Greetings. I just wrapped up my undergrad in Biology. I am not looking to apply this cycle, but the next one (2 gap years), and I was looking at what actions I could take to improve my application. These are my stats so far, but I also included the projected stats by the time I apply. I am currently studying for the MCAT and plan on taking it this summer. During the course of the next year, I plan on continuing to work at my two clinical jobs, getting more volunteer experience, and getting more shadowing experience. My hours will only increase during the application cycle too, so it will actually be higher by the time I get into medical school. My main concern is my lower GPA

I'm still going to try to get some research before I apply by finding something that fits my schedule or getting a paid position, but there's no guarantee for now

Here’s my theory as to why it is Gojo at the of ch 260 in terms of his character and the storyline.
I think all the hints were in chapter 236 in hindsight and rereading it brought me to this conclusion:
The airport scene happens before we see his death in chapter 236. I believe this was not after his “death” but in the moments right before it/in between dying and living. This is my analysis of the airport scene:

1. One of the defining traits of Gojo’s character is how his perception is skewed in terms of how others see him and how he thinks they see him. He doesn’t show his true feelings to anyone and masks it with either humor, sarcasm or comments about his own strength. For example, all of his deeper thoughts are never actually said out loud. He might think it's something obvious that everyone knows what he is up to but in reality it just makes him seem a bit obnoxious even to his closest friends. Like when he very begrudgingly admits about wanting to make the jujutsu society a better place to Ijichi when Yuji dies and Ijichi is surprised by this revelation. He feels misunderstood and he says it in the chapter itself but he never actually does anything to change that or let people in. Most likely because after he became the strongest he didn't see any point in trying and leaned into the role of the strongest. Clarifying his morals or being more honest in a direct way would bring him at odds with who he really is and who he thinks he needs to be with the latter winning so far.
   
2. At the start of the chapter when he arrives at the airport he is still the same person who operates from his ego and thinks he died with no regrets because until now the only real goal he allowed himself to have was to act like the strongest and die like one too. As the chapter progresses you can see doubts and realizations seeping in of the other goals that he may have put aside earlier (creating a better world for the next generation of sorcerers, telling Megumi about his father).
   
3. When he mentions Megumi he looks visibly concerned and it was Geto who changes the subject to his fight with Sukuna. Even this conversation starts with him talking about things that would actually be his regrets (no one could reach him, he felt lonely, only seen for his strength). It’s noticeable that he feels comfortable to open up about this when it's in context of someone else (Sukuna). Then he reels it back in to talk about not having Geto to give him a slap on the back and stating that as his regret instead.
   
4. Next, his conversation with Nanami and Haibara, I think this was a turning point for him because when Nanami says “you were just in the game because you got a kick out of it” makes him realize just how little even his closest friends think of him and know him. He is very visibly annoyed by this as if it hit a nerve. Geto adding “was just proven by your actions a second ago” hits the nail on the head. He failed to show the world who he is because he wouldn't acknowledge it himself. When Nanami talks about his decision to go “south” after his death, Gojo just appears to be listening and thinking about his own choices.
   
5. Finally when he says to yaga about no sorcerer dying without regret I think it was more of his way of reaching the conclusion of needing to change and die as who he truly is instead, not as the strongest but as Gojo Satoru and that Yaga was right, to do this, he needs to live as someone true to himself and give up his false notions of what his duty to the world is. He realizes his regret after this conversation with his closest friends and makes the decision to head north instead.
   

I think chapter 236 was set up to let Gojo come to terms with who became and who he needed to be which which is exactly what Geto said to him when he says “are you Gojo Satoru because you're the strongest or are you the strongest because you are Gojo Satoru”, and his second reawakening will show us that he is the strongest because he is Gojo Satoru not because being strong is his lineage and destiny. It wasn’t a conclusion to his arc at all, only to the false image he clinged to.

I'm looking for any websites/software/AI prompt that will generate a reading passage and questions for 5th - 9th graders mainly. Ok so this is really going to be a throwaway type post - I don’t know if I need advice, insight is appreciated but also….I may just need this off my chest?
I (26F) have been seeing a guy (28M) for about…threeish months, although I’d say realistically it’s only been amping up in the last month with more consistent hang outs, more time spent together just doing nothing, more consistent communication when we’re not together, etc.

