Hi everyone,
I have a problem, and I would be thankfull to recieve some suggestions what to do and if anyone could help with some part numbers / drawings.
The story goes like this.. I bought a brand new Mercury Verado 300 from Germany last month. As I am from Croatia I hired a delivery company to deliver it directly to the local Mercury service in my city.
The packages came about 10 days ago, and the guy from Mercury opened the boxes and told us initially that everything is there.
Worth of mentioning that the invoice and delivery (dispatch) note were missing when we opened the package. We eventually recieved the invoice online from the German company, but never the delivery note.
When guys from Mercury started mounting the outboard and the whole installation yesterday, they told me that 3 things are eventually missing:
The guy from Germany is very very unproffesional and rude from the beginning acting as I bought a toy worth €10, not an outboard worth more than €30k. He just told me that he sent everything and that he is done with a deal. He also stated that I should have collected the packages on my own to be sure everything is there. On my question where is the delivery note, he replied that they don't send that to their costumers (WTF?). In the big box were 30 smaller packages with cables, devices, components, etc. I never recieved a bigger box that contains more than one item without a delivery note inside the big box.
On the other hand Mercury service is telling me that the cables were not recieved, but I not sure if I can trust them neither. They figured that out after initially stating that everything is there, and told me that those two cables cost additionally €350 and they have to come again on the boat for extra cost of course.
Please help me!
P.S. I would like to publicly address Menken BootsCenter company from Gersthofen (Augsburg) and its representative Michael Menken as highly unprofessional and unreliable. Their customer support is non-existent, and their after-sales support rates a negative ten. They show no interest in resolving issues, respond very slowly, and display extremely arrogant behavior from the start.

The story goes like this.. I bought a brand new Mercury Verado 300 from Germany last month. As I am from Croatia I hired a delivery company to deliver it directly to the local Mercury service in my city.
The packages came about 10 days ago, and the guy from Mercury opened the boxes and told us initially that everything is there.
Worth of mentioning that the invoice and delivery (dispatch) note were missing when we opened the package. We eventually recieved the invoice online from the German company, but never the delivery note.
When guys from Mercury started mounting the outboard and the whole installation yesterday, they told me that 3 things are eventually missing:
The guy from Germany is very very unproffesional and rude from the beginning acting as I bought a toy worth €10, not an outboard worth more than €30k. He just told me that he sent everything and that he is done with a deal. He also stated that I should have collected the packages on my own to be sure everything is there. On my question where is the delivery note, he replied that they don't send that to their costumers (WTF?). I am trying to understand how payment order deliveries work in Czechia, and the lawyers themselves do not have much knowledge on how things really turn out in practicality. They are hesitant to explain what really goes on between the court, the debtor, and the postman.
The law states that it should be delivered to the debtor's own hands, and that the order is canceled if it couldn't be delivered. Doesn't it make the whole payment order application pointless and disadvantageous for the creditor? It is designed to speed up the debt recovery process, but it's very easy for the debtor to stall the delivery. It forces the court to cancel the order eventually, and proceed with a traditional court process. You spend a few months to issue an order, a few more months waiting for its delivery, and then you're back to square 1 if the debtor does not willingly open his doors wide open for the mailman. Most people wouldn't even be home during weekdays and working hours. It seems ineffective even with debtors who are willing to cooperate.

I'd like to say, that I have never used a worse product, but I have barely used it. I bought one second hand, it broke after a couple of days. The seller was so kind to do the replacement process for me and I got a new one. I filmed somewhat 10 minutes with it, then did the firmware update which was suggested by the app and it broke. (Wont charge, wont switch on. A proper brick.)
So yea... I cant write a review, because I didnt really get to use it.
Now, that I have all the documentation of the 1st replacement, GoPro is still refusing to replace it because I dont have the original receipt. Man... I have all the replacement documentation and the camera is not even 3 months old. I hope the seller can get me the receipt, but seriously? It's so obvious and backed by documentation that this is all legit.
So the costumer service is beyond repair.
In addition to horrible hardware and customer service, you get software that bombards you with pop-ups about a subscription and is just not that good. VLC provides better editing imo (which is a wild thing to say about a player).
Anyway, avoid it. I will certainly never purchase anything that is even remotely related to GoPro. Make sense that their stock value is at ~20% of IPO.
Maybe their other cameras are better, but this one is horrible horrible horrible.

