sharpness and durability. The double-edged blade is Scandi ground, ensuring a strong and sharp tip, which is especially useful when you need it most.
The Hide Out's handle is made of Kray-Ex, a weather-proof material that provides a great grip and security, even when your hands are wet. It's thin and flat, designed to give me a superior purchase on such a small, lightweight knife. The Secure-Ex sheath and bead chain lanyard make it easy to wear and carry around all day, while the knife itself remains concealed.
However, there are a few drawbacks I've noticed. The AUS 8 steel can rust if not properly maintained, especially if you're using it as a neck knife. The blade scratches easily, making it less visually appealing over time. The bead chain necklace is quite stiff and can sometimes catch on clothes or other objects, making it slightly uncomfortable. Despite these minor issues, I've found the Cold Steel 49NDE Hide Out to be a reliable and effective neck knife that's perfect for those who need a reliable self-defense tool.

🔗Gentleman's Stockman Folding Knife for Everyday Use

This Cold Steel Gentleman's Stockman Folding Knife is more than just a handy tool, it's a statement piece that exudes a sense of style and sophistication. The mirror finish 8Cr13MoV stainless steel clip, sheepsfoot, and spey blades are perfect for every day use, while the yellow smooth bone handle adds a touch of luxury to its practicality.
One of the highlights of this knife is the nickel silver bolster, which not only makes it sturdy but also adds to its aesthetic appeal. The clam-packed packaging ensures its safe arrival, and the knife being made in Taiwan only adds to its allure.
Despite its seemingly perfect qualities, the knife does have a drawback - it's made in China. However, it doesn't affect the overall functionality and durability of the product. Overall, this Cold Steel Gentleman's Stockman Folding Knife is a must-have for anyone who appreciates both style and functionality.

🔗Compact and lightweight Cold Steel Peace Maker II knife

https://preview.redd.it/xj8lwlnncq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e249c1fe67193bb1863bf208c4d54581e5a78575
I've been using the Cold Steel Peace Maker II for a few weeks now, and I must say, it's a game-changer.

🔗Slim and Effective Steel Surveillance Knife for Self-Defense

https://preview.redd.it/jhdmk63ocq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6692d00709fcf58d89c3f785028e42e75e41e603
Recently, I've been trying out the Cold Steel Secret Edge 11SDT Knife, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer. This sleek little thing, perfect for self-defense, fits conveniently under any clothing, making it the ideal secret weapon (if you can keep it that way! ). It's so lightweight, you'll barely notice the half-pound heft, and the 4-inch blade is sharp as a tack – if you're not paying close attention, the edges might leave you astounded, your friends and family, that is.
Now, we all know that sharpness can sometimes come at a cost - durability. However, this knife's AUS 8A stainless steel blade seems to handle it all, remaining steady even after some of my more intense activities. The flat ground design does wonders against whatever material it clashes with.
The Secret Edge also includes a Secure-Ex sheath, a reliable retention system that's quick to access and deploy without compromising safety—perfect for those urgent moments. And it's equipped with a thin, flat faux G-10 handle, ergonomic enough to stay put in your hand while preventing any slippage or rolling. The three-hole design and aggressively textured surface ensure a grip like no other.
However, there are a few minor things that I've picked up on:
  1. The edge is only 3.5 inches long, despite the claim of a 3.5-inch blade length, which does diminish its cutting power.
  2. The product's description said it has no weight, but it actually weighs 3.2 ounces. It might seem negligible, but it makes a difference, especially over long periods of wear.
Overall, the Cold Steel Secret Edge 11SDT Knife has been a remarkable addition to my daily life. Its unassuming appearance, while still offering reliable functionality, makes it a top choice for those in need of a tactful self-defense tool.

🔗Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto: Sleek and Impervious Serrated Knife

https://preview.redd.it/q0z7aekocq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1a0adc626a69f21029917712018a6bb3e6306a0e
I remember the day I brought home my Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto. The sleek black design and the promise of a lightweight yet durable knife piqued my curiosity. It was a perfect addition to my collection of self-defense tools, for those moments when you need to protect yourself and your loved ones.
The handle, made of Kraton, felt great in my hand, with its solid grip that remained unaffected by temperature and moisture. It was a great contrast to the Grivory blade finish, which made the knife look even more menacing. I loved how the tanto point blade shape gave a perfect balance between sharpness and durability.
However, it wasn't all roses. The Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto felt a bit underwhelming when it came to cutting tasks. Its plastic blade just didn't have the same edge retention as a traditional steel blade, making it not ideal for more demanding tasks like cutting through thick materials.
Still, for the price and as a lightweight and corrosion-resistant self-defense tool, the Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto has proven to be quite the handy piece. It's a unique addition to any collection, and it's been a great conversation starter among my friends and family.

🔗VG-1 San Mai 3 Stainless Steel Cold Steel Oss Hunting Knife with Kray-Ex Handle

https://preview.redd.it/75niiq0pcq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a66b55e3c9d7d46a4e4b326975ee66dcf3343eb9

🔗Highly Durable Cold Steel Bushman Knife for Survival Needs

https://preview.redd.it/6r4mzlbpcq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=432649a0b234b30ba33b4a1d5f0f2deec1891a54
Recently, I had the pleasure of using the Cold Steel Bushman Knife and let me tell you, my experience was quite an adventure. This knife, with its 7-inch blade made of SK-5 high carbon steel, proved to be a reliable companion on my outdoor excursions.
One of the standout features was its hollow handle, which was surprisingly versatile. I was able to store a few essentials inside, and with the right handle extensions, I could reach impressive lengths for certain tasks. The knife's unique construction allowed for a seamless blend of blade and handle, which gave it a solid, reliable feel.
However, there was one drawback to my experience: the sheath. While the Secure-Ex sheath featured a Ferrocerium Fire Steel, which was convenient for starting fires, it had a few issues. The locking mechanism was less than secure, making it prone to accidental release. It also lacked a left-handed option, which could be a dealbreaker for some users.
Despite these minor setbacks, the Cold Steel Bushman Knife proved to be a sturdy and practical tool for various outdoor activities. With its strong blade and adaptable handle, it was a reliable ally on my adventures. While the sheath could use some improvements, the knife itself more than made up for it.

Its lightweight construction and secure sheath make it a discreet and convenient carry option, ensuring you're prepared for any situation. While its diminutive size may fool some, never underestimate the capabilities of this impressive workhorse.

🔗SK-5 High Carbon Cold Steel - Chaos Double Edge Knife

https://preview.redd.it/dsxhqrg7bq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2c11baf5b98a6d4d1484fd61604b203ac40a7541
One day, I found myself in a situation where I needed a reliable and sturdy knife.

