2024.05.29 06:58 pikoubird my thoughts on gay mac

my thoughts on gay mac
i see people complain a lot on this sub about how Mac has been written really poorly and out of character for the past few seasons, and I agree 100 percent. he went from being my 2nd favorite member of the gang in seasons 1–10 to my least favorite by far.
but I feel like a lot of the criticism is misplaced. i know that when people say things like “i hate gay Mac” it doesn’t necessarily mean they hate him because he’s gay, I know they’re just talking about the ‘era’ his character is in
but some of y’all hate Mac being gay a little TOO much (when your only issue with Mac is just the fact that he’s gay maybe do some introspection). the argument about how it’s “out of place” makes absolutely no sense considering the show’s been hinting at him liking men since season 1. if anything I think the progression of him figuring out his sexuality and overcoming that catholic guilt was really well-done and satisfying.
i love that Mac is gay and it’s really nice to see queer rep in a show i love so much. but with this, it seems like RCG forgot everything else about his character. a character can be gay AND have a fully developed personality and flaws. give him a little bit of his toxic masculinity back!! or his stupid ass karate moves!! I appreciate that the writers are trying to be open about their queer character but it feels almost insulting how much they’ve stripped Mac down of everything else that made him himself.
another thing that’s been really bothering me is how they make him follow dennis around like a goddamn puppy. he’s in his 40s?? why does he all of a sudden act like a submissive little bitch around a guy he’s known for years??? they make it obvious that Mac has a thing for Dennis yet they constantly play up the joke of “Mac follows Dennis around desperately and does whatever he wants so he likes him, and in turn Dennis treats him like shit. it’s funny because Dennis hates him!!”
to me it’s not funny at all, it’s cringey and uncomfortable to watch. it feels….. queerbaity, in the worst possible way. what used to be a somewhat normal friendship is now this weird, abusive one-sided situationship, which started right around s13, the same time that Mac came out as gay. I used to really like macdennis in the earlier seasons, but at this point I hope they never EVER make them a thing.
I really hope the guys stop massacring Mac’s character in season 17 and resolve the whole power imbalance thing going on between him and Dennis. they finally gave us an openly gay character and made him insufferable

2024.05.29 06:56 SimpleCrow Genetic Ascension Ideas

Playing the three new Synthetic Ascensions makes me daydream about similar Genetics Ascensions. I love the idea of an Ascension offering three diverging paths that benefit different Ethics and playstyles, rather than a single hard-set path that must be followed, and I hope they take the route they took with Synthetics for Machine Empires to Genetics, Psionics, Synthetic, and Cybernetic Ascensions for all Empires.
Transformation
Concept: The Wide Play Ascension for Genetics. Variation takes genetic alteration to its logical extreme and applies it to Terraforming Worlds. A species that tailors their species for every world, and every world for their species.
Adoption Effects: 1) +10% Habitability. 2) Your Species gain the Transformative Trait (functions similar to Synthetic's Auto-Modding Trait, but it alters the species' Habitability Preference to match their current world.) 3) Unlocks the Transformative Genetics Agenda. (Same as other Ascensions, this grants 25% research towards select technologies, mostly focused on habitability and terraforming.)
Tier 1A: Organic Terraforming Microbes: 1) -25% Terraforming Cost. 2) +25% Terraforming Speed.
Tier 1B: Anaerobic Transfer Proteins: 1) -25% Modify Species Special Project Cost. 2) +25% Modify Species Special Project Speed. 3) +3 Genetic Modification Points. +1 Genetic Species Trait Picks.
Tier 2A: Worlds of Clay: 1) Unlocks the Remove Modifier Planetary Decision. (Remove any modifier on a planet over 30 days.) 2) Unlocks the Modify Planet Planetary Decision. (Spend Unity and Influence to add powerful Planetary Modifiers to your worlds over 600 days.)
Tier 2B: Hyperthermic Adaptation: 1) Genetic Modification can add genetic ascension habitability traits that boost population output and habitability at the cost of increased upkeep. (Ex. Alpine Adaptation. 90% habitability on Alpine worlds. -5% housing usage. +10% upkeep.)
Tier 3: Artificial Gaia Protocol: Habitability is no longer capped at 100%. Every 1% of habitability above 100% decreases pops' upkeep and amenities usage by -1% and increases their job output and species growth by +0.5%.
Finisher Effects: 1) Terraformed Planets can have +1 Planetary Modifier. 2) -25% Empire Size from Terraformed Planets 3) -10% Empire Size from Pops with Advanced Habitability Preferences.
Explanation: The playstyle rewards wide play with lots of planets. Terraform as many as you can and add planetary modifiers to make them even better, then make your pops match your planets. The high upkeep cost of Hyperthermic Adaptation can be mitigated by stacking bonuses with Artificial Gaia Protocol. Many planet modifiers reduce habitability, and I imagine a few unique ones would be added, making it a game of balancing as many bonuses as you can to maximize Artificial Gaia Protocol. Take World Shapers. Turn the entire galaxy into Gaia Worlds. ??? Profit.
Evolution
Concept: This is the advancement of the base Genetic Ascension in-game and the analogue to the Synthetic modularity. Evolution is about encouraging the species' innate evolutionary abilities through cloning and intentional genetic manipulation.
Adoption Effects: 1) +4 Pops with Vocational Genomics traits optimized per month 2) Unlocks the Clone Vats Building (same as in game). 3) Unlocks the Genetic Pursuit Agenda (Same as in game).
Tier 1: Genetic Resequencing: 1) Genetic Modification can remove positive traits. 2) Genetic Modification can add negative traits. 3) Genetic Modification can change species trait. 4) Unlocks Assimilation into or out of Hive Minds. 5) Genetic Modification can add genetic ascension species traits.
Tier 1B: Stem Cell Stimulation 1) +1.5 Monthly Organic Pop Assembly from Clone Vats buildings.
Tier 2A: Allelic Expression: 1) +3 Gene Modification Points. 2) +1 Organic Species Trait Picks. 3) -50% Modify Species special project cost.
Tier 2B: Retroviral Manipulation: 1) Unlocks the Clone Complex (second tier building for the Clone Vats to match second tier building for the Roboticists.) 2) −33% Clone Vats upkeep.
Tier 3: Engineered Evolution. 1) +3 Gene Modification Points. 2) +1 Organic Species Trait Picks 2) Genetic Modification can add genetic ascension species traits.
Finisher Effects: 1) Every 10 years, all species traits (positive and negative) increase (or decrease) by 1%, to a maximum of + or -10%. This bonus resets each time that species is modified. 3) Can research transgenesis options (as in game.)
Explanation: Much of this Ascension is taking what existed previously and expanding upon it. The original Engineered Genesis was, for non-Hive Minds, a flavor tradition, at most. It feels natural to combine it with Genetic Resequencing. Allelic Expression is moved up a tier, and half of its bonuses are shifted to the first tier, allowing a civ to benefit from the increased trait picks earlier. The Finisher seals the deal: encouraging players to tailor a species well and allow evolution to follow its natural course instead of forcing them to micro-manage each species on every world.
Purification
Concept: The Tall Play Ascension for Genetics. Purification believes that a species is the best it can possibly be right from the start, and that any changes are WRONG. This ties heavily into the new Civic "Natural Design." A Natural Design species would be able to start the Genetic Ascension situation, but they would be locked into the Purification line.
Adoption Effects: 1) +10% Pop Growth Speed. 2) +10 Leader Lifespan. 3) Unlocks the Pure Blood Agenda (Same as above.)
Tier 1: Self-Actualization: 1) Cannot terraform planets. 2) Cannot modify species habitability preferences. 3) Cannot modify species. 4) All Species that join your Empire automatically gain the genetic ascension habitability trait (see Transformation, Tier 2B) corresponding to their habitability preference.
Tier 2A: 1) +50% Empire Size and +25% Pop Upkeep from Population on planets with 80% habitability or lower. 2) -50% Empire Size and -25% Pop Upkeep from Population on planets with 100% habitability or higher.
Tier 2B: Purity Politics: 1) +10 Leader Lifespan, and +10% Leader Experience Gain per positive species trait. 2) +15 Leader Lifespan, and +15% Leader Experience Gain per negative trait.
Tier 3A: 1) Species produce +5% resources from jobs per positive trait. 2) Species produce +10% resources from jobs per negative trait.
Tier 3B: Alpha and Omega: All Leader traits (positive and negative) are increased by 1% per Leader. level
Finisher Effects: 1) Every 5 years, pops will automatically migrate or resettle to planets that match their habitability preference. 2) Unemployed and unhoused pops do not generate unhappiness, crime, or instability. 3) Unlocks the Purity of Purpose policies. (Unemployed pops boost certain resources at a reduction of other resources.)
Explanation: Do you want to be the best you can be? This is how. Virtualization's penalty directly correlates to how many colonies you have, but Purification's penalty correlates to pops on colonies that do not suit them. Do you delay your Ascension to terraform and modify as many species as possible, or do you gain gain the benefits of the tradition as soon as possible? Bonus: Invasive Species Meta.

