So I decided to get a Great Pyrenees. My local shelter is full of pitbulls and quite a few of their dogs are "star of the show only" homes desired and most never around or not good with cats. I started with a rescue. I found a breed-specific one that had Pyrs and not really mixes of pit with them either. I applied to the rescue and chose two dogs that may have potentially been a good fit. The first dog I chose was not, as he isn't good with cats. The second one the screener had to go back and check if the dog was good with cats... turns out she wasn't and has serious issues with resource guarding. On all of their listings, the dogs are always listed as good with cats, dogs, and children.
The screener then called me and said they had a new intake, who would be a good fit. After three days of asking for pictures, she never sent one but said the foster would. They never did. I felt like I was being jerked around. She did send notes but they were hard to read. She ghosted me about any further information about this phantom dog.
A red flag is that if you look at this rescue's website, they have had one adoption out of all of their available dogs in six months. The rest are still in long-term foster care.
My final decision was to go with a reputable breeder. I was given ALL information on the parents, all fees and everything about the puppies. The breeder has been keeping me updated on the puppy and her vetting, and she will be coming here on May 20th. The transporter is a former vet tech and really safe with puppies. I feel no regrets in making this decision, and don't care if anyone judges me who is a save them all nutbag.
I chose to share here because all I see out of these rescues is animal hoarding and deceptive advertising of dogs with behavioral problems. I also feel that sometimes rescues are extremely discriminatory in their questions, and don't want to actually adopt some of their animals out except for Shit Pit Snuggly who bit a handler at the shelter and yet "enjoys getting pets from his friends", "no cats or kids", "dog reactive or selective", "guards his bones with his life yet loves his toys" and other constant bullshit. I’m on a 5 day trial DTV Stream. Main box is APTV 4K. I also have a 2017 Shielid and a Fire Stick 4kMax. The shield is not 4K on that would be my main source. But my question is in the DVR for the Apple. Is there no way to pick up a recording where you left off? If I pause a recorded program and come back it always starts from the beginning Thing that happened on all my devices? If so, that should be a feature.

I’ve been dealing with trichotillomania on and off for over 20 years. I say on and off due to the fact I can go months to years without a binge session. But every now and then when I’m suffering from extreme stress or insomnia, I’ll just start again for about an hour.
These 20+ years got me analyzing why I do it or why I enjoy it. I’ve actually kept notes over the years just to try and understand myself better. I always wondered if others who do this have similar idiosyncrasies as I do.

- It’s always in one area. Always an inch above my right earlobe. I used to on more areas of my head, but not anymore. This particular spot is very sensitive to the pulling feeling; I guess it hurts in an addictive way(?).
- I will usually continue to pull out hairs until I pull out two-three strands with a hair sheathe on the root. I realize I do this for two reasons. One: I actually like the :pop: feeling I get when it comes out. Psychologically, it makes me feel like negative energy/tension is releasing from a tiny cork. Two: Hair sheathes always fascinated me as a child. I remember putting them under the microscope during science classes.
- I notice I get irritated when I pull out a snapped strand or one without a hair sheathe. Not sure why I feel this way but that’s what happens.

Hey all. I've been playing Helldivers 2 for about a month now and must say it's fantastic. I'm brand new to the sub and felt like sharing some thoughts so here goes! Feel free to agree or disagree with anything as I'd love to hear what anyone has to say.
Let's get the obvious hot topic out of the way first. The new Warbond! A little lack-luster to be sure but not worthless. I think the new booster is almost a must-have for high diffi bug missions and incendiary impacts are nice! Although I don't understand how they really leave room for the traditional incendiary grenades to have a place in any loadout.
As for the guns the Pummeler is the clear W here. The stunlocking feels fantastic especially when you have friendly divers playing around you. The other new primaries and secondary seem to lack an identity amongst already established choices so hopefully they get some work done to them. (This has actually made me wonder if Palestedt's earlier ask for delaying the warbond may have been a sneaky hope that we would give them some more time to work it out, but I don't know why he wouldn't just ask directly then given the circumstances.)
