So, I have recently run into this issue, and I wanted to hear other's thoughts on it. I don't use Abnb incredibly frequently, but I would say somewhere on average around once a month, and I have been an active use with a full profile, 100% positive reviews, picture, etc. for about 8-9 years now. Only very recently for me, meaning just the last booking I made and completed, has my ID been requested to be verified. I thought it odd, and quite honestly, I was uncomfortable with it, but went through the process so I could complete the booking process at the time. It was only after that I found out that they store your ID on their servers indefinitely. This is a huge risk to me. There are so many data breaches these days (the most recent that I have heard is Dell having 24 million accounts with them breached) that the risk of storing an ID like the type the Abnb requires on their servers indefinitely is extremely high and unsafe. If their servers are breached, millions of people will be at risk of having their identities stolen. This says nothing of the risk that the company opens themselves up to with it.
With that in mind, I went looking for a way to remove my ID as required I be able to do by law. And sure enough, I found it, and was able to remove it. Okay, fine, sort of. During the process of removal, I am essentially told that by removing it, I will have to verify my identity AGAIN if I ever book again. Come on, Abnb, did you just verify me, or not? Am I as a person and my association with my account, and my CC info, etc. all going to change completely all the sudden that you need to verify me with an ID again? It is completely illogical, but that's besides the point here.
So, I recently go to book again, and sure enough, I am requested to submit my ID AGAIN. I contact them to see if there is any other alternative method of verification offered. Nope, there is not. Okay, so I guess I go through it again, and just remove my ID after submitting like before. However, when I try to do that, they have changed their policy (in what I believe to be a violation of Federal law) to where they won't let me remove it for 90 days after the last reservation has ended. I am absolutely not comfortable with that for reasons outlined, so I cancelled the reservation. But now they are still refusing to remove my ID even though I don't have a reservation any longer putting me at risk for nothing.
Their ID policy is a huge identity theft risk for everyone. It is also illogical. I wouldn't have an issue with it if the verification process checked an ID once for an account (or even on a yearly basis or with the ID's expiration date), and then deleted it from their servers. There is no real reason or need to hold onto.
Anyone else stop using Abnb because of this? Or sees it as the risk that I do? Curious to hear other's thoughts on this.

Hello,
I want to get my NL certification as it would be useful for my summer job but I have a couple of questions in my circumstance.
I have passed my Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, and SFA w/ CPR all in January 2020. Are any of these certifications still up to date?
When registering for a NL course, they require a few prerequisites. If my certifications are expired, are they still valid prerequisites so I can enroll in the course or would I have to recertify my expired prerequisites first before I enroll into NL.
Any help would be great. Thank you.

An arc of purple lightning flashed across the night sky of the Boneyard, splitting the dark sky in twain as Capucine trudged across the ashy wastes of the realm. A cold gale ripped through the land, chilling the warrior to the bone, yet after centuries of time living in the Rot’s home realm, it felt identical to the ocean breeze that graced her every evening of her monastic childhood. Anxious, she fiddled with her leather armor, tightening every strap and support to make sure they were all in the right positions. She double checked that her sheath was properly tied to her belt, and that the steel sword within was sharp and clean.
He would catch up to her sooner or later, almost certainly before she made it to the portal. It wasn’t hard to pick that fact up. The Boneyard always became a little rougher when he wasn’t happy. She’d endeavored to spare him a difficult conversation, but perhaps that was too optimistic a hope. He was smart for someone his age, even if he’d made such a grave mistake.
Perhaps she was trying to spare herself the labor of having a conversation, rather than trying to keep the adolescent Avatar’s emotions in check. Perhaps she was just running from her problems, something she couldn’t remember ever doing before. Perhaps her ambitions to steer the young Avatar towards better decisions was the wrong choice on her part.
…No. Her advice was invaluable, she knew that much, and William Holland took that advice well. She just wasn’t in much of a position to give advice anymore.
Climbing atop an gray, dusty hill, Capucine gazed at the portal back to the physical world, composed of a miasma of swirling bones and inky fluids. To the unadjusted nose, it smelled absolutely foul, but to Capucine it smelled no different than the rest of the Boneyard. This was her ticket back, to somewhere where she’d do… something.
She didn’t know what that something was. In fact, she felt nauseous at the idea of wandering the world for centuries yet again with no real goal or purpose, though when considering the alternative, Capucine was ready to step right through the portal, even if her reason for leaving was so small in the grand scheme of things.
Breathless, Capucine took one step towards the portal, only for a boom of thunder to shake the realm. Capucine stopped dead in her tracks, sighing. William didn’t need to say anything to get her attention, as she turned around, coming face to face with the young Avatar.
He’d grown quite a bit in the three years she’d been advising him. His mane of red hair had regained some of its color, and across his pale face stood the beginnings of a beard, with bits of pronounced stubble around his chin and above his lips. He remained as gaunt as ever, yet he’d also grown much taller since his beginning as the Rot’s leader. He looked Capucine in the eyes, keeping his expression as blank as possible, “I got your note.”
Capucine narrowed her eyes, “So you did.”
William’s bottom lip quivered, “There’s no way I can change your mind…is there?”
“Not that I can see,” Capucine remarked.
William’s head drifted to the side as he attempted to avert his gaze, hiding his eyes from Capucine behind his wild hair. He choked back something, maybe a sob, “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said what I said. It was a mistake.”
Capucine took a step forward, feeling the urge to console the boy, yet as she reached out towards him, she found herself frozen by trepidation. She was not a woman of gentle words, and this was a situation that called for them. Rescinding her hand, she stepped back towards the portal, “What’s done is done. I do not hate you, William Arcane, but I cannot stay here.”
Capucine turned her back on William, readying herself to step through the portal. She took one step, then another before William spoke once more, “Tefé.”
Capucine stopped, electing not to turn back and face the young Avatar. Realizing that she was waiting for him to continue, William spoke again, “My sister. I know her, she’s got a good heart, but she’s not like me. She’s not an Avatar. She could always use someone to watch her back.”
For a moment, Capucine did not answer, and the silence seemed to push William to take a few steps back. Turning, he began to walk away, unable to think of much else to say, when Capucine finally answered back, “If she is the sister of William Arcane…then I know her to be someone of good character. Your advice is invaluable, Avatar. Thank you.”
Without another word, Capucine stepped through the portal, disappearing from the Boneyard. William stared at the portal for what felt like hours before he finally shuddered, his shaky breathing accompanied by a single tear that froze up on its way down his cheek, stopping short as a bead of ice just before it fell off of his jaw.

