2024.05.14 11:17 crunchygrapes_524 How do i tell my abusive mom i failed an easy subject.

Today, I recieved an e-mail from my school informing me about how I am required to attend a summer program for I have failed Art. For context, I'm an only child with severe ADHD and I study at one of the most prestigious schools in the Philippines. The summer program costs 6,000 PESOS/$103 and lasts for about 2 weeks. With that information, I really need advice on how to break the news to my mom. (My mom is a single parent and provides for almost the whole family.) I know that it will break her and just make her absolutely ballistic, and don't get me wrong she has the absolute right to. But recently her ways of "teaching" me discipline has gone way worse. Just a few days ago, My teacher returned my work and it was a really low grase and she constantly hit me, slammmed my head, pulled my hair, throwed my stuff (ex: laptop, phone, anything she can grab basically) at my FACE at 7 am in the morning before she left for work. After she left and just about 3 hours in, she called me and kept texting me, saying things like "I wish I never gave birth to you" swearing at me, etc. That day, I had plans of comitting suicide, I was trying to choke myself, possible stab my self and just thought of all ways to unalive myself. It was alot. I love my mom, if anything I'd take a bullet for her. But this thing has been going on SINCE I WAS A TODLER. Grades are everythjng for my mom. She takes my friend as a "great" example just because she has good grades, now I'm not shaming my friend but she is an absolute bop. She gets with a new boy every week. While I'm viewed as a dissapointment because of my grades. (NOTE: I KNOW. That this is a little thing that eill eventually pass but I'm absolutely sick of it. And I have thought of running away for YEARS.) PLEASE feel free to leave any advice and opinion.

2024.05.14 11:12 Final_Cobbler839 Low GPA Aerospace student, is there hope?

Basic context: I am an aerospace engineering student with a 2.7 GPA and one year left and I am feeling very hopeless. I plan to take a masters abroad (Europe or japan) as my country has no aerospace manufacturing and minimal education resources and getting a job abroad straight up doesn't seem very likely.
My first concern is my GPA. At one point it was as low as 1.74 (had a lot of personal issues) and it pushed me back a year. I was able to raise it to 2.7 now and I should be able to hit 2.8-2.85 as I graduate. I keep seeing that most masters courses require at least 2.8 or 3.0, which makes my situation seem hopeless.
My other issue is the lack of internships/education opportunities because there is no aero production where I live. I have taken 2 courses in engine and airframe maintenance in the largest airline here but I ma not sure how relevant and helpful that would be for a masters application.
Another issue I have is the lack of uni activity like student clubs or such. For most of our subjects we do projects from writing management software to stress analysis on materials in solidworks, but I am not sure if these count as they were basic coursework for my subjects. I was also busy trying to salvage my GPA.
I of course have knowledge of Matlab and solidworks and Python and I am learning German, but that doesn't feel like much in comparison to what I see many do.
I am hoping for any recommendations for what I should do in my remaining year.
Is there anything I should do in my remaining year like online resources/courses, and should I start trying my luck in applications?

2024.05.14 10:51 mtufekyapan Marketing Guide For Shopify

Marketing is one of the most crucial operation for a Shopify store. There are lot’s of tactics Marketing is one of the most crucial operation for a Shopify store. There are lot’s of tactics to grow quickly and none of them not working. Well, if you looking for a way to create solid marketing plan, then this guide is for you. In this guide you’ll learn

Definition of Marketing

American Marketing Association defines marketing as activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large. Source
What do you see here?
  1. Marketing is not about activities, it contains activities, set of institutions and process.
  2. Function of marketing is not generating sales. It’s creating, communicating, delivering and exchanging offerings that has value.
  3. In this post we’ll focus on Shopify stores marketing. However in the big picture marketing has not limited with companies. Marketing can be done within organization or society.
Let’s summarize what marketing definition for a Shopify store. Marketing will create, communicate, deliver and exchange offers that have value for customers. As you can see main subject in here is customers. Because of this, I’ll put customers as the center of this guide. Everything we’ll do has to something with them.

Market Research, Competitor Analysis and Defining Your Target Market

This is a practical guide for marketing so I want to continue with a hypothetical Shopify stores for each steps.
Let’s say we have a Shopify store that has some high-end, organic baby clothes targeting new parents.

Market Research

How can we do the market research?
Let’s say you have a new Shopify store that has less than 500 order per month. You can hire expensive agencies, expensive experts to research the market, create market reports for you, etc. Even if you do that, I highly suspicious if it helps you.
However you can talk with your new-parent friends. Ask them about how do they decide to buy baby clothes? What they are looking for before completing their purchases? Do they get any expert opinion before making buying decision? How do they search online and what they want to see? Is there any great YouTube channels about this.
Don’t have any friends? Checkout your friends not a new-parents but parents and ask similar questions to them. If you also don’t have them, try to make new born friends. I know how hard it is but let’s be honest here. If you don’t know anybody in your target audience, how do you manage to get know them? All of the successful stores I saw they have direct relationship with their target audience.
When you make your research with real people, then you can extend your project to online. Try to search as they do. What do you find? Deep in dive and take your notes.

Competitor Analysis

When you done this market research, you’ll also see there are some other brands. This is a huge subject but let’s call these brands as competitor for now.
Now it’s time to analyze them.
  1. Checkout their branding strategy.
  2. What are their value propositions?
  3. What is hot about them? Return guarantee, free shipping etc.
  4. What is not hot about them? Poor product or store design, low UX on the website, etc.
  5. What people think about them? Google reviews, Trust pilot reviews, product reviews on the store.
  6. Are there any partnership or influencer program they’re running?
  7. What is their Google/YouTube campaign strategy? Check it here.
  8. What is their Facebook/Instagram campaign strategy? Check it here.
Create a spreadsheet with all of this information. We’ll use this when working on positioning and marketing strategy.

Define Your Target Market

What do you say about our target market? Can all of new parents be our target market?
Nope, it can’t. You need to deep dive into your market and find a sub-segment, a niche that will need your products much better than anybody else and afford it easily.
This is what I called ideal customer profile (ICP). Check out what is ideal customer profile and how to create your ideal customer profile posts to learn more about the concept.
For our hypothetical store, ICP can be something like this;
Demographics
Psychographics
Pain Points
Needs
Buying Behaviors
After creating ICP, it’s important to spend some time on empathy map. Don’t forget to check it, too.
Now we know our baby clothes Shopify store market, customer’s buying process and our ideal customer profile.

Brand Identity and How to Create Your Branding

I’ll follow the American Marketing Association (AMA) in here too.
First look at brand definition. AMA defines brand as “any distinctive feature like a name, term, design, or symbol that identifies goods or services”.
Branding is for creating and managing your brand’s identity. It involves your mission, values, culture and public image.
I’m not an expert on brand, but I know how branding can be effective for your conversions and performance. Here are some checklist for you.
  1. Design consistency is the key. Your visual identity should be consistent across social media, Shopify store, emails, product detail pages, etc.
  2. Copy consistency is the key. Your communication style should be consistent across social media, Shopify store, emails, product detail pages, etc.
  3. Experience consistency is the key. Let’s say your brand looks like a high-end brand and when a new visitor visit your store first they see is an annoying popup saying want to get 10% OFF. This is simply how to destroy your brand.
  4. Craft a story and stick to it. What makes you create this brand? Faces behind the brand. This is a huge leverage for creating trust and building bonds.

Go-to-Market Strategy and Defining Your Marketing Strategy

So far we identified our target market and ideal customer profile. Check out competitors and creates the branding for our store.
Now it’s time to work on go-to-market strategy and crafting our marketing strategy.

Go-to-Market Strategy

Let’s say you recently launched your Shopify store or add a new line of products.
You need a plan to introduce your store or new products to the market. This is what we called go-to-market(GTM) strategy.
Main goal of the GTM is letting people know that there is a new brand or product line. It’s similar to launch marketing. Key message here is there is a new products/brand launched and it offer the best for you. Give it a try, you’ll love it.
All of your messages and communication should be parallel to this process.
Our focus is convincing people to try our products/brand. So I always offer a special campaign just for the launch to give people to a reason to try your products/brand.
For our hypothetical Shopify store we can run a special campaign for launch like;

Marketing Strategy

This is your plan of actions to sell or advertise your products. Now we can talk about selling part of the marketing.
Let’s say you have GREAT advertising creatives and a huge budget and just spending it. Don’t wait to crack the code and having lot’s of sales.
Your marketing strategy should be follow sales funnel. If you don’t have a high-converting sales funnel, you can’t expect people to buy from you. Check out How to Build High Converting Sales Funnel For Shopify post.
AIDA Sales Funnel Framework
Now we can continue with our hypothetical store example. We’re selling high-end, organic baby clothes on our store. We crafted our ICP, empathy map, work on branding and created our story.

