Trouble getting Adderall XR in NorCal

2024.05.22 02:11 BerkeleyBitsBytes Trouble getting Adderall XR in NorCal

I have been having a lot of trouble getting my son's prescription for Adderall XR filled. The prescription has been blocked with the Oakland Main Pharmacy since May 7th for the 5mg capsules. I have called the central/Livermore pharmacy and when I have had them check other locations, the other locations don't have any supply either.

2024.05.22 01:32 rainbud What drug was I offered while clubbing?

I was offered a drug while dancing at the Massive club (it seems like a good club as they usually invite world renowned DJs that play real techno, real disco, etc.). It was someone who was being friendly with me the whole evening. It was snorted out of a white plastic vial. My first thoughts were cocaine or crushed Adderall, but let’s just say it didn’t seem like either of those. In fact, it didn’t really seem like anything at all.
That said, I was already on my Rx drugs and am pretty drug tolerant in general, so I’m not sure what was really going on there. Some strange groups of people; not intimidating, just large groups of people dressed in exactly the same attire (or lack thereof).
What was this strange substance I was offered? An upper, or did they have anything nefarious in mind? I left intact (was even able to talk with the DJ who I had already knew from my time in sunny California) and the same guy who was being friendly to me and offered the substance saw me later—acting no differently to how I was before—sort of sneered and walked away. This was months ago.

2024.05.22 01:20 theclockfadder Switching from Vyvanse to Adderall XR. What to Expect?

Hey All!
I am recently diagnosed (October 2023), 31M. I have been medicated since February 2024 on 40MG Vyvanse. It's been working well with me and I haven't had much in terms of side effects.
Consistently having issues getting it filled (generic) and the disparity in price between generic and brand with my coverage is ~$75 a month. I can't justify that price difference on something I wasn't really needing/using before.
Talked with doc and he recommended Adderall XR 20mg. I'm going to give it a go this month and see how it works with me.
Anyone make the switch and notice any differences or side effects that presented after the switch? I know medication interacts with everyone differently, but just trying to be prepared for anything I should be looking out for!
Thanks 🙏🏻

2024.05.22 00:04 SticksOfButter21 Psych. Doc visit went well. Valium increase + started Prazosin. Zenzedi stabilized.

