1 - $100M a year self cooling bedsheet brand

When I tell you self cooling bedsheets had the highest revenue I’ve seen of any ecom store I am not exaggerating. It was f*cking baffling how much money these mfs were making by selling self cooling bedsheets.
The craziest part is that they did it all thru paid ads. I was stunned looking at the backend of the Shopify account and seeing these numbers. The reason a product like self cool bedsheets works so well is because of a few things:
A) Broad TAM (total addressable market) This means they can sell to a broader range of people. The more people you can sell to for e com the better.
Their AOV (average order value) was $110 as well. So not only are they targeting a broad audience, but they have really good margins
I think another reason why this product / brand is doing so well is because of timing as well. They exited in 2018, but really blew up during 2020 when everyone was home.
F it I’ll name drop. They’re called Miracle brand. Go study their LP and ads. Their LP is really high converting like 5-7%. Their offer is amazing (3 free towels with your bedsheets) and the CRO is fully optimized.

2 - subscription based Digital Assets

This one is really good, but super niche. The company basically sells digital editing assets that go with editing software like Davinci, IMovie, and whatever other editing softwares there are
They have 100% profit margins on the product and they offer a subscription. Their AOV is $60 per month and people actually subscribe because they know that these digital assets are really really good and it will save them time when editing. They were doing $2-$3M per year in revenue on a 100% margin product which is now offered as a subscription. I believe the overall margins on the business was like 70-80% they had low overhead.
These mfs are absolutely PRINTING. It’s not easy to make really good digital editing assets either so it’s hard to replicate. The #1 thing when buying or selling a business is margins. Their business if an easily be sold for 7-9x because of big margins, big AOV, and the MRR (monthly recurring revenue). On average businesses sell for 3-6x in the DTC (direct to consumer) e commerce space, but when you add a subscription model and it’s a digital product, you double the valuation of your company
Like I said, I am just sharing business models I’ve seen that were absolutely amazing!

3 - Sticker company

This one I think surprised me the most. These guys were selling a subscription for you to get a pack of custom anime stickers every single month.
Yup, you get high quality anime stickers every single month. This business wasn’t doing $1M but they did take in 6-figs. The reason this model is smart is because the margins are really good. It only costs like $0.50 USD to make a full pack of these custom stickers and you add $3-$4 for shipping. Their AOV was like $25-$30.
I think this business worked well because it caters to a strong fan base of people who love anime. Personally I like avatar and one piece but there’s a lot of anime super fans who would love to subscribe to a sticker club that sends you a custom pack of cool stickers of your favorite anime. Not sure how the legal side of it worked.

