🔗Carhartt Insulated Bib Coveralls - Black

These Carhartt Men's Washed Duck Insulated Coveralls have been my go-to choice for work and outdoor activities. The cotton material has a comfortable and almost broken-in feel right out of the box, making them perfect for long hours on the job. Plus, the quilted nylon lining with midweight polyester insulation keeps me warm even in the coldest temperatures.
One thing I noticed, though, was the adjustable closure. It's great that it's adjustable, but I found it a bit tricky to find the right fit. And while the full-length two-way zipper with storm flap is helpful for easy on and off, the brushed tricot trim on the interior collar doesn't seem to stay tucked in as I'd like.
Overall, I'd say these coveralls are a solid choice for a rugged, insulated workwear with some minor adjustments needed.

The Carhartt insulated coveralls are the perfect addition to my work wardrobe. The 12-ounce, 100% ringspun washed cotton duck fabric feels both durable and comfortable, allowing me to focus on the task at hand without any distractions from my clothing. One of the features that stood out to me was the quilted nylon lining, which provides a midweight polyester insulation that helps me stay warm during the colder months without overheating.
While the ankle-to-waist zippers are convenient for easy entry, I found it a bit cumbersome to reach the pockets of my work pants underneath the coveralls. Additionally, the 360-degree kick panels make it easy to keep out the cold, but I wish they had a two-way function for a more comfortable fit. Overall, I believe the Carhartt insulated coveralls have a lot of potential, and with a few improvements, they could become even more versatile and comfortable for those of us who work long hours outdoors.

🔗Carhartt Firm Duck Insulated Bibs: Rugged and Breathable Workwear

These Carhartt Loose Fit Firm Duck Insulated Bibs are a dependable companion for those who work hard, play hard, or love to stay warm in various weather conditions. The quilted nylon lining around the waist area ensures easy on and off, while the polyester insulation provides mid-range warmth.
The bib pockets are useful and practical, with plenty of room for your belongings. Despite the occasional fussiness with the pockets, reviewers have praised this bib's durability, ease of movement, and smart design aspects.
It's been a consistent, hardworking favorite in their wardrobe, which speaks volumes about its value and the confidence one can have in Carhartt's craftsmanship.

🔗Carhartt's Flame-Resistant Quilt-Lined Duck Bib Overall - High-Quality, Heavy Fabric Workwear

https://preview.redd.it/3xpz36k9wc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0d0a2ea78f45059d665896afcdce05589fb8f013
During my journey of using the Carhartt flame-resistant duck bib overall, I found myself in situations where I needed to put it through some tests. After wearing it for a few weeks, I noticed that it met the expectations for durability and warmth, as it's designed for cold weather work. The bib overall had a high back with elastic suspenders and center-release buckles, which improved its longevity by providing sturdiness. However, I also noticed that it lacked a few features that would have made it more comfortable, such as a soft fabric lining.
Through my experience, I have discovered that this bib overall is great for those who need flame resistance and warmth in their workwear. While it might not be the most comfortable option, it does offer a level of protection and durability that many other options cannot match. Additionally, I have found that it's suitable for people who are taller, as the leg zippers go ankle to thigh, providing enough room for easy on and off. Nonetheless, it is essential to follow safety precautions and take proper care of the bib overall so that it serves its purpose effectively.

🔗Warm and Durable Carhartt Duck Bib Overall with Insulation and Tool Pockets

I recently had the chance to try out these Carhartt Brown Duck Bib Overalls with a quilt-lined design. First off, let me say that I was impressed with its durability right out of the box - it felt heavily built and sturdy, perfect for tackling any task on hand. The quilted lining made it an ideal choice for colder months, keeping me warm and comfortable even when the temperatures dipped.
One of the key features that stood out for me was the zip-to-knee leg zippers. It made getting in and out of them a breeze, especially when I needed to switch between tasks or remove them quickly during a break. Plus, the fact that it accommodates kneepads was a huge plus, offering great protection for my knees and back.
However, one downside I noticed was the zipper on the back left pocket. It seemed to stick occasionally and wouldn't close properly, resulting in a bit of hassle when I needed to access the tools stored inside. The pocket design also wasn't as deep as I would have preferred, which made it more challenging to hold larger items.
Despite that, my overall experience with these quality Carhartt bibs was quite positive. The water-repellency ensured that I stayed dry even when working in damp environments, and the adjustable front-elastic suspender ensured a comfortable, customized fit. With a robust construction and multiple pockets that proved to be quite useful during my work, these bibs were a great addition to my collection.

🔗Carhartt Insulated Bib Overalls: Durable and Comfortable Winter Workwear

I recently had the chance to try out the Carhartt R02 Bib Overalls and I must say, they exceeded my expectations. Constructed with a mid-weight nylon quilted to polyester lining, these bib overalls are perfect for cold weather. The high back with elastic suspenders and leg zippers with protective wind flaps and snap closure make them both comfortable and functional.
One of my favorite features is the ample storage provided by the hammer loop and ruler pocket on the left leg, and the tool pocket in the right leg. The addition of metal rivets at stress points and double knees with clean out bottoms also adds value to the product. While the reversed leg pocket configuration may take some getting used to, overall, the Carhartt R02 Bib Overalls are a great investment for those who want warmth and durability in their workwear.

Buyer's Guide

Carhartt Insulated Bibs are designed to provide warmth and protection for outdoor workers, hunters, and enthusiasts. These bibs are made from durable materials and come with features that enhance their functionality and comfort. This buyer's guide will help you understand the key aspects of Carhartt Insulated Bibs and make an informed purchase.

https://preview.redd.it/26xc5foawc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4c0f2d65ceddf6a47d31dcd94440a1880a3787e8

Materials and Insulation

The primary concern when purchasing insulated bibs is the quality of materials and insulation. Carhartt Bibs are generally made from heavy-duty cotton or a combination of cotton and polyester. This combination provides superior warmth while maintaining a high level of breathability. The insulation is commonly in the form of fleece or quilting, which traps air to keep you warm in cold temperatures.

Style and Fit

Carhartt Insulated Bibs come in different styles, including full bib, waist-length, and jacket-style bibs. Full bibs provide maximum coverage and warmth, while waist-length and jacket-style bibs offer more flexibility and ease of movement. The fit of the bibs can range from slim-fitting to loose, so it is essential to choose a size that provides a comfortable, yet snug fit. Additionally, consider the adjustable shoulder straps and waistband, which allow for a custom fit to ensure maximum comfort and warmth.

Durability and Maintenance

Durability is a critical factor when investing in Carhartt Insulated Bibs, as they are designed for heavy-duty use. Look for reinforced stitching, ripstop fabric, and tough zippers to ensure long-lasting performance. The bibs can be machine-washed and dried to maintain their durability and prevent shrinkage. When washing, follow the manufacturer's instructions to avoid damaging the insulation and materials.

Additional Features

Some Carhartt Insulated Bibs come with additional features that enhance their functionality and comfort. For example, some bibs may have pockets or hidden stash pockets for storing tools or personal items. Reflective trim or piping can be useful for visibility during low-light conditions. Also, consider the bib's ability to be worn in different configurations, such as zipping off the jacket or converting a full bib to a waist-length bib for added versatility.
When purchasing Carhartt Insulated Bibs, consider the materials and insulation, style and fit, durability, maintenance, and additional features. By taking these factors into account, you can make an informed decision that best suits your needs and preferences. Always consult the product specifications and customer reviews before making a purchase.

2024.05.19 11:58 Hot-Age4220 Open cervix at 22weeks

Good morning everyone. I am in a terrible and scary situation at the moment and I need your advice or experiences. A week ago I was experiencing very thick and intense discharge. I came to the midwives of the hospital , they took a sample to see if amniotic fluid was leaking or if I had the cerix open and also took a sample to check for any infections. All were negative but discharge was getting intense. Two days ago I had my 22 week morphology scan with a different doc than my OB. The doc saw that my service was funnelling quite a lot. He immediately admitted me to the high risk ward and called my doc who came. In the beginning the doc was positive he said ok we will keep u just tonight then you go home and bedrest and I am sure we will reach 34 weeks. Upon my admission they also did about all the tests possible for infection etc. During the night I was feeling a bit weird and that the discharge was getting more watery that the initial mucus so I begged the midwife to check if amnuitic fluid was present and it was. The next day the doc came and told me that my chances of my baby surving are low as he did another ultrasound and saw that the cervix opened further than yesterday and given that fluid is leaking there is no way we can stitch the cervix or put a pessary. I have a long cervix but i am 3cm dilated. Then yesterday he came and said that we have maybe identified the bacteria causing this its ureaplasma and i am being treated for it. I am also on progesterone and magnesium and antibiotics. My doc said that my hope to reach 30 weeks and close to impossible but we will try the best. He told me there is hope but not much. If by Tuesday nothing changes it will be a great sign and we can think of other treatments Anyone had a similar situation? I am so so worried what were your outcomes? Thank you 🙏

2024.05.19 11:57 Interesting_Tangelo1 My cat is destroying me (and my carpets)

Might be a lengthy read.. I always try to give as much detail as possible..
My Mathias is a 7/8 year old neutered male. I found him during a road trip at a truck stop in the middle of no where when he was about a year old. Love him to death. He's the sweetest boy.
We moved to a new apartment back in November. He was great for a few weeks and then everything went downhill again and my carpets were ruined in my living room. In case anyone is wondering, yes, the issues were present anywhere else we've lived as well..
Believe me, I know taking him to the vet is the first step. I took him twice within a month since December last year. Blood work, urine test, fecal test, x-ray.. $1000 later and they said he's slightly constipated, but other than that, completely healthy. He was on dry food up until then because I actually had no idea wet food was better. So since then, he's been fully on wet food with probiotics and Metamucil added (vet recommended). I know saying to go to the vet is the best advice in this scenario usually, but I really wanted to make clear that he's gone and he's healthy.
More context that might be important.. He's fat. He lived with my family while I was in school, and ballooned up in weight. So right now he's on a diet and he's not a very happy camper. So.. not perfectly healthy, but he doesn't have a UTI and his kidneys/heart/etc are fine.
Over the last couple weeks he's started peeing on the carpets in my bedroom. The living room is blocked off so he can't get to the carpeting in there anymore. I'm losing my mind. Last weekend when I barely opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was him peeing. Thing is, he does this and then runs to his food bowl. Maybe 30 minutes ago I turned around and he was peeing in that same spot again. And when I got up to grab paper towels, he ran straight to his bowl. Is this to get my attention? I typically feed him right when I wake up, so when he peed last weekend, I waited nearly an hour to feed him. I didn't want him to think that pee = food. I'm not sure if that was right to do, but I wasn't taking any chances.
I tried everything I saw when I read on reddit about people in similar situations. But I usually end up seeing most advice being about taking the cat to the vet, which is why I'm making my own post.. I've gotten additional litter boxes, different typed of boxes (high sides, low sides, extra wide, etc) I've used different litter (he ended up only liking the one he's always used), I clean the boxes 2 times a day, I've moved the boxes to where he's peeing and he will use it, but he'll still go on the floor next to it. I got a litter robot and then returned it because he wouldn't use it.. I've done almost everything I can think of except hire a behaviorist.
His behavior typically is very laid back. He just wants to be pet and take naps. He'll usually lay on his back next to me so I can scratch his tummy. He likes to play with my hands and run around. Nothing about him tells me he's stressed or unhappy, but I could be wrong? I figured the move at first would definitely stress him out.. but 6 months?
I'm exhausted. I've lived here for 6 months now and I will not have any friends over because I'm SO embarrassed of the smell. It's awful. Those of you who have had cats like this know the toll this takes on your mental health.. I've had this cat for almost a decade. Giving him away is literally the last thing I want to do. But I can't do this for another 5-10 years. I'm at my limit. He's been banished from my bedroom tonight and I put his beds in the kitchen (tile flooring). It breaks my heart leaving him alone like that. I just don't know what to do.
Please, if anyone has dealt with a cat like this, let me know if anything you did helped.. Recommendations for cleaning products to get rid of the smell would be great too.. I've made my peace knowing I'm not getting my security deposit back.. Thanks <3

2024.05.19 11:56 carettarogue How to wean off olanzapine after 1.5 year taking it?