My visit with psychiatrist yesterday has helped me reach comfort in my mind with a constant anxiety of something I’m sure many are worried about and it is not right (if you can relate to this): the anxiety of your doc cutting, not changing dose and pharmacy rejecting and giving problems with controlled meds.
Both pharmacy and psychiatrist reassured me: allowed me to use 75 + 90 tabs about 1 week after 75 Valium 5mg to dose an extra tab if needed: explained I was on Valium 10mg x3 daily. So I let him know if I can try going daily with Valium 10mg twice daily I think it would be a good start with years of therapy, tapered down, and 4 years in Army as medic now out for about 1 year with fully honorable for medical retirement - I’m happy my discharge is the same as finishing my 4 year contract and did 4 years retired a few days shy of ETS (last day) date.
He gave me Valium 5mg x4 a day and said I can take it as I see fit in my day but not recommended to take all 4 at once like I’m at the dentist or something lol. Can take 3 in morning if I want, 1 at night; 2 and 2, etc.
Started me on Prazosin 1mg and stopped clonidine ER 0.1mg twice daily and took first dose at bed having the morning clonidine in me… ouch lol side effects of weakness had me miss worth and head to urgent care, but got better with time. I felt like I had an ear ache but got better on Zyrtec. So far side effects there, but the daytime effects I can see my trigger response isn’t as overdriven, so med good for daytime symptoms with PTSD too not only good for nightmares which I’ve been lacking a lot regardless. Did not wake up same time of 2:50 - 3:00am as I do like 5/7 nights in a week - great sign for me on its benefit of sleeping being me! I’m on Zoloft 50mg and plan to taper down off of because last VA psych. was only focusing on tapering me off of Valium.
Doctors who taper long term daily benzo’s with compliance AND especially patients who already tapered like myself twice with horrible quality of life: you aren’t even following WHO guidelines if that’s even a concern
Sorry to patients being hassled being on benzos long term. There’s no Suboxone of benzos as they have for opioid users choosing to quit and switch. Klonopin maybe is a similar concept with long duration; maybe Valium too with long half life understood by doctors.
Lastly, the switch from Adderall XR and IR to Zenzedi (dextroamphetamine sulfate) it’s a brand name similar to Dexedrine tablets, more dose options similar to Adderall IR. I am seeing a better amount of benefits with this: no rush sensation, no cold extremities regardless of fluid intake and running 20 - 40 miles/week. Sleeping is easier because the med wears off without the Levoamphetamine continuing to produce nasty PNS (peripheral nervous system) effects.
The pharmacy telling me the doctor choosing whatever he wants to send in, he will fill it. Even mentioning Desoxyn the pharmacist was okay with this.
I’m not used to having a doctor and pharmacy there to be there for me and do their job title. I was always in fear and seeing this 10-11 years later: it’s all fear surrounded around the system that the doctor (now influx of NP/PA especially) follow and limitations unspoken on stop them from helping; seemingly they believe the anti-med information and push stuff like gabapentin - now not so much in several states with controlled status or reporting to PDMP. System nonsense right there.
My post is long but I want anyone to know chat/message for help/support: I’ve played the game and fought for myself been on benzo/stimulant since 13-14 no problems with meds until new docs began taper-happy, extended release happy anti-fast tablet mindset: pressure lead to abuse thinking I was f-worded, but better docs helped my mind slow down abuse knowing stability with each good doc.
I’m here to help if needed: 3 year medic army clinic time helped too.

2024.05.22 00:01 ConcertNarrow3286 Vyvanse floors me.

I typically do not report side effects and the efficacy of the meds I take. Amphetamine is a good medication to gain interest in things that I need to do and execute these tasks effectively.
But Vyvanse floors me and makes me emotional. I asked for it from my GP as a replacement to Adderall/XR because of the tolerance I've built.
But instead of energy and focus, my brain becomes foggy and I am slowed, or I'm just not noticing me focusing. But I feel really slow but focused. Is this normal? I am still executing tasks and doing life stuff, but I feel slower and less discombobulated.
I don't get the kick of energy like with Adderall or I could be confusing it with the jitters. I guess Vyvanse doesn't have this side effect. I guess Vyvanse cuts the hyperactivity.
I'm gonna start eating a slice of pizza and burritos to help.

2024.05.21 22:09 SensitiveFig4674 New reaction to adhd meds even though nothing changed.

So I take 20 mg adderall XR in the morning and a 10 mg ‘booster’ in the afternoon. The bottle with the booster is normally labeled “Amphetamine salts.” Recently I got my prescription refilled and the bottle says “dextroamphetanine.” The pill looks different but I assumed it’s the same thing. Now when I take the new booster at noon my heart literally feels like it’s going to pump out of my chest. I had one pill left of the old “amphetamine salts” prescription and took it, and i was fine. Why am I reacting to the new prescription differently even though it’s supposedly the same thing? Should I stop taking it?

2024.05.21 20:59 Tough_Ad_6806 Concerta Issues

I’ve been taking Concerta 27mg for the past week or so. I noticed I feel like I’m not there in the present moment most of the time. I can be at work and randomly think of the darkest time in my life and it messes up my concentration. Also very sloppy when it comes to focusing. More so not retaining information as well.
I feel like it’s very unpredictable. One moment I have focus, and then I go back to my intrusive thoughts which lead me to distraction again. I believe I’ll talk to my doctor next appointment about Adderall XR and if it’ll be better for me. My insurance only covers Adderall XR and Concerta.
Concerta just doesn’t give me the same feeling as when I was on Adderall XR. I feel more spacey on Concerta. Does anyone have experience with this?

