I'm on mac. I downloaded the map and the mod pack and dragged it into the mods folder. I tried unzipping both and then just one at a time and then neither of the two. I tried dragging each individual file into the mods folder. Nothing shows up in game. Maybe I'm missing a crucial step? This is also my first time trying to add mods from outside of the modhub so any advice or help would help appreciated.

I don't necessarily want to enable the kill switch since I use the PIA app (Mac) purely to have my torrent client on split tunnel. BUT... what happens if PIA didn't start properly or if it's not connecting to a VPN server, will the torrent client then default to going out via normal IP traffic? How would the app know if it's suppose to wait till PIA VPN + split tunnel is established before making any IP calls?

I've a MB pro 13" mid 2009 that I want to install macOS. The previous owner had installed windows 10 but the OS is not working properly and they gave it to me. I want to install macOS, I've done some research and macOS Catalina is compatible and I've already downloaded the dmg and iso files
I would really appreciate it if someone could kindly provide some installation procedure and tips (videos and articles). I've checked some online articles and videos and all of them are from a mac that is already running macOS and not windows.

So, I am running Bias FX 2 Elite on my HP Pavilion Laptop 15-eg0067st, which came with 12 GB of RAM and a 512 GB M.2 SSD for storage. I've noticed that sometimes, even when running in standalone mode, that I get artifacts in my tones, and other times, when I'm really jammin' and playing some heavier stuff the program will go from sounding really great, as it should, to just going off the wall, and getting ugly sounding, and at times will even cut the audio out all together.
I am curious as to what causes this. I guess it's also worth mentioning that I am plugging my guitar in to my Pavilion laptop via a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface (firmware version 1605) . Sample rate is 44.1 kHz, with a buffer size of 128. My round-trip latency is 15.2ms - (666 samples), and I am in "safe mode". I am getting ready to upgrade my PC since I am going to already be opening it up in order to install a new fan, which it needs just because the original one isn't doing so hot, and I don't like my laptop getting too, well, hot.
I plan on installing a Crucial 32 GB RAM kit (which will consist of two 16 GB sticks), as well as a storage upgrade in the form of a Crucial 2TB M.2 PCle NVMe SSD. These upgrades will obviously work wonders for my trusty laptop (which is about 3 years old at this point in time, and has been a great PC, which I have not had a single issue/problem with throughout the entire time I've owned it thus far) from many different angles, one of the biggest improvements of which, I assume will be my performance when using multiple plug-ins while recording/tracking in Reaper, in which I always only use either Bias FX 2 Elite, or Amplitube as far as my plug-ins are concerned.
I am just wondering if these audio anomalies and such which are occurring as I am playing guitar, might be another item which I might expect to see some improvement upon once I have completed these fixes and upgrades. I learned very early on, that if one expects to be able to play using BIAS FX 2, without experiencing a noticeable amount of latency (or any other plug-in for that matter), that RAM is one's best friend. The more RAM one has, the better these programs will run. More seamlessly, and with less latency. So, I know that I will be improving my usage of BIAS FX 2 Elite, I am just curious as to which ways I might expect to see noticeable improvements, aside from the fact that I should be able to get round-trip latency way down, to a point where it will not be noticeable at all anymore, and more like playing on an actual amplifier.
It's definitely sweet to be able to jam using my computer as a means of amplification. But any considering taking this leap for themselves, who have not already, be warned, it is absolutely NOT, just as simple as purchasing a license, downloading some software, and BOOM, you're in the game! Unfortunately, there is a great deal more involved than that, the main thing being, the fact that regardless whether you are sporting a MAC, or a PC, either way, it must be a relatively powerful machine. Positive Grid's website states that a minimum of 8 GB of RAM is required to run BIAS FX 2. However, based upon personal experience, and the fact that almost all of us are going to have other programs and apps being put to use on our computers, other than just what is necessary to play our guitars - think, DAWs for example... because chances are, if you are interested in playing guitar on your MAC or PC, then you are almost certainly going to want to start doing some tracking/recording as well... and that's still just sticking to the guitar related stuff - , I would highly recommend investing in a desktop, or laptop with absolutely no less than 16 GB of RAM.

Hello, I recently got a huge hankerin' for the mojave after watching a few milliseconds of the Fallout series, and forced myself through the entire Viva New Vegas mod guide to experience the game through a fresh lens. Now, everything went great and I'm actually pretty proud of myself for not totally fucking this up.. BUT, my issue is that I somehow messed up my ability to alt-tab in/out of the game (I had gotten it working initially, but it just crashes now) and it's become a huge headache, and liability to crash my game prior to getting a save in.
To add a bit of context to my installation process, I basically installed everything that it offered from top to bottom, reading every bit of text to make sure I don't download anything redundant or unnecessary. Everything went off without a hitch with the first portion of the setup up to Base Finish (& including the first 'Load Order' profile). However, when I went through VNV Extended, while it seemed like everything went great I noticed that my second profile did not contain 'CC - 3D Rain.esp' at the bottom of the right 'Plugins' pane. Now, by this point you can imagine how dull my brain felt, so I said fuck it and booted the game up without issue, happily setting up my Settings>Tweaks.
My issue is this: While I'm very pleased with what I've accomplished, I would like to reverse the fullscreen borderless window mode for my client so I can stop crashing over and over :( The risk does not outweigh the reward personally.
Possibly important additional context: Aside from OneTweak, which I'm not sure how to navigate to edit my borders, if that's even an option(?) (I read somewhere there's an updated version of this? Scared to uninstall/new install), I did also create a 'FalloutCustom.ini' file in my Steam root folder, as well as my FONV folder that's also in my Documents>My Games folder, which oddly seems like it's helped to affect the border change (although I'm not positive, since it's not even in the correct folder location in Steam).