I'm still trying to figure out things like "my role" (because I've felt strongly that I had one but haven't placed it yet), but due to the amount of meditation and self-reflection I've done in my lifetime I already know at least what I look like. I am a part of space itself. An amorphous being made of the vacuum, stars, auroras, and the like. I can shapeshift to some degree, giving myself a humanoid form, but I am still made of the same stuff. I do not need to breathe, eat, or sleep, and I think my size can change drastically, but my humanoid form often appears as what I've been calling a "celestial giant", large enough to hold moons and stars alike in my hands.

Hey, so I was very excited for cata launch I pre-leveled, pre BIS my char for cata launch, months before.
I even bought cataclysm mount since I thought it's limited edition, and looks kinda nice, something I never do with microtransactions. But since all the BC, Wotlk mounts got dicontinued I thought to get in, before it's gone. And 35$ for a mount lol, I could get a game on release on steam for that.
But then I saw asmongold video about them releasing in-game store on cata/(possibly SoD i guess?),
and there they were the "limited edition" mounts.
Is it just blizzard that don't want to keep limited edition sacred? I love getting limited edition fomo things in games usually in-game achievable
I don't see any future for wow anymore, the LAZY greed blizzard has, i don't wanna play it even.

I decided to make a short post about how music IS haram, as someone who’s believed it’s halal my entire life until recently.
The Hadith
The main Hadith used to source that music is haram is the following;
“Among my ummah there will certainly be people who permit zina, silk, alcohol and musical instruments…” (Narrated by al-Bukhari ta’liqan, no. 5590; narrated as mawsul by al-Tabarani and al-Bayhaqi. See al-Silsilah al-Sahihah by al-Albani, 91)
How come now in today’s world there *are* people who permit musical instruments nowadays? Just like what prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said? Indeed there are no coincidences in the Quran. One argument against this Hadith is that the prophet (peace be upon him) is referring to musical instruments accompanied by zina, silk, oand alcohol, but that’s just not true because that’s not what he said. Another argument is that it’s okay to listen to musical instruments but not playing them cause of how for example you can’t drink alcohol but you can watch someone else drink alcohol. While this argument does have merit, this next Hadith kind of disproves it:
“And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music) to mislead (men) from the path of Allah…” [Luqman 31:6]
It disproves the argument because it says purchasing music, not playing musical instruments.

Therefore, music is haram.

Indeed there are no coincidences in the Quran.

well, yeah, step 2 is where it begins. just.. stopping. at the beginning, just.. stop. don’t listen to music. you’ll find it easy at the beginning but then the silence might start to break you because you’re so used to having music in the background 24/7. when you’re at that point, don’t give in. just don’t. try listening to some nasheeds, nasheeds work great as a substitute atleast for me, and they are a great way I’m getting through this stage of quitting. and no, you don’t have to leave your favorite music artists, you can search for acapella versions of their songs and your likely to find some. while you won’t find every song, you can possibly upload some yourself using AI tools to extract vocals and uploading as podcasts however you may wanna look into copyright issues with that !!. acapella songs will inevitably not feel the same. you might find yourself craving the normal versions of those very songs but remember: all of this is for a reason, Allah knows best and you’re doing this for jannah. the songs that you’ll avoid in this world are the ones you can listen to in the next. though, here’s a tip, nasheeds fill in the gap of music better then acapella cause of the way vocals are placed in the background, so try to listen to them more -`♡´-

you can skip this part if you aren’t a music producer or musician or someone who wanted to learn instruments.
I recommend that you watch other videos and stuff for help on this as I’m really not the best person to give advice on how to quit music for musicians, but I’m putting this here anyways. this might be incredibly painful for you and I assume you tried to convince yourself it’s halal more then anyone else. if you’ve been learning instruments for years it might be really difficult to accept this but just put the instruments away and think. try to remember that this world is just a test. you’ll be able to play these instruments in the next world, and it may feel like all this effort in learning has been wasted but it’s not, you can use that effort in jannah inshallah. I personally have a guitar that I planned on learning but it has sat in my closet for a while, and now I know it’s gone to waste hurts me alot I won’t lie, I cried last night because of it. but I came to terms when I remembered what this is for, what IM for. life is a test and never forget that. it may be incredibly painful to quit, leave, and forget music especially for you as a music producer or musician, but it’s all worth it I promise you.

