Just cut and bleached my hair. Should I keep it lighter or let it tone down to my natural color?
pic 1 is without styling, pic 2 is styled. Pic 3 is what I was before the recent bleaching. 4 is what my natural hair color looks like (I haven't had it for several years, so it's very old I'm sorry!), and the last is the black hair I've had for 4 years. If you want a more accurate look at my natural hair color, the side shave and roots in the last picture is the natural color!
I loved the black, but most people told me it was too harsh/draining on my skin. If my skin tone would suit it, I'd love to try out a white/silver blonde and reach my ultimate "Targaryen" hair goals.
What do you think? Go lighter and try and reach my goals? Or would my natural blonde suit me better? Or something else entirely?
Also any tips of hairstyle or cut is appreciated. Also got told to ditch the side shave, so I'm growing it out very very slowly and painfully.

F33
I am considering removing the birthmarks/moles on my face, in particular the bigger ones below lips and beside nose, most visible in pic 1. Are they causing considerable disharmony?
No makeup despite of eyebrows and sunscreen in the pictures with blue shirt. Enlargened pores and skin condition in general is an area I am putting effort in, but with less results than I would wish for. Sunscreen might make the skin look a bit oily. Hair looking different in the pictures depending on stage in wash cycle/hair products. Pictures in blue shirt are from today, white shirt yesterday.
I am generally drawn to practical hairstyles like braids, unkempt mess, or shorter hairstyles with little to no daily management. Might drag down my looks but so be it. But would my facial features be complimeneted by shortelonger hair? Dyed hair?
Trying again with frontal pictures with the whole head showing, to abide by the photo quality rules.

As you can see in the pictures I get these black boxes either going through houses and such, as well as taking the screen over eventually. 2024.05.14 13:23 digital_wiz How We Scaled a Hair Extension Brand using Facebook Ads and SEO to give $80,000 ROI in 6 Months (Detailed Breakdown)