2024.05.29 06:56 Potential_Meal_ What even am I any more!?

I never tried to make an op build before like bloodied builds. But I guess I still have one, that is probably shit cuz I can't do events at all solo. But I want to know what kinda mangled mess my character is considered. I don't know what else to call it other than, kinda a mutant build. My main focus in making my character was to survive and deal as much damage as possible. But without power armor.
I will list my gear and perks. I want to know what what people think and maybe learn to get a better Idea to get more out of it.
My special is currently:S.9 P.15 E.11 C.3 I.5 A.10 L.9
For strength I have:
1 traveling pharmacy to carry over 100 stimpacks
1 expert gladiator to boost my melees
2 bandolier to never run out of ammo
2 martial arts to boost melee
3 arms keeper to carry 7 rifles
For perception:
3 rifleman for damage
3 expert rifle for even more damage
3 master rifle for even more, more damage
3 tank killer to ignore power armor
3 concentrated fire for bonus damage and because I like vats once in awhile
Endurance:
5 ironclad to survive
2 adamntium Skelton to ignore broken bones
1 cannibal to ignore hungar
3 fire proof to ignore explosive damage
Charisma: I don't really care for this stat but I currently have 3 hard bargain( I'm a solo player and never use lone wanderer though I don't think I need it) only for meat weak though. I mainly use 2 field surgeon with 2 on charisma. I don't know where to put that one free point though.
Intelligence:
3 first aid to spam stimpack through heavy damage
2 gunsmith so I don't have to look for gun benches as often
Agility:
3 evasive for survival
3 action boy to make sure I have ap when I want it
2 white knight so I don't need armor benches as much
2 Goat legs to ignore cliffs
Luck:
2 scrounger to always have ammo
2 pharma farma to always have stimpacks
3 lucky break to keep my armor always with some durability
2 class freak to ignore all the negatives to my long list of mutations that Is still growing
As for legendary perks:
2 what's rad so I don't lose my precious mutations
3 perception for rifle man perks
3 agility for action boy
I'm only 127 so thats it for now.
In events I can survive just about anything but can't lay down much damage. But I'm fine with that. With all the automatics targeting the biggest targets, I can take out the little mobs that are just there to annoy, and I can annoy the big targets and keep their attention on me.
Now for the mutations:
Speed demon 😈 to move faster
Bird bone 🐦 this one I heard went nicely with marsupial 🦵. I can live with out this but I need all the mutations I can get. I hope I never develop vegetarian by accident.
Carnivore 🍖 to ignore hunger
Chameleon 🦎 useless as hell but hey gotta get them mutations
Electricly charge ⛈️ this one was random but welcomed
X factor I mean Healing factor to use less stimpacks
Plague walker was random, usless but sure why not
Scaly skin 🪨 for even more survivability
Unstable isotope random but hell yess
Ok now for my guns and armor after: if anyone read this far you can skip over most of this. I never seek out specific legendaries but I ended up with alot of good ones.
RIFLES:
RAILWAY RIFLE *** I got lucky with this random roll through legendary modules
Mutant's which hell yea. Rapid, not sure what it does. Steadfast. usefully. Standard reciever.
WESTERN SPIRIT***
FURIOUS. HITMAN'S. SWIFT. fierce reciever to ignore reloading this gun.
THE FIXER*** boring I hardly use it. Two shot. Last shot. Steadfast.
GAUSS RIFLE*** does alot of damage but to slow Zealot. Rapid. Ghost. All stock.
HANDMADE *** I think I bought his one from a player vendor. Berserker useless. Basher is meh, but I got the bayonet anyways. V.A.T.S. OPTIMAIZE this gun stills chew through my ap faster than any of my other guns. Hardened reciever.
SLUG BUSTER*** the holy grail of finds for me. It got anti armor, vital and weightless. I don't have to mod this gun. It came with exactly with what I would have slapped on there. Refined beta wave tuner, aligned sniper barrel, aligned stock, and medium NV scope. It's beatifull. And It can slap power armor players.
TESLA RIFLE*** I just love using this gun. Suppressor I'm sure helps. V.A.T.S. enhanced means I don't miss a shot. Durability which im very happy to have. It got the charging barrel but I might change it back to stock for dps over raw damage.
These are my primary guns but on the side I have other weapons for smaller fights or just cuz I'm bored.
Melee:
BLUE RIDGE BRANDING IRON*** I feel so lucky to have found this.
Instigating is kinda useful. Melee speed with 2 martial arts is intense. Strength is there.
REVOLUTIONARY SWORD*** this one I got martial arts for but then I ended up with the branding iron.
Assassin, can't complain. Melee speed yep. Cavalier is there.
Now for for the one I use for fun.
Thirst zapper, just a water gun 🔫
Flare 🤷‍♂️
And the fatman daisycutter*
It has weightless, I think I found alot of these but I dont where from. This one also have the MIRV launcher.
Ok now for armor:
I wear marine wetsuits underneath to be protected from water born diseases. It has resistance lining.
My backpack to carry more. 60+. No mods.
Secret service chest*** I made one and I love it.
Chameleon so now I can pretend my mutation works. Agility for which I hope evasive take account of. Frozen mixed with my other mutation that activate on Melee contact makes for a crazy time 🤪. Buttress of course. With jetpack cuz duh.
Secret service left leg*** I consider myself lucky. Only made 3 for this one.
Regenerator. Luck. Divers. It's just a beautiful list to me. Buttress obviously. Gunning for pocketed mods by the way but I'll see what is available before I but any mods.
Secret service right leg*** made one.
Unyielding again also hoping evasive takes into account. Intelligence is there. Reduced weapon weight is nice.
And for the last two are random garbage with life saver effect to survive more but that was before the mutations and and jetpack.
Finally that's it.......so besides being fun to play as a immortal muatated super freak that explodes in many ways on contact. What should I call this uh "build".

Rechtlich gesehen***\**\9])*

2024.05.29 06:55 Rioshinki Someone Wanted A Female Boss! Made a Concept!