“So you’re here because my brother suggested it?”
“That’s correct.”
Capucine answered Tefé’s inquiry in a dry manner, keeping most of her focus on cleaning the gasoline off her sword with a rag. She sat upon the corpse of the formerly living infected tree, using it as a comfortable log of sorts while Maxine and Tefé remained in their canoe, having managed to dock it by tying it to a nearby set of protruding roots. It was about noon now, and the Florida heat had become unbearable. Maxine wiped her forehead, expecting that she’d probably be dead without the trees as a shield from the sun.
Tefé rubbed her throat, recovering from the vice grip of the tree, “I…how is he? He’s not in trouble is he?”
“Far from it. Your brother is doing better than most. He’s got a keen mind for leadership, and the Rot endures with him as its head,” Capucine sheathed her sword. “He doesn’t need my advice anymore, and I do the world no favors remaining at his side. If I am to continue the preservation of a better world, then it’s best I accompany you instead.”
Tefé grumbled a little, but also couldn’t help but smile, “So the little rascal thinks I need a hand, huh? Thinks I need advice.”
Tefé smirked, then looked up at Capucine, “Got any words of wisdom for me?”
Capucine looked down at the tree carcass, then back at Tefé, “Don’t get grabbed by monstrous trees.”
Tefé swallowed, “Yeah…sound advice.”
Maxine stared at the water, noting that its viscosity had remained unchanged, “Uh…guys? I think there are more gasoline trees somewhere out there. I feel like it would’ve cleared up at least a little bit.”
Capucine jumped into the canoe, breaking the rope keeping it moored with her bare hands, “Then we find the source of the infestation, and remove it.”
Maxine and Tefé didn’t do anything to impede Capucine’s actions, though they were certainly taken aback by this old English era woman taking charge of their mission. Without a word, Capucine grabbed a paddle and began rowing upstream, her toned build making what was a laborious task for Tefé effortless. The trio moved upstream at a rapid pace, with Capucine barely making a single grunt or noise as she paddled onward. As the hours went by, the water to gasoline ratio of the river continued to tip in the gasoline’s favor, to the point that eventually Capucine looked like she was putting real effort into her paddling.
Tefé stared at the woman, unsure of what to make of her, “So…Capucine?”
“Yes?”
“I know your name, I know you’ve been…advising my brother. What else do you do? What’s your story?”
Capucine frowned, “To be brief…I was born over a thousand years ago in Lindisfarne Abbey. What happened after is a personal matter, and one I’d rather not discuss. Similarly, discussing how I came to be immortal, and what I’ve done in the many centuries afterwards would doubtlessly be a fruitless and boring exercise. That energy is better spent rowing.”
Tefé raised an eyebrow, “Okay….then, why are you doing any of this? What drives you to help us?”
Capucine paused for a moment, allowing the canoe to slow in its approach upriver. Then, she snorted, a small smile forming as she began to paddle once more, “I’ve lived long enough to know this is a good place, a good world. I like it intact and alive, and I’d do whatever it takes to keep it that way.”
“Uh…good answer,” Tefé turned her attention to the rest of the forest, watching carefully for threats. Capucine was certainly blunt, and maybe a little scary looking, but from what she could tell the woman wasn’t much of a danger. If she wanted to learn more, she could do that after the case of Silver Springs was solved.
Maxine grimaced, staring at the thick gasoline they were rowing through, “What do you think is causing this stuff? The closest thing I can think of is the Rot but…part of me can’t put that picture together.”
“Because this is not the Rot’s doing. William is well aware of these kinds of problems, and manages them well. He would never allow something like this to escalate as far as it has,” Capucine grunted, her sheath rattling against the interior of the canoe. “This is something different.”
“Oil’s a fossil fuel, right?” Maxine asked, “Could there be any connection?”
“Perhaps, but this isn’t just oil, it’s gasoline. It’s processed,” Capucine grunted, the act of rowing becoming tougher. “Something is turning the oil into Gasoline. Maybe it’s the trees, maybe it’s something else.”
“But what force would do that? There’s definitely something magical going on about these things,” Maxine asked.
Capucine frowned, “I am…unsure. I’ve not heard of any force that pertains to these properties. Perhaps one of them has evolved. Such an occurrence is not unheard of; the Red does it all the time.”
“Or maybe…someone’s twisting a force into something it isn’t,” said Tefé. “Whatever it is, we’ll figure it out soon enough.”
Eventually, the boat rounded a corner, passing another infected tree. Maxine and Tefé readied themselves, only for Capucine to keep paddling, “Do not bother with them. They’re symptoms, not the cause.”
Maxine raised an eyebrow, “And the cause is….where?”
Capucine pointed down the river, and past a muddy, poisoned shore sat an entire row of the ailing cypresses, encircling a clearing of some kind. As the canoe pushed up against the mid, Capucine trudged out, making her way towards the clearing with her hand on her longsword’s hilt. The trees seemed to regard her, blatantly still conscious, yet they did not attack. Maxine and Tefé followed in trepidation, eyeing the trees in suspicion.
“Why aren’t they attacking?” Maxine asked.
“I don’t know,” Capucine remarked. “Perhaps they’re afraid.”
“Of you…or of something else?” Tefé wondered aloud.
As the three entered the clearing, they came across a sight none of them would have expected…a human heart.
It laid in the mud, rooted by cartilage that snaked its way beneath the earth. It beat with a satisfying rhythm, pulsating as if it still rested inside the body of a living man. A thick liquid permeated the mud, shifting outward from the heart.
Gasoline.
Capucine drew her sword, preparing to stab the heart with it. Eyes wide, Maxine jumped in front of her, “Woah woah woah, what are you doing?!”
“I’m removing the problem,” Capucine remarked.
“But…but…we don’t know what this thing even is?”
Capucine sneered at Maxine, “Is it not obvious? Someone or something has perverted an object of the Red, and that infection is spreading to the Green. With its removal, this area can begin healing.”
“How can you know that for sure? I’m the Avatar of the Red, and I can’t feel any trace of the Red in there,” Maxine exclaimed.
“Then the corruption of the object has completely overridden its connection to the Red. All the more reason to destroy it.”
Maxine whirled around, staring at Tefé for help. Tefé opened her mouth to protest, yet she was unsure of how to proceed. On the one hand, the Green was suffering, this place was suffering. Getting rid of the heart seemed like the right answer, yet Maxine was right as well. They knew practically nothing about this heart, and if the trees weren’t attacking them, maybe it was an invitation to learn more.
Before she could voice her opinion on one approach or the other though, a new voice made itself known, a raspy, texan accent that came from vocal chords that didn’t realize they were long past their expiration date.
“Well, if you’d let me speak…I’d love to tell you why I deserve to live!”
The trio assumed defensive stances as the ground rumbled around the heart, at which point a dozen or so ribs began to poke out of the mud around the heart, followed by rotten yet well preserved flesh. The heart and ribs rose with the flesh, revealing a man with an open chest as he picked himself up from out of the mud. He was wearing an old coat and pants, and wore only one sock on his feet. Inconsistent, matted hair hung from his head, covered up slightly by a ruined cowboy hat. An ugly stubble dotted his cheeks, paired with yellow teeth and milky white eyes. He smiled, raising what looked to be an old revolver to his chin to scratch it with the barrel. With the other hand, he reached out to shake any of the trio’s hands, “Howdy folks. Pale Wanderer, representing the Parliament of Gears…how are you doing this fine day?”
The trio looked at each other in confusion, then Capucine spoke, “What are you? Are you the cause of the Malady plaguing this land.”
