2024.05.19 09:19 TheProffalken How can I help lower the barrier to entry for people wanting to get started with ROS2?

Hey all, me again!
I've got to a point where I understand publishers and subscribers, I've got some very basic movement working on my robot, and now I want to move into inverse kinematics etc.
As part of this, I've seen (and been told!) in various locations that I should model my robot in Gazebo, but that I should do it using URDF.
"OK, that's fine, another file format, I'll just sketch up something in the UI that creates URDF and away I'll go!", I thought, but it turns out that the best way from various tutorials that I'm reading to create URDF is by writing XML directly, and sometimes you should split it out into different files, other times it's recommended to just use a single file.
I want to make it clear at this point that I don't expect to be spoon-fed like a baby by the community, nor do I expect someone else to do all the work for me, but I also feel that it shouldn't have taken close to 3 weeks of "actual time" to get started with ROS2.
As I get better at understanding ROS2 and start to get everything I need working, what's the best way for me to contribute to this community and make it easier for others to get started? Blog posts? Videos on Youtube? Contributing to documentation?

2024.05.19 07:44 KneiTeam An edition of Knei Blog: uncertainty reduction theory

An edition of Knei Blog: uncertainty reduction theory
Hello, Knei community members!
This week, we are glad to share with you new material from the Knei Blog. As a reminder, the Blog is the section of the Knei website where we talk about relationship-building tips, models, and theories. The volume of such articles is larger than what can be suitable for Reddit or LinkedIn.
In the new edition, we would like to tell about the uncertainty reduction theory. It is a theory first mentioned by Berger and Calabrese (1975) in their work "Some Explorations in Initial Interaction and Beyond: Toward a Developmental Theory of Interpersonal Communication”. Its primary hypothesis is that an individual perceives uncertainty in relation to others’ personalities and strives to reduce it via different strategies and methods.
https://preview.redd.it/6ju6bzs8nb1d1.jpg?width=6240&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=011817bfd51fb2f72dd330693fe77c8f88cd170f
What we find particularly interesting about the theory is that it, inspired both by studies and common sense, represents an ambitious breadth and applicability; yet, it still has a space for development, especially regarding experimental evidence of proposed theorems.
We encourage you to get acquainted with the main concepts of uncertainty reduction theory at Knei Blog and pick the ones you find the most useful in building your interpersonal relations. Stay in touch!

2024.05.19 04:12 pizzapillowfort FMH Master Doc

The moment a lot of you have been waiting for is here!
A couple of notes before you read (or after because I would just jump into the list right away too)
  1. Direct quotes from Ali herself are in italics.
  2. I tried my best to keep everything in timeline order. Some people like The Come Back Kid I placed in the order where they reconnected/talked about on the pod. But I did my best to note this.
  3. All this information came from the FMH podcast, the Patreon, the original FMH blog, TikTok and other podcast that feature FMH/Ali. I also crossed reference information with this sub. I got most of this done with the help of the Patreon and listening to 1.75x speed but I lost accessed to the Patreon because my subscription ended.
  4. I'm open to edits! Things around the matchmaker era confused me and if anything is incorrect or if I'm missing someone, please let me know! I will note where corrections are made.
  5. Some people don't have anything simply because only a name was said or I couldn't find any details about the person/date
  6. And of course, please be respectful of all the sub rules!
Names on the original FMH blog
AOL chatroom Boyfriend
Mentioned on Tiktok and on the pod once
Myspace Boyfriend
Mentioned on Tiktok
Third Boyfriend
Met on eCrush.com in 2002 and this was mentioned on the Cracked Up podcast, The Dave Glaser Podcast and Tiktok
The Kiwi
Met on a 2 week Model UN type youth trip in high school when Ali was 15, never a boyfriend but she had a huge crush on him, he tried to kiss Ali and she literally ran away, didn’t talk the rest of the trip but exchanged numbers and screen names (Ali’s was FineGal13 or BeachJewel760), she made him a mixtape cd called “Ali’s really cool mix for The Kiwi” but never sent it and she still has it. In 2021, he DM’d her when she posted photos of her and her mom in France and invites her to visit him in London, she says she can’t but says they should catch up if he comes to NYC
Fourth Boyfriend
Met on OkCupid when you had to use it on the computer, this was mentioned on Tiktok
The Homecoming Date or Light Switch
First boyfriend? (she goes back and forth calling him her first bf or a situationship), a family friend, a month younger than Ali, dated in high school but went to different high schools, football player, made him ask her to her Homecoming dance over email (her words), Ali hid in the bathroom the whole Homecoming dance, 3-4 revisits of this situations as adults, saw him on Bumble a few years ago and texted him that he had a typo in his bio, “he very much wanted to be with me” and now he’s married with a kid. His mom is still “obsessed” with Ali and she listens to FMH
Random college guy
Freshman year of college, Ali doesn’t have a nickname for him/doesn’t remember his real name, met this guy through a friend, was texting him to invite him over to hot tub but her phone autocorrected to “how about some hot rubbing tonight?” but Ali didn’t noticed/didn’t correct it and he never replied, Ali had a house party and got really drunk and was all over him, he left the party early, she messaged him on MySpace 3-4 times asking why he left
The Resident
Matched on Match.com, first guy she dated in NYC after college, older than Ali, a doctor, lasted 3 months ”maybe”, he didn’t like Ali’s friends, got a card from him on her birthday and it said “Love, The Resident” and it took Ali back a little, Ali drinks black coffee because of him, he coordinated having her mom visit NYC for her birthday then he broke up with her a week later
The Ghost
Met at a bar when she was 25, turns out they matched on OkCupid and they already had a date scheduled next week, they dated for 6-8 weeks, had sleepovers, “The worst ghosting experience I’ve ever had”, he borrowed The Great Gatsby from Ali’s roommate, planned to make dinner together after a beach trip in August with her friends and never showed up, Ali is blowing up his phone and gets no reply, two weeks later she finally texts “are you alive? check yes or no” and he responds “Yes”, Ali then ask if he could return the book and gets no reply again, 5 months go by and she receives the book in the mail with the note: “Here’s the book back. Sorry. P.S. sorry about last summer. I was in a bad place. You’re a great person and your salmon is amazing”, since then she has ran into him twice on the streets and matched with him on Bumble
The Coach/Mr. Adorable
First serious boyfriend at 26/27 in 2013, matched on Match.com or met through work depending if you’re listening to the pod or reading her OG blog, clean-cut look, played volleyball, Ali invited him to a friend’s birthday party and they made out in the streets at 4am, on their second date he asked Ali if she was seeing any one and when Ali said no he ask her to be his girlfriend 3 days after their first date, dated for almost 1.5 years or almost 2 years depending on if you’re listening to the pod or the Patreon, first time saying “I love you” to a guy, “lovely guy“, never would posted Ali on his instagram until Ali said something, he “lived” with her for two weeks while he was in between apartments, tried blind folding/hair pulling during sex and she didn’t like it, by the end of their relationship Ali didn’t like sex and thought she wasn’t a very sexual person, after they broke up Ali drunk texted him at 2am and he picked her up and she spent the night and she took her things in the morning in a rolly suitcase, from her blog in 2015: “I just want to be careful I don’t end up with another Mr. Adorable situation, where I find myself dating my platonic best friend”, had drinks with him in 2016 from the blog: “Not in a romantic way (at least on my end)”, Ali still talks to him sometimes through casual instagram DMs, he’s currently (as of 2021) dating someone for 4+ years and Ali thinks they’re going to get engaged
Trouble
OG 2015 FMH blog, never mentioned on the pod, “I was immediately enamored with him”, met at a Beer Olympic party but he worked with one of Ali’s best friends (Ali was still dating The Coach at the time), lived in BK, tattoos and stubble, Ali’s best friend said he was a “fuck boy”, “he very much made me see that it was the right thing for me and The Coach to not be together”, from her blog in 2015: “he has this look in his eye like he’s constantly laughing at me – in a super sexy way”, he texted her saying he didn’t see anything romantically with her and she sent a gif of someone shrugging
Personal side note: Ali has mentioned she has cheated on someone but never disclosed who she cheated on or with. I feel like she cheated on Mr.A/The Coach with Trouble because of the timeline. Just a guess.
Waffles
Matched on Bumble, OG 2015 FMH blog, he asked Ali fuck/marry/kill breakfast foods, dated 2 months around summer time, on Fourth of July while watching fireworks he said how they had a great day and Ali replied with something along the lines with “yeah, it would be better if I could call you my boyfriend”, he said he wanted a relationship but just not with Ali and shortly afterwards they stopped seeing each other
The Buffalo
Lived in Buffalo NY, 6’5, Scorpio, met in 2015 at Adults National volleyball (Ali’s team won that year) where he was heckling her while she was playing, asks Ali’s mom for her number and Ali’s mom said “I guess you’re tall enough” and told him to ask her himself, he flew her out and she met his parents, dated over summer, exclusive but never boyfriend/girlfriend (but called him her LD boyfriend on TikTok), texted and talked on the phone a lot, Ali’s best friend’s favorite ex “they had really good banter”, in October he invited her to his cousins wedding and she invited him to her friends wedding, after Ali bought her ticket to his cousins wedding (with the promise he would buy her ticket to her friend’s wedding) he ghosted and stonewalled her, she “poured her heart out to him on voicemail” and he never replied, she asked him to pay her back for her ticket and he got mad that she “made this about money”, 2 years later he told Ali that he freaked out because he really liked her and saw a future with her but knew she would never move to Buffalo and it would “never work”, Ali said at the time she would have considered moving for him, Ali used to have him blocked on Facebook and told all her friends not to update her on info about him (unless she asked). He’s now married and goes to Disney with his wife (which Ali kind of scoffs at?), Ali said on TikTok that she dodged a bullet
Baby Bic
Met him at Adults National years ago, had a flirtationship with him in 2016 when he was 19 years old, ran into him at the Adults Nationals 2021, last texts she got from him were about getting his fake ID taken away at the bar and him visiting her in NYC but Ali didn’t want to buy him beer and drink at her apartment
The Chef
Matched on Tinder around 2016, he loved karaoke, “total shit”, asked Ali to be his girlfriend and to meet his mom after a month, off and on dating, broke up the first time because he was talking to his ex, lied and flew to Mexico to see his ex while dating Ali, that ex sent Ali a Snapchat of them in bed together on that Mexico trip, Ali broke up with him via text and called him a shitty boyfriend, he’s the reason Ali deleted her Snapchat because of drunk Snaps he would send post break up, FB messaged Ali 6 years later (while Roark was visiting/staying with Ali) and said sorry for being a shit head. Ali’s best friends hated him
The Dentist
Met on Halloween in the wild, Canadian, dated NYE 2016- May 2017 “nice guy, not my guy”, one of Ali’s best friend’s favorite ex “he adored you, “he was too sweet for me” and “he had no edge to him”, he painted Ali’s cat for her 30th birthday but she was annoyed it was just Rory and not both cats, The Chef texted Ali while on a date/sleeping at his house
ASV - Aspiring Sober Vegan
Met through a friend (her best guy friend’s college roommate) the day before she had to fly out to her dad’s memorial, a doctor, into meditation, remembered him “being cuter” when they went on a first date, felt “the spark”, had “omg this is awesome sex”, Ali described this relationship as a “slow burn” and “the most attracted she ever been to a partner” even thought she didn’t think he was that cute in the beginning, dated 2-3 months before he tried to ghost Ali but they talked and broke up, four months later they start casually dating/FWB because he’s moving but this turns into a ‘middle distance relationship’ and he moves to Philly, had a lot of communication issues but didn't have a lot of fights, wants to live in Ohio and give a % of his income to charity, Ali was close to saying ‘I love you’ but didn’t, he uninvited her to meet his extended family and they got in a fight, broke up with her a couple weeks before their 6 month anniversary at the park while on a picnic and told her that she’s still his favorite person, Ali used to think he was “the one that got away” and would frequently have dreams about him. From what Ali knows, he's sober but not vegan
The Scientist
2017 or 2018ish, from San Diego, went on one date, Ali ended up ghosting him due to the decline in her dad’s health, saw him on Hinge while she was in San Diego for 3 months in 2020, texted him and apologized for ghosting him, ended up going on 2-3 more dates, took a selfie in front of his house and sent it to him but acted like she didn’t know that was his house and made a TikTok about it, things ended up not working but she doesn’t make it clear on who ended it. She can now see she shouldn’t have been going on dates during this time when her dad was sick.
Good on Paper Divorced Dude
Met a couple of years ago (she told this story on TikTok in 2020) on Bumble
The Groomsman
Met at her friend Ashley’s wedding in Chicago Oct 2019, had a “two night stand” with him, texted/talked/FT’d for 3-4 months, divorced, never dated seriously/FWB, saw each other a couple time when he came to NYC, Ali stopped talking with him due to FMH and her trying to find a serious relationship, he starts dating someone, follows FMH on insta, slid into her DM in 2022 and then sent her soup while she was sick, turns out he’s single again, 2 months later Ali is heading to Chicago and texts him “Hello! Reminder that my arrival to your neck of the woods is imminent” and turns out he is now seeing someone and Ali doesn’t see him while in Chicago (at least she doesn’t mention it)
Unnicknamed person
He was her plus one at her best friend from college’s NYE wedding 2019/2020, met and hung out with Ali’s mom, posted photos of them together on her personal Insta story, “fully dating but weren’t official hehe” doesn’t have a nickname/never gave him a nickname? This could be The Latvian/the person she texted her friend in DC about saying “I think I’m on a date with my husband”

