Me and you. Not two peas in a pod but more like 2 rabid animals in a cage. Every moment we found some time together, it would be filled with insulting jabs, belittling, almost insulting phrases to knock each others confidence. Why?...well we aren't really sure. It wasn't like anyone got hurt or we went too far, but the rivalry that came out of nowhere seemed to stem from some sort of unrequited attraction that we were too stubborn to admit.
A few years later, we've moved on with our lives and the old high school days seemed to be behind us. We matured, grew out of our spite and went about our mundane adult lives. I changed my name, moved across the country and essentially started a new life. I wasn't flowing with cash at the time so i found that the best way to save money whilst getting a new connection in the city was to put an ad online for a new roomate in the apartment i chose to stay at.
Unbeknownst to yourself, you were also looking for the same deal and so you hastily accepted the ad, not knowing that it was in fact your old high school rival that was to be your roomate. Will we still hold the same grudge like angsty teens or find more common ground through our grown up eyes?

I am a 21 year old male based in the GMT timezone and i am seeking to roleplay with a literate female writer about the above plot. I am a literate writer myself where i write multiple paragraphs and I'd say im pretty detailed with my writing.
Availability wise, i am mostly free throughout the day as im in between jobs at the moment. I don't mind what timezone you're in but it would be good to know so i can generally keep track of timings on your end.

I'm not sure I can even TRY to explain what's going on with me right now but I'll give a bit of context/backstory (idk)
So I have an online friend whom I've known for around 2-3 years who I've find myself caring about way too much recently. We used to play games together sometimes and we generally enjoyed each others company, even if I sometimes didn't hear from him for a week or two at a time due to his social anxiety. A few years ago, I developed a crush on him, and a little while later he even said he kinda loved me too, and we were kinda in a friends with benefits type of friendship. But then around October in 2022, I did something really shitty to him and hurt him badly, which lead to our first major fallout with him blocking me. The 2nd was me being too damn pessimistic (I was heavily depressed at the time) and he didn't wanna deal with that. Then the 3rd time was me being an asshole about a summer job he got at a hotel. So I'm on my final chance with him and I've improved my behaviour and how I generally am with him since then. I'd like to think I've made some good progress in being a better person compared to how I was in the past too. He said he was proud of me so that has to count for something...right?
Well, even though everything SEEMS like it's fine between us again nowadays, I can't help but panic whenever I make a joke or a jab at his occasional misspelling of words in text and he jokingly says "Fuck you" or whatever in response, because I immediately feel like I screwed up my last chance already. I've been thinking about having this conversation with him but I'm genuinely scared to do so because I don't want him to hate me or anything. Plus, it feels like the friendship is just.....hanging by a thread to me, despite how everything is seemingly fine in reality. This is gonna be a rant but I've put up with this game's shit for a while and I need to air it out.
This is pretty character dependent (especially for King, Drag, or Feng) but in 8 skill doesn't seem to be derived from mind games, movement, or poking. It's derived from hitting attack buttons more/better than your opponent. You're basically playing glorified rock, paper, scissors half the time. I've fought blues that just slam their head into their controller constantly. The game at the minute is nigh unplayable because of how infuriating it is online. Learning the game mechanics is generally a detriment, too much to think about compared to learning what moves you have that are safe or evasive and spamming the shit outta them.
Everything in 8 is a knowledge check or a 50/50. There's no universal options for dealing with pressure. Kbd requires your opponent respect it. As a DVJ main I basically HAVE to rely on b3 or u4. 1 jabs don't connect with half the moves and even if I manage to pull off a 1,1,2 and try to use keepout ewgfs, unless I'm at a health advantage I have to go in and mash back or I lose the round. I returned to Tekken after a hiatus last year and picked up DVJ. I learned kbd, ewgf and some good poking strats. Granted by that time most players in 7 were pretty cracked and I spent my time on player match getting the shit kicked outta me by high ranks but goddamn it, when I did get a game or two it was hype, because I beat someone that was clearly really good at the game with poking and movement.
