In this episode, the crucial scene is in the beginning. In a Vegas casino, we see a husband and wife take an elevator, get out of the elevator, and be photographed by reporters. The wife then realizes she forgot some tickets, gets back in the elevator, gets her scarf caught between the doors, and dies on the way up.
At the end of the episode, it's revealed that the woman coming out of the elevator is not the one who went in. Rather, the wife was killed by the husband's mistress as the elevator went down, and it's the mistress (wearing the same dress, hairdo etc as the wife) who gets out of the elevator downstairs. Stottlemeyer is actually the one who figured this out because the mistress is wearing different earrings than the wife.
When this was revealed, I found it ridiculously unlikely: Forget the earrings, how is it that nobody notices that it's a completely different woman coming out of the elevator than the wife! They're even photographed! Then again, I, the viewer was watching that scene and I didn't notice it was a different woman either... I went back to the start of the episode and watched the scene again. It's perfectly filmed: in every shot, the mistress is facing toward the elevator, away from the camera (and away from the photographers). Clearly, the makers of the show took exceptional care to hide the switch.

Hey fellow golf enthusiasts! My buddies and I are gearing up for our annual golf trip, and this year we're making our way to Utah via Las Vegas. We've got a day to spare before the rest of the crew joins us, and we're itching to hit the links in the Vegas area without breaking the bank on resort courses.
We’re low handicaps after a solid golfing experience without the hefty price tag. Any recommendations for decent courses in the $100-$150 range would be greatly appreciated! Asking my fellow Reddit golf addicts to help us tee off in style before our Utah adventure kicks into full swing. Thanks in advance for any suggestions! 🏌️‍♂️🏜️
P.S. We’ll have a car and are not against driving a bit if needed. Also, we arrive in the morning so looking at afternoon times.

LVL 189 here, been playing off and on since B.E.T.A. - Am I the only one super disappointed with the AC content? I love exploring the new areas, but everything feels unfinished and empty. As a Fallout fan since New Vegas, I’ve always enjoyed solo Quest gameplay to Expeditions and Events, so I waited until there was some quest lines before diving into Atlantic City. I’m really dismayed at what I found:

• The new locations are gorgeous but feel lifeless and without character. No unique junk or recipes. So many orange canisters…
  
• The Overgrown are cool looking, but have no unique mechanics or character. Compared to the scorched or the mole miners there’s no unique since of community or hierarchy to them, no strategy or reason to their attacks. The terminals say they are dead bodies overtaken by plants, but they don’t act like Feral Ghouls…
  
• There’s no ecosystem or life - shouldn’t a swamp be full of bugs and frogs - even if they are overtaken by spores like the scorched or the Strangler bloom…its completely void of life except for overgrown and NPCs.
  
• The new factions similarly feel under developed. The casino and the boardwalk too feel lifeless and without character. Weirdly the Muni’s shuffling around city hall give it some sense of community.
  

I love F76, as someone who grew up in Appalachia - right across the river from Harper’s Ferry - there’s something unique that this game has in the franchise. But with all of us revisiting F4 since the Next Gen update, I hope they step up the new 76 content a little. I so excited for the Skyline update but AC has me nervous it’ll be more of the same.

Just beat dead money for the first time as part of my first new Vegas replay since I was a kid. The pitch/trailer always really hooked me as a kid but the whole setting terrified me too much to ever start it Now finally having experienced it, wow it lived up to the hype my younger self built up.
Thought the characters were really strong, fell in love with all of them. Kinda heart broken I can’t trace the Mojave with them.
Thematically I thought it was really strong all the way through. It really hit home and ended strong. Even though it spells out that you’re supposed to let go pretty clearly in a lot of spots the subtle ways it delivers the theme we’re great. Left it almost sad it was over
The setting was terrifying. Went in at like level 22, where I could pretty easily deal with most the stuff in the Mojave in a couple shots and was scared through most of the dlc, in a way a lot of games don’t really capture. I actively felt like I had an uphill battle with my limited resources all the way to the casino
Curious to see what other people think, I’ve heard pretty mixed things. But I loved it and was so sad to say goodbye to the location and characters. Especially given the text when you leave the gate and it tells you that you’re sure you’ll never come back

• I am using a TEW 2016 data converted to TEW 2020, it has a lot of issues mainly around personality attributes, everyone - even the most godly person seems to have a hard drug issue or cause issues. This really impacted the moral (0%) and therefore hurt my initial shows. I'm not a fan of playing around with data during a save but it was required to make it playable.
  