Where: At the highest peaks of Ministra, you meet a Tiran by the name of Nasaliya. When you interact with her, you have to beat her in a race. This race takes place in the air and you use your Glider. There will be rings that appear and going through them gives you a speed boost. Successfully beating Nasaliya will deem you as a worthy opponent to fight (you only need to do this once and you can do it multiple times for fun if you want).
Fight: This takes place on a small peak of Ministra, a small arena about half the size of Maestro’s boss fight. Nasaliya has 2 phases and 45K health. Phase 2 happens at 30K health. She will fight like a Humanoid too. Her weapon is her wings as they have been so honed that they are sharp like razors.
Phase one Nasaliya has 3 main moves.
Feathered Retreat: Nasaliya jumps 3 times, throwing a fan of feathers towards you each jump. These can be blocked (medium posture damage), parried, or dodged.
Myriddian Feathers: Nasaliya throws hordes of feathers towards you (they are homing). She will throw a random amount of waves ranging from 3-6, making it reaction based, ending with a flying kick towards you that must be parried or dodged (if you block you are instantly guard broken.)
Tiran Divebomb: Nasaliya flys high up in the air out of vision. After a short amount of time, she dives and strikes you. This MUST be dodged. You will hear the sound que of a move that has to be dodged to be able to dodge this. After coming down, she will slide and use another one of her main moves from there. If she hits you, she grabs you, throws you in the air, and strikes you down. This does HEAVY damage.
Not Worthy (Execute): Being not worthy of her actual power will disappoint Nasaliya. She says you weren’t as strong as she thought you were and proceeds to grab you, twirls you once, then tosses you off the mountain. This doesn’t kill you, but forces you to climb Ministra again to fight her.
Phase 2: After reaching phase 2, Nasaliya laughs saying, “Maybe I’ll have to try here!” and she twirls, making a fierce air wave that stops it from snowing completely. This is when the real battle actually begins. Cue the increase of the speed of the music. Phase 2 Nasaliya will be much more aggressive and tough. She changes from a humanoid AI to her own unique AI. She has 2 forms in the phase, which is her land form and air form.
New Moves:
Relentless Dashes (Execute): Nasaliya sees you as worthy and doesn’t hold back. If you are downed, she will teleport to you, uppercut you, then do a flurry of dashes through you until you are reduced to nothing. This kills you.
Feathered Fight: When Nasaliya is fighting you on land she has a chance of entering her feathered state. Feathers will be twirling around her when she lands. In this state, her M1s will send a feather a set amount of distance. Alone, these feathers don't do anything. At the end of her feathered flight, she recalls all the feathers towards her. You must dodge here. Nasaliya will always laugh and then recall her feathers. Each feather does damage to you, so either dodging or staying out of the line between her and you will work. She will swap to a random air move after this.
Tiran Destruction: Tiran Divebomb becomes Tiran Destruction. This covers the arena in red outlines. You must stand in an area that isn’t red to dodge this attack. Even if you dodge the attack you will still get hit for being in the zone. This happens 3 times in a quick succession. You will only be able to get some hits in if you dodged all 3 of these.
Razor Feathers: Nasaliya takes into the air and glides around you preparing to attack. She will send a set of homing feathers to you 4-8 times. Her feathers will either glow red or blue. If they are blue, you must parry or block them. If they are red, you must dodge them. She can only send out 2 red feathers in a row and you must dodge roll cancel to successfully be able to dodge this attack. Her final feather will ALWAYS be blue. Parrying this SUCCESSFULLY, will fling it back towards her, hitting her and knocking her down to the floor. This allows you to get hits on her.
Feathered Aggression: This move is Feathered Retreat but turns her feathers Red and Blue. Blue feathers means parry and red feathers mean dodge. Read “Razor Feathers” on how to deal with this. Her last wave of feathers will ALWAYS be blue, so parrying this deflects it back, stunning her, allowing you to do damage.
Feather Tennis: On the ground, Nasaliya will do a backflip and send a yellow feather towards your direction. This Yellow feather must be hit with an m1 to punish her. You can parry or dodge it, but she will use another move after this then. M1ing the Yellow feather will deflect it and stun her allowing you to get hits in.
Finisher: When reaching 0 HP or her final stand, Nasaliya will use “A Feathered Finish!” to end the fight. This will always be used last and she will not die until this move is used.
A Feathered Finish!: Nasaliya teleports in front of you instantly and throws you upwards away far from the arena. To make it back you have to glide back (your glider will automatically be pulled out even if you don’t have one). Because of the strong winds in the mountains, you move WAY faster (like 3x usual glider speed). There will be a barrage of feathers and you must dodge them by moving accordingly while still moving back to the arena. After making it back from the arena, Nasaliya recalls all the feathers back towards her. At this point is when you just spam F. After this she will say, “That was fun, let's do it again another time…” as she falls down to the ground from exhaustion. You win the fight.
TL:DR
Funny Tiran boss at top of Ministra. A boss fight more on reactions than pattern memorization. She is funny first phase, then the actual fight starts on the second phase. First phase is humanoid AI, while the second phase is going to be similar to fighting Chaser's AI (doing dmg after moves).

2024.05.29 06:55 Amikejo1996 Apartment / small space workbench - MDF with dog holes / t track?

There's multiple questions and threads on this, but appreciate thoughts on some specific thoughts
TL/DR - I'm considering building a 2'x4' worktop from MDF with some dog holes in the top, t-track on the sides, and putting it on some metal workhorses. Objective is to have something that is actually flat, versatile, and will come apart quickly to be stored in a tiny city closet. And it will allow me to actually make stuff, rather than spending hours / days / weeks building a workbench.
Am I making good / bad choices:
Backstory **
I live downtown in a large city, meaning (storage) space is confined. The major upshot is that I do have a little outdoor area where I can work - and combined with year-round good weather, that's where I plan to do 99% of my work.
What kind of work? I don't know really, I'm currently trying to figure out what I like / how I like to build it. I've dabbled a little bit with hand tools, which I really enjoy, but am also slowly adding some power tools (just bought a router, and will likely get a track saw soon as well). Dutch tool chest is next on the list after building more cat furniture.
What I really need now, is some kind of workbench that is 1) flat, 2) sturdy enough, 3) flexible to allow me to do a little bit of everything (realizing that will come with compromises), and 4) portable / have some mechanism to be broken down pretty quickly and easily. My current system of some plywood on top of two garbage cans has ... certain limitations.
Other options **
Unsurprisingly, I've watched the Paul Sellers workbench build vids more than once. I'd love to build it, but until I have a garage or other permanent space, it's simply not an option. I need to store it somewhere.
I have also looked at some other options of sturdy wooden sawhorses and either a planing beam from 2x's or some kind of torsion box (there's one idea in particular from Mike Farrington which for some reason speaks to me).
Problem with all of these, is that I either can't store it fully assembled, or there is a reasonable amount of assembly required. As much as I'd like to build super sturdy sawhorses out of 4x4s, I also know that living currently without a real workbench, the actual making of those isn't easy, and for work tops in particular, getting stuff dead flat looks easy when you're Paul Sellers or have all kinds of planers / jointers, but with limited hand tools, I can probably get close but I'd never be confident it's completely flat.
My proposed solution **
Would love to get some input / thoughts from people that either have something like this and/or considered it at some point. So much info out there but also so many people pushing their own little gimmick / plans etc.
As a reference - MDF top idea partially from this vid (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7EOAJIQJ2A).

