Hi! My husband (28M) and I (28F) will be seeing an RE for the first time next Wednesday. We have experienced two back to back miscarriages in the last 6 months (no LC). We have no idea what to expect nor did we ever expect to be in this situation. I seem to have no issue getting pregnant, but I can’t seem to stay pregnant. Do any of you have advice on questions I should bring up to my RE during our initial visit?
My pathology report from my first miscarriage (d&c) came back genetically normal. The contents of my second miscarriage were not tested due to using miso to pass at home.
I haven’t had any other testing done, but I know that will be the first step. The only thing that has come up during routine doctors appointments is endometriosis, but my symptoms are not severe enough to get further testing according to doctors. I have had pain with any sort of penetration from the time I got my period around age 12/13. That and bloating/constipation seem to be my only symptoms. Should this be something I push to find out?
Thank you all in advance! I feel so lucky to have found a group of others who are going through similar situations.

does this seem like Sciatica nerve?

After a covid infection at end of 2021, I developed neurological issues diagnosed as long-covid in early 2022. At its worst, this manifested as neuro inflammation, intense head pain, deep depression and anxiety (uncharacteristic for me), cognitive trouble (inability to have full thoughts and complete sentences), etc. I tried high dose IV Vit C with glutathione with no noticeable effect. I tried different serotonin boosting treatments, with success. Ie antidepressant (made me feel weird, but helped some), then Banisteriopsis caapi extract i had from my medical research days (this worked very well). Also tried various things like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, meditation, exercise, support herbs and supplements; some of which im still doing. Flashforward to now and my minor remaining symptoms are anxiety/ irritability (nervous system feels like its buzzing) and slightly slowed cognition (minor, but I feel dulled 5-10% compared to the past).
Background: 38yo, type 1 diabetic, was 50lbs overweight, former medical researcher, now product formulation (I need my cognitive function! Ha)
I'm two weeks into taking 3mL daily via IM injection and feeling amazing! Everyday when I inject I feel a wave of calm come over me within 5-10 minutes. This calm is with me day to day, however when I skipped 2 days the anxiousness did come back. Not noticing anything with cognition yet, but I'm very hopeful. I purchased 15 - 20mL vials and upon opening each vial, I immediately load into syringes and refrigerate with my insulin. I feel each injection's effects, so I don't think it's degrading, but paying attention to this element.
I have two questions:
  1. Do you think it will have a lasting effect?
  2. Is it safe to take for several months? Or, what do you all suggest for rounds?

New Survivor Perks

  • Mirrored Illusion This perk activates after completing a total of 50% worth of repair progress on generators. Press the ability button 2 when next to a totem, chest, generator or exit gate to spawn a static illusion that lasts for 100/110/120 seconds. Then, the perk deactivates.
  • Bardic Inspiration Press the ability button 1 while standing and motionless to enter the "performance" interaction that lasts up to 15 seconds and empowers Survivors within 16 meters. Roll a d20. This effect lasts for 60 seconds if the performance is completed. When the ability is cancelled or the performance completes, it goes on cooldown for 90/75/60 seconds. 1 You scream, but nothing happens 2-10 skill checks give +1% progress 11-19 skill checks give +2% progress 20 skill checks give +3% progress
  • Still Sight After standing still for 6/5/4 seconds, this perk activates. Until you start moving, you see the aura of the Killer as well as all generators and chests within 18 meters.