Hello Redditors,
This is an incredible success story of how we helped a client achieve incredible results in just four months, generating an $80,000 return on investment (ROI) with a combination of SEO and Facebook Ads. We have completed many successful projects and there's a certain satisfaction in seeing our strategies translate to such tangible growth. I have tried to keep this post extremely detailed so that it can be beneficial for experienced marketers and newcomers alike.
The Client: Hair Extension E-commerce Brand
Revenue Split Between SEO and Fb ads: 3:2
Average Order Value: $350
Total Revenue(6 months): $140,000
Expenses(6 months): Product Cost + Delivery cost + Team + Agency Fees + Ads Cost+ Website Optimization + Packaging: $60000
Basic Company Background:
The brand was being run by a Mother-Daughter duo for the past 3 months. They had a shopify website with average structure and were struggling with facebook ads themselves. Although they made few physical sales due to friends and relatives but were unable to utilize the digital potential of their business as such. After trying facebook ads for some time they wanted a reliable digital marketing team to work with and they were recommended to us by one of our other customers who has a service based business. Initially we connected majorly for facebook ads but after the initial discussion when were doing research from our side, we found that there is huge potential in SEO for this niche so we suggested that we should prepare a proper website on wordpress and focus on both SEO and Ads parallelly as, although Ads will give an initial boost to the business but SEO will bring some stability and help in building a sustainable business.
Facebook Ads Campaign Structure:
Ads Creatives and Brand Positioning:
It's important to note that after deep research we could find that a major share our hair extensions customers are females aged between 21-45 so we did not actively position our brand as solving problems of low hair volume, but instead we focused on how the products ads style, gives a much better look and you can try new hairstyles and hair colors daily. Also since almost all the demographics in this age group are working, we tested a professional look angle as well which gave us decent results. In ad creatives as well as on the website we made the daughter as the face of the product as we want to slowly grow her instagram as well which can add another organic and sustainable stream of revenue. She shoots before and after transition videos, general product application videos and other videos for ads according to the target audience and brand positioning strategy we discussed earlier. Instead of making long videos focused on product details a lot, we made short but captivating videos which can appeal to the young audience’s fashion sense.
Key Takeaways from FB Ads:
Mostly Meta Ads or Any other marketing tactic is just a traffic source but conversion will basically happen by how well you are able to communicate your product to the audience through your website. Its is necessary to have a smooth user journey, attractive offers, crisp information and right brand positioning on the website.
It is extremely important to make data driven decisions and track customer journeys meticulously. Always rely on your own tracking or google analytics to avoid the potential unreliability of Facebook Ads Manager.
Seo Strategy
If you don’t already know this, SEO is all about how effectively you can strategize your content and technical efforts keeping a bigger picture in mind. After our initial keyword research we could find that the average Kd of the important keywords was low when it comes to commercial keywords which were directly related to the business.
It's important to note that since the website was being built after our onboarding only so it was easy for us to structure the website according to the SEO strategy that we prepared.
At every stage we had meetings with the developer to ensure that there are no technical issues that will hinder the SEO growth and future and also we structured the website to be SEO friendly. We built separate pages for all the product categories and after through keyword research we added content to those pages so that the pages itself can rank for commercial keywords.
After the website was ready we audited it for technical issues(Like mobile friendliness, H1 tags, canonical tags, etc) we started focusing on the content. We wanted to establish our website as a trusted authority in the hair extensions and hair care industry in general.
Since the website was completely new, initially we created blogs(2-3 times per week) around informational keywords with low KD purely for increasing our website authority and bringing the initial traffic on the website. We have seen that usually people start stressing about approaching big websites for guest postings since the first day itself but if your keyword research and content is solid, that is not required in the beginning. Initially we focused on profile creations, image submissions, pdf submissions, internal linking in the content, web 2.0 backlinks etc and this was more than enough for us to rank for low difficulty keywords and increase our DA to a decent level so that our category pages can rank for low difficulty keywords.
Here I would like to include a tip, many times people are worried that what if the backlink that they have created doesn't get indexed. In the initial phase we work really hard when it comes to what we call as maturing our backlinks as this is the major factor for ranking on low difficulty keywords. So basically what we do is, we make backlinks of our web 2.0 backlinks itself which helps the primary backlink in getting indexed which ultimately helps with our website DA.
Also many people have been asking us in our previous posts how we structure our blog since I talk a lot about content quality, see it's not as hard and it doesn't involve a lot of research at least in the initial phase when you just have to rank on low difficulty keywords. In this phase usually what we do is study the top 5 ranking blogs on the particular keyword and make sure that we include more content and more subheadings then them. Also we try to find opportunities to include tables or charts wherever possible, we include good quality images(original if possible) and at this stage internal linking is very very important so we focus on that as well. In later stages although the basic strategy for framing the blogs remains same, overall content strategy varies a lot from business to business and requires a lot of strategizing depending on the brand positioning goals.
So after we were able to rank for low difficulty informational keywords and our Website DA reached a decent level due to our backlinking efforts, we started writing content around the fashion advice and common problems which people face related to hair in general. But as discussed earlier, we wanted to keep our brand positioning fashion centric, so even while writing about common problems we applied a positive and solution centric approach. We strategically placed internal links to our product pages in the content and tested popups with offers as well. Apart from this, we started guest posting as well at this stage. For finding websites for guest posting we used SEMrush’s backlink gap analysis tool and created a segregated list of blogs that we can reach out to based on their content quality and DA. By this time the store started generating decent revenue from ads and SEO so the client was completely onboard with reaching out to blogs for guest posting. Guest posting and overall strategic SEO application started generating a good amount of traffic for us and in 3-4 months the revenue generated due to SEO surpassed our Ads revenue as well.
Advantages of Combining SEO and Paid Ads
While Facebook Ads played a crucial role in launching the brand and driving initial traffic, SEO has emerged as the primary driver of sustainable growth. This approach allowed us to:
SEO efforts are always ongoing but we are really satisfied with the base that we have built and we are really looking forward to working with keywords with higher KD and generating more revenue with SEO In the upcoming months. Although we will keep running ads in future as well mostly for awareness purposes but the major revenue will be generated from our SEO efforts. Apart from this, as we mentioned earlier, we are looking to actively start the Social Media efforts as well from the next month itself. We will be looking to target Instagram and Tiktok in the initial phase and we believe in 2-3 months social media will contribute towards 25% of our revenue which will grow rapidly.
Thankyou For Reading!