2024.05.29 06:53 AstralFlo 14.10 Recap and 14.11 Predictions

14.10 Recap and 14.11 Predictions
Ok so with extensive research and keeping check of Smolder win rates by runes and by item in order and 40-50 games of Smolder this past few weeks I've come to the following conclusions from my experience
Most consistent runes for me were First Strike > Magical Footwear > Biscuit Delivery > Jack of All Trades with precision secondaries doing Absorb Life > Legend: Haste
First Strike feels like you don't miss out on the extra damage from Comet and helps accelerate your build now that it's more early game focused with the base gold becoming 15g not long ago, Magical Footwear helps with acceleration in the build as it grants 300g for free and gives +10 MS on your boots, by statistics Swifties are the better winrate boots but with this with Lucidity or Mercs, you get 55 MS, just 5 shy of basic Swifties, Biscuit Delivery helps with mana before your first back for which you always run summoner Tp, Jack of All Trades with any build always gives +6 AH and +10 Adaptive, with the one I found most consistent always achieving +10 Haste and +25 Adaptive, Absorb Life in secondaries (which is about to be buffed) is a great alternative to Fleet Footworks helping with sustain and Legend Haste makes runes give potentially 25 Haste or 33 if you do Ability Haste shard, I've been running double Adaptive though as it helps with poke in the early game with W having 1.0 AP ratio and going Doran's Ring being best with 3 early points in W before Q first max being best levelling route
https://preview.redd.it/yywq77wdpa3d1.png?width=767&format=png&auto=webp&s=302c34d6ea2e66d12bb2794d13479604db6fb4c7
Most consistent build order all around seems to be one that also procs Jack of All Trades fully, that'd be Liandry's > Merc's > Trinity Force > Spear of Shojin > Riftmaker > Rapid Fire Cannon
https://preview.redd.it/mpepsrdvoa3d1.png?width=486&format=png&auto=webp&s=5a34cf232dfd69466e19e35a93538aaead35c4b8
So toying around with Blackfire Torch first item I've noticed that either building Liandry's second or third item, it quickly catches up with how much BFT has burnt and by the late game either doubles or triples the amount it has burnt so most of the burn coming from the double burn build would still come from Liandry's anyways and even though the mana is nice on BFT, I generally didn't feel the need of it after trying the build many times which surprised me, was expecting to run Oom way more, anyways its been proven that burn on first slot for Smolder has felt the best so it makes sense, running Sheen first into Liandry's also felt very nice, Mercs gives 3 different stats by itself, giving flat ms, tenacity and mr so it procs 3 stats on Jack of All Trades and as second item will also give +10 adaptive, feels great, completing Trinity Force after gives a very sharp spike in damage in comparison with going Lich Bane second item so it helps with the usually rough early to mid-game, Shojin on third slot is statistically best time to build it and on this build makes it so by now all items make Smolder way tankier than he should be with +1k bonus health from 3 items and mercs giving tenacity and mr, haste by this point is crazy, with Legend Haste's 15, +7 from Jack, possible 8 from shards, 40 ability plus Shojin's +15 on basic abilities doing 77-85 basic Ability Haste, 62-70 for the Ult, Riftmaker afterwards intensifies true damage burn slightly, makes you tankier and translates your bonus hp into AP so makes sense why statistics show it being best built at this time, omnivamp is also no joke, can help lots now that you can stay in fights for longer and closer to the frontline and RFC to close out gives the last 3 stats needed to get +15 adaptive on Jack, so it makes it feel less shit to build the non AD version of RFC and by this point you might not really need to get tankier, just to get more access with the energized Qs which should melt by this point, can also change for Bloodthirster because it feels more powerful but you wouldn't finish proccing Jack which is no big deal but all around very surprising build that didn't have me run OoM, feels real tanky and damage never falls off
Now with all that said, it's still not the most damaging build, BlackFire Torch opens up a great build path for max damage, BlackFire > Liandry's / Lich Bane > Lich Bane / Liandry's > RiftmakeShadowflame/Malignance > Rabadon's DC gives best damage, Ult plus W and the burn going so high with the full AP build makes teamfights in the jungle unfair, BFTs AP amp from burning multiple targets is very felt here because of the high AP ratios
https://preview.redd.it/j717pcj8pa3d1.png?width=490&format=png&auto=webp&s=4d56a4a932c0a1cc40c57a4ef4027a236e141567
I did try ER first item many times but it didn't feel very impactful as the others felt, it even felt better to just get first back tear and continue any other build than going for ER first item consistently, Manamune was also nice but didn't align as much with the builds that I mathed out and when trying them out with Manamune it wouldn't feel like you'd spike as much, despite numbers showing like you should, might be a thing of how having burn first slot and sheen option second slot compliments Smolder better but I would never say it's a bad item, numbers do support it being good, statistics show that win rate is similar.
Navori's is dead
There's also another very promising build I've been trying out but didn't try out as much as the others and had bad luck like a double afk teammate game where I was held hostage not helping me fully experience it but I think it might be the best one, Rod of Ages > Lucidity boots > Liandry's > Lich Bane > Riftmaker > Rabadon's, think about it, all of the mana you'll ever need, the best amount of HP you can find on AP items that will convert to extra AP for Riftmaker, the best item from the burn duo, full AP, very tanky, extra level from RoA plus potential Elixir of Skill accelerating you real fast, I beg of you guys to try it out as well, tell me if I'm cooking or nah
https://preview.redd.it/q6s67xtgqa3d1.png?width=480&format=png&auto=webp&s=82cdf0b45d674ab501e6256f8c0fadb05454a542
All of the above builds btw have been tested and easily and very consistently achieve top damage in lobby
14.11 will have the following changes that are significant for Smolder: Crit ratio to bonus Damage on Q conversion is changing to 75% extra damage at 100% crit, making it so basically Q now crits, if we get it so on another patch we also get Q to count as crit damage when you go 50%+ crit for the purposes of making Yun Tal viable, I suspect it might be a perfect change since burn first item proved to feel best when testing last patch. Q mana cost goes from 23-35 to flat 25 Base AD goes from 57 > 60, making early game and Trinity Force proc better
Essence Reaver has AD going from 65 > 70 and cost goes down from 3200 > 3100, making it so it's a 70 AD, 25 Ability Haste, 25% Crit Chance stick with Mana fixing on 3100g, making it a viable first item again for Smolder, if Q became considered crit later down the line I suspect Essence Reaver > Yun Tal > Trinity/Lich Bane > Shojin > BloodthirsteLiandry's to become his next best build or even Tear >Yun Tal > RFC > Trinity > Shojin > Manamune if we get some kind of Attack Speed Ratio somewhere
My expectation is that Smolder will pick up a little bit but still be worst win rate for botlane and might pick up a bit midlane if the better builds start being actually built, many people are still using wrong runes for AP or AP bruiser Smolder, buffs will still be needed, my wish would be for them to add Attack Speed to Ability Haste conversion on one or two of Smolder's abilities to open up build diversity without making him busted, either do it on E or Q or both and that won't be a buff that has Smolder become new Tank Ekko because it will still lean on the squishier builds and same intended weaknesses will be had, Attack Speed converting to Ability Haste on E sounds pretty metal to be honest, anyhow, these are my findings and predictions, what do you guys think?

2024.05.29 06:53 RandomName4699 Interview with the producer of DBXV2 about the arc of the future (Interesting points)

Interview with the producer of DBXV2 about the arc of the future (Interesting points)
I was looking at this subreddit and saw theories about the new saga, so I remembered this interview with producer Song, where he talks a little about the roles of the Patroller and Fu in this story arc, and i think it opens up a lot of theories, especially Fu's fate.

Bandai: What is the concept of the “Future Saga”?
Song: There are two major points: To settle the battle against “Fu” and to depict the struggle for the “future” of the world. This concept is also expressed in the name of DLC.
Until now, Fu has often conducted experiments out of curiosity, causing trouble for the protagonists and other Time Patrollers. However, since Fu himself was not doing it out of malice, the protagonists ended up getting flabbergasted every time.
In Future Saga, however, Fu acts with a clear purpose. And as a result, the battle will develop into a battle for the “future” of not only the “Time Rift” but also that of the protagonists and the entire world.
The Future Saga will be comprised of 4 chapters, each of them has its own story but would be most enjoyable to know the story of Fu if you play all the chapters.
What will happen to you and Fu as you throw yourself into the battle for the future? We hope you check out Chapter 1 of the “Fu”ture Saga to find out!
Bandai: What is the new form of “Ultra Supervillain” that has been newly introduced?
Song: Throughout the Xenoverse series, the “Villainous Mode” and “Supervillain” sorceries have been a source of trouble for the protagonists and Time Patrollers, but in Future Saga, the “Ultra Supervillain” sorceries are introduced.
While it can provide tremendous energy, it is also very dangerous because its impact on history is so great, but it seems that Fu intends to harness this power. This “Ultra Supervillain” will be an important key throughout the Saga, so we hope you will pay attention to it.
Also, the relationship between Fu and the protagonists is also of great interest. Fu and the protagonists have formed a strange friendship through past incidents, and this Saga will focus on the relationship between the two.

2024.05.29 06:52 Twilight-Twigit Intermitant Data B/W out of the ONT

I have gotten to the point I need to test my IP speed daily. I pay for fiber 500Mb but get less than 100 Mb as often as 500 it seems. Since issue is intermitant but can last days Frontier wants to charge me if s tech comes out but can't find a problem. I have a TP6000 gaming router and run an app called tether to test B/W coming into router. I then bought a ethernet to USB adapter so could bypass router and test b/w directly ( passes through two MOCCAs - ethernet to coax to ethernet adapters). Laptop replicates slow data. Never had these issues with Spectrum Internet. When it's running at 500 it is good for days. I live in Riverside County , Ca. Has anyone else routinely tested their b/w and found similar slowing? So the power off ONT & ONT battery backup ( white box that feeds battery voltage even though phone service not used), note ONT will not work w/o the battrry b/u voltage supplied. After 10 minutes with bith powered off, the power on of both did not restore b/w. With laptop connected, had about 92Mb download. Disconnected the battery b/u source leaving laptop on & connected & ONT in. After 2 minutes piwered back up and b/w return to 500 Mb up & down approx. Are their any known incompatibilities between the TP6000 router & a Frontier Fios ONT/MOCA combination?

