2024.05.14 23:49 ReadingFamiliar3564 Help with a geometry question

When studying for a math test I have on Thursday (11th grade, practice test for questionnaire 035581), I came across this question and I have no idea how to do C (Translated from Hebrew, the question is in the link):
"A circle centered at point M is tangent to the rectangle ABCD at point K. AB and BL are chords in circle M. Point M is on BL.
A. Prove that angle KML is twice as big as angle KBC.
B. Which of the following statements is true and which is false? Explain.
  1. KM is the middle segment in trapezoid DLBC.
  2. The area of triangle LMK is equivalent to the area of triangle MKB
  3. triangle LAB is similar to triangle BCK
C. Given: BK=a, KL=b. Express the area of BCKM using a and b.
D. Express the ratio of the area of BKL to the area of DKL using a and b."
In B, the true ones are 1 and 2, 3 is incorrect. I expressed the area of MKB as ab/4 using what I proved on B2, SBKL=ab/2, and it's twice as big as MKB. I thought about doing it through SMKB+SBCK, but I couldn't express the area of BCK, I managed to prove that SMKB/SBCK is MK/BC, but I couldn't find MK/BC. Next, I proved BKC~BLK, the ratio between the edges got me nowhere. I also used the Pythagoras theorem for triangle BKL, LB2=a2+b2, I couldn't do anything with that. Help?

2024.05.14 22:12 SeeCrew106 [Debunk] "Big pharma can't be trusted" and "What about those huge profits?"

Did they profit billions? Yes, especially because so many vaccine doses were produced in so little time. They also profited billions off of stuff Joe Rogan used:
Joe's "anti-big pharma" cocktail:
Medicine Big Pharmatm Producer
Ivermectin Merck
Azithromycin Pfizer
Prednisone Jubilant Cadista
Monoclonal Antibodies Roche
Joe took monoclonal antibodies. Like the vaccine, these were released under EUA. Guess what?[1]
The invasion of mAbs in new medical sectors will increase the market magnitude as it is expected to generate revenue of about 300 billion $ by 2025. In the current mini-review, the applications of monoclonal antibodies in immune-diagnosis and immunotherapy will be demonstrated, particularly for COVID-19 infection and will focus mainly on monoclonal antibodies in the market.
300 billion dollars. The expected profits are enormous.
What about the price of Ivermectin?[2]
The cost for ivermectin oral tablet 3 mg is around $94 for a supply of 20 tablets, depending on the pharmacy you visit. Quoted prices are for cash-paying customers and are not valid with insurance plans. This price guide is based on using the Drugs.com discount card which is accepted at most U.S. pharmacies.
And:[3]
Nowadays, ivermectin by its own has produced sales greater than US$1 billion/annum during the past two decades
A billion per year. During the past two decades. That's 20 billion dollars. Vaccine sales have obviously plummeted in the mean time now that demand has plummeted as well. As was always expected. The profit profile is different because you're selling incredibly large quantities in a short period of time rather than smeared out over decades.

2024.05.14 22:08 TailungFu [A COMPREHENSIVE TINNITUS AND POOR POSTURE TREATMENT PLAN] help for those with tinnitus caused by TMJ/poor posture.

i have:
Background: sit a lot on pc, didn't exercise much for years. Speculate tinnitus has been caused by poor posture or TMJ.
I've had tinnitus and some of above issues for 4 years, and i think below is the only thing thats been helping lately although might be too soon to say, however gonna share anyway coz so far it has 100% helped me with jaw clicking that i had for many years, a long with back of head clicking noises and is helping with my posture.
note -
When it comes to tinnitus i believe it has helped, however unsure if it will continue helping it or if its just a placebo effect; same for hearing sensitivity.