New Killer - The Lich

Killer Power

Bound with the skin and flesh of men, the Book is packed with spells both forbidden and wicked. To select a Spell, hold the Ability Button to open the Spell selection. The Lich has access to 4 different Spells:
  • Mage Hand: Creates a magical hand that lifts a downed pallet or blocks an upright pallet for 4 seconds.
  • Flight of the Damned: Conjures 5 flying spectral entities that can pass through obstacles and injure Survivors.
  • Dispelling Sphere: Casts a moving invisible sphere that reveals Survivors and temporarily disables their Magic Items.
  • Fly: Gain a flying speed for a short period of time, allowing you to travel a long distance quickly and move over vaults and pallets.
SPECIAL ITEM: MAGIC ITEMS
Treasure Chests found around the map can contain Magic Items. Each Survivor can equip up to two Magic Items at once: one pair of Boots and one pair of Gauntlets. These Magic Items are each connected to a specific Spell, and activate when The Lich casts that spell.
  • Boots/Gauntlets of the Interloper: The Survivor sees the aura of pallets affected by Mage Hand and gains Haste for 3 seconds.
  • Boots/Gauntlets of the Nightwatch: The Survivor can see the auras of the spectral entities conjured by Flight of the Damned.
  • Boots/Gauntlets of the Archivist: The Survivor can see the Dispelling Sphere.
  • Boots/Gauntlets of the Skyguard: The Survivor can see The Lich's aura during Fly and for a few seconds after.
SPECIAL ITEMS: HAND & EYE OF VECNA
Rarely, Survivors can instead find the Hand or Eye of Vecna in a Treasure Chest. When picked up and used, Survivors gain a special ability while at full health. Using one of these special abilities costs the Survivor a health state and reveals their location with Killer Instinct for 3 seconds.
  • Hand of Vecna: When doing a Fast Locker Entry, the Survivor is teleported to a further locker.
  • Eye of Vecna: When doing a Fast Locker Exit, the Survivor cannot be seen by The Lich and gains Haste for 12 seconds.

New Killer Perks

  • Weave Attunement When any item becomes depleted for the first time each match, it is dropped. You see the auras of dropped items. Survivors within 8 meters of dropped items have their auras revealed to you. When a Survivor picks up a Survivor item, they suffer the Oblivious status effect for 20/25/30 seconds. Oblivious prevents Survivors from hearing or being affected by the Killer's Terror Radius.
  • Languid Touch When a Survivor within 36 meters of you scares a crow, they gain the Exhausted status effect for 6/8/10 seconds. This perk has a 20-second cooldown. Exhausted prevents Survivors from activating exhausting perks.
  • Dark Arrogance Increases the duration you are blinded and the duration of pallet stuns by 25%. Increases regular vault speed by 16/18/20%.

A new Map comes to the world of Dead by Daylight, found in The Decimated Borgo Realm. A tower standing tall alone, but what is above ground hides a new world underground. A prison area where Vittorio Toscano was thrown in for some time. Characters
  • It is possible for The Dredge and a Survivor to get stuck in a locker if another Survivor tries to hide in the same locker before the teleportation.
Perks
  • UI feedback is missing for some Perks (Languid Touch, Weave Attunement, Bardic Inspiration).
  • Survivors' Auras are revealed when swapping an item held in hands with an Item inside a Chest with the Weave Attunement Perk.
  • The Survivor screams and animation triggers before the result of the dice appears with the Bardic Inspiration Perk.
  • Rarely there is no lute or dice animations when triggering the Bardic Inspiration Perk.
  • When rolling a 1 with the Bardic Inspiration perk, the lute song will continue to play indefinitely until the perk interaction is attempted again.
  • It is possible to spawn a second illusion when there is already one active with the Mirrored Illusion Perk.

Are hemorrhoids able to bulge out when in the process of a bowel movement than with some time(mins,hours) it protrudes back. Reason I ask is because I went to the ER for multiple reasons. I have felt a bump on my anus and do bleed. But when the doc took a look he didn’t find or feel any hemorrhoids. Internal and external. Today I feel a bump and took picture shows a small bump on my rectum. Symptoms(itchiness, uncomfortable, light pain here and there when sitting.

2024.05.14 18:55 mangoste1n Psychiatrist diagnosed me with PCOS???

Last week I got a blood test requested by my psychiatrist to check my levels for FSH, luteinizing hormone, free t3 and t4. I called her saying I got the results back and she immediately diagnosed me with PCOS and Grave's Disease. My levels were:
FSH: 2.1 (ovulating) LH: 3.7 T3: 4.88 (it says it was high) T4: 1.27
I know this subreddit does not have medical professionals but I can't be the only one weirded out right? My psych also said don't go to an endocrynologist because they "dont understand pcos". I understand that she also has it.
My sibling was diagnosed when she was young, and I don't display any of the symptoms she has. I have regular periods, I don't grow much facial hair besides the occasional single long chin hair. My periods are also not very painful, I get normal cramps, uncomfortable but I'm still functioning, and my libido isnt really super high or super low either. My weight is a bit high, but that was due to a previous psych doctor prescribing antidepressants/antipsychotics/sedatives that made me eat too much + gave me insulin resistance and slow metabolism.
My sibling suggested to just go to an endocrynologist + gyn to recieve further testing to really be sure, because one test for LH and FSH doesn't seem to be damning evidence to me. Is this correct or am I just wrong?