now for avoiding music. music is EVERYWHERE and it’s incredibly difficult to avoid it. try to not go to restaurants and places that play music but if you can’t then just cover your ears, if you can’t do that then try to ignore it, and if you can’t do that then just try to not care about it and pretend it doesn’t exist even if it’s hard to ignore. when watching stuff like YouTube shorts, mute ur audio, check the video/sound if you’re pretty sure it doesn’t have music, unmute, then repeat.

Hi there, I wanted to ask you all for some advice since we will probably upgrade our lighting console soon. (sorry if some terms are incorrect, english is not my first language)
Here's my background, so you can have an idea of where the console would be used: During summer I work as a sound technician with a small service, it's two main guys, me, plus some other freelancers when the need arises. We do mostly live music: bars, small festivals, some theater performance and music school recitals. On average I'd say there are 200 people in the crowd, but for some of the bigger jobs there could be a thousand or so. Over the years I've kind of become the one responsable for lighting, up until now I've used Luminair on the iPad and a DMX interface between the router and the lights. I don't necessarily dislike Luminair, but all things considered having a physical console and something a bit more reliable could be good, both for the clients and for me, not having to control all the lights always from a screen.
As far as lights are concerned usually we put down 4 led towers (all connected to the same control unit) in the back, a couple of led pars on the sides and two frontal halogen lights. Often we add some blinders and some led bars, for the bigger shows we bring some more pars and a couple of moving heads, we rarely elevate the lights on a truss.
The budget is not set in stone, but I've been looking for something around $2.000, not much more. I have no formal education on the subject, but I've been working on the field for about 8 years now and I'm willing to study and learn what I need to know to use the new interface.
Up until now the solutions that i found more interesting are: - ChamSys QuickQ 10: I've tried the 20 working with another service and I liked it enough, also the guy who uses it tells me that it's pretty reliable. - LighShark LS1: I'm intrigued by the effect generator, as far as I can tell it's a feature that the others lack. - SGM pilot 3000: ok this one wouldn't really be ideal, but a friend of ours has one and could sell it to us for something like $800.
tldr: do you have any experience with one of these three consoles? do you have suggestions for something in that price range?
ps: more often than not we set up the audio mixer on the side of the stage and we control it with an iPad, so if the lighting console could also be controlled remotely would be good.

I have about 20k ish purchasing power at the moment I’m coming from a bmw 335ixi I want a car a I could build but something that looks nice at the same time . The c5 isint as fast but it’s reliable engine wise and it’s a cheap replace in case if blown down the line however I’ve heard certain replacement parts are rare and therefore expensive.
The question is A low mileage c5 such as 20-50k miles Or a decent miled 86k miles c6?

New Flash everyone: the guy who hangs out with Daniel Greene(a pro-fairy rights socialist), is loved by redditors, and got a Hugo award is… woke. Who would have ever seen that coming? But, thanks to Jon Del Arroz making a video about it on May 18th, I am here to repeat the news back to you so there is an easily accessible source as to HOW he’s woke. Everything was revealed back in January 2023, but I want people to understand the implications and narrative that he’s presenting when he says his concerns about fairy rights. By the end of this, you will realize that people calling themselves Christian does not cause them to be immune to wokeness.
In fact, with how Christianity has influenced wokeness into existence, it’s likely a lot of "Christians" are what we can call “first wave wokeness”.
For context, Brandon Sanderson is a Mormon, part of the Latter-Day Saints (LDS). Mormonism is almost exclusively a US issue, and I’ve also noticed that there are a lot of youtubers who tend to be Mormon women(probably because they have other women in the house to do the chores). These people are great with money, big in business, and their church is anti-fairy. A lot of problems the fairy-rights activists have are with Mormon churches, which is strange for Europeans to witness with how open a lot of their churches are, outside of the US. Protestant, evangelical, unitarian, the national church of Denmark, it’s a big list.
But in 2008, Brandon wrote an essay about his Mormon beliefs on how Dumbledore from Harry Potter liked to have wands stirred around in his brown cauldron. His quote:

How does this relate to Dumbledore? I'm not trying to present him as an antagonist or a villain. All I'm saying is that if you believe in the truth of your message, then you shouldn't care if someone decent, respected, and intelligent is depicted as believing differently from yourself. Decent, respected, and intelligent people can be wrong--and you can still respect them. It's okay. That doesn't threaten our points, since we (theoretically) believe that they are eternal and stronger than any argument we could make.