I started having sleep issues after my serious thyroid disease and was prescribed zopiklone. Slowly my body became addicted to it, and my sleep quality became worse and worse. I felt weaker and weaker on it, and needed more for the same effect. Then once I just couldn't fall asleep, so I was prescribed mirtazapine which ruined my liver enzymes, Trittico didn't work. I took instead zolpidem(another sleeping pill) and developed psychotic depression and was hospitalized.
In the hospital they gave me olanzapine which I took for a year and I had the best sleep ever on it. I woke up refreshed, I could go back to college and live my life, so I became more or less functional again, it saved my life too after taking zolpidem for too long.
My psychiatrist changed it to quentiapine after a year because of serious metabolic side effects of olanzapine. My sleeping became non existent after a month, it was much worse than before olanzapine. The quentiapine didn't do the trick, and I went for days wothout sleep, I lost my job, I was in bed all day, and couldn't even open my eyes the fatigue from insomnia was so bad.
I was hospitalized again and was given back olanzapine. The problem is that I already have type 2 diabetes, and metabolic syndrome(high cholesterol, high blood pressure and I'm just 26). I also have thyroid problem and PCOS. I feel like I can't live with the fact that this medication will ruin my body forever and my diabetes and metabolic syndrome worsened by olanzapine will kill me eventually. Even my doctor said that I shouldn't take this medication because of high risk developing serious metabolic issues and heart problems.
What would you do in my situation? I was thinking of slooowly decreasing the olanzapine every month by 2.5 mg and see which is the smallest dose I can still sleep. Or take Xanax beside quentiapine for sleep? But I heard horror stories about Xanax too and it is not reccommended for long term.I feel like I've exhausted my options for medications and I'm left with the medication with the worst side effects for me.
Can you share your story related to sleep and these medications? How should I get rid of olanzapine?

2024.05.19 11:56 PhysicsGamer2 On Reform

As all of you have seen at this point, TE recently signed on to a defensive agreement with other nations, who apparently were not aware of my past, and elected to immediately withdraw from that agreement when learning of it. This is not the primary focus of this post, though, as it is just the most recent instance of a recurring struggle I have been dealing with trying to participate in the international community as a reformed player.
Ever since I made my return and settled in what is now the Temporal Empire, I have been staying away from the spotlight of the international community as best I can, mainly just communicating in DM's and tickets with individual nations, and trying to avoid the conflict that defined my past on this server. When talking with other nations, the other parties are generally extremely hesitant to the point of it being next to impossible to make any kind of agreement, and generally references are made to my past during these talks. This has been frustrating and demotivating to say the least, as I have been trying to participate in Civ in as peaceful a manner as possible, negotiating solutions to conflicts, such as the Gracipie situation, which ultimately ended in negotiation.
These efforts to peacefully exist on the server, however, don't seem to do much of anything to truly change perception of me. At the start, this was rather tolerable, as it was understandable, given the recency of me hitting my lowest point on this server and obby bombing civilian buildings with no military value. Now, nearly 6 months after my release from the pearl for those actions, with me having made efforts consistently to talk to people and make friends, trying to show that I'm reformed, very little has changed in the international community's perception of me.
(On the note of the obby bombing, I want to publicly issue a formal apology for this, as I realized that although I apologized in private, I never publicly took responsibility and apologized for it. The actions I took on October 18th, 2023 were unacceptable, and should never have happened. I am deeply sorry for this)
Thanks to the help of DankGas and others, we have designed the major starting builds of our city and have been actually building it(which I have been very excited to unveil), I have been participating in the global economy by selling wood and XP materials especially, trying to focus my time on Civ on economy rather than conflict. With this most recent instance, though, I must say it's extremely demotivating and frustrating, since all of my efforts have been shown to be seemingly for nothing. With that treaty, it felt like there might actually be a chance for TE to stand as a legitimate member of the international community, having a troubled past but bright future. With the treaty's failure, though, it just feels like all of this will amount to nothing.
I write this knowing it will almost certainly be mocked and copypasta'ed rather than taken as a legitimate request for help and guidance, because at this point I do not believe there is much else that can be done to try to make my intentions clear. I implore you to talk to me, and tell me what I can do to show you that I legitimately want to do better and be a peaceful and contributing part of this community. I don't know what else to do at this point but to make this post in hopes that someone will respond to it genuinely.
If you made it this far in the post, thank you for your time. For the most part I have written this by putting my thoughts down on the page and minor editing, so I apologize if anything isn't as clear as it could be.

🔗Camo Insulated Rugged Flex Men's Jacket: Comfort, Durability & Mossy Oak Pattern

https://preview.redd.it/lqwwde0gvc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3bf382b76ec9dd3560e9e10a00dcf6289ff1a360
My Carhartt Men's Rugged Flex Duck Camo Active Jacket has been a game-changer in my hunting adventures. I've been using it for the past three hunting seasons, and it's been nothing short of amazing. The first thing that caught my attention was its durability; it's held up against some harsh weather conditions. The Rugged Flex stretch technology and elbow pleats allow for easy movement, which is crucial when I'm tracking down my prey.
One of the most impressive features is the DWR finish that provides excellent water resistance. It's kept me dry even during unexpected downpours. The Mossy Oak Bottomland camo pattern truly helps me blend in with my surroundings, making it easier to stay hidden from my quarry.
However, there are few things that could use some improvement. The loose fit means I sometimes experience a bit of wind coming up, but it's not too much of an issue. Additionally, while the zipper quality is solid, it could be slightly longer, as suggested by other reviewers.
Overall, the Carhartt Men's Rugged Flex Duck Camo Active Jacket has been a reliable companion on my hunts, protecting me from the elements and enabling me to focus on the task at hand. If you're in the market for a well-constructed and comfortable hunting jacket, this one should definitely be on your radar.

🔗Carhartt Classic Brown Duck Coat with Corduroy Collar

A couple of years ago, I purchased the Carhartt Men's Firm Duck Chore Coat for myself when I was gearing up for a cold and windy construction project. The first thing that stood out to me about this coat was its heritage-inspired design, reminiscent of the pocket watch era. As time went on, I had the opportunity to test its claims of being water-repellent and wind-resistant, and I can confirm that it lived up to my expectations, even in harsh conditions.
One significant highlight of the Carhartt Chore Coat is its corduroy collar, which has been in use since the late 1930s and has that classic, timeless look. Additionally, the rugged firm-hand duck fabric not only gives it a sturdy feel but also becomes more comfortable with time, making it a reliable piece of outerwear.
As much as I love this coat, it does have a couple of drawbacks. Firstly, the length of the sleeves can be a bit too long for some users, with some having to size down to ensure a comfortable fit. Secondly, the coat's collar could be slightly wider to provide better protection against the wind.
In conclusion, the Carhartt Firm Duck Chore Coat is the perfect choice for those who prioritize comfort, warmth, and durability in their outerwear. Its timeless design and high-quality materials make it a worthwhile investment for anyone looking for a reliable coat that will stand the test of time.

🔗Carhartt Rain Defender Fleece Shirt Jacket

I recently got my hands on the Carhartt Rain Defender Relaxed Fit Hooded Shirt Jacket in Black Heather and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer in my daily life. As an avid outdoorsman, I appreciate the flexibility of this jacket - it's suitable for various weather conditions.
One thing that really stood out for me was the adjustable hood, which ensures good visibility even during a downpour. The high collar also provides additional protection against the elements.
Another highlight is its durability. The Windfighter fleece, combined with the Rain Defender finish, makes it wind and water-resistant, while its triple-stitched main seams add extra strength. Notably, there are ample pockets for all my essentials.
However, there's one issue I encountered with the hood design. It can feel awkward if worn with a cap, though a beanie or hard hat doesn't pose the same problem.
In terms of sizing, I found that the medium size fits perfectly, providing enough room for layering without compromising on comfort. The length of this jacket is another praiseworthy feature - it's just right, even without the 'tall' version.
Lastly, while it's not technically a winter jacket, I believe that with some insulation, it could be the perfect companion in winter. Overall, the Carhartt Rain Defender is a reliable go-to for various weather conditions, offering comfort, durability, and functionality.

I recently got my hands on the Carhartt Super Dux Relaxed Fit Lightweight Mock-Neck Jacket and I must say, I'm quite impressed. The jacket provides excellent protection against wind and light rain, making it perfect for those chilly days when you're outdoors. It's a great piece to layer up with during mild winters.
One of the standout features of this jacket is its flexibility. Thanks to the Rugged Flex stretch technology, I can move freely without any hindrance - whether I'm running errands or engaging in some physical activity. The wind-resistant fabric ensures that my body stays warm even when there's a chill in the air.
However, there's one drawback that I've noticed - the collar. It feels a bit too large and tends to get in the way while turning my head. It would be great if Carhartt could address this issue in future models.
In terms of pocket storage, this jacket delivers as well. There are several secure zipper pockets both inside and outside, allowing me to safely stow away my essentials like tools or supplies.
Overall, the Carhartt Super Dux Relaxed Fit Lightweight Mock-Neck Jacket has become a staple in my daily outdoor wear. Its lightweight design, coupled with its wind and water resistance, make it a practical choice for anyone who spends time outdoors. Despite the minor issue with the collar, I'm highly satisfied with this jacket.

🔗Carhartt Realtreed Xtra Camo Sherpa Lined Active Jacket

https://preview.redd.it/qo0me0ohvc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=119c6715543338880779bc3fcf9bb6e35bebc6c9
Carhartt's Men's Super Dux Relaxed Fit Sherpa-Lined Camo Active Jacket is a warm and durable piece of outerwear that's perfect for hunters and outdoor enthusiasts alike. I recently purchased one in Mossy Oak Bottomland Camo, and I must say, it has quickly become my go-to jacket for all my outdoor adventures.
The first thing that struck me was the quality of this jacket. The 18.1-ounce, 97% nylon/3% elastane fabric feels sturdy and well-made, offering excellent wind resistance and a sprinkle of light rain protection. The Sherpa lining inside is incredibly soft and cozy, keeping me warm even on the chilliest days.
One aspect I particularly love about this jacket is its spacious interior pocket. It comfortably holds my essentials without weighing me down or restricting my movement. The secure zipper left chest pocket is another useful feature, providing an easy-to-access spot for my phone and keys while I'm out and about.
However, there are a few minor drawbacks to the Carhartt Men's Super Dux Jacket that I think are worth mentioning. Firstly, the adjustable hood with a hidden drawcord and cord lock is a nice touch for safety, but I've found that it can be a bit difficult to adjust while wearing gloves. Secondly, the lack of elbow or armpit gussets means that the jacket doesn't always move with me as smoothly as I'd like, especially when reaching or lifting objects.
Despite these small issues, I'm overall very satisfied with my Carhartt Men's Super Dux Relaxed Fit Sherpa-Lined Camo Active Jacket. Its comfort, durability, and practical features make it a standout choice for anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors.