TINNITUS AND POOR POSTURE TREATMENT

----- working out twice a week or every other day.
----- taking breaks from computer
Taking breaks every 60 mins from computer, to do following stretches OR stand up!:
https://www.artofmanliness.com/health-fitness/fitness/undo-the-damage-of-sitting/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9OQMBPrFgI&list=LL&index=2&ab_channel=JeremyEthier
so every 60 mins, u either stand up for an hour, or do the stretches (some of them, or all), i personally stand up every hour and sometimes when going to sit back down i do a stretch. Do what you prefer best and suits you.
Note- when standing take note of your posture, such as your feet pointing outwards when standing, this is a sign of duck feet and correct the feet to be straight and aligned.
----- jaw stretch
throughout the day i simply open my mouth as wide as possible, like use all your face and mouth to open, and simply rotate my head around (look left, right, up and down), but dont over do the rotating head part whilst u have mouth open, just look around a bit, left right, up, etc.
Note - i dont have any jaw pain, my tmj could just be muscular and may differ from your tmj, so whether this may be of help to u idk. I noticed that sitting posture influences the back of head cracking noises and jaw clicking.
Also sometimes i may also do jaw stretch like moving jaw left, right and forward and backward. But not often.
----- results after 1-2 days.
ive only done this for 1-2 days so very early to say, but i tell you what, it has done the following:
Pros:
Cons:
----- results after 5 or so days.
pros:
cons:
notes -- things may continue to improve if i remain consistent with the routine, i will update later if i am able to stay motivated with my workouts lol
sharing this anyway coz it probably will help someone out here struggling with finding something to help their tinnitus, tmj and poor posture.
----- notes for sitting on pc
----- notes for sleeping

2024.05.14 21:53 softsuppleandweak It's taken a while - and many stages - to realize how I've gotten to where I am now..