• Despite slashing the wage bill with $700k in terminations, and signing replacements on per show deals my basic wage has not changed dramatically, only about $100k.
  
• One unintended consequence of slashing the wage bill has been a massive reduction in Merchandise. I'm making $750k less than my first month. While my live event merchandise sales have increased, I'm $775k down on worker sales.
  
• As one of the few that did watch WCW in 2000, I am surprised you start as small (made even harder by being based South West). Also Hogan was still under contract with WCW until 2002 (just sitting at home), on this data he starts unemployed. Having said that, if he was on your wage bill the challenge would be even harder.
  

Hey all LV locals, first I ask you to give me a break that I moved here 2 weeks ago from California (I'm not your typical Californian, I promise lol)
I lived in the Oceanside/Carlsbad area of North San Diego county my entire life. I've been visiting Vegas at least once a year for nearly my entire life (mid 30's guy, single, retired)
Anyways, I was getting sick of all the traffic and cost of living in SD, so decided to finally take the leap and grab a rental house here. I'm currently living in a beautiful home, alone, right next to Lone Mountain in the northwestern part of Summerlin. I chose this area because I'm not a big fan of change, I really like quiet areas, and it appeared to be the most similar to Carlsbad/Oceanside. So far I absolutely love the neighborhood, very quiet, and I love the heat as I'm always cold. Also excellent restaurants everywhere in Summerlin, and Red Rock casino has become my regular hang out spot.
As for a few things I'm not a fan of. The biggest issue would be the wind. I'm wondering if that's due to my location being so close to the mountains, or if it's an issue throughout the entire Vegas Valley? I never remember it being this windy here, but I would also always stay on or near the strip. Secondly, I've noticed most people out here don't seem to be that friendly/laid back like the surfers I'm used to growing up around. Everyone seems to be in a hurry, and everyone seems to be quite hedonistic/very into their looks/etc.
So my main question is, when my rent is due in two weeks, I may want to relocate. I was looking at other neighborhoods and I'm leaning towards South Green Valley Ranch near Henderson. I can acquire a rental home there, just as nice as this home, but with a pool as well, for about $500 a month cheaper.
Wondering if it will be as windy down there, if there are as many good restaurants, a nice casino, and if the locals in that area have the same attitude as the folks up here in Summerlin?

I recently learned from the comment section from a post (From DaveLambert) that neither Christina or Jay are returning as the sous chefs for seasons 23 and 24.
I've also seen from the same comment that one of them is a returning sous chef and the other is a former contestant (That people apparently *hate* on this subreddit).
Personally, I think the returning sous is going to be Jocky because he still works closely with Gordon and works with him for his shows. That makes the most sense to me since the other sous chefs have seemingly moved on.
For the former contestant, it would make sense for Michelle to be the sous but I don't think many people here dislike her even if they question the legitimacy of her win in S17.
Since I think Jocky is returning, the other sous will need to be a woman (To keep with tradition) and the only female contestant that I think people absolutely hate on this subreddit is Elise...I honestly don't believe it will be her (Though it is a distinct possibility) but she's the only female contestant that I believe people absolutely hate on here (Apart from Jen who *definitely* will not be the sous in these seasons).
However, if the returning sous is Andi (since she hasn't been too active on Instagram lately which possibly could speak to her returning), I could honestly see it being someone like Russell. It would make the most sense if that were the case.
Any other thoughts/opinions?
EDIT: I’m changing who I think it will be for the returning sous to James Avery. He recently posted a pic of him and his family eating at the Foxwoods Casino and Resort (Where the new season will be filmed). Unless he’s there for a visit, it’ll probably be him. Could still be Jocky though if it is a visit (Which I doubt).