Back in this time, Brandon had only been an author for 3 years, but he won an award for his first published book, Elantris. He was being careful with his words, and his take is considered liberal. He was trying to defend the backlash JK Rowling received for her (poor) choice of virtue signaling and tried to mend this defense with his own religion. Mentioning his religious views is what got him canceled back then, which he later apologized for in 2011:

I cannot be deaf to the pleas of \[fairy\] couples who want important things, such as hospital visitation rights, shared insurance, and custody rights. At the same time, I accept and sustain the leaders of the LDS church. I believe that a prophet of God has said that widespread legislation to approve \[fairy\] marriage will bring pain and suffering to all involved.

He was not backing down from his religion yet. His goal post moved to the legal ramifications of the US, which are separate from his church(remember, church and state, supposed to be separate in the US), but he was still saying his religion wanted him to oppose people calling it a marriage and having it in churches. This was a second “cancellation” that didn’t go very far, mostly because he was able to use religion as an excuse for his take, with the Christian Cake Packed With Fudge Scandal not happening yet(2018).
Fast forward to 2023, after he hangs out with a bunch of woke youtubers, and we get a new quote from Brandon:

The church’s first prophet, Joseph Smith, famously taught, “I teach them correct principles and they govern themselves.” My current beliefs are where I’ve arrived on my journey, as I attempt to show the love that Jesus Christ taught. I look forward to seeing further changes in the church, and I work to make sure I am helping from within it to create a place that is welcoming of \[fairy\] people and ideas. I would love, for example, to see the church recognize \[fairy\] marriage among its members. Both temporally and eternally. I would support ordaining \[tinkerbell\] men to the priesthood. (And would support the ordination of women, though that is another issue.)

That’s interesting. It seems like he made a complete 180 on his stance, claims that he’s always believed this new stance, blames Jesus for this new stance, and then doubles down on this new stance by adding female ordination(becoming a priest and higher) and even Tinkerbells. As time went on, he decided that his religion was totally wrong about fairies, and this 13 year difference means way more than the nearly 200 years Mormonism has been around. I believe a fellow Mormon, Shadversity, would love to have a discussion about how any of this makes sense, but I’m starting to feel that he’s the same way. Who knows if Ethan Van Sciver understands Mormonism as well as Brandon Sanderson does, with how easy it is to manipulate prophecies and reinterpret scripture.
But that’s been the point for a while, right?
Wokeness is here to restructure both historical evidence and even religions, in order to shift cultures and social institutions to obey this progressive change. Words are changed in the dictionary, social “norms” are changed to be updated for a “modern audience”, and postmodernists like Foucault were able to trick college kids into thinking the Greeks were all pixie fairies. Once a critical theorist gets their hands on something with power, their goal is not to keep it as it is. It is to keep it for themselves. This is why you will hear these people say everything is subjective, which is secret code for “Look at me: I’m the captain of reality now.”
But wait, it gets better! Brandon Sanderson continued with:

Back in 2007, I was mostly known only in my community, not to the world at large. The essay, then, was directed at my local community, and was more controversial among them (for being too liberal) than it was controversial to the world at large for being \[fairy\]phobic. Many of the assertions (such as my view on \[fairy\] marriage) do not reflect my current stance. After writing it, and interacting with those who found it objectionable–even painful–I came to understand them and their experiences better. Though they did not owe me that honor, they gave it freely.