2024.05.21 20:53 dormvaped Nearly Full Pill in Stool

Sorry in advance, I have spent the last hour googling to no avail.
Been taking vyvanse for a few years and recently switched to brand name Concerta ER, which I understand gets the "ER" from the physical preparation of the pill, whereas Vyvanse sort of uses your body's machinery to do the extending of the release. I actually like it quite a bit; it seems to be a much steadier release than Vyvanse was for me and I don't feel like a husk when it wears off at the end of the day.
I'd been on 60mg vyvanse for a while, then last month started 27mg concerta ER. Yesterday I picked up my new script for 36mg (have to do this song and dance before insurance will let me do Adderall xr am/IR PM) and took it for the first time this morning around 8am. I pooped about an hour ago and there in the bowl was the last two thirds of that 36mg pill!
Other than the new dose, nothing in my morning routine changed. Made an espresso around 945a and chased it down with my usual protein shake. What gives? I've taken an encyclopedia's worth of pills both prescribed and illicit, mine and friends, of all different classes, sizes, and shapes- and can confidently say this is the first time I have ever pooped out anything close to a full pill. Though, this is my first experience with concerta...
Tl;Dr: shit out an almost full 37mg concerta ER something like 5 hours after taking it. Haven't ever shit a pill out before, and still felt/feel the effects of the pill after the dookie. Wat do

I have been on 2 doses of Adderall IR.I felt it actually worked and I felt productive for maybe a week? After that I felt absolutely nothing and was in the process of finding a psychiatrist. So I found him and then he said he would help me out. After my IR medication ran out I told him I feel absolutely nothing. He told me we can try 10mg XR for a month and wouldnt up my dose.He also recommend medications holidays and has said so at every appointment ive been.He also told me if this medication isnt working I most likely don't have adhd and should look into something's up else?ive now been on the XR for about 5 days and still nothing.
Is this guy a dunce? Should I ask to see him earlier than our 1 month because its not doing anything?

2024.05.21 14:53 Nathansp1984 Doctor keeps trying to change meds

39 white male, 199lbs, 6ft tall, non smoker, no known health conditions. I've been on adderall r30mg for a couple years now and last year instead of upping my xr dosage my doctor gave me a adderall 5mg ir booster to take in the afternoon. Everything has been working fine and then my doctor moved to a different facility. Now l've been assigned an APN who is very nice but every time I see her she says the doctor that's in charge of this office doesn't like adderall and especially doesn't like "parachute doses", he keeps pushing azstarys on me which I do not want after reading about the potential side effects of that med. I saw her again Monday last week and again with the azstarys, I said I don't want it, then she asked if l'd be ok with trying vyvanse. I gave in and said fine I'll try it. She's putting me on 30mg vyvanse, after reading up on it this seems low compared to my adderall dosage. Has anybody gone through this? I don't understand why they're so determined to switch me from a med that's working great with little to no negative side effects to a different med that l've never taken and don't know if it will work. Sorry for the long post, it's very frustrating

2024.05.21 10:53 phanesatlas migraines during adderall wear off?

hi all.
i’ve been on and off adderall forever but after a 7 year hiatus, i’m back on. i take 20 mg xr sometimes with 10 mg ir sprinkled in if i need it. i’m noticing that more often than not, i develop a throbbing headache usually behind one of my eyes once the med starts to wear off. does this happen to anyone else?
also, i find myself having to take a benzo to sleep. any other tips for sleeping while adderall is still wearing off? my ativan is running low and my doc doesn’t want to refill but sometimes i won’t sleep if i don’t have the ativan.