🔗San MAI Recon Tanto Sas Knife - High-Quality VG-10 Stainless Steel Blade with Kray-Ex Handle

https://preview.redd.it/f4qqtn08bq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f93c83150eccc01fc361e212cb80f748bdb5a332
I've been using the Cold Steel San MAI Recon Tanto as my daily pocket knife for the past few months, and I must say, it's a fantastic blade.
🔗Perfectly Designed Counter TAC Boot Knife for Ultimate Functionality

While the world of boot knives can be crowded, Cold Steel's Counter TAC I outshines its competitors. Its sharp, AUS 8A full-tang blade is a testament to top-notch quality, but one standout feature that really caught my attention is the vacuum heat treatment and sub-zero quenching for added strength and durability.
Designed with the philosophy of functionality at heart, its compact construction feels just as comfortable in tight boots as on a belt or holster. The handle, finished in a sleek black, fits comfortably in the hand and provides a firm grip in even the most high-pressure situations.
With the Counter TAC I, there's no compromise on utility. Its purpose-built design ensures that it's as adaptable as it is versatile, allowing both pros and novices to appreciate its efficiency in a range of situations.
However, no product is perfect, and this one isn't an exception either. While the knife excels at what it does, one could argue that its performance comes at the cost of a slightly heavier handle. Nevertheless, given its exceptional capabilities, it's a small price to pay.
Despite a few minor drawbacks, the Counter TAC I by Cold Steel is a robust, reliable, and highly functional boot knife that's well worth its investment. With a wide array of features that have garnered praise from users, this knife makes a compelling contender in the boot knives category.

🔗Cold Steel Oss Scimitar Knife for Commercial Uses

The Cold Steel Commercial Series Scimitar Knife has truly become an indispensable addition to my daily life, thanks to its remarkable design and unmatched quality. This Taiwanese-made knife is perfect for all sorts of tasks, from hunting and fishing to commercial kitchens and butcher shops. The 10-inch blade, made from premium cryo-quenched German 4116 Steel, is incredibly sharp and re-sharpenable.

🔗Cold Steel Recon Hawk - Versatile Outdoor Survival Tool

I recently got my hands on the Cold Steel Recon Hawk, and let me tell you, it's a beauty! This tomahawk boasts a 5mm thick leaf made of 65 m carbon steel, giving it a robust and sturdy feel. The 24 oz weight distribution adds a perfect balance that makes throwing it a breeze.
Its 17 1/2 inch length comes with a comfortable 9 1/2 inch nylon wrapping handle, making it easy to grip and wield. The single-piece design, crafted by custom knifemaker Andrew Demko, ensures durability and strength. The axe also comes with a detachable articulated sheath that offers protection from the sharp edge.
While I really like the balance and durability of this Cold Steel Recon Hawk, I've noticed that the hollow ground edge can be a bit fragile. It doesn't stick as well as some other throwing tomahawks. However, the balance and heft make up for it, and the axe is great for survival, escape and evasion scenarios or just a day of outdoor fun. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, well-balanced tomahawk.

The Cold Steel 3V Master Hunter, with its stone wash finish (36CB), is a fantastic upgrade to the classic design. With an extra broad American CPM3-V High Carbon Steel blade that can hold a razor-sharp edge, this knife definitely stands out in the crowd. It's not just sharp - it's also incredibly durable, handling tasks from cutting power cords to field dressing large game with ease. Its comfortable Kray-Ex handle provides a non-slip grip, even in wet or sticky conditions.
However, there are a couple of drawbacks. The Secure-Ex case, while functional, might not be the most durable option. Additionally, it's worth considering an alternative sheath, such as leather or Kydex, to prevent dulling the edge or damage to the knife. Nonetheless, the Cold Steel 3V Master Hunter (36CB) still delivers a satisfying hunting and camping experience, making it a top choice for those who appreciate a versatile and reliable tool in the field.

I recently had the chance to put the Cold Steel Master Tanto 3V to the test, and I must say, it was quite the experience. This knife is a true gem, with a deep lustrous satin finish on the hollow ground blade bevels that really accentuates its unique appearance. The contrasting line grain finish on the blade flats sets it apart from other Tantos and highlights Cold Steel's state-of-the-art grinding methods.
In terms of usability, the flattened oval Kraton handle provides a solid grip, and it won't roll or twist in your hand even under intense use. Kraton is a fantastic space-age material that won't crack or rot, and it's immune to the effects of bad weather. This means that you can take your Master Tanto 3V on all sorts of adventures without worrying about its durability or its ability to stand up to the elements.
The 6" Tanto blade has a thickness of 0.188", which is perfect for a wide range of tasks. It's a versatile knife that can handle everything from slicing through meat to cutting your way through the wilderness. And with an overall length of 11.5", it's the ideal size for everyday carry or for bringing along on your camping trips.
Overall, the Cold Steel Master Tanto 3V is a fantastic knife that's well worth the investment. Its high-quality materials, unique appearance, and reliability make it a standout choice for anyone in the market for a new Tanto blade.

This classic sub-hilt knife, with a 4.5-inch VG-10 San MAI clip point blade, offers incredible reach and penetration. The black G-10 handle provides a perfect balance, allowing for easy blade movement.
The knife's overall length of 13.25 inches and satin finish make it a beautiful addition to any collection. The sheath is secure but may dull the blade over time.

🔗Cold Steel CS88BK-BRK Katana Warrior Series: Tactical Japanese Sword

https://preview.redd.it/s7nsojjbbq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2ef58b1455c46023880979108ddc48a01bf486d0

Living in an era where technology and practicality reign supreme, I was surprised to come across the Katana Warrior Series, an authentic and beautifully crafted replica of a traditional Japanese sword. This Tactical Katana, made from high carbon steel with a thickness of almost 1/4 of an inch, is truly reminiscent of the intricately designed blades that have been passed down through the ages.
What stood out from my experience with the product was not only its superb quality, but its impressive overall length of forty inches. This means that it can be not only an imposing decorative piece in any living space, but also a convenient accessory for various reenactments such as historical events or cosplay events, where the realism matters a lot.
However, the only drawback I can think of is its manufacturing location - the U. S. may be the preferred and trusted location for crafting such traditional items, but its manufacturing in China could pose potential doubts about its authentic craftsmanship. Other than that, the Katana Warrior Series is a truly valuable buy that gives a taste of the richness of Japanese culture without the hefty tag usually associated with genuine swords.