  1. Around 8 years old, I dressed up in a ballet outfit with my sister and her next-door neighbour girlfriend. Pictures included (thanks, mom).
  2. Around 10 years old, I prayed every single night for God (sad tears included) to make me a woman. I was developing "breasts," even though the rest of my body was slim. I started to see myself as "different " than the rest of my friends. I grew up in a predominantly female-led household and saw the world through a sensitive, soft lense. I was becoming the caregiver, maternal role in my friendship circle.
  3. Around the age of 12, I used to play "bum doctor" with best friend (involved pulling down pants and bending over, while the other pretended to give a needle). I found myself initiating this game a good deal more than him. At this age, there was still a young naivete to this, and I wasn't aware it was "strange."
  4. Around age 14, "on a dare," I dressed up with (a different) best friends mother's clothing. His mother was away at work, we hand-picked items, right down to the underwear, and got changed together in the bathroom. I changed behind the shower curtain as I was too shy and very embarrassed how my breasts completely filled out the (lactating) bra.
  5. Around this time, I started to experiment with dressing up in my mother's nighties, as well as both of my sisters clothes. There were little pockets of free time to do this, and everything just felt "right"; like all the dots connected.
  6. Around age 16, I started getting into porn. I was a late developer, as far as sex drive goes. Started off as regular guy/girl porn, then I quickly became interested in the "anal" category. I found myself very turned on by the cock scenes, but not the rest of the male body. I was attracted to the female body, but in a way that I wanted to "be" the female. The idea of making love to a man put my stomach into knots.
  7. This "kink" grew and grew, unbeknownst to my family and friends. I was a very late developer, and all my friends had girlfriend's around this time.
  8. I discovered my sisters had toys, and became rather infatuated with them (insert shameful secrets). The idea of being in a submissive role, the idea of a "male" becoming the one who receives - rather than gives, ignited a very deep switch in my brain. It just felt right, natural.
  9. I started to become brave enough to buy porn DVD's from the local convenience store - but was very embarrassed, as the same owner basically watched me grow up from a kid to this point. I started to buy exclusively DVD's that featured anal. Finally, it took everything in me to one day buy a trans DVD, and I made a pathetically awkward excuse to the owner of how I was buying it as a joke birthday present for my friend. Oh, the shame.
  10. I started watching the DVD's, imagining myself as the trans women, and essentially worshipping cock, worshipping men. I had little "sexual" desire at this point to be a male role with any future girlfriends. Still, the idea of men's abs, lips, thighs, arms, butt, etc still turned my stomach into knots. Although, in the very very back of my mind, I think I was starting to consider it.
  11. I discovered Marijuana and beer around the age of 18, and would cut loose at my friends house (the same friend that I tried his mother's clothes on). He would occasionally put on porn (on mute) later into the evening, and meanwhile we were listening to music / playing guitar, etc. I started to sexually become interested in him. It was slways kind of there, but now with the porn playing, and being able to feel those feelings at the same time, I became sort of turned on by him. More so the idea of getting high and then becoming his submissive plaything. There were moments where iI could tell he was imagining the same, but - spoler alert - I never did (as i was way too shy to pursue it) but that only made the infatuation to be a submissive plaything for men even stronger.
  12. I started talking to a girl online, and after almost four years of talking and developing a friendship, we decided to meet. I was 23 years old at this point. Fast forward, I became her boyfriend and when we were camping, she had just started showing signs of spotting (on her period), so we were just playing around - I was very nervous, especially because i was expected to be the dominant one. Next thing I knew, I had lost my virginity to her. But here's the kicker - it was from anal.
  13. Curiosity got the best of me, and I started to seek out the validation and attention from men online. I accidentally left my browser open one night, and she saw everything. There was a big blow up, and she was calling me gay. We were both living at my parents' house at the time, and I'm pretty sure they must have overheard it. We made amends, and I confessed to her that I think I was bi and just needed to understand better. We played around with a strap-on quite often, and I also discovered chastity. Chastity became something of an excuse to not have to be the dominant one. I honestly felt more natural being the one receiving anal vs. penetrating a woman. We ended up mutually breaking up when I was 28. We are still best friends to this day.
  14. I started to think of the man's body, beyond just his penis. I don't know if it was just due to exposure in films, but the right kind of stomach (slightly hairy, soft, but strong "dad" abs) as well as strong hands and forearms started to turn me on. When I would see older men in real life with any of these attributes, a switch went off in my head and I realized that I was turned on by them, and would start to imagine more than just sucking his cock, or receiving anal. I would imagine first kissing his stomach as a show of affection or adoration before taking him into my mouth. I was starting to imagine holding onto his strong arms and pulling his body closer, deeper into me. Maybe softly kissing his fingers, even playfully biting them.
  15. I use reddit now, as a means to try and find Mr. Right. It is sort of an unwritten understanding with my partner now that I "explore" myself on reddit, but I don't share any of the details. Perhaps there will come a stage where I'm more open about it.
  16. Sometimes, I can imagine myself in a gay relationship, but there would be very specific parameters - I would be the submissive one. I would be expected to present as femme as often as possible. I would be the stereotypical "housewife" (cooking, baking, cleaning, being sexually ready at all times, nurturing the husband). Ideally, I would be in chastity 24/7, or have complete disregard toward my penis until it just learns to remain soft on its own (maybe still getting nocturnal emmisions at night). The idea of worshipping and submitting to his body gives me butterflies. And this is a BIG one --- if he knows how to treat me and our chemistry is right, I would maybe even allow him to kiss me.
  17. As far as porn goes, I now watch different genres for different purposes. Lesbian porn: Imagining myself as one of the "girls" and the other girl is just like me. Genetically born a male, but identifies strongly as a "girl". I imagine that we are playing while Daddy is away or that we're just playing for his amusement. He never let's us orgasm unless he tells us to, and he makes sure that there is a strong, imprinting, humiliating aspect to our orgasms - so that each time, we go deeper into our roles and can no longer deny who we are. Trans porn: obviously imagining myself as the trans pornstar, being taken forcefully by a real man. Having no Fouts about my sexuality. Hypno porn: This pushes me past any of my self-doubt and encourages me to not only drop my defenses but also to accept my fate. Everything I fear, I learn to entertain and even embrace when I'm watching the right kind of hypno porn. Finally gay porn: if I have refrained from cumming for over two months, then my mind really goes to that "desperate" place. Ideally, one man is the Dom, and is masculine, but cute. Not the kind of man who "acts" manly, but just naturally is - confident, smart, strong, manipulative. The other male is the more femme type, but not overly. Still a male (not trans) - soft, gentle, body made to receive, ass is more like a pussy, no hesitation to kiss, to play with his own soft cock, to suck his own fingers while looking at his Daddy in the eyes, gripping onto his Daddys hips, pulling him closer, moaning his name, fully accepting his place.
Going forward: I would love to have both a female and male partner. Essentially, to be a cuck to my wife, and only allowed to please her with my mouth - never with my penis (unless after an instructed orgasm, knowing that I'd be too soft to be able to penetrate her). I would only be able to make love to him, and my wife would enjoy watching, and would taunt me, encouraging me to go deeper each time. I would sleep with her each night, wearing something soft and silky, and we may kiss or fondle, or she may get me to eat her out (even if Daddy's cum is inside her still). Some nights she would either sneak off into Daddy's bedroom to sleep with him, or just openly sleep there, leaving me in bed alone some nights. I would hear them making love, but I would be locked in chastity, unable to cum. I'm encouraged at all times to play with my ass (aka my pussy) with either my fingers, a dildo or butt plug, so as to keep me constantly ready and make sure I'm always aroused - and aware of feeling empty if something isn't inside of me at any given time.
I want to be in a safe, loving, encouraging and open relationship where everyone is happy and their needs are met. I'm not sure if I'd classify myself as bi or gay. Definitely not straight. The idea of exploring these limits are what gives me life.