2024.05.21 07:58 luckyerin548 adderall made my menstrual cup fall out

So...I use a menstrual cup and the other day it fell out. In public. It was full. And I was wearing underwear!
It's kind of funny looking back at it so feel free to have a giggle at my expense lol. I'm fairly certain it was because the cup overflowed and lost its seal. And guess what caused unexpected changes to my period? Adderall. My cramps have been way worse than usual since I've been on it, and after a day or two of light bleeding and going 12 hours between cup changes, my cup started overflowing and unsealed not even three hours after a change.
I was just switched to Adderall XR after being on Vyvanse for a while, but I recently switched jobs so I had to start back on the "step program" at the beginning because my new insurance doesn't pay for my old psychiatrist who got me a PA for name-brand Vyvanse. And for some reason this doctor (a GP) can't or won't prescribe it for me (I assume she can't give me a PA for a scheduled psychiatric medication). Unfortunately generic Vyvanse doesn't work for me, so it was either this or I would have to wait until the end of the month to switch medications.
I'm so fed up with insurance (what's new, right?) and honestly I hate having to take this medication because it ruined my previously-perfect skin and I am so much more creative off of it. But I need to keep my job, so I'm stuck popping my pussy in public and covering spectators in menstrual blood -_-
Did I mention it fell out at the top of a staircase? At a club?It bippity boppity bounced itself down each step, splattering the staircase with blood and leaving me standing in a puddle of it LMAO. I honestly feel really bad for whoever had to clean it up because that's gross. I've been wearing cups for years and I've never ever had it fall out or misalign like that. The club I was at didn't even have menstrual products in the restrooms which is really odd for the area, so it was a perfect storm.
I am going to have to BEG my doctor to switch me back to Vyvanse.

2024.05.21 04:56 FormerIncident7665 weird headaches maybe.... adderall the cause?

so out of the blue recently I have started getting headaches on adderall which has never happened before. I've been on the same dose(20mg xr) for 3 years now and worked just fine. I suspect its has to do with caffeine intake or the fact that I started cutting recently but I just wanted to get other opinions on the topic

2024.05.21 00:24 vanillalatte12 48 hours since my last dose

As the title says, I’m coming up on 48 hours since my last dose.
I’ve been on 37.5mg XR for nearly two years and I decided to come off of it because of excessive weight gain that won’t go away no matter what I’ve tried. I’m SO uncomfortable in my own skin and I cannot take it anymore.
I took the beads out of the capsules for the last couple of days and slowly kept taking more out until I just stopped taking it. The only symptoms of withdrawal that I’ve had that have been bothering me the most are mood swings, some anxiety, sudden exhaustion and nausea. I’m also nearing that time of the month and it’s definitely heightened the mood swings/irritability. I will go from needing my husband or child, just wanting hugs and love to snapping and the smallest thing, and it’s making me crazy. I was sitting outside earlier and I just couldn’t take it anymore and wanted to rip my own skin off because of the weight I’ve gained in my stomach. (Which I know in my right mind will go away soon after all of this is out of my system, but try telling that to me now.)
I’ve been trying to stay hydrated and get plenty of sleep, but I cannot wait for this to be over.

2024.05.20 21:18 Psychological_Tip603 This just feels so impossible sometimes...

For some context, prior to COVID, I had a very well-paid job with excellent benefits, but did not know I was AuDHD (officially anyways).... after losing that job, it's been impossible to get another job. I got my official diagnosis and have been on Adderall XR for a few years now. I've done "gig" work like walking dogs or cleaning AirBnbs, but I can't even get a PT job. Money is insanely tight now that I can barely afford to refill my meds every 3 months. Decisions were made and I moved into a smaller, more cramped apartment, somehow paying *more* than my last place which was huge and had a yard. A friend in my city just told me she gets reimbursement for her meds plus disability payments because of a new disability law that passed, but I can't even wrap my head around how to start the process of figuring out if I qualify plus I'm scared of getting some benefit then being told later on that I messed up and don't actually qualify or something. I'm rationing my meds so that I don't have pay to refill as often, but then I end up with missed calls about jobs because I wasn't properly medicated in the moment to just answer an unknown call.
I feel like this was all over the place, but just needed to vent about how impossible life seems sometimes.