2024.05.14 18:54 Western_Trick2925 Achilles ruptured May 10th - advice needed

Hello everyone,
Looking for some advice, please. I ruptured my achilles on May 10th. Went to see the doc on the same day and he prescribed me some crutches, an aircast boot and pain meds. He also sent out a request for an ultrasound.
I just received a call from the hospital and the ultrasound is scheduled for May 20th.
Is it fine for me to wait? Should I consider going back to a private clinic? I live in Quebec so you may already be aware, the quality of our healthcare services is terrible. I am worried since I had to call back on Monday (3 days after the rupture) to have a prescription for the wedges. The doctor forgot to add it on the boot prescription.
What would you do in my position? Non-op seems to be the preferred treatment in Quebec.

2024.05.14 18:53 CastBlaster3000 Girlfriends friend's are guys and I'm feeling insecure

So we've been dating for a little over 9 months, and I go to college in Chicago (right now studying abroad in pairs). We met at the start of last summer before I went to school in September, and I'll be back where she is in less than 2 weeks (I'm very excited to be done with long-distance). So the issue is all of her friends are work friends, and they all happen to be guys. There are a few girls but they don't really hangout. She didn't start working there until we had already been dating for a few months. So basically all of the stories that she tells me involve going out to dinnedrinks with these guys, and I'm feeling insecure/jealous about it (both of our parents have cheated/been cheated on so that's a factor too). I have met these guys and they're not exactly ladykillers, so I'm not freaking out like she's going to be stolen from me, something about it just bothers me. I also know she doesn't like it when I hangout/talk with girls. I don't hangout with girls alone, but I'm an introvert so I don't go out much anyway. I trust her and don't think she would cheat on me (I mean I hope not lol, if she did right now I'd have no idea), but it still is painful to listen to her talking about going out to get ice cream and dinner with these guys while I'm stuck here. I don't bring it up because I don't want to vocalize my insecurity, and I wouldn't tell her not to hangout with them because they're her only friends and I don't want to be controlling. Not really sure what to do, any advice? Right now I had planned to wait till I get back and go from there.

2024.05.14 18:53 prettygirltearz Pug’s shoulder keeps twitching

I just wanted to ask around if anyone has had a similar experience with their dog / maybe has an idea of what this could be.
About a month and a half ago we took our 11yr old pug/beagle mix to the vet. He was in obvious pain and I noticed his shoulder was twitching really bad. He’s very food driven but didn’t seem to have an appetite. (He was still eating but just didn’t seem as interested like usual.) He was sleeping a lot and whenever he stood/walked he had his head low to the ground like it hurt. Even his tail which is curled was pin straight.
The first vet told us it was his teeth - sent us home with antibiotics and pain pills. Did not work. So a week later we took him to a new vet nearly 2 hours out. They said it might be a strained neck so they gave us inflammation pills. This worked immensely. Within a day he was back to normal. His neck seemed like it wasn’t swollen anymore. No more shoulder twitching. They gave us enough pills for about 2 weeks or so.
Now a week has passed since he finished the pills and it’s happening again. He’s sleeping a lot, walks like it hurts, and I noticed the twitching has came back.
He’s a childhood dog of mine and I’m worried for him and if it might be something worse. Not sure what to do so if anyone has a possible idea I’d really appreciate it.

I provided the other party's insurance company with information for a higher valuation, as I had recently made repairs and added features to my car. However, I'm not satisfied with their second offer, which has only increased by $400. I also want to address the impact on my partner and myself. We didn't sustain major injuries but sought medical care for pain and swelling. My partner has been offered chiropractor care and cash by the insurance company. I have anxiety, which has resurfaced after the accident, that and lack of a vehicle is affecting my ability to attend important upcoming events and work my second job. I've consulted with lawyers, but I'm unsure of the best course of action as they are not following up with me.
FULL Version: Hi all I’m hoping to get some clarification on how to go about my total loss. I’ve never been in this position before thankfully but need some guidance. I am located in Illinois dealing with Geico (other party) and Farmers Insurance (mine).