2024.05.14 21:38 FewWillingness1081 Allow your client testimonials to speak for your brand.

Getting some of your initial clients is hard.
It was hard for me.
What I did to gain my first batch of clients was 2 things.
  1. I found a local tech event in Los Angeles, and sponsored it. It cost me $500.00
  2. I offered a heavy discount on my services. Something to the tune of $500.00
You could show off a nice app design for around $5k. Cheaper if you're outsourcing it overseas, but I am in the US, I charge US rates, I deliver US quality.
At the time I ended up delivering about $4,000.00 worth of work, for $3,000.00.
Sometimes people just need a push to get started, so the sale certainly helped.
Here's my brand.
I didn't care so much as try to make the most money up front, I wanted to build a network of people who were willing to say good things about me.
Now, those testimonials sit on my Linkedin, Youtube, my website. They are in the ether forever. So when people have doubts about you, your brand, or whatever it is that you do, your testimonials and reviews will shine the most in these moments.
Not only are your early reviews and testimonials of utmost value, you should get them recorded, and on video.
Why? Because they are worth their weight in gold.
I have attached a few examples here:
  1. Happy Client 1
  2. Happy Client 2
  3. Happy Client 3
  4. Happy Client 4
  5. Happy Client 5
  6. Happy Client 6
  7. Happy Client 7
  8. Happy Client 8
  9. Happy Client 9
  10. Happy Client 10
It was hard to get these. People have lives, and others don't always feel comfortable. I would in-fact say 1 in 25 people were willing to sit down and record the video. So be prepared for that also.
Now that I have these, I can charge the prices that are appropriate for my service (while I still can, before AI does it for me).
Trolls, go ahead and troll, but the internet has trust issues. There are good people out there, but hard to find. The more you can prove you provide the quality you say you can provide, the better you will perform in this internet world.
I hope this helps young entrepeneurs.