A couple of months ago I decided to recycle some bottles of soft drink cans that were piled up in the pantry floor. I saw black droppings that looked small (about Coffee ground size) and I didn't think much of it and starting putting them in my backpack to recycle at my nearby recycling center and ride on my motorbike. I then did a couple of trips and got my receipts for returning them (10c per can/bottle) and shoved them in my pocket. It wasn't until the next morning I saw the granules all over my gloves and in my pocket. I've been trying to clean it, I've put my motorbike jacket in the wash and my gloves as well, I've washing my motorbike grips and I'm just freaking out so much over it if I see a black dot on my hand, There were still some in my jacket but it went through the wash. I saw some of the granules smear on my bank card and freaked out yesterday, I can't believe I'm freaking out over this, I just wish I chucked the cans in the bin without getting the 10c refund and not have to deal with this crap. What should I do?

I’ve had 5 total packages that USPS has marked lost and unable to answer anything. Multiple of these packages were also supposed to be delivered on the same day 2&2. I’ve reopened service requests, initiated missing mail searches, filed all the claims and received some refunds. But really I just want my damn packages. Some of the things lost were irreplaceable. I’ve also filed complaints at the Post Office itself.

We at Honor Games (based in Pacific standard time (GMT-8) are searching for a competent lead writer to take on the hands-on details of implementing world building and character backstories of the IP we create. As of now, we have 1 project in active development (vultures), 1 project in preproduction (charge!), and 1 project waiting for proper personnel support (Equation of Humanity).
As a writer myself, I’ve come to understand that I’m more interested and able to do the big picture writing and act as a “show runner.” I’m less interested in IMPLEMENTING the nitty gritty details myself. I’D SAY I’M GOOD AT DOING “THE BROAD BRUSH”, and I’d like to find a writing candidate to train into lead writer, and eventually narrative director for the company.
I have a psychology background, and I act as CEO an executive producer for the company and projects in question. I’ve also acted as lead writer and PR lead in the past. I’m specifically searching for narrative candidates who are able to run with an existing direction, stay within the limits of said direction, yet also synthesize concepts into a holistic picture in potentially novel ways.
We’re looking for a passionate and strong minded individual, a person who can articulate their position and work alongside other department leads. They will be able to act as a core leadership member and back up their perspective logically. They will be able to hold their ground, and lead a writing department that has yet to be staffed. They will be able to write and proof public relations posts as needed. They will be able to take notes for meetings they attend. They will be able to do effective research. Other duties as assigned.

Vultures aims to satirize corporate culture and the manufacturing process. Vultures will keep players engaged, switching between the two simulations to keep either one from becoming stale too quickly.
~Charge!~ is a first-person shooter (FPS) set in the future where there is peace on earth, and this sport is how most people entertain and advance themselves. All weapons are light based. and players will be able to choose different color classes, each with their own unique set of features.
The game is effectively laser tag with mirrors, prisms, and lenses. It can also be thought of as Portal with light-based puzzles.
To advance the first-person shooter (FPS) genre, by adding novel mechanics and unconventional weapons. Returning to the halcyon days of FPS, focusing on deathmatch and the multiplayer experience.
~Equation of Humanity (EoH)~ Is a concept for a real-time strategy (RTS) game in a science fiction setting. Players will take control of one of two armies, building bases, managing resources, and producing and commanding units in order to destroy other players and AI controlled factions on the battlefield. EoH started out as a mod for another RTS game (Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars) named Tiberium Secrets. The mod aimed to add three new armies, each with unique aesthetics and mechanics that separated them both from existing elements within the base game and from each other. Tiberium Secrets had a partial release to good reception, especially considering how old the base game was at the time. However, the limitations of the base game and its license eventually proved insurmountable, and the mod was canceled before a full release. The ASI faction was finalized and shipped, along with minor but fundamental changes to the original factions.
EoH seeks to pick up where Tiberium Secrets left off. Like its predecessor, EoH has plans for three armies with radically different designs. Using the power of the Unreal Engine, EoH will be free of the constraints of a mod and will be commercially available as a standalone product.
The factions come complete with diverse units, structures, mechanics, and lore. Players will take command of a global government faction intent on ensuring the survival of humanity without concern for red tape or ideologies or an artificial intelligence believing itself to be the next evolution of humanity.