Hi everyone.
Quick background to provide context:
I am a mature age mid 50's. I was medically retired 13 years ago and finding it getting tough financially. Living in Australia is getting tougher and tougher and I reside with my elderly mother for months at a time, otherwise I would be homeless as rent is too much. I spend a good time overseas and prefer a lifestyle as an expat where my money goes much further. I will end up permanently abroad at some stage. I therefore want a purely digital nomad style lifestyle with online work providing me income.
Masters of Counselling:
I have an undergraduate degree that is not relevant to entering directly into a Masters of Counselling degree, which is an area of study I feel that I would be interested in. My past career was in law enforcement, mainly in the field of detectives. Course advisors have assured me that I could enter a Masters by first completing a post grad certificate of counselling and some do not require this.
I have considered this course as I have always had quite a lot of empathy towards people, like listening to them, and also have an interest in psychology. I have dealt with many situations in my past career whereby I have dealt with victims of crime as well as offenders, where, despite having to be the one to prosecute them, I was able to listen to them, elicit information from them, and sometimes be the one to talk to them about the direction in their lives. I have also become a consumer of the mental health system for several years as I suffered due to my psychological injuries that led to my retirement. So, in a strange way, perhaps I have a potential to be a counsellor.
I spend majority of time overseas and only a few months back in Australia (where I am quite dedicated in a carer role for my mother), so dedicated face-to-face, on campus study is out of the question.
I have looked at the following institutions:
AIPC - offer a Masters of Counselling over two years full time and the physical attendance components of the course can be done at the end and back to back, allowing me to do the vast portion online without the need to keep flying back and forth at great expense. You will receive qualification for registration with ACA
APAC - they offer a Masters of Counselling over two years as well. Physical attendance is in 2nd year over two course apparently requiring 2 days a week for 16 x weeks as well as a 3 day workshop. You will receive qualification for registration with ACA
APAC also offer a Masters of Counselling and Psychotherapy over 2 years as well. This is a preferred degree as it qualifies you for registration with PACFA. The confusing part of this is that on their website, the course appears to be only on campus and requires fulltime attendance.
I was referred by APAC via an email to watch a YouTube video of their counselling courses. In that video, they do not mention the Masters of Counselling, rather they only mention the Counselling and Psychotherapy Masters. The video appears to allude it to being possibly an online course with a practical component that is not per subject. I could not keep returning per subject. I am confused as it seems a bend of both masters courses and I will need to clarify the differences between the website course structure compared to the video I was referred to.
Edith Cowan University - offers a Masters of Counselling and a Masters of Counselling and Psychotherapy too. The Masters of Counselling is available online. The other degree seems to be campus only. The qualifications for both seem to be either ACA or PACFA.
I am not sure which institution to choose, if I embark on this journey of completing a Masters Degree. I am not young and I will be close to 60 years of age if I finished it.
I need to know: what institution would those that have studies, graduated, enquired at those institutions, would you choose in my shoes?
Also, is it a realistic and viable career choice to offer counselling services online via either a private practice online setup or via employers providing work to counsellors? I have read jobs offered online and it seem that experience is a must. Employers also want those who have spent time doing face-to-face counselling work.
I have read forums of graduates (mainly of Diploma graduates) who have struggled to find work. It also seems not easy to start off with a private online practice. I do not have copywriting, webpage, business or marketing experience. And these skills seem to be important for those wanting to kick off a private practice. The main hurdle I envisage is finding, acquiring clients and keeping them.
The fact that counselling services cannot be claimed with Medicare is also a big drawback. I recall in my times when I needed help, I sought psychiatrists (for meds mainly) and psychologists for counselling and therapy. I only once used a counsellor who was also a registered psychologist. The main reason was Medicare rebate as I was struggling financially.
I see that online counselling would suit clients in remote areas and for those who do not want to be face-to-face with others.
Is the market saturated with counsellors? Am I doing the right thing gong ahead with this? I need a way to make money online. I can see it is possible with counselling. I know there are people who have strong opinions against online counselling. I also know that there are counsellors doing online work (as per their forum comments).

This is my first time posting here, so apologies if I mess something up.
My fiancé (27M) and I (27F) have been together since 2020. We both have significant mental health struggles. I've been diagnosed with CPTSD, BPD, anxiety, and depression, and he's been diagnosed with severe anxiety and is exploring a CPTSD diagnosis as well. Our childhood traumas have impacted us differently: I tend to people-please and fawn, while he is very avoidant. This has made our relationship quite anxiety-driven.
In March, I moved cross-country to join him after we did long-distance for six months. Before that, we lived together for six months. He proposed just before he moved, and I joined him six months later.
He's always been private with his devices, possibly because of his job. One day, I decided to look at his phone and found out he's been cheating on me online for over a year.
We've been in couples therapy and have had about 5-6 sessions so far. After every session, our therapist mentions how interesting we are as a couple and even joked about writing a book on us. While this makes me laugh in the moment, I can't help but wonder what she means by that.
I have a very shaky sense of self and identity and struggle to trust my decisions. I don't know if our therapist thinks our relationship dynamic is healthy or not, and I'm not sure how to ask her. I feel stuck and lost. Should I stay and try to work things out, or should I move on?
I would really appreciate any thoughts or advice on my situation.

Hello all, coming here today primarily to try and help raise awareness, here, and hopefully in any other relevant communities regarding a partnered Twitch streamer who has been documented as systematically abusing women on the platform, and, as we've subsequently found out, potentially grooming minors through his private discord channel.
Attatched is a link to an file extensively doccumenting the individuals previous court case, admissions of conviction regarding their possession of indecent imagery of minors, and a series of falsified claims they have delivered publicly, in an attempt to retain the access they have to vulnerable people and minors on the platform.
Despite this, the individual remains active and surrounded by minors, who are unnaware that they are spending time with someone who is likely a child predator, and has, themselves, confessed to being convicted as one, multiple times.
We are not looking to doxx this individual, and the police and lawyers have been contacted regarding legal concerns. Currently, I am looking for advice on how best to ensure this information is easily accessible to those in the Twitch / The Last Of Us communities online, especially if they are young, vulnerable or impressionable.
Some of the information and screenshots within this document are truly harrowing, and may be triggering for some people. Any help outwith emailing Twitch, and contacting the police regarding our concerns would be greatly appreciated. As the users behaviour becomes more and more eratic, and we await Twitch and Discord taking action on the matter, our primary goal is to make attempts to assure the safety of any would be victims.

