Hello everyone,
I wanted to ask you about a career advice. I am 25 and finishing my masters in communications in September. Right now I am on erasmus internship, where i work as a digital marketing specialist. I have a job waiting for me in my own country when i return in a marketing agency, where i already worked before for almost a year. I have 3 years of working experience in marketing, mostly i specialise in paid advertising. I think that moving abroad changed my perspective on how i want to live. I always liked to travel (I mostly travelled in Europe), but now I feel like I don’t want to go to my own country anymore. I want to move somewhere else in Europe, preferably Spain or Portugal. Or I want to go travel Asia and live there for some time. I am really stressed out cause I don’t know what to do. Is it better to go back home, take the job and live there for some time? Maybe go on another Erasmus internship (I am not sure if I can find it in Spain, cause I was reading blogs and everyone is saying that getting a job here is really hard and to find this internship I needed to send more than 150 applicaitions). I already freelance a bit, but it is not enough for living. Was anybody in a similar position when they didn’t know what to do in their life or you maybe have any advice? Thank you. :)

Hi friends.
Sorry for the long post lol.
I've (25 F) been with my boyfriend (27 M) for 3 years, known him for 7. I've always known he has OCD and I know the details of all the times his OCD has ruled his life in the past.
When we started dating, his OCD was minimal and it didn't really affect our lives. About 2 years ago, I started to notice that it was getting slowly worse, and he was starting to struggle more and more. I suggested therapy but he brushed it off and was clearly in denial that he needed help. Over the course of 18 months, things got worse and worse. He began to live in a state of near constant anxiety, and due to his extreme fear and panic, I regularly got snapped at. Clothes had to be washed multiple times, there were corners of his flat I wasn't allowed anywhere near, food I prepared got thrown away, and there was one time he tried to get me to wash my deceased dad's jumper (he passed away 16 years ago and I have a couple of his jumpers that I don't wear, I just keep and try not to wash too frequently for sentimental reasons). When we moved in together, there were bags of things all over the flat that I wasn't allowed to go through and unpack. We ended up just cramming bin bags of his things in various corners of the place because he couldn't touch them and I didn't want them sat in the middle of the living room. Throughout this time, I was still regularly accidentally doing things wrong by touching things I didn't know he perceived as contaminated, resulting in him snapping and even shouting at me. It's important to add that while all of this was going on, I was having weekly EMDR therapy sessions for C-PTSD, so I was struggling with my own mental health and actively putting in immense amounts of effort to heal. I have since mostly recovered.
It wasn't until September last year that I couldn't take it anymore and told my boyfriend I would not renew our tenancy and I would move out if he didn't get back into therapy. After months of begging and helping him find a therapist, he finally got into therapy in January of this year, 18 months after I initially suggested it.
Unfortunately, my boyfriend was not honest with his therapist, and she was under the impression that his OCD was minimal and he just needed a bit of help. He put a wall up with her and then complained that he wasn't getting better.
About 2 weeks ago, I reached a new point of desperation. I found myself dreading my boyfriend's return from work because half of the time he would bring a black cloud into our flat with him. I found myself avoiding him, staying quiet around him, shrinking myself down around him, all in fear of setting him off and getting snapped at. I've also found myself losing empathy for him and losing my temper with him. I used to be so patient and calm and do everything I could to help him, but now I'm so exhausted and so fed up of his constant anger, I can't cope. We don't do date nights anymore, and I've found myself turning away from him in bed and sitting on the other end of the sofa when we watch TV in the evenings.
I finally reached out to his sister and met her for lunch last week. She's not only very aware and experienced with my boyfriend's OCD, but she's also got 2 psychology degrees and has been working in mental health since graduating. I don't know why I didn't go to her sooner, but she's helped lessen the burden on me and is meeting up with my boyfriend once a week. She's also been there for me to talk to if I'm stuggling or don't know how to manage a situation. My boyfriend and I also wrote letters to his therapist so we could accurately describe how bad his OCD is without him putting a verbal wall up, so now she is aware and is going to modify her approach with him and has also suggested some extra coping mechanisms. My boyfriend has also spoken to a doctor and is increasing his medication ever so slightly just to see if that helps.
All of this sounds great, right? Sounds promising. But I am so exhausted. I am so burnt out. My boyfriend's sister just messaged me to check how I am and I burst into tears. I'm not currently working (job market is hellish) so I'm home all day. I try to do nice things for myself (I go running, I read, journal, meditate, play animal crossing, etc.) as well as doing all the cooking and cleaning, but I just feel like a shell of a person. I just started crying when I got into bed last night and I don't even know why. I wake up miserable and exhausted every day.
What do I do? My boyfriend has just started getting a significant amount more support and help but we won't see any changes for a little while as these things take time.
Leaving him is not on the cards because 1) I don't want to and 2) that would just make him even worse and I will not cause him pain when he is already suffering.