🔗Carhartt Washed Duck Insulated Active Jacket

https://preview.redd.it/4bdckzxhvc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=36a6bbe7e0c8d9b493a04c4249b5b155cca4c5fb
As someone who spends a lot of time outdoors, I have to say that the Carhartt Men's Washed Duck Insulated Active Jacket has been a game-changer for me. I've had this jacket for several months now and it has held up incredibly well.
What stands out the most to me about this jacket is the heavyweight cotton duck fabric. It's not only warm and durable, but it also has a nice, broken-in feel to it that makes it super comfortable to wear. The 3M Thinsulate insulation adds an extra layer of warmth without making the jacket too bulky or heavy.
One feature I really appreciate is the attached hood with low profile adjustment. On windy days, this hood helps keep me protected and warm. Plus, the cord locks make it easy to adjust the fit without having to deal with annoying drawstrings.
Another positive aspect of this jacket is the updated lower front pockets. They're now lined with brushed tricot, which makes them feel much softer and more comfortable against my skin. And when I'm out working in the cold, I love how the pen stall in the right, lower front pocket lets me keep all my essentials close at hand.
However, there is one aspect of this jacket that could use some improvement - the side pockets. They could definitely be deeper, as they don't provide enough room for storing larger items like smartphones or wallets when you're on the move.
Overall, the Carhartt Men's Washed Duck Insulated Active Jacket is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a reliable, comfortable, and stylish cold weather jacket. The durability and thoughtful design features make it well worth the investment, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

🔗Carhartt Super Dux Insulated Jacket for Men

https://preview.redd.it/a8870zgivc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e730e82932cb7e639a5ab1bf179935b5175c57ce
The Carhartt Men's Super Dux Relaxed Fit Insulated Jacket was my go-to for those chilly days. On my latest project in the backyard, the wind was relentless and the rain was coming down hard, but this jacket held its own. The 100-gram Thinsulate insulation kept me toasty and the Rain Defender technology ensured I stayed dry.
One of my favorite features was the Rugged Flex technology that allowed for unrestricted movement. The bi-swing shoulders and flexible elbows made reaching up high or bending over a much easier task. I never felt trapped in the jacket, even when I was getting really active. The hood was also a game-changer, able to protect my head not only from the rain but also from the wind. Plus, the detachable feature was super convenient - I could remove it on warmer days or when I needed to interact with someone face-to-face.
However, I noticed that the interior storm cuffs were loose and didn't keep out the draft as well as I'd like. And while the length was perfect for my needs, it might not suit everyone. Despite these issues, the jacket's high-quality construction, impressive warmth, and rugged design made it a reliable addition to my wardrobe for those harsh conditions.

🔗Carhartt Men's Yukon Extremes Insulated Active Jacket - Black

https://preview.redd.it/dgjxdyqivc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=38aea4fb9e9855187f660b64af25d37d392586f3
Recently, I purchased the Carhartt Men's Yukon Extremes Insulated Active Jacket, and I'm quite satisfied with its performance. As someone who spends a lot of time outdoors, it's important for me to have a jacket that's not only durable but also well-insulated and wind-resistant. This active jacket did not disappoint.
The first thing that caught my attention when I received the jacket was the 3M Thinsulate insulation, which provides excellent warmth without feeling too bulky. I'm particularly fond of the hood design, featuring a drawcord and reflective Carhartt patch. The hood not only keeps me protected from rain and snow but also ensures visibility during nighttime activities.
However, one area where the jacket could be improved is its zipper quality. While the plastic zipper works fine, I'm more accustomed to metal zippers, which are generally more reliable and durable. In addition, the jacket can be somewhat noisy when walking due to the swishy fabric sound - not ideal for hunting purposes.
Despite these minor drawbacks, I believe the Carhartt Men's Yukon Extremes Insulated Active Jacket is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a reliable and well-insulated winter coat. Its attractive design, variety of pockets, and comfortable fit make it a versatile option for both recreational activities and daily life. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase and believe many others will be too.

🔗Carhartt Youth Canvas Insulated Hooded Jacket - Mossy Oak Country DNA

https://preview.redd.it/h1pq5j6jvc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a97cea9c48e41af642305cb09c6436c6033c7afd
I don't know about you, but I'm a big fan of Carhartt - especially their Camo line. That's why I decided to get this Canvas Insulated Hooded Jacket for my son. Let me tell you, it has been a game changer this hunting season!
First off, the quality is top-notch. This jacket is made with heavy-duty canvas and features triple-stitched seams. Even after several washes, it still looks brand new. The quilted flannel lining on the inside also ensures that my boy stays warm and comfortable no matter how cold it is outside.
One of my favorite features of this jacket is the hidden rib-knit cuffs. They keep his wrists toasty and make sure no wind or sleet sneaks in. Plus, the insulated front pockets are perfect for storing his hands or keeping small gear close at hand while he's out in the field.
Now, let's talk about the hood. It's full zip, so it provides ample protection against rain, snow, or even those pesky mosquitoes during summer months. And speaking of zipping, the main zipper is high quality and doesn't get stuck or catch on the fabric.
While the jacket isn't water-resistant, it does dry relatively quickly when hung up, making it easy to clean and maintain. The only downside I've noticed is that the sleeve length could be a bit longer, especially if your child is taller than average.
Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this Camo Canvas Insulated Hooded Jacket from Carhartt. It has everything a young hunter could want - durability, comfort, and style. If you're looking for a reliable and well-made jacket for your little outdoorsman (or outdoorswoman), look no further than this one.

🔗Carhartt Gilliam Insulated Jacket

I recently got my hands on the Carhartt Men's Black Gilliam Jacket and oh boy, it's been a game-changer for my daily life! This insulated jacket is not just about keeping you warm during winter, but also about providing you with some real protection from unwanted dampness. The DWR finish ensures that you stay dry and comfortable even when the weather takes a turn.
One thing I truly appreciate is the zipper closure feature. It's a small detail, yet it does an excellent job of keeping out the cold winds. Speaking of features, it comes with heaps of pockets - some even have protective closures. This means you can carry all your small work essentials without worrying about losing them.
Now, let's talk about the cons. Though I'm not usually bothered by minor issues, I must say the length of the sleeves could be a bit longer. It may not be a problem for everyone, but it did catch my eye.
All in all, the Gilliam Jacket has definitely earned a place in my wardrobe. Its water-repellent capabilities, the myriad of pockets, and the overall comfort it provides make it the perfect companion for these colder days. So if you're looking for a reliable work jacket that doesn't compromise on style or functionality, this one's a solid choice!

🔗Carhartt Men's Full Swing Steel Jacket in Black

https://preview.redd.it/ed4oog2kvc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c64e5eca091121737bcf3d52378aee0819058f35
I've been using this Carhartt Men's Full Swing Steel Jacket for a while now, and I must say, it's been a reliable companion through the colder months. Its 3M Thinsulate insulation keeps me warm and cozy even during the harshest winters, and the DWR finish makes sure I stay dry even when caught in a rainstorm.
One of my favorite features is the detachable hood. It gives me personalized styling options depending on my mood or weather conditions. The jacket's rugged construction is also worth highlighting, as it's made of stretch ripstop for extra flexibility and freedom of movement.
However, I've experienced some issues with the zipper quality. It can sometimes get stuck or hang at every little wrinkle, which can be quite frustrating. Another minor issue is the sizing, as the jacket tends to run on the smaller side, but that's easily fixed by choosing a size larger than usual.
All in all, I'm quite satisfied with the Carhartt Men's Full Swing Steel Jacket. Its combination of style, comfort, and functionality makes it an excellent choice for anyone looking for a versatile and reliable winter jacket.

🔗Carhartt Men's Super Dux Traditional Insulated Coat (Black) - Relaxed Fit, Machine Wash

https://preview.redd.it/or65m7dkvc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=223f52063a4f689bc57b66eea80b81090db51c79
I recently purchased the Carhartt Super Dux Relaxed Fit Insulated Traditional Coat to stay warm during those chilly winter days. The coat's 7.75-ounce nylon fabric is treated with Rain Defender durable water-repellent finish, ensuring that I stay dry even in heavy rain. Additionally, the Wind Fighter technology effectively blocks the wind, keeping me cozy and comfortable.
One of my favorite features of this coat is the quilt-lined insulation with 100g of 3M Thinsulate, providing excellent warmth. The secure hook-and-loop right chest pocket and zipper left chest pocket are perfect for storing my essentials, while the two snap front lower pockets with side entry hand warmers keep my hands toasty. The interior hook-and-look pocket on the wearer's left side offers additional storage space.
I also appreciate the drop-tail hem, which provides extra coverage, and the adjustable hood with chin guard and hidden drawstrings, which protect me from harsh weather conditions. The rib-knit storm cuffs effectively seal out the cold, and the center-front zipper with kissing welt makes it easy for me to put on and take off the coat.
However, there are a few downsides to this coat. The side seam zippers, while providing added movement, can be a bit challenging to use at times. Additionally, the double-stitched main seam, although durable, can feel a bit stiff and may require some breaking in.
In conclusion, the Carhartt Super Dux Relaxed Fit Insulated Traditional Coat is an excellent choice for those looking for a reliable and warm coat for winter. Its unique combination of features, such as the 7.75-ounce nylon fabric with Rain Defender technology, Wind Fighter technology, and 100g of 3M Thinsulate insulation, ensures that you stay dry and warm in even the harshest weather conditions.
Although there are a few minor drawbacks, such as the stiffness of the double-stitched main seam and the occasional difficulty in using the side seam zippers, these issues do not significantly detract from the overall quality and performance of the coat. Overall, I am highly satisfied with my purchase and would recommend this coat to anyone looking for a high-quality winter garment.

🔗Black Men's Rough Cut Jacket by Carhartt

https://preview.redd.it/czaf3k2lvc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bcc3b43f556beb9649b5c230cd8000bbf290a97c
Carhartt's men's Rough Cut Jacket, in black, is perfect for those chilly autumn days. This heavyweight flannel piece, with a sherpa fleece lining in its body and a quilted lining on the sleeves, offers both warmth and style. The original-fit shirt-jac features handwarmer pockets and zippered ones ideal for storing your wallet or keys. If you're an outdoor enthusiast, this jacket can withstand the elements, and after years of use, you'd be hard pressed to find any significant wear and tear on it. Although it's designed primarily for breathability and not as a standalone layer for keeping warm, it pairs beautifully with fleece or down mid-layers.
However, despite its high rating, the jacket does have a few minor drawbacks. The first is that the zipper tends to get stuck, particularly near the neck area, often requiring fiddling for a few minutes. Some users also mentioned they found the arms to be slightly short, as well as the jacket being slightly stiff when new. But these issues seem to be more common with the first batch, with newer models appearing to have resolved these concerns.
In conclusion, the Carhartt men's Rough Cut Jacket is a high-quality, stylish option that provides warmth and comfort while maintaining a sleek appearance. Its wind resistance and pairing ability with other layers make it an ideal choice for fall and winter outings. And although the stiffness and the issue with the zipper might be present initially, they seem to resolve with time and use. Therefore, I would recommend this jacket to anyone seeking a reliable, durable option for their outdoor activities.

Buyer's Guide

Carhartt Hunting Jackets are designed to provide durability, comfort, and functionality during hunting trips. In this guide, we'll cover important features, considerations, and advice for choosing the right Carhartt Hunting Jacket to suit your specific needs.