2024.05.14 13:01 digital_wiz How We Scaled a Hair Extension Brand using Facebook Ads and SEO to give $80,000 ROI in 6 Months (Detailed Breakdown)

Expenses(6 months): Product Cost + Delivery cost + Team + Agency Fees + Ads Cost + Website Optimization + Packaging: $60000
Any guesses? Embark results soon! ~Bentley
Hello and good evening all!!
We got our sweet boy ,Bentley 4 months ago (wow does time fly) from the humane society. Little guy and his siblings were found in an abandoned car in Oklahoma :( He was one of 4 from the litter (two siblings were mainly white with black and one was brown with black) and they were unfortunately split up upon arrival. We were told Lab mix! Mind you, he was completely black and white when we adopted him. After a few weeks we noticed he was turning more brown (it’s as if every other hair on his body is brown then black, and he’s also developed a white spot on his tail and some stray whites on his back). Our first thoughts when we first got him was lab/pit, but our minds were definitely shifted when his legs got SUPER long so we think Great Dane?? There was a point in time where the fur on his back was WAYYY darker and rougher than the rest of his body so we also thought Rhodesian ridgeback, but it’s not quite the same “Mohawk” style they have and it’s not as noticeable anymore. We have our Embark results coming back “within the next week or two” so I’ll definitely update you all, but this is what I think. What are your thoughts? :)
Lab, Great Dane, German short haired pointer, and Doberman!
My wife thinks Lab, Dane, German short haired pointer and pitbull
My mom thinks Lab, Dane, and Rhodesian ridgeback
I’ve included some funny/derpy, baby, top shots, and a current picture of our funny and loving guy❤️

2024.05.13 15:15 a-j-88 Revwood Plus Elderwood maintenance

So after my last post and further research, I think the Mohawk Revwood Plus sounds like the product I would like to go with. I really like the Elderwood Aged Copper Oak (planning to order one box to get a better look). From the pictures online I see of the Elderwood line, it looks like it has more of a plank look and beveled edges and my concern is whether that makes it more difficult to keep clean and more likely to attract dirt/dust in crevices, especially using a dark color. Does anyone have experience with this product and let me know if that is the case?

2024.05.13 12:12 Wonder_Leslie How to make my hair less flat

My hair is kind of wavy and ever since I cut it short I have been trying to experiment with some hairstyle. My sister suggested me to use mousse to "define the shape better" (her words), but it's still very flat and I don't know how to make it a little more like the second picture. (I know the guy in the photo probably has longer hair than me, but I don't want his exact same style, just something similar (that isn't flat and doesn't stick to my forehead))

2024.05.13 11:03 Effective-Ice-2623 How are human hair weaves attached?

How are human hair weaves attached?
Human hair weaves are typically attached to natural hair in a few different ways, and the method used can vary based on personal preference, hair type, and the desired result. Here are some common methods for attaching human hair weaves:
https://preview.redd.it/mhh1ovbws50d1.jpg?width=564&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7dfdf909eb805e7086f01d6760e50ef1c9e0f5f1
Sewing or Stitching:
This techniques involves braiding the natural hair into cornrows, and then sewing the weft of the hair weave onto the braids using a needle and thread. This is a popular and long-lasting method but should be done carefully to avoid damage to the natural hair.
Gluing:
Hair weaves can be attached using a specially formulated hair glue or adhesive. Small sections of the weft are glued close to the scalp, usually onto braids or a cap. This method is quicker than sewing but may not be as long-lasting, and removing the glue can be challenging.
Clipping or Taping:
Some hair weaves come with clips or tapes attached to the weft. These can be clipped or taped onto the natural hair. This method is convenient as it allows for easy removal and reattachment.
Bonding:
Bonding involves using a special hair bonding glue to add the weft to the natural hair. The glue is applied to the weft and then pressed onto the natural hair. It's essential to use a high-quality glue to avoid damage and to follow proper removal procedures.
Micro-Linking or Micro-Ring:
Small metal or silicone rings are used to attach the weft to small sections of natural hair. This method is popular because it doesn't involve heat or adhesives, reducing the risk of damage.
Fusion or Hot Fusion:
This method uses a hot tool to bond individual strands of the hair weave with small sections of natural hair. It provides a more natural look, but it needs to careful application to prevent damage to the natural hair and scalp.
It's crucial to note that while hair weaves can be a versatile and convenient way to change your hairstyle, improper attachment or maintenance can lead to damage and hair loss.