2024.05.20 21:00 Sola_Sista_94 Himiko Tries To Flirt (Fanfic)

Himiko sighed heavily. She and Kokichi were sitting underneath their favorite tree in the park right next to the pond. Kokichi turned to her.
"What's up with you?" he asked. Himiko slouched against Kokichi's shoulder.
"Nyeeeh...I'm bored," she sighed.
"Ugh! But, I'm with you!" Kokichi exclaimed, frowning. "Are you saying that I'm boring, HimiCocoa Bean?!"
"Not you," Himiko said. "Just...today. Today is boring."
"Hmm..." Kokichi murmured pensively. He looked above him at the tree, its emerald green leaves bathed in a golden sheen under the bright, warm sunlight. He turned his attention to the cloudless baby blue sky, its reflection shimmering in the sparkling, calm water of the pond. The gentle breeze carried the sweet smell of the flowers around them. Kokichi grinned flirtatiously at Himiko.
"Y'know, Monkey Buns, it's a nice day...for romance," he murmured. Himiko blushed, shyly tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
"Nyeh...I thought you didn't like mushy stuff," she said.
"Normally, I don't, buuut...it's a good way of keeping things interesting, wouldn't you agree?" Kokichi replied, giving Himiko a wink. Himiko giggled bashfully.
"I guess," she said with a small shrug. Kokichi wrapped his arm around Himiko's shoulders and wiggled his brow at her.
"So, let's make things interesting," he murmured. He started pecking her cheek with soft, tiny kisses. Himiko giggled.
"Nyeh...Kokichi!" she breathed as he moved his lips down to her neck. She gently nudged him away, batting her eyelashes coyly at him. "You really like kissing my neck a lot."
"Oh? Do you not want me to kiss you there?" Kokichi asked, grinning slyly as he reached for Himiko's hand. "That's fine. I can always go back to kissing just your han-."
"No, no! The neck is fine!" Himiko interrupted quickly, reaching for Kokichi's head and pulling it back to her neck. Chuckling, Kokichi began planting kisses on her neck again. Himiko bit her lip in bliss. "I just didn't know you liked kissing my neck so much," she murmured as she giggled. Kokichi kissed her neck again.
"Does it get your heart racing?" he asked. Himiko blushed bright red.
"Nyeh...yes!" she squeaked.
"Well, that's why I do it," Kokichi said with another kiss on her neck. Himiko giggled again.
"You know what else gets my heart racing?" she said. Kokichi pulled away from her neck and leaned his forehead against hers.
"What's that?" he murmured in a low, flirty voice. Himiko scrunched her shoulders with excitement.
"Nyeh...when you speak French!" she squealed. Kokichi smiled and rolled his eyes.
"What do you want me to say?" he asked. Himiko squealed and clapped her hands with excitement.
"I don't know," she admitted. "I just wanna hear it! Oh! But, whatever you say, say it in a French accent first, and then repeat in French! Eeee!! I just wanna hear what you sound like with a French accent!"
"I'm pretty sure you've heard me with a French accent before," Kokichi said.
"Well, I wanna hear it again!!" Himiko cried impatiently. "Do it! Do it! Do it!" Chuckling, Kokichi shook his head.
"God, you're such a dweeb, Himiko," he said, stroking her cheek. Himiko grinned at him with excitement, scrunching her shoulders. Kokichi thought for a moment of what to say, then turned to Himiko with a seductive expression when he was ready.
"Your eyes are two limpid pools of caramel glistening in the golden sunlight," he began in a smooth French accent. Himiko uttered a gurgling, squealing sound as she listened. Every word wrapped around her like a warm blanket. Kokichi reached for her hair, letting each strand fall gently from his fingers. "Your hair is soft, like the summer breeze, and so red that even a rose would look so dull in comparison. And your lips, beautiful and pink, like a candy with an eternally sweet taste to last with every kiss."