Two policemen supposedly deployed to Zamboanga who were instead serving as bodyguards to a Chinese national were arrested after an altercation inside an exclusive subdivision in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
According to police, the two suspects were members of the Philippine National Police - Special Action Force ( PNP-SAF) who admitted they were working as personal bodyguards of a Chinese national residing in a subdivision in the Ayala Alabang area.
The two cops reportedly got into a heated argument that led to blows, with one of them sustaining wounds on his forehead.
The two men — a police corporal and a patrolman — were detained after being reported to authorities by residents that included Muntinlupa City Mayor Rozzano Rufino “Ruffy” Biazon. The incident was circulated in an online group chat of residents where the mayor is a part of.
“Nagkaroon yata sila ng altercation amongst themselves. Pareho silang empleyado ng naninirahan sa bahay, and then noong nagkatakbuhan, ‘yung isa yata pumasok sa ibang bahay so kaya natakot siyempre ‘yung residente roon,” Biazon said in an exclusive report on GMA’s 24 Oras Weekend on Sunday.
(There may have been an altercation amongst themselves. They are both employees of a resident and one of them may have entered another house which is why the residents became scared.)
The two men are now detained at the Muntinlupa City Police Station.
Biazon also said the local government will seek assistance to verify if the employer of the two policemen is connected to Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGOs).
"Baka related din sa purely illegal activities. 'Yun din ang gusto naming malaman," the mayor said.

“Sa ngayon po ay under investigation sa aming opisina itong dalawang PNP member, so as of now iyon ang aming mako-confirm, and sila ay members ng support unit, support unit po ng PNP,” said Muntinlupa Police Investigation and Detective Management Section chief Police Captain Riza Soledad.

The two individuals did not respond to questions regarding their employment details and what they were doing in Muntinlupa City.
“Waiting for investigation, sir, hindi na lang natin (let’s just wait for it),” one said, while the other said “hindi namin masasabi. Hindi namin masasabi lahat ng information, sir. (We cannot say. We cannot share all the information).”
Police said they received information that the two individuals were ordered by a battalion commander in Zamboanga City, receiving a pay of P40,000, of which P20,000 would go to their battalion. The individuals, however, could not provide documents to support this.
For his part, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) head P/Major General Jose Melencio Nartatez said police members serving for private individuals should first secure the approval of the Chief PNP.
“We have a unit in the Philippine National Police, that is the PNP Security Group, PSPG. In this PSPG, sila ‘yung nagbibigay ng protective custody sa ating mga whether civilian or VIP security wherein itong binibigyan nila ng security, of course, ay mayroong threat in their lives,” he said.

“Sabi ko no cover up, no whitewash, makasuhan ‘yung dapat makasuhan whether criminal case or administrative case on the part of these two PNP personnel," he added.

HOWEVER She’s not out of the closet in that she has never been out as woman. Not gone outside dressed like that. She said she’s comfortable within their (home?) space or indoors ( but they have not gone out for eg for a walk or cafe etc.) maybe one day.

