Fillable calenders

Thinking of doing some consulting work on the side - help me pick a CRM/tools that makes for a good workflow

2023.06.27 22:29 iwillalwaysthrowaway Thinking of doing some consulting work on the side - help me pick a CRM/tools that makes for a good workflow

So I want to start doing a little bit of consulting work on the side. I don’t know how much business it will drum up (and still working full time) so I’m trying to minimize any costs until I get an idea of whether people want my services. I still work full time so this isn’t primary income.
Can any savvy business owners give some advice regarding CRM software - it will only need one seat for me. Ideally I’d like something free/low cost that has a fillable form that automatically builds a CRM customer line. I’d then like to integrate with Zoom (or whatever) if they book a consultation (hopefully with a live calendar like Calendly). Also, if they attach something to the fillable form, it’d be nice to automatically pull that into Drive etc. I’d like something within that platform to generate a quote, and also an integration for some form of signing software to allow for easy acceptance of a quote. Bonus points if it can also integrate/generate an invoice! (I’m well aware that this may be too much for free…)
I expect to be working with homeowners who may not be tech savvy so I want a workflow that is “one click” - I don’t really want them to have to download any additional apps to work with me. So one click to join a conference call, and one click to sign a quote.

2023.06.25 17:56 iwillalwaysthrowaway Dumb questions about a sole proprietorship in NS (and other business questions)

So I want to start doing a little bit of consulting work on the side and honestly, I don’t know where to start so looking for some guidance from those that may have tread before me!
How did you set yourself up? Are you operating as your name Vs as a business name. I don’t know how much business it will drum up (and still working full time) so I’m trying to minimize any costs until I get a sense. I also don’t have a website, domain email or anything - and am trying to figure out how to do this low cost until I know if there’s any demand or not.
What’s the technical definition of “operating under a business name”. Can I have a branded website and a branded email (let’s say @throwingitaway.com) and then an invoice just showing my name (Oscar the Grouch) and that’s operating under my name? Or does this constitute operating under a business name and therefore should be registered?
Can any savvy business owners give some advice regarding CRM software? Ideally I’d like something free/low cost that has a fillable form that automatically builds a CRM customer line. I’d then like to integrate with Zoom (or whatever conference call platform) if they book a consultation (hopefully with a live calendar like Calendly so people can see when I’m available). Also, if they attach something to the fillable form, it’d be nice to automatically pull that into Drive etc. I’d like something within that platform to generate a quote, and also an integration for some form of signing software to allow for easy acceptance of a quote. Bonus points if it can also integrate/generate an invoice! (I’m well aware that this may be too much for free…). Mainly I want to try keep it in one platform, but the big thing is I don’t want clients to need to download any apps to join a call, or sign a contract or view an invoice. I know I find these processes annoying and want to make things fairly simple for people to interact with me - but I want to step up a little more than having a Facebook page as the way to interact with me.
Any pointers to help me get started would be a godsend!

2022.01.19 16:07 limedaring Need a list of the best startup growth tools for 2022?

Launching and growing a startup is difficult in a way only founders will truly understand. And while there are thousands of tools to consider, it can be tough to narrow down the best of the best.
Below are some of the best tools you can use in 2022:
Savvycal
SavvyCal is a calendar scheduling app like Calendly. This tool offers a personalized scheduling experience, enables team scheduling, and recipients can overlay their calendars to find the best meeting times.
Reform
Reform is a form builder for creating easy-to-complete branded forms on single or multi-pages. Reform has numerous templates, and responses come directly to your inbox, making communication with respondents easy.
SignWell
SignWell is an e-signature tool that reduces document signing time by 40%+. They have reusable templates and automatically detect blank lines, so it’s easier to align fillable fields. They also track views and shares of your document and notify you about completed documents.
Keeping
Keeping allows you to easily and quickly follow up on customer inquiries directly from your Gmail inbox. You could also be invisible to customers; all they'll see is a friendly email. Plus, there’s no duplicate response as each customer request is handled by one team member.
Intercom Early Stage
This is a 3-in-1 tool. It allows you to collect customer feedback, gives you access to Intercom’s Early Stage Academy, and helps you introduce prospects to your product without the pressure of having them schedule a demo.
Userlist
Userlist is an email marketing tool created explicitly for SaaS companies.
It has a slick and simple design, allows you to send targeted in-app messages to your customers, create and automate behavior-based email campaigns, and has a slew of other great features.
SegMetrics
Segmetrics helps you understand the lifetime revenue value for each traffic source and lead. You get detailed insights about each marketing touchpoint and you can directly connect your payment platforms so each purchase is only counted once.
Churnkey
Churnkey is an excellent tool for halting customer churn. They create a complete customer “offboarding” experience that includes cancellation surveys and win-back offers that aid client retention.
Harbor Plan
Harbor Plan is a lead gen tool that allows teams to follow up prospects proactively. One of its noteworthy features is its personalized automated responses.
Hope this helps! I would love to know what tools your startup can’t live without. Let’s make this a valuable resource for all founders and their teams.