  1. Durable Materials: Look for jackets made with heavy-duty materials such as cotton duck or polyester, ensuring they can withstand harsh hunting environments and regular wear.
  2. Insulation: Insulation is crucial for maintaining warmth and comfort in cold weather. Consider water-repellent insulation like Thinsulate™ or Quick Dry technology, which dries faster than traditional materials.
  3. Pockets and Storage: Pockets are essential for storing gear and easy access during hunts. Choose a jacket with multiple pockets (including interior and exterior), preferably with zippers or toggle closures to secure items.
  4. Ventilation: Proper ventilation helps regulate body temperature and prevent overheating. Look for jackets with vents, mesh panels, or breathable materials that allow airflow.

Considerations

  1. Weather Conditions: Consider the typical weather conditions of your hunting location. If it's usually cold and wet, opt for a waterproof and insulated jacket. For milder conditions, a lightweight jacket with good ventilation might be sufficient.
  2. Camouflage Patterns: Choose a camo pattern that blends well with the environment where you'll be hunting. Some popular options include RealTree AP, Mossy Oak, and Carhartt's proprietary camo designs.
  3. Fit and Comfort: Ensure the jacket fits well without restricting movement. Consider adjustable features such as cuffs, waistbands, and collar for added comfort and customizability.
  4. Safety Features: High visibility elements like reflective trims and bright colors can enhance your visibility and safety in low light conditions or near roads and highways.

General Advice

  1. Read Customer Reviews: Read reviews from other hunters to get valuable insights about the performance and reliability of specific Carhartt Hunting Jacket models.
  2. Invest in Quality: Although high-quality Carhartt Hunting Jackets may have a higher price tag, their durability and performance make them a worthwhile investment for serious hunters.
  3. Regular Maintenance: Clean and dry your jacket according to the manufacturer's instructions to maintain its water-repellent properties and extend its lifespan.

2024.05.19 11:54 WebGreen5917 AITA for buying my daughter noise-canceling headphones?

Throwaway account, names changed to protect the innocent, you get the gist. Relevant people here are me (M42), my wife Vivian (F42), and my daughter Amy (F14).
Vivian and I are lucky to still have a pretty healthy sex life after almost 20 years together. We have kids in the house so we try our best to be discreet, but a few days ago Amy heard us. We weren't being super loud or anything, but she woke up early and her bedroom is right next door to ours. She texted my wife and I later that day "I could hear you this morning. GROSS!!!!! 🤮🤮🤮"
I think we've done a pretty good job of having healthy discussions with our kids about sex and relationships over the years. But the fact that Amy texted us rather than talking to us gave the impression she didn't really want to have a discussion about it. And I get that. I didn't want to think about my parents' sex life as a teenager either. So I bought Amy a pair of noise canceling headphones and when I gave them to her all I said was "Sorry about the other morning, we'll try to be more discreet in the future but these are just in case."
Apparently that was the wrong thing to say. Amy has been giving me the silent treatment ever since. Vivian tried to talk to her but Amy shut that down too and refused to talk about it.
I think we're just dealing with normal teenage drama behavior but Vivian is worried we handled it badly. Am I the asshole?
tl;dr: Daughter heard my wife and I having sex, I bought her a pair of noise canceling headphones and apologized, daughter is pissed.

2024.05.19 11:50 bluebrrypii PI threatened with writing bad rec letters

I’m 6-7 years into my PhD and expecting to publish and graduate hopefully next year. For many reasons, my PI and I (and basically everyone else in the lab) have a bad relationship. At this point, we are all just trying to keep our heads down, ignore the PI, and publish ASAP so we can graduate and escape.
But recently, the PI threatened everyone with writing bad rec letters/refusing rec letters “if we don’t behave” (ie, do experiments for his company).
In grad school, it seems like your PI is the only professional relation from whom you can ask rec letters from. Is it even possible to get industry jobs or post doc positions if your PI refuses to give you a rec letter?

2024.05.19 11:48 matmannen Development, changes and crises in leaving mormonism.

We must have all heard the terms exmormon vs postmormon. As I understand it, postmormon describes moving away from morminism in full: leaving it's chackles behind you and becomeing the person you were always meant to be. This ofcourse implies a state of serene perfection, you have healed until there is no more healing to be done, but one can always hope.
A mormon life always begins somwhere. Mine began in a small rural town with a mormon-sized family and the only quirky members in a radius of 12 miles (20km). Non-mormon influences were unwelocme at home, so friendships were very difficult and not encouraged. The only real fellowship was during the odd church funtion and being far away it included alot of work.
I grew up and like in every mormon's life there comes the question of marriage. Afterwards I continues the same pattern I grew up with. I moved cities and and in a marriage of 10 years, I continued the same pattern I learned and made no friends. I only really knew my wife and her family.
My marriage ended, in many ways my wife gave me license to lead the life I always wanted. There was half-hearted attendence during covid, but your spirit always wins. Few months later I asked my name to be revoked, I moved cities, new job: I started a new life.
Living life, I eventually found a girldfriend and we started hitting it off. As things were going, I was about to repeat my old pattern, make no friends and only really socialize with her and her family, until everything changed. I decided to come out as bisexual. We opened our relatioship for some exploration and I eventually got a friend with benifits. As time grew, there was alot more friendship than benifits and I started meeting his friends. Now I consider him my best friend, and we hang on the regular just talking, usually over a bottle of wine.
I have been working on fostering my sociallife. I have invited people I life to join me in just talking and meeting. I want friendship. But I feel like this is coing into conflict with my relationship with my girlfriend. She wanted to move fast, but I always held back, and after two years we are talking about moving in together. On the one had I have her, a life of my usual pattern, and on the other I have freedom and striving onwards.
I really don't know what to do, leaving mormonism, life is spunn into a life of trauma and change and I am lost. How have you dealt with the relationships and crises as you left mormonism in full?

2024.05.19 11:47 cuBLea "Dark" MR: Memory Reconsolidation for Fun, Profit, and Psychosocial Manipulation (partial essay)

NOTE: I drafted this before reddit slashed its allowable post size and decided it was unpublishable at that point. A friend strongly recommended I post whatever reddit will allow and if people wanted to see more, I could post more of it. So here's the first segment of it.
Therapeutic memory reconsolidation has a dark side. It's not something typically discussed outside of the coffee rooms of the lab-rat and clinical-practices sets, where the tedium of the current work occasionally gives rise to darkly humorous dystopian speculations.
This dark side is not simply the stuff of mad-science speculation and dark fantasy. In fact, its existence predates even the discovery of the MR process itself. And it has already resulted in mild-to-catastrophic negative consequences for hundreds of thousands of people. (Depending on your perspective, it's conceivable that the current victim count could be in the tens or even hundreds of millions ... we're notorious for undercounting casualties of previously-unrecognized catastrophes. Fair disclosure: I'm one of those casualties.) It's an aspect of MR that I believe is worth knowing about for anyone seeking to exploit MR in therapy either as a practitioner or as a client.
For almost as long as the transformation (i.e. MR) phenomenon has been recognized, there have been tales of sordid applications of this effect. Religious sects, particularly the charismatic ones, have been exploiting the MR phenomenon for thousands of years, typically labeling it as either divine healing or proof of faith. Not that the results aren't beneficial for the individual. In most cases they are. But reconsolidation is only a part of the whole process of restoring health to old psychic wounds. The inducement of therapeutic MR in an individual not ready for the experience can be among the most brutal tortures imaginable, but most of the harm that comes from misapplication of the MR phenomenon can be traced to opportunistic exploitation of the setup for, and aftermath of, the transformational experience, and it's my belief that most of this harm is done by individuals and/or groups with little or no sense of the risks involved in
Keith Raniere's NXIVM organization is probably the most widely-known example of a cult founded largely on a MR-consistent methodology bent to less-than-humane ends. It made national news for years in Canada based on allegations of financial wrongdoing and sexual scandals, its leader was indicted in the US in 2018 and was sentenced to 120 years, and in 2020, not one but *two* major exposé miniseries/docuseries aired on streaming services.
"The Vow" (Mark Vicente's story)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Vow_(TV_series))
Vicente's series orients around his involvement in the growth and promotion of NXIVM, and isn't afraid to get into the weeds around how Raniere strategized and developed the organization's techniques and tactics.
"Seduced: Inside the NXIVM Cult" (India Oxenberg's story)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seduced:_Inside_the_NXIVM_Cult
This series centers more around IO's personal journey with the cult, and the people who were caught up in its darkest aspects.
"The Vow", first to be released, was not a fun watch for me. Thirty years prior to this, I had been ensnared by another cult, closely affiliated with the Unity Church of Today in Warren, MI at that time. Both of these cults exploited phenomena surrounding therapeutic memory consolidation as their primary lures years before we even knew that MR had a scientific footing.
The two organizations had shockingly similar modi operandi. So similar, in fact, that I still suspect that NXIVM's founder might have gotten much of his basic training from CoT's Pavillon resort in Quebec, whose month-long "therapeutic retreat" programs were a clever and completely unabashed cult indoctrination program. Ok ... well ... nearly completely unabashed ... during the month that I attended, we were only told that we were being groomed for the cult on the third-to-last day, by which time they surely knew who was ripe for the picking and who wouldn't be swayed, and were pretty confident of no open objection to such an announcement.
I want to make clear that this is not a word of exaggeration. The head of the "clinic" literally told us that if it felt to any of us like we were being recruited for a cult, he assured us that yes, we were. Nobody gasped, nobody even giggled. And as if to prove that this wasn't just dark humor, the director assured us that it was all fair play on their part since his was "the only cult that matters". That is exactly how confident Pavillon were of their methods. (Or at least they were in mid-1989 ... Pavillon appears to have vanished in the mists of history. Not every great cult idea grows up to make it to the big leagues.)
Neither "Seduced" or "The Vow" actually get under the hood and explain the psychology underlying the cult's success, let alone in context of therapeutic memory reconsolidation. In fact, I'm pretty sure that MR was never mentioned in either series. But right from the introductory/demo sessions presented in the first episode of "The Vow", most readers of this sub will instantly recognize that NXIVM leveraged the benefits and relative simplicity of MR-consistent transformational therapies to capture the attention, loyalty, and ultimately the wealth of prospective cult members.
But that's not nearly enough to lead us to a real understanding of how this happens. If either of these series' had been able to achieve that, this post could effctively end here. It's my belief that those of us who are consumers of MR-consistent services, or who work with consumers, do need this understanding. When the mechanics of the seduction are understood, it doesn't just help us to identify how malignant influences were brought to bear on potential victims, or provide us with a degree of immunity from those influences. It can also help us to better identify and relate to individuals who may be particularly vulnerable to these influences, and not just in therapy cults, but in all cult-like cultural groups, and get a better sense of how we can best communicate with people living under less-than-virtuous influence.
Fortunately, it doesn't appear to be all that difficult to acquire this understanding. Simply knowing basic MR theory and therapeutic application takes you halfway to mastery in a world still largely ignorant of how transformative change works. And the successes of Pavillon and NXIVM, coming as they did well before the general public even knew that MR was a "thing", pretty much proves it. But solving the remainder of the problem appears to involve first understanding how the application of MR-consistent methods could lead to cult exploitation in the first place.
MR-consistent transformational phenomena were relatively common knowledge back as far as the early 1980s in new-age/psychotherapy circles, and were even well-understood by certain inner-circle dwellers. And it was clear at least a decade earlier that certain disciplines practiced in a certain way were capable of producing remarkable therapeutic effects, even if no one could quite explain how or why. All Raniere and Pavillon needed to do was to refine techniques already known to be highly effective and they could reproduce those results. Which is exactly what happened, and this gave these two groups a powerful enticement, or a free sample product if you prefer, for people interested in living better, happier lives. Whatever else they did that we would likely view as objectionable or even evil, they both figured out how to get people to transformational moments in ways which were a lot easier than Erhard Seminars Training (EST), more efficient than religious or mystical practices (Transcendental Meditation, kundalini yoga, visionquesting, etc.), and less exclusive/expensive than a stay at Esalen or a year or two of the "talking cure".
So whatever we may think/feel about their methods, credit where due: they knew a good thing when they saw it and they got the transformational part right. So how did techniques which we rely upon to free us from exploitation by our own nervous systems become tools for THEIR exploitation? On the surface it seems like using MR to coerce and enslave people makes about as silly as trying to poison someone with multivitamins. But there's a clever logic to it, and to understand this we need to look beyond the bounds of MR and the transformational phenomenon, and at how the entire transformation process is managed. (And there's the operative word: managed, not facilitated.
We know MR as the process that underlies transformation. But transformation isn't healing, but only a subprocess within a greater restoration process. Healing doesn't usually even end the process, either. Following transformation, stress must be managed until the subject's next full sleep cycle or treatment efficacy is substantially impaired. Even beyond that, the structure of post-traumatic adaptation leaves the individual vulnerable to retraumatization in the wake of treatment, meaning that in perhaps a majority of cases, the triggers which activate PTS symptoms need to be kept to a