However then i had to travel again for educational reasons for 3 months and i noticed that her sex drive disappeared she stopped sending pics and just overall became so complacent in the relationship and i know that men shouldnt speak this way but i craved sm her compliments however i told myself it will all be good when i am back in egypt. Once i was back for my break it was amazing as usual and she explained how sex was so important to her. Now before anyone says it the chances she is cheating are 0% i am super certain. She has a lot of issues on the mental health side and she deals with depression. When i went back abroad for continuing the studies it was the same as before 0 sex drive and lacking care felt as if the relationship is a chore to her. Now im back for the summer and she decided she doesnt want to have intimacy for religious reasons which i understood and i was ok with only physical contact. But now even that is impossible she doesnt initiate anything and i even feel like she is repulsed by me. First off, yes. I understand there's risks and it's not the practical way of doing things. I have bought and sold multiple vehicles over the years from private sellers, but always in person.
This current situation, there's a bike out of state I had wanted to buy. Messaged and spoke with seller etc. My plans to go when I wanted were ruined due to work. He has other buyers though so I can't expect him to hold it. I asked him if I could pay for it online, then pick it up this following weekend. He agreed. . The obvious risks aside. Does anyone have experience in this or ideas on how to limit as much risk as possible? I feel like my life has been turned upside down.
My fiance has known me a very long time. He knows that I have a history of very bad mental breakdowns, including psychosis, along with suicide attempts. I have also had fake accounts used on me and been doxxed and harassed a lot online in ways that have been proven and shown to others. (These aren't what I'm seeking advice on, but provide context for what he did.)
I am very prone to paranoia after having a lot of crimes and mistreatment against me as a kid and young adult. My fiance knows this. I have suspected before that he might have been involved in some of it, but I was hoping it was just my paranoia talking. My friends agreed with me on that. I couldn't shake my aching suspicion, though.
A little over a year ago, when I was trying to move on from my now-fiance (after he initially rejected me and was with someone else), I got a massive crush on one of my coworkers. I posted on an anonymous forum that I wanted someone to pretend to be my coworker. One of the accounts that added me knew way too much, leading me to think it really was my coworker.
The account told me he'd be moving in with me. I was convinced it was really him. I prepared my whole apartment, but realized the account ghosted me. I got mad at my coworker, but began to have doubts about whether the account was actually him. He said it wasn't. I thought he was gaslighting me, but couldn't prove it.
I had a mental breakdown and quit that job. I couldn't stop obsessing about the situation. I called with my then-fiance about it and he helped calm me down. Later, I made a different post for a different potential online partner to try to distract myself while I set up a another career path.
A guy added me from that post. He was very suspicious from the beginning, but I couldn't tell reality from paranoia. I was pretty sure he was after me and recording me.
Long story short, he made things so much worse. He was also very cruel, like I would have to fight him off of having sex with me once or twice, he yelled at me, and he tried to gaslight me into thinking I committed a crime that I didn't. (The police had to tell me more than once that I didn't do it.)
The abuse piled up. He had the code to my apartment and continued to be aggressive end after I left him. I ended up with a bmi of about 15 and had to move to a different state.
I pressed me fiance about whether he had been behind any of the fake account stuff. He had denied it in messages, but he was now in person, and I felt more comfortable pressing him harder on it. He ended up confessing that he was not only behind the account that tricked me, but behind the private investigator I "dated."
He knew I had a history of psychological problems. He had this private investigator gaslight me continuously about not investigating me or being an agent during the sexual "relationship." He could see me deteriorating from all of this. He exploited my mental weakness for weeks with this private investigator.
Is this a fixable situation? How do we get out of this? This is one of the worst things anyone has ever done to me. I don't think he's remorseful at all. He says I would've ended up in jail or worse had he not "intervened," despite having no evidence for this and him having actively caused and worsened the situation.
TL;DR: Now-fiance admitted to hiring a private investigator to have a sexual relationship with me under false pretenses and continually gaslight me. He feels no remorse and says I should be thanking him. How can we move past this?

The internet is an unimaginably vast repository of modern life, with hundreds of billions of indexed webpages. But even as users across the world rely on the web to access books, images, news articles and other resources, this content sometimes disappears from view.
A new Pew Research Center analysis shows just how fleeting online content actually is:
A quarter of all webpages that existed at one point between 2013 and 2023 are no longer accessible, as of October 2023. In most cases, this is because an individual page was deleted or removed on an otherwise functional website. A line chart showing that 38% of webpages from 2013 are no longer accessible For older content, this trend is even starker. Some 38% of webpages that existed in 2013 are not available today, compared with 8% of pages that existed in 2023. This “digital decay” occurs in many different online spaces. We examined the links that appear on government and news websites, as well as in the “References” section of Wikipedia pages as of spring 2023. This analysis found that:
23% of news webpages contain at least one broken link, as do 21% of webpages from government sites. News sites with a high level of site traffic and those with less are about equally likely to contain broken links. Local-level government webpages (those belonging to city governments) are especially likely to have broken links. 54% of Wikipedia pages contain at least one link in their “References” section that points to a page that no longer exists. To see how digital decay plays out on social media, we also collected a real-time sample of tweets during spring 2023 on the social media platform X (then known as Twitter) and followed them for three months. We found that:
Nearly one-in-five tweets are no longer publicly visible on the site just months after being posted. In 60% of these cases, the account that originally posted the tweet was made private, suspended or deleted entirely. In the other 40%, the account holder deleted the individual tweet, but the account itself still existed. Certain types of tweets tend to go away more often than others. More than 40% of tweets written in Turkish or Arabic are no longer visible on the site within three months of being posted. And tweets from accounts with the default profile settings are especially likely to disappear from public view.