Fast forward to 8 the one guy I know that climbed to blues quit because the mashing only got worse the higher he climbed. I match up with Bushin Alisas and Jins who I body because they got there spamming low, high mixups. I got a dude commenting on my Steam calling me bad for using samsara against his high low string spam. Half these guys would be stuck in T7 dan ranks. Of course there are good players there too but goddamn I wouldn't be surprised if like 80% of purples and blues lost their ranks if Bamco ever actually reduces mashing.
And keep in mind, in 8 blocking is punished. Sure I might be able to punish an unsafe move or two. But when a character is safe and string heavy, it requires me to memorise every single string to realistically know what is and isn't punishable. In 7 there was decent pushback so I could just block the strings until I knew I could punish, in 8 if I block for too long I have no health remaining, so my options are, press heat, 1 jab and hope my opponent doesn't have a high crush, Sabaki, or frame trap coming up, or risk a launch punishable panic move.
I thought at first the game had minor issues, I was adapting to the new DVJ and was trying to climb the rank pool, I also remembered adapting to playing T7 and getting frustrated with that. Then I tried out Feng and I realised just how awful 8's balancing was, just switch your brain off and spam. The thing is, he's one of the only characters with a fast, relatively safe counter hit move to get mashers to back off too. (Why get rid of magic 4s? Who knows?)
I'm not trying to say I'm this insane player that's being kept back by Bamco appealing to casuals. I'm not cracked and I actually like the idea of reducing some execution requirements. But making the game as to render most legacy skills relatively useless and reward players constantly mashing just makes everything hell to deal with.
TLDR: Fix the game Bamco.

Im going to explain the situation, but keep in mind its going to be relatively vague. This girl I had met was new. I took her in with my friends and I extended my kindness to her, going to lengths to make sure she was taken care of. And I mean lengths. She acted like we were best friends for months, when in reality, our interactions although frequent, were mostly negative. However online she spoke highly of me. She was basically the most depressing, negative, insecure person I’ve ever met. So insecure that it made her boring, I couldn’t stand it. I had to stop going to such lengths to help her when my schedule had become even busier. While I was busy, she made sure to do a lot of one on ones with my friends. Getting matching brackets and stuffed animals without me. She slowly started excluding me, singling me out, and taking slight jabs at me that I couldn’t bring it up because she could easily deny it (I know because I tried to address the issue maturely). She started to turn some of my friends against me by doing literally psychological warfare, while I’m left defenseless. She even started to do things that seemed like she was trying to be me. For example multiple times, I would say something, except I didn’t say it loud enough and not everyone could hear, so she would practically yell what I said and then people would laugh or react. Usually I would just walk away from situations like this, but I’ve had many experiences where people would just take advantage of my kindness. I need to manipulate her the way she does to me, and win my place back.

I'm 32 and currently still living with my parents. I work a 9 to 5 job daily and I also have a very sick partner who lives with us and I look after.
Anyway, the other day my partner was assisting my mother with some work and my partner needed to go and get a COVID jab. My partner has a weak immune system since needing a liver transplant year ago. My mother suggested that he shouldn't get the jab because if he fell ill he wouldn't be able to help her with her work. That annoyed me.
Finally we get to yesterday, it's 6:30 and every week I host an online stream where I and friends get together. Its the highlight of my week as I get to talk to my friends and its very good for my mental health as well as my friends (as they have told me). My mother comes to me 15 minutes into the stream and says that she's going out, her house keys are with the car keys taken by my dad who was out on a job that evening. So I'd need to go down to let her out. I paused and said "Okay, you'll need to come up here and get me as I'll have my headphones on and I may not hear you." (I will also clarify I am half deaf, can only hear in my right ear).
My mother then makes a passive aggressive statement in an annoyed tone saying "Well I'll just take your keys that are in the door, since you and Partner have another key between you." It would have been simple to just let her take it. However, I at this point have had enough of her behaviour.