Example Marketing Strategy

First step we’ll work on attention step. Our focus is getting attention of our target market attention.
We can create a educative e-book like “7 Harmful Chemicals Commonly Used in Baby Clothes and How to Avoid Them” and run some campaigns targeted new parents on social network (Facebook, Instagram or YouTube)
This ads will land on a landing page that gives brief information about why we should pay attention to chemicals in baby clothes for our little ones and make a promise like “I spend my last 5 years about researching chemicals on baby clothes and prepare this book for you and your little one”. Also there can be a quick video about our story explaining our expertise in this field and why we’re building this brand.
We can ask for their email address to share the book with them. When they enter their email address, we’ll send them this ebook.
After first email with the ebook, we can send a few more emails with easy to digest information about chemicals.
This will create an expertise image on our target customers and start to create a bond with them. Not a bad start, right?
At the same time we can use this content on our social media, right? Quick videos, infographics and posts about the chemicals in the baby clothes.
After getting a few thousands subscribers we can organize a webinar to answer questions. This will also a great content for re-used social media content and creating trust and expert image.
Then we can share a time-limited promotion with this people for a bundle. Like we’re running a campaign and these 5 chemical free baby clothes bundles 10% discounted until next week!
We can send emails about it and use this campaign for remarketing for only people who show interest in our e-book and webinar.
This is a very brief template of marketing plan.
Now let’s take a look at more common one.
It’s time for you. Which one do you want to choose? All of the experts recommending this without even asking who are your customers. Can you believe it?
Don’t forget that marketing strategy is not a hope. It’s a well documented plan of actions designed for turning strangers into customers.

Inbound and Outbound Marketing Channels

Inside the marketing strategy, channels plays a vital role. There are lot’s of ways to group channels. I’ll use most basic one.
Inbound Marketing Channels: With the inbound marketing your customers will find you and start the interaction. Most common channel for inbound marketing is organic search engine optimization.
After creating high quality content, when customers search something online, they can see your articles and first interaction happens.
Outbound Marketing Channels: With the outbound marketing you reach out to customers. Facebook/Instagram/YouTube ads, influencer marketing, display ads, podcast ads can be count in this category.
As you can imagine inbound marketing channels takes lot’s of efforts and time however over the time you’ll have organic marketing channel and it brings you customer without needing any budget.
Outbound marketing channels generally works with advertisement models and you need budgets to run these channels.
Most of time I recommend to start with outbound marketing channels and then invest inbound marketing channels overtime. Don’t forget to check Mastering Paid Ads For Shopify post.
Succesful marketing plans should be supported by high converting growth and conversion plans. Don’t forget to check Growth Guide For Shopify and Conversion Optimization Guide For Shopify too.
to grow quickly and none of them not working. Well, if you looking for a way to create solid marketing plan, then this guide is for you. In this guide you’ll learn

2024.05.14 10:39 ConsequenceGreen9799 Things that I wish were added to this game (part 3)

Things that I wish were added to this game.
Hello again! Continuing with part 1 and part 2, part 3 has officially been released. No one supported me on this post so I will post my wishes myself. I hope everyone will support this post topic. Here are the things I wish for:
  1. Block The End: Not long ago, the game added the Nether blocks available in OneBlock to the game. That's right, if there is Nether, there must be The End, right? So I hope the game will add The End blocks to this game.
  2. Backpack: You don't have any space left in your inventory, right? Don't worry, the backpack will help you in this difficulty. You can have 27 more storage spaces. Exchange with your armor (shirt).
  3. Fishing rod: Fishing can help you reduce stress, so I hope the fishing rod will help us reduce stress. However, the durability of the fishing rod is very low, only 80 durability.
  4. Morning - Evening: Um, I'm serious, THE GAME WOULD NOT BE NORMAL WITHOUT MORNING AND EVENING. Why is it always bright but not dark? If it doesn't exist, how can it be called real? So I hope that "little bit of authenticity" is added to the game.
  5. Trees will get taller: Why are trees in our game always short and not ten blocks tall? I really hope the trees will grow taller so we can farm wood more easily.
  6. Painting: I hope famous paintings are added to the game, for example Mona Lisa, The Last Supper,.... I will be an artist when I have all the famous paintings :D.
  7. SkyBlock: You fall on an island, around that island are other islands. Yes, I really hope SkyBlock is added to the game.
  8. New rankings: Youtube Rank is the ranking for famous Youtubers about this Bloxd.io game. However, we can add new rankings in addition to this Youtube Rank. For example: Superstar Rank (For up-and-comers, new stars), Newbie Rank (For those new to the game),
Half Rank (For those who have been playing the game for 6 months),
Year Rank (For those who have been with us for 1 year),
Longtime Rank (For those who have been with us for more than 18 months),
Bed Rank (For those who have won the game Bedwars 200 games), Sky Rank (For those who have won the game Skywars 400 games), Humans Rank (For those who have won the game Infection as humans survived 30 matches), Zombies Rank (For those who have won the game Infection as a zombie 150 matches),...
Here are 8 things that I hope to add to the game. If you have any contributions, I will add your contributions to part 4, please contribute in the comments section below. Goodbye and see you again in part 4!

2024.05.14 10:29 ThrowRA3272 I(M28) and gf(F22). Broken condom, No ejaculation, 7 days before ovulation. Should I worry?

Hello
Me(28M) and my gf(22F) were having sex on the 20th of April(2 days after her period had ended) when I noticed the condom had broken. I was nowhere near ejaculation and was inside of her with the condom broken for maybe 10-15 seconds before noticing and stopping. Last time I ejaculated prior to that was about 9-10 hours before. However I had urinated and cleaned thoroughly post-ejaculation
Her period started on the 12th of April and was expected on the 12th of may and is now 2 days late. Her cycle is usually 30 days, so ovulation should occur around day 16 which makes the 20th of April(when the condom broke) day 9 of her period or 7 days before expected ovulation.
I know the fertility window is about 5 days before ovulation + the day of and after ovulation. So 7 days is before the fertility window and chances should be super low right?
I read pretty much all the info about sperm in pre-cum I could find and most of the studies say that pre-cum does not contain sperm or contains one that is poorly formed and immobile
I am aware of the possibility of having left over sperm in my urethra from the previous ejaculation but most of the info I find suggest that the first urination flushes out any left over sperm and that no sperm is found after about 4.5 hours
Her period is now 2 days late and I'm starting to get very worried.
Should I be worried?
Thank you

  1. Analyze your website's performance: Use tools like Google Search Console and Semrush to analyze your website's performance metrics, such as rankings, organic traffic, and keyword visibility.
  2. Identify high-performing content: Determine which pages, blog posts, or other content assets are driving the most organic traffic and generating the highest rankings. These will be your priority to preserve and optimize during the redesign.
  3. Assess backlink profile: Evaluate the quality and quantity of backlinks pointing to your website. Backlinks are a crucial factor in search engine rankings, and it's essential to maintain or improve your backlink profile during the redesign.
  4. Analyze technical SEO aspects: Assess your website's technical SEO components, such as site speed, mobile-friendliness, structured data implementation, and crawlability. Identify areas that need improvement to enhance the overall user experience and search engine visibility.

B. Plan your redesign with SEO in mind

Once you have a clear understanding of your website's current SEO performance, it's time to plan your redesign strategy with SEO as a top priority. Here are some key steps to take:
  1. Define your SEO goals: Determine what you want to achieve with the website redesign in terms of SEO. This could include improving rankings for specific keywords, increasing organic traffic, or enhancing the user experience to boost engagement and conversions.
  2. Identify areas for improvement: Based on the SEO audit, pinpoint the areas that need improvement, such as site architecture, content optimization, mobile responsiveness, or technical SEO factors.
  3. Develop a clear strategy: Create a detailed plan outlining how you will maintain and enhance your SEO performance during and after the redesign. This should include strategies for content migration, URL structure optimization, redirects, and other critical SEO elements.

C. Back up your website

Before proceeding with the redesign, it's essential to create a complete backup of your existing website. This backup should include all website data, content, images, databases, and any other relevant files. Having a backup will serve as a safety net in case any issues arise during the redesign process, allowing you to revert to the previous version if necessary.
Backing up your website is a crucial step that should not be overlooked. It provides peace of mind and ensures that your valuable data and content are secure throughout the redesign process.

Implementation

A. Work on a staging environment

When implementing the website redesign, it's recommended to work on a staging environment or a development server separate from your live website. This approach allows you to test and troubleshoot any potential issues without affecting your live website's performance or user experience.
Working on a staging environment provides several benefits:
  1. Testing and debugging: You can thoroughly test the redesigned website, including its functionality, design, and SEO elements, without impacting your live site.
  2. Collaboration and feedback: If you're working with a team or agency, the staging environment allows for collaboration and feedback before pushing the changes live.
  3. Minimize downtime and disruptions: By testing and resolving issues on the staging site, you can minimize downtime and disruptions for your live website's visitors during the redesign process.
Once you're satisfied with the redesigned website on the staging environment and have addressed any potential SEO concerns, you can proceed with launching it on your live domain.

B. Match the structures of the old and new websites

One of the most critical aspects of protecting your SEO progress during a website redesign is maintaining the existing URL structure as much as possible. Changing URLs can lead to broken links, lost link equity, and potential ranking declines if not handled correctly.
To mitigate these risks, try to match the URL structure of your new website with the old one. If any URL changes are unavoidable, implement proper 301 redirects to ensure that search engines and users are seamlessly redirected to the new URLs.
Implementing 301 redirects is crucial for preserving your existing link equity and preventing any potential ranking drops due to broken links or lost pages. Search engines will recognize the redirects and transfer the authority from the old URLs to the new ones.