2024.05.29 06:50 AcceptableMaize8955 Rome is supreme, Pro michael lofton charity and nuance

Im sick of hearing "primacy but not supremacy" its the same thing primacy is defined as "the fact of being primary, preeminent, or more important." and is even used in 1960s Catholic theology books. Affirming papal primacy doesn't go with eastern orthodox theology. Also eastern orthodox can cope with "First among equal!" or "Extra honor but no extra authority!" that's completely wrong to the early church and first among equals isnt a good term, if i were always first at something i would be more supreme then another. In regards to the early church Heres some references, Quoted in “Athanasius Quoted works” page 110 Pope Julius Letter to the eusebians at Antioch “And why is nothing said to us (The Apostolic see) concerning the Alexandrians in particular, are you ignorant that the custom has been for word to be written first to us and then for a just decision to be passed from this place” so he is saying in the matter of disputes matter should be brought to the see of Rome as to make a judgment and this is the east he is speaking to not just his patriarchal territories. Then he goes on and says “I beseech you readily bare with me what i write is for the common good, for what we have received from the Blessed apostle Peter that i signify unto you and i should have not written this as deeming that these things should be manifest unto all men had not these proceedings so disturbed us”
some might say this is peter syndrome where we get all giddy and excited when peter is mentioned and Rome is mentioned but i would like to say Pope Julius said he has received something from the Blessed apostle Peter that disputes in the east should be brought to his judgment to be settled.
Now from the writings of the early Church Historian sozomen source: Volume 2 of the nicene and post nicene fathers second series. Book 3 Chapter 10. Heres what he says about this whole affair of Pope Julius writing to the antiochians and what he ment in that segment “the bishops of Egypt having sent the declaration in writing, that these allegations were false and julius having been apprised (to give information to someone) that Athanasius was far from being in safety in egypt send for him to his own city he replied at the same time to the letter of the bishops who were convened at antioch (convened: to bring together a group of people for a meeting, or to meet for a meeting) for just then he happened to receive the epistle and accused them of having planned clandestinely(in a secretive and illicit way.) introduced innovations Contrary to the nicene dogmas and of having violated the laws of the church by neglecting to invite him to join their synod for he alleged that is a sacral Canon which declares that whatever is enacted contrary to the bishop of Rome is null."
Now from Nicea II Pope Hadrians Letter
‘Stand firm; for if you abide with perseverance in the orthodox Faith in which you have begun and so through you the sacred and venerable images are restored in those regions to their former state—just as the lord and emperor Constantine of pious memory and blessed Helena, who promulgated the orthodox Faith, raised up the holy, catholic, and apostolic church of Rome as your spiritual mother, and with the other orthodox emperors venerated it as the head of all the churches...'"
"...of all the churches... If, moreover, following the traditions of the orthodox faith, you embrace the judgment of the church of the blessed Peter prince of the apostles and, as the holy emperors your predecessors did of old, so you too venerate it with honor and love his vicar from the depths of your hearts, or rather if your rule granted by God follows their orthodox faith in accordance with our holy Roman church, the prince of the apostles, to whom was given by the Lord God the power to bind and to loose sins in heaven and on earth."https://orthodoxchurchfathers.com/fathers/npnf214/npnf2258.html
the blessed Cyril, bishop of Alexandria, says: "That we may remain members of our apostolic head, the throne of the Roman Pontiffs, of whom it is our duty to seek what we are to believe and what we are to hold, venerating him, beseeching him above others; for his it is to reprove, to correct, to appoint, to loose, and to bind in place of Him Who set up that very throne, and Who gave the fulness of His own to no other, but to him alone, to whom by divine right all bow the head, and the primates of the world are obedient as to our Lord Jesus Christ Himself.
St. Damasus, Pope of Rome (A.D. 304-384)
“Although the catholic churches diffused throughout the world are one bridal chamber of Christ, yet the holy Roman church has been preferred to all other churches, not by any synodical decrees, but has obtained the primacy by the voice of our Lord and Savior in the gospel, saying: ‘You are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell will never prevail against it; and I will give to you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven…..Therefore, the first see of Peter the Apostles is that of the Roman church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing” (Decree of Damasus, Roman Synod 382. Patrologia Latina 13.374; Jalland, T.G. (1944). Church and Papacy. London: Morehouse-Gorham Co. p. 255-57)
“For in view of our office there is no freedom for us, on whom a zeal for the Christian religion is incumbent greater than on all others, to dissimulate or to be silent. We bear the burdens of all who are oppressed, or rather the blessed apostle Peter, who in all things protects and preserves us, the heirs, as we trust, of his administration, bears them in us…[proceeds to list a number of errors being promoted in Tarragona (Spain)]… it is also inappropriate henceforth for you to deviate from that path, if you do not wish to be separated from our company by synodal sentence….Enough error on this matter! All priests who do not wish to be torn from the solidity of the apostolic rock, upon which Christ built the universal Church, should now hold the aforementioned rule…[lists more errors]…let them know that they have been expelled by the authority of the apostolic see from every ecclesiastical office, which they used unworthily…[lists more errors]… there is freedom for no priest of the Lord to be ignorant of the statutes of the apostolic see and the venerable decrees of the canons…” (Pope Siricius to Bishop Himerius of Tarragona 385 AD, Epistle 1, Directa Ad Decessorem. Patrologia Latina 13.1132; Ed. Pierre Coustant, Epistolae Romanorum pontificum (Paris, 1721; reprint Farnborough, 1967), 623-638.)
St. Innocent, Pope of Rome (401-417)
The reply of Pope St. Innocent in 417 to the Africans concerning their appeal on the controversy of Pelagius/Celestius goes like this:
“In making inquiry with respect to those things that should be treated with all solicitude by bishops, and especially by a true and just and Catholic Council, by preserving, as you have done, the example of ancient tradition, and by being mindful of ecclesiastical discipline, you have truly strengthened the vigour of our Faith, no less now in consulting us than before in passing sentence. For you decided that it was proper to refer to our judgement, knowing what is due to the Apostolic See, since all we who are set in this place, desire to follow the Apostle (Peter) from whom the very episcopate and whole authority of this name is derived. Following in his steps, we know how to condemn the evil and to approve the good. So also, you have by your sacerdotal office preserved the customs of the Fathers, and have not spurned that which they decreed by a divine and not human sentence, that whatsoever is done, even though it be in distant provinces, should not be ended without being brought to the knowledge of this See, [39] that by its authority the whole just pronouncement should be strengthened, and that from it all other Churches (like waters flowing from their natal source and flowing through the different regions of the world, the pure streams of one incorrupt head), should receive what they ought to enjoin, whom they ought to wash, and whom that water, worthy of pure bodies, should avoid as defiled with uncleansable filth. I congratulate you, therefore, dearest brethren, that you have directed letters to us by our brother and fellow-bishop Julius, and that, while caring for the Churches which you rule, you also show your solicitude for the well-being of all, and that you ask for a decree that shall profit all the Churches of the world at once; [40] so that the Church being established in her rules and confirmed by this decree of just pronouncement against such errors, may be unable to fear those men, etc.” (Pope Innocent I, Epistle 29, to the Council of Carthage (In requirendis). Jan 27, 417 AD. Patrologia Latina 33.780)
Pope St. Zosimus (AD 417)
Innocent’s successor, Pope Zosimus, continued to write letters to Africa concerning the same Pelagian issue:
“Although the tradition of the Fathers has attributed such great authority to the Apostolic See that no one would dare to disagree wholly with its judgment, and it has always preserved this [judgment] by canons and rules, and current ecclesiastical discipline up to this time by its laws pays the reverence which is due to the name of Peter, from whom it has itself descended …; since therefore Peter the head is of such great authority and he has confirmed the subsequent endeavors of all our ancestors, so that the Roman Church is fortified … by human as well as by divine laws, and it does not escape you that we rule its place and also hold power of the name itself, nevertheless you know, dearest brethren, and as priests you ought to know, although we have such great authority that no one can dare to retract from our decision, yet we have done nothing which we have not voluntarily referred to your notice by letters … not because we did not know what ought to be done, or would do anything which by going against the advantage of the Church, would be displeasing.…(From the epistle (12) “Quamvis Patrum traditio” to the African bishops, March 21, 418. Patrologia Latina 20. 676; Denzinger, H., & Rahner, K. (Eds.). (1954). The sources of Catholic dogma. (R. J. Deferrari, Trans.) (p. 47). St. Louis, MO: B. Herder Book Co.)
MG 54.743. Jerome: "I keep the unity in communion with your Beatitude, that is, with Peter's chair. I know that the Church has been built upon that rock." (Epist. 15.1, to Pope Damasus, ML 22.355).
The Roman See is the "Apostolic Chair" or the "Apostolic See." Augustine: "The sovereignty of the Apostolic Chair was always in the Roman Church" (Epist. 43, ML 33.163); "Apostolic See" (Serm. 131.10, ML 38.734).
The Roman Church presides as a sovereign over all the other churches. Gregory of Nazianzus: "It presides over all" (Poems, 2.1.12, MG 37.1068); Theodoret of Cyrus: "That most holy see holds in many ways the sovereignty over the churches of the entire world, especially because it kept immune of heretical corruption, and never a dissenter sat in it, but everyone
The Roman See is the source of all rights in the Church. Ambrose: "From that See derive into all the rights of the venerable communion." (Epist. 11.4, ML 16.986).
"Rome has spoken, the case is closed" ("Roma locuta est, causa finita est"). This famous axiom derives from Augustine saying about the debate on Pelagian heresy: "Concerning this question two conciliar decisions have been sent to the Apostolic See: also rescripts came from there, hence the trial is over." (Serm. 131.10, ML 38.734).
The Roman Pontiffs themselves constantly asserted their primacy, as is shown in the following summary of their doctrine.
They apply to themselves Christ's words to Peter, Matt 16.18 ff.: "Thou art Peter..." and John 21.15-17: "Feed My lambs..." Thus Siricius, Boniface I, the "Decree of Gelasius," Hormisdas, Pelagius I, Nicholas I (Denz. 184, 234, 350, 383, 446, 640).
Sure, here is the transcription of the text from the third image:
The Roman Pontiff is Peter's moral person. Siricius: "[The Roman Pontiff is] the apostolic rock." (Denz. 184). Innocent I: "Whenever a question of faith is dealt with, all must refer only to Peter, that is, to the one who bears his name and his honor." (Denz. 218). Leo I: "The blessed Peter did not leave the government which he received... In his See [that is, the Roman] his power is alive and his authority is visible." (Serm. 32 f., ML 54.145 f.).
Peter remains in his successors. See Leo I, just quoted. Philip, apostolic legate to the Council of Ephesus: Peter "is always living in his successors." (Denz. 3056).
The Roman Pontiff is "Peter's heir" (Siricius, Denz. 181) and has "Peter's See" (Leo I, quoted above; Gelasius, quoted below).
The Roman Pontiff has "the care of all the churches." (Innocent I, Denz. 218; Leo I, Serm. 5.2 ML 54.153). He is "the head of all the churches" (Boniface I, Denz. 233; "Decree of Gelasius," Denz. 350; Pelagius I, Denz. 446, 640).
The honor of writing the last Latin manual of Scholastic theology truly belongs to Emmanuel Doronzo (1903-1976), the eminent sacramental theologian of Catholic University of America (Washington, D.C.) in the mid-to-late 20th Century. He wrote a complete, traditional Scholastic, dogmatic manual in 1966, a year after the closing of Vatican II

