Hi! I hope this is okay to ask here. I have my first NHS interview this Friday for an Advanced Clinical Support Worker (ACSW) role within a CMHT, and was wondering if anyone had any advice for it?
I am searching online for possible questions, prepping an introduction and making sure I am fully familiarised with both the NHS values and the trust values that I can weave in and out of my answers, but is their anything else I could be doing or does anyone have any specific ACSW tips?
A bit off topic but also related to my interview - I simply cannot find my GCSE transcripts that provide evidence of my grades and the job role asks for grades C/4 above in Maths and English. I achieved these but cannot find the paperwork at my parents' anywhere!! I do have my A-Level results and certificates where I got A's in Psychology and English etc where I needed at least a C to get onto the course and have just finished my psychology degree - however I have not received my grades back for this yet. I am on track for a 2:1/ possibly a 1st and have printed out my first and second year transcripts for this. Will me not having my GCSE scripts cause me to not get a job offer if I have evidence of better grades at a higher level? I am in the midst of finding out which exam boards were used and will order new transcripts but this can take 6-7 weeks in total which will obviously be too late for this interview. What are the chances of them being understanding and accepting my A-Levels and my first two years of uni results (the role doesn't require a degree and they are aware I will not be getting my degree classification until June anyway).

Hello everyone! I am currently in 11th grade, and I started suddenly feeling like I need to do something my life as soon as possible. I'll give you all some background info. I have a smallish friend group here (2-3 friends in one group and 2-3 friends in another group, they sometimes merge but have overall different interests.)
So with the 2nd group I am able to connect with much less (different interests, different lives makes things much harder here, etc.), and I can talk a lot more with the people in the 1st group. In the first group one of my friends I had since 9th grade, his probably who I would call the closest to myself, yet I never managed to get really close to him since he just doesn't care about anything else other than his videogames. The other person became closer and closer to me in the last year in that group, and it is a lot easier to open up to him but his still relatively new to me and he has a few quirks aswell but I am feeling like he might turn into my "best friend" sooner or later.
! So I am just chilling, right? Well not entirely. In late april a lot of really deep thoughts came to my head. One of my classmates was extremely scared of giving a presentation, so I wanted to cheer her up, help her calm down because thats just my nature. I want to help everyone I can if I don't have to sacrifice anything for that. I want to spread as much positivity as I can. But I just wasn't able to do it. She wasn't in any of my friend groups, she is a fairly extroverted person and she's in a much larger friend group with the more extroverted people. Since she's more like an aquintance to me I didn't have many social connections with her and my social anxiety just completely stopped me from saying anything.
! That day it felt like my heart and brain collided. Suddenly I felt an undescribeable desire to break free of my social anxiety. I realized how if I wasn't able to do this small little nice thing to a person I have known for 3 years, I won't be able to do any social interactions later when I'll be an adult. I want to have a family and friends who can support me later on in life like many of us, but like this I'll be sitting home alone staring at a screen programming and earning money, but for what?
Since then no day has been the same. I keep thinking about her and this entire situation every single day and my entire emotional state became a rollercoaster. I knew things weren't great in that regrad, but this bad? Obviously I started having a bunch of deep thoughs after this especially when I hear her and her friends talk so openly about anything. It feels like I am missing something yet I can't explain what exactly I am feeling like I am missing.
Am I supposed to be like this? Am I doing something wrong? It's easy to think the kid with a GPA of 4.9 who is extremely interested in sciences, logic and programming has no problems and will succeed in life. I won't say I won't succeed. But I certainly do have as many problems as others this age, just extremely different ones. This is a situation I am not familiar with, my analitical skills won't be much of help with social anxiety (they actually make it worse, I overthink EVERYTHING, I mean EVERYTHING.) and my problem solving skills are giving me mixed signals because of the uncertainty of how other people might behave around me. (Things I don't have control over.)
! One thing is clear. I have 3 paths I can take. 1.: Do absolutely nothing and try to forget this thing happen. 2.: Try to fix my social anxiety alone by engaging in converstations with more people (basically forcing myself to talk more kinda) 3.: Try to fix my social anxiety by telling ALL of this to that girl and ask her to talk with me more and try to help me climb out of this garbage.
Now the 1st one seems like the easiest choice but long term effects are unknown to me currently.
2nd one just simply has a huge chance of failure because I am basically fighting an uphill battle there
3rd one is the one that my heart tells me would work the best, but its also by far the scariest because no matter what, I just can't "calculate" what will happen after I do that. There is no way for me to just magically predict how that girl will behave after I tell her all of this, especially since I don't know her that well.
She certainly has the power to change my life currently, since this is obviously a very emphatetic story and my heart tells me pretty much anyone would appreciate such openness, especially a person who is naturally open, but you never know what might happen and what they might do.
She looks pretty genuine and as far as I can see she is just naturally open and her heart is in the right place, but this is placed on some assumptions aswell other than the converstations I had with her in the last 3 years since there was just not enough to tell for sure.
By choosing option 3 I am basically giving my fate into the hands of someone who I barely know. My social anxiety is based on trust issues (I don't even trust my best friends most of the time) so if this goes well it'd probably erase my social anxiety or weaken it severely, but if it goes south It might lead to multiple years of therapy due to how much power I would be giving her over myself by being this open and by basically doing an all in bid against social anxiety and trust issues as a whole.
Not to mention how it feels weird as a guy to ask a girl to "talk with me more" even if I have good intentions, like wth.
If it helps I'll also provide a tiny bit of info about her: She stresses a lot before major exams or presentations and she has a big problem with that, to which I could potentionally give her comfort after she helps me with my garbage, but that doesn't really change much in the outcome from my perspective, it would just feel great to return the favor.
Another important thing to consider here might be how I will feel after things go well. She and her friends might go overdrive and put me into an uncomfortable situation by talking with me too much too quickly and basically forcing me out of my comfort zone instantly instead of gradually.
I am honestly not sure what would be the right choice. Option 3 has the potential to fix my life and also the potentional to ruin my next 2 years. Option 2 seems to be just losing. And option 1 seems to be just sadness. I don't think I've ever felt this clueless in my life before.
Finally, I would like to ask you all about what I should do. If you leave a comment here, please also tell me what you are (high school student (introvert/extrovert !Might be important here!)/ therapist / parent / whatever etc.) so I can better evaluate what different people think of this sitation