Brandon cares deeply about the pain he caused to his wallet… I mean the fairies who saw his essay. He was an award winning author back then, he didn’t know it would be a global thing. It was supposed to be only seen by people in Utah, that’s it. This is what we call: bullshit. The woke rely heavily on gaslighting and pretending they’re ignorant of everything, while telling others that they need to learn and understand EVERYTHING about a subject before they are even able to mention it.
He was already big on reddit, he knew all about his fandom, and he knew about his publisher, Tor. The only thing that really changed is that now he is unable to stick to being liberal and he has to present himself as progressive. Why? Well, the new Amazon deal happened recently, and he’s the writer of the series The Wheel of Time. As if Rings of Power wasn’t evidence enough of how Amazon mistreats their properties, Brandon was forced to erase his own past, like Agent J in Men in Black, burning his own hands in the process.
I’m not surprised that he’s woke or even that Christians are falling to this woke inquisition. When I said first wave wokeness, I would like to clarify why it’s the catalyst for all of this stupidity. Wokeness is not of Christian values, but instead a parasite upon Christianity, in the same way Gnosticism and Satanism would be. When Christianity started to allow new sects, and a lot of these were considered valid, the crazy sex cults of the 60s opened the floodgates for a bunch of crazy reinterpretations. It’s the same way as how there are still circles of Christianity that go for flat earth theory or say that dinosaurs don’t exist, with these people usually at the forefront of the home-schooling movement.
It’s not that home-schooling is bad by itself, it’s that bad people use it to then have the good people using it be wrongfully grouped into the same area, in the same way gun-ownership does. This type of bastardization has always been a problem in the US, due to the lack of authority over what makes something categorized as such a thing, thanks to liberalism allowing the freedom to constantly change things. As time went on, this liberalism changed into progressivism, with the key difference being that liberalism is an allowance of change while progressivism is an enforced change. The liberalism of the 1800s allowed the Confederates to claim Christianity approved of their enslavement of black people, by blaming the story of Ham and using scripture to claim it was okay to enslave certain people for generations. We always see this strange cherry-picking of scripture from fake Christians, and this problem has expanded into the Vatican itself with the current and following generations of Popes.
A lot of times, we’ll hear news about how Christians are under attack, a bakery is targeted to expose discrimination, or even where people claim they were banned from twitch for being Christian. But what they get wrong is that they are in the same circle as liberal and progressive Christianity, their openness created this weakness to tourism, and most Christian circles have been taken over in the US since before the 60s. The south has a culture of being liberal, Mormons have a culture of being liberal, protestants are very liberal, all because the US began as a liberal culture in the form of classical liberalism. The libertarian argument is always used by these liberal groups, that changes into the progressive enforcement, and over the years these liberal people get infected by the virus.
Add money to the mix, and we have ourselves an endless chain of liberal minded people falling to wokeness. The “redemption” narrative, along with original sin, from Christianity is currently its main weakness. The appeal to ignorance is another weakness, with people playing skeptic as a snake slithers through the grass. Christianity isn’t the problem by itself, it’s the naivety that comes from blind faith, which then expands into a contradictory blind faith that people are good inside, only to later wonder why everything is changing for the worse when evil people are put in charge. Fantasy stories have been under attack by the woke for quite a while, long before they tried to appropriate Tolkien with Rings of Power.
The fantasy that is controlled by the woke is an extension to their attack on religion, because to them a fantasy story is no different than a bible. Mythological presentation, symbolic themes, a dream-like world to present morals to follow; the entire thing has been used by Brandon to then have him later claim that he’s always had fairy characters since the beginning. Sure, his religion says fairies are bad, but then he virtue signals by claiming he’s always made fiction about how they’re good. He would never say this if the publishing world made sense and if publishers were the way they were in the 1950s. That is because he would never have to choose between religion and money back then, with money always mattering more to the typical materialist.
I’m sure people will say that I’m being hard on Christians, or that I’m evil for saying this, or even that I am a satanist for noticing. These people would only be angry at the truth being said, which is the opposite of what Christianity teaches. Fantasy writers, like Brandon, have a lot of supporters, with this support merging between the woke and Mormons. So many feel that they need to make sense of their fandom, so they claim their religion is wokeness, converting it into blind Satanism. This is far from the truth and we need to condemn those who focus solely on radical subjectivity.
Especially if they blame God for their stupid takes, like how Brandon does now.