Another good week for Broadway, $35 million is right about where the grosses were this time in those 2017/18/19 seasons that were so lucrative. Tony nominations are starting to take affect, Suffs posted their first earning week this week, and Hell's Kitchen sold incredibly well. I am including award wins roundups as well (Outer Critics Circle announced yesterday). As always, I have put the weekly operating cost (where known, and a rough estimation if not), and an estimated profit or loss for the week. I do not have all of the information for every (most) shows, but if you have access to information about shows and would like to share it with me, please do!
My methodology for estimating profit (or loss) is as follows:
  1. Subtract 16% from grosses. This is credit card fees, as well as the cut that the theater owners take off the top of the grosses, in addition to charging a flat rent. The weekly operating cost is usually the fixed cost for the production, which does not account for this cut%. If you get a chance to look at a show's offering papers, this number is the Net Operating Profit.
  2. Compare that new number to the weekly operating cost, if it's lower, subtract weekly minimum guarantees, and record the difference as the loss for that week. If the reserve is known for a show, I will record that as well.
  3. If it made money, subtract either 20% or 30% for royalties (after subtracting WMGs),
NOTE: If an awarding body is not listed, that show was not nominated by that group
Grosses (chronological order from opening)-
Back to the Future: The Musical - $872k gross, 78% capacity, $93 atp (Up ~$29k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $733k; Weekly Operating Cost: $815k/week; Estimated profit (loss): (106k)
Award Nominations Roundup: Outer Critics Circle (5), Tonys (2)
Another lackluster week for Back to the Future. No major Tony nominations, an upcoming tour which could be discouraging tourists. This is the first time they have had back-to-back loosing weeks during their run. Hopefully the summer is kind to this show.
Merrily We Roll Along - $1.5 million gross, 100% capacity, $196 atp (Up ~82k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $1.275 million; Weekly Operating Cost: $800k/week; Estimated profit (loss): $270k
2024 Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (5), Tonys (7\)*
Award Wins: 2023 Outer Critic Circle (2)
Hot ticket does hot ticket things. This production has already recouped, anything else is just icing on the cake. It has profited a total of nearly $1 million by my estimates.
The Notebook- $786k gross, 87% capacity, $110 atp (Up ~$113k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: 660k; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: $620k/week; Estimated profit (loss): $12k
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (3\), Outer Critics Circle (1), Drama Desk (2), Tonys (3)*
Good rebound week for the Notebook, they're back in the black, and grosses this level could hold. Especially since the soundtrack seems to be being well received.
Water for Elephants - $1.0 million gross, 83% capacity, $115 atp (Up ~$64k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $902k; Weekly Operating Cost: $805k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): $61k; Remaining Reserve: $2.6 million
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (1\), Outer Critics Circle (5*), Drama Desk (7), Tonys (7*), PETA (1)*
Award Wins: PETA (1), Outer Critics Circle (1)
Water for Elephants continues to chug along. It's posted essentially the same grosses the last three weeks, and this is a good place for it to stick around at. Congratulations to Jessica Stone for her Outer Critics Circle win for directing.
The Who's Tommy - $991k gross, 85% capacity, $123 atp (Up ~$80k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $832k; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: ~$700k-750k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): $40k-$75k
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (3\), Outer Critics Circle (6*), Drama Desk (1), Tonys (1*)*
Award Wins: Outer Critics Circle (1)
Good week for Tommy. Lukewarm Tony response nonetheless, they're doing just fine. Congratulations Peter Nigrini for his win for projections.
The Outsiders - $1.0 million gross, 100% capacity, $124 atp (Up ~$129k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $860k; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: ~$700k-$750k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): $68k-$108k
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (3\), Outer Critics Circle (3*), Drama Desk (9*), Tonys (12*)*
Award Wins: Outer Critics Circle (1)
Excellent week for Outsiders. Expect these grosses to hold for a while. Congratulations Brian MacDevitt for his win for lighting.
Lempicka - $419k gross, 87% capacity, $57 atp (Up ~$144k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $352k; Weekly Operating Cost: ~$660k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): ($322k)
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (3\), Tonys (3)*
I'm glad to see that they're playing to mostly full houses as they come to the end of their run. Still took a 300k loss.
Suffs - $802k gross, 93% capacity, $110 atp (Up ~$171k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $674k; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: ~$640k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): $6k
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (4\), Outer Critics Circle (5*), Drama Desk (8), Tonys (6*)*
Award Wins: Outer Critics Circle (3\)*
This show is the first to really feel the impact of the Tony nominations, posting their first earning week this week. Not that Outer Critics Circle counts for much grosses wise or Tony predictions wise, but a massive congratulations to the production for winning Best Musical, as well as Shaina Taub for Book and Score.
Hell's Kitchen - $1.5 million gross, 101% capacity, $127 atp (Up ~$233 from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $1.06 million; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: ~$800k-$850k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): $108k-$141k
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (3\), Outer Critics Circle (1), Drama Desk (5), Tonys (13*)*
Award Wins: Outer Critics Circle (1),
And this is what being the leading Tony nominee as well as having a massive IP will do. Congratulations Kecia Lewis for her win for featured performer. (And to the show for being Jesse Green's pick to win the Tony I guess)
Heart of Rock and Roll - $319k gross, 69% capacity, $54 atp (Up ~$31k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $267k; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: $650k; Estimated Profit (Loss): ($407k)
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (1\), Drama Desk (1)*
After a good week last week HORAR faltered this week. Apparently, this is financed through June, and I'm always happy to see people keeping their jobs.
The Great Gatsby - $1.1 million gross, 90% capacity, $109 atp (Up $130k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $991k; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: $800k-850k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): 87k-$124k
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (1), Outer Critics Circle (4\), Drama Desk (1), Tonys (1)*
Award Wins: Outer Critics Circle (2)
This show is the current leader in the Broadway World fan awards in almost every category. They're going to be just fine with this cast, posting their best week yet. Congratulations Paul Tate dePoo III and Linda Cho for their wins in scenic design and costumes, respectively.
The Wiz - $1.5 million gross, 95% capacity, $128 atp (Up ~$109k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $1.316 million; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: $800k-$850k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): $309k-$344k
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (2\)*
The Wiz got no Tony nominations, but they don't need them. This show will be just fine on the Broadway stop of their tour.
Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club - $2.0 million gross, 99% capacity, $235 atp (Up ~$89k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $1.687 million; Weekly Operating Cost: $974k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): 464k; Reserves Remaining: $2.2 million
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (5\), Outer Critics Circle (2*), Drama Desk (5*), Tonys (9*)*
I mourn the loss of accessible theater with this Cabaret revival. That said, glad to see it's doing well. This show also has some really strong advance ticket sales so it should continue to be just fine.
Illinoise - $679k gross, 94% capacity, $89 atp (Down ~$4k)
Gross Less-Fees: $570k; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: $625k; Estimated Profit (Loss): ($64k)
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (1\), Outer Critics Circle (6*), Drama Desk (4*), Tonys (4*)*
Award Wins: Outer Critics Circle (1)
Obviously the grosses for this week are affected by the show missing a performance, but more importantly losing their production stage manager, Thomas Gates, and my heart goes out to the entire production team, cast, and crew for their loss. From a purely financial perspective, not sure if this gamble is going to pay off (it needs to average 1.05 mil to recoup, even with a Tony win that's unlikely), but it will likely play through its run, especially if it wins some Tonys. Congratulations Justin Peck for his win for choreography.