2021.01.06 21:27 Huckfest ProConnect Organizer - Intuit Link is Lacking

Hello fellow TaxPro Redditors!
I've been spending the last few months really trying to hone in on a system for a safe and efficient filing season. I've decided to provide all clients my Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), which highlights the importance of receiving documents in a timely fashion. In addition, I've established a Calendly account that allows for specific meeting times. I'm shooting for phone and Zoom meetings, so that the clients who wish to discuss their 2020 tax documents have the opportunity. The SOP will be going out within the next few days as a "Welcome to Tax Season."
After sending out the SOP w/ Calendly Link - I will be sending each client a personalized organizer through Intuit Link. I've used Link in the past and it's alright... but not the best. I've found that it is incredibly laborious to update each clients' Link profile. There is no room for Prior Year amounts (which, I feel, is incredibly useful for the Taxpayer's overall organization.) The questionnaire is pretty bland, and really only serves as a CYA - there is little value derived here.
About half my clients have Schedule C's or E's, and I'd like to give them "Prior Year" amounts with their organizers (Kind of like Lacerte does on the paper organizers.) I've downloaded blank copies of Intuit's Paper Organizers and converted them to fillable PDF's. My plan was to manually go in and input the prior year amounts, but as you can imagine - we're talking about hours of tedious labor.

Has anybody else found a good system for giving clients a document that says "This is exactly the Information and Documentation I need in order to file your return... now Go!" I love ProConnect software, but I hate how lacking my organizers are.
Note: I service around 150 clients (with the purchase of a 250 client business in the works) Pretty much everyone is a 1040 - I do the bookkeeping for all my business clients so we're good there.
I appreciate any input :)

2020.11.22 02:12 Throwwawayy3929t A planner that works for me and other academic (or workplace) resources!

The Academic Success Center at Oregan State University has a bunch of academic support tools/resources/worksheets, in things like Time Management, Prioritization, Note Taking Styles, etc. You can access the materials without being a student there.
*They are not specifically geared towards people with ADHD but they do help support multiple executive functions.
My absolute favorite, is their "Weekly Calender (fillable)" under Time Management. There are hour-time slots for each day during the week along with three priority columns: one for regular stuff, one for "special" stuff (idk), and then a small box at the bottom of each day. It is one of the few reasons why I am not failing my hybrid semester. I fill it out mostly during stressful weeks that have a lot of assignments due and/or multiple exams.
For me, it is hard to keep track of assignments by memory. I either forget them or the due date. I also have a lot of trouble prioritizing them and estimating how much time they take to do (hello all nighters!). This goes for test prepping as well. It has always held me back from my true academic potential.
So with these worksheets, it is much easier to visualize my week and what I need to do instead of casting them into the static that is my brain.
Another resource I use, and what I depend on the most, is a medium sized wall calendar with boxes for each date with some lines in it (this is the one I use from Staples. I keep it hanging on the wall my desk is up against so it is always infront of me and I don't get "lost" as easily in the semester. The big ones that lay on top of a desk don't work for me because my desk gets pretty messy/cluttered. It is pretty low maintenance. At the beginning of each semester, I will "hyperfocus" for a day and write down the due dates/tests/quizzes for each course according to the syllabi (color coded by class). Unless there is random assignments assigned, there isn't constant things to write down throughout the semester. Something I like to do through is crossing off an assignment when I complete it for a little dopamine boost.
Obviously, this is just my experience and it will not work for everyone. For me personally, it is a massive help to write down things on a physical thing to keep track. Lists are hard for me to organize so that's why I seek out the "modified" ones that simplify everything on one page.

There have been a few posts lately talking about how we need to get people registered to vote for Yang in the primaries or we won't get anywhere; I agree.
This list has every state plus D.C., Puerto Rico, and Abroad's voter information, registration deadlines, primary election day, and registration links.
Some of the information is missing because I couldn't find it. If you happen to find any of the missing information OR if you live in any state and find out this information has changed please let me know so we can keep this updated. (Nebraska we need someone to call and confirm the info in the table)
We should use these links to help get people registered as Democrats in order for Yang to win the nomination.