Buyer's Guide

Cold Steel Claymores have been a popular choice for collectors and re-enactors for many years. These swords, inspired by the legendary Scottish weapon, offer a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern materials. If you're considering purchasing a Cold Steel Claymore, here are some essential features to consider and tips for making an informed decision.

Materials

https://preview.redd.it/g6vj5j0cbq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9fb58d1e811f1872b4b9589e2852810fc22685f1
One of the main factors to consider when selecting a Cold Steel Claymore is the materials it's made from. Most of these swords are constructed with high-carbon steel, which provides durability and edge retention. However, some may contain other materials, such as brass or copper, to enhance their appearance and add a touch of authenticity.

Handle

The handle of a Cold Steel Claymore is another important consideration. Traditional claymores have a wooden grip, often enhanced with brass or other decorative materials. Consider the size and shape of the handle, as well as any additional features like grips or pommels, based on your personal preferences and intended use for the sword.

Length

Cold Steel Claymores come in various lengths, which can affect the sword's balance and maneuverability. Generally, longer swords provide more reach, while shorter swords are easier to handle in tight spaces. Consider the intended use and your personal preferences when selecting the appropriate length for your Claymore.

Weight

Weight is another crucial factor to consider when purchasing a Cold Steel Claymore. These swords can be quite heavy, which may impact their ease of use and portability. Consider your physical abilities and intended use when selecting a Claymore with the right weight for you.

Authenticity

If you're looking for an accurate representation of a historical Claymore, consider the authenticity of the sword you're considering. Some Cold Steel Claymores are designed to replicate specific historical models or patterns, while others may have more modern features. Research the history and characteristics of the Claymore you're interested in to ensure the one you purchase accurately reflects its heritage.

Maintenance

Like any sword, a Cold Steel Claymore will require regular maintenance to keep it in good working condition. Familiarize yourself with proper cleaning and storage techniques to ensure the longevity of your Claymore and its edge.

Budget

Finally, be mindful of your budget when shopping for a Cold Steel Claymore. While quality materials and craftsmanship can be costly, there are also affordable options available. Determine what features and level of authenticity are most important to you, and find a Cold Steel Claymore that fits both your preferences and budget.

2024.05.21 08:47 JohanGri12 Thoughts on Shogo Makishima (LONG)

Thoughts on shogo makishima
“The game of life”
Makishima is stated to have genius level intellect, charismatic, and physically fit. He’s even managed to inspire a movement, coerce others into committing crimes. Yet, despite being a leader he has no ambition to look on high at everyone else. He wants to live through life as the player rather than the one who makes the rules and has control of the game. Playing the game is what keeps his mind and body involved. When he plays the game of life, his choices for better or worse hold weight. Similar to reading books or Martial arts, what he does is what affirms his existence. From that perspective, playing the game keeps him from feeling ignored by the world (or at least In Japan) which brings me to my next point.
“Loneliness”
Not recognized by society since sibyl is is control in how , not recognized due to his views against the system, and not recognized due to a personality that can take an interest in humans, but not really care about them. There maybe an argument to be made that makishima only does this as a means of lashing out towards his isolation. However, we have to consider that with Sybil’s ability to “read” someone, they can can weed out individuals who antagonize them, which is what happened with masaoka. Not to mention, he tends to be a social critic. Not to mention, rather rather than focus on kogami, he still chooses the destruction of the Sybil. He used his loneliness as fuel to further to antagonize sybil, but loneliness isn’t his only motive.
“Man vs society”
As the tile describes man vs society describes the conflicts of an individual vs the the social norms and customs that are common in their life. With Sybil’s reach branching into various aspects of people’s lives, many citizens see only the benefits, but miss the glaring issues. The limit on self expression as seen through artwork, the will to take action of your own accord, the ability to recognize danger, the rewriting of history, etc. Makishima puts into question how our views, upbringing, and personality put our opinions on society into question. This can also be seen with characters such as kogami, ginoza, akane, kagari (to some extent), and masaoka.
“An ordinary man”
Contrary to his qualities, and the praise that he gets, he considers himself as an ordinary man, similar to Gu-sung Choe. Choe grew up in a country without the Sybil, so it is easy to see how he, like makishima, would be against the Sybil. Makishima believing things should be done in a simple way, or to keep things as they should without tampering with what comes natural to humanity, which bring me to my next point, and Makishima greatest motif.
“Free will”
Makishima embodies the idea of free will. The good, the bad, and the ugly. From his perspective, Sybil has taken something from humanity that shouldn’t have been stolen. Which becomes the basis for his antagonism towards Sybil. I’d have to wonder though. If Sybil’s rule has taken free will from the people, then would makishima be the same individual that he is now if Japan was ruled by our modern day governance ?
Nevertheless, one thing I thought was interesting about makishima was his insistence on free will, but also punishing those who would do the very thing that he speaks on. However, I’ve realized that when makishima gives characters the opportunity to act on their own desires, they weren’t able to realize that Sybil has failed to let them take life into their own hands, for better or worse. Furthermore, by being comfortable in their own desires or placing unshakeable faith in the Sybil, they would do nothing except just be a part of the problem in makishima’s eyes. I believe part of makishimas test was to find other like minded individuals that would antagonize Sybil along with him. (I believe this ties in makishima’s aspect of loneliness). To makishima, it’s not only about free will, it’s about what you choose to do with it that matters.
“Kogami”
Now, I’m at the greatest dynamic in the anime (so far at least). Makishima ability to avoid Sybil’s radar puts the first sign of contempt towards the Sybil. Makishima kills sasayama but is “blessed” by sybil so he avoids capture while enforcing his own will, even if it comes at someone’s expense. Kogami wanted Justice/Revenge for what happened and he was punished for trying to enforce his will. Kogami became aware that the Sybil promoted an idea of perfection, but wasn’t actually perfect. Prior to makishima and kogami meeting, makishima talks about how if someone were to throw a wrench in his plans would be somebody like him, someone who is able to enforce their own will without Sybil directing them. Kogami was even the one who caught to how or you’d painting are “unoriginal”, which made makishima take an interest in him. This was further enforced by his “test” on kogami, who made the decision to act without any external direction.
Once makishima is arrested, kogami sense of Justice compels him to chase makishima while deducing that Sybil refuses to judgement; therefore, he loses faith in the law as makishima continues to be “blessed” for committing criminal actions despite substantial proof against him showing his wrongdoings. His ambition to hunt down makishima has now put him at odds with the Sybil, and in a sense, society as well. These primal aspect of kogami is considered a by product of an era without Sybil”. As a result this isolated him, similar to how makishima is isolated. Once makishima’s was executed, thereby achieving the validation he had always wanted. Consequently, kogami now has to leave Japan due to choosing to enact his own ideal of Justice. Overall, an amazing dynamic.
“Akane”
Although their dynamic isn’t as strong as his dynamic with makishima, I do believe there is some good in it. In a sense, they are both “blessed” by Sybil. Akane growing up only seeing the good of Sybil through its comfort, security, and makishima predisposition only made him see the flaws of Sybil. When the time comes for makishima to tests akane, it puts akane’s faith in Sybil to test. She relied on Sybil to pass judgements, and that faith killed her friend.
When akane is given the opportunity to kill makishima, she refuses due to choosing the collective will of the people (the law) over her own personal wishes.
When akane learns the truth of how their god (Sybil) is a lie, she’s begins to realize the value of the free will that Makishima often preaches about throughout the series. Therefore, she’s resolves to work with Sybil, however on her own terms.
“Lucifer”
The comparison to Lucifer isn’t too strong but I think the similarities are present. While Lucifer’s ambition was to take the throne of god, makishima would rather destroy god. Makishima wanted to return a sense of individuality to society, for better or worse.
Makishima’s wants to start a rebellion gassing gods in order to return to a world where humanity would recognize a quality that’s inherent to them again for better or worse. He wants to assert his existence in society without being cast aside. In spite of his psychopathic tendencies, he wanted a world where he could forge connections with others in ways that the current world cannot. Lucifer also started a rebellion to reach the level of god. Lucifer’s rebellion came from dissatisfaction with the role god assigned for him. Lucifer desired to surpass the limitations that were put on to him. Furthermore, both lucifer and makishima antagonist led the environment that they were born into, and acted in violence as a result.
Both makishima and Lucifer get punished for their rebellion with makishima being gunned down as a result of his sins towards humanity and antagonism towards Sybil, but Lucifer gets cast down to the depths hell as a result of his rebellion Agassi god.
“Conclusion”
As he’s bleeding he does his last bit social commentary towards Sybil.
“Everyone is alone. Everyone is empty. People have no longer any need of others. You can always find a substitute for any talent. Any relationship can be replaced.” I believe in this part, makishima remarks on how Sybil’s existence has caused a divide between people due to existence of psycho passes and hue checks, especially in regards to potential criminals. No would want to associate with people who can potentially “damage” them the same way that the latent criminal were damaged. Leading to half hearted relationships. Job aptitude placement that become the only determinant on what who is qualified for what job makes it possible to always have a proper substitute for the workload.
“That's the world I grew tired of… And yet, for some reason... I can't even imagine someone else besides you killing me”
Makishima’s simply can not resonate with the current world of psycho pass, which is why he tested people, and tried to bring down Sybil even if it would take bio terrorism to do it. However, the existence of people like kogami, makes things different. He values kogami existence enough to want to die by his hands due to kogami being the “fallen”. Someone who can choose to kill without an external agent influence their decision.
As makishima desperatly tries to run for his life, he also seems elated. Whether he losing or winning he’ll keep playing the “game of life”. As the sunsets on shogo, I believe this symbolizes that his time in the game is over ( also shogo means sunset so I can’t be wrong lol).
(Also the soundtrack for his death was beautiful)
Prior to his death, he asks kogami if he will replace him. Kogami tells him that’s he hopes that won’t happen.
Although makishima never achieved his goal of destroying Sybil, he got what he wanted it. Someone who take advantage of their individualism, and kill using their own will. Giving makakishima both the acknowledgment, and embodying the free will that was regulated by Sybil.
With a smile of relief, and a Bang! Shogo Makishima is dead.
A fitting conclusion for a 9.5-10/10 character.