Lastly on the warbond, armors. And I wanted to talk about them last in order to segue into armor in general as a topic. Not much going on in the warbond. All armors have perk and value combos we already have access to. New looks are nice but what we really want are new traits or trait combos we aren't used to, which brings me to armor in general.
I can respect the idea that armor is less used as an impactful choice and more along the lines of a playstyle selection. I wouldn't say this is a problem and in fact might be exactly what Arrowhead is going for, however it seems like it would be cool to shake some of these perks up a bit. Servo-assist + Arc resist? Explosive resist + Extra stims? Recoil reduce + Reduced Detection? Ok that last one might be too good but you get the idea. The fact that we are already starting to pile armors that have the exact same function makes me wonder if we should just have 1 shown in our list with a pullout menu to select what style we want it in. Maybe something for the future to decrease clutter. Also on the topic of NEW perks why don't we have a fire resist armor yet? I'd almost consider it solely on the issue of I still get insta-melted by flame hulks fairly often. But aside from that it would be a pick that allows more aggression when running flamethrower and might even be worthwhile to run on planets with fire tornadoes.
So let's get to talking weapons a little. Obviously in a PVE setting, fun is paramount. Even if a gun is powerful, if it's a painful slog to use it, it isn't fun. A gun can also feel good, but be functionally useless, and this also isn't fun. Creating a diverse armory of weapons with different functions and making all of them useful and interesting in their own way is hard. You never want content that is so bad that nobody uses it. But creating weapons so powerful that you're sandbagging merely by picking anything else is a problem as well. One of the boons that Helldivers 2 has to it's name is how the factions differ from eachother and how they demand different loadouts. For example, I love where the new Blitzer is. It's a powerful choice for bug squashing, but will leave you wondering how you can possibly close distance against bots. I think this kind of balance is great and not every weapon need be effective in every scenario. But I also love the Sickle, and have no issue taking it to either bugs or bots. It's shortcomings become clear against large targets. With all of this in mind, it makes me more excited for the introduction of a new faction, and how many more options the devs will gain for weapon balances within differing scenarios. What loadouts will Illuminate demand? Will under-used loadouts finally see some use planetside? I'm not going to really talk about the eruptoquasar changes or how I feel about them since I'm sure everyone is exhausted with that. I was never an eruptor fan anyway being a gigachad autocannon enjoyer. My primary is usually a small target clearing tool. I will say on the topic of the Slugger, I really only think they slightly over-nerfed it. I took it out just the other day and was surprised at how useful it still really is which goes to show just how immensely powerful it was pre-nerf. Maybe pulling it up just a little will make it a good choice on the bot front again. Aside from the newer weapons I have to say I actually think Arrowhead has done fairly well here. I see lots of varying weapons on the battlefield as I see divers using all sorts of primaries and supports that they find fun and useful. Also a little side note on the Spear: I think if they manage to make the locking mechanism a bit less wonky, I think it has the potential to be one of the most powerful tertiary picks in the game.
I also wanted to spend a moment with the change to how patrols work. Even as someone who will solo dive from time to time, I actually don't mind it too much because what it means for full 4 person games. With this change, effectively the only things a Helldiver can do wrong, is die or team kill. You are making the mission easier simply by virtue of being on the battlefield. This means that as long as you aren't murdering your fellow divers, (traitors excluded) just staying alive is helpful. Seeing as every diver (not factoring in IRB booster) brings 5 reinforcements to the table, you really aren't dragging down your team at all until you've cost the team MORE than 5 reinforcements. I think this allows for maximum freedom of playstyle around your team and I feel outweighs the downsides of diving without a full squad.
Since I brought up a booster there, let's talk about them a little. They are, well, weird to me. I simply don't see a world where increased reinforcement budget and flexible reinforcement budget are anything but planning for failure, and if you are failing, maybe it's because you brought them. Full ammo (and notably stims) on drop, injury resist, less patrols and bonus stamina are all such good choices it's hard to part with them for anything. The new booster I think is an example of the kind of stuff we need to shake up what's brought on missions more and I hope to see more like it in the future.