Around 25 weeks I was diagnosed with generational hypertension and started blood pressure meds. Besides high blood pressure and swelling in my feet I didn’t have any other symptoms. My friend who recently had a baby has been worried about my bp and checking in on me and recommended I call the on call this last weekend because of high blood pressure and more swelling than usual. They sent me to L&D triage where my blood pressure was much higher than it was at home. They ended up starting the steroid shot series, magnesium and transferred me to a high risk labor and delivery hospital an hour away from home. It’s been a little less than 48 hours and I’m having a hard time. They told me the plan is to induce at 34 weeks (if I can make it that far) but the average time for delivery in these cases is typically a week or two. But basically they told me I’m not leaving until baby is born. Has anyone else has a similar experience? I’m scared, sad and feeling lonely. My husband visits as much as he can but still has to work and take care of our pets so can’t stay with me constantly. I’m worried about a turn in events and something happening where I’m induced quickly and going through this without my husband. Obviously he would come straight here if something were to happen but I just worry about him not being here in time. Did you make it past the average 10 days after being diagnosed with pre eclampsia? How long did it take for your pre eclampsia to advance? I’ve been feeling better besides having a headache. No change in vision, labs are still looking good besides “a ton of protein in urine”. Bp is still fluctuation but seems to be okay still. Last reading was 148/89.

I'm looking for a mod that simply replaces some or all of the dead trees in Fallout 4.
I've recently looked at some of the classics regarding a greener Commonwealth (A Forest, A little bit of Green etc.), but most of these mods add a LOT of new trees or don't have files for proper LOD generation.
Sadly, while A Forest looks great, I get a whooping 20 FPS drop, even with the lower resolution addon. My 4 year old (gaming) laptop will run vanilla FO4 at 1440p at 100 FPS, with my current 700ish mods loadorder I'm usually able to keep a steady 60, which is fine by me. Is there a mod that simply replaces dead trees, without adding new ones?
I use SS2 and some location overhauls, so I'm looking for something that adds as little as possible, just replaces. I also don't use any highres mods, since I look to avoid FPS drop where possible

Hi, I've been having a lot of trouble with getting this game to be playable on my laptop since launch day and I don't know what else to do so I'm reaching out for some troubleshooting advice and help if anyone would be so kind.
My current setup is an AMD Ryzen 5 7520U, with 16GB of RAM (15.2GB usable), using Windows 11 (not in S mode) as the operating system. I have a Toshiba Canvio 4TB external hard drive with the Steam version of the game installed on it like all of my other PC games. My AMD drivers are up to date at version 24.5.1 too. Aside from that I'm not sure what else I should specify about my laptop/setup but if more information is needed let me know. I just got into PC gaming this year and so far it's been great for Guardians of the Galaxy, GTA V, several Assassin's Creed games, and even heavily modded Skyrim and Fallout 4,
My current issues: - The game is stuttering or lagging to the point where everything looks and feels like it's in slow motion. I can't even rotate the camera or move around without extreme delay and stuttering. This caused issues with combat and timing in the intro level and I couldn't even attempt to sneak through the village at the beginning of the game. - There are blue and white flashes coming from different light sources like torches that keep randomly popping up (like a lighting/texture glitch?) and it is apparent as soon as I load in the game since the main menu is pausing every few seconds and the tall grass is flickering blue. - These issues are happening in gameplay and during cinematics.
"Fixes" I've tried: - Adjusted all in-game graphics and display settings to match several different "optimized" lists I've found listed in this subreddit, as well as Steam Communties, and other gaming websites. Most of the time I've set these to low or medium specific layouts or layouts specific for low end PCs but I've tried high and very high several times too. -Adjusted V-Sync, anti-aliasing, frame generation, dynamic resolution scaling and upscale methods in different capacities - Disabled full-screen optimizations, and ran the program as an administrator - Switched between windowed, full-screen, and exclusive full-screen modes with the aforementioned different "optimized settings". - Disabled Steam overlays, and I don't think I have GeForce Experience or Nvidia as far as I know. But I haven't deleted the folder containing the PSN overlays just in case I do decide to try Legends mode but if that's the only fix I'll give it a shot. - Turned off Windows Defender and whatever default anti-virus was on my laptop. I don't have MalwareBytes and never even heard of it until people started suggesting to disable it in other support threads so that can't be it either.. - I've restarted my laptop in between different major setting changes - Quit or turned off unnecessary background processes and apps And that's pretty much everything I can remember.
I'm sorry for such a long post that may sound negative but I've tried to be as specific as possible so I don't waste anyone's time. It's just like every solution that worked for someone else isn't doing anything at all to affect gameplay for me and I'm almost ready to give up on playing this game. I just don't want to though because I keep seeing how praised it's been and how beautiful it can actually look and play on low end systems and even the SteamDeck. I don't want to assume but I'd hope my laptop is just as capable as a SteamDeck if not more. I just don't want to miss out on this amazing experience everyone else seems to be having. I've waited for years to get into this because I don't own a Playstation and didn't plan to pick it up for just this game and now that I finally have a chance it's not working properly. Could anyone, please, help me figure this out and what's going wrong or what I'm doing wrong?