Starts FMH on January 2020 on Instagram/TikTok

The Traveler
He was browsing Bumble while Ali was in the bathroom during their first date, he was banned from Bumble and was using his grandma phone number. Ali turned down a second date
The Duke
Early FMH, went for long periods of time in between texts, 7-8 Zoom dates while Ali was in San Diego and he was in NY, Ali said you could see three of his ex’s on his instagram page (without scrolling), they finally went on one date and it was “meh” but they did kiss on their date
The Oyster
Matched on Bumble (he had one photo and no bio) two weeks before Valentines Day, Gemini, a lawyer, part of the 13 First Dates in 30 Days series (he was #13), dated Feb 2020-Aug 2020, love bomber, felt “the spark” and became official after 3 dates, best first date ever??? at the time, said “I love you” to Ali after two weeks, “For most of my relationship with The Oyster, he didn’t live in the city he had moved to Connecticut without telling me”, would fight all the time, opposite political views, Ali felt like a “fucking summer camp director” because she planned all their dates and he would get upset if Ali didn't have a plan, sought out a therapist (Megan) because of her relationship struggles because of him, went to Mass/church, he wanted a traditional marriage/life/wife/kids (at one point had Ali thinking she wanted that), didn’t want to live in NYC, didn’t support BLM, Cindy hated him
The Pilot
Went on 3 dates, texted a lot, didn’t hear back from him in four days and when she said she was looking to date someone who showed more consistency, he replied saying he met someone the day after their last date who seems to have more free time than Ali and he wants to pursue that but would like to be friends, Ali said on TikTok that this other women “bent her schedule to his schedule” and she was unwilling to do that. Mostly talked about him on TikTok
The Analyst
Matched on Bumble two years ago and went on one date, re matched in 2021 and he stood Ali up, she send him a text “getting stood up” script and he never replied. Only mentioned him on TikTok (?)

The Boomerang
First date on the pod? I couldn't find anything else about him
The Scuba Diver
The Music Man
One date, “he didn’t do anything wrong, he’s just not for me”, amped up small talk, complimented Ali a lot which made her feel awkward cause she wasn’t feeling it, he texted her and asked for a second date and Ali sent the no ghosting script

The Camper
Met in the wild at a volleyball tournament in July, lives in Chicago, 27 years old, hung out the whole time, over heard Ali asking someone to get her a make out partner, gave Ali his number, drunkly ask him for a FT date in the future and he didn’t reply, Ali texts him again about a volleyball thing and he replied back with not a lot of enthusiasm, Ali is going to Chicago in Sept for a volleyball tournament and she’s already planning on playing 4-on-4 with her best friend vs. his roommate and maybe The Camper, he texts her saying he has to work on the date of the tournament and won’t be able to do the 4-on-4 game, “I feel like I got broken up with someone I never want to date in the first place”

Ali’s Matchmaker contract starts in August 2021 - 6 matches

The Schmoozer
Went on a dinner date, was chatting up the waitress in a kind of creepy way, was bragging about a lot of things and it turned Ali off and Ali texted him her no ghosting script
The Accountant
1st matchmaker match, 31 years old, lives in BK, his dad has also passed away, easy to talk to, on the third date she wasn’t sure if she saw a future with him and in her gut doesn’t feel like this would be a slow burn, Ali breaks things off with him, months (?) later he sent Ali a 5 min long voice memo and they said they were both down to see each other as friends. He later on dated and ghosted Erica
The Aussie
Matched on Hinge, in politics, from Australia but lived all over the place, asked Ali what she’s looking for on the first date and he said he’s “casually looking for something serious”, Ali accidentally walks up to a different person on their second date, Ali texts him saying she would love to see him before he leaves on a trip and she wasn’t happy that it took him till the next day to reply and he can’t see her before he leaves
The Goalie
Was supposed to be Ali’s 2nd match, he’s a paying client, Ali didn’t hear back from him for a while when she told him where she lived, he wrote to the matchmaker saying that she lived too far away even though it states where she lives in her matchmaker profile
The Journalist
2nd matchmaker match, ended things because she was dating/pursuing things with The Discoball and paused her matchmakers matches

The Threepeat
Matched multiple times on dating apps but this recent time with Hinge, Amazon seller, first date was a pizza lunch date (with bubbles aka champagne) and he gave her a single yellow carnation, talked a lot about her “side hustles” aka her food blog, coaching, FMH and the pod (Ali didn’t mentioned the name on FMH), had an awkward half kiss during the date and then gave her a peck when they said goodbye, he had no night stands by his bed?, spent the night but told public pod they had a movie night, different kissing styles, 6 dates, broke things off with Ali two days before her first date with The Rower WHILE Ali was on a Halloween girls trip
The Rower
Dated from Halloween 2021 till early Feb 2022, Pisces who is 6 days older than Ali, has an ex-fiancé (they dated for 8 years, engaged for two of them, she broke off the engagement with him 1.5 years ago once he started dating Ali), has a shared dog with this ex, slept together around Xmas on the fourth date and Ali got a UTI, first time having “omg this is awesome sex” since ASV, first person Ali slept next to wearing an eye mask "that's a big step for me", had him watch 90 Day Fiancé, on New Years Day told her that he sees “long term relationship potential” with her but doesn’t want to be exclusive after 5 dates, “we didn’t talk all week”, he said he wasn’t as ready as he though to date someone seriously and “I don’t know why I don’t want to be in a relationship with you” they broke up over the phone, Ali said he’s a good human and wants to date someone like him, 3.5 weeks later Ali drunk texted him at 3:00 am saying “its really hard not to talk to you” which Ali said was a lie, he replied back (few days? A week later?) while Ali was on another date and it made her cry a bit, she replied back saying “the door is closed but not locked” in regards if he wants to get back together. “Fin… for now”