Originally I entered the school which for obvious reasons I am not going to name with good intentions. It was the gateway to a successful life and I studied hard and did well in this challenging school all first semester. But alas I folded. With my foreign language’s class grade dropping rather suddenly I looked for a way to cheat on our tests and quizzes which are daily. Quite easily I found that our software used to take tests had quite a few flaws. My original discovery which by now has gone rampant through my school was bringing in text through the clipboard. although the win + v shortcut was disabled if you take the keyboard off our computers that were school provided the on screen keyboard supplied a button to access it. I then found a way to screen record in our testing software using some custom html code that I wrote. I shared this with a notorious cheater in our school and we agreed to team up. I then over the next couple of weeks began to make a crew of kids that I was friends with all with the goal of cheating. We would record 1st period in classes and then scramble to make it into a clipboard to use on the quiz/test clipboard worked for the majority of our third quarter but it became somewhat rampant in our school and eventually everyone knew about it. I decided clipboard what not safe to use anymore and shortly after that a kid was caught using it. After that there was a kind of in between period where clipboard was able to be used in other classes just not the formerly mentioned foreign language class. I decided I was going to go all in. I needed to make something that could bypass this software. I started by gaining a local admin account on my school computer by using the commonly known “utilman” trick. Then in the following weeks I developed an injection program that was able to bypass the software. It allowed the user to switch windows with a specific hotkey. Now this group had been perfected or atleast I thought it had. We would record, make a doc with all the answers, and then cheat using the method I just mentioned. I do not know how but people began talking about recording and even though they did not know how it works it worried me. I began to search for other ways incase this was ever found out. I then made a modified version of a Remote Desktop software that was able to be used during the tests. Now someone else is able to take one of my friends’ quizzes and ace it for them. This is where this story currently ends. We are talking about cheating on exams which is a pretty difficult task as they are very heavily proctored.