C. Optimize your content for target keywords

During the redesign process, it's essential to ensure that your content remains optimized for your target keywords. Search engines rely heavily on content relevance and quality when determining rankings, and neglecting content optimization can negatively impact your SEO performance.
Here are some key steps to take:
  1. Keyword research: Conduct thorough keyword research to identify the most relevant and valuable keywords for your business or website.
  2. Content optimization: Optimize your content for the target keywords by incorporating them naturally into your title tags, meta descriptions, headings, and body copy.
  3. Structure and organization: Ensure that your content is well-structured and organized, using clear headings and subheadings to improve readability and semantic relevance.
  4. Quality and value: Focus on creating high-quality, valuable content that provides real value to your target audience. Search engines prioritize content that meets user needs and delivers a positive user experience.
By optimizing your content for the right keywords and maintaining high-quality standards, you can ensure that your redesigned website continues to rank well and attract relevant organic traffic.

D. Improve website speed and mobile-friendliness

In today's digital landscape, website speed and mobile-friendliness are crucial factors that impact both user experience and search engine rankings. During a website redesign, it's an excellent opportunity to address these aspects and optimize your site for better performance.
  1. Website speed optimization: Optimize your website's code, images, and other assets to improve loading speed. Techniques such as minification, compression, and leveraging browser caching can significantly enhance website performance.
  2. Mobile-friendly design: Ensure that your redesigned website is fully responsive and optimized for mobile devices. With the increasing number of users accessing the internet via mobile devices, having a mobile-friendly website is essential for providing a seamless user experience and maintaining search engine visibility.
By improving website speed and mobile-friendliness, you not only enhance the overall user experience but also align with search engine best practices, which can positively impact your rankings and organic traffic.

E. Submit your new website to search engines

Once the redesign is complete and you're satisfied with the new website's performance, it's time to submit it to search engines like Google, Bing, and others. This step helps search engines discover and index your new website more quickly, ensuring that your pages are properly crawled and ranked.
Here are some steps to follow:
  1. Submit your sitemap: Create an updated XML sitemap for your new website and submit it to search engines through their respective webmaster tools or search console platforms.
  2. Request indexing: Use the tools provided by search engines to request indexing or re-indexing of your new website's pages.
  3. Monitor indexing progress: Keep an eye on your website's indexing progress through the search engine tools and address any issues or errors that may arise.
By proactively submitting your new website to search engines and monitoring the indexing process, you can ensure that your redesigned site is properly indexed and visible to users searching for relevant keywords and content.

Monitoring and Maintenance

A. Monitor your SEO performance

After launching your redesigned website, it's crucial to monitor its SEO performance closely. Regular monitoring will help you identify any potential issues or declines in rankings, traffic, or other key metrics, allowing you to take corrective action promptly.
Here are some key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor:
  1. Keyword rankings: Track your rankings for your target keywords using tools like Google Search Console, Semrush, or Ahrefs.
  2. Organic traffic: Monitor your website's organic traffic levels through tools like Google Analytics to ensure that your redesign hasn't negatively impacted your visibility and user engagement.
  3. Backlink profile: Keep an eye on your backlink profile to identify any lost or gained backlinks during the redesign process. Backlinks are a crucial ranking factor, and significant changes can impact your SEO performance.

Backlinks are a crucial factor in search engine rankings, as they represent the authority and credibility of your website in the eyes of search engines. During a website redesign, it's essential to maintain and improve your backlink profile to protect and potentially enhance your SEO progress.
  1. Monitor your backlinks: Use backlink analysis tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, or Moz to monitor your existing backlinks. Keep track of any lost or gained backlinks during the redesign process.
  2. Disavow spammy or low-quality links: If you identify any spammy or low-quality backlinks pointing to your website, disavow them using the appropriate tools provided by search engines. This will help prevent potential penalties and ensure that your backlink profile remains clean and authoritative.
  3. Acquire new, high-quality backlinks: Implement strategies to acquire new, high-quality backlinks from reputable and relevant sources. This can include guest blogging, creating linkable assets (e.g., infographics, guides, tools), or reaching out to industry influencers and bloggers for potential collaboration opportunities.
  4. Internal linking optimization: Ensure that your internal linking structure is optimized on the redesigned website. Proper internal linking can help distribute link equity across your pages, improve crawlability, and provide users with a better experience by guiding them to relevant content.
By maintaining and improving your backlink profile, you can protect and potentially enhance your website's authority and credibility in the eyes of search engines, contributing to better rankings and organic traffic.

How To Protect Your SEO Progress During a Website Redesign

I. Introduction

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a critical aspect of any successful online business or website. It helps to increase visibility, drive organic traffic, and improve overall online presence. However, when it comes to a website redesign, there is a risk of losing hard-earned SEO progress if the process is not handled properly. A website redesign can involve changing the structure, content, and technical components, which can negatively impact your search engine rankings and organic traffic if not managed carefully.
To protect your SEO progress during a website redesign, it's essential to follow a strategic approach that involves preparation, implementation, and monitoring. This article will guide you through the key steps to ensure that your website maintains its search engine visibility and continues to attract valuable organic traffic after the redesign.

Preparation

A. Conduct a thorough SEO audit

Before embarking on a website redesign, it's crucial to understand the current SEO performance of your existing website. Conducting a comprehensive SEO audit will help you identify the strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement. Here are some key steps to take:

2024.05.14 10:02 unclekarl_ Uncle’s In-Depth Tristan Da Silva Scouting Report

Who is Tristan Da Silva?
Tristan Da Silva is a 6'9" tweener forward coming off a standout senior year at Colorado. Known for his versatile offensive skills akin to Kyle Kuzma, Tristan is this year's "Most Likely to Be Jaime Jaquez Jr." winner. He's set to immediately contribute as a valuable role player in the NBA.
Da Silva is intelligent, adaptable, and performs well both on and off the ball. His ability to thrive as a #3 or #4 scoring option—spotting up from three, attacking closeouts, and exploiting mismatches—makes him a potent offensive threat. Yet, questions linger about his transition to the NBA due to his athletic, strength, and length limitations. In college he was a solid defender but due to his physical limitations his defense is a big question mark for me.
NBA Fit:
I'm all in on players who bring versatility and a high basketball IQ to the table. Da Silva fits this mold perfectly as a high-floor, low-ceiling prospect likely to excel as either a starter or a key bench player, depending on the team's needs. Ideally, he should be paired with a strong, versatile forward or a defensive anchor to compensate for his limitations.
Da Silva is on my short list of players I would love for the Raptors to draft at #19. His fit next to Scottie and Co. is arguably the best out of the available prospects when we will be selecting. Furthermore, Da Silva is ready to contribute today and fits the BBQ timeline. If he can become the high end role player that I think he can be he would be a perfect forward to pair with Scottie.
Strengths:
  • Versatile offensive player
  • Smart player
  • Makes good cuts
  • Uses his size on mismatches
  • Has some 3-level scoring potential with step back middys off the dribble
  • Has a little back to the basket game with short hooks when guarded by smaller defenders
  • Not afraid to shoot the ball
  • Capable of creating his own offense
  • He was the guy at Colorado
  • Is a smart and willing passer
  • Has a nice turnaround jumper
  • Shows ability to create offense off of screens
  • Good shooter
  • Knows how to get open with off ball movement
  • Has projectable NBA role as a versatile scoring forward able to play off ball and provide on ball creation in a pinch.
  • Can go coast-to-coast off rebounds
  • Not afraid to take big shots
  • Good hands on defense
  • Smart team defender
  • Has a high motor on defense. Willing to do the little things.
  • Can protect the rim in a pinch as a help defender
Weaknesses:
  • Not very athletic
  • Not very long
  • Will his lack of athleticism limit his ability to create his offense
  • Needs to get stronger if he is going to be a PF/SF
  • He is the definition of a tweener. He is not athletic enough to be a wing but he is not strong enough and lacks the frame for an NBA power forward
  • Will he be able to get all the way to the hole in the NBA?
  • Seemed to struggle when guarded by larger defenders where he isn’t able to leverage his size
  • Will his defense transfer in the NBA?
  • Questions about his lateral quickness when switched onto quick wings and guards
  • Questions about his strength when asked to guard true power forwards
  • He will most likely never be a good rebounder
Stats and Analytics:
Here are Tristan Da Silva’s senior year stats and advanced stats at Colorado:
Senior Year Stats:

2024.05.14 09:24 SnooObjections2310 Dragon Tower is a hell for F2P/Low Spenders

Dragonforge trials are in my opinion the worst aspect of the game ever added in regards of time consumption.
The internet is filled with formations for every stage and for F2P users/low spenders, most of the formations will get you 2 stars.
So in order to progress to stage 6,7,8 you have to do manually hundreds of attempts every week (because you have heroes for 1 or 2 stars but not 3). And you know that formation "X" works because you did it last week and the week before.
The grinding is absolutely insane for people with underdeveloped dragon heroes. Why can't my progress of 2 stars be saved permanently? Why do I have to do the same thing over and over again - there is no different buff/debuff every week and the enemies stays the same as well.
Please Lilith, save my current progress at every level or at least add auto battle , so I can leave my phone for 2 hours and get the stage.