2024.05.13 09:27 AdSame8810 Fiancé did something , now I am getting a cold feet before the wedding.

So it involves my MIL in a way. She is a person who doesn’t do anything to look good. Very simple and mild get up whenever she goes out and it does match her tbh. But lately I have been asking her to change her get up for the wedding, maybe go to a parlour together, getting a hairstylist for the wedding. She is shy and denying it and I get it where all these come from. Yesterday, I found a DIL-MIL picture of someone I follow on Instagram and I showed it to my fiancé “saying that’s a MIL wow ngl I want my MIL same as her” which I accept came of as mean to him. I planned on showing it to my MIL as a inspo of her hairstyle on our wedding.
My fiancé got so pissed, he felt that I was insulting his mom , took a screenshot of the conversation and sent it to my dad saying I have been pinching him about his mom looks and get ups since a long time now. I was shocked to my core. Because I had no such intentions. I sent it to him and forgot about it too. I felt so hurt because he involved my parents in it. We fought a lot, so much that he told me I am a self obsessed person. Idk is something actually wrong with me or this is actually something wrong that I did. I am not able to wrap my head around the fact that he involved my parents in it. FYI it’s a love marriage, in a relationship with him since last 4 years.

2024.05.13 03:49 No_Recognition7135 Help - new blonde

TLDR: I have no idea how to make my hair feel like my hair again now that I've gone blonde. It feels almost sticky on non wash days. Any ideas?

I have enjoyed coloring my hair for many years, but I've always been really lazy about it. I always go darker so when my hair starts to grow, it looks more natural and I don't have to worry so much about upkeep. I've changed my hairstyle a lot over the years, too, but usually end up with the same, chin to shoulder length bob with bangs of some kind.
I never really had any hair care education. I have very straight, fine, medium thickness, medium brown hair. For a long time, my routine was wash, brush, go. I am a single parent of a special needs child with a full time job. I wake up early, shower, make sure my kid is on the bus, go to work, come home, and spend time with my kid until bedtime when I crash. I have no time alone. It also didn't help that I was struggling with mental illness (still am but it's much more controlled) so I really didn't care.
A few years ago, I shaved my head. All the hair on my head now has never been touched by anything stronger than my shampoo. I never blow dried and I never used hairspray. I've also never had any body to my hair.
Fast forward to a couple months ago. I decided I wanted to color my hair again. I looked over pictures, spent time trying to decide what I want. I finally landed on going lighter since I've never done it before, and it would give me a good base to add more "fun" colors (pink tint, orange, something like that). I was fully aware going into it that my routine was going to change. I made the appointment, though I made the wrong kind of appointment, so there wasn't enough time to do the whole thing. She essentially did a partial highlight all over the top layers of my hair. I absolutely love it. I spent most of the appointment asking for some basic tips to help keep my hair as long as possible until my next appointment.
What I was not prepared for was how different my hair was going to feel. I figured it would be drier, but I wasn't entirely sure what that actually meant.
My hair care routine is different. I don't wash as often. I use purple shampoo once a week. I use a hair mask once a week. I wash twice a week. I blow dry most of the way, brush, then finish. In the morning, I brush and use a little texture spray. On non wash days, I use dry shampoo at night. I haven't really gotten much into styling yet, I'm just trying to learn how to keep it looking healthy and keep the color.
The major problem I'm running into is that my hair feels... sticky, I guess, for lack of a better word. On non wash days, it doesn't brush out very well, I try to be gentle and patient about it. I can't run my fingers through my hair like I always used to do, it's a stress tick and it's weird not being able to do it. It's got a lot more body now, which I love, and I love the color. I just wish it FELT better.
Long story long, I am looking for tips to get my hair to feel better on non wash days. Or at least knowing if this is just my life now haha. I have zero frame of reference for even where to begin.
Attached are some photos. The orange blazer is right before I got it colored. The black and white striped shirt is right after washing. The white and pink shirt is day two hair. The black and gray is day four hair. I rarely go out on day four so I don't usually do anything to it, today was my first time actually doing "day four hair."
I'm sorry for the super long post. One of my major flaws is being long winded haha!