Another thing I can think of I'd like to bring up for now is orders. While I think we should always be able to work on whatever front we choose to play on, maybe we should have something available to sweeten the deal a little when doing missions that fall under the major order? Not sure if an exp bonus or anything would do it or be on the table at all but it's a thought. Being someone who enjoys being a part of completing the major orders whenever they are active, this brings me to a minor complaint. If the major order is on the Automaton front, but my PERSONAL order is to get flamethrower kills... I'm not bringing that to fight bots sorry. Maybe this is something that won't or doesn't even need to be changed, but it does bother me a little to be pulled away from the team objective to hold a terminid barbecue on the other side of the galaxy. I suppose there's always just choosing not to do the personal order in a day too. As I said before, this is a very minor gripe.
Stratagems almost all seem good and useable in a variety of situations except I can't for the life of me understand why Eagle Cluster Bomb has more uses than Eagle Strafing Run. Seems like just a straight buff to Strafing Run to have 5 or even 6 uses (adjusted with ship module) per rearm would land it safely in the category of probably still never used unless I could find a way to consistantly kill more than 4-6 light enemies with it.

I, 14 female, go to therapy on a weekly basis. I go for anxiety, SH, and just someone to talk to. With me and my parents belive I have autism as I show many of the traits. (Overstimulation, spins, constant toe walking, etc) So when I went to therapy last week I told my therapist (not saying her name for privacy reasons) that I would like to be tested. She said, and I quote "You damm kids always think you have some mental illnesses, do you KNOW what autistic people have to go through!? I'm not testing you, you OBVIOUSLY don't have it. It would be a waste." Then, she didn't even let me address why I think I have it and how that was really offensive tbh. We are looking at new ones and I will have my last session on Thursday, my parents will be there for a little bit to tell her that it was uncalled for and we're switching.

I’ve posted here many times to varying degrees of success but I am here once again to try my luck in finding a partner. My expectations are low, but I would love to meet and get to know someone over the course of a few months online to see if we’re compatible or not. I’m not looking for something low effort or short term, but something that is genuine and meaningful.
With that being said I guess I should say some things about myself to get the ball rolling.
If I had to boil down my entire existence into just a few words, I would say that I’m a shy introvert who also happens to be really passionate nerd about the things I enjoy. I also think it’s accurate to say that I’m understanding, kind, sweet, sensitive, passionate, considerate, empathetic, and maybe even funny depending on your sense of humor. Basically, I’m just an awkward nerdy guy but honestly who isn’t online.
Despite being very awkward generally I happen to think that I’m an excellent conversationalist, whether it’s through texting, voice calls, or in person. I usually put in a lot of effort when talking to folks and I’m hoping for the same in return if you decide to message me.
While I wouldn’t say that it’s a strict requirement, I would strongly prefer talking to someone who has similar interests. It’s not an automatic dealbreaker but I just find it much easier to build a connection with someone online when there are some shared interests. Personally, I adore video games, anime, comic books, horror, Star Wars, collecting, baseball, history, pro-wrestling, cats and a wide variety of music, movies, and tv shows. If I had to pick just one I would say that gaming is my biggest passion.
As for what I’m doing with my life; I recently graduated from college with a double major in political science and communication studies. I also have an associates degree in history and plan on getting a master’s degree one day. However, as of right now I still have no idea what career I want and I’m currently in the process of looking for a job. My lifestyle isn’t too crazy but I don’t drink, smoke, or do drugs. I’m also not into the idea of partying or casual sex. Politically I am very left-leaning/progressive and I don’t follow any religions but I’d say my beliefs fall under agnostic or atheist.

With that being said I guess I should say some things about myself to get the ball rolling.
If I had to boil down my entire existence into just a few words, I would say that I’m a shy introvert who also happens to be really passionate nerd about the things I enjoy. I also think it’s accurate to say that I’m understanding, kind, sweet, sensitive, passionate, considerate, empathetic, and maybe even funny depending on your sense of humor. Basically, I’m just an awkward nerdy guy but honestly who isn’t online.
Despite being very awkward generally I happen to think that I’m an excellent conversationalist, whether it’s through texting, voice calls, or in person. I usually put in a lot of effort when talking to folks and I’m hoping for the same in return if you decide to message me.