So, Kels here, decided one day that she was too busy to participate in her child’s education. She, believing she can do no wrong, made a quick little TikTok. Just a little rant about why she is WAY more important than her child’s 1st grade teacher realizes and how dare the teacher try to keep tabs on her by asking her to check her child’s homework folder!
The problem was, Kels asked for opinions. Specifically, opinions of people whose (see, that’s how you use that word) children are in public (not PUBIC) school.
But she didn’t really want opinions. Because when they started flooding in, she was perplexed 🤔 how can so many people disagree with what I’m saying, she asked herself!
The backpedal began immediately. See, our good friend Kels is in an mlm, a dying one. The money is drying up and they (meaning most Pruvit reps) are scrambling to find new recruits. They don’t make much money selling the product , so they need warm bodies to fill out the downline. Jessie Lee used to do this for them, but she passed away and now they are on their own.
So the backpedal started with a rage filled, expletive riddled follow up video, this time aimed specifically at insulting and demoralizing teachers. But, she quickly realized that wasn’t going to make her money, so she deleted and replaced with an “apology” video. Straight out of the Rachel Hollis apology seminar which Kels probably paid $500 to attend (that’s just a joke 🤪 but the apology was also a joke.)
She thought things would just die down, but they haven’t. She’s made it worse and worse by continuing to post. And she needs to post because she is desperate for money and recruits.
Her first angle was to go for unschooling moms. When she realized what an embarrassment she was making of herself with her complete lack of awareness around her own abilities, she switched tactics.
Now, her grift is aimed squarely at homeschool families - moms in particular. So much for unschooling, I guess!
She’s making these touchy feely, strange background music with text videos where she plays a role. The role is “I’m just a hardworking mom trying to homeschool my babies and the bullies on the internet are making fun of me 😢. Come to my rescue homeschool moms! Let me fan the flames by posting stuff about mass shootings and the dangers of public school.”
And, I have to say, it’s getting to some of the homeschool people. They are actually showing up in her comments because they think, based on how she’s presenting her videos, that she’s being bullied. When, in reality, she started all of this. She’s the bully going after people bringing up solid points in her comment section. And blocking anybody who stands in her way!
That’s the current target for her con - Hey, hey! You homeschool and so do I!! Let’s be friends! Join my team! Be sure to buy the most expensive package of ketones and pay the $1000 ketone coach fee, or I won’t help you at all! And when you inevitably fail, I’ll blame you for not working hard enough!!

Anyway, that’s why we’re here folks! To continue to call out the scam when we can. Because if even one homeschooling mother gets roped into Pruvit because of this nonsense, that’s one too many.

I am an attorney in my 30s who lives in the United States. I own a law firm and am "successful" by most societal standards. The problem is that OCD, especially scrupulosity, is ruining my life and ability to practice law.
I can remember since the age of around 6 years old having OCD symptoms. Yet, they were typically mild/moderate and I was usually able to deal with them. I didn't really know what they were at the time, my family and friends largely just thought I was quirky. I've had themes related to checking, contamination, hyper-responsibility, and yes- scrupulosity. I grew up in a very Christian environment and went to a Christian school from 1st-12th grade. I used to be very religious, but not so much any longer. I am still open to the idea of God and Christianity, but am just questioning.
The challenge is that my OCD/Scrupulosity has taken a turn for the worse recently. I can barely function any longer. I am convinced that God hates me and is out to hurt me at every step of the way. If I am not 100% entirely truthful with my life (including practicing law- which is impossible to do), then I am convinced that God will hurt me if I don't "fix" whatever shortcoming/lie I did. As you can imagine, practicing law is all about gray areas and advocating for your client's position, which means bending the story/facts all the time. Yet recently, I cannot stop fixating on wrongs of my past, which are mostly minoinconsequential things that a non-OCD person would not think twice about, and at times I am paralyzed to make decisions on cases.
Added to this difficulty is the confirmation bias everywhere. If I am stuck in an OCD scrupulosity thought loop/episode, I'll tend to see number sequences/consecutive numbers and my brain will be CONVINCED that God is telling me that I'm terrible, in danger, and BETTER fix this "issue" or else utter calamity or damnation will occur. It is driving me mad and I can never rest. This plagues me almost every waking hour and puts my anxiety easily above a 7 or 8 out of 10. I have been having a lot of ideations lately as this is just not sustainable. I just started to try meds and am deeply hoping they provide relief. I feel like I can barely go on any longer.
It's crazy because one side of my brain can see all the good things that have happened in my life, and I acknowledge that I have it better than many struggling Americans in this tough economy, yet at the same time I feel like my life is over and I'm always going to feel like this. I just want permission to live and enjoy my days.