Need help finding cc: hair and sliders (or presets)
Hello! I want to recreate a few characters from Dungeon Meshi. Now, I want to create Thistle as a sim, but it's hard to find his hair with *bangs*: I'm looking for a hairstyle up in a bun with a braid, or with a low braid.
I would also appreciate recommendations on presets or sliders to make it shorter in height or with a "childish" build. In my creation he looks like a very tanned white-haired lumberjack.
For his face, I've been looking for presets but for some reason they deform the sim's face in a very strange way...
Here is a picture of the character I'm talking about.

2024.05.12 18:50 laresistance_89 Can a 152 cm girl be Soft Classic?

I'm 152 cms tall, which is pretty short, but I can't really identify with any gamine type, maybe a little bit of Soft gamine but then not completely. I was looking at pictures trying to figure out and I think Soft classic does fit me more? But upon reading more articles said that soft classics are usually 5'4-5'7 (average height). So can I be soft classic or am I likely to be soft gamine?
Why I don't think I'm a gamine inspite of being really short (4'11-5'0):
I don't look good in high collars or anything high neck. I look best when my neck and shoulders are free.
I look best in clean, unbroken lines with waist emphasis. Can't handle excess prints or detail.
I used to think I looked best in short hair and had that hairstyle for many years, then I grew it out during lockdown almost to my waist (where the boob ends) and got soo many compliments saying that this hairstyle suits me much better and I actually agree.
There are so many things like that. And yet many things I read said that soft classics are never petite!
Ofc I may be another type completely. I'm still figuring it out.

Please be 32-45 if you're going to message me.
Me: https://imgur.com/a/W9O0uUj
A bit about me: I love old school turn based jrpg's (SaGa Frontier, Chrono Trigger, Wild Arms, I can go on) and am currently replaying Dragon Quest XI as well as a fresh game of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, tabletop rpg's (D&D, 7th Sea, Desolation etc.), and music (such as stoner metal/rock, hair metal, some hip-hop, although I like many things).
For the boring stuff: No kids, never married. I work from home and spend my days working on reports. More interesting stuff: I am a dog mom (her name is Honey Havok) and snake lover (all animals, really), liberal, love to cook, a bit of a wrestling mark (AEW, GCW, NJPW, etc.), and love to learn new things.
The real stuff: I am demi/asexual, and have depression and anxiety. This means I am not always the easiest woman to deal with and my moods can fluctuate. I try not to take my feelings out on others though, I'm just a bit of a crybaby. I am currently living in MA although not exactly married to the area. I'm thinking of moving back to NH eventually.
In general, I am pretty laid back, have an odd sense of humor (give me all your questionable memes, dad jokes and dark humor). I'm also a little spooky in that I love taxidermy and wet specimens. I don't have a huge collection (yet) but it's growing slowly.
As for the kind of men I enjoy...I tend to like them nerdy, strong, and even possibly intimidating. Tattoos are a plus as is a well-kept, very short beard. Mohawks are one of my weaknesses. I also greatly value good communication skills and a sense of humor. I would like for us to be able to express ourselves without fear of judgement and be able to laugh at the absurdity of life together. I love the written word and appreciate men that are intelligent, witty, and able to participate in a little banter. Make me fall for your words and mind.
I am ideally looking for a non-smoking 30+ nerdy and/or alt guy with a good personality, similar interests, is in or near the US (possibly open to someone who would relocate to the northeast), and who is open to something serious after we get to know each other and build up a close friendship. However, I am open to friendship as well, just let me know.
If anything in my post sparks your interest; feel free to message me with a little about yourself, a picture so I can put a face to the name, and why you chose to message me. Bonus Points for dog or reptile pictures. Low effort messages will be ignored.

2024.05.12 16:35 Anniewaitsbutnot4me Victim, Main Character Syndrome, and an Old Enemy Plan my Wedding.