2024.05.21 07:28 Calebtapia67 Party Theme! 🎃

My wife and I need help brainstorming some possible themes for this upcoming spooky season.
A little context: Every year we throw a rather large party and invite around 60-70 people, who are all very big in our local theatre scene. Big guns come out with costumes and not a single person lacks in this department. We do custom prizes, contests, and events during the party so on the last 4 years, we have set a large standard.
Last year we outdid ourselves and the theme was Villaincon! A convention for villains across all genres, and we held it in a Comic Con fashion with panels, Q&As, ect. Other themes in the past have been Afterlife Afterparty, Monster Mash, and a Disney one (can't remember the name).
We are leaning towards Big Top Circus this year, but wanted to hear your thoughts!
TLDR; I need help coming up with Halloween party themes!

2024.05.21 07:21 KingKaihaku Let's make a big list of Fire Emblem "clone" games.

Let's make a big list of Fire Emblem
I was playing Partia on my phone when the thought occurred to me that I don't think I've ever seen anyone mention it. I feel like most Fire Emblem fans know about the Kaga games but may not know about other Fire Emblem influenced titles. Myself included.
Partia is a series of four Emblem-like mobile games
So I wanted to start off a discussion about Fire Emblem "clones" both to share the ones that I've enjoyed and to learn about others I've missed. I don't really like using the term "clone" - it feels dismissive of the creators - so I guess I'll go with the term Emblem-like going forward. I'll edit this list with recommendations that come up repeatedly in the comments.
To be clear, I'm not asking about SRPGs in general but rather games that clearly have Fire Emblem in their DNA. I already know about Unicorn Overlord, Langrisser, Shining Force, Front Mission, Tactics Ogre, and so on. I want to talk about Emblem-likes and, especially, learn about ones that I've missed.
Vestaria I and II have official English language releases on Steam.
  • Tear Ring/Berwick/Vestaria Sagas: I think these are the best known Emblem-likes. Shouzou Kaga was the creator of the Fire Emblem series and worked on the series up until Thracia 776. His Saga titles strongly resemble classic Fire Emblem and probably the best regarded Emblem-likes. Tear Ring and Berwick Sagas have received English fan translations. Vestaria I and II have official English language releases on Steam.
  • SRPG Studio: I haven't followed this one closely but my understanding is that SRPG Studio is, effectively, Fire Emblem Maker. Reviews are that it's great if you want to make a classic Emblem-like but limited for creating other kinds of SRPGs. Shining Force, yes, Ogre Battle, not so much. I haven't heard of any SRPG Studio creations that are worth playing but I'm sure they're out there - so let me know and I'll check them out/add them to the list.
Dark Deity evokes Blazing Blade and Sacred Stones
  • Dark Deity: I've almost bought this game about six times (I probably will eventually) but lukewarm reviews keep on turning me off just before I clicked purchase. Dark Deity clearly evokes the GBA-era Fire Emblem titles. It's broad class system/customization and map design is widely praised, but overreliance on RNG, weak characters, stereotypical plot, and poor writing are common criticisms from reviews I've read. Hopefully someone who has played it can comment on Dark Deity in more depth (maybe convince me to pick it up or justify my decision to pass).
  • Partia: This is a series of four Emblem-likes from a solo dev on iOS and Android. The games resemble classic Fire Emblem, going back to the NES and SNES games, but have some unique elements. The interface isn't optimized for touch and really holds the games back but I was impressed by the scenarios, narratives, and writing.
Redemption Reapers is a darker take on early NGC/Wii Fire Emblem titles.
  • Redemption Reapers: This is an Emblem-like from Masayuki Horikawa, who worked on the Fire Emblem series from Thracia 776 to Fates. It's most similar to Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, but much darker and more brutal. There are only five main characters so it's more of a squad based experience than other Fire Emblem titles. I've been meaning to pick this one up but haven't gotten to it yet. It has mixed reviews. The most common positive is that it has challenging gameplay and the most common negative is directed at the main characters; claiming that they are archetypes more than characters and don't have great chemistry together. I still plan to get it but would love to hear more (positive or negative) from someone who has played it.
So that's the start of our list. Do you have any comments about the Emblem-likes I included here? What Emblem-likes am I missing?