2024.05.19 11:46 Getlost28 Sister bullying me for being fat

My sister visited me from Austin this weekend and started to throw jabs at me and making comments about my weight. I honestly feel so sad. Her and my dad asked if we wanted McDonald’s, I said “sure I’ll take a happy meal” when they arrived she said “ I got you a happy meal with apples because you need them” I asked why because I’m fat? She said “you’ve been fat”. I’m 200 pounds, I just like to mention I’m 6 months postpartum I gained 40 pounds after my pregnancy. I’m struggling at the moment with my weight. I wish I had time to workout but a baby takes all your time, on top of a full time job. I’m trying to eat less and cleaner but I guess it’s not enough. I kept thinking why are people mean to fat people?! Anyway, kind words are appreciated.

2024.05.19 11:45 Critical-Double-1256 I’m not sure if my ex was a narcissist?

I (26F) had been dating my boyfriend (27M) for four months now. He has always been too much ‘in love’ with me from the beginning, and made me feel really safe and understood. However, he has always been a little insecure about my past.
A few days back, I was feeling anxious so I talked to him about breaking up twice in a span of two days. We made up later by discussing our issues but the second time around, he was really aggressive and called me all sorts of names like ‘suck xxx’s cock, you just wanted to sleep around, go sleep with x tonight’ and so on. He also got really angry, was throwing things around, put his hand on the stove and so on and I felt unsafe around him.
After this incident, the respect and love I had for him reached a low and I could tell that I was just not happy/invested in this relationship anymore. Last Monday I went and told him that we should break up once and for all and he didn’t take it well. The next night, he came to my place and tried to ring himself in, and then sent me loads of texts and called me saying ‘I’m trying to get in, sleeping on the bench outside your house’ etc. I again felt very unsafe and scared. I was at a friend’s and I had told him I was safe and okay but he still did this and his justification for that was that I was drunk, he was worried about me and he got me food. He kept asking which friend and whether he was a guy, he just wanted to know who I was with.
A few days before this incident, I had recommended his CV to my place of work and tried to create a position for him, and when I realised that he acted up the way he did that night, I told my manager that I don’t feel comfortable being around him at my workplace.
He still wanted to work things out so he’s been pleading me to give another chance when I am really done, but when he found out I talked to my manager about the job and how I felt uncomfortable, he tried to turn it on me and how I sabotaged him. I feel guilty now, wondering, did I overreact? He said that you put me through hell, my confidence has taken a new low, and all this happened while his dad is in the hospital. (Which I did not know when I had broken up, he told me later. Otherwise I wouldn’t have broken up that time). After this he tried to contact my friends and my sister to convince me to see sense and get back together with him. He even threatened to kill himself because I hurt him so much.
I called him to tell him I’m sorry again for everything that happened and I didn’t purposely tell my manager that since I was the one who tried to get him the job in the first place when there wasn’t even any vacancy but by the end he said he wanted to get back together again. He keeps insisting and so I keep telling him my decision hasn’t changed and he is blaming me for putting him through all of this shit. A few days back, we again met at a common friend’s party and he accused me of flirting with someone at this party. Then he later thew insults at me for an hour, insisted that I give him a chance, after which he followed me to my place when I had a panic attack. After this, he insisted that he entered my place and when I said no, he got mad and started hitting his hand (that he had injured before) on a wall. Then he tried to again enter my place later to apologise. When he realised I wasn’t letting him in, he called one of his friend’s friend to let him inside. She thankfully did not. However, she didn’t let him in. After that, I blocked him from all social media but he created accounts on platforms he wasn’t on to try to talk to me. A week later, he messaged me on Telegram (where I hadn’t blocked him), to tell me he got back together with him. Is he a narcissist?

2024.05.19 11:45 Meeples17 Boomer Cant Accept We Dont Shout and Scream when we Dont Get our Way

I come from a generally abusive upbringing and I just went No Contact with my Family.
I put TLDR at the end. It is alot.
I think Narcicism is part of their entire generational culture after the break with all my Family Elders.
I moved away from home and in with a kind fun loving man. I became stable! I got an amazing job. Best of my career.
My Family couldnt stand it, I wasnt desperate or needy and available for their game playing.
My Dad got angrier and angrier on every phone call. Shouting abuse at me about decision. I should not ever order takeout! I havent got a sizable retirement plan. Dont take a loan on a decent car. You dont have a house. Its a waste. He owns million in real estate and never runs AC in his own house. If he does it for a guest hell tell them how its a big deal. He believes in saving…
The derision continued until I confronted him about hus behaviour. It was a careful well thought out conversation. Complaints are unwelcome in my Family. I told my Dad directly. You are losing your temper everytime were on the phone and Im worried about you. This could be early stage dementia. Will you please see a Doctor?
When I was on disability he loved playing kind supportive Dad. Now Im flying on my own and he is losing his mind.
My criticism led to a years worth of drama. It was a slow creep. He would ask me about work. I thought we were being civil. And then I started getting emails from his Sister. Shes worried about me. His Brother makes a trip to Montreal and he says three different reasons why hes here. I feel checked up on. My Sister calls and reminds me gently. Be careful ya know youre “Special”.
Im legit making 87k a year in a Unicorn Startup. Its amazing.
I lose my job during a round of layoffs. Budget cuts. Didnt make sales targets. Im low hanging fruit. Im going to collect max EI. The company is generous and gives me a months notice so I can jobhunt.
This is my Dads big moment. Hes on the phone checking in and he moves to destroy me. Oh honey! You dont have to lie. You got FIRED! That happens sometimes. Listen. Why dont you move back? Plenty of part time jobs here. Less stress. This always happens to you… (It does not)
I get off the phone shaking. Wtf is this trash. I have two letters of recommendation and lifelong contacts and the launch of a career.
To cut to the chase. He had gone behind my back and started rumours Im doing drugs and lying to the Family constantly. He said my new bf is a drug dealer. He cant understand why I left my Husband (actual drug addict)
Total assault on my character and ran me right out of the Family. Im honestly glad to never talk to any of my 18 Cousins 8 Aunts and Uncles or 6 Sisters and Brothers ever again. None of them believe a word I say anymore. They want that Old Family Money.
Im officially unsafe. And its shocking but. Get wreckt. My Dad thinks hes the King and I MUST worship and faun over him. Puke. I have an opinion.
TLDR. I offended my Father when I called him on his bad behaviour for the first time. So he convinced my entire Family Im in a DV situation and using hard drugs. Noone cares what I say because he pays a lot of their bills… and takes them on vacation around the world.
For Reference see. Crabs in a Bucket. Or. George Carlin. There might be something wrong with you. You might be surrounded by ash holes.

2024.05.19 11:42 Asleep_Magazine_5528 I (25M) made a huge mistake with (24F) - was it the mistake or was she not even interested before this?

I (25M) matched with a girl (24F) on hinge. We were texting each other once every day or so for just over a week then organised to go on a date. The date went great - she did mention that she has accounting exams coming up soon with her job so she was going to be busy the next couple of months. But we both had a great time and I had no doubts we wanted to see eachother again after the date - she even gave me her umbrella to take home as it was raining and she got a taxi home.
We continued texting once a day - finding out more in common and I mentioned that I’m a fan of Mexican food and she said she is too and she said that could be our next date idea. She then asked when I was free and I booked a restaurant (2 weeks after the first date as she was busy due to a family wedding the weekend after the first date). She also mentioned that as it’s September now, it’s go time in terms of revision.
We met up at the restaurant and the date went fine, again no doubts and lots in common. She mentioned that due to a health condition she doesn’t like to drink alcohol when it’s super hot so she ordered a mocktail instead with her food.
We then went to a rooftop bar afterwards which I’d booked as the weather was really warm. When we got to the rooftop, the girl said it feels hotter up here than it does downstairs (which it did) and she asked me to push a button on my side of the table (I think she assumed it may have been connected to a fan). But when I pushed the button the outdoor heaters turned on which was quite embarrassing and the people in the bar started laughing. I laughed too but it did throw me off and make me feel awkward. The girl did apologise to me and them and was laughing too.
But we sat down and continued chatting - I felt the conversation wasn’t flowing as well due to the awkwardness but there were no awkward silences. I ordered a cocktail but the menu was a little limited for mocktails - I did ask her if she wanted to go somewhere else but she said don’t worry it’s ok. She ended up just having water.
Once i finished my drink, she said she’s going to head off so we walked to the train station together - we didn’t stay at the rooftop for very long. I was still feeling awkward as the last part of the date didn’t go how I’d hoped but I asked if she wanted to go out again and she said yeah definitely so I gave her a quick kiss and said bye.
I messaged her on instagram while I was on my way home and just gave her my phone number and said let me know when you’re home.
She texted me that evening and said ‘hey thanks for dinner tonight - honestly next time you have to let me get the bill! It was v good to see you again. Hope you got home okay x’.
I replied that Thursday evening and said ‘hey no worries it’s all good, but you’re organising the next one’. She then reacted to that message with a little heart on Saturday and said ‘how’s your Saturday been, sorry for the late reply been super busy my sister is visiting😂’ - she did mention that her sister was visiting before we went on the second date. I replied on the Sunday with general convo. She replied on the Monday as usual, being communicative, telling me about her weekend and all the things she did and also asking me more about what I was doing. She also said ‘so not a productive weekend in terms of revision😭’
I replied on the Tuesday, making general conversation again. I didn’t hear back from her on Wednesday, Thursday (which was when I started to get anxious) or Friday. I assumed she had a busy week with work and revision so I’d hear back Friday evening. I also noticed that at some point after the second date she changed one of her prompts on her hinge dating profile - a small change from ‘give me travel tips to Thailand’ to ‘give me travel tips to Miami’. She didn’t update any pictures or anything else and as we’d only been out twice I’m guessing this is normal? She also mentioned on the second date that she’d booked her Miami holiday.
I still didn’t hear back from her and then made a massive mistake Saturday morning and sent her another message which said ‘if you weren’t interested why not just say. You’re a bit of an arsehole to say you wanna go out again, pay and all that then just ignore me’. She responded an hour and a half later and said ‘I wasn’t trying to ignore you - I was genuinely busy this week. But you calling me an arsehole is so uncalled for and tbh I don’t want to see someone who’s going to call me names so I’d rather just call it a day’. I called to try and apologise but she didn’t pick up so I messaged ‘I get you’re busy with exams. Like I fully understand that but it takes 2 seconds to say hey I’m busy right now I’ll get back to you. Tbh it comes across like you’re not interested and a bit rude. So I’m sorry I called you an arsehole but I called you as I wanted to chat to you quickly’. She replied and said ‘sorry missed your call - I’m out. Yeah fairs I get that but the exams are my priority. I feel like I’ve said what I need to say and think it’s just best if we leave it here’. I messaged again trying to sort it out but she didn’t reply. I gave it three weeks and apologised more sincerely and she said it’s all good no hard feelings but she’s got a lot on right now so she doesn’t think it would be best to give it a second chance. I said if it’s the exams I don’t mind if you wanna speak again after they’re all done, but she didn’t reply to that message.
I reached out again after a couple months as I saw her on the same dating app and her profile was updated with new pictures and she said she just doesn’t see this going anywhere and good luck with everything - she then blocked me. I’m assuming she was finished with her exams by this point.
I fully understand that I was completely in the wrong with the way I reacted and I’ve learnt the lesson and won’t ever speak to anyone like that again - I regret it so much because I could see myself liking her and she honestly seemed like the most perfect girl, although we only went on 2 dates and spoke for a month. But do you think it was me calling her an arsehole that caused her to end it (completely valid if so) or if she just wasn’t feeling it before this and I gave her an easy way out?