2024.05.14 18:55 RayDalio2 Funny Story

Funny Story
(meme ke tag me dia, kyu ki bohot bhayankar comedy hui hai is story me)
The whole story starts on jee Session 1 result day, got a abysmal percentile really mood off ho gaya tha uske bareme kyu ki mummy ko usidin subha niche saraswati ke puja me jana tha and shab logo ke "result kaisa hua" question pe ashamed feel hoigi wo. In the mean time, mujhe khaba r atahai ki ek banda, lets calls his name C...uska 120 marks pe 90%tile aya hai wo bhi 29S1 me and I was totally shocked. Kyuki who C banda, parhai me itna fudu tha, ki pre boards me sab subject me fail tha (maths, phy and chem me uske single digit me marks the), conjure his prep level from the single fact kyu ki wo sara din mobile pe beta rehta tha, or parhai ke nampe larki bazi karta tha (wo bhi unsuccessful tha uska).
Next din sham ko utra khelne ke lie, to wo C banda sabo bol raha tha ki wo baju wale bande ke side se copy kia tha pura paper, upar se wo banda that SC quota ka. Bhai....wo sunke mereko itna gussa aya, ghar jake me apna ap hi apne room me rant kar raha tha ki sala thik se par lia hota to us chutie se kam %tile nahi ata mera.
Uske kuch din bad boards aya, wo complete hua to sab phirse niche walk karne kenie utre. Jabhi ata tha wo C banda mere samne me gala phar phar ke bolta tha ki "tui cheating karke jo nit jayga ab, guilty nahi lagta ki tere jaisa failu wa jake masti kare ga ?, ja mu mar kahi aur" (ik galat that, still the max rant were from my incompetence and inability to score any good in jee, usilie uske upar bharas nikal raha tha). Bohot bolta tha usko leke, aur wo C banda thora akal se hi gandu and baklol tha to usko bohot protective rakhte the sablog...to wo rants ke bad mujhe mere ek female friend ne bataya wo sab usko na bolne ko and all. Me kya hi bolu aur, chup ho gaya.
Boards ke result ke age ke din mujhe bolta raha ki "mera nit dgp me civil ho jayga, me wahi chala jauga" (HS quota hai dgp ka), to uske wo statement me bola, "ha ha, good job bhai wo crack karne me" kyuki at that point of time I accepted my reality and started to grind for my drop year, kyuki isbar ke adv me hopes thore low hai. Fir flex kar raha that C ki "bhai 20,000 lage ge lock korene me jossa ka ek seat", wo bhi mu bandh karke sunlia.
Fir aya, kal ta subha...me hw kar raha tha, mummy bolo boards ke result aya hai. Mera dekha mera result or mera mind ekbar ke lie socha, wo C ko call karu ?, kyuki wo har jee result ke bad phn karke puch ta tha and all. Is bar mee kardie phn usko, phn kat dia. Thora sus laga, but koi nahi. Sham hogai thi, tab mummy khabar deti hai ki C ka maths me 5/80 ayahai, uska compartment laga hai...... Sale ka kat gaya bhai, uske hat se nit bhi gaya Boards me aur compartment
To guys, cheating karke zada dur nahi jate log. Ek na ekdin ata hi hai uska downfall

2024.05.14 18:27 Middle-Ad3700 I’m in a CRISIS.

I’m in a CRISIS.
So I’m going to the trilogy tour in Amsterdam, I secured normal seating tickets (rank 2, 203) for me , my sister and my mom on the pre sale, but now that the setlist and the VIP exclusive merch is out.. I kinda want to get a VIP early entry (for the merch and possibly a better experience) ticket which are veryyy expensive (€240).. I went to the portals tour and was standing somewhere in the back but still enjoyed the concert a lot.. but I don’t know how cramped it will get in the Golden Circle and if it’s actually worth the money?
My questions are basically… - What’s the experience in The golden circle for a Melanie concert (especially trilogy, this concert is her biggest yet)? - What quality are the Cry baby figures that are in the exclusive merch and is the exclusive merch worth it? (- Does anyone have better pictures of the figures please? I actually need to analyze everything before making the final decision LOL.) - Any experience with re selling tickets through ticket master? Because if I get a VIP ticket I’ll have a ticket over…
This is a stupid post, but I’ve been thinking about this for the last 3 days and just don’t know what to do.. I LOVE Melanie and this will be her last Cry Baby tour probably EVER, and I want to get the best experience out of it. Im just a teenage girl and don’t want to make bad financial decisions 🥲