As a freelance writer, I often find myself moving from one coffee shop to another, sketchpad in hand. A solid clipboard is essential for any mobile artist like me, and I recently stumbled upon Sooez's Clipboard with Storage. The ergonomic side-opening hinge and sturdy metal clip make it easy to securely hold my sketches without any warping. Plus, the spacious storage compartment keeps my pencils and sketchpens in one place - no more digging through my bag for the perfect shade of graphite!
The highlight of this clipboard is its durability. Made from high-quality polypropylene, it wipes clean easily, preventing any spread of bacteria, which is crucial in today's world. Its sleek design also enables me to use it as a makeshift lap desk when I need to sketch on-the-go.
However, there's a downside to the design - the metal clip can be a bit stiff at times, making it challenging to insert or remove pages. Nonetheless, this minor inconvenience is outweighed by the benefits this clipboard offers.
All in all, Sooez's Clipboard with Storage has become an indispensable tool in my writer's arsenal. Its storage compartments, durability, and sleek design make it perfect for anyone who needs a reliable clipboard to keep all their essentials organized. So, if you're in the market for a stylish and functional clipboard, look no further than Sooez's offering!

As a dedicated product reviewer, I have recently been using the Universal 1/2 in. Capacity 8-1/2 in. x 11 in. Storage Clipboard with Pen Compartment in my daily life, and I can't recommend it enough. This clipboard comes with an ample storage box, allowing me to keep my documents and forms safe and secure, even when I'm on-the-go.
One of my favorite features of this clipboard is the separate smaller compartment that holds pens, clips, and other small items. It's such a convenient addition that has made my life so much easier. The corner grips also deserve a mention, as they help prevent snags and tears, ensuring that my documents stay in mint condition.
However, I must admit that one aspect of the clipboard that took some getting used to was its opening mechanism. While it does take a little more effort to open compared to other models, it's definitely not a deal-breaker.
In summary, this storage clipboard has made a significant difference in keeping my documents organized and secure. Its unique design and useful features make it the perfect companion for both office and personal use. While some users may find the opening mechanism slightly challenging, the benefits of this versatile and sturdy clipboard far outweigh any minor drawbacks.

🔗Clipbox Paper Clipboard Box for Recipe Storage and Paperwork Organization

As a dedicated home cook, I've tried multiple ways of organizing my cherished collection of recipes, ranging from old-school recipe card boxes to bulky recipe binders. However, none of them could beat the efficiency and elegance of the Multikeep Clipbox Wood Clipboard Box. This nifty product has not only become a game-changer in my recipe storage but also a perfect way to organize an array of documents, from medical records to bills.
The solid hardwood bamboo exterior not only makes it a sturdy holder but also adds a touch of style to any shelf, making it a beautiful addition to my kitchen or home office. The built-in clipboard on the lid is another excellent addition that allows me to quickly jot down notes or clip important documents right onto the box. The metal label holder on the side is an absolute bonus, enabling me to label and categorize my content easily.
One drawback I found was the size. While it comfortably holds up to 75 sheets of standard size paper, it may be a bit too small for those who need to store larger documents. However, given its other brilliant features, I can easily overlook this minor flaw.
In conclusion, the Multikeep Clipbox Wood Clipboard Box has not only revolutionized my recipe storage but also greatly helped in decluttering my workspace. Its stylish design, coupled with its excellent organization capabilities, makes it a worthy addition to any home.

I recently started using the Vaultz Locking Storage Clipboard in my daily life, and I have to say, it has made a significant difference in the way I organize and protect my documents. The high tension clip on the front ensures that my papers remain secure at all times, while the combination lock provides key-less convenience for added security.
I particularly love the roomy internal storage compartment, which comfortably holds all my important documents within. The shoulder strap included with the clipboard has been a game-changer for me, allowing me to carry it around effortlessly throughout the day. Additionally, the key-hole on the back serves as a convenient wall mount for when I need to store it away.
However, there are a couple of areas where I feel the clipboard could use some improvement. Firstly, the combination lock, although providing a sense of security, feels slightly cheap and could potentially be more durable. Secondly, the dimensions of the product do not make it an ideal choice for people who prefer compact accessories.
Overall, I am quite satisfied with the Vaultz Locking Storage Clipboard. Its user-friendly design and various features make it an effective tool for organizing and protecting my documents, providing me with the peace of mind I need in my daily life.

Whether you're using it at school or on the job, this clipboard is sure to make your life easier. And the best part? It's made in the USA, ensuring high quality and craftsmanship.
In terms of drawbacks, the SlimCase 2 Storage Clipboard doesn't have a double compartment for more storage. However, for most people, the single compartment should be sufficient for their needs. Overall, this clipboard has been an incredible addition to my daily life, and I would highly recommend it to anyone in search of a reliable and efficient organizational tool.