I’m sorry this is a little long but I figured details would be important. We didn’t have any major injuries so we are lucky in that regard. My partner and I were both seen by immediate care a couple of days after the accident as pain was settling in for both of us. Nothing broken but just swelling in my neck muscles from what they could see. I was referred to an orthopedic surgeon for further evaluation but the doctor didn’t seem too concerned about anything major being an issue. Insurance offered my partner $5000 in chiropractor care and $1200 cash. He’s held off on responding until I get something through to them.
I have anxiety and before the accident it was well managed. Since the accident I’ve had panic attacks again. I’ve been speaking with my therapist and working on getting back on track. I don’t take meds anymore for anxiety as it was well managed prior to this accident. I have so many once in a lifetime events coming up the next month I’d have to miss not having my car and also missing wages from my second job. I’m fortunate enough my main job is from home 100%.
I’ve tried to get opinions from some lawyers on what I should ask for, for this type of thing as it’s not something you can really put a price on. Or how to even calculate out a monetary amount but my case, I have a feeling isn’t something someone would take or it wouldn’t be worth taking. So that’s why I’m here for guidance. I’ve written a professional letter to send to the insurance company along with a letter from my therapist outlining my anxiety and panic attacks, doctors notes about the physical injuries, and the announcements/invitations for the events I’m missing. Also I have documentation of pay from both of my jobs.

Hi everyone. I am not scheduled for surgery yet, so I have some time to prepare. Obviously, I will ask this question at the appointment, but I'm curious how much time is normal to need off of work post-surgery.
I realize that a lot of variables play into this and that anyone can end up with post-op complications that can extend the recovery period!
Assuming a normal surgery and recovery, how long until you felt both physically and mentally ready (and were cleared) to go back to work? I work a desk/office job that is 100% remote/work from home with no physical labor. I can literally work from bed if I want to, which is what I do on my high period pain days. I'm mostly wondering because I just started this job two months ago, so I don't have a lot of PTO saved up yet, and I can't take FMLA until I've been there a year. Of course, I wouldn't try to just work immediately. I'm simply trying to figure out how much PTO I should plan on saving up.
I do get a wonderful amount of PTO and personal days at my job (25 days PTO, 2 personal days, and 4 floating holidays), but I will need to accrued them first. The company won't let you go into negative PTO. It seems like two weeks off is a good basic starting point, from what I've read on here, but I'd love to hear personal thoughts!
For context, I've had a few major surgeries in my life, including a14-hourr surgery that removed 5 organs from my abdomen, so I'm no stranger to surgery and major body recovery! I know to get up and walk as soon as possible, I know about the gas pains, how to listen to my body, etc.

Long story short, doc are trying to figure why I have Heartburn and ThroatBurn and I've been journaling what I've been eating or medication I'm taking that can cause GERD symptoms.
I realised that everytime I'm in my period (bad period pain) I have crazy stomach burning symptoms + burning throat.
Before having theses issues, I would pop legit 6 naproxen a day because of extreme pain ( it's bad I know now, didn't know better back then ). Naproxen (aleeve) is the ONLY med that works, even morphine don't work on managing my pain.
Now, I have other method to help manage my fricking uterus pain once a month, with castor oil and natural remedies, but I still take 1 - 3 naproxen - Aleeve max. in my entire week. I don't remember taking more than 1 a day for the last years or so. But since my stomach is now sensitive to everything , I noticed that my stomach is freaking out evertime I'm on my period and I realised it's related to ONE naproxen for the first and second day.
The question is : Do you guys have pain if taking ONE naproxen? If so, can I prevent having stomach issues by taking Pantoprazole or Omeprazole BEFORE taking my naproxen?