2024.05.19 11:42 WitchyMagik It’s been 8 months

It’s been 8 months
I lost my family cat last September, 8 days after his 10th birthday. The year before, in 2022, my great-grandma and I took him to an emergency vet 2 hours away because he was bloated and you could just tell he was in terrible pain. We weren’t ready to let go and my family paid $1,400 to get crystals in his urinary tract removed. We also got prescription cat food to hopefully prevent this from happening again. The vet let us know it’s normal for male cats and if it happened again it’d be best to put him down.
I remember the next few days when he came home from the vet I was so happy he was home and alive but I had to keep him all drugged up on pain meds for the next week. I felt horrible having to chase him down everyday and give him meds and I had to keep re-wrapping his paw where the IV was put in or he would lick it raw.
Fast forward a year and the same thing happens. I was living further from my family so I got the call from my mom that he was trying his hardest to use the litter-box but nothing was coming out and he was slowly getting more and more bloated. I knew it was time to let him go. I waited until the next morning (by the time my mom called it was 9 at night and I just finished a 10 hours shift) and I was going to be the one to take him to the vet. My mom and sister were crying when I showed up and we all gathered around the litter-box one more time for one last try and you could just tell he was trying his hardest but just couldn’t and it was painful. Luckily, it wasn’t to the point of pain that it had gotten to before but I had to be the person of the family saying “it’s time, I’m sorry” while also holding back tears.
It hurts, I knew it was coming and I still cried so much and felt so guilty. Typing this all out I’m looking at the pictures and videos I got that day and I’m so lucky I was able to be there and give him a little more comfort before he was taken by the vet. There’s some days I can’t believe he’s gone and visiting my parents’ house feels a bit dimmer but I’m so happy he was able to go with dignity. He was my buddy, I wish I had more time with him.
(this is the last picture I got before the vet came in)

2024.05.19 11:41 Final-Equipment-3776 Adivce on prescription Cycling Glasses

I would like to buy myself some nice cycling glasses for those pesky insects and strong winds. Up until now, I used my normal prescription sunglasses and they do the job, but I’d like to get something more sporty.
What’s the best solution here? I saw that some brands offer clip ins or inserts that you can place inside the glasses. Do these work well? I saw a brand called „evil eye“ but those are quite expensive.
Another Idea is to use contact lenses and use standard cycling glasses. But I’ve never had contact lenses before so I’m not sure how well this might work.
For those who need to wear glasses in your everyday life, which solution did you choose?

I recently got the chance to own and use this Carhartt Canvas Packable Duffel with Pouch for my daily commutes and weekend trips. It's a game-changer! The bag is made of 500D polyester, which has been treated with Rain Defender, a durable water repellent (DWR). This means I don't have to worry about my stuff getting ruined in case of rain. One of the things I love about this duffel is its spacious main compartment. I can fit all my work clothes and shoes easily. The dual webbing haul handles also make it really comfortable to carry around.
However, there's a catch - the exterior slash pocket. It's a bit too tight for my liking and it tends to get stuck when trying to put something bigger inside. Another thing that caught my attention was the adjustable shoulder strap. While it's a great feature, I found it a bit too long, even when adjusted to its shortest length.
Despite these minor setbacks, I still believe this duffel is worth every penny. Its water-resistant feature is a real lifesaver during gloomy days, and its sturdy construction ensures that it'll last for a long time. Plus, the bonus utility pouch is really handy for keeping smaller items organized!

I recently purchased the Carhartt Lightweight Duffel and Utility Stash Pouch in black, and I must say, it's been a game-changer for my daily commute. The polyester material not only feels durable but also looks sleek and stylish. One of my favorite features is the removable and adjustable shoulder strap that comes with a comfortable pad, making it effortless to carry around.
The main interior compartment with a zipper ensures all my essentials are securely stored, while the exterior zippered pocket provides easy access to my smaller items like keys and wallet. What truly sets this duffel apart from others is the foldable utility pouch inside, perfect for keeping my gym wear separate from my work belongings.
The water-repellent coating gives me peace of mind knowing my belongings will stay dry even in unexpected rain. Plus, the iconic "Carhartt" logo adds a touch of class to this versatile bag.
However, one minor drawback is the limited color options available. I was hoping for a wider range of choices to match my personal style more accurately. So, if you're looking for a high-quality, durable duffel bag with an integrated utility pouch, the Carhartt Lightweight Duffel is definitely worth considering.

As a reviewer who's been using the Carhartt 55L Classic Duffel in my daily life, I can attest to its durability and flexibility. The Rain Defender water-repellent finish on this heavy-duty 1200-Denier polyester bag has kept all my belongings safe in even the toughest of weather conditions. One of my favorite features is the large main compartment that allows me to carry everything from my camping gear to tools on the job. The top and side haul handles, along with the removable, adjustable shoulder strap, make it incredibly easy to carry around wherever I go.
One downside I noticed is that the bag's interior seems slightly smaller than expected. It does manage to store plenty of items but with less organization than some other duffels I've used due to the lack of additional pockets other than a single zippered one.
However, the overall design comfort and visual appeal make up for this minor inconvenience. The grey color adds a touch of sophistication while still maintaining that rugged look characteristic of Carhartt products. Plus, the lifetime warranty provided gives me peace of mind knowing my investment will last for years to come.
So, whether you're an avid camper or just need a reliable bag for daily use, the Carhartt 55L Classic Duffel is definitely worth considering. Its blend of style, functionality, and durability won't disappoint.

I've been using the Carhartt Classic 21L Laptop Backpack for a few months now, and I must say, it has become an essential part of my daily routine. This backpack is not only stylish but also incredibly functional, with features that make it a must-have for anyone on the go.
The main compartment is large enough to hold everything I need for a day out, including my 15-inch laptop, textbooks, and even a small lunch box. The padded shoulder straps provide comfort, making it easy to carry around without any strain.
One thing that really stands out about this backpack is its durability. The 600-denier polyester fabric, combined with the Rain Defender Water Repellent coating, ensures that my belongings stay safe and dry, even in the toughest weather conditions.
However, there are a few minor drawbacks that I've noticed. The lack of additional compartments can make it difficult to organize smaller items like pens and pencils. Additionally, the backpack tends to be on the heavier side, which may not be ideal for those who prefer lighter options.
In conclusion, the Carhartt Classic 21L Laptop Backpack is a solid choice for anyone in need of a functional and stylish backpack. Its large capacity, comfortable design, and impressive weather resistance make it a worthwhile investment. While it may not be perfect, the pros far outweigh the cons, making this an excellent choice for daily use.

The recycled polyester canvas is not only eco-friendly but also water-repellent, which is a must-have feature for someone living in a city with unpredictable weather like me.
You know how it is when you need to quickly grab your keys, wallet, phone, and other daily necessities on your way out - well, this bag has two main openings that fasten with a two-way zipper, making access easy as pie. Plus, the adjustable shoulder strap makes it comfortable to carry around and adds an extra layer of convenience.
The Carhartt Essentials Bag also comes with a smaller velcro pocket on the front and another small zipped pocket, perfect for storing smaller items like business cards or headphones. At 17 x 16.5 x 6 cm, it's the perfect size for carrying essentials conveniently and comfortably.
One thing that really impresses me about this bag is its durability. Despite its compact size, it can withstand daily wear and tear without showing any signs of damage. It's a quality product made in China, combining style and functionality to meet the needs of every modern man.
The only downside to this bag, in my opinion, is the price tag. It's not exactly cheap, but considering the high quality and longevity of the material, I think it's worth the investment. All in all, the Carhartt WIP Essentials Bag gets a solid thumbs-up from me.

In my quest for the ultimate organization solution, I stumbled upon Carhartt's Black Legacy Cross Body Gear Organizer. As an avid user of different types of gear, I can confidently say that this crossbody bag has been a game-changer in my daily life. One of the standout features for me is the adjustable shoulder strap - offering both convenience and versatility without compromising on comfort.
The main compartment houses two slash pockets and five elastic loops, which are perfect for storing and accessing essential tools effortlessly. However, one minor drawback is the single zipper, making it difficult to open the bag without causing the sides to open as well. Another highlight worth mentioning is the front compartment, featuring a slash pocket and an ingenious key fob that prevents me from losing those elusive keys.
While the Carhartt Gear Organizer doesn't boast a large capacity, its compact design and robust construction make it reliable for carrying your vital tools and devices. Over the past few weeks, I've relied heavily on this organizer for work and leisure, and it has shown no signs of wear and tear - a testament to its impeccable craftsmanship.
In conclusion, the Carhartt Black Legacy Cross Body Gear Organizer provides a convenient storage solution for anyone who needs a reliable and compact tool for organizing their gear. Despite a few minor drawbacks, such as the single zipper in the main compartment, this lightweight and durable bag has become an indispensable part of my daily life.

Carhartt Heavy Duty Water-Resistant Gear Bag - 23

https://preview.redd.it/d49k7g8xsc1d1.jpg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a8b62a64ccb552cb1b0989c2561218fb238e8ad5
I recently received the Carhartt Legacy 23" Gear Bag in black, and I must say, I've been thoroughly impressed with its performance. At first glance, this bag might seem like your average gear bag, but once you start using it, you'll realize that it's so much more.
Firstly, the durability of this bag is outstanding. Constructed from 1200D poly, it's designed to withstand even the toughest of conditions. The Rain Defender Durable Water Repellent and Duraux abrasion-resistant base mean that my stuff stays safe and dry no matter what the weather throws at me.
The main compartment is deceptively spacious. I initially thought this would be a standard tool bag, but it turns out to be a versatile gear bag, perfect for travelling or organizing everyday items. The top and side haul handles, combined with the removable/adjustable padded shoulder strap, make it incredibly comfortable to carry, even when full.
However, there are some minor downsides to this bag. For starters, the storage options inside the bag are a little inconvenient. There's only one small interior pocket, which isn't very useful for organizing smaller items. Additionally, some users might find the size of the bag a bit too small for their needs.
But overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase. The Carhartt Legacy 23" Gear Bag is a well-made, high-capacity bag that's as tough as they come. If you're in the market for a reliable gear bag, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try.