2022

Ali said he sucks in #77 AUA
Lisbon
The Brit
M&M
The Come Back Kid
They went on 2-3 dates in Nov 2018 and reconnected in May 2022, "felt immediately comfortable", sat next to a very drunk lady on their second 1st date and was supportive but "didn't step on Ali's toes" when the drunk lady said something offensive to Ali, couldn’t remember if they slept together or not, knows about FMH, ghosted Ali
The Trainer
The Cold Brew
The Nomad
3rd matchmaker match, reminded Ali of The Oyster, wanted kids and didn’t want to live in NYC forever, Ali was upset at first because her matchmaker was supposed to screen for that but the matchmaker DID check and it wasn’t mentioned when she was screening The Nomad, no second date because those are dealbreakers to him
The Catcher
Matched on Bumble, “good not great” after their first date, ~April 2022, talked about sports a lot on their first date
The Gentleman
4th matchmaker match, knew about Ali’s FMH socials before their date, Ali didn’t like his texting style, awkward intro on their first date “like hugging a 2 x 4”, he runs a dating event company and actually email Ali to be a guest on the pod when FMH first started, awkward goodbye, didn’t discuss the actual first date on the main pod because she doesn’t want to give him a reason to reach out again
The Tennis Pro
Ali had a good time on their date, “He is an adult, he’s mature” BUT “I don’t think he was into it
The Padre
Matched on Bumble, 3 dates, from San Diego, “energy mismatch”, doesn’t want to know or listen to FMH, no psychical connection/kiss, only a kiss on the cheek on their last date, “I haven’t spoken to him since Friday night [a week]”, she didn’t want to do what The Threepeat did to her (break up while on vacation/traveling), she said it might be a MOO

Roark leaves and Erica joins the pod Oct 31st 2022

Captain Kirk
5th matchmaker match, found him on Bumble before their in-person date, ghosted Ali AND the matchmaker???
6th matchmaker match
Last match and Ali states she will not talk about this date or anything about it
JFK Kirk?

Kirk #1
Met in the wild, make out a lot the night they met, “stealing kisses throughout the night”, exchanged numbers, planned a date (no specifics, just the day) but when Ali texted him day of he asked to reschedule (no specifics again), he replied back that he’s picking up a rental car, told him she’s looking for someone to respect her time and he never replied back

2024

Pie Guy/Dr. Laundry
Matched on The League, 34 years old, requested a nickname change from Pie Guy to Dr. Laundry, he had to cancel their second date because he got hit by a car, went on two dates, Ali sent him a pic of his subway stop saying something along the lines of “the stop isn’t looking as cute today” and turns out someone he dated with in that photo, were supposed to go on a third date the night she got back from a bachelorette party but he didn't answer her text when she said she landed, the next day he asked her how her trip was not acknowledging her previous text at all, Ali expressed her disappointment and he replied that he was tired last night, she said she would've been understanding if he said something then ghosted her
Andddd I stopped listening to the podcast around the Dr. Pie Laundry Guy but have stayed up to date with everything via this sub.
I have a huge interest in dating culture, human behavior and data similar to Ali and this little project of mine was really interesting once I got the framework of this list. I started this list once I found this sub in December 2023 and started re listening to the Patreon while working out (and lost 10 lbs ayeee) and writing down information in my notes app. I did my best to keep this list unbiased and just give facts and information that was said.
My own thoughts after making this list is that I'm very sad for Ali. I didn't realize the extent of her dating history. I think about my own dating history or even my friends who are in their 30's and dating and Ali's dating lore runs so deep. Is Ali unlucky with love? Did she pass on someone that could have been great for her? How has she had so many dates with little success in a long term partner or even going beyond 6-8 dates? Or is Skyline the person she has been waiting for? What's the pattern with all this dates/men? So many questions.
I truly do hope Ali finds her guy because I believe theres someone for everyone. Until then, I'll be hopping into this sub (cause y'all are too funny and give the best advice) and waiting for Ali to find Mr. Height.
Enjoy and I look forward to everyone thoughts! I'll keep my eye out for any edits that need to be made.

2024.05.19 00:45 MyStoopidStuff Looking for help to test a new A1 Spares Case design

Looking for help to test a new A1 Spares Case design
A while ago, I designed an A1 Spares case and posted it up to Printables as a 3MF profile looking for feedback:
https://www.printables.com/model/861390-bambu-a1-and-a1-mini-spares-and-tool-case
The design is an A1 / A1 Mini version of my X1C/P1P/S tool case. However, I don't have an A1 or A1 mini, so although I was able to test the case design on my printer, I was unable to fully test the tool holder insert with the tools from the A1 series (I don't have, and cannot obtain, the tools that ship with the A1 series). So I've been looking for feedback on how the tools fit the case and the insert. Once I get feedback (and correct any issues that may be found), I plan to upload the design to MakerWorld.
If there are any A1 or A1 Mini owners out there, who would like to assist by printing and providing feedback on the design, it would help me complete the project.
It would be helpful if testers have a way to measure accurately, if there is an adjustment needed to the design (like a calipers or a good metric ruler). The 3MF is set up to use PLA, PETG and optional TPU parts. An AMS is not required, but there is an AMS option on some parts. The design only requires M3 SHCS and M3 BHCS screws to build.
If there are any issues found, I will work with testers on them, but cannot compensate for wasted time or materials. It's possible that some non-critical issues, such as finger cutouts that are too small for some folks, may not be re-worked unless absolutely necessary (due to the time to reconfigure the tool holder, and limited space to do so). The design is somewhat modular, so if there is a problem with the tools insert, only that part should need to be re-printed. I have done my best to make sure the design should work, and I've tested all parts of the case, except the tool holder insert. I was only able to post one pic here, however there are more pics of the case on my blog, including some pics of the prototype I printed to test the case.

2024.05.18 23:21 Tesa_Tesanovic1988 What is a Venture Builder and how to design one?

A venture builder differs from other capital funds in that it depends mainly on the quality and dynamism of its networks (INSEAD, 2018). It means that a venture builder must find out which the best resource combination for creating the most explosive outcomes for it to gain market greater share faster than its rivals.

A venture builder differs from other capital funds in that it depends mainly on the quality and dynamism of its networks (INSEAD, 2018). It means that a venture builder must find out which the best resource combination for creating the most explosive outcomes for it to gain market greater share faster than its rivals.
Corporations tend to use VB to reduce the chances of negative black swan exposure while raising their positive black swan exposure (Thng, 2019). According to conventional knowledge, business enterprises’ systems, structures, and procedures focus more on delivery and performance than on change and innovation (de Alvarenga et al., 2019). Firms must pursue the former to succeed in today’s competition, but they are likely to jeopardize their future well-being if they overlook the latter. Many companies have tried versatile structures or techniques like open innovation to balance effectiveness and creativity. Among these approaches, establishing incubator groups to create relationships with emerging start-up enterprises is a significant contemporary method (Massiera, 2021). The logic behind it is straightforward: VBs tap into new business models and talent pools while also transforming their own corporate cultures in return for helping new ventures deal with the risk of newness and evolve into more stable organizations (Cryptix, 2022). The venture builder environment is significant because they attempt to improve new venture success rates.

Goals and purpose of Venture BuilderGoals and purpose of Venture Builder

A Venture Builder is similar to a fast-paced tech startup, where its product is the venture, the prototype is the business model, and deliverables means perfect and timely deployment.
Venture investors have a clear edge over firms that are leveraged or rely on grants for financing; it’s a possible solution to the funding gap that has been a challenge for early-stage companies (Massiera, 2021). Any start-up owned by the Venture Builder will almost certainly have some equity taken. Still, the start-up has the potential to accelerate in its early stages with the installation of shared services, expertise, and salary (Tkalich et al., 2021). It becomes a win-win situation for both parties, which boosts their chances of success. Venture builders either hire professionals or rely on extensive expertise and commercial experience. They exchanged technical experience with competent developers who can produce swiftly with the correct frameworks and assistance, as well as high-quality code (Tkalich et al., 2021). Even with a collection of proprietary technology that can be used to cut development time even more.
Over the past decade, many corporate innovation laboratories have sprung up. Cross-functional cooperation involving intrapreneurs in these laboratories helps companies come up with fresh ideas and concepts. On the other hand, these concepts are usually executed as startup priorities and get greater attention from the venture builders. Consequently, rather than forging new ground, venture builders often focus on boosting this young business. Meanwhile, corporate initiatives are designed to achieve mid to long-term goals. This eliminates the need for complicated integration concerns. With abundant resources, the venture builders may settle on innovative decisions at startup without facing the constraints of the corporate hierarchy. This results in quicker returns on investment and a better competitive edge for the startups. The startups are, thus, charged with exploring radical ideas and business models that address new consumer requirements, allowing the venture builder to diversify its risks of disruption.