F/u from my last check in a few weeks ago! 11 weeks out (left) v 8 weeks out (right)
Unfortunately I had to move my show back 4 weeks because work decided to slash hours by 70% across the board (so happy) and I realized it wasn’t financially safe to continue with my planned show while money was in flux. So I took a deload week and brought cals up to maintenance to have energy while finding a new job and turns out my body needed it badly, so maybe this all was a blessing in disguise 😂
Plan now is to come into this new show 5 pounds less than I was planning for my initial one (160 instead of 165) and hit that mark 2 weeks out so I can coast into peak week with minimal fatigue and stress (discovered my legs come alive after a week of no cardio so that’s been worked into my plan).
Current posing focuses are my relaxed overall (especially my sides), pelvic/hip rotation on back double and making my front double not look as awkward lol so any advice on those would be appreciated. I’m also painfully aware of the lockup/imbalance I have on my right side and am working on getting it fixed with massage therapy.
As always any advice/critique is gladly accepted. Next post I’ll be under 170 🫡

Hi Everyone Wanted to share my experience dealing with joystick drift on my xbox controller.
So my original controller which came with the Series S started showing signs of joystick drift around 1 year after the purchase. Initially I bared it, but it became a pain when playing games such as overcooked 2.
Spending 5k more on buying a controller didn't seem to make a lot of sense since I had one more controller, the only issue was with couch co-op games.
So I first tried to call up local repair shops and they quoted me insanely high numbers to replace the joystick - roughly 2k. I live in Hyd, these prices might be lower in places such as Delhi.
Then the engineer in me got an itch, and I thought why not replace it myself. Searching on amazon I found this - TCOS TECH Xbox Series X/S Analog 3D Analog Joystick Replacement for Xbox Series S Xbox Series X Wireless Controller : Amazon.in: Video Games (not sponsored or affiliated in any way)
I thought it should just be a simple soldering job and I ordered a soldering kit with this.
Then I started, and oh my, it was a really scary experience.
So the difference between soldering normally, and removing solders made by hand is generally very easy. But in things such as the controller, the soldering is done using automated machines on the PCB.
Removing these solders is not possible using normal soldering guns you might have for hobbies etc. They require significantly more heat to remove.
So yeah, I spent a long time trying to heat and remove the solder to no avail, the PCB almost changed a bit of it's colour, and I was like I have anyways messed this up.
Then I started exploring more on youtube to see more simpler techniques, there were techniques around just breaking the potentiometers/joystick instead of the solder, and then just move it back and forth to break the solder.
I thought I'll do this on the whole joystick, but just doing it on one of the potentiometers was too much effort and scary. Scary in terms of breaking the whole thing up.
Then I ended up only breaking 1 potentiometer (the front-back one which had the drift) and then replacing it with a potentiometer from the one I had purchased. After much more effort and abusing the PVC very badly with heat, solder and the hole from where I removed the older potentiometer, it looked like a complete mess. I was worried if it would even turn on.
Luckily after few minor adjustments, the joystick was working perfectly. I can honestly say, I felt super happy!
Fast forward to 2months since this, now the joystick has a different kind of problem, where it randomly gets stuck in top direction, hopefully might be fixable with minor tweaks.
All in all it was a very scary experience (of destroying my whole controller), and I won't recommend it to anyone if you don't have advanced soldering skills and equipment.
Better approach would be to buy a stick like this online and then maybe go to a mobile repair shop and pay them some money to help with soldering.

I moved away from my ex. We started long distance. We then met in the middle to close the gap.
It has been almost 6 months since the breakup.
I stopped contacting later than I should have. I wished I had just kept silent in the beginning. I ended up seeing her last month but noticed I was removed and blocked via social/msging apps a couple days after the event. ( I didn’t plan on seeing her. It kinda hurt. I tried to just start a conversation, it went well. But it was a one sided). I left, just said see you around.
I had sent a text back in March, before I stopped contacting. It had asked that I if she was ready for a friendship without the relationship pressure. That was the last msg, and she had read it and then Blocked me. I guess I will never know because I can’t read minds or understand what process she may be going through.
She had said she didn’t want to lose contact and to keep communicating. I had initially said no. Far too hurtful especially after what it felt like being in the dumpee position. But a month we called and things kinda got better, but it was just becoming more messier when I sent letters to her. (Foolish me), if only I had not acted on emotions. I guess all this to say. I’m trying to move on. Trying to get rid of hope. But I never knew it could feel this way.
I never regret being with her, I just am navigating the pain that followed the ending of it. I’m trying to be positive.