https://www.patheos.com/blogs/davearmstrong/2018/02/papal-participation-in-the-first-seven-ecumenical-councils.html since i was reasearching constantinople I i had came across this: "This council also was convoked by an emperor, Theodosius I. [Ibid.] The language of his decree suggests he regarded the Roman see as a yardstick of Christian orthodoxy."
Pope Vigilius came to become Pope amid much turmoil in 537, as his predecessor, St Silverius, had been accused of treason, defrocked, and exiled by Belisarius, the general under Empress Theodora. Silverius had refused to re-instate the monophysite patriarch of Constantinople, whom Pope Agapetus had deposed — even here, a recognition of the canonical authority of Rome to depose and judge the other most prominent and important Sees of Christendom was something the Popes fought bitterly to maintain against the emperors.
Where was this canonical authority established? In fact, it was as old as the Church itself. When Athanasius had been exiled by a judgment of the Alexandrian Church, Pope Julius had written on his behalf (341): “Judgment ought to have been made, not as it was, but according to the ecclesiastical canon. It behoved you all to write us so that the justice of it might be seen as emanating from all.” Again: “Are you ignorant that the custom has been to write first to us and then for a just decision to be passed from this place [Rome]?” For Pope St Julius, the judgment of Athanasius which had not sought approval from Rome was a canonical novelty: “not thus are the constitutions of Paul, not thus the traditions of the Fathers. This is another form of procedure, and a novel practice.” However, the reference of judgment to the Apostolic See was something taught by the Apostle Peter: “For what we have heard from the Apostle Peter, these things I signify to you.”

2024.05.29 06:49 merp450 My boyfriend M20 broke up with me F19 and now wants to get back together

Six minute read *** I was also unable to post this to relationship advice***
So I go to college in CO but am from MN which is where my boyfriend and I met in senior year of highschool. Everything was great, I even moved to CO so that I could go to school near him because he was moving there. Once college started insecurities started to show, after being SA'd by a guy at college he demanded that if I am hanging out with people I have to tell him the names of everyone one there. He also to this day says that I technically cheated on him when I was SA'd because I didn't tell him the name of the guy right away. I've been r*ped for three months in a past relationship so it was an honest trauma reaction when I didn't tell him the name and I told him that. The controlling got worse and worse to the point tha I would be anxious to the point of being nauseous if I hung out with even friends that he knew. If I was asked to go to the club I would have to ask permission which would 100% of the time lead him saying no. I should add that after the SA incident we broke up for three months, I expected to never talk to him again and was really happy being single and free but he wiggled his way back into my life leading to us getting back together. This last winter break I was so done with it, I gathered the courage to have a serious talk about his controlling behavior specifically about him saying I can't go to the club, not because I wanted to go party but because of the fact that he thought he could tell me yes or no. In my mind I was ready to end things based on how he reacted to the talk, but he reacted well and so we stayed together and now I am allowed to go to clubs etc. I also must add that when we are in person hanging out everything is fine, we don't fight, we just chill and have fun. We just don't know how to communicate until things start to boil over because it makes both of us very uncomfortable to talk about issues in our relationship in person (I know that is not good and have been working on it) I do feel that things aren't the same as they used to be, there is a feeling of walking on egg shells around him a good amount of the time, things have been better recently. If one little thing happens he will be crabby and just shut down the rest of the day, even losing a game. When my older sister F(23) came to visit a few weeks ago he said that he would take us to the aquarium, we were getting food at the dining hall at my school and so I went out to his car to invite him to sit with us until we are ready to leave. He was in one of his "moods" and was angry, he just said no and that he will wait for us in his car and then hit the gas and loudly sped away when I was three feet away from him car. Later that night we were all drinking and he admitted with a laugh and smile on his face that he acted like that because he was listening to logics new album or something and "just needed to grind" whatever the fuck that means. My sister was driving in his car alone with him for maybe 15 minutes max. and said that even she felt like she was walking on egg shells and that she understood me now because he would get upset at the smallest things. It honestly just embarrassed me that he couldn't try to be nice around my sister, that just shows me that he doesn't care.
So now to get to the actual story, sorry that I rambled, I am currently visiting my family in MN for two weeks, he is still in CO. A week ago I went to visit one of my only friends from highschool for a sleepover, we went down to eat dinner and when we came back upstairs I saw that I had a missed call from him, I then saw this exact text: "Hey J***a! I miss you a lot right now. I know you're having a fun time out in Minnesota with your friends and your family. I love and care about you very much, I know you know that. It's time to move on from each other. This hurts a lot and I'm shaking while typing this. But I need to fly solo for a while and figure some shit out on my end. " My honest reaction was "I think blank just broke up with me?" My friend was so nice and then asked me how I felt, I honestly didn't feel sad, I was mainly just confused because of how random it was, he was acting completely normal up until then. I tried calling him back but it went straight to voicemail sp I texted him this: "I wish we could've had this talk on the phone. I was eating dinner downstairs when you called. I tried calling but you aren't answering so.
I agree, I feel like we haven't been in love like we used to for a long time, and I think moving on is the best thing for both of us." He never replied the rest of the night. The rest of the night I didn't cry or feel sad, I called my girl friends that I'm living with in CO, after them asking me how I felt and stuff we just started making fun plans for our single girl summer. Every single one of my friends does not like my boyfriend including my sister. They have been telling me to break up with him for months but I am honestly too scared and uncomfortable to, plus things are good when we are hanging out in person so I figured to just not worry about it. The next day my ex snapchatted me asking if we could have a phone call later if that is okay with me, I said sure expecting him to just tell me why he wanted to break up. But instead he said that the night before he saw some old screenshots (from the old SA incident) that made him go into a downward spiral. I will say I said some awful stuff behind his back which was the screenshots he was looking at. He then convinced himself that I had cheated on him and that I didn't actually get assaulted and that all of the times that I studied with my guy friends or hungout with them that we were fucking. So he just sent that text and powered off his phone. I will also say that I have never cheated on him. The next day he woke up and regretted it, he admitted that he also felt nauseous and scared which is think means he was just scared to be alone because we've been together for so long and he doesn't have any IRL friends in CO, so he would've basically been alone. So anyways on the phone the day after breaking up with me he told me why he sent the text and then started talking about how he was sad because he wasn't thinking lastnight, that he was only thinking about the bad things but then started thinking about all of the good times we have had and that that was what made him so sad the next morning. He said he truly loved me and wanted to at least say that he tried to get me back. I was again just very confused and shocked at this information, I tend to feel really bad for people even when they don't deserve it and so when he said he would've regretted this for the rest of his life and that he really loved me I caved and agreed to see if we can work things out. That being said I made sure to let him know that what he did was really shitty and not normal, and that it of course hurt me the way he went about it all. I have been telling him that he needs to go back to therapy for a year and he kept saying no, so on the phone I told him that if I'm even going to consider getting back with him he is going to get therapy. I know that may be shitty and I don't like telling people what to do but that is honestly what I think he needs if we even have a chance at getting better as a couple. At this time we are also planning to see eachother when I get back to CO to have an in-person talk about a lot of stuff. I told him that we can "stay together" but that I need time to think and I don't want to be official until I see major amount of change from him. Which historically has never really happened or the changes he made he eventually let slip and went back to his old ways which were toxic.
So now I am here, not sure what to think. I have been trying to really think about what I want and how I feel without thinking about his feelings but it's been really hard. We agreed to reconvene and see if things are better at the end of the summer, allowing him time to work on himself. But I don't know if I want to do that. I feel like things won't change, only because they haven't in the past when he said that they would. I also don't know how to end things if I were to.
If you were me what would you honestly do? It's hard to end such a long relationship.