The Distinction Between Incubators and Accelerators

Although each business is similar, its methods and target markets differ. Accelerators are short-term programs that target a wide range of start-ups, from pre-seed through scale-ups. Incubators are a kind of start-up help firm that is broader (Cryptix, 2022). Venture builders concentrate on bringing together teams and forming a group of start-ups simultaneously as part of a lengthier program that connects them to their network. Unfortunately, the phrase “venture builder” has only recently gained popularity in the entrepreneurial sector. “Accelerator” is a more often used word, yet it is still understudied. The words venture builder, accelerator, and incubator tend to be used interchangeably to gather as much information as possible, with the distinctions noted previously taken into account.
Because venture capital companies are not operating businesses, they are unique. They put their money into potential teams and company concepts that match their requirements. Venture Builders, however, are heavily engaged in day-to-day operations management (Cryptix, 2022). When a Venture Builder has shares in a firm, it came up with the concept and put in a lot of work to build it, not because it contributed funds. It is also apparent that many Venture Builders are setting up funds to help with funding (Gerhardt et al., 2021). Contrary to the case of incubators and accelerators, Venture Builders find company ideas from within their networks and allocate internal teams to initiate the building from the bottom up. The link between a Venture Builder and its ventures is long-term; it is heavily engaged with the businesses it creates until they depart.

Process of creating a Venture Builder

Venture studios create businesses by developing new concepts and allocating teams to those with commercial potential (Doyle, 2021). Any dangerous assumptions that must be true for your idea to have any potential are addressed after the business concept has been fully understood. The first step is to determine whether or not your target clients have issues that need to be addressed and, if so, whether or not your concept offers the appropriate answers. After these concepts have been verified and proven, they are backed up by resources to create a minimum viable product (INSEAD, 2018). Building a team is a crucial aspect of the process for smart individuals who want to achieve big things. While some venture builders fund the design process first, others have created a strong reputation that allows them to seek funds before the ideas are specified. If the feasibility is confirmed at this time, the studio works on growing the new venture before attempting to depart. This business model cycle is repeated several times, each time resulting in creating a new venture (Garcia-Luengo, 2017). It is anticipated that if an idea fails, resources will be shifted, or the business case will be abandoned outright.

Conclusion

The Venture Builder approach is becoming more popular. It is arguable if venture capital is a superior model. While each has its benefits, venture building is more facilitating and advantageous for a potential early-stage start-up firm, particularly one that has yet to support itself with working capital. It is indisputable that venture building is modernizing and deconstructing a process that was once somewhat of an art than a science, and equipping organizations and people by stressing the systematic use of human capital to create unique opportunities from the bottom up, thus boosting the possibilities of developing and growing successful companies. It is no longer a single personality that drives the company; instead it is the use of established procedures based on successful case studies, paired with the appropriate team and deployment at the right time that has enabled tales to be told.

2024.05.18 23:14 pajanraul This post was originally in another thread about who runs the world. My answer was the central banks. On investigation of who runs the central banks i came up with this....

When looking into the makings of central banks and financal affairs in the uk and europe i came up with this
Finance and lending money was almost entirely run by jewish families long before 1066AD when William the conquerer borrowed significantly from jewish financiers of France a Rouen Banking family, name is still undisclosed. If anyone knows let me know.
government bonds from 1066 in the british library
The Worshipful goldsmiths company a 700 year old group of goldsmith (investors) who to this day buy up government guilds aka bonds aka loans. Aswell as owning vast estates in and around london. The company was formed after the jewish were originally exiled from britian because of accusations they controlled the UKs finances between 1066 and 1290 🤔 ( insert capitalism cloak and dagger) hide behind a business name.
the worshipful goldsmiths company
This company became of interest to me, as little is said about who actually founded the goldsmiths company other than they were the goldsmiths of london who had controll over london finances as they bacame the gold standard by royal charter. (where the hallmark name came from)
Its rather puzzling who these prominent people were, and interesting that little is said about them especially considering how well they recorded its rather odd they didnt have records of their ownership? (shell company style?)
So 700 years ago goldsmiths were almost all jewish as lending money was strictly forbidden in Christianity ( if you weren't a Christian in england 1000 years ago what even were you?
Also note the Rothschilds family owned the building to the royal mint where coins were minted for the last 200 years. Strange dont you think 🤔
royal mint
Also an interesting financial scale within jewish economics. Jewish law states that jewish can only charge interest to non jewish. So if your entire business model is to charge interest and if a huge percentage of banks are jewish owned and they can only charge interest to non jewish that would denote a pyramidal scale? Note the largest hedge companies in the world are jewish owned.
halachah or jewish law
Now i am not saying this is the entire jewish race, but certainly prominent elite familes hidden behind a cover of a capitalist system that assists obscurity it for what it is.
If you have checked out the links above note they are all from jewish sources.
And you can start to imagin how long the banking business has actually been going on for. If halachah must be followed that would mean continual money supply into a pot for one race obtained from everyone else. (quite possibly why the US pushes for capital markets everywhere and detest communist systems that prevents 👆)
Some examples of said families
rothschilds family archives
The duke of wellington took a loan of £1 billion to pay for the battle of waterloo in 1815, which would now be worth over 20 trillion in todays money. This loan is supposedly still being repaid by british taxpayers to this day.
Can you imagin what interest repayments the Rothschilds must be recieving for a loan that's over 200 years old.
Calculations for 1 billion over 200 years at 4% workds out to a total repayment of 2,940,562,619,656.00 = £2.94 trillion
Oh and guess who funded the loan to pay slave owners for freeing slaves. You guessed it the Rothschilds and Montefoire family if you haven't already come across the latter another name to consider.
Rothschilds and Montefoire
The slave ownership loan was only just been repaid by british tax payers in recent years. If you understand how loan repayments work from mortgages you can imagin what a 200 year old loan does to the total repayment cost.
Calculations for
15 million over 200 years at 4% works out to a total repayment of 38,261,246,866.00 just over 38 billion. So where is all this money as their net worth vastly differs 🤔.
I believe that we are built on a system of finance, either capitalist who want a portion and access of other nations interests or the communists who want to keep the financial system in their own company.
who ever owns the finance owns the world.
Im not sure who secretly runs the countrys of the world but in delving deeper into the history behind finance i found the aforementioned. Some will say this is antisemetic trope. But everything i looked up was backed up by jewish authors and resources. Jewish chronicles being one of them
Thodore Herzle is another prominent name in zionism as its founder who started the zionist movement from Basel switzerland, the mothership of all central banks the IBS International Bank of Settlements. He also founded the jewish colonial bank which later turned into the central bank of israel.
jewish virtual library source
Its interesting that more of this is not known or more public knowledge, or is that the point keep this buried and call everyone antisemitic for brining it up?
Whilst im not from the US, its domination in war time affairs raises some questions. As war requires large bonds borrowed from the prominent wealthy families mentioned. Creating debts that continue to be paid by tax payers over hundreds of years. It may be worth researching who actually bought the long term bonds for the covid packages and Ukraine and Israel piggy bank.
Nearly the entire biden administration is made up of jewish, so theres no wonder why he keeps vetoing everything. A list below of his jewish team.
biden administration jewish team list
and well the US economy has a big hand in debt making and taking. If you arent with it, your in the way as many countries have found out the hard way.
I have lots more, but conscious this is long and getting bored now.
Enjoy your rabbit hole hunting and if anyone has anything to add or if i have got anything wrong id be interested in your view points ✌️

2024.05.18 23:09 Tesa_Tesanovic1988 Welcome to Fusion Teams

Organizing the workforce into fusion teams is one of the ways of ensuring that a firm continues to thrive long into the future. Fusion teams are considered a new method through which organizations manage their workforce by combining business expertise and technology.Organizing the workforce into fusion teams is one of the ways of ensuring that a firm continues to thrive long into the future. Fusion teams are considered a new method through which organizations manage their workforce by combining business expertise and technology.