While I wouldn’t say that it’s a strict requirement, I would strongly prefer talking to someone who has similar interests. It’s not an automatic dealbreaker but I just find it much easier to build a connection with someone online when there are some shared interests. Personally, I adore video games, anime, comic books, horror, Star Wars, collecting, baseball, history, pro-wrestling, cats and a wide variety of music, movies, and tv shows. If I had to pick just one I would say that gaming is my biggest passion.
As for what I’m doing with my life; I recently graduated from college with a double major in political science and communication studies. I also have an associates degree in history and plan on getting a master’s degree one day. Figured I would fire off some viable engines for folks lacking ideas on what to play.
GOOD ENGINES:
Kashtira/Scareclaw: The FenriUnicorn/Pressured Planet Wraithsoth combo is amazing by itself in almost any deck. But the rest of Kashtira wants viable Targets and REALLY shines when slotted into a deck with Scareclaw. Even with low card counts Scareclaw can let you make and crack boards with relative ease. And depending on how you tech it out it can have VERY high chances of the endboard ending on Ariseheart using other engines.
Danger!: The dangers can get you a crapload of free bodies in decks that want cards in the graveyard, it acts as glue for many other strats like Kashtira and Tearlaments.
Tearlaments: Not a fan personally. But you cant deny the deck doesnt get kneecapped that much due to most of it already being limit 1. Incredibly solid.
Bystials: Basically free parking in most decks this event. Super good to fill slots.
Zoodiac As A Sub Engine: All roads lead to Drident/Zeus. Its a bunch of 1 card starters into a free pop. Works super well in decks that don't really need a normal summon.
Okay Engines:
Branded: Limited 1 branded can work with some finagling. You can cobble together a 40 card branded list and have it work being a bit bricky. HOWEVER, they only have 1 ash for that Branded Fusion... So thats a thing.
Snake Eye as a Sub Engine: In any deck that can use it, Snake Eyes is a CRAP LOAD of free bodies for combos. That said, it loses a shit load of starters and actually becomes more bricky. But you still have what... 6 Starters for the engine even with everything limited to 1? Thats a lot of free bodies.
Dragon Link: Dragon Link has always been a pile deck anyways, Just pile in every extender you can and finagle a board together... Its just Dragonlink but weaker. But even weaker Heavenly Spheres can still just win games in this simplified environment.
Mediocre Engines:
Nible/Spright Subengine: Spright is already limited to shit. Toss it in any deck with some level 2 synergy and you are primed to go. I recently have started down my path to seeing the truth about the church. It started with a TikTok video I watched with a Bible verse that said there will be many false prophets and only those that speak everything that comes true is my word but obviously more Bible sounding. So I then started to look up all of the prophecies that Joseph Smith had said and I started realizing a bunch of them didn’t come true. I then found something that said something about when Joseph smith died there was no one chosen to take over and there was a fight between Brigham Young, Sidney Rigdon, and James Strang for position of the next prophet. That led me to find out about Sidney Rigdon starting his own church and then finding plates and creating his own book like that of the Book of Mormon but that he was called out for making them out of a tea kettle and hiding them under a tree. That then led me to look into Brigham Young and I found out that he had taught the Adam Theory and that Mormons actually abolished it later on which was even more of a push for me since I was looking into false prophecies and he taught something that even now the Mormons don’t acknowledge so if that’s so then it’s false prophecies. I want to know what else I’m missing out on knowing about. I obviously can’t talk to my very devout Mormon family and friends. I never went through the temple but I have heard they have done blood oaths. I’m just curious what else you all can tell me. I do still believe in God believe it or not. I don’t align with any religion though because I’m still trying to figure out what’s real and what’s not but I believe the Bible is predicting signs that are in the book of revelation. I’m still new to my research outside of Mormon religion and trying to find my own way. Just want to know what else I’m missing. I don’t really mind if you have a different opinion than me as I see religion more as a personal thing and not necessarily one is true over the other or one being the right one and others being wrong. Hello everyone!
I'm a 24 year old female with autism and a chronic pain disorder. After trying again and again I find that holding a job down either results in me no longer being able to take care if myself or fired, sometimes both. I find I am only able to hold down a job where I can only work 1 or 2 days a week. Mostly in customer service. However due to life circumstances I am no longer able to live like this and have to find a full time job.