2024.05.14 09:08 ClayKavalier Ned Grabavoy's Track Record

Many people are calling for Ned's head lately.
I don't think he's been perfect. He has a positive reputation around the league at least as a person and businessperson. That doesn't mean he's a good scout.
I think it's important to separate hirings into categories one would attribute to the owner, the coach, or the general manager, even though it is reportedly a collaborative process and Paulson has to sign off on everything. It is also essential to note that different coaches have different systems, styles, strategies, and tactics. Players identified as having the skills, disposition, mentality, etc. for particular purposes under a particular coach may not work as well in different circumstances. For example, I'll suggest that having a slow right centerback isn't as much of a problem with a right fullback who can track back, central midfielders who can help cover, and an offense that defends higher, doesn't turn the ball over so often, and is effective in attack. Also, given the relatively sudden and unexpected departures of Porter and Wilkinson, and the transition periods between coaches and scouting/technical staff, it's important to note that there were times when there weren't people in particular roles and the styles, tactics, strategies, philosophies, etc. weren't clear or changed.
While I have no proof and Ned has expressed his enthusiasm for and confidence in Neville, I very much feel like Phil is Paulson's guy. It was said that he had a rapport with Paulson. I don't expect Ned to say anything publicly that isn't supportive. Maybe he actually believed Neville was the best candidate and maybe he still believes he's a good coach.
Using Wikipedia, I documented which players signed with the club or had their contracts extended while Ned was in different roles.
When he was promoted to Technical Director, he was specifically credited with scouting specific players. He's also credited with finalizing the deal with Evander in late 2022, after GW was fired but before he was officially GM. The rumor is that the deal was going to fall apart before Ned took over negotiations. I've italicized those players that Ned might have been involved in scouting, recruiting, signing, or extending who are still on the team. I've also indicated when I think it's pretty clear when a player was brought in by a coach because of some past association. I may be wrong about some and may have missed some. I know there is incomplete information but I only tried so hard. There are also situations where the player was technically signed to an extension in one year but it was effectively for the next season. The distinction between preseason and summer transfer window signings isn't always obvious. Also, many of these players were scouted for some time before a decision was made to sign them and an opportunity presented itself. For example, Wilkinson talked about wanting Lucas Melano for some time. I think Porter was big on him too. We had our eyes on Yimmi Chara for a long time too. Considering that, I'm not inclined to credit Ned with 2017 signings at all, and don't think he had much to do with the renewal or financial decisions until 2023.

With all of this info, I think we can blame Ned in whole or in part for the following current players being signed and / or having their contracts renewed:
  1. Rodriguez
  2. Evander
  3. Loría
  4. Williamson
  5. Moreno
  6. Mosquera
  7. McGraw
  8. Eric Miller
  9. Fogaça
  10. Antony
  11. Mora
  12. Diego Chara
  13. Araujo
  14. Paredes
  15. Ayala
  16. Mabiala
  17. Asprilla
  18. Kamal Miller
  19. Muse
  20. Crepeau
  21. Pantemis
  22. Sulte
  23. Zuparic
  24. Ikoba
  25. Bravo
Gee, that's the entire roster. Realistically though, I'm only crediting him for 2023 and maybe Rodriguez. He wasn't really GM until Evander at the end of 2022. GW, Paulson, Porter, Gio, and Neville all have had input and in many cases more authority in decision-making up to that point.
Which players came and went under Ned's watch should we not have signed or not let go?
And which players who are still on the roster just objectively suck and aren't MLS-level players? As starters or depth? Who doesn't even have any potential? Who has aged out? Who is good but doesn't fit the system? Who doesn't fit Neville's system but fit Gio's? Note: this is all in MLS-level terms.
  1. Rodriguez was great but is now just good and arguably doesn't fit the system. He's a second striker but we only play with one forward. I don't think the 4-4-2 we tried against Seattle was a good idea. Obviously, it didn't work. Maybe a diamond of Evander, Chara, Ayala, and Paredes. We'd need more defense to cover for Mosquera getting forward and Moreno tucking in. But I digress...
  2. Evander is good but poorly utilized and inconsistent. He plays to the level of his teammates. He's not a leader. Could he be great? Probably not as a 10. He's got flashes though, so I hope I'm wrong.
  3. Loría in my eyes isn't MLS level and hit his ceiling. I'll accept arguments that he's a good sub for the money.
  4. Williamson is good but oft-injured, and inconsistently plays to the level of his teammates.
  5. Moreno is inconsistent, sometimes played out of position, doesn't fit the system, but has potential. He takes chances, which I respect, but maybe doesn't have the best judgement. Maybe he can learn. I hope so. He tries. He's good. He could be great. He probably shouldn't be the starter all the time.
  6. Mosquera is a good winger but terrible fullback. Or maybe he's a good wingback but terrible fullback, depending on how you define the roles. Maybe he has potential. I increasingly doubt it. He doesn't seem to have the mentality for it. He's Alvas Powell 2.0. I'd love to be wrong. He tried last match. If he becomes a good fullback he'll be great overall.
  7. McGraw is good but terrible in the system, especially when Mosquera doesn't track back. He's just too slow and sometimes has poor judgement.
  8. Eric Miller is good as a sub right fullback and decent as a sub left fullback.
  9. Fogaça isn't good and has no potential. I'd love to be wrong. I like his workrate but he's not MLS quality and never will be.
  10. Antony is good, not great, and maybe has potential. His first touch is garbage, he's one-footed, and he doesn't make smart runs. He fast though. I don't think he can succeed on a shitty team like ours because he won't see the ball enough. Ideally, he'd understudy to a great winger and learn from them.
  11. Mora is surprisingly good. He's opportunistic. He's a leader. He's committed. He puts in effort. I still don't think he's a DP and I'd kind of prefer he was a subto an even better forward but it's hard to argue with success.
  12. Diego Chara. He's still very good. People who say he's lost a step are confusing his inability to cover everybody else's mistakes, and his own occasional lapses, with having lost it. He's barely lost anything. He'd look better on a team that wasn't absolute ass. It's sad for him.
  13. Araujo. I think he's good but just too slow for this system. His passing is good and he's good with the ball at his feet. His positioning and judgement seem fine, generally. I'd bet he'd look better on a better team too. I could say the same for some former centerbacks as well.
  14. Paredes. He's good. He's developed and grown on me. He's pretty consistent and generally puts in effort. He rarely pisses me off. I'd hoped he'd develop into a 6 but that's apparently not to be. I think he's hit his ceiling. He's a great rotator or sub. Not a star.
  15. Ayala. He's good. Could become great if he can stay healthy and get more development. I'm worried about his injury history. He's a bit small and can get pushed around a bit.
  16. Mabiala. He's just too old and slow now. Good dude. Maybe his last extension was too long. I think the tactics are especially bad for him but he wasn't good enough last season either. Father Time just caught up faster than we expected.
  17. Asprilla. Is he good? I don't think he really is. But his moments of sheer genius, his workrate, and his heart make him great. As a sub. Flare counts for a lot. I love it when Asprilla dazzles.
  18. Kamal Miller. He's good but too slow for the system.
  19. Muse. No idea man.
  20. Crepeau. He's great but we sure haven't given him a chance to be great for us yet.
  21. Pantemis. He's good and could be great.
  22. Sulte. I've only ever seen him be awful. I wish him the best but have no reason for optimism, especially since Muse came on.
  23. Zuparic. He's the best player in the league, obviously. He's good. Maybe he was great once. He's not good enough for the system at least. If Neville ever substantively changes tactics I think he could be solid for us again. Seems like his attitude may be a problem though. Who knows what to believe?
  24. Ikoba. Absolute mystery to me. I assume the worst from context clues. Wish him the best. I think he, Sulte, and all who came before underscore how wretched our academy system is. Who do we blame for that? Does it matter? I think it does. I'd love to develop cheap players we could sell to reinvest in the club.
  25. Bravo. He's great. He could be brilliant. He makes the occasional mistake but that's the price of greatness. He takes risks. He's a fighter too. Love this dude but he still gets underrated and shit on. We're so much better with him on the team. How often do we have good fullbacks, especially a left back. Him, Moreira, and Villafaña are kind of it, right? Farfan showed promise but bringing Jorge back stunted his prospects with us?
I think we are less than the sum of our parts. I don't think too many of our players are scrubs. We have too much invested in central midfield, centerback, and keeper. Central midfield was complicated by injuries and Chara's insane longevity. Our poor DP signings hurt our ability to move on from them in terms of timing and money. Ivacic was still on the books well into the last transfer window. Mabiala is taking up roster and cap space. Zuparic is questionable. McGraw and Araujo just don't seem to be good fits for the system that Neville is trying to implement. Kamal Miller isn't either but Neville doesn't realize that. I'll suggest that Mosquera not defending hurt the CBs last season too, along with the missing attacking DPs.
I don't know what we can realistically do about our problems near-term. I don't think Nevilleball works even with a right fullback who can defend and faster centerbacks. That would help. But the lack of off-the-ball movement, lack of ball progression through midfield, lack of creative runs, poor passing, low pressure, shitty zonal marking on set piece defending, not closing passing lanes, not stepping to the ball; not making incisive, line-splitting passes; not communicating, poor rotations, not making the final pass or taking shots in the box, passing back all the time, slow build-up, not covering the far post, injuries... It's a lot. Some of these problems predate Neville, so he ought to have accounted for them and adjusted accordingly. The FO has denied lack of talent is a problem. That leaves coaching and attitude or mentality. Attitude and mentality often come back to coaching IMHO.