"Ohh...Kokichi..." Himiko breathed, bringing her hands to her chest. "Now...in French!"
"Tes yeux sont deux flaques limpides de caramel scintillant sous la lumière dorée du soleil," Kokichi murmured. "Tes cheveux sont doux, comme la brise d'été, et si rouges que même une rose paraîtrait si terne en comparaison." Kokichi paused to caress Himiko's cheek, smoothly running his fingers down to her chin. With his fingertips, he stroked her chin, gently inching her face closer to his. "Et tes lèvres, belles et roses, comme un bonbon au goût éternellement sucré pour durer à chaque baiser." He pressed his lips to Himiko's, locking her in a sweet, tender kiss.
"Ohhh...KOKICHI!!" Himiko breathed rapturously, wrapping her arms around his neck. She swooned as she tossed her head back and lifted her foot up to the back of her head with elation.
"Nee-heehee...satisfied?" Kokichi asked, raising a brow.
"Nyeh...not when it comes to French Kokichi," Himiko sighed, leaning her cheek against Kokichi's chest. "I can't get enough of that guy!"
"Clearly," Kokichi said. "Y'know, Himi, how about we switch things up a bit?"
"...What do you mean?" Himiko asked, frowning at him.
"How about you do the flirting for once?" Kokichi suggested. Himiko sat straight up again and shook her head vigorously.
"Ohhh, no!" she said. "There's no way that's going to happen!"
"Why not?"
"Nyeeeh...I'm nowhere near as good at flirting as you are!" Himiko cried.
"Uh...you can be," Kokichi said. "You bat your eyelashes at me all the time." Himiko blinked at him in surprise.
"I do that?! " she exclaimed. Kokichi stared at her, stunned.
"Y-Yes!" he said. "How do you not notice that?!"
"I don't know! I mean, I-I guess I just do it automatically, but I d-don't think I'm aware that I do it!" Himiko stammered. Then, she blushed with embarrassment and buried her face in her hands. "Nyeh...I probably look so weird and stupid when I do that."
"Not really," Kokichi said with a nonchalant shrug. "I think it's cute."
"Really?!" Himiko said. Then, she bashfully batted her eyelashes at him. "Well, I'm glad."
"See?! You did it just now!!" Kokichi said, pointing at Himiko.
"Oh...I guess I noticed it that time," Himiko said thoughtfully. "I guess it's so much of a natural reaction that I don't even realize I'm doing it."
"Eh, whatevs. It's no big deal," Kokichi said, waving his hand dismissively. "Now, it's your turn, HimiCocoa Bean! Impress me with your amazing flirting skills!" Himiko rolled her eyes.
"Tsk...fiiine," she grumbled. She cleared her throat and straightened her posture. Then, she stared at Kokichi. Kokichi stared back at her, waiting for her to do something.
"I'm not gettin' any younger over here," he teased, twirling his wrist to get her to say something.
"Well, this is hard!" Himiko said. "Is that all I do is just...bat my eyes at you?!"
"No, I mean, sometimes you sway your shoulders at me," Kokichi said. "And sometimes, you say flirty things to me, too."
"Yeah, that only happens when you get me in the mood!" Himiko said. Then, she smiled shyly. "Can you get me in the mood, please?" she asked in a small, hopeful voice. Kokichi smirked and shook his head at her.
"Nuh-uh..." he replied. "This time, you're gonna be the one settin' the mood, Monkey Buns." Himiko frowned at him with pouty lips.
"Okaaay..." she mumbled. She sighed and rolled her eyes as she thought of what to say. Then, she nodded her head. "Nyeh...I didn't wanna hafta do this to you, Kokichi, but you leave me no choice. Here comes the smolder." Kokichi uttered a chuckle as Himiko lowered her head. She lifted her head back up with half-lidded eyes, a half smile, and eyebrows that were shaking violently above her eyes. She looked more like a psychopath than someone trying to flirt. Kokichi burst into laughter, falling on his back.
"Nyeeeh...stop...laughing at me!" Himiko said, smacking Kokichi's legs, which were swinging from him kicking his feet.