I grab my partner, go downstairs and tell her bluntly. "I didn't appreciate your tone up there." Which she then turns against me claiming my tone was off, consider I was live at the time, my friends have confirmed my tone was nothing but calm and factual when explaining she'd have to come and get me. She then goes on a rant about how she doesn't ask much of me, and that she is my mother. I interrupt, finally sick of her bullshit with the exact quote "Well you don't act like my mother, in fact you act like a fucking child."
Things naturally escalated from there, and I do admit I was wrong for saying what I did HOW I did. I was angry and it was in an angry tone. Although I 100% stand by what I said. She commanded me out of the room, I left for about 5 seconds and then came back to try and be an adult and sort this out.
Several times during the discussion she attempted to gaslight me by saying "We (my parents) do all sorts for you, but we ask you to do one thing and you won't" to which I and my partner point out that I never said I wouldn't do it, just that she'd have to come get me. She then changes tactics saying that she can't leave the people who are coming to collect her waiting while she comes upstairs, especially given how long it takes her to get upstairs (she isn't as mobile as she used to be). While fair, she could have mentioned that to me earlier and I could have come up with another solution. She then goes on to mention how I keep to myself and just sit upstairs with my friends all the time which I do....just like she sits on the fucking couch all day/evening and watches TV. Am I not allowed to live my life how I desire to live it, like she does?
Ultimately in the end I apologised for both situations even though I feel the apology for advising her she'd have to come get me was completely unreasonable and undeserved and I still have not received an apology back.
I am sick and tired of her not learning and her always having being right and what my partner and I hate is that there is the sword of Damocles always hanging over our head that on a whim she could just toss us out. She has told me multiple times that he and I will always have a home here and they are even going to put the home in the will so it goes to me and that I will always have a home, but I can't trust this and I don't trust it because words are cheap and with just the drop of a hat or on a whim we can be told to leave. I had that 10 years ago when I objected to something my mother wanted me to do and she....you know what. She blackmailed me emotionally. She told me there and then "Well, in the past when your sister has come home she's slept in the lounge but maybe we need to examine Partner paying for a hotel room when she does so your sister can sleep in her room again." She knew what she was doing and since that fucking day I have never been able to trust a word that comes out of her snake of a mouth.
I have tried to move out but, my partner and I can't do it on just my income and he is too ill to work. I am fed up with my mothers selfish behaviour and what's worse is I feel she's causing me to question my own reality and if I am in the wrong here.
EDIT: It is worth mentioning my mother was also going on about how 'her evening was ruined' and how every time she makes plans to go out they somehow get ruined. She then went out and had a good time, I know this because she was very pleasant when she got back and was very chatty about het night. My show; I had to cancel it...so while she was saying her evening would be ruined...my night was actually ruined. Still not got an apology for that either.

I am by no means the arbiter of Tekken but as I have played 2176 battles ive noticed a lot of people are getting jabbed out of there "mixups"
So short an sweet guide on how you can construct your mixups in the lab.
99% of moves are 10 frames fast so we will be using that as the base target speed to beat.
I used to main Heihachi and now I play Reina so I will use what I know best to construct my examples. My example below come directly from how I used to play Heihachi.
A true mixup situation is when either player has put the other into a state of disadvantage so severe they have no option but to block and guess, This is accomplished by using your positive frames or +frames to know which moves you have that will be safe to use without fear of interruption.
If your opponent can step your options or back dash away then even if you are at plus frames its not a coin flip its a rock paper scissors contest. Ideally for easy of application you seek to remove movement as an option an try to make them guess mid, low, plus frame reset situation or different mixup. Once stepping is involved you have to find moves that counter that to or your mixup will always have a glaring weakness that prevents its use in high level play.
When constructing your mix up you want to generally start checking its frames by having the opponent first jab ASAP after your mixup is applied and going through each option and noting which moves you can apply without getting jab interupted.