2296, The scene is set in a post apocalyptic Mojave desert, 15 years after a joint effort of the New California Republic, the Rangers, and the mysterious benefactor of the New Vegas Strip, Mr. House pushed back an attempted invasion of the Mojave and a final battle was waved for control of the hydroelectric powerhouse, Hoover Damm.
In the aftermath, Mr. House was removed from power discreetly, due to the actions of a wasteland wanderer on a mission for revenge, known only as the Courier. Mr. House's iconic Lucky 38 casino opened its doors, for the first time, offering a single floor casino and bar, it's upstairs remained an exclusive and mysterious meeting place for the New Vegas Strip's elite. The Lucky 38 represented one of the cleanest, most secure facilities, protected, like the rest of the strip, by the Securitron Mk 2, predominantly. Their presence ensured visitors on the Strip behaved themselves, though the other casinos maintained their own security and 'house rules' internally.
The Strip defined and maintained its status as an independent entity, determining through the Courier's observations that the NCR was stretching it's military might too thin, and couldn't realistically manage over the Strip and Mojave, so a new deal was struck, similar to the prior, but with The Strip extending it's Securitron security to enforce the immediately surrounding communities and a few outlying satelites. Trade to the surrounding areas increased, the Mojave benefitting from the prewar tech, pre-programmed security forces. The drug addicted fiends and other Raider groups would never be any match for their advanced weaponry, and ultimately were cleared out of existence.
The King's continued to watch over Freeside, making alliances with the Follower's of the Apocalypse... their desire to service the needs of the belittled, disadvantaged and destitute lined up, and this is where Mr. Wolf found his place in the story... the Courier and a Follower's doctor found love in the wasteland.... and raised a child together under a Ranger's flag... 23 years later? This is New Vegas...
A handsome man in a leather jacket sat in a dusty leather booth watching one of the girls dance on a pole, shaking her ass as bottle caps clinked on the stage in front of her. It was a swanky post apocalyptic casino strip club. A man in a leather jacket stood nearby, his hands crossed in front of his chest, "Kings" embroidered across the back in silver letters. A waitress approached him carrying a glass of some amber colored liquor, and sat it down at the half moon table. She lingered a moment in her lacey body suit, following his gaze up to the girl rubbing her tits in some older cowboys face.
"You don't get jealous seeing her like that, Mr. Wolf." The girl bit her lip and met his eyes as he picked up his glass and swirled it before giving it a smell and taking a slow swig. He tilted his head looking her over. She couldn't possibly be older then 19. Tight, perky little thing.