Terrence Howard Invokes Spirit, the Lead of Millenialism
Terrence Howard is leverage for a greater plan.
David Nino Rodriguez covers the recent JRE interview with Archaix.
In Terrence Howard's own words in another recent interview... "As an actor you're more like a medium... You really divorce yourself of who you are, and you just become a garment that something else puts on..." Terrence Howard on Daphne Wynn
Millenialism is the false coming of a societies messiah known as the coming of the antichrist and is marked by a distinct rebellion of the "status quo" demanding a revolution hits before the salvation/utopia by God occurs. Seemingly, a political arm devised by the government to leverage society to bring about reformation in a directed manner. This tactic seems often leveraged throughout the annals of time and may have been prolifically sought after by leading empires of their times.
It's hard to say to what degree this is being performed deliberately because of the massive implications. Imo it is a sort of orchestrated cycle on a grand scale that is potentially unavoidable and so it is a sort of "gateway" for powerful groups to exercise their machines.
Millenialism has tried to marry itself with these terms and certain phrases in order to garner a certain trust from specific public and private sectors; Metempsychosis, Palingenesis, Reincarnation, Recapitulation, Rebirth, Recreation, Transmigration, "Burning of a World-Phoenix", "Fin de siecle", "Newbirth of Society"

The Scream (1893), an expressionist painting by Edvard Munch, is a prominent cultural symbol of the fin de siècle era.
In short, the theory is that society is being engineered by powerful groups of people with a common goal to dictate the thoughts and behaviors of society while utilizing a special cycle that occurs within humanity periodically giving a large advantage to the success of the agenda. Deeper within this theory is the respondence of natural events being of a higher intelligence that has been interacting with humanity on a large scale and the groups who practice social engineering actively seeking guidance on how to better achieve success through the correspondence of the natural phenomena.

2024.05.29 06:47 1111anon1113 Official Clancy Theory

Okay kids, gather around. Time for me to say something. No one is saying it so I will.
Let’s be real. This album isn’t that great. The cover art is dumb. The music videos were very low effort and budget. The songs have little to no lore. You know you were underwhelmed. As much as we love watching Tyler and Josh dick around, that’s not what we expected to watch for 1.5 hours when the album dropped last week. This story has been over a decade in the making and this is how you end it?
“I created this world to feel some control. Destroy it if I want…”
First theory: He told us from the start. This album is toying with the idea of destroying this world he’s created. This is why the album cover is a photo of heavy fire behind Josh and Tyler. Tyler wanted to see what happens if he burns it to the ground after all these years. The “it was all just a dream” approach to Josh never having been real and Tyler still being captured by Blurryface is not the ending anyone wanted. There’s something comforting about that though. As humans we have a desire to push through. To survive. None of us want this to be the ending. That’s why it won’t be.
Background: Scaled and Icy was intentionally and conceptually bad. After blowing up with Blurryface and Trench there was great potential to intentionally sell out with the next album, making Dema a meta experience with the real world. Scaled and Icy was conceptually bad because they wanted to make a bunch of pop songs that take over the radio. Had this been successful it would have made the story so so much more powerful, but the songs they made were mediocre. They didn’t end up selling out. If anything, they chased away the fans who started to feel they were getting too old for twenty one pilots. SAI was a flop and must have been difficult for Tyler to experience, especially after years of executing so many of his previous ideas so well. Genius intention though.
First theory conclusion: The album Clancy is remnants of the Scaled and Icy experience. Tyler’s insecurities (bishops, Dema, whatever you want to translate them as) are the reason he’s toying with the consequences of simply destroying the world he’s created. A piece of him may feel that he’s already destroyed it a bit and wonders what happens if he goes all the way. (Side note: There’s beautiful irony though when one considers the belief that “destruction is a form of creation.”) Destroying this world would most definitely look like what we got. Another borderline pop album desperate for radio play with the lore simply being “Josh was never real it was all just a dream and Clancy gets captured by Blurryface.” Tyler made it very clear when he asked on the livestream though. “You tell me. Does this sound like the end?” No, of course not. Saying “Hello Clancy” does not sound like the end.
Second theory: This is all we get. The album Clancy. Tyler is over telling this story for the last 10 years. He’s destroying the world he created because he’s moving on. His lyricism isn’t nearly as passionate as it used to be and maybe that’s because he no longer deals with the struggles/insecurities that haunted him for so long. Everyone’s been wondering why we didn’t get any screaming in this album. He’s grown and is moving on. That’s what we all have to do in real life at one point or another. That’s the lesson to be learned. Create as much as you have to for however long you have to in order to stay alive.
Third theory: Twenty One Pilots have been on the hunt for another band member ever since it originally broke up and Josh joined. All this music has been attempts to find someone out there who can relate to his life experience so much that they understand all these cryptic lyrics with so many levels to them. Blurryface had multiple levels that the lyrics somehow told including surface level mental illness, then religious exploration, and then a fictional yet symbolic story/world he’s created. As much as any of us might relate to this music, only Tyler understands the lyrics to their profound depths they explore. He’s felt alone and in the end, he thinks that’s the case. He’s accepted that. This is why despite Josh helping him so much through it all, he was never there experiencing what Tyler was experiencing.
I’m now going to address you all as a disappointed father. Y’all. The clique is not what it used to be. There is so much to be discovered. Tyler always gives so much for us to discover. The employee at the exhibit is the one that had to show people that there was something to be discovered and that’s where we got “Clancy The Ultimate Chapter 25” from. Y’all, all that had to be done was a simple translation! What is going on with the clique? Remember how dedicated everyone was with discovering Trench? Remember how dedicated was with the simple single “Level of Concern” during covid? Are y’all really gonna pretend to just be content with this album and these lame music videos? What is going on? Dig deeper! That’s the whole fun of being a twenty one pilots fan (other than being convinced not to kill yourself, of course, but as worth it as it is, that’s not always fun). Obviously there is more to this album whether it be a double album, a film, a book, all of the above, whatever. It’s out there waiting to be discovered! Don’t sit around waiting until as late as August for it to be handed to you on a silver platter you lazy victims of late stage capitalism.
I said what I said. Defend yourselves, contribute your input, apologize, theorize, do whatever. Let's just get more discussion going.
This is all. Stay alive, friends. It’s so worth it, I promise.
Personal context: I’m a 25 year old artist. I stopped listening to twenty one pilots entering my early 20’s. But from 14-18 years old I religiously held onto twenty one pilots because my life sure as hell depended on it. I’ve never heard of anyone as devoted to them as I was (neither people I’ve known in my life nor strangers on the internet). Their music was something sacred and I sincerely considered myself the third member when hearing about the few, the proud, and the emotional.
After all, these lyrics aren’t for everyone, only few understand.
I moved to Mexico and lived there from October 2017 - October 2019 to serve a religious mission for a church I eventually ended up leaving. I had no access to the internet or music. I completely missed the Trench era and hype. It was absolute torture when I heard they had finally come out of hiatus but I had no way to hear the music or watch the videos. By the time I returned to the US and reconnected with society, I slowly forcefully convinced myself I didn’t need twenty one pilots anymore and refused to listen to them. (I was also simply scared to fall out of love with something that was once so special to me.) As bittersweet as it was, this helped me grow and mature a lot and my music taste has expanded exponentially ever since. I’m an audiophile, musician, photographer, writer, and a licensed pilot now. As much as I have intentionally disconnected myself from this band, I owe it a lot and will forever be grateful they convinced me to stay alive during such hard times in my life.