🔗Locking Storage Clipboard for Paperwork on the Go

I recently got my hands on the Vaultz Locking Storage Clipboard and I must say, it has become an essential part of my daily life. As someone who's always on the go, I often found myself struggling to keep all my important documents and tools organized. But with this clipboard, everything has a place now.
The first thing that caught my eye was its sleek design. The slim profile and sturdy construction make it not only stylish but also incredibly durable. And did I mention how lightweight it is? Despite its robust build, it's surprisingly light, making it comfortable to carry around all day.
One of the features that stand out the most for me is the interior mesh pockets. They're perfect for storing items like my phone, business cards, and even some loose papers. I also like the document belt inside, which ensures that my paperwork stays securely in place while I'm using the clipboard.
The only downside I experienced so far is the somewhat slick surface of the clipboard. It can be a bit challenging to write on, especially when you need to create pressure copies from standard forms. However, this issue can easily be resolved by placing a piece of cardboard beneath the paper you're writing on.
Another highlight worth mentioning is the built-in keyhole grommet on the back. It allows me to hang the clipboard on a wall or door, freeing up valuable desk space. Plus, the sturdy keylock keeps all my contents safe and secure whenever I need to step away.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the Vaultz Locking Storage Clipboard. Its combination of practicality, durability, and style makes it stand out from other clipboards on the market. If you're someone who values organization and efficiency, I would highly recommend giving this product a try.

🔗Dual Tray Clipboard Box with Pen Holder

I've been using the Posse Box Pb-37C bottom opening clipboard box in my daily work routine as a law enforcement officer, and I must say, this nifty little contraption has really made a difference in keeping me organized. The dual compartments are a game-changer; one side for completed forms and papers, the other for storing extra citations and sheets. It also has an internal tray where I can securely keep pens, pencils, and other small items. Its non-skid base ensures that it stays put even on slick surfaces.
One of the best parts about this clipboard box? Its size. At 14" long and 9" wide, it fits perfectly on my desk and doesn't take up too much space. Plus, with a weight capacity of 1.5 pounds, it can handle just about anything I throw at it.
However, there's one minor downside that I've noticed while using this product. The latch could be slightly more durable. It tends to wear out over time, especially if you’re frequently opening and closing the box. But overall, for a tool designed specifically for law enforcement, the Posse Box Pb-37C is hard to beat when it comes to organization and convenience.

🔗Three-Tier Aluminum Clipboard with Paper Storage

https://preview.redd.it/hb4lmomckp1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3fb08369b4efefeb982e3f1b16b4b1b243a4aea6
I recently got my hands on this stylish aluminum clipboard with a three-tier storage system, and I must say, it has been a game-changer for my on-the-go lifestyle. The first thing that struck me was its lightweight and sturdy design, which instantly made me feel confident about taking it to my outdoors meetings without worrying about any potential damage.
One of the highlights of this clipboard is its interior storage compartments. I can now efficiently organize all my important documents in one place, which has significantly improved my productivity since I don't have to spend time searching for them. Plus, the self-closing latch ensures that my papers stay in place whether I'm walking or sitting.
However, I did face a minor issue with the aluminum surface. It tends to get a little cold during winters, making it a bit uncomfortable to write on for extended periods. But hey, it's still worth it considering all the benefits it offers.
Overall, this metal clipboard with a three-tier storage system has made my life easier and more organized. If you're someone who needs a reliable and efficient way to manage your paperwork, I highly recommend giving this one a shot.

🔗Aluminum Storage Clipboard - Classic Style

Effortless Organization with The Clipboard Shop Aluminum Memo Storage Clipboard"
I can't express how satisfying it was to discover The Clipboard Shop's Aluminum Memo Storage Clipboard in black. The sleek aluminum design elevates the simple clipboard to a stylish office accessory. I appreciate how lightweight it is, making it easy to carry around and clip in essential papers on the go, be it for work or personal use.
The standout feature for me, however, has to be the spacious interior storage compartment. It's a game-changer for my constant juggling of important yet small papers. Now, instead of having them scatter around, they're safely tucked away in this compact but efficient clipboard. Plus, it holds full-sized papers, a significant pro compared to other clipboards I've used in the past!
There's really only one disadvantage I've noticed so far, and that's the somewhat flimsy build. While it's more durable than traditional paper clipboards, it's not as robust as it could be. This is a small con, however, given how much I absolutely love everything else about this clipboard.
The Clipboard Shop's Aluminum Memo Storage Clipboard has truly improved the way I organize and handle documents. Its combination of lightweight design and spacious storage compartment make it the perfect companion for anyone who frequently handles paperwork, be it at work or home.

I've been using this cute clipboard folio for a few weeks now, and I absolutely love it. The Daisy Floral Green design is a refreshing change from the usual black or brown office supplies, and it feels equally at home in my creative studio as it does in the corporate office. The sturdy hardcover offers ample protection for all my papers and notes, while the removable lined notepad is perfect for organizing my thoughts on the go.
The interior pocket and pen loop are particularly handy for stashing important documents and keeping my pen within easy reach. Plus, the elastic band cover ensures everything stays securely in place, even when I'm on the move.
One downside to this folio is that it can be quite bulky, especially when filled with documents. However, the ample storage space more than makes up for its size. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this clipboard folio and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish and functional addition to their office supplies.

As someone who always needs a reliable clipboard on the go, I've been using the Sunnyclip Aluminum Clipboard with Storage for a few weeks now. With its sleek and sturdy design, it has quickly become a trusty companion for all my note-taking adventures. The size is perfect, fitting my memo-size paper sheets flawlessly, yet it's just not compatible with letter or A4 size paper, which may be a slight drawback.
What sets this clipboard apart from the rest is its durable, recycled aluminum construction. It's lightweight and easy to carry around, making it suitable for long days on the road or office. The added privacy cover is a thoughtful feature, keeping my important documents safe and confidential. Plus, the high-quality clip ensures that my papers stay in place, not even a gust of wind can make them fly away.
However, one thing I didn't quite enjoy was the lack of storage capacity. Though the built-in storage top opening provides a little space, I think it could benefit from a slightly larger slot to accommodate more papers or even small office supplies.
Overall, the Sunnyclip Aluminum Clipboard with Storage has quickly become a valued tool in my daily routine. Its lightweight and sturdy design, combined with the added privacy cover, makes it perfect for capturing notes on the go. While its storage capacity could be improved, it's a worthwhile investment for anyone in need of a reliable clipboard.

🔗Bottom Open Clipboard Box with Dual Tray Convenience

As a daily user of the Posse Box, one thing that stands out to me is its dual-tray convenience. I love how it provides two separate compartments to keep my important papers and forms well-organized. Plus, the non-skid base ensures that they stay in place even during those hectic days.
The size of 9" x 14" 1.5" is just right for my needs, fitting all my frequently accessed forms comfortably. And the sleek black vinyl gives it a professional look.
However, one thing that could be improved about this product is the quality of the material. It's not as sturdy as I would have liked, which can make it feel a bit flimsy at times. This issue isn't major but it's definitely worth mentioning.
Overall though, the Posse Box has been a reliable companion on my daily law enforcement duties, helping me stay organized and efficient. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a sleek and efficient way to keep their important papers and forms organized.