Hi friends, We recently started writing about Danish idioms on our newsletter the Simple Danish Newsletter - I also started posting them here on Reddit, but I have not been great at keeping up, and so now I am 12 weeks behind here on Reddit, and rather than space out 12 different posts, I thought I would do one big post and hopefully get back on track with the postings 😅 So here’s a bunch of Danish idioms for you!
At have det som blommen i et æg
Litterally; to feel like the yolk in an egg. I like this idiom a lot because of how visual it is. It means that you feel good, you feel comfortable, protected, and in the right place.
For example:
A: Se de søde killinger der sover.
B: Åårh, de har sikkert som blommen i et æg.
En heldig kartoffel
Literally, a lucky potato. If someone is especially lucky, in Danish ,you can call them a lucky potato. As far as I can read, the expression comes from an old sailors game, where you would pass a potato around in a circle, and a person in the middle would try to catch it. If the person in the middle could not catch the potato, it was said to be a lucky potato.
For example: A: Jeg har fri på fredag, så jeg kan nyde det gode vejr.
B: Din heldige kartoffel.
A: Har du hørt at Jonas har vundet i lotto? B: Sikke en heldig kartoffel!
En varm kartoffel
Something can also be a hot potato. It is the same expression as in english, where an issue can be a hot potato. Something so hot that it is painful to touch, and so something you would want to avoid. This expression is less used in Denmark, and mostly by newspapers or the older generations.
Lokummet brænder
Litterally: The toilet is on fire.
Either you are in big trouble or you are about to be in big trouble when your toilet is on fire.
Lokum in Danish used to refer to the old shed behind the house, where hole-in-the-ground-with-seat type toilets with no running water were found. Nowadays the word can also refer, with some disgust, to normal toilets.
For example:
Så er den ged barberet
Litterally translating to; then the goat is shaved. Means that something is done or solved. You can use it if you got an annoying task out of the way, either by avoiding the task entirely (and then ironically using så er den ged barberet to humorously say that it was easy), or by actually finishing it.
Example 1: Jeg skal lige færdiggøre den sidste del af præsentationen, og så er den ged barberet.
Example 2: FCK scorede et hurtigt mål mod Brøndby, og så var den ged barberet.
Hvor kragerne vender
Where the crows turn around is used to to mean the same as in the middle of nowhere, although I like the illustrativeness of the Danish phrase much more than in the middle of nowhere. It means somewhere so far away, that even the crows don’t dare go there. You can for example say; Rasmus er vokset op på landet. Der hvor kragerne vender. Or if someone asks you what you did this weekend, you can say: jeg var ude at gå en tur, helt derude hvor kragerne vender. Or if people ask you where you are from: jeg er fra en lille by ude hvor kragerne vender.
Den der kommer først til mølle, får først malet
Litterally; The one who arrives first at the mill will get milled first. This is pretty much the the Danish equivalent of first come, first serve, mixed with a bit of the early bird gets the worm. However in everyday life, you pretty much only hear the first part; først til mølle or you might see something like; “efter først til mølle princip” which was recently added to the Danish dictionary. You might see the phrase if you are looking at items being given away for free or being sold online. I can definitely see how the isolated phrase can confuse new learners though: “Selling sneakers. First to the mill.”

at spille kong gulerod
At spille kong gulerod, to play king-carrot. You can use this expression if someone is acting arrogant, cocky, or superior in a pretentious way. You can for example say du skal ikke komme her og spille kong gulerod if someone is being pompous around you. The phrase apparently comes from an old french, satirical opera from 1872, where vegetables from the garden take control over France. Or so I’ve heard. Don’t cite me on that.
At købe katten i sækken
Literally meaning to buy the cat in the sack. To buy the cat in the sack, means you got cheated in a trade, or that you were not diligent enough when checking what you were buying and got something not worth a lot. You can change the person or the idiom in the idiom as in jeg har købt katten i sækken meaning you already made the bad deal, or you can say hun køber katten i sækken in the 3rd person future tense if someone is going to make a bad decision. You can use it as a warning to someone Pas på du ikke køber katten i sækken if you think there’s a risk they will not make a good choice later.
At gå som katten om den varme grød
Litterally; to walk like the cat around the hot porridge. We use this idiom when someone hesitates to speak directly about a sensitive subject, when they skirt around the issue. I imagine a cat, interested in eating a nice bowl of hot porridge, but the cat is hesitant because it is afraid of burning its tongue.
Example: I forbindelse med spørgsmålet om klimaforandringer, gik politikerne som katten om den varme grød.
at skyde papegøjen
To shoot the parrot, or to have shot the parrot, means to be very lucky. It can also mean to have gotten hold of a very valuable object or person. It is in a sensee the opposite of having bought the cat in the sack. Here’s a few examples:

I (25f) yesterday went out with a friend (26f) and her sister (22f) for coffee. I don't really know my friend's sister and have only seen her 2x so far.
The sister then said at some point that she had to briefly go to the pharmacy to get her prescription. And then she proudly said that she has finally been prescribed meds for her acne.
I perked up, I myself completed my treatment with isotretinoin a few months ago.

I also gave her a few products and tips that helped me a lot with the side effects.
Of course, the side effects are different for everyone, but I honestly find it somewhat critical that her dermatologist never really pointed them out? About two months ago I started having stomach aches/cramping, changes in bowel habits and a feeling like something was stuck or like I wasn’t done even if I’d just gone to the bathroom or knew I didn’t need to go. I went to a GI about two weeks later and she said it could be colitis or IBS, she called for a FIT test and blood work (both came back normal) and a six week diet (two weeks gluten free, two lactose free and two fodmap). While the stomach pains went away, the changes in bowel and the feeling of something stuck or incomplete did not go away. I had a follow up yesterday and now she has ordered a colonoscopy for a month from now. She mentioned it could be internal hemorrhoids or colitis and also said she’s not worried but still wants to go in and look. Even though she seems unconcerned I am terrified. My worst fear is that it could be something much more serious and that diagnosis is taking too long. My question is do those of you who have experienced similar symptoms agree with her assessment or could my fears be valid and I should do more to get answers sooner? All thoughts welcome, thank you in advance.

Haiii, so 1 week ago~ I started shaving my legs, but there's a problem :/ every time I shave my legs I either accidentally hurt myself or I give up because it takes too long I do it with a razor and it takes me a long time and it's so painful to shave the back of my legs :/ and I was wondering if there was another way to shave? One that's probably quicker and also one where I can't hurt myself, although it's going to be a bit difficult for me because I had to negotiate for 2-3 months with my mom to get her to allow me to use a razor :/ also it's not really related but when I shave my leg after 2-3 days I'm already seeing new hairs, so if anyone here knows how to make them grow less it could be really helpful^^ anyway i hope everyone here is having a great day/night :3

It’s my first time working up the courage to post here, but have learned a lot in the past from lurking so hoping the same goes for this post! Does anyone have any advice or tools I might be missing in combating what’s going on with the lower part of my face? As you can see I’m dealing with a lot of lower jawline/chin congestion and texture.
For context, I dealt with a pretty bad spell of hormonal acne in the past (roughly 28-29 years old) and went on spironolactone and tret and it helped tremendously. This was concentrated in my cheek area (you can see some scarring in the photos). I’m currently 33 now and almost 2 years postpartum. We want to try for baby number two this year, so tret/spiro isn’t currently an option. Outlining my current routine and supplements below in hopes someone can help identify an issue or something I am missing:
AM:
  1. Gentle cleanser (La Roche Posay Toleraine)
  2. Vitamin C (Skin 2.0 vitamin c + collagen - planning to switch back to the ordinary)
  3. Moisturize (Versed rich moisture cream)
  4. SPF (Vacation spf 30)
PM:
  1. Gentle cleanser
  2. Exfoliate (2x weekly and alternate between chemical and micro physical - Elemis Papaya Enzyme and Derma-E microdermabrasion scrub)
  3. Retinol + niacinamide blend (2x weekly) (Ani Gold - switching back to the ordinary)
  4. Hyaluronic acid + squalane blend (Kate Somerville)
  5. Moisturize
Supplements: vitamin D, probiotic, magnesium glycinate, prenatal, a “clear skin” vitamin blend that is so far\\\\ failing at its promise
I plan to trial spearmint tea starting this week. I also recently reduced my routine down to gentle cleanse and moisturizer for one week as well as got rid of two products I was not thrilled with but didn’t see much of an improvement.