2024.05.14 09:07 Personal_Respond6879 Need help/advice…please!!

Hi all,
I’ve posted in another sub-Reddit group (Lymphoma) before but I’ll give a short back story. My dad’s (64M) going through his third relapsed DLBCL Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma treatment and has been put on a combination therapy of Bendamustine and Polatuzumab Vedotin.
Now, due to complications, he’s been given the two drugs separately (1 cycle in 2 weeks) and has currently only finished 2 cycles.
However, since things never go smooth for his treatment, he developed a Staphylococcus aureus cough infection and has been taking Levofloxacin + Linezolid for the past 10 days. His cough had gotten a bit better until today, when he’s been coughing every 10 mins, with phlegm. Moreover, we are so scared for him because he’s been having very low blood cell counts:
Platelets: 20,000-30,000/cu mm Hemoglobin: 7.6 gm/dL Lymphocytes: 6% Neutrophils: 90% T3: 61 ng/dL TSH: 8.50 uIU/mL Creatinine: 2.1 mg/dL
Overall, he is in a very frail and low energy state. His oncologist has postponed his chemo because of his weak state and kidney issues. He said he might do a platelet infusion if the counts go below 20,000. My dad’s also been taking Eltrombopag for platelet production, among other million medications.
We are just very frustrated and scared for my dad. Some days it feels like he is getting better and the other days, my heart wrenches to see him get worse. I don’t wanna lose him. Please someone help or give any advice on what this condition could be 😭😭
He is also not a candidate for Bone marrow transplant because of his general weak health condition and his age.
His platelets just won’t go up and it’s been 5 days that they just won’t deviate beyond this range.
Please let me know if someone else had the same experience!!

2024.05.14 08:59 Individual-Debate708 Broken condom, No ejaculation, 7 days before ovulation

Thank you

2024.05.14 08:56 EvilZero86 How I keep weight on me while back-to-back extended fasting?

How I keep weight on me and do back-to-back fasting?
When I do back-to-back extended fasts I go into a fasted state into a feasting state. I rapidly gain weight back from water weight, body density, muscle strength, etc. I break the fasts in different ways. Though, I prefer to break it healthy or with fruits or vegetables. Sometimes I break it with conventional foods like snacks or a microwavable vegan meal. It also depends on the fast as well. If it was a pure dry fast the whole way through then I'm breaking mostly on fruits then later some vegetables. I find it easy to gain weight back. I tend to feast on different foods. A lot of vegetables with some favorite snack foods like chips and one carby meal. Along with more snack foods like packages of cashews and some sweet snacks with not too much sugar in them.
Then my feasting window may go longer than I would like it. Then I'll move to eating pizza and plant-based burgers, potato wedges etc. So, just a lot of carbs and snacks.
The snacks really add a lot of calories very quickly. At the moment I am probably around 184lbs. After ended those back to back fasts I was probably about 181lbs. Before the start of those fasts I estimated I weighed around 195lbs. During the breaks and refeed periods I get back to working out. Full body workouts, machines weights and leg workout and cardio at the track. Carbs plus working out adds a lot of weight rapidly. Usually, after working out I start eating and I eat all night long. I'm eating something once I finish the meal, I am then snacking for the rest of the night. Along with lots of water. That adds a lot of water weight as well. All of which comes off in the first 2 days of the next fast.
Now, doing back-to-back extended fastings ultimately is reducing my weight as my overall net fat loss continues to trend downward despite feasting on refeeds. Because it's a lot of fasting. More fasting then eating basically. According to a friend 145lbs would be my weight at very low body fat percentage at 3-4% body fat levels. So, with that figure I can estimate I'm carrying about 40lbs of fat including water weight and body density, food contents. Without the dramatic weight loss in the beginning of the fast then probably around 25lbs of pure fat at this very moment. Although, at this moment my goal is not to keep lots of weight on me. I will allow my weight to trend downward to a normal body weight of 170lbs. If I wanted to keep weight then eating and feasting a lot more on carbs would do it.
How I maintained weight by living off almost exclusively an 80-90% vegetable diet along with back-to-back dry fasting for nearly an entire year of 2018?
I lived on this diet for nearly 3 years from 2017-2020. Yes, this diet really has a lot of benefits. First, there were no messy bowel movements. There was no smell. No stinky smell. Nothing. It's a diet filled with a lot of fiber. And there's very little concentration of any macronutrients. I received a lot of some nutrients but, it was slow absorption because of the large amount of fiber in the diet. I allowed myself to eat only 10g of sugar in a snack food. I barely had any conventional sugar. Sometimes, wheat bread or some variation of breads I ate outside of eating vegetables. That was as worst as my diet was during those 3 years. No meats. No cheese, no dairy, no eggs. Just vegetabes with a small amount of fruit. These vegetable mostly consisted of steamed or boiled cruciferous vegetables such as cauliflower, broccoli, brussel sprouts, and carrots, potatoes. Leafy greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles, olives, string beans and salads with no sauces. Every now and then I might eat a very expensive small personal vegan pizza made out of cauliflower, vegan cheese and vegetables.
With a diet like that you would think it would be hard to maintain weight. Initially, I lost weight. Once I reached around 170-175lbs in back to back fastings. During my eating I normally feasted a few hours a day on these foods. I counted the calories and I always reached 2000 or more calories in eating. During two back to back water fasts is where I lost most of my weight from 195lbs to 178lbs. The water fasts were 13 days then followed by a 9 day fast.
Every other fasts were hard and soft dry. I was doing on average 2 extended dry fasts a month of 5-9 days then followed by 5-9 days of eating during the whole year of 2018. I feasted as much as I could every day. I probably gained 2-3lbs or more fat back.
With that diet there was very little detoxing during the first 7 days. Most of life just felt physically normal in the first 6 days of dry fasting. My body was highly adapted to it and it was as easy as driving. I never struggled with any detox, pain symptoms, fatigue, withdrawal effects. nothing. Only going to 7 days did I began to release a lot of toxins and things started dying when hitting that wall. The second crises. I never really broke through it.
I eventually reached around 168 - 170lbs. Like I said, your weight eventually trends downward with all of the fasting even though I feasted on buffets of foods. If you're naturally underweight then you would probably want to add a lot of water weight on a healthy diet or a conventional healthy carb diet through feasting. Along with weight training adding muscle seems to traps more weight on the body as well. Most people deal with being overweight in that case stick to high water content vegetables, workouts and 1 carb meal along with an abundance of vegetables and water to refeed in back to back extended dry fasts.

2024.05.14 08:52 AncientPC Thoughts and tips after climbing to 10k in 2 weeks.

Yes, I had a lot of time. I originally played this game when it launched during the pandemic and stopped at 1k trophies, and picked it up again ~3 years later. I want to share my thoughts about the last ~15 days while it's still fresh and answer any questions people might have.
I have a 43% win rate in 3600 BR games, and 300+ games with each of the following heroes: Angel, Bastion, Blizzard, Blot, Cyclops, Ghost, Levi, Lynx, Ramsay, Raven, Sparkle, Vi. I have the most fun with Angel, Raven, Ramsay, and Lynx.
I've unlocked every hero except Alice, paid for Blizzard and Vi.

Trophy Tiers

Broadly speaking, the percentage of poor players decreases as you gain higher trophies. Being completely honest, I saw a bunch of mistakes made by enemies, teammates, and myself at 9k trophies. At 10k+ trophies, most of the mistakes I see are my own.

Low Tier: <3k

I have a second account on an old phone at this tier that I use to play under powered / rarely used heroes in casual games. It's mostly bots and occasional humans with rudimentary gameplay.

Mid Tier: 3-7k

People are still misplaying all the time, but in general are improving and trying to coordinate as a team. Pickup teams are pretty easy to create and people are generally friendly. Honestly, I probably had the most fun at this tier since I enjoy playing the game casually with a variety of heroes and different team compositions (vs trying to win all the time).
There's still plenty of bots in offpeak hours.

High Tier: >7k

This is the first tier where it starts to get competitive. Relatedly, this is also the first tier I started seeing bad manners and griefing.
Early on when I was around 2k, I teamed up with some high trophy players and played in 10k games. That's when I learned first hand how much faster and aggressive the game was. On certain maps (Bank, Village, Hotel), fights will often initiate after picking up ~2 items.
As for bad manners, I'm used to it from playing plenty of other online games but enjoyed the fact that Bullet Echo largely doesn't have it. However at 7k+, now you get a lot of people bm'ing when they kill you, if two people fight over an item, etc. It most commonly manifests as sprays/stickers, but also a lot of head shaking and the occasional teamkill grenade for taking "their" item.
Pickup teams are a lot more mercenary. People join up, and if the team loses most will leave; there's little to no chat banter anymore. If someone misplays a few times, they often get kicked from the team, the team is disbanded, and/or they get defriended. This, uhh, has totally never happened to me.

10k

The "end game." Heroes' power typically ranges 1650 - 2200 (Ultimate level 70 to Immortal), with the occasional Divine player. There's relatively few bots during peak times.
The games are fast and brutal, and any small mistake is quickly exploited. My winrate has dropped significantly even when playing my better characters, but I'm learning. Pre-10k, I'd typically open 3x battle and skull chests under 30 minutes. Now, opening battle and skull chests has become significantly harder.