According to Sutton, the effectiveness of fusion teams is tied to the agile culture it promotes. The rise of fusion teams in the modern-day workplace has been inspired by the need for organizations to adapt to the ever-changing work environment. Managing the changes happening in the workplace necessitates collaboration between multidisciplinary teams, which must work together to address organizational obstacles and develop real-time and effective solutions (Pattnaik and Rashmita, 231). A fusion team by definitions is a multidisciplinary team that combinations technology with analytics and business specific domain expertise. Within the fusion team accountability is shared to ensure business and technology outcomes. As an alternative of organizing work across functions or technology verticals, fusion teams are designed around the cross-cutting business capabilities, business outcomes and customer outcomes they are accountable for. The role played by fusion teams in the work environment is expected to persist long into the future.
Despite their reputation for brutality, pirates ran a surprisingly progressive and equitable ship; it turns out, they were forward-thinking in many surprising and instructive ways.
Collaborations between teams within the workplace, characteristic of fusion teams, are expected to continue gaining popularity as more firms embrace the workplace’s digital transformation changes. According to Alli and Jenni, fusion teams operate like pirates where the employees try to work towards achieving a balance of power. This can best be achieved by ensuring a democratic approach towards decision-making. All the decisions taken in fusion teams mirror those taken on pirate ships where duties and responsibilities are well defined. Each member of the crew is expected to play their part to perfection and contribute to the overall success of the entire ship (Minister). Similarly, for fusion teams, successful collaboration within and across departments often lead to success that all the team members share.
The delay by some companies to go online during the lockdown period of the COVID-19 pandemic revealed a big gap in their operational efficiency. As stated above, some companies had never envisioned a scenario where their staff would have to work from home. Such companies had to wait for the emergence of an unfortunate or adverse event to embrace the work from home model. However, not many organizations managed to adapt, but those that adapted stayed afloat even as many others failed and were eventually forced to permanently close their businesses (Harel 93). A key characteristic of the firms that survived through the COVID-19 period is embracing digital transformation, and such firms are still on course with this paradigm and are using it as a guide into the future (Priyono et al. 104). Digital transformation has continued to play a key role pre, during, and post the pandemic period to ensure that businesses achieve a competitive technological advantage.
Aside from the pandemic, generally, firms need to find new ways of working. According to Gartner, efficiency and time are very important in the modern-day workplace. The importance of these two elements is informed by the fact that the workplace and the marketplace are very competitive- with hyper-competition rife between rival brands and firms. Therefore, products need to be developed in record time, and they must be delivered to the market ahead of competitors. Furthermore, customers’ demands can best be served when the company aligns its production processes with customers’ needs (Kumar et al. 163). Additionally, companies specializing in service provision can also benefit from going digital. Doing this would position them to address the needs of a portion of its customers who are digital natives.
We habitually look upon on renegades and rebels as a menace, NASA’s Johnson Space Center, however, suggests that high performing teams need renegades more than we think. Far from troublesome, they can be a commanding force of shifting organizations towards new futures.
Fusion teams can help future-focused teams serve their current and future customers better. According to Galli and Paola (69), fusion teams, just like pirates on a ship, often operate guided by agile culture. There is increased flexibility in the agile culture environment, which empowers employees to adapt to different changes in their working environment. The agility with which employees in fusion teams work is similar to the agile culture aboard a pirate ship. The crew has to change their way of operations depending on the different circumstances they encounter at sea. Agile practices are important as they tear down the bureaucratic practices that hinder workforce from responding to changes in their environments. Some marketplace and workplace changes are more important than any other culture, especially a bureaucratic culture, which would not allow stakeholders to respond fast enough (Rey 77). Consequently, organizations that fail to embrace agile culture will miss out on the opportunities provided by rapid changes in their operating environments.
The agile culture where fusion teams thrive is also an ideal environment for modern-day employees. Unlike traditional employees who thrived in bureaucratic workplaces, the modern-day employee thrives more in environments that promote greater opportunities to team members. Fusion teams do not have formal reporting structure and they come across quite fluid. Team leaders and team members alike could report to either to dedicated IT departments or business areas outside. Fusion teams are often incumbated within Agile project or scrum teams and progressively adopt product management discipline to manage a capability end-to-end, from strategy development to delivery and continuous improvements.
Fusion teams will continue to contribute positively towards business and organizational success. Such teams operate in ways that are distinct from those of traditional teams. For example, fusion teams encourage employees to innovate while providing them with the space and resources needed. Additionally, employees are allowed to collaborate with their colleagues across departments, making it possible for both tacit and explicit knowledge to flow with ease both horizontally and vertically in an organization. Fusion teams will address the many challenges that employees in traditional teams face. These challenges are the bottleneck of bureaucratic structures that stifle innovation and delay the overall innovation process. By addressing such challenges, fusion teams will ensure that businesses innovate faster and succeed in bringing innovative products to the market before their competitors. Since fusion teams are agile and offer employees a high level of autonomy, it is expected that organizations that embrace them will experience higher employee retention than organizations that stick to traditional teams.

2024.05.18 21:03 AyraWinla How to make Llama 3 8b NOT always do "choose your own adventure"?

After finding out with some surprise that my computer can actually run llm locally despite only having an igpu, I started dabbling with Silly tavern and Kobold.cpp.
I'm having an odd issue with the original Llama 8b instruct 4_K_M. I tried with a Lumi Maid variant and I get the exact same result.
The initial first phrase comes up. I put in my prompt.
Llama then starts to write answer, with a perfect understanding of the characters and situation, and usually write it extremely well.
... but at the end, it ALWAYS adds stuff like "What will Ayra do?" , often followed by multiple choices I can pick from. Sometime, it will also add things like "Do you want me to write more?" and sometime there's things like "Follow my blog to read more", sometime even generating html code for a page with subscribe buttons and things. Sometime, it instead tells me that in this scenario, the import pant things are xyz.
I tried some simpler scenario with something like 300 tokens card (including both description and initial prompt), tried with adding things like "this is a roleplay scenario" "you only write for x" or things like "you do not offer options to the user", but it made zero differences.
Does anyone have any recommendations on what I could try? I really like it's writing, but all the stuff it adds at the end completely ruins the experience. I'm running Silly tavern with everything on default besides a few small changes to temperature, top p and repetition penalties.
With Mistral-based like Kunoichi, I have none of those issues and it also "get" the characters and situation very well, but the writing usually isn't quite as strong and it often tends to try to also write for my own character despite my best attempts, which can get annoying (Please do tell me if there's a solution for that too). Fimbulvert writes well, never write for my character and is fantastic, but it's a 13b model I can barely run, making it exceedingly slow.
Any suggestions on getting Llama to work right is very welcome. Thank you!

2024.05.18 20:56 Fevergreen3 New Idea for Preventing 3D File Theft

Theoretically, what if there was a marketplace where 3D models were never exposed/sold? When someone wants to print an item it gets sliced for their printematerial and sent to them? This would make it easier for beginners (don't have to learn slicing) and protects designers (only .gcodes are sold). What do folks think? More details on how this would work here: https://mattermanifest.com/blog/prevent-stealing-of-3d-models
Update: Thanks to everyone who added their thoughts! While we may disagree, I think we can all agree on the desire for new ideas that promote growth in the 3D printing industry, such as better printers for less, more things to print, and more economic opportunities for those who have invested their time and energy into mastering 3D printing. Here are my responses to the top points:
Reverse Engineering an STL: I agree that selling in .gcodes doesn't guarantee protection. It might only act as a deterrent. Tools that convert G-code back to STL work by tracing the extruder's path in the G-code. For complicated .gcodes, such as combined parts, threading, and tight fit tolerances, the precision of the original file is lost. This is also true with scanners. Eventually, for the pirate, is it really worth the time to reverse the file or just buy it? Technically, any STL can be stolen if a talented designer decides to re-draw the file, which this approach will not protect against.
Custom Slicing and Settings: The idea isn't to manually slice everything. The approach would be for a server with PrusaSliceCura (both open source) to intake an STL and a list of print settings and convert to gcode (Not someone elses' raw GCODE). Individual settings, such as layer height and nozzle size, can still be tweaked. If a user purchases a .gcode, they can get a set number of reslices, allowing them to customize any of the settings. This can also help identify the top success rate slice for each printer. Mattermanifest.com/catalog already has a working prototype where if your printer isn't supported, you just request it and it will be emailed to you.
Is This Worth It? Lower Barrier to Entry for New Users: This approach can significantly lower the barrier to entry for beginners who find slicing challenging. By providing ready-to-print G-codes, new users can start printing without the steep learning curve associated with slicing. Just imagine how long it took you to learn 3D printing. This ease of use can attract more people to 3D printing, increasing demand for new models and fostering a larger market for purchasing 3D designs. Educating new users through this simplified process can lead to higher adoption rates and more consistent growth in the industry. This might not be a game-changer for experienced users, but for beginners, it could make a big difference.

2024.05.18 19:23 USAGunShop Current Rates Based on Significant Experience

I've been out of the freelance writing game for clients for about 5 years as I discovered affiliate marketing, built my own sites and made a very nice income. All fine and dandy, until the last year when Google slowly squeezed the life out of that business model.
So I'm coming back to freelance writing, but a lot has changed in the time I have been away.
I have a great portfolio from my time as a journalist/freelance writer. OK, it looks a little old and outdated, but I figure I can cover that and even use one or two pieces from my sites to fill in the work history gap.
Previously I worked for pretty big name automotive magazines in the US, national newspapers (The Sunday Times in England and similar level in Australia, Switzerland, Norway and a few others). I also transitioned into tech, so have a decent background in subjects like 3D printing, some early AI and even crypto.
I also worked for corporate clients, including major names in tech (3D Printing), which I think is the best place to look for work now.
My plan, especially with the recent Google upheaval, is to focus on case studies for companies. So phone interviews with their customers and partners to show the real world impact, cost savings, efficiency etc, of their products and services in action. I think I need to add a human touch that AI can't readily replace.
Of course, I'm going to have to look at regular blogging. If it's available in the current climate.
Then it struck me: I have no idea what to charge anymore.
Based on that background, what would the old hands here say are the right kind of charges to get work and thrive in this modern dystopian nightmare of a world?

In this guide, I’ll share;

What is the sales funnels for Shopify?

Getting new customer is the process of turning strangers to customers. There are some specific part of these journeys. Sales funnels are visual representation of this customers journeys starting from total strangers and ending with being customer.
Sales funnels help us to identify distinct areas of customer journey so visitors position in this journey can be identified and optimized to move visitors to the next stop in this journey.

Overview of Sales Funnels

There are a few different concept for the sales funnels. The most popular one is the AIDA framework.

AIDA Framework

AIDA framework stands for Attention, Interest, Decision, Action
Based on this framework there are four main stages of customers journey. Let’s take a look at each steps.
  1. Attention: Your customers first notice your brand and products.
  2. Interest: This is where thinking happens. Visitors find answer of “Should I buy this product from this brand?”
  3. Decision: This is the second thinking phase. Visitors find answer of “Should I buy this product right now?”
  4. Action: Last step of the sales funnel. Customers take action in this step and become a customer in this step.
As you can see first attention step is the top of the funnel. Interest and decision is the middle of the buying journey and action is the last step of the sales funnel.