However with both my chronic pain condition and autism I don't know what to do. I'm turthfully lost and feeling unlucky.
I would need a job that is limited in social interactions, that isn't too loud or has to much going on (such as to many scents or textures along with noises), the environment can't be fast pace, I would also perfer to avoid crowded spaces. Finally I would also need a job that is minimal standing and mostly sitting. I also have colored hair and tattoos, well places are getting better at hiring such people, I still think it's to be mentioned.
I understand that this takes out most job for me especially when I live in small city where both autism and disability are looked down on. It's been overall very discouraging to my mental. I wouldn't mind going back to school but with a GPA 0.6 I don't think many places will let me back in.
I do however possess some abilities that might be able to help. I am a creative individual, some saying I can make something from nothing. I've been cosplayer for up to ten years and have the skills that go along with that. I also am very successful in creative writing (I would love to publish a book one Day, but dreams are dreams). I work very well independently and in group being able to adapt in any situation well enough. The only time I wouldn't mind working with people if I was working with them one on one, because I find I pay attention to an individual needs pretty well.
Overall, I know my chances of finding something are already low. However I just don't know where else I can go with this.

Jingliu, bronya, pela/Silver wolf/ruin mei/robin, huo²/fu xuan.
With jingliu/bronya/ruin mei/huo² being the best and most comfortable team.
While jingliu/bronya/robin/e1s1 fu xuan is stronger short term but loses out on sp efficiency.
So i thought to myself. How about jade? Jade's skill gives jingliu 30 spd and 20% of jades atk as quantum dmg for 3 turns. Plus her skill goes on a cooldown for 3 turns and she cant use it meanwhile you can use basic attack to get sp back so we can assume she gets back +2 sp everytime. But takes 5% of the debt collectors hp as payment.
By how much jingliu can attack in one turn because of bronya doesnt that make jingliu the best character to replace both ruin mei and robin? Also we have to take jades own follow up attack into consideration too. By how much jingliu attacks i dont think jade will have any trouble stacking up her own charges.
We also can easily use atk boots with almost no need for any spd stats (expect we need at least 135 spd to go past bronya)
The only bad thing i can think of is the hp consumption jingliu will have. If jingliu attacks 5 times in 1 turn thats 25% hp gone. So maybe using huohuo might be better here. i think a fu xuan with her sig lc can just do well against it. But 5 move jingliu in 1 turn is rare and usually people only do 2-4 moves. Which is not alot and i think fu xuans sig lc can just handle it. What do you guys think? Is jade jinglius next best partner? Maybe not as good as ruin mei but i think atleast its comparable. When solving a mystery, one has to make some assumptions if one wishes to go beyond a surface level solve attempt of From's mystery. Which effectively means, one must pick an answer to a clue one is fairly certain of, and use that as one might use a jigsaw piece to solve the next clue that connects to it.
For any interested, I share my opinion on what the key strands of clue clusters and the twisted threads therein that I believe need to be woven together into a narrative to form an origin story for Fromland and solve the show.
1. The first strand is historical figures from North American history (and the end of the War of the Roses), falling roughly on the dates on Tabitha's dream sequence. Some historical figures are given far more clues than others, suggesting they might later become characters on the show. In particular Caroline Dye's hoodoo magic, and Alma Hayes the strongwoman.
There are six threads in there as not every timeline will be explored in the series - the main ones are 1930s, 1880s, 1860s, 1770s, 1670s, and 1498.
1498 is by far the most prevalent and perhaps the easiest to start with. Most are from England and to a lesser extent, Italy/Venice, Scotland, Germany, Portugal, Spain, France, Burgundy, China, Iran, Iceland, Greenland/Newfoundland. It's also the best one to solve first, as the historical figures in the 1498 origin story are the archetypes that the historical figures in the other timelines mimic.
For example, I'm absolutely certain one is Richard Amerike - Sheriff of Bristol. There is a lawman/sheriff in every timeline - Boyd is the sheriff now.