Bravery Road

I don't have any experience with this tier since I lack Divine heroes. Others have shared that it's mostly full of bots.

Heroes

Tier List

This is based on 9k+ trophy BR in the hands of a good player:

Bastion

Bastion is great for bot farming and low / mid tier gameplay, but is easily outplayed in 7k+ games. I had a bunch of mid tier Bastion friends that I invited to 7k+ games and they've always left after a few games due to being outplayed.
Outplaying Bastion is usually done through kiting or baiting and flanking with teammates since their range is too short and movement speed is too slow. Bastion (and Blot to an extent) is outclassed by more mobile shield heroes: Angel, Hurricane, Satoshi.
Leviathan gets a special call out since his turret is great for zoning and has extended spray that can be abused to hit behind walls.

Grenade Users (Firefly/Shenji/Sparkles/Freddie)

Pre-10k, most of these are terrible nade spammers hoping to get an easy kill. I've seen so many Firefly users use more nades than bullets in a round, adding little value chucking nades into thin air. Shenji users, please use your nades to zone the enemies and less about trying to kill them. Also stop burning the grass because you can, especially when you're up against snipers.

Vi

My win rate with Vi is significantly higher than the rest of the field, which shows how broken she is. I think she needs to be nerfed, and she's my most played and highest leveled character (Stellar).
I also have some bad experiences after teaming up with a bunch of Vi-only tryhards (about 6-8 different teammates for 5+ games each). They're generally incredibly aggressive and good at racking up a high kill count, but often lack map awareness or team dynamics besides spamming, "Let's go!".

Tips

League

Climb as fast as you can, as high as you can since you get more loot per chest depending on your league level, and streaking gets harder the higher you climb in trophies. Bot farming (read below) is the easiest way to streak games and hit the next league level.
I think there is an argument to be made about staying in purple 1. I found it significantly easier to win most of the contracts at purple 1, but I was grouped with all the other grinders once I hit purple 2. This may or may not be a red herring.

Spending Money

Contracts

Star Pass

Technology

It's $10/mo. You get a random hero motivated and 8 drone plugins (2 of each color) per week, and 10 tech tokens/day. 70 tech tokens/week is enough to get drone blueprints, 2xpersonal gears boxes, some squad gear, 500 nuts, and 5 costume tokens. Also your name is highlighted in gold.
I think it's great for the first month or two for the personal gear and drone parts, but not sure if it's worth keeping afterwards.

Bots

Recognizing bots means you can adapt your strategy when playing with and against them.

Identification

Pre-game

You start recognizing the bot names after a few hundred games.

In game

Farming (BR, SvS, sabo, koth)

Bot farming is a great way to hit the streak for a league jump or grind for festival tokens.
I find sabo, SvS, and sometimes arcade in offpeak hours (or other region's servers) the easiest modes for bot farming.
Generally bots will collect a few items and start roaming looking for enemies. If a firefight ensues, the bots will start swarming towards noise like zombies.
The best characters to farm bots are those that can do a lot of damage without taking any themselves. Since bots will run in a straight line towards you, assault rifles and snipers excel at bot farming.

As teammates

It sucks to get bots as teammates, but if you understand their behavior you can take advantage of it to try and win the round.

Drones

Zenith gets increasingly valuable in 7k+ games as you never have time to revive and/or enemies will camp dead bodies. Zenith's ability to revive through walls can also be exploited.

In game tactics

This is already a long post, so I'll brain dump common improvements / mistakes that I come across. Feel free to ask questions in the comments.

tldr

I thoroughly enjoyed playing Bullet Echo, bots and all.

2024.05.14 08:51 air401 I have no grass in my game.

I have scoured high and low for all manner of suggestions on dynolod's forums, reddit, specific ini settings and load orders of mods and i cant get my grass to show up to save my life.
What information do you guys need to give me a headsup on what i need to fix or look at?
I have xedit'd my mods, fixed wild edits manually, completed all the autoclean edits, double checked my load order an tried all the suggested ini fixes i could find. I just cant get it to show up. I know i have multiple landdscape and grass modds but i also have a good amount of patches involved as well.
Heres my load order atm with all conflicts resolved that were originally prompted to me through LOOT. All 200+(mods, not conflicts) of them. Wall of text.

2024.05.14 08:32 sharpeguy I cleared the underworld w 32 Fear, here's how

Preamble

This is going to be a bit of a lengthy post so bear with me. I am going to get into boons, arcana cards, vows, and weapon/equipment choice in this post and how I eventually was able to clear the underworld at 32 fear. All of this is in context of the build I am going for and the weapon I am using. Different vows, cards, etc. may be better for different weapons and playstyles. This is not a definitive guide and I have only beaten it once so far and by sticking to one weapon during my attempts. I enjoy writing about stuff like this and hope that this can possibly help y'all.
I finished the surface on my 23rd run and then the underworld on the next for reference. I just now cleared the underworld at 32 fear on my 143rd run. Of those between were me completing testaments, trying out weapons/aspects, and chaos trials. I attempted 32 fear a total of 36 times before I finally got it. Total in game time according to steam is 74 hours lol (I had a four day weekend and my gf is out of town so this is pretty much all I did).
Proof of run

Weapon/Aspect: Momus Staff

Firstly you want to get enough resources to unlock and fully upgrade the aspect, I think 10 total nightmare? Giving your special +30 power. I wouldn't bother 32 fear until you can get it all the way up.
For a few runs while I was using the skull with Melinoe/Persephone aspect, as I was trying to complete the 20 fear testament simultaneously. Stopped since I decided I wasn't really comfortable with the skull and switched to Melinoe's staff. Did that for a while and then saw this video and decided to give the Momus staff a shot, where i then won in 7 runs after switching. It also probably helped that I changed around some vows around this time, more on that later.
Watch the video for a breakdown but essentially you want Poseidon special + legendary boon, and ideally the double moonshot hammer that gives your special 2 more projectiles that seek. He switches his binds for left and right click but I did not, up to you.
Took a minute to get used to but essentially I just spammed speciall the entire time in fights, kiting enemies when necessary. I used my cast defensively to root enemies and create space mostly until I got a 3 specific boons, more later. Did not really use omegas at all, as I turned off the magick regen card and turned on the vow that removes your magick at the start of each encounter. If I did gain some magick, I would only use it for the omega special to regain some health when it was safe in fights (5 healing if you are near it when it explodes).

Arcana Cards

This is what I used but some may find other ones more to their liking. I will explain my choices below. Be sure to upgrade these to their max potential. The descriptions that I give are referencing their maxed out bonus. I almost exclusively used my charon cards (obol points) to order 8 moon dust in the camp to upgrade faster. Also having 30 grasp is required so be sure to get that maxed out too. Just playing the game should get you there. Gathering bones and completing minor prophecies are helpful in getting more moondust and nightmare faster to upgrade your cards and aspects. I have starred the one's that I think are almost absolutely necessary.
Arcana card choices
I. The Sorceress: Not using omega moves with this build for the most part, mainly chosen to just fill out the top row to awaken the divinity card.
II. The Wayward Son: +2 health (with 50% healing reduction from a vow) is definitely helpful, some much needed passive healing.
* III. The Huntress: +50% attack and special damage when you have less than 100 magick is probably a must have. Especially in my vows set up where I pretty much never have any magick.
IV. Death: Also to just fill out the row for divinity, not really using omega moves.
* V. The Messenger: +10% dodge chance is a lifesaver.
VII. The Titan: More health (and magick) is helpful for the early game before you get any centaur hearts.
* X. The Lovers: 0 damage from bosses for 3 hits is absolutely nuts, this was a whole keepsake in the last game. Attacks that miss you from dodge or daze from Apollo don't count towards a hit as well.
XI. The Swift Runner: Just generally helpful for kiting and running around, especially with increased enemy movement from a vow.
* XII. Eternity: 3 death defiances are absolutely essential probably in any playthrough unless you are a god at not getting hit ever.
* XVIII. Origination: Enemies with 2 curses take +50% damage is fantastic and helps to absolutely shred through them
* XXII. The Champions: 3 chances to reroll boon choices among other things is pretty much a must for run consistency. I would mainly use it on my first Poseidon boon to get the special. Would also use again to try and get slip or blast damage one or legendary from him, also on Hestia to get her cast or the one that allows you to aim the cast (both possible prerequisites for their duo boon, more later).
XXIII. The Artificer: I slept on this one big time at first until I saw someone using it in a 32 heat run on youtube. Change a minor reward into a major one 3 times is fantastic and really helps in the early game. I would use all 3 in the first region for a chance to get a pom, heart, gold, boon, or hammer. I would almost put this one as a must but you do you.
XXIV. Divinity: 20% extra chance to get an epic boon. Activated by the full top row, its just nice to have to possibly get some more benefits out of boons.
Alternatives: Like I mentioned before I only activate I and IV mainly to activate divinity. You could lose them and go for IX Night (automatic charging for your hex) or XVI The Fates (+3 rolls to change location rewards). I feel like hexes are not all that impactiful personally (except for a couple). Also changing location rewards is a toss up, meh. You could also lose XI extra sprint speed to to open up 5 grasp and go for XV Stength (take and deal more damage at low hp), XVII The Boatman (get more gold at the start of the run), or XIX Excellence (higher % for rare boons offered), which all have valid arguments. In hindsight I think giving up those 3 for Stregnth or Excellence might be worth it, might try in future runs.