I have a group of friends na eventually palaging hindi na pumapasok sa kahit anong subjects namin. We have 8 members sa group of friends namin. 3 yung palaging hindi pumapasok sa amin partida pa naka dorm pa sila. 3 din kaming pumapasok consistently, yung 2 sa amin is malayo yung bahay and also babae kami lahat.
1st sem hindi sila ganon pero nung kalagitnaan na ng 1st sem napapansin ko ang tatamad na nila, mahilig na sila mag-clutch, nagtuturuan sila kung sino yung gagawa nito. Parang nagiging pabigat na sila sa grupo. 2nd sem na, ayun naglalabasan na ng true colors, partida hindi na kami block section kaya kami group of friends lang talaga naka-stick sa lahat ng courses. Ang dahilan nila bakit hindi pumapasok. Tinatamad, wala naman daw gagawin sa subject na yun at hindi naman nag check ng attendance yung prof. Malalaman ko pa sa gc namin na gising na si ganito habang nag video call sa jowa niya sa sa dorm sa time ng umabsent siya.
Ang ending yung 3 hindi pumapasok magtatanong palagi sa gc na ano daw yung mga topics na diniscuss, may quiz ba daw sa ganitong araw, ano daw mga fa na ipinagawa etc. Minsan kapag awang awa na ako sa kanila or nasa mood ako maging mabait dahil kaibigan ko naman sila sinasabi ko kung ano mga gagawin next meeting at yung FA na kailangan ipasa next meeting onsite. Pero diba responsibilidad mong pumasok para malaman yun? Hindi na kayo bata para i-remind sa ganitan attitude niyo. Palagi silang kumakapit sa amin pero nung nanghingi lang ako ng favor sa isa sa kanila, hindi man lang mabigay super simple lang nun ate.
Ang unfair lang kasi minsan sila pa yung mas mataas yung letter grade. Yes, alam ko naman na may individual grading pero ang unfair for me na consistenly present ta's ganoon lang scores tapos sila hihilata lang sa kama buong time na class na hindi nila pinasukan at magtatanong ano mga gagawin sa subjects na yun. One time din, before mag monday ina-nounce na may quiz sa thursday at 3 kami lang pumasok sa amin group of friends that day. Kaya ako todo kinig naman sa discussion, at talagang na-gets ko siya. Before kasi kapag nandiyan sila wala talaga ako na-gets sa lesson stats pero nung wala sila gurl grabe parang doon ko na-realized na hindi pala ganoon ka-hirap stats lalo na yung prof namin is ineexplain talaga detailed yung lesson. Kaya na-motivate ako mag-review, as in inintindi ko from the top lahat sa bahay. Eto na thursday quiz na, pumasok yung 2 pala-absent kasi alam nilang may quiz e, yung isa hindi na pumasok. Habang nag quiz kami, etong isa tinitignan niya yung sagot ko ako naman na todo takip kasi pinaghirapan ko yun tas ikaw parang ganon mo lang makukuha? Wala siyang nakuha sa akin kaya nangopya siya sa harapan namin. Grabe mas mataas pa lamang niya sa amin na nag review.
Sinusubukan ko hindi mahawa sa mga ugali nilang ganon pero alam kong hindi ko ma-control yung subsconciously behaviour ko kaya siguro ang solution is change na ako ng group of friends next sem. The first is 11:216:251, Fundamentals of Evolution. This is the 200-level evolution course, and it's a prereq for a bunch of other courses in Ecology and Evolution. It runs for four weeks, four days per week (Monday to Thursday), May 28th to June 20th (no class on May 27th, Memorial Day), in person in Hickman Hall from 10am to, officially, 12:55pm, but we'll finish early almost every day. The second is 11:261:110, Evolution, Disease, and Medicine. It's an introduction to evolutionary biology in the context of human health, and it's designed for non-majors. This course is online via Zoom, synchronous, for four weeks, four days per week (Monday to Thursday) from July 8th to August 1st, 11am to 1:45pm, but again, we'll finish early most days. This is a great course if you need to complete a science requirement, aren't sure if you are interested in biology, or just need three credits. It's mostly discussion-based, and participation is a huge part of your grade. And if you aren't super familiar with biology, you will learn about some very cool and very weird things.

After examinations on Voynich manuscript, mapping letters and going through some algorithmic omissions I could see Arabic and Persian words often creating phrases related to plants. Sentences were short and following Persian grammar. One example is "Dar Amad Samari", here we have a compound verb from infinitive "Dar Amadan" and in third Person singular past tense = Dar Amad = has grown. Samar means Fruit, and Samari = one Fruit. So the sentence means like "A fruit has grown".
My question is how can we define it as a language if it's constructed with coded words and overall content is not as fluent as a writing in the normal Persian literature? 🤔