Its also a good idea to do the same things with the down jab or "dick jab" This high crushing fast special mid is the bane of many players mixups online. You definitely want to check to make sure they get countered when using it or what your options are to deal with someone shutting down your pressure with it.
You also need to account for movement options, most characters have powerful mid or low mixups and stances that crumble with movement.
As a base line most people agree 4 frames of a gap is enough to use movement to possibly avoid pressure. Some characters are better at movement than others so this requires so trial and error in real play against varied opponents to really hammer out, or a few hours in the lab with smallest girl characters and then special annoying ones like Ling who can use a stance to enhance a stepping animation.
I will now go through step by step how I created a simple mixup an checked if it was frame solid in most matchups. Once you understand all the little details of how to check the frames and what to check them against it will be easy to do.
Reina has a powerful 18-19 frame startup mid, f4 while slow leaves the defender in crouch at -2 disadvantage.
The fastest option from crouch is the crouch jab at 10 frames fast and special mid. Special mid means that if I duck I still block the mid. its not that important.
What is important is understanding that they will not return to standing during the attack and if they were standing they will crouch under most of your high options even if your high is faster than 10 frames when you are at advantage pressing your mixup. Not in every scenario but enough that you need to check it out yourself.
so my best option to beat a special mid when my move will at least trade with it is a strong mid.
Reina just so happens to have a 12frame wallsplatting mid in 1+2 that hit quite hard compared to a crouching jab.
12 - 10 = 2 the exact amount of frames the defender will be delayed by if they choose to push buttons instead of blocking.
If we both input our moves as fast as we possibly can they will both trade an it results in a favorable trade for the attacker.
To consider an option part of your mixup its need to at least trade in your favor with their fastest option.
1+2 is what I use to start every new match when I force them to block f4. Based on what happens here I determine how to mix them up later.
So we have a move that we know is fast enough to stop aggression but what about back dashing and side stepping.
In practice mode and against a few highly skilled players I discovered that side stepping either direction but generally my left resulted in an easy launch for the opponent.
To counter movement I would need plus frames of around 5.
I can jab since its faster if I suspect they will move, that would be a 4 frames of advantage just 1 shy of the 5 for most matchups. but most can still step a jab in that situation and a crouching jab shuts it down and leaves you -8 ish if you get hit by it. Forcing you to guess low or mid. Not ideal.
so instead I would rely on either a grab that is 12 frames to track the step and or I would step with them and either jab or f4.
The reason a grab is fine is it tracks to both side right now, if this changes my mixup has to change to.
I can also step and f4 as fast as possible, this exploits the weakness of a jab which is how easy you can step it. If they did crouch jab they are crouching and f4 has follow-up's which it lands on Croucher's.
Dont be afraid to consider moving yourself to avoid linear attacks and punish the opponent from trying to mash out.
However im moving before I attack and I am also open to counter hit moves using such a slow move after movement.
So in no way is this a true mixup, an example would be whenever you land a heat engager. Most heat engagers leave you point blank range at +17 frames. You can write a thesis with that amount of frames, most people know by trial and error that there is no hope of interrupting even some of your slowest moves.
A clear example that everyone has to know now is Eddie, Eddy has easy to land plus frame moves and punishes that leave him at major advantage in stance.
His low option is to fast to interrupt and tracks both sides.
His mid option is to fast to interrupt and launches.
Low can be blocked and launched.
Mid is -13.
other options are string with highs in them so I dont include such risky moves in a mixup.
Stepping isnt really an option because most of the time you are guessing at -6 frames, and the low option tracks both sides.
However this is a weak mixup and risky compared to the first example. because every time you guess right you get to hurt eddie and apply pressure yourself.
Many examples of different mixups and the characters vary in how strong they are, I firmly believe that for those dedicated enough you can find unique mixups no one uses online because no one has labbed all the crazy options in the move list.
In closing, I tried to make it as clear and easy to follow my logic as possible, let me know if anything needs more detail or clarification. I might also try and make a youtube video I will link later with live examples.