Long post ahead. I'm asking a lot, so I know an answer to each question would be too much to ask for. However, it would be really helpful if anyone could answer any one of them.
I am someone considering making General Practice my career. I don't know any GPs on a personal level to ask any of my questions. So, for the past few months, I have been doing intensive reading about GP online. However, I have seen a lot of contradicting opinions. Therefore, I made this account so that I could clear my doubts instead of waiting for each and every post on Reddit to see if it answers my queries. I hope this is the right place to ask. If not, please feel free to redirect me.
1.What do you see as the future of GPs in the UK?
I recently read a post about removing PAs from GP practices. Also, how long do you think ARRS will exist? Will these become extinct in the near future? When the realization that these increases workload rather than decreasing it sets in, will the funding be cut and go back to how it was? Some posts about how the job market for locum and salaried jobs have saturated quickly, yet still unable to meet demand, have been seen online. Will the removal of ARRS change this? (Of course, if it's possible).
2.The NHSE plans to increase GP training places by 6,000 in 2031, which is nearly a 2,000 increase. Will such a move make it capable of solving the GP shortage in the UK? A lot of discussions about grueling long hours, like 10-12 hour days for GPs, are often mentioned. Can an increase in GP training places, which essentially increases the number of GPs, reduce this workload?
3.What is the reality about GP working hours for a salaried position? Of course, partners will work long hours, but what are the usual hours for a salaried GP? I saw an article stating that a 3-day part-time work week essentially amounts to 36 hours, even for a salaried position. Initially, I thought this to be an exceptional scenario, but the more I read, the more I realize this is a common scenario. Some even say that if a GP appears to work only three days, they may probably work on other days to catch up with pending referrals, paperwork, etc. Is this a bit of hyperbole, or is it a fact?
4.How will privatization affect primary care? Will it be essentially profit-driven, potentially making it more grueling for employees?
5.Most posts about GP will have a comment about "CCT and flee," with many mentions of Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. What about Ireland? Is there any specific reason Ireland is not mentioned frequently, especially when its proximity to the UK is closer than the other countries?

Crypto innovation has kinda slowed down lately, not a lot seem to be happening in the market. But hey, there are still some cool things going on in the crypto world. Like, there are teams hustling hard to make crypto more user-friendly, which is gonna make it easier for all of us to use crypto and dapps in our everyday lives. One of those is SupraLabs. They started off as an Oracle service, then known as Supra Oracles, fixing a bunch of issues with existing Oracle platforms and services, like faster data transfers for price feeds and making sure the data is reliable and accurate.

My lease on my current place ends in July. I asked my current landlord over a month ago if myself and my kids (single mom and two teens), can sign another 1 year lease. We have kept his place immaculate and he has seen it several times over the past year. My rent is always paid on time and bills are up to date. His response to signing was that he needed to check what the current market value is and he will get back to me. I’m my area it has gone up $300-$500 per month. I still haven’t heard back from him. I need to either give a month notice or re-sign with him for June 1st so I am running out of time. I have looked at current prices around Edmonton for a 3 bedroom place and the majority are $2000 and up. The max I can afford is $1900 and that’s at the top of my budget. It means I’m working over full time. Both my kids are special needs and while I do get some funding for them it’s only a couple hundred a month. It mostly pays for medical supplies. No one will want to be a roommate with a person who has two medical kids. I also don’t want the stress of getting a 4+ bedroom place and then the roommate takes off and I’m left paying for everything myself. I had it happen several years ago. I make decent money ( I am a pediatric LPN) but it’s not enough to survive on with the way things are going. I don’t want to have to move into a dangerous neighbourhood or a very run down and dangerous accommodation, just to make ends meet. Rent in Alberta is getting beyond ridiculous. I also have to compete against a lot of other people in this city for any accommodation. I’ve started looking at small towns for cheaper places but then that means my kids will be pulled from their special schools and I will either have to home school them, they go to regular schools and fail high school or they just drop out of school. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 😔small towns are almost just as expensive and then I will have to find a new job. Just frustrated at where housing in Alberta is at.
EDIT: yes I am open to having a 2 bedroom or even a 1 bedroom place to have a roof over our heads but it’s just disheartening that rent has gone up so much.