This number is definitely higher the further back you go, but what do you think about this and how concerning it is for online preservation?

I made a post here yesterday seeking advice for my undiagnosed and untreated PE and the issues it has likely been causing me. Thanks to the support from the lovely people on here, I am planning to get the ball rolling and seek medical attention for it.
I am based in England and unfortunately going the private route is financially impossible for me (broke uni student w very little family support).
That leaves me with the NHS as my only option. What concerns me is that there seems to be little info online about treatment options under the NHS, or whether i will be able to access it at all. I guess the first step will be to see my GP.
Any advice or experiences from people who have sought treatment under the NHS would be super appreciated <3

Reflections:
I'm super grateful and happy with my decisions. I have committed to Princeton, and it definitely is the best fit for me. College results this year were very random, but I couldn’t be more thankful to get into the #1 undergraduate university. I was worried that since most of my application was MIT-related (Research, classes, Letters of Rec, Awards, Activities), other universities would think I was going there and reject me. College results were super random and stressful, but it worked out better than I could have ever imagined. It's funny how I got waitlisted and rejected from all my target schools (Vandy, UMich, USC) but then got into most of my reach schools.
Advice for Future Applicants:
Be authentic. There is no formula that gets you in. Sure, you have to do a couple of things like getting good grades and SAT scores and having some unique activities and awards, but especially for Top 10 schools, you just have to be unique and authentic. I didn't have any connections or background (like private school and college counselor) that provided me with opportunities. I was literally the first kid ever from my school to get into Princeton. I was authentic and hardworking, did stuff I enjoyed, and one thing led to another. I also spent a lot of time on essays and my application. 50% of the work is actually doing stuff, and the other 50% is showcasing it in your college application. Also, have balance in life. I had a lot of fun in high school and enjoyed the stuff I did. Live life with no regrets. Feel free to DM me.

Hi, can anyone give some advice on how do you travel to Naukuchiatal? It would be nice if someone who has would answer. I tried looking online and it said that there's either private cabs or buses from nearby places like Nainital, Kothgodam, Haldwani, etc but there seems to be no actual details on what buses etc. Also is it safe to travel there?

Bear with me, because this is going to be a long one:
So, I have been working for this company for about a year and one of the reasons I decided to work for them is because they also make courses for teacher development purposes, such as TEFL certificates and even certifications to make teachers eligible for courses.
The training process was super nice, the trainer was friendly, and she always made sure to make us feel comfortable in the company UNTIL she presented us to our manager.
Our manager is a lady whom I will identify as Corinne, who has been years in the business and she is someone who you can learn a lot from, actually. Our trainer kept repeating how much she is a good person, which I found odd. Then, I decided to ask her a question to say if my availability was up to the company's standards (they demand a 5-hour availability but it's up to them how many classes they are going to give you) and she said it was not good and then "I see a few hours available here and there, but we don't work that way. We want more from you. Then she started some panicking talk saying that she would let us know who got the job and who didn't (everyone in my training team made it).
Okay, so she hasn't been much of a problem for a long time, but eventually she would pop in my messages with poor soft skills saying "Hey Harambisha, your student said your class is boring. Do what you can to make this engaging." and I explained the situation that actually the company paired an A1 level with a B2 level (the A1 level used a translator in his placement test) and I couldn't get both to talk with each other because there was a clear level gap, so I was only able to do exercises only. Then she said, "Yeah but we can't assign private classes now, so you should make it more conversational."
But the most recent and terrible incident was when I had to cancel a class (with a 30-minute notice) because I had a blackout and unfortunately those are things that happen, as much as we don't want them to. I am from a country where it isn't a frequent occurrence, so I never considered doing something too big about it.
Then, weeks later she got back to me saying "We cannot tolerate last-minute cancellations. You should be more professional and tell us in advance if you are not going to teach a class." then I explained kindly how I am not able to predict these problems and it was a very unlikely scenario, apart from the fact that I want to work and get paid for it (duh), to which she said "yeah, but you are an online teacher, so you should have a generator to back you up" and honestly, that kind of tool is too expensive plus it is unnecessary for me, given that we don't have frequent power outages in my country".
After this, I have been telling people about this story to see if I was really unprofessional or if she is really the crazy one, but these people aren't teachers, so I'd like to ask you: is Corinne an abusive manager, should I get used to it as it is how the business goes or what?