“Well…I wouldn’t call it a malady per-se! More of a necessary sacrifice.” The Pale Wanderer tipped his hat up. “As for what I am? Well honey…I’m a crusader. A force meant to alleviate suffering, and right now? That suffering is…well, it’s not exactly something any of the flora or fauna here really give a shit about.”
“And what’s that?” Tefé asked.
“Well…it’s a bit of a logistical nightmare to explain, but it starts with oil!” The Pale Wanderer gestured towards the ground. “We’re a car based society, here in the United States I mean! Trouble is, gas prices are fuckin’ outrageous these days, right?”
Capucine narrowed her eyes, “I do not see how that should concern us.”
“I’m not finished!” The Pale Wanderer remarked. “The average American has to pay an arm and a leg for gas nowadays, and they need gas if they want to get anywhere. Have a job, wanna see family, need to make a trip to the grocery store? Need to pay for gas if you wanna to any of that! Trouble is, gas comes from oil, and oil? It’s getting rarer by the minute…that’s why I made this place!”
The Pale Wanderer raised his arms, gesturing to the gasoline laced mud and the producing trees, “Think about it! More Gasoline means the market price of Gasoline’s gonna go down, which means gas is cheaper for everyone! At least, I think that’s how it works! Plus, my Gas is A+ quality, even comes in Diesel!”
As The Pale Wanderer continued on about his tirade on Gas prices, Maxine and Tefé shared a confused glance at each other. They’d never encountered something like this before, something this unusual, this keyed in and calculated in purpose yet scattershot in reasoning. The only thing two of them seemed to fixate on though was something the Pale Wanderer said when he introduced himself.
The Parliament of Gears.
Tefé stepped forward, “You said you were part of the Parliament of Gears? What is that? I’ve never heard of them.”
“Oh, That’s cause we’re new on the block, sweetie, but glad to be here,” The Pale Wanderer remarked. “Not qualified to sell them overall though, you’ll have to talk to marketing for that.”
“Enough!” Capucine declared, holding the point of the sword at the Pale Wanderer. “Your reasons for poisoning this place are simplistic and needless. Leave, or I will make you leave!”
The Pale Wanderer raised an eyebrow, “See, now I don’t like comments like that! We’re all just having a lovely discussion and now all you wanna do is escalate! Things don’t have to be this way! Maybe we can work something out?”
Tefé glanced between Capucine and the Pale Wanderer, making an educated guess that Capucine wasn’t the type to back down in these sorts of situations. Furthermore, she had a point. This place was suffering, and no matter the Pale Wanderer’s intentions, that was something that wouldn’t stand, “We don’t want to fight you, but what you’re doing is…horrifying. You’re killing everything around here for…Gasoline! We can’t stand by and let that happen.”
The Pale Wanderer glanced at Tefé, a glum look on his face. Maxine seemed to be holder her breath somewhat, but there was no question that she was on Tefé and Capucine’s side. Sighing, The Pale Wanderer scratched his thigh with his gun, “So that’s how it is?”
Capucine’s grip on her sword tightened, “That’s how it is.”
The Pale Wanderer pursed his lips, “...Well, if we’ve got no more words to share…I guess we better hop to it.”
The wanderer raised his revolver, only for Capucine to surge forward at lightning speed, piercing him in the heart with her sword. For a moment, he was still, motionless, and Capucine stared him dead in the eyes. Then, he shifted, and after meeting her gaze, he began to laugh, his guffawing causing gasoline to spurt from his heart and onto Capucine’s sword and armor, “Hah! Good try!”
Capucine attempted to back away from the Wanderer, only for him to grab her wrist, keeping her and the sword wedged firmly in his body. Raising his weapon, he prepared to put a bullet in Capucine’s eyes, only for her to deliver a swift fist to his arm, knocking the gun out of his hands. Smiling, he took advantage of his newly freed hand, grabbing her by the throat and squeezing tight. As Capucine struggled for air, the Wanderer could only hoot and holler, “Whooo-weeee! We’re getting down to it now!”
Maxine and Tefé rushed to help the ancient warrior, only for a mob of living trees to encroach upon them, blocking their way while attempting to grab or smash them with their heavy branched arms. Maxine dove to the left, dodging the crushing slam of one tree, while Tefé slipped through the roots of another, narrowly avoiding being picked up again. Separated, the two tried to get a read on each other while avoiding harm, yet it was difficult for either of them to really do anything to help Capucine.
They were both far from the Red and the Green’s safety. No animal would go anywhere near the Pale Wanderer, meaning Maxine’s powers were utterly neutered. Similarly, there was no living plant life near the battlefield, meaning Tefé couldn’t use her powers either. If they wanted to get out of this, they would need to think outside the box.
And that’s when Tefé spotted the Wanderer’s revolver sitting in the mud, and a wild idea crossed her mind as she scanned it and the gasoline laden ground around it. She glanced at Maxine, then to the gun, and Maxine seemed to pick up on what she was thinking. It was a gambit, an insane gambit, but without much power to draw on, it might be their only shot.
Together, the two began to race for the gun, trying desperately to keep out of the reach of the trees. Tefé tried to get there quickly, yet she found herself pursued by a half dozen trees, pressured by their presence. Maxine was closer, and managed to pick up the gun as Tefé was halfway over, only for a tree to come barreling towards her. She whirled around to run, only to snag her foot on a dead root, causing her to trip and fall. Afraid of losing their one chance at Victory, Maxine shared a split second look with Tefé before throwing the gun towards the Pale Wanderer, just as the tree came down on her. It stretched out its arms, its branches ensnaring her and trapping her in place.
Her mind in overdrive, Tefé pivoted and raced for the Pale Wanderer, leaping over the swinging branches of another tree in order to catch the gun. Capucine gasped for air, her eyes glazing over as the Wanderer choked the life out of her, laughing like a madman. With the trees about to grab her, Tefé leapt for the Wanderer’s back, looping one arm around his neck to hold on while planting the gun’s barrel against the gasoline soaked sword, “Stop!”
The trees froze in place, including the one holding Maxine captive. The Pale Wanderer raised his eyebrow, loosening his grip on Capucine and allowing her to breath, “What’s this now? Ready to call it quits?”
Tefé gritted her teeth, “I’m ready to make a deal, and if you refuse, I’ll blow us all sky high! Even you won’t survive that, will you?”
“The hell’re you…” The Pale Wanderer looked down at the gun planted against the sword, and finally realized what was at stake. There was a reason smoking a cigarette at a gas station was a stupid idea, and Tefé was willing to demonstrate. A bullet crashing against steel would cause sparks, and sparks can light many fires, especially ones where the ground was soaked in gasoline. She’s set miles of forest on fire, to nuke the entire place from the ground up….and from the tone of her words, the Wanderer knew Tefé meant it, “Ohhhhh…Clever girl….Ha! So, you’ve got me. What do you want from me?”
Tefé let out a grunt of exhaustion, “I want you…to fuck off and never come back here. Got it?”
The Wanderer chuckled, then winked at Capucine, letting go of her and allowing her to pull out the sword, “Well then, a deal’s a deal.”
Snapping his fingers, The Wanderer watched as every tree around him began to dissolve into an inky ooze, including the one holding onto Maxine, who became drencheds in the stuff. Similarly, the Wanderer himself began to dissolve, though much more slowly. As he sank into the earth, he looked up at Tefé and Capucine, “This place’ll return to what it once was, but don’t count me out just yet. We’ll be seeing each other…oh, and keep the gun. Think of it as a gift from little ol’ me.”
Eventually, the Pale Wanderer was gone, not even his hat remaining, leaving Maxine, Tefé, and Capucine to stare at the spot he once occupied. The crisis at hand was solved, at least as far as they knew, but the problems were only just beginning.
A new force of nature was here, and it did not seem to be a peaceful one.