2024.05.14 18:02 NotElizaHenry Oh my god, yarn is so expensive [adding more characters]

Prefacing by saying I pretty much only buy yarn on sale online, or occasionally a single skein of Malabrigo locally.
I made an outing to Wool & Company on Sunday with $150 in my pocket and dreams of a sweater in my heart. I had a picture in my head of the exact, very specific yarn I wanted and hoped existed. After a half hour of looking, I found it! DK, merino, oatmeal-y base with bright multicolor tweed speckles. Incredible. I’ll take 6.
Then I looked at the price. Oh. Dreams shattered, heart broken. This is what yarn costs when it’s not on sale.
Okay, pivot. My sweater will now be one stand of fuzzy lace alpaca and one strand of fingering. After the alpaca, I have $70 to spend on four skeins of fingering. That’s easy. It’s so small! I don’t use fingering much, but how much could it cost? It’s for socks! It’s not like people are knitting $40 socks, that would be crazy! Well, I have news for everybody: people ARE knitting $40 socks. Like, a lot of people, apparently. Every perfect skein I found was wildly out of budget. I think I spent an hour circling that store in search of something I loved that I could also afford.
Then: Cascade. I realized I never even entered the Cascade section. I’m at a yarn mecca; why would I? But here I go. Heritage Sock? None are quite right, but what’s this next to it? Fingering, almost perfect shade, I’ll take it. I bring my skeins up to the register and the woman who’s been helping me this entire time says “Great choice! I think these are only $5.50 each!” WHAT? I go check the rack again. She’s right! How is this possible? She explains that it’s two ply and most people don’t like knitting with two ply. I tell her that for $5.50, I’ll get over it. She rings me up and I’m $60 under budget. What a time to be alive.
Today I checked WEBS and the original perfect rainbow speckled tweed yarn is on sale for 25% off. Alas.

2024.05.14 14:48 Caramel-Inevitable My experience with egg retrieval, including my protocol, costs, scheduling and results (US)