Delivering the commencement address to the graduating seniors at Morehouse College today, President Joe Biden addressed the nation. After thanking the mothers, fathers, grandmothers, grandfathers, and all the people who helped the graduates get to the chairs in front of the stage, Biden recalled Morehouse’s history. The school was founded in 1867 by civil rights leader Reverend William Jefferson White with the help of two other Baptist ministers, the Reverend Richard C. Coulter and the Reverend Edmund Turney, to educate formerly enslaved men. They believed “education would be the great equalizer from slavery to freedom,” Biden said, and they created an institution that would make the term “Morehouse man” continue to stand as a symbol of excellence 157 years later. Then Biden turned to a speech that centered on faith. Churches talk a lot about Jesus being buried on Friday and rising from the dead on Sunday, he said, “but we don’t talk enough about Saturday, when… his disciples felt all hope was lost. In our lives and the lives of the nation, we have those Saturdays—to bear witness the day before glory, seeing people’s pain and not looking away. But what work is done on Saturday to move pain to purpose? How can faith get a man, get a nation through what was to come?” It’s a truism that anything that happens before we are born is equidistant from our personal experience, mixing the recent past and the ancient past together in a similar vaguely imagined “before” time. Most of today’s college graduates were not born until about 2002 and likely did not pay a great deal of attention to politics until about five years ago. Biden took the opportunity to explain to them what it meant to live through the 1960s. He noted that he was the first in his family to graduate from college, paid for with loans. He fell in love, got a law degree, got married and took a job at a “fancy law firm.” But his world changed when an assassin murdered the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King—a Morehouse man—and the segregated city of Wilmington, Delaware, erupted with fires, looting, fights, and occasional gunfire. For nine months, the National Guard patrolled the city in combat gear, “the longest stretch in any American city since the Civil War,” Biden recalled. “Dr. King’s legacy had a profound impact on me and my generation, whether you’re Black or white,” Biden explained. He left the law firm to become first a public defender and then a county councilman, “working to change our state’s politics to embrace the cause of civil rights.” The Democratic Party had historically championed white supremacy, but that alignment was in the process of changing as Democrats had swung behind civil rights and the 1965 Voting Rights Act. Biden and his cohort hoped to turn the Delaware Democratic Party toward the new focus on civil rights, he said. In 1972, Biden ran for the Senate and won…barely, in a state Republican president Richard Nixon won with 60% of the vote. Biden recalled how, newly elected and hiring staff in Washington, D.C., he got the call telling him that his wife and daughter had been killed in a car accident and that his two sons were gravely injured. The pain of that day hit again 43 years later, he said, when his son Beau died of cancer after living for a year next to a burn pit in Iraq. And he talked of meeting First Lady Jill Biden, “who healed the family in all the broken places. Our family became my redemption,” he said. His focus on family and community offered a strong contrast to the Republican emphasis on individualism. “On this walk of life...you come to understand that we don’t know where or what fate will bring you or when,” Biden said. “But we also know we don’t walk alone. When you’ve been a beneficiary of the compassion of your family, your friends, even strangers, you know how much the compassion matters,” he said. “I’ve learned there is no easy optimism, but by faith—by faith, we can find redemption.” For the graduates, Biden noted, four years ago “felt like one of those Saturdays. The pandemic robbed you of so much. Some of you lost loved ones—mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, who…aren’t able to be here to celebrate with you today…. You missed your high school graduation. You started college just as George Floyd was murdered and there was a reckoning on race. “It’s natural to wonder if democracy you hear about actually works for you. “What is democracy if Black men are being killed in the street? “What is democracy if a trail of broken promises still leave[s]…Black communities behind? “What is democracy if you have to be 10 times better than anyone else to get a fair shot? “And most of all, what does it mean, as we’ve heard before, to be a Black man who loves his country even if it doesn’t love him back in equal measure?” The crowd applauded. Biden explained that across the Oval Office from his seat behind the Resolute Desk are busts of Dr. King and Senator Robert Kennedy, challenging Biden: “Are we living up to what we say we are as a nation, to end racism and poverty, to deliver jobs and justice, to restore our leadership in the world?” He wears a rosary on his wrist made of Beau’s rosary as a reminder that faith asks us “to hold on to hope, to move heaven and earth to make better days.” “[T]hat’s my commitment to you,” he said. “[T]o show you democracy, democracy, democracy is still the way.” Biden pledged to “call out the poison of white supremacy” and noted that he “stood up…with George Floyd’s family to help create a country where you don’t need to have that talk with your son or grandson as they get pulled over.” The administration is investing in Black communities and reconnecting neighborhoods cut apart by highways decades ago. It has reduced Black child poverty to the lowest rate in history. It is removing lead pipes across the nation to provide clean drinking water to everyone, and investing in high-speed internet to bring all households into the modern era. The administration is creating opportunities, Biden said, bringing “good-paying jobs…; capital to start small businesses and loans to buy homes; health insurance, [prescription] drugs, housing that’s more affordable and accessible.” Biden reminded the audience that he had joined workers on a picket line. To applause, he noted that when the Supreme Court blocked his attempt to relieve student debt, he found two other ways to do it. He noted the administration’s historic investment in historically black colleges and universities. “We’re opening doors so you can walk into a life of generational wealth, to be providers and leaders for your families and communities. Today, record numbers of Black Americans have jobs, health insurance, and more [wealth] than ever.” Then Biden directly addressed the student protests over the Israeli government’s strikes on Gaza. At Morehouse today, one graduate stood with his back to Biden and his fist raised during the president’s speech, and the class valedictorian, DeAngelo Jeremiah Fletcher, who spoke before the president, wore a picture of a Palestinian flag on his mortarboard and called for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, at which Biden applauded. “In a democracy, we debate and dissent about America’s role in the world,” Biden said. “I want to say this very clearly. I support peaceful, nonviolent protest. Messmer might be missing one of his eyes, and it may have been used to make Marika's Scarseal. They look suspiciously alike and Messmer is likely missing an Eye. If the Scarseals and Soreseals are people's actual Eyes, then I have to wonder where the other 3 eyes that were used came from.