Just ate a yasso frozen Greek yogurt sandwich that was 6 months past expiration date. Didn’t notice until I finished the whole thing - and am very paranoid of getting sick or food poisoning.
What are the odds of getting sick from this? It honestly tasted normal maybe was just a bit harder.
Also is there anything I can do now to maybe prevent sickness after already eating it??
And if I do get sick - when do symptoms from dairy related food sickness usually set in?

Hi,
Never posted here before but I'm scared shitless and am procrastinating out of crippling fear. Context: I moved back to Texas in 2021 after a stint in the Midwest from 2017-2021. I bought a car off of my cousin in May 2017 that had Texas plates with a sticker that expired in Dec. 2017. In Missouri I never changed the plates or got registered in MO. I was (still am) poor, and nobody cared about plates or registration in St. Louis
Additionally, my driver's license expired while I was living in MO (expiration was back in 2020... I know >_<)
Flash-forward to now. I've been back in Houston for awhile, I've only ever had a Texas DL and now it's expired and so are my tags. I knew I was riding on borrowed time but anxiety stopped me from doing anything about it and now I'm under the gun because I have a court date that's a month from now.
So here's what happened:
I live in a densely populated area of Houston, and went to pick up coffee. A (very nice) cop stopped me and asked about my tags. I explained the above (not about my DL but about my tag) and said I barely drove (this is true, but irrelevant in the eyes of the law and mine as well).
For whatever reason I'm just so crippled by feeling like I'm in trouble that I set roadblocks for myself. This is the first time I've ever been pulled over.
TL/DR:
How do I renew my license in TX
Do I have to re-take a driver's test?
If so, does the car have to have updated tags (I need to know what to spend money on first)
How long will all of this take?
I am a 29 year old baby and I feel like shit about it. Please help with your advice. Thanks in advance.