Carhartt Medium Duffel and Utility Pouch

I recently got my hands on the Carhartt Black Trade Series Medium Duffel and Utility Pouch, and I must say, it has been an absolute game-changer. The large zippered opening into the main compartment has made packing and accessing my stuff super easy. The exterior slash pocket is perfect for keeping my essentials within quick reach.
One of my favorite features is the included reusable tool pouch, which I use to store various small hand tools. It's a nice touch that adds extra utility to an already versatile bag. The removable adjustable shoulder strap with pad provides comfort and convenience during those long hauls.
However, there are some downsides. While the bag is spacious, it could stand to be a bit more organized with some internal compartments. Additionally, it may not be the best option for those looking for a lightweight, minimalistic bag.
All in all, the Carhartt Black Trade Series Medium Duffel and Utility Pouch is a reliable and durable choice for anyone in need of a versatile bag for work, travel, or sports. Just remember to pack light and keep an eye on the size if you're planning on using it as a carry-on for flights.

2024.05.19 11:38 crazyornah87 Dear A,

I realize now I have been way to direct... as a sagittarius it's hard for me to beat around the bush. I like blunt. I like direct. It was eating me alive that I couldn't be that way with you. You had this weird affect on me. My throat would close up and I couldn't speak. Only stare. I literally had to rehearse in my head how I was going to approach you. I finally decided I was tired of the hot and cold from you. From incessant staring one day to avoiding eye contact at all the next. In retrospect that should have been my sign. The heart pull, the sixth sense, the insane synchronicities, the way the stars had to align for us to even cross paths.. My awakening was rough. I had to go through it all alone. Quietly. Unable to confide in anyone about it because i know unless you experience it, you sound bat shit crazy. All of it conspired to make me act out of obsession. I'm glad I finally had the nerve to approach you. I'm glad I decided to do it face to face instead of messaging you. The conversation went exactly how i envisioned and yet still threw me for a loop. I guess i was hoping i would be wrong. Im glad i cleared the air. The conversation we "still need to have" is going to have to be initiated by you. I deleted the app I first contacted you on. I stopped looking you up on social media/ Google. I'm no longer going to try my best to run into you at work. I am truly going to back away. I have done all I can at this time and I am at peace with whatever happens. I guess i can say i am finally over the obsession stage. All it took was me to take my control back. Ball is in your court.
Sincerely,
 C.

2024.05.19 11:38 Illustrious_Fan9974 Balance changelogs that i wish to be applied ( VO: 2 )

[---Buffs---]
HANK!
  1. Charging time : 3s-2.5s
  2. Added tank trait
  3. Its GONNA Blow (Sp ) : 10%-15% efficiency
  4. Hp value 10800-11200
( Despite this SHRIMP got huge BUFFS yet still staying on the bottom of the tiers ,is really unideal For that being. This should make him put more pressure and be a little defensive on close range scenario's . Also his sp where he gets his speed buff should be increased as it is only a 10% increaseal )
BARLEY
  1. HP value: 4800-5000
  2. Reload speed increased by 5%
( I tried not to give everyone a DMG change since DMG inflation is continuously rising over time.... Soo tried some alternative options tbh. )
JACKY
  1. Rebuild ( Gadget ) area coverage: 3x3 -4x4
TARA
  1. Both of her spawnables hp from SP increased ---( 2400-3200)---( 3000-3800)---
( Nobody's Talkin about how she fell off in the last few months.
BTY tried a different buff for her. What I've seen is what her spawnables hp from both of her SP is still the same even aftrr the universal stat buff. No wondy why her spawnables are soo fragile RN. )
JANET
  1. Attk range: 8.33-9 blocks/tiles
( Hot take but the only thing that i suffer when playing janet is how low her range is.... As a marksman, she just..... Doesn't seem too have enough range, AKA underwhelming ..... Havin that low of attk distance also makes her more fragile, TBH i think this single buff is enough to give her a substantial improvement. )
DARRL
1.Steel hoops SP : Effect duration 2s-3s
  1. Projectile amount : 5-4 DMG Distribution ==> 480--600 per projectile
  2. Rolling reload: now also grants CC immunity for 1s
( Darrls viability is slowly descending due to better picks and HCS ( OFC ) but instead giving a basic Hp Buff, i thought what about buffing his steel hoops, as now he can be more aggro with his playstyle as he will be alot tankier . Also with the second change, he can do more consistent chip DMG even at max/mid range)
BULL
  1. Projectiles amount 5-4 ( Main ATTK DMG distribution: 880-1100)
  2. Super dash speed increased by 25%
  3. Hp value : 10000-10400
( As i knew it, as more characters getting HCS including tanks, those ones whos viability is mostly bcuz of HC are getting heavily powercrept... Also dont forget the uni: HC nerf. I tried to make his super just a little less dodgable by making the dash speed higher , aand as same as darrl, reduced his projectile amount soo he can deal more consistent chip DMG at maximum range )
DOUG
  1. Base healing: 1200-1600
  2. Added tank trait.
ASH
  1. FULL Rage gained from receiving DMG : ==>125%- 100% of his base hp
  2. Rage bar now decays 15% slower
( He is also powercrept due to not having a HC as tanks get the most benefit from it and get the most sufferings without it...BUT, recently i am seeing that, as more characters are getting HCs, tanks HCs are also getting powercrept. Those HCS are still Strong tho ...... But i dont think a single HC will make him alot better. This change should let him be more AGGRO tbh )
[--MISCELLANEOUS BUFFS--]
HIEST SAFE: Base HP increased by 25% Upto ==>(80000-100000 hp)
 2. Now has a Damage cap of 5000 per second
( Do i need to say somtin?.... HIEST recently has been INSANELY powercrept due to more high DMG dealing characters as well as balance changelogs, this sure is a necessary change RN, also keep in mind that the DMG cap is set to per SEC, not like single 5k burst DMG.... That means any higher DMG than 5k on that specific sec will be cancelled )
[---DeBuffs---]
ANGELO
  1. movement speed reduced to fast when charging attks ( from very fast)
  2. SCR : 2-2.5 shots
  3. Main attk DMG : 4400-4000
( Absolute insane marksman RN... The HIGH DMG combined with his insane speed is ridiculous )
MELODIE
  1. Dash range reduced by 25%
  2. Base SCR : 4-5
  3. SCR from notes cut in HALF.
  4. notes no longer charges form special targets including heist safe.
Misc: 1. After hitting a main shot, notes will no longer Dmg target's on the middle of the attacker ( Nerf )
( INSANELY high mobility and Very fast SCR... Considering how easy to hit shots TBH.... Also nobody's giving a Fuck about it... But for some reason, when applying her basic attk, the notes appear literally from her a-- inside..... , Dealing 2760 per attks... Even if all 3 of your notes are charged, u still do insane Dmg with that goffy ahh gimmick. [ 920 from basic attks+ 1840 from the notes ] this substantially increases her Burst DMG value... also once she gets her super... its pretty easy to cycle it with her notes as the notes charge rate is the same as the base SCR, aka 4 hits......Allowing her to do absurd teamwipes . Also the inability to charge notes from special targets will make her an insane Victim of spawners like Nita and Jessie )
PIPER
  1. DMG value: ==>3400-3200
  2. Autoaimer (gadget) : knockback removed, and increased slowness by 300% ( 0.5-2.0s slow ) and DMG increased to 800 from 160
( Having two jail free cards as a marksman are already insane, soo one of them should be tuned down, this gadget change will let her intruder's aproch slower but will not cancel their attks . Mainly the intention is , there should be a way to counter her Greatly in close scenarios.
And talk about her DMG, IMO way overtuned, way too much rewarding when shot hits , needs a balance between like what happened to Nani. )
SANDY
  1. HCR : 60%-40% ( 1.66-2.5 supers )
( His HC is incredibly strong AF, As if it wasn't enough..... )
JESSIE
  1. HCR : 60%-50% ( 1.66-2 Supers )
( got overtuned TBH, getting that much 10k hp turrets are just too overwhelming )
BYRON
  1. Base healing/DMG: 760-720
( Ok i am sorry, but IMO his Dmg/heal got way overtuned.... I already Kinda doubted that after this change he might need a small Nerf... But at the same time... I think he will still be really Good )
CHARLIE
  1. Spiders hp decay increased ( 10%-20%) Upto 10-5s spiders endurance .
  2. Super : victim can now breakthrough the super with its ammo ( each ammo cuts one of five decays from the super , thats means upto -60% super duration if the victim has all the ammo. 5s-2s upto )
Or:
• Victims can now reload and heal up with 30% less efficiency
  1. Attk unload delay: 500ms-750ms
( IDK how to balance her super TBH. She has to be one of the most unserious character supers I've seen. A fast paced multiplayer game where u always have to be active, Havin a character who literally makes u being idle for a decent period of time.... Like even if the super were 3s, she still will be good... Bcuz of how her super works. her Allie's including herself, gets a huge advantage in many scenarios, because 5s is still enough to do the impossible in ongoin matches, atleast in competitive. Soo increasing the decay again will let her and her allies do less amount of crazy plays and other shit. But if u have any ideas, just let me know how to balance her super properly
but what can i see for now which needs a deserved change is that the spooders gadget Imo is still pretty braindead and strong at the same time.... 10s of endurance if doesn't get damaged helps her soo much for control , this especially helps with single non pierce attkers . This should do the damn job
*BUFFS , DEBUFFS and CHANGES *
MANDY
--CHANGES--
  1. first star power is now baseline. it is replaced with THE new SP ( In my sight's)..... Which increases the upper and lower view point by 15% in focused mode...
( IMO her 1st SP is a must for her kit..... So i tried making her 1st sp baseline as I think, she is quiet unviable without it....)
CHESTER
--buffs--
  1. Main Attk DMG: ==( 1280-1400)
  2. SCR : 7-- 6 bells
  3. Poprocks super now have a throwing range similar to other spawners like Nita.
--REWORKS--
  1. 2 nd sp now reveals enemy's ammo bar and charge rate ( CHARGE RATE bar amplifies like lous freeze bar)
  2. 1 st SP now removes one cap bell attack and cycles between 2-3 bells
(Although OUR Mighty JESTER dosent have any good competitive purposes, he still feels awfull in Ladder as well.... bumping the DMG will make his long range shots more rewarding and reworking his 1st SP will reduce his Burst DMG buuuut, this SP will indeed increase his Consistency over DMG even more...)
KIT ( SIZABLE REWORK )
--Buffs--
  1. after leeching out from an allie, he will gain 33% of his super back
  2. Super duration when leeched on allies 10s-12s
--DEBUFFS--
  1. MAIN attk DMG : 2000-1600 ( revert)
--changes ( Reworks )--
1.Power hungry ( SP) : renamed to " Enter context ". When leeched to an allie, his allie will passively Charge its super similar to kit himself, but it will be 20% less effective.
  1. Cardboard box ( gadget) : renamed to "Enter context" will increase leached allies movement speed by 25% for 5s
  2. Overly attached ( SP) : renamed to " Enter context" . Will get 40% DMG when super is applied to opponents and targeted victim will receive 20% more DMG from all source's. The Dmg buff also Includes kits super DMG.
  3. Cheeseburger ( Gadget) : will now heal kit even if he isn't leeched to any allies. But it will be 30% of his max HP. And now has a maximum healing cap of 4000 . ( small Nerf) so no more Kit + Big tank combo.
  4. After leeching out of an Allie, he will gain 25% DMG reduction for 5s
( Tried to make him actually decently supportive rather assassin type. Hot take but kits whole system is just messed up. From gadgets being not supportive enough to SPs being very situational. One thing i also noticed that, supportive characters who has shorter range generally suffers more than the other supports. And not to mention, his super is not that consistent. After leeching out of an Allie, he literally losts his whole damn super and considering he has no other way to fastly charge his super except attacking others opponents, which he suffers again cuz he has short range , low burst and low Hp. So He has to passively charge it most of the time. Which takes a while where 20s to be exact. So i tried to make his super just a little more cyclable and tried making his whole gadget, SP reworked . To make him supportively better. Soo lastly, WDYT? Did i overdo it, or like overbuffed him? Let me know tho. For any improvements)
FRANK
--Buffs--
  1. he can now attank while walking. ( very slow when Attacking , doesn't apply to super )
  2. Main attk Range increased by 0.33 block/ tile . ( 6-6.33 blocks
  3. Super attk range increased by 0.66 block/tile ( 7-7.66 blocks )
--MYTHIC gear--
  1. Will gain 66% of the super back if the previous super gets interrupted
--Debuffs--
  1. Hp value : 14000-12000
( I .... Genuinely don't know how to make uim viable, where almost EVERY SINGLE damn characters somehow counter him ... But what can i see about this change is that he can now have some sort of mobility when proceeding attks )
LILY
--Buffs--
  1. Ammo amount increased to 2 ( Same delay as Fang )
--Debuffs--
  1. Vanish ( gadget ) : now has a 1s delay uppn Activation
( Really gets Carried over this gadget, yet soo fragile without it. )
CHUCK
--Debuffs--
  1. Cant place polls in a HIEST safe ( in a radious of 4 tiles )
--Buffs--
  1. Reload speed 2000ms-1800ms
  2. projectile speed 1750-1860
--CHANGES ( small reworks) --
1 .autoaiming outside the polls will no longer place one , instead all poles now need to be placed manually.
  1. Reroute gadget will pick up the nearest pole instead of last placed pole. The gadget Will Still pick up poles even if the super is Charged
( Outside heist and few hotzone maps.... He recently started to become outshined by other controllers. His kit is really weird as it only works decently on specific modes and maps. Soo kinda tried to rework some of his base stats .
And this change to his super will let him do more good pole placements soo he can do more controlling attribution for his team.. although WDYT?.
SAM ( SIZABLE REWORK)
--Changes--
  1. 1st SP is now baseline. it is replaced with ( insert name ) which upon deploying his super, he will be immune to all CC for 1.5s
  2. 2nd SP is now reworked, after launching his super, after 10s, he will instantly charge his super. (Doesn't passively charge bty )
  3. 2nd gadget is now reworked as well to ( insert name ) . It is like sprouts one, when knuckle Busters are on the ground , using this gadget will automatically home in to himself and will deal 1800 DMG
( He is completely dependent on his 1st SP ... IMO making it baseline is important, second of all... Both of his 2nd gadget and SP is Dogshit.... It really need some love... Soo tried this Rework to remove some of Sam's weaknesses. Also. Is the first SP rework good or just made it too strong ?, let me know)
OR, ( Quickfix)
  1. knuckle Busters pickup timing reduced by half .
  2. Hp Value: 10800-11200
MAISIE
--buffs--
  1. Base SCR : 4-3
--Debuffs--
  1. Disengage gadget will be disabled when proceeding super
  2. Tremors ( SP ) duration : 2s-1s
( A SINGLE CHANGE, singular, not plural .... Just made her literally fall from a skyscraper to below average, and i kinda knew it, a character whos equally consistently dependent on its super and attk , having a same SCR ans SSR is a must have..... Which Maisie had.... Which also maded her consistent. But IMO reverting jt will be a stupid ass idea, soo i tried some other good ways to tone it down. Like the tremors SP, which Imo is one of the biggest reason she was able to cycle supers that much... Like the slow was soo much that she could even even Autoaim most of the time and EZLY get her super back.... And dont get me started when it is combined with that stupid disengage gadget combo, she literally gets like twice the range of her Normal super.... And people barely gets any time to react. )
FANG
--debuffs--
  1. SRR : 45hits
  2. Super DMG: 2400-2200
--buffs--
  1. Main attk DMG : 2720-2800
  2. Super dash speed: 4000-4500
HYPERCHARGE Tweaks
  1. HCR : 20%-30% -- ( 5-3.33 supers)
(fresh kicks SP has been always a must pick for his kit, and now because of his buffed SCR , this SP just straight makes him to be able to destroy low-mid ladder player matchmakings . Although he is counterable in competitive matches. But knowing the fact that 70% of the whole player base are casuals, i think he actually needs a super Debuff, cuz NOBODY likes to get teamwiped in a matter of seconds. He was already pretty solid IF U PLAYED HIM well enough which most of the people weren't. After his SRR buff, he already became STUPIDITY braindead as it is pretty EZ TO cycle supers.
Now i just wanna make him skill based as how he was before sep 2023. The main thing that i noticed was his SRR change is what made him less skill
Tried to revert it. But also giving him some buffs to balance thing's out.
GUS ( Rework to supportive gimmicks )
--Buffs--
  1. spirit heal: 1600-2000
--CHANGES--
  1. Hitting a Spirit Charged attk on a wall will now spawn a Ghost as well
  2. 2nd gadget: removed HP sacrificial ( 5%-0% ) And next attk upon Activation will spawn 2 spirits
( Really hoping this will make him shine again, tried to make him supportively viable by making the spirits actually useful for healing his Allie's. Keep in mind that the sprits healing buff is an indirect buff to his 1st SP as well. Allowing his allie to heal upto 4000 which is pretty substantial. And adding some kind of CC to him soo he can atleast retreat with THIS but added additional nerf to it for a compensation. )
LOU
DEBUFFS:
  1. Hypothermia SP : Max DMG reduction. 50%-35%
BUFFS:
  1. Projectile speed : 4000- 4200
  2. SCR : 8-7 shots ( without SCR gear )
HYPERCHARGE tweaks (DEBUFF)
  1. Hypercharged super insta freeze -70% of the freeze bar will be filled
( Same is COLGATE, not any big problems on his main kit, except his HYPERCHARGE.... Buuut supercell really likes to kill a character whos main issue isn't his base kit. also his hypothermia SP is kinda getting slept on as how secretly STRONG AF it is. You can still almost insta freeze any enemy with HCed super combined with Cyro Shyrup )