The contract market sucks.... i'm a Developer with 18 years experience, a broad skill set and alot to offer clients.
I started contracting 8 years ago on £500-£600 per day.. 2 years ago i got £700... yesterday i interviewed at £400 per day at a client i've worked for before that paid me... £500 5 years ago to do the same job im going back to do.
I know i shouldn't have interviewed... but the market is dead and other jobs i've been interviewing have even worse rates, or worse work-life balance.
This morning im feeling very deflated, it's likely i'll need to make a decision... say no or take the £400 per day. i have a bad taste in my mouth... why was i worth £500 5 years ago? but im not worth it now? i have 5 years more experience, more skills on my CV.
It's the first interview i've had in 6 weeks, i have a desperate need to eat and pay my morgage, i know i shouldn't be precious but it's depressing and really knocks your confidence.

Hello! My name is Lavinia and I'm a graphic designer from Germany with the goal to become creative director in the music industry. I'd like to connect to other creative directors and network. I'm also looking for advice to proceed on my path.
A little bit about myself. I did not get a BA or a Master in any design field and simply graduated from graphic design school in 2016. I worked an internship for a movie agency for a little while. Eventually life took some unexpected turns and I went into the military and abroad.
During graphic design school it had already been clear that I would either take the path towards gaming industry or music industry. Back then I had already started designing posters, flyers, logos and album covers for local bands.
At the moment I'm honing my skills in different creative categories and obtain knowledge, educate myself in different matters. I'm a jack of all trades and can do most things I put my mind to. I've been doing graphical work independently on the side for some time now, took a break from the industry. The original intention was to officially go freelancer when I realized that I wanted to do more than that.
My corporate experience is slim though I worked in fields were marketing, selling and client service were crucial attributes. I've not been in design leadership roles just yet but more so in other fields.
Recently I thought about spending another 4 years (8 semesters) on obtaining a BA in communication design. I talked to a creative director in the music industry and he mentioned that I should rather focus on networking, doing music projects (personal and smaller artists) and build portfolio. Once I've got a solid amount of good work, I could start sending my portfolio to management companies, artists and labels.
Is anybody here in the music industry? How did you get in and how did you network?
I would love to get some insight!

• trying to remind said random people gently that the boomeMSM is owned by big finance and infiltrated/pressured by various state intelligence agencies (cf proof of WMDs) and that yes you are being lied to about damn near everything in order to sell you crap or manufacture your consent
  
• Equities still elevated despite persistent inflation (German accent for emphasis) “NEIN!! Ze collateral shall not FALL!”
  
• the precious metals market wigging out - silver is over 30/oz (much cheaper than that really good 18% weed back in the day) —- this is honestly one of the more crazy ones, look up what’s going on with the settlement of contracts at the vaults - Michael lynch has some good stuff on this
  
• ATH in major equities markets
  
• houses unaffordable for the majority of people under 30 and not in Big (steaming pile) Tech
  
• billions In taxpayer dollars each month it seems to “defend freedom abroad” but it all really goes back into US defense
  
• Jim Simons, dude who quite literally made important contributions to quantum theory (Chern Simons theory) then ran the worlds most successful hedge fund, had his fund buy 100M of GME right before he died
  

Anyhow all this is seemingly coming to a head, like Right Now —— While I am paranoid by nature and , I ask you to consider the possibility that maybe GME here is one piece of a larger puzzle that involves people realizing how to assert their own agency and that by simply buying and holding we are breaking an ancient and very powerful form of parasitic entity, banking or otherwise that has been sitting on the human race for a while now,

So we've recently started our business and we were testing our all over print tote bags. Firstly a couple of weeks back we did a trial run with COD only as an option and we broke even, spent 4k and got almost that much amount of orders (10 orders). It wasnt the desired ROAS from any stretch but we thought its a good start, because our mockups and the fact we didnt have a payment gateway would just add on to this trial.
After about 2 weeks, we have now tried UGC collected photos run as a carousel ad in 1 campaign, a carousel post with created mockups as a seperate campaign (both of these with shopping bag, amazon, etsy, vincent van gogh as a couple of interests) and lastly a UGC video reel as an advantage plus campaign. None of these 3 have performed well for us like AT ALL. the landing page views itself has been so less and thus connected to that the add to carts & checkouts initiated have been almost neglible. We ran these 3 with only online payment as an option so idk what you guys think but the fact that the landing page views itself were pretty bad (3.2k INR gave us only 158 landing page views) so we're not sure if not having COD was the barrier because a customer didnt even reach there to figure that as a hurdle.
But overall, could you guys help in letting us know whats the issue been according to your hypothesis and what do we do? We're ready to accept that perhaps the designs we ran aren't great and not the market fit but the weird thing is how the first trial did okayish and then the follow up ones with seemingly better quality did horribly. Pls help. Facebook Ads is like being stuck in a maze and we don't even know where to pinpoint our attention to decipher what went wrong.