TLDR: constructing a mixup requires you to identify situations where you can use your fastest moves to force defensive behavior or damaging them for pressing buttons. You have to make sure you get into situations where crouching jabs at the minimum cant interrupt your options. Anything slower than that can be applied in the mixup is but shouldn't be your main option to check your opponent.
Extra tip: you can apply mixups anytime you land moves as long as you know how many plus frames you get on hit.
Take the plus frames on hit and minus them from the startup frames of your moves to see if you can get sub 10 frames.
Df1,1 is +7-8 on hit, I can use f4 but jabs beat it out in this situation, so after landing df1,1 I know I can enforce pressure and defense by doing a move like d2, which is 15 frames and wont be interrupted and has reward for counter hitting.

This is my personal experience with the San Diego based dog rescue, MIRACLE FOUNDATION SD. Everything is strictly fact and there is documentation to back it up. If you are or have had an experience with this group, please read on, and BEWARE!
Late 2023- My daughter sees a post on Facebook about 20 Doodles in Maricopa County, Arizona, that are about to head to a high kill shelter. These are not typical social media star golden doodles. These are feral, fearful, not used to human touch doodles. My daughter reaches out to the rescue and immediately volunteers the 3 of us- daughter, sister and myself are up for the challenge. My sister and I agree to temporarily foster 1 dog each. We both have senior female dogs, and it would be stressful on them. It’s happening! 8 dogs will be transported from Arizona to San Diego.
December 29-31, 2023- Fundraising begins! I made a paypal donation to the doodle rescue mission. I promote it and my family and friends donate. Some write checks and mail to the PO Box. I promise the fundraiser. We are off to pick up supplies in Orange County, Calif. donated by Spoof Dogs. Stephani, the rescue organizer gave my daughter a list of supplies we would need for the 8 dogs. 8 of everything: 8 water bowls, 8 leashes, 8 food bowls, collars, bags of food. We piled the truck to the rim and headed the 100+ miles back home with the goods.
January 1, 2024 - May The dogs arrive. The horror! A man pulls up in a suburban type truck and unloads a handful of dog crates. Many are small and have 2 dogs shoved in them. They are all covered in urine and feces. I have never seen a stiff dog before. Stephani requests everyone takes 2 so they will adjust better. Ok, but remember, this is temporary? We are reassured as we each take 2.
I started with fostering Bruno and Butters. Butters was more social than the rest of the dogs. He had a haircut, so he was obviously handled. Bruno was completely feral. Not 1 person could touch him. I had a special place in my heart for Bruno, as he was the first one handed to me out of the truck, stiff with fear. I wanted so badly to help this boy.
Butters was adorable and we loved him, but he had an issue that I continued to report to Stephani about constant urinating. I am not talking not housebroken, I am speaking about this poor guy emptying his urine 4x per hour. A full bladder of clear liquid, 4x/hour. She basically kept pacifying me until finally I requested to swap him out with a dog my sister was fostering, because I was literally mopping all day. So, here comes Murphy!
Meanwhile, the dogs are sick! They all have severe water diahrrea. I notice Bruno’s ears smell awful. I ask if I can use some ear drops I have here for my dog. Approved. Multiple failed attempts by Stephani to control the diarrhea. She kept bringing over pills and powders that were not in their original packages. Some old prescription bottles with labels tore off. I trust her. She wants to help dogs.
It is then discovered that all of the dogs in the group not only have diarrhea, but also have ear mites, and it has been passed to my senior dog. Lovely. She does provide us with the ear mite medication, Bravecto?
Time goes on, sometimes weeks would pass without as much a a check in from her. On the occasions she dropped off supplies or probiotics for the digestive issues, we would talk. She mentioned how the rescue was $30k in debt from a litter of Parvo puppies that they took in. Red flag #1? Nah! I ask for poop bags. At this point, I am going through them like crazy. She brings me a wadded up handful from her truck. Never got any again. Communication is and has been off with Stephani. Sometimes she’s nice. Oftentimes she throws jabs. Interestingly coming from someone who should be so grateful to us. We don’t want to rock the boat, so we keep quiet and really just focus on the dogs. We ignore some of the stories that don’t match up. Luckily everything was text message.