I recently got the chance to try out the John Deere Leather Patch beanie, and I must say, it has been an essential part of my wardrobe in these chilly months. The first thing I noticed was the quality of the knit material, it's so soft and warm. The Carhartt Brown color pairs perfectly with my casual outfits, making it my go-to beanie for most days. The John Deere leather patch on the front adds a unique touch that sets it apart from other beanies.
One downside is that it can be a bit tight-fitting around my ears, but that could vary depending on individual head size. Despite this, the beanie has proved itself to be a reliable companion during my daily activities and I appreciate the American craftsmanship that John Deere stands for. Overall, I would highly recommend this beanie for anyone looking for a stylish and warm accessory.

🔗Carhartt Classically Durable Winter Beanie

I recently decided to give the Carhartt Glass Blue Knit Beanie a try during these chilly winter months. As a product reviewer, I was excited to see how well this beanie would perform in both comfort and style. The 100% acrylic rib knit fabric is a pleasant surprise as it feels incredibly soft against my skin while doing an excellent job at keeping the cold out. I also appreciate the thick cuff, which ensures that my ears stay toasty and the beanie stays firmly in place even during blustery winds.
One of the highlights of this beanie is the Carhartt label sewn on the front. It adds a touch of sophistication to an otherwise casual look, making it suitable for both work and play. I love how the leather patch complements the beanie's color while adding a subtle edgy vibe.
However, there is one minor cons. I've noticed that during extremely windy days, the wind may make the Carhartt patch flutter a bit, which can be slightly annoying. Nevertheless, the overall quality and design more than make up for this minor inconvenience.
Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with the Carhartt Glass Blue Knit Beanie. Its superior comfort, stylish appearance, and sturdy construction make it an excellent choice for anyone seeking a reliable and fashionable beanie during these cold months.

🔗Carhartt 2nd Quality Rib Knit Beanie

https://preview.redd.it/30ulm4y5sc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7b489d1a20c28025509b651aea31adf6fdfd6e22
I recently got my hands on the Carhartt Factory 2nd Acrylic Knit Cuffed Beanie 2.0 in Gray, and I must say, it's been a reliable companion in keeping my head warm during chilly mornings. This beanie is made of 100% acrylic, stretchable rib knit fabric, which ensures a snug fit without feeling tight. The Carhartt label sewn on the left side adds a touch of branding that I absolutely love.
Although it's imported, the quality is top-notch, and I can feel the durability in every stitch. However, the material can be slightly on the warmer side, so it might not be the best choice for those who prefer more breathable headwear. Overall, if you're looking for a cozy and well-built headwarmer that'll stand up to the elements, this Carhartt Factory Acrylic Knit Cuffed Beanie 2.0 is definitely worth a try.

🔗Men's Carhartt Skills Graphic Beanie in Coal Heather

https://preview.redd.it/75utp0a6sc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=60f0691986ba1db425ab5789b9e2e0fae2854669
I remember when I first got my Carhartt Skills Graphic Beanie, I was skeptical about how much it would enhance my outdoor outfits. But boy, was I in for a treat! . This beanie not only kept me warm, but also added a touch of rugged charm to my winter wardrobe.
Its acrylic, stretchable rib-knit fabric is a dream to wear, and the sewn-on Carhartt label on the front only adds to its distinctive look. Plus, being made in the USA is always a plus point for me.
However, one downside is that it doesn't have any reviews yet, which makes it a bit hard to gauge its popularity. Overall, though, it's a fantastic beanie for any guy who loves the outdoors and wants to support the trades.

🔗Customizable Carhartt Heather Grey Watch Cap 2.0

https://preview.redd.it/28qpwqq6sc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4197924e55a7126c2d7cba2519d5c50978905960
I recently purchased the Carhartt Watch Cap 2.0 to stay cozy during my morning runs in the freezing temperatures. I've always been a fan of Carhartt's high-quality standards, and this hat didn't disappoint! It's super comfortable, stretchy enough to always have a snug fit, and flexible enough to go over balaclavas, gaiters, and ball caps for even more warmth. But its best feature has got to be the bright lime color that seems to glow in the dark, making me super visible during my night runs. On the downside, it can be a little itchy initially, so remember to wash it before you wear it. Overall, I highly recommend the Carhartt Watch Cap 2.0 for anyone looking for a warm, comfortable, and stylish beanie that keeps your head toasty, even in the harshest of climates.
Now let me tell you about another aspect of this beanie that made me appreciate Carhartt even more. I bought three of these for the men in my family when we were heading to the mountains for Christmas. And guess what? They loved them! The guys felt so protected and warm that they didn't want to take them off, even when it started snowing on us. When it comes to keeping your head warm and comfortable, the Carhartt Watch Cap 2.0 truly delivers.
However, I did come across one issue with sizing in my research. The size seems to vary depending on the country where it's made, which can be a bit frustrating. It's a good idea to keep an eye on that if you're a stickler for consistency in your hats.
All in all, the Carhartt Watch Cap 2.0 is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-quality and cozy winter beanie.

2024.05.19 11:34 a_person_052320 WIBTA for clocking out when my shift ends?

While going to school full time, I’ve been working overnight shifts at a hotel. However, unlike all my other jobs, the stipulation that someone man the desk at all times means that when the coworker working the shift after yours calls out, you’re expected (read required) to stay until someone arrives.
Often, when this happens, management doesn’t try too hard to get someone to relieve me besides asking the person working the next shift after if they can come in earlier.
Today, a coworker called out, who was scheduled the same time I’m off. I have a reservation for an event with some friends a half hour after my scheduled shift ends that requires me to show up on time or else not at all. On top of that, I gave them my two weeks’ notice last week.
If I left the desk, there’d simply be no one here for a few hours, including during checkout time. It’s a full house too, and nearly half the guests are checking out today. How bad would it be if I just… left? WIBTA?