"What was that?! " Kokichi laughed. "Why were your eyebrows so shaky?!"
"Because! I can't lift one eyebrow for too long!" Himiko replied, using her fingers to push one of her eyebrows up. "It starts to hurt!"
"There are other ways to flirt, y'know," Kokichi said. "You can use words, too."
"Well...okay," Himiko said. "I guess I'm better with words than I am with looks."
"Nee-heehee...ya got that right!" Kokichi joked. Himiko smacked his arm. "I was only kidding!" Kokichi said, then pressed his forehead against Himiko's. "You know you're my li'l cutie pie," he murmured.
"I thought you said you weren't going to flirt," Himiko said.
"I'm not, I'm just giving you some inspiration," Kokichi said.
"Ooohh..." Himiko nodded thoughtfully. Then, she grinned impishly. "Nyeh...who would be inspired by a liar like you?" Pretending to be sad, Kokichi poked out his lower lip and hung his head. Himiko pressed her forehead against his. "I'm just kidding! You know you're my...inspiry...wiry...guy...?" Kokichi snorted.
"Inspiry-wiry guy?! " he repeated.
"I TRIED!!" Himiko exclaimed.
"Try again," Kokichi said.
"Uggghhhh...Kokichiiiiii!!!" Himiko groaned.
"Hey, you made me speak with a French accent and speak French," Kokichi pointed out. "I won't be satisfied until you flirt me up."
"Nyeh!!" Himiko grunted in annoyance.
"Sorry. I won't accept 'nyeh' for an answer, either," Kokichi joked.
"Shut up!" Himiko said, shoving Kokichi's head. Then, she sighed. "Did you fall when you tripped, because you're an angel," she mumbled. Kokichi burst into laughter again.
"That is not how that pick-up line goes!!" he exclaimed.
"Kokichi, I have to pee," Himiko mumbled.
"Go pee, then!"
"Well, I don't wanna leave you here by yourself!" Himiko said.
"Welp, I guess you're gonna have to stay here, then," Kokichi said with a smug grin.
"Kokichiiiiii!!" Himiko whined. Kokichi crossed his arms.
"I'm not leaving this spot until you flirt with me," he said. Himiko nuzzled her nose in desperation against his.
"Nyeh...I love you," she said. "Did it work?"
"Nuh-uh," Kokichi shook his head. Himiko began rocking back and forth.
"Kokichi...I really have to pee," she pleaded as beads of sweat rushed down her forehead.
"Go pee, then, Himiko!" Kokichi said. "You don't need me to go with you."
"I-I can't..." Himiko said. "I don't wanna leave you here by yourself." Kokichi shrugged.
"I'll be fine," he said.
"What if you get mugged, or something while I'm gone?!" Himiko cried.
"What would you do even if you were here to see me get mugged?" Kokichi asked, raising a brow.
"Nyeh...I would rescue you," Himiko said. Kokichi raised his eyebrows.
"Aww...you'd risk your life for me, HimiCocoa Bean?" he said. Himiko wrapped her arms around Kokichi's neck.
"Nyeh...if it'll make you keep being French for me, then, yes," she said. Then, she gave him a coy smile. "Because I love it when you speak French," she said in a horrible French accent. Kokichi grinned in amusement.
"You love it when I speak French, eh?" he murmured in a French accent, as well, pressing her forehead against hers.
"Oui, oui," Himiko replied, continuing her bad French accent. "And speaking of which, will you please take me home before my oui, oui turns into...wee-wee? " Kokichi laughed in response, then smiled affectionately at her.
"Bien sûr, ma petite sorcière chérie," he replied, kissing the back of her hand. Himiko squealed with joy at Kokichi speaking French again.
"Nyeh...I don't know what that means, but did I succeed in flirting you up?" she asked, dropping the accent.
"It'll do for now," Kokichi said, booping Himiko's nose. "C'mon." He helped Himiko up. Wrapping his arm around her waist, they began walking home together. Kokichi smirked at her. "'Before my oui, oui turns into wee-wee...'" he muttered, shaking his head. Himiko blushed and smiled. "You're such a dweeb, Monkey Buns," Kokichi murmured, then gave her a kiss.