How to Build Your Sales Funnel?

Building high-converting sales funnel has three main component.

1. Know Your Ideal Customer Profile

As I previously explained in the How to Grow Your Shopify Store guide, everyone can’t be your customers.
You need to find your niche that response your brands, products and value propositions better than anyone else. This is called ideal customer profile (ICP).
You decide to join entrepreneurship journey with Shopify, picked a great name, launched your store with great products.
Started a few campaigns on Google or Meta and waiting your orders.
Waiting new orders for days, weeks or maybe months.
Now you’re thinking what’s wrong?
The simple answer: You can’t sell without having a well designed Shopify sales funnel.
In this guide, I’ll share;

1. Know Your Ideal Customer Profile

As I previously explained in the How to Grow Your Shopify Store guide, everyone can’t be your customers.
You need to find your niche that response your brands, products and value propositions better than anyone else. This is called ideal customer profile (ICP).
Ideal Customer Profile
If you have at least 200-300 customers, the best way to create your ICP is directly talking with your customers. Just check your best customers (who are spending most or buying repeatedly from you) and get in touch directly with them. Ask open ended questions to get idea of what makes them your best customers.
If you’re just starting on your Shopify journey, then my recommendation is using Google Bard. Here are my prompts.
That’s it! Save Bard response to any document and do a quick brainstorming on the outputs. Check out my previous articles What is the Ideal Customer Profile and How to create your ICP? to learn more about it. You can see my example for a hypothetical store at the end of this post.

Empathy Map

Our main goal with sales funnels is convincing people to say “I want to buy this product, right now“. To reach that point we need to understand our customers. What are their desires? What makes them stop and think? What triggers them to act right away?
This is where empathy map joins the game.
Customer Empath Map for Shopify Growth
Here are nine questions we need to answer about our ICP;
There is no 100% correct answer for all of these questions. Main idea is getting a general understanding of our customers. Best practice for this process is getting started with the help of AI and continue with a quick brainstorming session.
I explained each details at Empathy Map post. Check it out to learn more.

2. High Quality Content

As Bill Gates pointed Content is king and it will be always!
Video, blog, visuals, podcasts, photos, emails, ad copy, infographics… Format doesn’t matter, we always consume content. Today everyone can create content but it’s quite rare to find helpful, high-quality content. When people find a content that really has a point of view, teach something or really enjoying they just get stick with it.
You need to create contents for each step of your sales funnel. Now let’s take a look at each step and content you should be using.

Attention Content

Did you heard lead magnet term before? It’s used for B2B sales funnel. When building your shopify sales funnel, you need to build your own customer magnet contents. In this stage of the funnel, we need to earn the attention of target audience.
Let’s say we have a Shopify stores that selling high-end, organic clothes for new borns. Our ICP will be new parents who care about chemical-free clothes and sensitive about environment and also afford high-end products. Store, products, brand looks perfect. Let’s design the first step of our sales funnel. We have two options.
  1. Following Common Advices: We can start with great visuals for advertisement, giving huge discounts and try to work with influencers. Our message will be like “our products cheaper, better, etc. then others”
  2. Focusing on Customers World: We can focus on our ICP and work on something different like “7 things you need to know before buying a clothes for your little ones”, “What scientific researches shows about the chemicals on baby clothes” etc.
We need to get attention, right? Giving 50% off, Influencer campaign or direct, real content marketing point to real customer concerns. If you don’t want to waste your money with never ever go with the first common expert advice.
Focus on your ICP, discover their pain points and concerns and offer them a content that educate them.
In our baby clothes example, instead of “my products are best for your baby health”, I prefer to first explain clothes affects on babies and common threads on the market.
Checklist for attention content
When you create your content that passes all items in this checklist, you can now working on your content format.
It can be webinar, free ebook download page, long form blog content, YouTube video, email course… My approach is first creating the core content and creating multiple formats using the same core content.

Interest Content

Think your sales funnel like a movie. There are a huge story contains some certain sections. If it is well designed, there should be flow between these chapters. You shouldn’t be able to identify moving from one section to other section.
Previous stage of the funnel we get the interest of our potential customers with offering a solution to their pain points, concerns in an educative and interesting content. In other words we sell the problem. But it’s not enough, we also need to sell the solution, too.
So in this stage you can start mentioning about your brand and products.
If we need to continue our previous example, let’s say we created some contents like “7 things you need to know before buying clothes for your baby”. We get their attention and educate them about the high quality, organic clothes and its’ effect on the babies health.
Now in this stage we need to start talking about our brand and products. So our concept can be something like “how we designed 100% baby friendly clothes”. You need to show how your products better than competitors and give the answer of “why should I buy this product from this brand”.

Decision Content

This is the last step before completing the funnel. This is highly related with your business strategy.
Now our leads aware of the problem and the solution we have.
However they can have other concerns like shipping costs, duration, return guarantees, etc.
My favourite content for this stage is offering real customer reviews, showing before and afters and mentioning about guarantees.
It can change based on the business model but for an average Shopify store it’s quite important to have a fast shipping process and offering free return and refund guarantee.
I highly recommend to create separated pages for shipping, return and refund policy pages along with detailed about us page. There are some text you need to use for legal reasons. However you need to explain these issues simple and plain at the top.
Also after getting some traction and sales, you can work with some in-depended influencer kind of people. They can review your products, mentioning about pros and cons.
All of the offer (discount, free shipping, etc.) should be made in this stage of the visitors.

Action Content

Based on AIDA framework, action is the step finally we convert total strangers to our customers. You might think now it’s okay but nope, it’s not okay.
After checkout is a huge step for Shopify stores. There are a few actions you can take and fuel your sales funnel.
  1. Asking referrals: It’s highly likely that your new customer has at least a few friends around that can be your customers too. Why do you just ask them to share your brand with their friends? Checkout Discover The Hidden Growth Channel: Referrals.
  2. Surveys: After checkout surveys are great way to learn about your customers. My favourite question is “what makes you think most before completing your order?”
  3. How to Use It Content: This can be change based on your products but if there is a chance you can educate your customers about your products, don’t miss this. Give them resources to make most of your products.
  4. Check If They’re Happy: This should be triggered after customers get the products. Start email automation after customer gets the product and check if they’re happy with it. If they’re happy don’t forget to ask them for a review.

3. High Quality Experience

So far we mentioned about the AIDA sales funnel framework and how to build sales funnel content for your Shopify store.
Focusing on content with ICP and empathy map is a great start for higher conversions but it’s the start.
User experience during this process can be boost or destroy your sales just like content quality.
Formula is very simple: High Quality Content + High Quality Experience = Higher Conversions and Sales
This is also highly related with your branding, too. Invest enough time and resources to create high quality experience.
Like if you’re using ebook with a landing page, it should be clean, fast and looking great on mobile devices. Ebook should be looks like an high-quality ebook. Emails should be well-designed.
Don’t forget to check How to Grow Shopify Store and Conversion Rate Optimization Guide to learn more.

2024.05.18 17:16 SharonsMagicCream What is CBD

CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is the second most prevalent of the active ingredients of cannabis (marijuana and hemp). While CBD is an essential component of medical marijuana, it is derived directly from the hemp plant, which is a cousin of the marijuana plant. CBD is a component of marijuana (one of hundreds), by itself it does not cause a “high.” According to a report from the World Health Organization, “In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.” For many years, federal law lumped hemp in with other cannabis plants, which were effectively outlawed in 1937 under the Marihuana Tax Act and made “officially” illegal in 1970 through the Controlled Substances Act. The plant Cannabis sativa has two primary species, hemp and marijuana. Both contain CBD oil, but there’s a much higher percentage in hemp, which also has very low (less than 0.3%) levels of THC compared to marijuana. Growers/farmers can now legally cultivate hemp, thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill. What is a cannabinoid? To understand how hemp oil products work in the body, you need to first understand the endocannabinoid system (ECS), a part of the mammalian central nervous system. You and everyone you know — even your furry friends — have endocannabinoid systems (ECS). The ECS is thought to play a crucial role in many bodily functions, including appetite, sleep, mood, and injury mitigation. How do cannabinoids work in the body? In general, the ECS can be thought of as your body’s regulatory committee. When things get out of balance, the ECS steps in to bring order to the chaos, also known as homeostasis. Our bodies produce chemicals called endocannabinoids. Our bodies have two networks of cannabinoid receptors: CB1 and CB2. CB1 receptors are found in our connective tissues, gonads, organs, and throughout the nervous system. CB2 receptors are mostly dispersed through the immune system and related organs. However, both versions can be found in a wide range of bodily tissues. The evidence for CBD (Cannabidiol) health benefits CBD has been touted for a wide variety of health issues, but the strongest scientific evidence is for its effectiveness in treating some of the cruelest childhood epilepsy syndromes, such as Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS), which typically don’t respond to antiseizure medications. In numerous studies, CBD was able to reduce the number of seizures, and in some cases it was able to stop them altogether. Videos of the effects of CBD on these children and their seizures are readily available on the Internet for viewing, and they are quite striking. Recently the FDA approved the first ever cannabis-derived medicine for these conditions, Epidiolex, which contains CBD. CBD is commonly used to address anxiety, and for patients who suffer through the misery of insomnia, studies suggest that CBD may help with both falling asleep and staying asleep. CBD may offer an option for treating different types of chronic pain. A study from the European Journal of Pain showed, using an animal model, CBD applied on the skin can help lower pain and inflammation due to arthritis. Another study demonstrated the mechanism by which CBD inhibits inflammatory and neuropathic pain, two of the most difficult types of chronic pain to treat. More study in humans is needed in this area to substantiate the claims of CBD proponents about pain control.