🔗Portable Office Clipboard Storage Case in Charcoal

As someone who loves staying organized, I can't exaggerate how this charcoal clipboard case from Office Depot has quickly become my go-to tool for work and school. It's not just about keeping my papers and forms intact, but also about having all my essentials like pens, business cards, and post-it notes right at my fingertips.
One of the features that truly impressed me was its three external filing compartments. Not only do they keep my pens and pencils sorted, but they also hold paper clips and other small office items, making them incredibly efficient and space-saving. Plus, the magnetic compartment? Absolutely brilliant! No more rattling of loose clips while I'm on the move—they stay securely in place.
The built-in filing pockets are equally impressive, providing a perfect place for CDs, more papers, or even a phone. To be honest, at first, I didn't think I would need the separate compartment for paper clips, considering how most of my stuff ended up in the external compartments. After using it though, I've come to appreciate how handy it is to have an item so small and commonplace readily accessible.
Another highlight is the ergonomic hand grips. They make holding the case very comfortable, especially during longer work sessions or meetings. Additionally, the hang hole is a thoughtful touch that allows me to store it easily when not in use.
While I love how sturdy and durable this case is—truly, it's been through a lot due to my clumsy nature and heavy use—there's one drawback I have to mention. If you're planning on using folders with this case, unfortunately, they won't fit. It's a minor inconvenience, but it doesn't detract from how useful and reliable this product continues to be.
All in all, this is hands down the best clipboard case I've used in a long time. Whether it's at work or school, this little wonder keeps all my documents organized and accessible, making it a valuable addition to anyone's productivity toolkit.

Surprisingly, despite its compact size, it's a great gift idea. I've gifted it to several of my nurse friends and they've all loved it. There's something really satisfying about presenting people with a tool that makes their lives easier.
However, it's worth mentioning that this clipboard doesn't come with any accessories. You'll need to purchase them separately. But then again, that's a small inconvenience for a tool that has made my nursing life so much easier.
In conclusion, if you're a nurse, teacher, or just someone looking for a practical tool to keep your essentials close, this nursing clipboard with storage is a game changer.

2024.05.21 05:42 Snoo-1331 Good story about a racist boomer getting told off by another boomer.

I’m telling this story 3rd party as I heard this from an old high school friend, this happened about a year ago.
So my friend, Amy. Works as a service writer at a Cadillac/GMC dealership in south Florida. So this boomer wealthy couple comes in to get some warranty work done to their new Caddy. At this dealership there is a window in the waiting area where customers can see their cars getting worked on.
So the lady sees their car being driven into the service bay and saw the mechanic get out of the car, a black man with long dreadlocks. So she goes to her husband and murmurs to him something. So they both go up to the where the service writers are and walks right past my friend Amy, who did their write up for them. And straight to the boomer service writer, who is also the supervisor of the service department. I guess they thought since he was a boomer himself that he would understand their concerns. This is how it went down
Racist boomer: Is that man qualified to work on my car??
Boomer worker: yeah, he is one of our most experienced and qualified guy we have, over 20 years.
Racist boomer wife: well, I paid a lot of money for that car and I worry that he is going to get it dirty and I have some valuable things in the car I don’t want to go “missing”.
Boomer worker: well ma’am I can help you with that, I will have him pull your car out the service area and give you your keys back and you won’t be welcomed back here.
And of course the boomer husband throws a fit, and goes on about how much he spent at this dealer and demands to see the dealer ownemanger.
So in walks in the man whose name is one the building, a well dressed boomer black man. And kindly tells the couple that they are no longer welcomed at this dealer anymore and that he does not tolerate racial discrimination against his employees. Hands them the keys and tell them have a good day.

2024.05.21 05:20 MichelTheVampyre Advice for doing Ironman/Permadeath runs in Unity

I started playing daggerfall roughl in the december of 2022, and I've played on occasion since. I'm no expert but I'm pretty capable of playing the game and surviving through some serious BS dungeons the game throws at me. I switched to unity last year and played a run as a (mostly) pacifist nord archaeologist and recently I've gotten back into the game and I've put together a modlist, mostly new quests, quality of life improvements, as well as the ironman options, mudex, and a starting dungeon randomizer. I'm really big on roleplaying/permadeath runs in other tes games (having done a few in oblivion and skyrim). I started on thursday of last week and I've gone through roughly 20 different characters in that time span. I do like to roll up random characters (I randomly generate race and gender and just kinda wing a custom class together from the basic warrior thief and mage archetypes)

I honestly have no idea how to get past the first two levels. I will on occasion spawn into a dungeon filled with daedroths and fire daedra, or perhaps an ungodly amount of ogres and knights. That's fine, I can usually sprint my way to the exit and to the nearest town. Then comes the problem of making enough coin to survive. If I get a dungeon quest, it might be one that takes me to a harpy nest, or another ruin filled with daedra. Possibly even an orc stronghold. I just have no idea how to make enough coin to keep myself afloat with repaired equipment and enough for inn stays and rations. Does anyone have advice for surviving long enough to where I'm not terrified of fighting rats in someone's house?

2024.05.21 05:18 ThisIsMyUsername341 Neighbor's Club and PLCC

I'm being endlessly pushed to get NC signups, among all the other stuff, too. I can try my absolute best to get someone interested in signing up, but if they say no, then that's how it is. I can't force anyone to sign up. I get tons of different reasons from the customers as to why they're not interested in NC or PLCC.
Neighbor's Club Reasons:
Reason #1: "It's not worth my time because I won't save on my purchase today"
Reason#2: "I'm in a hurry, maybe I'll do it another time"
Reason #3: "I don't have email"
Reason #4: "I don't want to give out my personal information"
Reason #5: "I already get too many emails, not interested"
Reason #6: "I just want to pay for my purchase"
Reason #7: pure silence
Reason #8: Another customer within earshot makes a negative comment about the membership...... and then the customer loses all interest
Reason #9: "I don't know my phone number"
Reason #10: Customer looks behind and sees two people waiting. "Don't worry about it, I'll just go ahead and pay".
PLCC Reasons:
Reason #1: "I don't deal with credit cards"
Reason #2: "I already have too many credit cards"
Reason #3: "Getting that card would get me in trouble"
Reason #4: "My credit score is too low"
Reason #5: "My credit is frozen, I just want to pay for my purchase"
Reason #6: "I just took out a loan/mortgage, I am not interested"
Reason #7: "I'm dealing with a lawsuit right now"
Reason #8: "Maybe next time"
I can't help it that I get infinitely bombarded with this endless rejection. I can't force people to sign up, I can only encourage and ask for it when I do my pitches. Despite such reality, corporate still has high expectations on a daily basis and throws a fit like a five year old because of the daily quota not being met. And as a result, the DM rips the management a new one on the conference calls and puts a ton of pressure on them about getting the numbers up.
It just pisses me off because I can't force people to sign up, yet they're expecting me to do just that. Corporate is being demanding and ruthless, instead of being reasonable and understanding.