Asking for a friend that they told me they just got terminated 2 weeks ago from Amazon prime now for attendance points or negative upt and they got a email to appeal but they can’t log in to their a to z alumni account because the temporary password code they got it doesn’t work or expire and her time ran out because it had to be done within 7 days of the date of the termination date they was at warehouse grocery associate and on that termination letter it said involuntary termination, and that they got a email from points management saying We can offer you a Resignation in Lieu of Termination at this time and you will be eligible for rehire in 90 days from the time the resignation is processed. What this means is that since you are not in good attendance standing you are being offered the chance to resign your position before the next step of termination is taken and I said I don’t really know anyone got any answer I would appreciate it.

I was getting so frustrated with uber earlier when I submitted my renewed insurance document because they kept rejecting it. At one point it said my name wasn't on the insurance document when it clearly was. I'm thinking "wtf uber???" I double checked the documents for all of the details and finally had to call support. I braced myself for the struggle that comes with uber support.
They guy was surprisingly upbeat helpful and super friendly. He asks for a few moments to look over the documents. He comes back fairly quickly with "I think I see your problem here. The dates are for the policy expiring today."
Apparently the dates were the one detail I did not check. The guy from support was chuckling to himself when we hung up as I'm apologizing for being an idiot before I go find the correct paperwork.
I upload the document with the correct dates and decide to call support to have them verify it. Again I get a super upbeat and friendly guy. He kinda laughs and takes the time to manually verify everything and now I'm good to keep delivering.
What I really want to know is WHY do I never ever get this kind of support when I'm on a delivery and have problems?? It's always someone I can barely understand, sounds far away, who is not very friendly or helpful.
The guys today were like the exact opposite of my previous experiences with uber support and while it was nice, it was weird. I wish I had an extension for them for future issues that may come up.

Hello all, just for some context my mom and Dad have been married for well over 35 years. To give some more context my father has Alzheimer’s and is very progressed in the disease. So to start the story out my mom was needing help on her iPad with her Venmo because her card had expired. To make a long story short I found her iMessages with a man and I read through a page of the text messages and she was clearly dating a man even to the point where she texted the man to not text her for a while. It was obvious to me that she sent that because she didn’t want me to see it. The text messages included the normal tropes of “I can’t wait to be in your arms” etc. The other thing that stings is she has been going on “trips” with her “friends” while she has had me and my brother look after my dad. The advice I really need is what should I do? I have not told anyone besides my buddies at work and my girlfriend, I don’t want to completely ruin everything family wise for my mom because before my dad progressed to where he is my mom was a very good mom and I still see the good person in there. Please help!

My sons (8) father passed away in February 2024. I opened the application for Survivors Benefits in Mar. My case manager advised that I needed to submit documentation proving paternity. I just never made my way to drop off these documents as I was busy being a freaking single mom. I also didn't think I needed to do it quickly.
I received a letter today (dated 4/30) stating that my son was denied Survivors Benefits because he's not the dependent or widow.
I'm really confused. Why would it be denied for this and not for failure to submit documentation proving paternity? Why was it denied at all? Does the application expire?
I'm going to call tomorrow morning, but all I have is Google and Reddit for now.

hello! im currently in the process of trying to get approved for another apartment before my current lease ends. the apartment im applying for sent over the rental verification and upon receiving it, my current apartment decided to send a semi passive aggressive email to me and my roommates saying that we need to send in a notice or request to swap roommates ASAP.
One, i’m not ending the current lease early, i’m just not renewing when it ends. i’ve already said that i was gonna cover the last months portion of rent since i’m gonna be moving mid june, lease ends july 11th, and its more than 30 days out from that date. why would i need to send a notice over 30 days out if the apartment hasn’t even approved my application yet?
Two, why would i need to find another roommate when i’m leaving when the lease ends? i waited till now to even start searching so i wont be charged for leaving early. i have no intention of continuing with my current roommates and just planned on notifying them around june 1st.
this seems wildly unprofessional, and im now afraid these apartments are gonna sabotage my chances for approval. i did my roommates a solid by covering june’s rent in the first place and staying on until it expires since im moving out the first week of june.
if it was rent they were worried about, they shouldve said that, but should i be worried about this potentially reflecting badly on myself with the other apartment?