2024.05.18 17:15 renedesu How to get traffic for a personal blog with no niche

I'm thinking of starting a personal blog as a hobby with no intention of monetising. Would like to blog about my various interests like travel, personal development tips, book reviews etc. (probably more like a lifestyle blog model?) Not very keen on narrowing down to one specific niche.
I'm not concerned with making a substantial income out of this but hope to at least get some engagement and traffic. Would ideally like to find a community of bloggers with similar types of personal blogs that I can read and interact with as well.
Is there a good way to achieve this and are there still people who just blog for fun? I'm open to using Instagram / Twitter to promote my blog and will learn about SEO. Thanks!

2024.05.18 15:27 Digitalmainstream Step-by-Step Guide on making the website live on google and rank it with upgraded SEO practices.

In this guide, I’ll share a detailed, step-by-step process on how to make your business website live on Google. We’ll explore every tool you’ll encounter along the way.
After going live, I’ll share my effective SEO strategies that have consistently worked for websites of all sizes.
  1. Website Development
a) Choosing the Technology: Many business owners struggle with choosing the right website platform. Here are two crucial factors to consider when selecting technology: Budget and Control. Ideally, you should choose a technology you can manage yourself until your business scales up, and that fits your budget. Popular options include Shopify and WordPress.
b) Choosing a Developer: It’s crucial to choose the company or person who will build your website wisely. Unfortunately, many developers build websites without consulting the marketing team. This can result in a poorly structured website that hinders your ability to convert visitors into customers.
2. Website Submission on Search Engines (Google)
Once your website is developed, the first step is to submit it to a search engine, like Google, for crawling and indexing by its bots. These bots read websites, and if they find your web pages well-structured, they will start serving them in search results. Here’s how to submit your website to Google:
a) Google Search Console: This is a free Google tool that allows you to submit your website to Google after development. You can create an account here. Once you create an account, the Google bot will crawl your webpages. Pages without errors will be listed on Google. For pages with errors, you can fix the issues and resubmit them.
Additional Benefits of Google Search Console:
b) Google Analytics: Another free Google tool, Google Analytics helps you understand your website visitors. It tracks where visitors come from, which pages they interact with, their navigation paths, and exit points. You can explore a demo of the Analytics dashboard here:
c) Google Tag Manager: This free Google tool acts as a central hub for managing all the tracking codes (snippets of code) used on your website or app. Instead of manually adding each code directly to your website’s codebase, you can manage them easily through GTM’s user-friendly interface.
GTM allows you to connect tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, social media pixels, and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Hubspot).
You can create a Google Tag Manager account here:
3. Search Engine Optimization — Reach the Top of Google Search
Your website is now developed and indexed by Google. The next step is to improve its ranking and attract organic traffic through Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
a) Keyword Research: The Art of Finding the Right Words
SEO starts with thorough keyword research. Here are four sources to identify relevant keywords:
i) Your Website: Analyze your website content to understand your core business model and identify phrases that describe your products or services. These phrases become your initial seed keyword.
ii) Search Engine Results Page (SERP): Explore keywords related to your initial list. Use an incognito window to avoid personalized search results. Here’s how:
iii) Google Keyword Planner: This free tool by Google provides insights into search volume for various keywords, helping you discover new keyword opportunities. Sign in with your Google account to access it.
iv) Paid Tools: Consider using paid SEO tools for advanced features like competitor research, backlink analysis, site audits, and more comprehensive keyword data (including search volume). While these tools can be expensive, some services offer affordable access to premium features. Remember to prioritize keywords with low competition and high search volume. Pay attention to the data update time — outdated keyword difficulty scores can be misleading (e.g., avoid using data updated 3 months ago).
On-Page Optimization: Optimizing Your Website for Search
With your keyword research complete, it’s time for on-page optimization. This involves both technical and non-technical aspects:
Off-Page Optimization: Building Backlinks and Website Authority
Backlinks are crucial for increasing your website’s authority in Google’s search results. Think of them as recommendations from trusted sources that vouch for your website’s value. Building backlinks requires consistent effort:
Remember, relevance is key! Google prioritizes websites that demonstrate topical relevance in all aspects of SEO.
Now you have the roadmap to conquer Google search and achieve top rankings! Take action today, implement these SEO strategies, and watch your website climb to the top. Remember, SEO is a continuous process, so stay focused, adapt, and keep providing exceptional value to your audience.
Feel free to leave any questions or DM me if you want to know more about it. Good Luck!

The Consciousness Connection and the Virtual Experience Model

INTRODUCTION

This article is based on my chapter in Volume 2 of the 2022 book “A Greater Reality.” This compendium published and edited by Rey Hernandez can now be viewed without charge on the CCRI, Consciousness and Contact Research Institute’s web site, links provided at the end of this narrative.

A familiar statement by members of the public is, “I’ll believe in flying saucers when I see one.” As the saying goes, “Seeing is believing.” During my many years of contact activism, I have learned that “believing” can also lead to “seeing.” The aim of this report is to describe two important features of the contact experience. The first concerns how UAP intelligences shape encounters depending on the existing beliefs and expectations of contact experiencers. The second theme is that intelligences responsible for flying saucers employ what from a physicalist perspective is “illusion” as a mechanism of contact. I present a case in which both mechanisms were likely employed.

Readers of this blog please note the following: This narrative was originally conceived when I was writing about UFOs from within what can be called a “physicalist” or philosophical materialist’s perspective. This paradigm makes the metaphysical assumption that mass/energy is the wellspring of creation, and that mind/consciousness is merely a product of brain activity.

More recently with the assistance of my friend and publisher Rey Hernandez, I have increasingly viewed this physicalist assumption as flawed. If Consciousness is primary, not mass/energy then the psi mediated mechanisms of contact might be viewed as being closer to the wellspring of creation (and therefore perhaps more “real”) than the construct of our senses that we call “physical reality.”

My changing metaphysical views have been propelled in part by the “simulation hypothesis” that has gained some popularity within professional scientific circles. My growing acceptance of Consciousness being primary, and that the physical world is an illusion therefore compels me to view technologically based psi technology as creating “illusions” within the physical realm that could very well be an illusory simulated reality as well. In Eastern mystical traditions, the illusory nature of the physical world is called “Maya.”

THE CONSCIOUSNESS CONNECTION

It has been said that UAP intelligences are able to access experiencers’ consciousness as readily as you and I access light by turning on a wall switch. Among contact experiencers it is common knowledge that the so-called “aliens” are totally telepathic. In my opinion, such awesome power also allows them to readily access our entire storehouse of memories. This capability, when combined with their ability to create psi mediated “illusions”, enables them to co-create with us any kind of encounter that you and they can “co-imagine.”

THE PHENOMENON IS “REFLECTIVE”: THE RADICAL CONCEPTS INTRODUCED BY JOHN KEEL

John Keel,(1930- 2008) was a legendary UFO and paranormal researcher and author. He published over a dozen books. These include the “The Mothman Prophecies” (1975), that was made into a successful film starring Richard Gere. In 1966, Keel entered into an intense investigation of the flying saucer phenomenon. As part of this study, he read thousands of local newspaper articles on UFO sightings provided by clipping services. He travelled across the United States interviewing hundreds of witnesses. Keel coined the term MIB (Men In Black).

In 1967, after just one year of his intense field investigations, he abandoned the extraterrestrial hypothesis. He did so because of, “an astonishing overlap between psychic phenomena and UFOs...” Famous investigators like Dr. J. Allen Hynek and Dr. Jacques Vallee eventually came to similar conclusions. John Keel was one of ufology’s most controversial writers and his work still influences current debates about the nature of the flying saucer phenomenon.

Keel, in his classic book, “The Mothman Prophecies” discusses how flying saucer intelligence manipulated his own investigations in ways that reinforced his beliefs about what was going on. On page 111 he states,

“I was being led to people and cases to support whatever theory I was working on at the time. I tested this by inventing some rather outlandish ideas. Within days I would receive phone calls, reports, and mail describing elements of those ideas. This was the feedback or reflective effect. Other investigators concerned with solving problems such as how flying saucers are propelled have automatically been fed, or led into, cases in which the witnesses supposedly viewed the interiors of the objects and saw things which confirmed the investigators' theories. If the phenomenon can produce any effect through hallucination, it can easily support any theory.”

As a physician I prefer the term illusion rather than “hallucination” to describe the mechanisms involved in Close Encounters. Hallucinations, from the medical point of view, are manifestation of disease states and should not be applied to encounters with non-human intelligences in which the witnesses are generally not ill.

According to my analysis, psi-mediated technologically induced illusions are being presented to human subjects. This noted, I cannot over emphasize the importance of Keel’s above quote from “The Mothman Prophecies.” In addition, it is important to note that the reflective nature of the contact experience exists on both a societal as well as an individual level. Researchers John Keel, Dr. Jacques Vallee and others have aptly observed that the appearance of the UAPs reflect the cultural expectations of each historic period in which they have manifested.
Thus, to the ancient Chinese, they appeared as “dragons.” During the 1890s airship wave in the USA, they took on the appearance of Zeppelins that would be built a few years later. For the last sixty years, as we have gotten out into space, they are now thought of as “extraterrestrial.”