Oath of the Unseen Vows

Throughout my runs I experimented a lot with the various choices and found that the ones I chose are best for how I play. It is really up to you, this is just how I did it. I mostly messed around with damage taken, enemy spawns, and health, the rest pretty much stayed constant. I originally was using the 9 minute time limit per region for a majority of my runs until I switched aspects (and the 7 minute several times). I eventually decided that I was playing too aggresively to beat the clock and would lose most of, if not all my death defiances by Tartarus/Chronos, or earlier. I did still have decent amount of time to beat Chronos if I got there with the time limit, just the health and death defiance loss was too much. Here is what I went with and explanations for each, I starred the ones I think should be kept on and are relatively easy to deal with.
Vows Used
Vow of Blood (+3): Just don't get hit duh. No but seriously +60% damage to you hurts, a lot. I really wish I did not have to use this, but the alternatives I think are worse. As you play more you'll get better and learn attack patterns and how to kite effectively.
Vow of Dominance (+3): Enemies now have +30% health which is rough, but with no time limit, just take your time in killing enemies off safely.
Vow of Rebuke (+2): Enemies have 2 barriers before they can take damage, not too bad. Makes clearing enemies a bit harder, but with the poseidon boon, you apply two instances of damage with each hit. So only one special shot with the boon will clear the barrier, also the wave the shoots out of them helps to clear barriers of the other enemies.
Vow of Fury (+3): Enemies are 20% faster (and their projectiles too?! I'm pretty sure this is the case, I haven't played without it in a while so I'm not exactly sure). This one took some getting used to, not much I can say except just keep trying. Another +3 makes them 40% faster which I do not recommend. The screaming shades, wolves and their heads, thorny spinny guys in Oceanus, rats, and Chronos are all insane with 40% extra speed.
Vow of Suffering (+2): +100% for the first hit you take in each encounter. Same as Vow of Blood, its rough, wish I could go without it as well.
Vow of Commotion (+3): 60% more foes in encounters (does not affect the boss summons). Had this one a tier or two lower, or not at all, when I was experimenting with the time limit. The AOE from Poseidon definely helps here, just take your time to clear out enemies. It can get pretty bad in tartarus with the bags and skulls everywhere though so just be careful.
Vow of Haunting (+2): Enemies have 50% of spawning a revenant when killed which if left alone long enough will respawn them. These are annoying as hell but not terrible once you get used to it. On death a flaming green skull thing launches out of them and travels a bit of a distance, just run ovecollect them and they are negated, don't need to damage or whatever. Can sometimes be hard to spot if behind a wall or obstacle. Overall not that bad, its not the end of the world if you let them respawn. Definitely though go for the ones that would respawn an enemy that are hard/annoying to deal with ASAP e.g. rat spawning satyrs, wolves, any projectile shooting enemy. Sometimes I feel like rats almost always spawn a revenant which is annoying. I honestly think they should also rework this so that if an enemy respawns it can't have another revenant spawn.
* Vow of Wandering (+3): 25% chance for enemies to be from the next region. Really not that bad at all, just have to deal with some more annoying enemies with larger health pools.
Vow of Scars (+2): Healing is only 50% effective is not that bad. You only get +2 healing passively from the card now and a lot less from fountains and such, goes hand in hand with blood and suffering, you'll get better at not getting hit.
* Vow of Destitution (+2): Charon's shop (and wells) are 80% more expensive. You'll miss out some boons, healing, poms, hearts, etc. but its not awful, you will still gain a good amount of gold to usually buy a boon or something at the end of each region except Oceanus I found. Also with Poseidon in your god pool, he has some boons that can help with getting more gold like minor find doubling up, increased value of minor finds, and sunken treasure.
* Vow of Panic (+1): No more magick at the start of each encounter. In this build you don't really need it anyways so this is a freebie point of fear pretty much. Also if you decide to have the card that regens magick on it pretty much negates it after a little while.
** Vow of Forsaking (+2): This one might actually be beneficial. The two boon options you don't pick will not longer show up in your run. This is why I have the boon rerolls on, so I can guarantee to get Poseidon special on my first boon. Otherwise this helps to increase your chances of getting legendary or duo boons (if you have the prerequisites) since the boon choice pool is lowered after each pick. It is unfortunate though if both prereqs for poseidons legendary are in the given choices and you are out of rolls though.
* Vow of Arrogance (+4): Prime 10 magick for each level of rarity above common that you pick. Again, not using magick hardly in this build so doesn't really matter. Also in lower fear runs I have used this, it does not really matter all that much even when you are using omega moves.
Unused:

Boons/Hammers/Keepsakes/Familiar

Poseidon: Equip his keepsake at start, reroll for wave flourish (special) if needed and rarify. Afterwards look for slippery slope then crashing wave ideally. This primes you to get his legendary which gives +150% damage from splash effects to bosses. Other great ones are double up which is nuts that it can possibly double your hearts, gold, and poms you pick up. Ocean's bounty is nice to increase gold. Water fitness is pretty good if you can get 4 water elements to give you +100 health. Flood control is also nice for damage reduction.
Hestia: Equip her keepsake after Erebus if you did not already get her in your god pool (you get up to 4 gods like in Hades I). Ideally you want her both cast and glowing coal, which lets you aim your cast. Either of which in combination with slippery slope gets you access to Poseidon/Hestia duo boon scalding vapor whcih does insane damage over time. I'm not sure if you should prioritize glowing coal over her cast honestly, both have their upsides alone, but you do want both hopefully. With glowing coal so you can aim your cast since you will be fighting from a distance mostly (not always but in how I played this build I did for the most part), which can activate the steam cloud on foes with slip. Hestia cast is less safe and you need to be closer to enemies to get the steam cloud to activate, but it does more damage, continously applying steam on the enemy. Other boons like soot sprint are nice, almost like Athena's dash in the first game. Slow cooker infusion is alright but you may not get many fire elements to increase your base damage power. Flammable coating is great and helps to melt through armored enemies. Burnt offering is pretty nice to increase you health (and magick) pool if you happen to get offered to sacrifice a useless boon.
Other helpful god boons: Pretty much anything that can help apply another curse to enemies. Demeter and Aphrodite are probably the best since theirs are easy to apply without much effort like frigid sprint, gale force, glamour gain, and passion dash. The other gods require secondary boons to get a curse or your attack/special needs to give the curse, you won't really ever be using your attack and your special is reserved for Poseidon.
Hammers: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like I remember in Hades I if you chose a specific hammer you would be locked out of other hammer choices that affect the benefitting move. If the same applies to this game avoid picking a hammer that affects your special for your first hammer if it is not double moonshot, and hope for it on your second hammer. The DPS from Momus staff is still great with spamming special without it (I won my run without it). You could also go ahead and pick up rapid moonfire or shimmering moonshot on your first one because they are pretty powerful too, and I also may be wrong about the hammer exclusion thing.
Keepsakes: So of course Poseidon first, always. Hestia second if you don't get her in your god pool Erebus. Up to you and what you like for Oceanus, maybe choose Demeter or Aphrodite. If I got Hestia I would generally use any one of the following:
Once in the mourning fields I would typically go with the Lion Fang, or possibly one of the above maybe. Lastly in Tartarus I would either use Knuckle Bones (if I felt comfortable with my health and death defiances), Luckier Tooth, or Evil Eye (if Chronos killed me last).
Sidenote: Is Echo bugged? Or is my game just messed up? I was never given the chance to give her a gift so I've never gotten her keepsake :(
Familiar Toula: Sorry Frinos, but Toula is just superior. She gives you an extra death defiance which when upgraded fully gives you 40 health on death. Also upgrading her attack lets her attack more times before she takes a little catnap (cute). She does 99 damage with each strike which is not insignificant. You don't need to go out of your way to sprint over her whenever she is resting to activate her, if she happens to be where you are running it is just some nice extra little bit of DPS. She has actually killed a few bosses for me in my runs lol.

The Winning Run

So all of this information is from finally beating 32 fear. I followed this strategy in my head for the most part. I ended up not getting double moonshot, but did get rapid moonfire. Poseidon offered me both prereqs for his legendary in the same choice without any rerolls left unfortunately, chose slip of course. I did get the duo boon and both of Hestia's cast boons which was nuts. Also I got rare crop right after I got Poseidon's special so it became heroic by the end. I also got offered to sacrifice rare crop after it became heroic by hestia to get more health, and I was then offered it again at epic rarity which increased 3 other of my boons which happened to hit Hestia's cast boons. I did not get any other way to apply another curse other than slip unfortunately as well. Started Tartarus with 2 or 3 death defiances + luckier tooth and beat Chronos on my last life. Overall though, not a perfect run but it still worked. Would have been even more nuts if I got the right hammer, legendary, and another curse effect

TL;DR

Momus Staff good. More special projectiles hammer + Poseidon special + legendary + Poseidon/Hestia duo = nuts DPS. Arcana cards important, vows are tough.