I (36 F) married my husband 13 years ago. I am a product of a divorced family and he a single mom. Growing up, my dad had full custody of me and I would visit my mom every school break (we were a year round school system). As I got older, my mom began using my toxic relationship with my stepmom to gaslight me into moving in with her when I was old enough per state law. I was tired of being treated like less than human by my stepmom and finally agreed to go live with my mom at 15. She then proceeded to use me as a bargaining chip against my father and spent most of her time and energy on my half siblings.
Fast forward 9 years and I am engaged to a wonderful man. The only problem was my MIL. My husband is an only child with a single mom who had a very hard time letting go. (There were 8 kids in my family including half siblings and step siblings so I was not used to all the attention being focused on one kid). His mom did not have a lot of money and couldn’t help out with the wedding. My dad and mom decided they would split costs between them.
We were doing a small, less expensive wedding on my grandpa’s farm. The restaurant I worked at catered my wedding dinner, my older sister had taken photography classes and was going to take our wedding photos, my brother was officiating, and my uncle was the DJ so those expenses were zero. We needed a tent, tables and chairs, decorations, and my dress and flowers.
My mother, having main character syndrome, wanted to be sure she bought something for my wedding before my dad could. We went dress shopping to one store. We were really only looking for bridesmaids dresses but my mom had me try on a few wedding dresses “just for fun”. There was a dress I liked, but wasn’t 100% sure I wanted it. I told her to see if they could hold it for a few days while we went to a few other dress stores just in case. She said she would and took the dress out while I was getting dressed.
I Walked out to find she had bought the dress. When I tried to protest she said she was paying for it so she could decide for me. I’m very non confrontational and didn’t want to argue. The dress was pretty, but not what I had my heart set on.
The next day, I get a text from MIL playing her role as the victim. She said that I was a terrible person for not including her in the purchase of my dress and she should have been there. I tried to respond that I didn’t know we were actually buying a dress that day and was only supposed to be for bridesmaid’s dresses. She was unhappy but said okay.
My dad and stepmom were oblivious to all of this because they lived in the other side of the country. They were very helpful. My stepmom and I had built a relationship by that point and we were getting along well. She paid for me to fly out and helped me make decorations. Her and my father rented a large beautiful tent for our reception on the farm. It cost more than my dress for these purchases and my mom began to flip out because I was HER daughter. She tried to convince me to cancel the tent and do it in a barn. Her reason was that it might rain. She said to use the barn ecause it was so beautiful and the open slats in the roof were perfect to see stars through. I pointed out that was less rainproof than a tent and she got angry. Meanwhile, my mother is law was angry that she didn’t get to fly across the country on my dad’s dime to help make decorations. I was “leaving her out” even though I sent daily pictures and updates.
My favorite flowers are Cala Lillies but I am allergic to many flowers so I wanted to go the fake flower route. My stepmom created this beautiful bouquet for me that looked so real. My mom did NOT like that and had a real bouquet of roses made telling me that roses were more bridal and fake flowers were ugly. I tried to argue with her and my stepmom told me it wasn’t worth it and said I could use her bouquet to toss and my mom’s to carry. I was chased by bees because of this. My MIL told my husband that she didn’t like any of our decorations and said she did not want to hold fake Cala Lillie’s. I told her that she gets no flowers then.
My mom also did NOT like that she wasn’t in the wedding party like my sisters so she insisted that my dad and her would walk me down the aisle or she would cause a scene. My dad is non confrontational as well and so we let it happen.
Fast forward to the wedding morning. My mom was supposed to do my hair because she does really good hairstyles and one of my sisters was doing everyone’s makeup because she is amazing at it. My mom finally shows up in a bathrobe and wet hair. She tells me that she isn’t going to be able to spend a lot of time on my hair because she needed to get ready. She took 10 minutes to put it in a bun with some curls. Then she stopped my sister from doing my maid of honor’s makeup so she could get hers done. I was fuming but it was too late to find someone else so we made due. My stepmom came down to help with some of the hair and makeup for my bridesmaids. The bridal party spent the night at the venue at my grandpas house so we could get ready quickly together. We told my MIL to be at the house at 10:30 for pictures. She didn’t turn up until 11:15 and so she missed almost all of the pictures. She then texted me on our honeymoon to complain she didn’t get any of the pictures she wanted and how dare I take those moments away from her and her baby boy. I turned off my phone.
The wedding was beautiful and turned out great but I was so ready for it to be over so I wouldn’t have to deal with any of it anymore. I was over the drama.
One note of hilarity is that my mom, my stepmom, and my MIL all showed up in the same dress because they refused to talk to each other. Guess it was a popular MIL dress that year.
This is just one event in my crazy life. I have many more from my childhood to the birth of my children.