The following narrative is an example of an encounter that is both “illusory” as well as reflective of one’s own beliefs about what the phenomenon is “supposed to be.”

Mystery Helicopters in the Sepulveda Pass

During the mid 1990s, I was a Working Group Coordinator in Los Angeles for the CE-5 Initiative. This involved staging what I now call Human Initiated Contact Events (HICE). My contact team regularly travelled to remote locations in the high desert. There we used consciousness techniques such as meditation and thought projection to stage limited interactions with UAPs. To our surprise UFOs appeared not only during our fieldwork but also during everyday types of activities. These multiple data points helped me understand the psychic mechanisms used to engineer Close Encounters.

During the five years that I was a contact team leader, my sightings occurred, not only during fieldwork, but also in my West Los Angeles neighborhood. Some of the sightings demonstrated a flat two-dimensional quality. This made me suspect that they were not physical objects at all. Instead they appeared to be visual displays that were being produced by some kind of holographic technology. As the result of these encounters, I developed a new model incorporating the role of illusion as a mechanism of contact. I call this theory, The Virtual Experience Model.

The Virtual Experience Hypothesis

Virtual Experiences of the First Kind (VE-1) are illusory visual displays of structured objects or “alien” beings that typically convince witnesses that they are physical “craft” or “extraterrestrials” beings respectively.

Other categories include the psychic creation of a kind of virtual reality that produces a full sensory illusion that is convincingly real to the human subject. I designate this type as a VE-2.

The final major category is Virtual Experience of the Third Kind (VE-3). In this setting, artificial memories are implanted into the consciousness of the contact experiencer. Although the witness recalls seeing a non-human being or remembers going on-board an ET craft, according to this scenario no such event has actually transpired. The false memory does the job of convincing the witness that was happened was “real”, i.e., a physical event.

A HIGH LEVEL CONTACTEE JOINS THE TEAM

One member of our HICE/CE5 Los Angeles group was a high level contactee from the former Soviet Union. I refer to him as “Misha Goldman”, a pseudonym. He worked as an EKG tech in the Kaiser Hospital where I was employed. He was what you might describe as a “human UFO magnet.” As soon as he joined the group our level of contact, as measured by the appearances of UAPs, increased dramatically. I deemed it highly likely that he had direct telepathic communications with what contactees might call “friends in high places.”

Living just a few miles from Hollywood, “the entertainment capital of the world,” I thought that perhaps Misha’s boost to our contact efforts was analogous to how Hollywood describes climbing the ladder of success. “It’s not what you know, but who you know” that facilitates getting the next job as an actor, director or producer.

MISHA’S PROBLEMATIC SIGHTING OF A FLYING SAUCER & MYSTERY HELICOPTERS IN THE SEPULVEDA PASS

One Tuesday morning during Easter Week in 1994, Misha called me at home to describe a sighting that he had the previous evening. While driving on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley he reportedly saw a typical disc shaped UAP flying overhead. It was about 1000 feet up and approximately thirty feet across. Misha was not the only member of the team that was having sightings while driving, but what made this sighting highly unusual was that this saucer according to Misha was being chased by several military helicopters.

Based on my growing suspicion that some UFO sightings are illusory in nature, I told Misha that there were features of his sighting that were problematic. It is important to point out that the San Fernando Valley had a population in 1994 of about one million people. In addition, there are no major US military facilities located nearby. I told him that his assessment that the military helicopters were chasing an “alien craft” didn’t make much sense. The flight characteristics of some UAPs include their ability to fly circles around top performance military aircraft. Slow moving helicopters in pursuit mode would never be able to keep up with a “real flying saucer.” So, then what was going on?

Reverse Engineered Craft was not a likely Explanation

I suggested to Misha another possibility. What if the flying disc were a top-secret prototype military device? Then, perhaps the helicopters were escorting it rather than chasing it. This notion was reminiscent of the famous Cash-Landrum Incident in which supposedly a reverse engineered radioactive craft accompanied by US military helicopters injured several witnesses on the ground. However, there was a problem with this possible explanation. The densely populated San Fernando Valley was the least likely place for the authorities to test such a craft. Just imagine the uproar with thousands of witnesses if the saucer had to stage an emergency landing in a community of a million people. Prized government/corporate assets were better kept secure, way out in the desert where they might be secretly developed, and test flown.

I told Misha that the entire sighting might have been a kind of “theater of the mind production.” (This conversation occurred years before I coined the term Virtual Experience describing the role of illusion as a mechanism of contact.) Instead, I told Misha that the disc he had seen over the 101 might be the product of some kind of advanced alien “mind control” technology.

“Helicopters” vs Bizarre Visual Displays

After making this sweeping speculative analysis of Misha’s encounter on the phone, and feeling quite proud of myself at that, I said good-bye to my contact team buddy. I set off to work, driving on the 405 Freeway. I didn’t want to be late for the noon doctors’ meeting. Back in 1994 my department was still offering fresh donuts at conference and I didn’t want to miss my share.

So, there I was, driving through a sea of cars, on what seemed like a normal Tuesday afternoon. Or was it? As I reached the middle portion of the Sepulveda Pass, I noticed something a bit strange. Above the eastern rim of the canyon, I saw two military helicopters. This in and of itself was strange. There are no major military bases located near the City of Los Angeles. What was even more bizarre was that both choppers were vintage aircraft. One was an old Sikorsky, the kind first used in the Korean War. I recognized its typical large rounded nose with the cockpit located high up above the main cabin. The other was a Huey, a Bell UH 205, the standard workhorse helicopter of the Vietnam War.

I was immediately struck by the wild colors on both craft. The Sikorsky, instead of the standard military dark green was a brilliant candy color green. It looked like something out of a circus. The Huey appeared a bit more respectable. It was painted a darker olive color, but the bright green circle surrounded the US star insignia on the side of the craft just didn’t look right. Both helicopters were slowly moving back and forth above the over the canyon. They appeared to be no more than 200 feet above the rim. This was several hundred feet below the minimum altitude required by government regulations when flying over densely populated areas.

A Coincidence or an Example of what John Keel Would call the “Reflective Factor.”

I thought to myself, “This is very strange.” I have a conversation with Misha about his sighting possibly being a simulated visual display and then I am witness to craft that were fit for a carnival. I had specifically mentioned to Misha the notion that helicopters might be used as props in his sighting. Now I was witness to not one, but two bizarre “identified flying objects.”

Was this just an amazing coincidence, or was I being given a rather theatrical visual display similar to Misha’s? The sequence of events in retrospect suggests that the “reflective” aspect of UFO intelligence as described by John Keel was in effect. I had formulated a “belief” that the craft and helicopters from the previous night were illusory in nature, and as if to confirm my “pet theory” bizarre helicopters were flying overhead. Things got even stranger however. I wondered if Misha’s sighting was a kind of a test as to whether I would choose to attempt to interact with UFO intelligence.

On the chance that the choppers were psi mediated visual displays and not “physically real” and were produced by a telepathic non-human intelligence that might be able to communicate with me, I decided to “send out” a mental message of welcome. This, after all, was part of the contact protocols that I was employing during fieldwork. As my vehicle approached the top of the Sepulveda Pass, I was doing about 55 miles per hour. I watched the helicopters located now above me and to the right. They were still moving back and forth perpendicular to the freeway.

Human Initiated Contact Event: Was a Consciousness Connection Evident?

Not actually expecting a response from the craft overhead, I sent out a mental message of welcome. My 1983 Toyota Camry reached the crest of the Sepulveda Pass. The San Fernando Valley stretched out before me. As always, I took pleasure in the spectacular panoramic view. I accelerated as I headed down the hill into the Valley. To my surprise, I noticed that the Huey had broken away from the Sikorsky. It was headed my way! Just another coincidence?

The Huey was now above my vehicle, and I noticed that it was descending rapidly. It kept pace with me, flying just a few dozen yards out front. I had a perfect view of its underbelly through my windshield. The chopper leveled out at less than 100 feet above the roadway. I could hear the chopper’s engines, but they seemed quite muffled. The roar should have been deafening, but it wasn’t. My heart pounding, I continued to silently chant welcoming thoughts.

For about one mile, we traveled together. As we passed the Sepulveda Basin Dam, the Huey moved off to the west. I looked towards the walls of the reservoir, (a favorite “shoot site” for film crews.) The large concrete plaza in front the dam was totally deserted. Apparently, the choppers were not part of a Hollywood action movie being filmed on the spillway of the reservoir.

After the medical conference, I worked an evening shift in the ER. I then called Misha and told him about the helicopters in the Sepulveda Pass. Was the appearance of the helicopters an example of the “reflective aspect” as described by John Keel? Did I really have a contact experience while driving through the Sepulveda Pass? I suppose skeptics would reject any positive interpretation of the events as nothing more than “UFO fan club wishful thinking.” Coincidence might explain all. I should point out however that prior to this experience, I had never been buzzed by a helicopter while driving, never before and never since for that matter. It all might have occurred by chance. But I don’t think so!

This multivolume work is published by the newly formed The Consciousness and Contact Research Institute (CCRI) and supports the concept that consciousness rather than mass/energy is the wellspring of creation.