I don’t want to drive to work whilst covered tonight and then drive home on 17/05 morning and find that my MOT is actually expired and get done for it.

FNaF 6 is mostly assumed by people to take place in 2023 because of HRY223, saying it means Henry 2023, the thing is, they ignore the most important detail of that text.
HRY223 is actually not written that way, is "HRY223...", what's the difference?
In the first option that most people use to argue FNaF 6 2023, the text is complete, saying 2023 as a last part of the text.
In the true and second option, the text is incomplete, it's not showing it all, Scott knew that people said that FNaF 3 took place in 2023 when it wasn't the case, so, he wanted to do a little trolling putting "HRY223..." It does say Henry (date), but the date is incomplete, so it's more of:
HRY 2/23/???? or Henry Febrary 23rd of ????, since the last part is missing.
So, if the date is not 2023, then when is it?
Using Fazbear Frights as a part of games timeline, we have an answer, since, and as I have stated before:

In Fetch, Greg describes the Location of Freddy's as the same as the FNaF 1 Location (MCI Location), which we know, was turned Into Jeffs Pizza in ITP.
So Fetch is before 2020. (Since ITP happens in 2020)
Taking in mind this and how TMIR1280 happens around 2 to 3 years after FFPS and how Fetch is before 2020, then:
As Fetch is, at latest, in December 2019 / January 2020, then, TMIR1280 happens in 2019 or 2018, so FFPS happens in 2017 or 2016 (2 to 3 years before TMIR1280)

So, with this in mind, FNaF 6 happens in 2016 or 2017.
But some people argue that FNaF 3 happens in 2023, how do I explain that?
FNaF 3 doesn't happen in 2023, happens in 2015.

FNaF 3

First of all, the steam description.

So, it mentions that it's 30 years after Freddy Fazbear's Pizza closed it's doors, which of the 3? Well, we can get to an easy answer with this.

So, the location was actually opened for quite a long time (discarding the location of the 87), the FNaF 1 location is the same as the location of the MCI, so it could be rather 2015 or 2022/2023 (later explaining).
So, which of both is it? Well, the text directly stated right after it explains it.

What does this tell us?

It was the Missing Children Incident location!
Now, let's talk about the source code.

What does this actually mean?
let me begin separating the text, because it's not "five nights at freddy's 30 years later only one" it has punctuation marks, so, what do they mean? To me, they look more as a title.

As it is a title, there's the name of the franchise, then the title of the game == (Title) (Name)
So, the important thing here is the fact that it's named "30 years later, only one" what could this mean?
I interpret it more like- "After 30 years, there's only one" only one what? Only one animatronic as the description of the game says.
At first there were only empty shells, a hand, a hook, an old paper-plate doll, but then a remarkable discovery was made...
The attraction now has one animatronic.
So, it's talking about that 30 after something, there's now one animatronic in Fazbear Frights.
This doesn't reveal anything.

The Real Value and the Logbook

I don't think this needs an explination, but here it comes. (reused text from an old post)

In the page 79 there is a cupon named "Pizza Party Pack" which costs 16 dollars, and Michael writted there "for real value, see page 61", if you remember right, the page 61 is where we get the "I" in the "my name" code, but for now, let's ignore that, because doing the same math, "5+4 = 9" and multiplaying it with 3 we get 27, so the real value is 27, right? yes, but that's kinda weard, because if we use an inflation calculator (or just do the math by ourselfs) we get that in 2023 it would cost 33.74 dollars, but that's logical, Scott made this book in 2017, the real value needs to be updated to the "present" day, Scott isn't a magician, he can't know how will go the inflation in 2023 being on 2017, and doing the math with 2017 insetead of 2023 we get almost the exact number, but it can't be right, like i said in another post the only dates where FNaF 3 can take place are 2015 and 2023, and like we see right here, it can't be in 2023, but wait, we are doing this taking in mind that FNaF 1 takes place in 1993, if we say that FNaF 1 takes place in 1992 then in 2015 is 27.00$.
Also in the book there are several references to things that only appeared in 2015 the MacBook Silver, the dabbing (but used as a meme) and more, so, even with this conclusion, the only possible way to this to work is if FNaF 3 takes place in 2015…

But I've seen people against the real value, and let me explain why they are wrong!

Let me debunk this properly.
Starting with...
Meta Logbook.
The fact that the logbook mentions the Springlocks doesn't even prove anything!
It just places it after Night 2 of FNaF 3.
The Phone Calls from FNaF 2 are never mentioned or even something at all on the Logbook, they know what happened in that local because of the rummors!
They knew about the Phone Calls from FNaF 1 because they were in that restaurant! and uh, Phone Guy kinda possessed the phone, if not, we wouldn't be literally getting PHONE CALLS on FNaF 1, since they are recordings, why ring the phone? That's because it's possessed by Phone Guy.
They could've just recorded those Phone Calls to make the logbook AFTER night 2.
Now, let's talk about th epost of Fantasctic-Bed3911.
FNaF 2 is NOT in summer, if we're gonna use the summer-job thing as confirmation, then FnaF 1 is in summer as the description of FNaF 1 states:

Welcome to your new summer job at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, where kids and parents alike come for entertainment and food as far as the eye can see! The main attraction is Freddy Fazbear, of course; and his two friends. They are animatronic robots, programmed to please the crowds! The robots' behavior has become somewhat unpredictable at night however, and it was much cheaper to hire you as a security guard than to find a repairman.