Jacob looked over and nodded, giving the lounge one last look around before approaching the bar and getting himself a mug of beer, from the tuxedo shirt and boytie bartender Gerald, and returning to the table.
"What's on your mind boss?" Jacob had his hair slicked back in the usual King's gang hairstyle.
"Heard any rumors lately?" Wold looked at him, taking a drag from his cigarette and flicking the pack over to him.
"Honestly, boss, aside from the occasional drunkard or fiend rolling through freeside, nothing out of the ordinary... well, except... a way's out.. the crazy lady... Gloria was swearing up and down she found a headless metal suit of armor.. said the Enclave would burn down New Vegas. God's wraith and all that, you know how she gets."
"Enclave?" Jason's attention was piqued.
"Yeah, I don't know, she was probably just in withdrawal from the Jet... said she found it in the hollowed out shell of the Super Duper, out by the old highway." Jacob shrugged and drank from his beer and pulled a cigarette from the pack.
Wolf finished the last drag of his own cigarette. "Has anyone validated her claims?"
"Well... no... but... I mean... you've met her, she sees things that aren't there, all the time." Jacob shrugged and lit a cigarette.
Jason squinted, considering the resident crazy ladies most recent half coherent ramblings.
"That's an oddly specific hallucination though....take a group of guys out there tonight... humor me, and make sure she's not right." Wolf lifted his glass.
"Sir?" Jacob raised an eyebrow, thinking surely this could wait until tomorrow.
"Hypothetically" Wolf pondered aloud, "If there was... for some reason, there in-fact was... a pre-war, piece of military tech out there....a T-45, let's say, or T-60, best case scenario? We want it. Even if it's not at 100% capacity? It's fusion core alone... could change up the game for Freeside, something like that could make our tiny little city independent. We wouldn't have to be reliant on the scraps of New Vegas, and forget about the Hoover Dam completely."
Jacob caught Mr. Wolf's drift.. a fusion core could mean producing its own, radiation-free water, it's own electricity.. not just a little, a lot. Powering long dead machines, not to mention the agricultural benefits... producing healthier, higher yield tobacco... expanding their income ten fold.
Jacob suddenly felt like he understood Mr. Wolf's vision for the future.
"I should... go and deploy the King's to investigate." Jacob concluded.
"I think that would be for the best, I can take care of myself here." Wolf waved Jacob off.
Jacob downed his beer and excused himself.
Wolf drank the rest of his whiskey, extinguishing his cigarette.
Laura, the dancer came up to the table, and Wolf motioned to the blushing new waitress for a round, who felt a twinge of jealousy seeing her crush with the most popular stage act in town. She bit her tongue though, bringing over two more heavy pours of whiskey.
Laura eyed the girl as she came and went.
"She likes you." Laura concluded as the waitress walked away.
"Yeah.. I think she does." Mr. Wolf shrugged, flicking her a cigarette.
"The NCR boy liked me." She giggled wiping a little bit of cum from her lips and used half her shot like mouthwash.
"Get anything out of him.. other then.. his seed?" Wolf sighed.
"Of course," She grinned mischievously, "Apparently there's been trouble out West with the Brotherhood. They had some type of skirmish? Apparently NCR lost? NCR was apparently holding some old world tech, I don't know, but apparently it lit up the west coast power grid, like... in it's entirely?" Laura tilted her head to look at him.
"The entire western power grid was lit up by a single piece of tech??" Wolf shook his head at the topless girl beside him.
"Yeah, I had to make him cum twice for more details, but apparently it's the size of a grain of rice, with quote, unlimited energy potential." Laura relayed the information. It seemed more important then a suit of power armor or its fusion core.

An energy source that powerful would have a big effect on the balance of power in the Mojave. It could mean a resurrection of the New California Republic to it's former glory and then some, and potentially... might mean a renewed effort to reclaim the western part of the former United States, in time.

So Duke is in a casino, in Vegas, but then the SHTF when humans, possessed by some kind of parasite, start wrecking shit up. The EDF, for whatever reason, targets Duke, and later its soldiers are revealed to also be possessed.
Ok, but what is that parasite? Where did it come from? It doesn't seem to be the Cycloids (they were brought back for a later build that eventually became the released game, and save for the odd pigcop and octabrain, this build doesn't seem to feature any of the enemies from 3D). Also, as the video showcases here, there seem to be more creatures of the same "family" as the parasite, or else they're just different stages of the creature's development... And what of the Terminator-like robots? Was Dr. Proton supposed to be the villain? Or a second villain, like in the release version? Doesn't feel like it, the terminators feel less advanced than the ones in the DWCM, yet more menacing. And what's with the barcodes that everyone in EDF has on their face?
I mean, the plot of LameDuke was different from what we got in Duke3D (and for good reason, the Escape from LA + The Fortress + Highlander 2 + some movie with a giant Earth-killing nuke was too contrived).
But what's the story in DNF 2001?
Edit: Just came across this page on the Cutting Room Floor website, apparently the parasite creatures are named Snatchers, and at least one variant is related to the Octabrain (at least in the game files). The terminator-like robots are called EDF-209, so they seem to be EDF equipment? Also, there is one (two?) enemy related to Dr. Proton, so maybe he does play a part in the plot?