A few of the dogs from this group get adopted and then returned. And then adopted and returned. No one seems to click with them. Bruno is allowing me to touch him. We play. Murphy gets adopted by a cute family with 2 very small children. It’s just me and bruno now and I get the chance to really focus on him. I am still fighting diarrhea with him. I tell Stephani I am taking him to the vet. Vet prescribes medication, if it doesn’t work, he will need to be on a special prescription diet. He needs the diet. Purina HA is approx $130 for a 25 lb bag. He eats 1bag/month.
All during this time, my daughter and her fiancé are growing attached to Shiloh, who they are now left fostering. They let Stephani know right away they want to proceed. They ask to apply and ask what his adoption fee is. They are informed that the rescue would have denied them if they had applied, but they would definitely be considered for Shiloh.
Bruno starts marking everywhere. I ask about getting them neutered. Was informed their vet recommend they wait so their testosterone come in. She offers belly bands. Belly bands for a dog I can barely handle. Oh yeah, she had told us she was a Dog Behaviorist. In 5 months, never once- not one time did she come to work with Bruno. Belly Bands did not work. She finally got them to me a week after I asked and I asked yet again. Then she gave me used ones.
May 7, 2024- Finally after 5 plus months and now many of the other dogs have been adopted (we hope to forever homes), she approaches my daughter and her fiancé to adopt Shiloh. He had a recent foxtail incident in his paw, and the rescue did take him and pay for removal. However, now he is costing them, so they are asking a $1000 adoption fee. She also states that they are no longer of use to the organization since she will no longer be fostering, so she is of no use tot he rescue anymore and they ‘need the money”. This would absolutely be a reasonable ask for a rescue dog adoption- that had shots, been neutered, been microchipped, wasn’t feral, wasn’t ever going to be a “normal” dog. Kind of how she stated when this all started. My daughter asked if they would consider $650, considering all she/we have done for the rescue/the dogs. It was shot down. No compromise. Stephani mentioned how much money they had spent on these dogs.
That’s when I got to thinking… how much did they spend on these dogs? Where is the money? I have been digging and cannot come up with anything. If anyone knows anything, has a similar story, join the group! I am still truing to get access to their financials. What I found online is they have not filed last year and were revoked. I will post proof to all of this, as well as an article of a former incident a few years ago. I questioned them, they refused to provide, I lost my shit and hung up after telling them to come and get Bruno. I was done. I could tell where this was going. They were in a sense holding us hostage to pay $1000 for Shiloh, when the other dogs were sold for less. Felt as if it were extortion. I sent Stephani a text trying to see if we could come to an agreement. She said she was bringing a board menber named Desiree on the line. Great! I am hoping I can get some answers. Desiree will not let me speak. I have valid questions. They tell me they STILL have not gotten the fundraiser money. Huh? then they change the subject, cut me off and talk about needing to get them adopted and neutered immediately because now they are. costing the rescue money. Meanwhile, we know the only female from the rescue had just had tumors removed. I yelled to come get Bruno and hung up. I had had it! This felt awful. I was used. They were assholes for taking advantage of caring, vulnerable people.
Stephani shows up to my daughters house, unannounced, asking to take Shiloh, as they were taking both to get neutered and would be ready for pick up at 7pm form the vet. I knew. My heart sunk. Shiloh would never return. She then shows ups at my house, an hour after I asked her to be there and my emotions are hot. Desiree is on her cell. I yell over the phone to Desiree to please call me. I fell money is being misused. I scram out my phone number in hopes she will call. She does not call.
Shiloh is listed on Petfinder now as Pedro. We gave a petition to get him back.
In the end, our intention was to save these dogs. They came from a horrible situation. Shame on this “rescue”. Never again!