So it's more of a legal thing or a way to say "short-time job".
So, FNaF 1 is indeed in 1992, and since the Logbook has multiple references of it being at the same time as FNaF 3 (since we literally see the office and for stuff mentioned before), the real value is showing us that FNaF 3 is in 2015.

We spent 6 hours a night in Freddy’s for 5 nights (30 hours) and we get paid 120$ a WEEK, so it’s 4$ a hour (less than the minimum wage of USA, 7.25$ per hour), when is the only year that 4 dollars an hour is legal (in USA)? In 1990 the minimum wage was 3.80$, in 1991 it was raised to 4.25, so it can’t be in 1991, but from there to 1996 the minimum wage was raised to 5 bucks, so it’s in 1990, right? NO! There’s something else.
So, in the camera 04b we see the MCI newspapers, which if you see them correctly and compare them with the newspapers that we see on the beginning of the game and REAL newspapers we know that these aren’t actually newspapers from the 80s, they don’t actually seem to be actual newspapers at all, they seem more like an article from a web page, like- a transcription of the news to digital, so, they were researched in the internet, or something similar.
We know that this is the current pizzeria since is stated to be after the MCI or “after the tragedy that took place there many years ago” which implies that this is also the same restaurant of where the MCI happened, so this makes me think that this is the memory of Mike, these are actual things that Mike researched on internet to know more about his job maybe?
Remember that Mike used a computer to search that, he used the internet, according to Wikipedia and this Quora question, the internet was opened to the public in 1991, so FNaF 1 cannot be in 1990. But that would bring a lot of problems, for example, in 1992 the minimum wage was of 4.55$, so it can’t be there, or at any point after 1991… UNLESS, Following what the U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR says, if a person is under the age of 20 it can have the minimum wage but only 85%, but this expired in 1993, so, FNaF 1 is at any point from 1991 to 1993 and Mike is at maximum 20 years old.
It can be at any point in between those 3 years, so we don’t have a definitive answer for now… Or until FNaF 2…

So, FNaF 2 is directly a prequel of FNaF 1, since 2 takes place in 1987 and 1 is in 1991-1993. So, with the information that this game adds to the timeline, how can this help with FNaF 1?
Yeah i know what you might be thinking, “but how can this help?!?!”, pretty easy actually. FNaF 2 takes place in November of 1987, more specifically, 8th to 14th of November, November 8th is a SUNDAY. This shows us that the laboral week of Fazbear Entertainment is from Sunday to Thursday, but Jeremy and Fritz spent until Saturday.
So, FNaF 1 is in 1992. Finally, with this out of the way, i need to explain why does this can keep working on current timeline-
I know that there's still people saying that more recent information make clear that FNaF 1 is in 1993, but to that let me tell you something...
No it doesn't. like we can see thanks to TechnicalFNaF that in FNaF AR the "Faz-Facts" are NOT canon,, since the Illumix employee stated how they were written by Illumix and not Scott, and shouldn't be used for lore at all.

With that out of the way, let me talk about one of the MOST missinterpreted and missinformed fact of the franchise, in the FNaF Cook book, there's NO mention of 1993, Not in any page of the book, that's missinformation.
With that out of the way, let me tell you one of the most ignored pieces of information of the MOST LORE RELEVANT BOOK of this franchise...
Before going to it,, let me clarify something the Survival Logbook is indeed in FNaF 3, not in the nights, but AFTER the nights happen, how?
First of all, the Survival Logbook makes clear that it takes place on the week that Mike was there (also confirming that Mike was the Frightguard), we know this since the Logbooks night 2 to 5 title pages are in the FNaF 3 office, htat's obvious since we see how everything lines up perfectly, and the fact that we see foxy there makes clear too that Mike is Foxybully, so, upon that, the Logbook takes place in FNaF 3, but how?
The Logbook is directly a log to all the stuff that happened during your shift, bassicly it's literally a in-between nights thing, so it makes sense that Mike would have it and fill it with stuff in between the nights of FNaF 3...
Now...

2024.05.16 03:22 ButWhatOfGlen Cutting and testing 4x5 roll film (Tech Pan and ?)

Well since someone asked... Here goes. I found (and bought) 3 big rolls of expired film a while ago. I'm finally able to start this project and figured it should be documented.
2, 500' rolls of Tech Pan in sealed black plastic Kodak tubs, dated 1986, and 1, 1000' roll of mystery film. The large canister says 2000' of Panatomic X but it's been opened, there's about half the weight of a full 2000' roll in there, and masking tape saying otherwise.
I'm making a crude jig to slowly cut it all up into 4x5 frames, and also reroll them reversed so as to undo the tight curl I'm assuming the film will have after decades rolled up tight.
More details as they happen, if you folks are interested. So mash that like button, as the Tubers say.

2024.05.16 03:15 papaozu9 Unable to renew DL in CA with Asylum granted!