2024.05.20 18:14 Yes-Reddit Adderall XR & caffeine

I can’t tolerate ANY caffeine (makes me dizzy, even a tiny sip) but the exception is if I’ve had my Adderall XR- then I can consume a little without issues. (My Rx is for 5mg)
Any ideas as to why?

2024.05.20 17:13 Airborne_SL83 Medication Management of ADD with Anxiety.

Patient has taken the following medications with varying effects:
  1. Vyvanse - lower doses made "brain quite". Was overall happy with improved focus and improved family interactions. However, Vyvanse caused him to intermittent pressure in head at peak of dose, and muscle pain and cramps.
  2. Ritalin - was not able to think clearly. Would lose track of thought. Patient stopped tacking after one week.
  3. Wellbutrin - Was prescribed earlier for smoking cessation. Patient reported depressed feelings, loss of emotions, and extreme hyper focus.
  4. Atomoxetine - was prescribed in conjunction with Adderall. Patient reported increased energy, overall better sense of well being, but lack of productive focus. Ultimately, patient reported his "brain froze" and he stopped taking the medication. Patient also had troubling sexual side effects.
  5. Adderall - Patient prefers Vyvanse do to clarity of thoughts, but Adderall has worked the best with least side effects. Patient reports Adderall makes him more focused, less depressed, and removes most of his anxiety. Recently, patient's does was increased from 30mg daily to 35 mg daily. Patient has been experiencing more side effects with Adderall noting he has been experiencing cold sensations in his extremities, is less focused, and more disorganized. Patient is taking 25mg XR and 10mg IR. Patient states he was struggling with focusing at work and took his afternoon booster early. Afterwards, patient was slightly euphoric and sweaty, but was able to perform well at work, stay on task, and later multi-task with getting kids ready for an event. Patient states for Adderall to really work, he has to be a little euphoric and sweaty.
  6. Buspar - It was recently determined patient may have GAD. Buspar 10mg was added to regimen. Patient reports Buspar helps with feeling overwhelmed and "quiets brain" but removes all focus/motivation to get anything done.
  7. Caffeine - coffee, soft drings, etc. Patient reports sometimes they make him more cold and depressed when taken with medication, and sometimes they make him sweaty, and slightly more energized.
Question:
Why does Patient report Adderall works when he is sweaty? What is this indicative of? Moreover, is using Adderall in this manner to control both add and anxiety symptoms a workable long-term solution. Patient is working in a professional field and is open to the notion of tolerance breaks, but would need schedule time off to do so.

2024.05.20 16:53 pyus_pyxidis Link between Adderall and PD? Anyone else?

I started taking Adderall in Oct 2020 and got PD a few weeks later. I asked my doctor about it, and he said there’s not link between Adderall or stimulants affecting the occurrence of PD. Fast forward to this year: I started taking my Adderall more frequently (5 out of 7 days a week) in Feb, and BOOM, my PD came back in full force. I went to a derm and he prescribed me 100mg doxycycline 2x a day for two months. I just finished my last dosage a few days ago and was still taking my Adderall, and the PD came back.
Has anyone else who takes Adderall or Adderall XR noticed a link between the meds and PD or PD flare ups? I feel like I can’t get a handle on this.