It was very easy to get to the meeting spot on 51st and Broadway. We left at 9:04 am and made it earlier than our 11:30 am time despite the rain this past Sunday. I purchase tickets via my phone and computer. Very easy breezy
I loved that I was dropped off at Ceasars vs the bus terminal as I contemplated taking a NJ Transit bus.
The bus had Wi-Fi, free water, vents, a bathroom, reclining seats and outlets. I returned on the same day.
I opted to be picked up from Resorts Casino. Very easy to find the meeting spot. Traffic was a mess, but we made it 15 min after our scheduled time in Manhattan.
I don't go to Atlantic City often, but I highly recommend Ourbus to get you there

Took a break from futures trading and decided to humor myself on Crypto.com's Strike Options. Starting from $500, ending in $989
So been doing this for a week straight now, doing about 2 - 5 hr sessions for 7 days (depending if im going into a 2hr long position) and heres my thoughts on it.
Do NOT follow their charts, its not 100% accurate. -it seems like they have this odd second by second "line" chart on there and has a 5-10 second delay to other live charts like TradingView. (Where I base my decision making from for this venture)
Its almost like futures, but not. Again, theres this little white ball that affects your PnL on their chart and its this smooth line chart, which lowkey makes me nauseous to watch. Any way, its EXTEMELY sensitive to your positions. Cannot emphasize enough on that. Just a small incline can complete throw your PnL out the window and i can see where it'll cause lots and LOTS of fear for the feint of heart.
Their "max payout" are strictly predictions or like "Vegas flashing lights" do not expect to 2x, 3x, or 4x your position. Idk if this is like false advertising or what, but its a load of bologna. I range was about +$10 - +$45 PnL, im completely ITM, and my predictions were spot on, if not more. So in reality, its actually 1.2x to 1.7x profit. Never saw 2x.
Overall: It is okay and a little user friendly. I give props for attempting to dumb down this for someone who isnt familiar to this kind of trading.
At the same time it is not made for the weak hearted. With how hard your PnL fluctuates is quite insane. And the slightest movements, which i believe to be terrifying to someone who has no idea and ends up exiting too early or too late.
So I can understand for some, if not most, feels this is like a rigged casino by Crypto.com.
NFA by any means, not an expert trader also, i trade crypto futures as a side hustle Dont expect to make big money doing this. I hope Crypto.com expands on this and makes PROPER adjustments. Maybe even provide more realistic expectations.

We will be getting married in the little white wedding chapel and then are thinking about what to do after. We will definitely do dinner somewhere and then maybe head to one of the casinos, preferably somewhere we can also drink and dance.

Hi everyone! I’m (28F) from Chicago, and my boyfriend(M30) and I would love to plan a 5-day getaway sometime in mid-July. Preferably somewhere super warm!! We’ve visited California twice, Vegas, & New Orleans in the last two years. He wants to revisit San Diego, which, don’t get me wrong, is beautiful, but I’d like to visit someplace else with him. I want to go to Hawaii, but he dreads the idea of the long flight. My second option is Florida, but he’s not too sure he'll enjoy his time there (he's very closed-minded and likes to stick to what he knows; he's never been to Florida). I’ve visited Clearwater Beach, Miami, Orlando & New Smyrna Beach. He’d like to see Miami someday, so now we're both thinking of Miami, except neither of us is into the party scene anymore. We're both foodies, love wine, relaxing, love watching live entertainment, whether it's live music, magic, or dancers (not the explicit types, lol), and overall prefer a more "chill" vacation. Can I get that type of experience in Miami? If so, which hotel/resort do you recommend staying at? What kind of things would you recommend to do there? Otherwise, what other places would you recommend in Florida? (I've heard great things about Siesta Key but have never been.) Do you have other vacation spots in the US in mind? I really appreciate any help you can provide!