Too much stupidity going on even after asylum granted! My parent have to renew his DL every two years in the past 9 years because the valid date of EAD is two years and we have to renew while waiting for asylum interview, which is understandable. We were granted asylum two years ago(automatically obtain a new EAD for another two years) and applied for green card last year.
No one knows how long is the i-485 gonna take! Our DL is going to expire next month and I visited DMV 5 times in the past month(including today) with my parent and showed all the evidence(i-485 receipt, i-94, approval letter, ssn, and etc..) and even brought evidence from DHS that the law allow us to renew DL legally. The lady and her manager refused to renew and direct us to USCIS to approve our green card.
This is so stupid because even illegal immigrant are able to get a DL in CA last time I check, and we are not able to drive legally because of USCIS's processing time is taking FOREVER?
Does anyone have experience with this kind of situation? I know some states might be more flexible on this, I was able to get a 5-year DL in WA easily.

My boyfriend (20M) and I (23F) have been dating long distance for nearly 2 years now, our anniversary is coming up soon and things have been very difficult recently between us.
I think it started about 2 months ago when he had been trying to convince me to move in with him and his family. I considered it for a while but I ultimately ended up choosing to stay with my family because I'm in college and need the stability that staying with my family offers, and staying with his family has significant challenges of its own. Then he tried to get me to come visit him, but I told him since he didn't have a car yet and we wouldn't be able to do anything on our own without his dad driving us that we should just wait a month or two and visit then. At that point, he said that he would not be moving in with me and my family (which was the original plan since the very beginning before he tried to get me to move in with him) because he didn't want to be around my family. I've told him about fights my family and I have had and he can't forgive them or at least move past it enough to move in anymore even though things are better with my family now than they ever were before. Since then, things haven't been the same.
We'll get into arguments all the time which will result in him threatening the relationship and me trying to piece things back together because it seems like all of this has come out of nowhere during the past two months. He will also be consistently rude to me and act like I'm an annoyance. I have always given him all the love and attention he could ever want, and previous issues he had with me in the beginning are no more now. I've given up on getting any love from him for the moment. But when he's rude to me, I do have to say something about it which is where the arguments are coming from. For example, I jokingly asked him if he liked being in a relationship with me as a way to tell him I wanted him to not do something (i.e. he asked if he should do something and I responded with "well, do you wanna be in a relationship with me?" I would give a specific example but I was so not serious about it, that I don't even remember what it was that he was asking about) and instead of asking for a clarification about my intentions with the statement he just said no. I waited for him to clarify, but he didn't. I ended the call and after a min or two asked him to clarify what he meant and to apologize. Apparently he said he was saying no to me "threatening the relationship", which I then clarified that I wasn't being serious and was just being sassy as a joke. But then he started talking about breaking up again which lead to me crying, trying to piece everything back together again. Things had been fine earlier that day.
Then when I start to accept it finally, he acts like he may have an "idea" that will save the relationship. Most recently he said he needs to lower me on his list of priorities. Which I don't understand because to me, it feels like he has already lowered me on his list of priorities. Apparently he values his recent part time retail job over me and for some reason he can't have both me and the job. He also will complain that he's tired and doesn't want to go to work but he'll accept when he's called in short notice to the point where he'll work all day. And then he'll claim that its me who's holding him back from doing other things he likes like doing yardwork or whatever else he wants to do. I want to be appreciated for my efforts and commitment and I've NEVER held him back from any of those things. I had been encouraging him to get his first job for over a YEAR before he got it. He also doesn't respect that I want him to have a car before I visit and still won't get the car that's been available to him for a while now through his grandpa. All he has to do is put himself on the insurance but he won't do it. He even let his learners permit expire so now he can't take a flight or even drive a car and there's even more steps for him to do at this point to get a car, better himself, and grow up. For the record, I am also not a nag. I haven't asked him to do ANYTHING other than just respect me as a human for 2 months.
When I ask him why he wants to break up its always a new reason and when I ask him to elaborate on the reason he says "I don't know". He doesn't know why he thinks we're not compatible anymore. He doesn't know why he wants to be single. He doesn't know what he learned from this relationship even though he claims that "maybe this was just a stepping stone for us to learn". He doesn't know anything but he still acts like he wants to go through with it.
I'm so tired of all of this, but it feels like such a waste to break up because this bad stuff hasn't been happening for very long. I feel like if he was more in touch with his emotions about moving in and visiting, he wouldn't be in this place mentally. Plus when we visit we're sooo happy together. We HAD been so happy together for the vast majority of the relationship up until around this time. But there's nothing I can do for him anymore to make him realize our relationship is worth saving. I've been holding onto the future of this relationship for SO long and have put a LOT into it, both emotionally and financially (long distance is expensive). I just don't want it to end because he can't deal with his emotions and can't treat me with respect just out of the blue. It doesn't make any sense to me and I'm having a really hard time accepting it. I worry he may end up regretting it down the line. I think that I'm a very good partner and have a lot of good qualities. I've improved myself a lot in this relationship too. I don't know why he'd want to be single instead. Literally everyone I've talked to has told me to break up with him. It's just so hard to divest my energy this quickly. I don't feel prepared. I don't think he's going to realize what he had until its gone for good. It's just so hard for me to give up on this. Please let me know what I should do about this terrible situation.
TLDR; My long-distance relationship of nearly 2 years hit a rough patch. Initially, our plan was for him to move in with me, then my boyfriend wanted me to move in, which I considered but backed out on for school and family reasons. Arguments and rudeness escalated. He's indecisive about breakup reasons. Despite advice from others, I'm struggling to accept a potential breakup. I've invested a lot emotionally and feel unprepared to end it.

I got Hallandale from emerge but my 7.5 3 month supply just shipped today I like the pens better so I want to go to name brand, but not sure if I should finish the vile first (1 more dose in the vial). The vial had a 1 year expiration date, but not sure if once you stick a needle in it, it has to be used quicker