I started stim on 5/2/24, which was the second day of my cycle/period.
Here are some stats: * I'm 37, eat very clean and lift heavy weights. I weigh between 113 and 117lbs. * I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism when I was 17 and have been taking Levothyroxine for the last 20 years * My periods are very regular. I get very bad mood swings during my Leutal phase. * AMH 1.48 and AFC 32 (12 on the left and 20 on the right) at baseline bloodwork and ulttasound in February. * I had alcohol until 2 days before my cycle started. I didn't drink once my period started. * I stopped lifting weights once I started stim. I didn't do much cardio either.
This was my protocol (Day 1 means "day 1 of stim", which is the second day of my cycle):
Day 1-Day 4 * Gonal F 225iu * Menupur 75iu
Symptoms: Slightly more emotional. Belly felt like I might be pregnant and I felt the need to be extra careful when getting out of bed etc. Overall felt my usual self.
Sex: Non penetrative. Orgasm caused no discomfort. At certain times, sucking in my tummy felt a bit like I might be pushing down on something inside me.
Tests: bloodwork and ultrasound on Day 1
Day 5-Day 9 * Gonal F 225iu * Menupur 75iu * Centrotide .25mg
Symtoms: Not much.
Tests: bloodwork and ultrasound on Day 5 and Day 8. I think they said the follicular count was 6 on the left and 16 on the right.
Sex: Non penetrative maybe around Day 5 or 6. Orgasm caused no discomfort.
Day 10 * Gonal F 225iu * Menupur 75iu * Centrotide .25mg Trigger shots at 9:45pm * HCG (Novarel) 5000 is * Lupron (Leuprolide Acetate) 80 units (4mg)
Tests: bloodwork and ultrasound on Day 10. Follicular count (that were large enough) had increased to 8 on the left and 18 on the right. Most of them were around 16mm to 17mm. I think there was one that was like 19mm. This is from memory so the numbers might not be exact.
Day 11
• 11am Azithromycin 1g (two 500 mg tablets)
I was asked to take this on Day 10 at night, but I misread the instructions and took it in the AM on Day 11. I was told this is fine.
Hydration: I drank a lot of water throughout the day in preparation for surgery the next day. I didn't eat or drink anything after 11pm that night.
Symtoms: Woke up on Day 11 with pelvic discomfort and cramps which I figured was from the trigger shots the night before. I was waddling a bit when walking. Driving over small bumps caused discomfort. After taking the Azithromicin at 11am, I felt a bit feverish. I had to lay down. I fell asleep for a couple of hours. I woke up around 3pm feeling perfectly fine. The pelvic cramps were gone as well. The rest of the day was smooth sailing, except for this feeling like my stomach was stretched beyond normal. It almost felt like I was constantly holding in my stomach because of the way it was stretching my tummy.
Tests: bloodwork on Day 11
Day 12
Retrieval in the morning. The IV stung throughout the procedure until they put me under. This was probably the most uncomfortable part of the entire procefure. I was out of the clinic in almost exactly 2 hours. It almost felt like I just went in for a blood draw and walked out. It doesn't feel like anyone did anything down there.
Before leaving the hospital they told me they were able to retrieve 30 eggs. Later in the day they left a message in the online portal saying they were able to freeze 27.
I spent the day on the couch drinking gatorade. Took a nap. Overall I'm felt great, other than for a very slight headache which started around 6pm. I had a Tylenol extra strengh which helped. It kind of felt like I drank a bit the night before and I was hungover. I'm prescribed Letrozole two times for 7 days a day and Cabergoline at night for 16 days.
Costs\ My insurance didn't cover anything related to fertility. Out of pocket cost was around $13300 ($8100 for procedure, $650 anesthesia, $35 initial tele visit, $4500 medication). I might have spent an additional $150-$300 in bloodwork.
I did have an additional $760 added to my cost because I visited a different hospital initially (Penn medicine in Philly) - they were not upfront about all the costs and ended up charging me $380 for the initial visit with the doctor (which was a bit like a sales pitch) and another $380 for the baseline ultrasound even though they told me it would be covered by my insurance. It was also really hard to get a call back from their billing team (they rarely return your calls).
Scheduling\ Main Line fertility in Philly worked with my cycle. Since I already had the baseline ultrasound and bloodwork done, they were able to get me started on stims with my upcoming cycle.
They required me to call them on Day 1 of my period to schedule to come in and get bloodwork on Day 2. I started stim on Day 2 of my period. I had my retrieval on Day 13 of my period.
End to end, starting from my first consult with them, I had my eggs retrieved in 21 days.
The hospital I was working with previously (Penn Medicine), had me going around in circles for months. It was extremely stressful. I'll write a separate post about red flags to look out for when choosing a clinic/hospital.

2024.05.14 13:58 Honeysyedseo Justin Brooke's Journey From Interning with Russell Brunson to Selling Millions

My name is Justin Brooke and I got started in 2005.
I didn’t make my first 6 figures until 2007 though, when I interned for an Internet millionaire named Russell Brunson.
In 2015 I launched a course called Media Buying Masters.
It made $48,000 in one weekend.
I built the sales page for this course using Unbounce because…
  1. Drag and drop interface
  2. Built-in split testing
  3. Dynamic keyword insertion
2016 - 2022 I published over 30 more courses and created a whole online school.
We had a certification program, matchmaker program, and the biggest experts published on our platform.
It was like Masterclass or Skillshare, but for online ads.
It made millions.
In 2022 I sold AdSkills, and started another company.
Happily Unemployed.
Having already made my millions, now I teach others how to do it too - for just $79/yr.
The most important advice I can give you…
The thing that made 85% of the $4.8 million that AdSkills generated…
BUILD. YOUR. EMAIL. LIST!
Same thing Brunson taught me almost 20yrs ago.
I use and highly recommend ConvertKit for all your email list building needs.
ConvertKit helps you…
You can build automations that send educational and sales emails while you sleep.
This is the key.
Automations = passive income
Finally, you need a product…
For almost 20yrs I have sold courses and coaching.
No inventory to manage No shipping cost No manufacturing fee
You do the work once, and you get paid over and over again without any extra cost or time to deliver to each new customer.
For my course delivery I use Circle because…
If you want to sell one off courses, workshops, cohort courses, or summits Circle does it all.
With these 3 tools, my costs are roughly $300/mo.
And yet it’s capable of making millions.

The reality is the paintbrush doesn’t make the artist. Pick the tools you’ll actually love using.