I had a colposcopy yesterday and honestly had an extremely traumatizing and painful experience. I feel like a read a lot of threads that made me expect 50/50 for pain. It seems everyone in my friend circle has had one and seemed surprised at how horrible I described my experience.
I went in on 800mg ibuprofen, which I was told to take before hand. I took it an hour before with food. I’ve never had a painful Pap smear until recently. And even then it was just slightly uncomfortable. I’ve had multiple Pap smears and never an issue. When it was described as a longer Pap smear with a pinch, I felt ok to go in.
First of all, I noticed the scope was dirty. I asked them to clean it well in front of me. I’m talking boogies on the knobs like clearly it hasn’t been scrubbed. The NP told me “it doesn’t touch you” which I responded yes but YOU touch me after touching the knobs to adjust them…. I expressed severe anxiety about the procedure which was compared to a bee sting. I was literally a beekeeper. It was not comparable.
The biopsy itself hurt, but then I guess they insert a little brush into the biopsy site to get a good sample of all surrounding cells. When she did this I literally screamed and started panicking. I then would not stop bleeding so an additional 15 mins was spent spread Eagle with a bunch of silver nitrate sticks and pressure trying to get me to clot. They then kinda implied that the ibuprofen was to blame. Like YOU told me to take it!!!!
I cried the entire time. I asked for water and needed a moment before leaving to gather myself. Post biopsy I’ve had the expected coffee grounds and gross discharge. I’ve had very mild cramping.
I just feel kinda fucked up. Like am I dramatic? I have 20 tattoos, fractured my ankle and walked on it, etc. I genuinely feel like this was a procedure that should’ve had SOMETHING for analgesia. How tf was I not put out for that???? At one point she said I was a moving target. I feel confident than a benzo beforehand and something for pain would’ve made that process 1000% easier for both parties.
Anyone else?

Without the capitalist, the worker would likely not have a job or be much less productive than they are.
What made our modern economy so productive was the division of labor. Not every worker can be a CEO, CFO or marketing specialist. This is not just question of education and intelligence. An engineer might be highly capable in their chosen field but a terrible manager and/or business strategist.
Not every worker wants be exposed to the ups and downs of business cycles or risk their savings in a business venture. Not everyone has capital or savings.
If it was so easy to run a company everyone would do it and good CEO's would be a dime a dozen. This is contradicted by the fact that CEOs are highly paid. If capitalists are greedy they would pay CEOs minimum wages because if everyone can be a CEO you could put a random person in charge and pay them a low salary. In reality few people are willing and capable enough to be a CEO.
This is a because running and creating a company isn't easy and requires an unique skillset which many workers don't have.
That's why we have never seen a successful worker run economy and that's why economies that attempted to eliminate the capitalist did poorly over the long run.
Clearly the solution to a better society isn't to eliminate the capitalist but to create a framework in which the capitalists work for us and themselves. Socialism can't provide that framework as it is characterized by irrational hatred of potential capital accumulators. As we have seen the bureaucrat can't replace them and if they are given power they become at least as evil as the capitalist.

I've ordered a Dell U4025QW, but where I live (Sweden) it keeps getting delayed and the retailer is currently unable to give me a delivery date. It's not in stock with any other retailer either. If I order it directly from Dell, the delivery date is set to late July.
So it seems I might have to either wait potentially 1-2 months (which is doable, but not enjoyable), or find another monitor to get. My current monitor is fully functional. It's an old 34UC99-W but I want better connectivity and better gaming support.
I did a ton of research before ordering U4025QW and I'm not aware of any other monitor which matches my needs as well as it does:
Especially the 38WR85QC-W seems really close to the Dell except it doesn't have WUHD so I won't get as nice pixel density. On the other hand, the native resolution is higher with a lower density, so I get more screen real-estate, right? Compared to the screen I have today at least. LG 38WR85QC-W is also half the price of the Dell right now (which it wasn't when I ordered the Dell).

Especially the 38WR85QC-W seems really close to the Dell except it doesn't have WUHD so I won't get as nice pixel density. On the other hand, the native resolution is higher with a lower density, so I get more screen real-estate, right? Compared to the screen I have today at least. LG 38WR85QC-W is also half the price of the Dell right now (which it wasn't when I ordered the Dell).