I am really struggling with this issue with my word but I don't have an IT support service to contact. My download was provided through my University and they haven't been helpful because it's on a personal device and I can only contact over the phone and opening tickets. I have considered calling Microsoft myself but I am not the admin to the licence I cannot do so.
Simply every time I select my sentence and then press on the dot point bulletin butten my entire device freezes, the app stops responding, the 'Microsoft Error Reporting' background app appears in my Dock and I am constantly having to send reports to Apple. I have consistently restarted the entire device, it'll then stop having issues until I do that series of moves again and then I am back doing this process all over. I also keep losing my work from doing this as it is not saving. I have my finals in 2 weeks and I am quite scared.
I have already reinstalled the AutoUpdate app and the issue reappeared. I have also completely redownloaded the entire Microsoft Suite applications and again the issue reappeared. I cannot keep redownloading it because I have limited downloads provided by my institution, I have maybe 1 or 2 downloads left (I have had a previous device before this).
If this helps, I have the most recent m3 MacBook Pro, the software is all up to date, and have no other issues with the device.

For the past two days I have had issues playing Minecraft Java edition on my M3 Mac. I am unable to select a version of Minecraft java to run, but ideally I would like to get to play 1.20.4 running again. I have tried updating the OS to Sonoma 14.5 (The issue started in Sonoma 14.1). I have verified that via terminal, my Java version was showing as 17. I tried reinstalling 17, tried installing 22. I have opened the Minecraft package and run the launcher from there. I have deleted Minecraft from the Applications folder and downloaded a new copy with no luck. running it from Curseforge even with a new vanilla profile does not help either.
I'm running out of ideas.... anyone have suggestions?

I have downloaded and gotten Anadius Unlocker to work for Sims4 on PC, but I cannot seem to get the mac version to work (since my PC is almost too old to run the game). I know Macs are more difficult, and I've followed all the steps, but I think there may be an issue with the Anadius Tools wineskin. I run it, it opens and then just closes without triggering anything.
I've downloaded the Anadius Tools wineskin launcher, I have a legit game, and I've put DLC files in the packs folder.

We will be holding a Stress Test on Saturday, June 1st, 2024 at 1pm Eastern.

• It will run for 4 hours, ending at 5pm Eastern.
• If we run into stability issues, we'll either immediately patch the game or, if absolutely necessary, end the playtest (with the hopes of running one at the same time the next day, or a later date if absolutely needed)
• Players will be using Fresh Characters in order to test new Combat Balance and Experience Rates. Your old characters still exist and may be used again in later tests.
• Early in the test, we may be limiting characters to only the Night Harbor zone, but we will bring other zones online as soon as Stress Test data is collected.

I normally play on Xbox, but I wanted to try playing on my M1 Mac today, something I've never tried before.
I go to Mojang's Web site and login using the Microsoft account I use on Xbox. It says I have Bedrock purchased and gives me a link to download the launcher. Now start my problems.
( EDIT: after someone told me Bedrock doesn’t work on Mac, I purchased Java Edition )
After I enter my password in the Launcher, it tells me the following:
"Sign-in is blocked"
"Sign-in with blocked for one of these reasons:Someone entered the wrong password too many times."
"If you signed up for this account through an organization, you might not be able to use it yet."
...
However, I did not enter my password wrong even once. The account works perfectly in browser, on Xbox, and anywhere else I try it. It is not blocked nor locked out anywhere else. Only the Mac MineCraft Launcher rejects it.
Despite this, I try using the "reset password" option. That claims to send a code to my phone that never arrives. So I go in the browser, login, and try the reset password option in browser. The code arrives immediately. I reset my password. I return to the Mac launcher and enter the new password. Still blocked! And the exact same message about entering a wrong password too many times.
This is infuriating. Does anyone else play on Mac and knows how to fix this? I am using Mojang's official launcher.

I've just bought an iPod, and I'm excited to use it primarily as a music player to enjoy high-quality sound and disconnect from my phone.
I have a hard drive with a music library that I've been building for the past 10 years. However, it's been dormant for the last four years as I switched to using Apple Music exclusively.
I've already synced this library with my Apple Music to use the iCloud Library, allowing me to have the same library available for streaming on Apple Music whenever I want.
Now, I want to get back to owning my music files. My plan is to discover new music and artists throughout the month, and at the end of the month, I'll choose one or two albums to download or purchase on iTunes.

My question is, how do I mix downloaded files, iTunes purchases, and my old library now on iCloud Library?

Should I sync my iPod with the music app, or upload the files manually? If I go with manual uploads, how do I access the files from an iTunes purchase?

Now, I want to get back to owning my music files. My plan is to discover new music and artists throughout the month, and at the end of the month, I'll choose one or two albums to download or purchase on iTunes.

My question is, how do I mix downloaded files, iTunes purchases, and my old library now on iCloud Library?

Should I sync my iPod with the music app, or upload the files manually? If I go with manual uploads, how do I access the files from an iTunes purchase?

Note: I use a MacBook, and I need to buy on iTunes because some indie artists I like only have their music available there, or they're too obscure to find through alternative means