2024.05.21 05:05 Wise_Individual_2814 Very scary situation

So as I'm walking the floor yesterday, two young guys hurrily scurry into the store. While I stand a distance away simply because I didn't feel safe, one of them aggressively says to me, "I need Benadryl. This all the allergy medicine you have?" To which I replied, "That's all we have until our next shipment." No thank you or nothing. So I walk away. Then one of the guys (the one who didn't ask me anything) at my register, though they were both there at the counter, wants me to scan them ASAP as if I work on his watch. Lol. I request ID because he looks under 40, and because the system prompts for it. He says to me, "I need to speed this up" while getting his ID out. He aggressively says, "My daughter in the car is having an allergic reaction." Other guy he was with takes medicine from my counter and he even tells the other guy to throw them to him, as if in a rush to get out the store in no time. I then notice one of the two allergy meds wasn't scanned. I call him back over, and he makes a smart remark cussing, accusing me of "hanging out and doing nothing." I kindly say in a low tone unlike them, "I have a job to do and company policy to follow," as I scan the item I couldn't scan at first because he took it too soon. I ID them, and the transaction is about done, but not before the other guy at the counter paying for it yells and cusses and calls me a "fn douchebag." I say nothing after that. I let them be on their merry way out the door and out the store. I throw their receipt out into the trash where TRASH belongs. I knew something was up with the both of them the minute they rushed into the store. I understand people may have unexpected emergencies. But don't treat me like dirt on the bottom of your shoes. Because I ain't it. You won't stop me from doing my job. You will only stop me from giving you my best customer service because you don't deserve it. Don't respect me, I will not respect you. I should've threw them both out too the minute they got combative and hostile with me.

2024.05.21 04:34 Wise_Individual_2814 Think you can intimidate me without coming at me correct? Think again

Yesterday two young white guys approached my register with one holding a case of beer. One of them opened his mouth when I said I need both of their IDs. He hated that. I said it's policy. He said, "Is it policy you wear that mask too?" I said, "Absolutely not. I choose to wear it." He looked at my name tag and aggressively said my first name and then asked me, "What is your last name?" I didn't give him my last name and I said, "Yep, that's my first name. But what I can do is refuse service and call the police and have them escort you out of here because you're trying to intimidate me." He then apologizes, they both hand over to me their IDs, I ring them up, and they both laugh out loud as they walk out the store. Next time, I'll throw them both out if they open their mouths and won't bother serving them. I don't come to work to get abused. I don't know WHAT is going on lately, but I see a ton of posts on here about increasing hostility, anger, and violence towards us Walgreens employees. If things don't change, more of us will only leave the company. I honestly don't remember it being this bad as far as customers are concerned. Something else happened to me yesterday on the SAME shift. Smh. I'll save that for another post.

2024.05.21 04:23 Character-Shine-3803 How to stop getting frustrated at work?

So I work in retail and i’m currently getting frustrated which is daily. If I close the day shift barely does any recovery and I am left with 4 racks from the fitting room and more from returns. Its like everyone thinks I can do it all. If I open I am constantly getting called to be a backup cashier which makes the recovery in the fitting room pile up. That makes the fitting room attendants job mire difficult and they keep trying to call for recovery. Today they called for recovery 5 minutes after I took a rack to put back on the sales floor. I cannot anymore. I really want to call out tomorrow but I saw whos working in the fitting room and this lady treats me so nice I can’t be rude and call out.
Customers treat the store so bad they throw clothing over the racks. They have 0 respect for the store and employees. I leave work feeling very angry and I go home and complain to my husband. I really do not know what to do anymore :(
I feel bad feeling frustrated and getting upset with getting called for recovery but I am one person who cannot do 5 recovery racks at once. Today stock room employees pushed out 4 racks of new items expecting me to complete them while I had to do recovery and be a backup cashier. What should I do about this? Its too much. I am counting down the days until my vacation break at this point

2024.05.21 01:50 clidetheglyde The more you play the less fun it becomes?

The more I play this game I truly understand just how unfun it is.
I finally hit a personal rank goal and decided to just hang out in quick match in a serious attempt to get better at the game and I find myself frustrated with what the true play experience with Tekken 8.
I don't press buttons because everyone has counter hit launchers that heat engage. I try side stepping and side walking to be defensive with movement and get myself clipped with tracking(homing? glitching?) moves that heat engage. I try not to be too reckless or predictable with my pressure and I get hit with keepout tools that heat engage. I try to stand my ground in netural and contest with throws but even then I find myself getting engaged on.
When then developers and designers created this game did they only think about the offensive players experience? Sure its cool to sit in testing, devoid of human interaction and do all this cool shit and jerk off with special effects but it is NOT fun to be on the receiving end of this shit.
Against characters like Nina, Feng, Hwo, Ling I just stand there and attempt to neutral block and duck or low parry but inevitably I get hit with mid that I don't block even though I blocked a jillion of them in a row right before. You think the training and replay features would help with that but they don't.
I've had players ki-charge on me and send me some real nasty and racially abusive messages because they think I've given up and I'm ruining their gameplay experience, when actuality I'm just at a loss for what to do against their character. I'd try to ask for tips but I don't think the people with the offensive custom outfits that hurl slurs are the ones for advice.
I've asked a few people and they've told me its just time to do homework and get deeper invested in the community and it'll make learning easier but from with my experience from the community in the game I don't really want to do that. Even the post here are generally negative in tone and people are pretty fucking rude and reddit is supposed to be the nice part of the internet.
I'm just frustrated because I had so much fun with this game and I have a lot of time invested but now I'm truly seeing "How the sausage is made" and I think it's just better for me to drop the game altogether.
Just frustrated and venting I guess. Has anyone else gone through anything similiar? Any tips or insight?