So I started rise two weeks ago, and I really enjoyed the game. I beat every town quest, then went to the guild and beat 1 and 2 star quests, I began on the 3 star, but then decided to join some people take on the rampage to unlock 4 star. I played some more 3 star, but I just got tired because their the same monsters I've already fought multiple times over and over again. I'm getting inda tired of fighting zinogre, almudron, and magnamalo over and over again. So I then decided to just move to high rank, but I am just doing more great izuchi and such. The difficulty is getting there, but the confusion of how to hande the plus armor, new weapons, and all the stuff that comes with high rank has had me watch a bunch of videos, learn a ton, then to find out I really still struggle to understand it all. The games getting more challenging, I get that, I like that, but It kinda...just doesn't feel right. It's been an ecsesive amount of fighting monsters which are both boringly easy and an annoying kind of hard. I just am getting kinda tired of fighting the same guys over and over, I learn some stuff, but I don't know what abilities on armor due because I can't figure it out. I just am confused, I'm looking at generations ultimate and four ultimate almost drooling because the game looks different. I don't know...I just am struggling to understand it all, and I just need some help explaining it, maybe I should take a break? But I still want to play monster hunter, just not rise! I fear though that I'm gonna go into Gu or 4u, be more confused, and drop monster hunter all together. I just need help, guidence, and a little bit of encouragement and recommendation.