2024.05.14 08:18 altha43 Short rests sorcerer build

Hello,
For my first playthrough I've been playing sorcerer with two friends playing monk and paladin (and shadowheart as our cleric support).
I went full sorcerer for most of act 1 and was mostly useless even when I reached lvl 5 as my friends who are setting our rythm only need short rests (mainly for health and ki) meaning I am either out of spells most of the time (if I use twinned haste for instance I pretty much can't do anything the following figths) and using low damage cantrips (and my damage is ridiculous) or never using said spells in case there's a tough fight I need them for.
So for act 2 at lvl 6 I rerolled as a 5lvl warlock 1 lvl sorcerer using hunger of Hadahex and eldritch blast using short rests to replenish my spells slots and have been much much stronger and useful to my team. However I've been missing the sorcerer's elemental aspect and wish I could play a fire or storm sorcerer without needing to beg my friends to long rest after each fight. Does anyone have a build that could help ? I'm currently lvl 7.
Thanks!

2024.05.14 08:10 vadroqvertical How I (personally and mostly) overcome FQAD, took me ~600 days

Hey everyone,
I wanted to share how I personally managed to overcome FQAD (or at least the worst part of it, lets hope to not relapse). I’m not quite at 100%, but I’m somewhere in the 95-99% range, depending on whether it’s a good or bad day. Initially, I experienced tendon and muscle issues all over my body—from my feet to my neck. I dealt with some minor fatigue, twitching, and cracking. It took me around 600 days, including at least 500 PT/rehab sessions, to reach this point.
I still take quite a few supplements, but they’ve helped me maintain that 95% level. If I stop taking them for a while, I notice a decline. Here’s what’s been working for me:
Other strategies that worked for me:
  1. Rehab: This had the biggest impact alongside time. Over 500 rehab sessions, I gradually loaded my tendons, allowing me to regain normalcy. I can lift, hike, cycle, do chores, and work. I could even run, but I’m not a fan. I’ll continue with rehab, transitioning to normal training over time. I even made a special instagram account for my rehab progress, it also contains some information how to start if someone wants on their own, that link is in my profile here in reddit
  2. Time: The 19 months of being floxed played a significant role in my recovery.
  3. Fasting/Caloric Deficit: Initially, fasting caused flare-ups, but now it’s fine. The caloric deficit during fasting likely triggers autophagy, including mitophagy.
  4. Breathing exercises: I do Wim Hof Breathing, Box Breathing, and the Physiological Sigh from Hubberman throughout the day.
  5. Near Infrared Therapy: Once I found the right dosage, it noticeably sped up my leg recovery. (my dosage is quiet low, its currently like 1,3j/cm2 and still gradually adding more slowly slowly)
  6. Heat and Cold Exposure: I exposed myself to both heat and cold, which helps with mitochondria biogenesis.
  7. Social Interaction: Having supportive friends, especially my wife, made a huge difference but also finding other floxies who shared the same mindset about doing something about it
  8. Supplements: I’ve tried many, but the ones listed above have been the most beneficial.
Final Thoughts:
I might be luckier than others in terms of how hard I was floxed, but who really knows? I credit my recovery to a combination of factors: antioxidants, magnesium, persistence in rehab, and the realization that I had to save myself. There’s no magic cure; it’s a process. Once I shifted my mindset, I made progress. It’s not just mental—it’s action.

2024.05.14 08:05 Dinosautistic The coins you should be looking out for

So I’ve been out of collecting for the last few years since scalpers ruined it, but I’ve been collecting since I was 5 years old, and have learned a lot about collecting.
If you’re a serious collector, I’d recommend joining the Facebook groups: - AUSTRALIAN COINS & NOTES - Buy Swap Sell by FNQ Groups - ACBC - Australian Coins Banknotes Collectables - Coins And Banknotes Australia (CBA) Buy Sell Swap
Those were the main 3 when I was buying/collecting a lot. The admins are all really great too. You’ll learn a lot in those groups.
IN REGARDS WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR
If you’re collecting for value, there’s the obvious ones like the $1 ‘mule’ from 2000, $2 Red Poppy from 2012, 20c ‘wavy’ from 1966, round 50c from 1966, etc.
A good way to know if a coin is valuable is often based off its mintage.
In regards to $2 coins, you want anything really with a mintage less than 2 million. So 2012 Red Poppy (0.5 million), 2013 Purple Coronation (1 million), 2015 Red Lest We Forget (1.46 million), 2014 Green Remembrance Day (1.85 million) are the main ones, but there are others of course.
For $1, it’s somewhat similar, in regards to NOT error coins, but mintage wise, you’ll want to look for 1992 MOR (0.008 million - very rare), 2016 50th Anniversary of Decimal Currency (0.56 million), 2021 MOR (0.16 million), 2015 Anzac (1.4 million).
Surprisingly, the ‘A’, ‘U’, and ‘S’ stamped coins from 2019 with a mintage of 1.512 million never really was super desired, but it might become more valuable in future.
50c, 20c, & 10c don’t have much worthy of collecting for low mintage wise. 50c there are a couple of low mintage years for COA (1985 & 1993 - 1 million mintage, 2019 (IRB design) & 2020 (JC design) - 1.1 million mintage). The lowest mintage commemorative 50c coin is Eddie Mabo (2017 - 1.4 million).
20c lowest mintage year is 1988 (0.2 million) for platypus design.
10c only has one commemorative design in circulation, being the 2016 50th Anniversary of Decimal currency design on the obverse side of the coin (6.2 million mintage) but the lowest mintage for circulating 10c is from 2011 (1.7 million mintage).
5c I find interesting because before the release of 50th Anniversary of Decimal Currency 5c coin was released in 2016 (mintage 4.8 million - only circulated commemorative design for 5c), collectors often searched for the (previously) lowest mintage 5c coin, being the 1972 design (mintage 8.3 million). The lowest mintage for 5c now is the 2019 (JC design) with a mintage of 2 million.
When it comes to error coins If you’re noodling, check every coin for any errors, but it’s fairly widely agreed (to my knowledge) that $1 coins are most commonly found errors.
For $2 coins, the main error is: - Misstamped coloured coins (more common with the coloured $2 coins released in newer years, often the colour of the coin will be incorrectly on the ‘heads’ side of the coin, leaving the ‘tails’ side colourless)
For $1 coins, the main errors you’re looking for are: - 2000 mule (double rim on MOR coin) - ‘Spew Roo’ (error in design on MOR coin coming from the ‘mouth’ of the kangaroo up the top of the coin, not the main kangaroo) - ‘Rabbit Ears’ (error in design on MOR coin similar to ‘spew roo’ but on the kangaroos ears) - ‘Three Leg Roo’ (error on MOR coin where a background kangaroo is missing a leg) - Centenary Federation Rotation Error (2001 Centenary Federation coin is rotated different from the obverse side to the reverse side)
For 50c coins the main one is: - Millennium ‘Incuse Flag’ (on 2000 Millennium 50c coin where the star on the flag is affected)
For 20c, the main one is: - ‘Wavy’ 1966 coin (the ‘2’ on ‘20’ is notably different, giving it a ‘wavy’ affect)
For 5c, the main one is: - 2007 ‘Double headed’ (a 5c coin with 2 ‘heads’ sides, made in 2007) arguably up there as one of the most valuable coins
For all coins: - Rotation errors (more common with some coins than others, but a possibility nevertheless) - Misstampted coins (where the printing of the coins design is not inline with the actual coin) - Double head (very very rare, but a possibility nevertheless)
There are really so many possibilities when it comes to errors, checking each coin thoroughly for any misprints, rotation errors, etc. is a good idea when noodling
At the end of the day, your coin is worth as much as someone is willing to pay. Coin prices fluctuate. Holding onto coins to sell when major events happen, such as a death in the monarch or if Australia decided to become Independent and break from the Monarchy, would cause an INSTANT increase in coin prices, that is guaranteed to fluctuate. Sometimes coins will take YEARS to increase in price, take the 2017 Planetary Set as an example.. RRP $180 and at its peak it was selling for as much as $14,000 a few years ago, now it’s on eBay for $6,000. When checking the value of your coins, eBay listings are NOT accurate ways to value them. Always check the sold listings for a more accurate value.

transcript help, 9depndts, shady practice, low return!!!
i work for a private practice as a botox nurse i get 2k+ taken every paycheck for taxes i claimed 0 dependents but on my 2022 and 2023 tax return my company said i claimed 9! i make 85hr and commission separately which i searched up is separate from payroll and i believe that is taxed also (pls review my last paycheck of 2023)
2022 tax return received : $1,700 federal , $400 state 2023 tax return : ??? fed , $400 state
i believe there is some shadiness going on i tried to talk to my employer about my low tax return and why he put 9 dependents and why my return was only 1,7 but he said go talk to gusto. the next day he said that everything is fine because i received more on my paycheck so it balances out.. but i believe that’s all bs bc i get a shit load taken out. i’m sure they pay less taxes too with whatever shadiness they’re doing. i left the practice after 2 years claiming 9 dependents.
i haven’t gotten anything in the mail yet and my state was only 400… there’s a minus sign in the withholding. i hope the irs reviewed my tax return and is back paying me for last year for overpaying.
pls help i’m a nurse and don’t know about any of this!! thnx guys