Each new historical figure discovered in any timeline is a great puzzle piece. If you find out Emmett Kelly, the Hobo Clown is in the 1930s timeline, you can search for other "clowns" and discover Triboulet, the court jester in the 1498 origin story.

Let's look at Kelly's head spiked to a tree with Boyd yanking it out instead of using the gun. The reasoning was: Kristi did not want Kelly to see or experience the gun, when Kelly is currently blind and the gun is a far better "experience" than the yanking. I contend this is quite a pointed clue that he's recreating a scene in the original timeline. In my opinion, a botched execution by a crossbow at a time where there were no guns to use.
There are threads within this strand. Two are practically strands of their own, with witch trial and torture methods and christmas / lent traditions from the countries of the various historical figures being the most prevalent. The traditions bit is a lot easier if you solve the origin story characters first, since you can then surmise which countries the traditions to look out for might come from.
3. The third strand is the mythology of the show. Ultimately, if one assumes North East Canada is where it all begins, you might make the leap it relates to the mythology related to that area. This has two main threads, the bogeyman, and the fairies. What I came to find were, there were clues pointing to practically every kind of bogeyman and fairy legend in that region. I was wondering if these were red herrings, or maybe it was all of them at once? It took me a long time to figure out what we're being asked to do here - but I figure there are 7 bogeymen and 4 fairy types the monsters and entity are mimicking, and a type of bogeyman and fairy that they really are.
4. Apotropaic magic - specific to the cunning folk of England. Witch's bottles and ladders, that sort of thing.
5. Medieval board and card games, as well as a few other adult medieval games, like stoolball. Main thread here is French tarot cards, but not their witchy meanings and connection to fortune telling, just the playing cards and what they look like. Other substantial threads involve Game of Goose and Pachisi.

Almost every introductory fermentation is anaerobic: it works without oxygen. All the usual pickles where you put some fruit or vegetable in salt or salt water, any beer or wine you add yeast to, any recipe that says to use an airlock or burp a closed container.
If a fermentation needs air the recipe will be very specific about that. Vinegar is a common one.
If it doesn't need oxygen, by opening the jar to take a picture of the kahm yeast on the surface, you are replacing the carbon dioxide in the jar with oxygen-filled air that will then be used by the kahm yeast to make more kahm yeast. Or mold. Basically anything bad that only grows on the surface of the fermentation is demonstrably aerobic.
Let it run. There is nothing you're going to do to the fermentation after three days, so don't make it worse by opening it to look at the surface.

So I have a girlfriend and we've been dating since February and for a few weeks I've been questioning how I really feel about her. Sometimes, I would feel like I wanted to break up but I still try to make myself love her, however, I always end up thinking ahout breaking up.
These past few days, It has gotten worse and I've been having more thoughts about breaking up. I don't think I'm really ready to be committed to someone and share my life with someone. I tend to enjoy doing my own stuff nowadays than talking to her.
A little bit of backstory... Last year, I had about 4 relationships over the span of 5 months.
August: The 1st lasted 4 days, I broke up cause I found out another girl liked me and I got attracted to her. (Lets call her Althea)
Aug - Sep: The 2nd lasted about a month and that was with Althea. It came to me that she was hopping on a relationship with another boy so we just broke up.
The very day Althea and I broke up, I started dating another girl again (Lets call her Rhea)
Sep - Oct: My relationship with Rhea lasted a month and that was one of the more serious relationships I've had.
I broke up with her because I lost feelings
Oct - January: I stayed single for a few weeks then I started having a relationship with a guy and that was the longest of them. We lasted 3 months.
He broke up because his parents didnt approve.
A little over 3 weeks later, I caught feelings for a girl
Now shes the one im dating.
Within our relationship, her friends have approved of me and they've had good thoughts about me and they always thought we would last.
I feel so bad and guilty because if I broke up with her, not only will she get heartbroken but all the people I've met in her life with probably dislike me too and it doesnt feel good. I know if I broke up with her, I'd disappoint others around me cause they'd find out I broke another person's heart.
Somehow I just find it difficult to value my own happiness over what others think. It doesnt feel good to have dated 4 people in such a short time.
I really want to stop this dating madness and focus on myself for the mean time. How do I bring it up to her that I want a break up?