My wife and me will leave to the US from Europe for a West Coast Roadtrip and I have a 95% finalised itinerary but if there are any recommended activities that I am missing or if I packed too much in a day, please advise. Campgrounds and all of the activities which need reservations are already reserved. Specialty coffee places and food tips are very welcome, we are not picky at all but love to eat basically anything from Five Guys to gourmet restaurants.
Day 1 - Arrive at 17:30 in San Francisco airport and take our rental car, drive to Pacifica Taco Bell for dinner, shop in Walmart or any other chain for roadtrip groceries and sleep in the Inn at Moss Landing, heading down there on Highway 1
Day 2 - Whale watch with blue ocean whale watching at 9 a.m. Head down to Monterey after that for lunch, check out Carmel by the Sea and because of the road closure at Big Sur head down to our next accomodation in Cambria for the evening
Day 3 - Leave in the morning, check out Hearst Castle and elephant seal watch and San Simeone, coffee at Scout coffee in San Luis Obispo, fast food for lunch, check out Morro Bay and Montana de Oro or Pismo beach and drive to Los Angeles in the evening to the hotel.
Day 4 - Universal Studio in the morning, mainly Harry Potter world and after we are finished there, check out the sunset at Griffith Observatorium and walk to Vista or Los Feliz Cinema to watch a classic movie and if there is time go to a bar for cocktails in the proximity.
Day 5 - Check out Santa Monica Pier, go down to Sports Basement to pick up car camping rentals (inflatable bed, trekking poles, sleeping bag) and drive to Joshua Tree campground for a late afternoon, evening hike and sleep in the campground.
Day 6 - Wake up early and do another hike in the morning, after that drive to Las Vegas hotel. Check out the Strip and then put it all on red in the hotel casino? We have a room in a great hotel so this may be a more relaxing afternoon / day.
Day 7 - Leave LV in the morning and drive through or to Valley of Fire State Park for a little while and arrive in Zion National Park in the afternoon to do a very short hike (Watchman Trail).
Day 8 - Scout Lookout trip and The Narrows in Zion NP in the morning and use the shuttle back, either to the car or if we have time and energy to see the Emerald Pools. Leave late and arrive to our Page accomodation late in the evening
Day 9 - Head to the Horseshoe Bend very early to see the sunrise (it is really close from our airbnb). Booked Antalope Canyon tour for early afternoon. Drive to Grand Canyon Mather campground in the afternoon, if possible catch the sunset there and sleep in the campground.
Day 10 - Start in the morning, hike the South Kaibab trail to Cedar Ridge or Skeleton Point depending on the weather and our energy level. Long drive in the afternoon to Death Valley Furnace Creek campground and arrive there in the evening for sleep and stargazing.
Day 11 - This seems like a really exhausting day but will have a rest day after this. Wake up really early and drive to Sequoia National Park, have a shorter hike (Moro rock trail or eagle viewpoint) and maybe the General Sherman Tree. In the afternoon drive to a hotel in Oakhurst for the night.
Day 12 - Relax in the hotel, maybe check out Bass Lake in the vicinity? If we are not tired, which I think we will be then maybe hike in Yosemite that day, too.
Day 13 - Lower Pines campground reservation, all-day hike. Recommendation for hikes? Sleep in the campground.
Day 14 - Whole day Yosemite. Recommendation for all day hikes? Sleep in the campground.
Day 15 - Multiple options, do not know which would be the best or most viable option:

1. Hike again in Yosemite all day and drive to San Francisco hotel late in the afternoon
   
2. Maybe a short hike in Yosemite and drive to Lake Tahoe, Emerald bay for a short time and after that drive to San Francisco hotel for the night
   
3. Maybe a short hike in Yosemite and drive to Big Sur as the road closures will be lifted by then, check out Pfeiffer Falls for a short time and drive back to San Francisco hotel
   

Day 16 - Relaxing days ahead, chill sightseeing in SF, Golden Gate Park and mission district maybe fishermans wharf. Go to a bar for cocktails.
Day 17 - Alcatraz day tour, more sightseeing in SF, recommendations are welcome. Dinner in State Bird Provisions for our last full day.
Day 18 - Last day, check out of the hotel, drink some coffee and grab some fast food, maybe a very light walk in SF and head to the airport to leave at 4:25 pm.