2024.05.29 06:47 featherwinglove Tightniks Run Two: ...where the concept of *furnaces doesn't exist...

[Let me know if a chapter a week is okay; I'm thinking it might be a bit too often. Run Zero: https://redd.it/1csb71x Run One: https://redd.it/1cwxbsg]
The mining foreman refused to go to sleep, and watched intently as Tightniks finally reached over and set it home with one hand. Its last nervous little sigh was the only thing he remembered-
The ship is without power, and Tightniks can't run the radar much without draining the batteries...
32s: First trap.
He built it big this time, and there are six trimps in there. They look familiar somehow, the light one with dark hair and an unusually short and broad tail compared to the rest, a big-eared green one, a grey one, a yellow one, and a red one with big paws and "XIII" on its rump, and a brown one with pink ears that takes the lead and cheers, "Kakka!" Once he lets them out, they all follow him intently around like just-hatched birds do their mother. He shows them the busted off cockpit and forward cabin of the ship he just crashed and they get inside and start da- ...nope, sticking with "dancing". He busies himself looking for the survival pad.
Until he hears the squeak of a baby trimp. They're feeding it- ...rocks. Carefully selected, aluminate rocks. What the heck are they doing? Whatever, I've got to get some conventional food for- What's that? He's got the survival pad already, but this was outside the ship, it must have materialized when he descended through that glowing grey mist getting out. He gets it flipped over and turned on.
"Manual portal activation 2 successful:" it displays, "rare shield equipped 54%Stg 14%Atk MT 0 Nu loaded / 399 He loaded / Metal challenge active / Total portal activation 956"
Metal challenge? The human selects it.
"You have the Metal challenge active. Tweak the portal to bring you to an alternate reality, where the concept of Miners does not exist, to force yourself to become frugal with equipment crafting strategies. If you complete The Dimension Of Anger without disabling the challenge, miners will re-unlock."
He's so confused, What the Loy is a Dimension of Anger? I think I have a headache from this high gravity. Sits down for a moment.
Notices that one of the trimps is sleeping in a small deep hole just at the edge of the garden, apparently to have a nap in standing upright.
I don't believe you, "portal". I'm training that one first chance I get!
56s: Pop full.
There are ten of them already?? I'm still working this derpy little potato patch to get enough food to bulk up just ONE of the- He looks at the portal pad and blurts out loud, "Fifty-six SECONDS??" He postulates that he's in a time-dilated environment, and that the portal is measuring time somewhere "out there", this "map frame" environment. It's like those Star Trek episodes he can't remember "Wink of an Eye" and "Blink of an Eye" that he can't quite remember. [One of them is Star Trek TOS, and one of them is Star Trek: Voyager and I forget which one came from where.]
1m57s: Arable in Z1c13.
The human walks along and one of the trimps viciously fights the various hostiles that try to come at him, staying ahead. Just behind, he finds that hole-digger busted into a cave big enough for 9 of them, and they start raising babies to fill it up.
3m37s: Miners in Z1c30.
It's broken! he notices of the data card he just picked up. It's one of the ones that flew out of the ship when he undogged the ship's side hatch, but it didn't survive. What was on it? He's got a vague memory of a big tanuki-tailed trimp, much bigger than the- Wait! This memory is of hole-digger all grown up. So this is- he looks at the smashed data card in his hand, ...this is the Miners card. At least there's some lying about so we're not totally deprived of metal.
That's odd. I'm sure I spent longer training this little guy than "one second map frame." The human looks at the black trimp with the grey head fur and silvery eyes, "So, can you say something yet?"
"Shijou." [Takane and Takanya are not black, it is their favorite clothing color.]
"Okay, can you say something else?"
9m12s: Zone 1, 40 pop, 3.5s RC with Z0/1, 13m19s turkimp. 12m55s: First scientist.
"Tai," his first scientist waves at him.
"Hmm," the human tries to think of a better test, "What color is the sky?"
"Shijou." The exasperated human is about to sigh in despair when he notices a card in its hands, with one word on it, "Blue."
"What?" he takes it, "You can't speak but you can write, huh?"
"Shijou," it twirls its paw off the end of the card in his hand. The human turns it over, and in small writing, it has "Technically, the sky isn't blue, it's a foible of Rayleigh scattering in an oxygen/nitrogen atmosphere. And you have 'TIGHTNIKS' embroidered on the left side of your uniform."
A look of astonishment sweeps over the human. I never taught it about Rayleigh scattering. Apparently, the scientist training has unlocked its brain to access the collected knowledge of a previous life! Then he looks at his uniform and groans, spanking his eyebrows in realization. The trimp had apparently noticed him wandering around the camp wracking his brain and talking to himself trying to remember his own name, and it's right there the whole time! He spanks his eyebrows again.
The very well fed grey-headed trimp starts doing experiments, leaving him to take the turkimp back to his farmers. Too bad it's only a quarter as fast at it as he is.
32m25s: Zone 3, 79 pop, 4.5s RC with Z1/2; c16, 79 pop, 6.8s RC with Z2/3.
"Nano! Nano, nano, nano." The D&B (that's dodge and block) foreman has an impressive yellow mane, light face, green body, and brown hind limbs, and moves like a blur when it decides to. When asleep, it's as unarousable as an exhumed fossil, except with the food article Yellow the scientist calls an "owny geary". [Puchim@s Afuu]
Helping it out is a brown-maned white trenching expert Tightniks finds oddly familiar. It has no problem mining, but couldn't start a fire if its life depended on it, so smelting is out of the question.
I guess that's how the Metal challenge really works. Too bad I suck at it. Tightniks is spending all his smelting time smacking out nails and joist hangers for the houses, and has nothing left for fighting gear.
1h53m25s: Zone 9, 306 pop, 7.9s RC with Z8/15, no turkimp.
The white trimp with the brown head fur- ...whichever one it is because it, or one that looks just like it, sometimes (apparently) burns itself up or blows itself up trying to build a metallurgical furnace. This one is digging a hole right now, into the concrete of some ruined building's foundation. It hits some strapping and rebar, makes a happy sound, follows it along and gets it sorta clear of the concrete bonded to it, and rips it out of the ground to throw on the metal pile. It now seems content to do that instead of trying to smelt ores.
"Red?" Tightniks glances at one of his scientists, "Do you think we could take it to- What's that place you said you visited five hundred years after some misty fight or-"
"Cloudy strife," it says, "Yeah, Midgimp is like that, we could probably map a route through there. Lots of metal. Especially the part that had an avalanche happen and fell down. Broke all that stuff out of the ground already." [Final Fantasy VII and Advent Children cinematic and Sector 7 collapse.]
"Okay," Tightniks says, "Let's do that."
5h32m02s: Zone 21, 2042 pop, 14.9s RC with Z20/232, no turkimp.
"Ooooookay," Tightniks growls, "There is something off about this thing."
"Shijou?" the grey one looks at the yellow one with concern about their human starship pilot friend.
The human stoops, picks up the little green gem on the ridge between Zone 20 and 21, looks at it, huffs, and asks, "Any idea where this comes from?"
"Err..." the red one seems hesitant to say, "I think you made it."
"Really?" the human huffs, "How could that be?" Then he tosses it at Red, "See if anything reacts to it. It might be radioactive, so we should take turns to minimize exposure."
"Really?" Red's holding it now, "What makes you say that?"
"Because I'm pissed off for no reason I can figure out," the human says, "I think it's coming from-" he gasps, "Waitamint!" He starts searching for the portal pad.
"Frags," the red one says quickly, "I think it's arranging a route. You're good with maps," it tosses the gem to the grey scientist.
The human has his portal pad up and reads aloud, "You have the Metal challenge active. Tweak the portal to- yada yada yada. Tiss tiss t- complete The Dimension Of Anger without disabling- miners will re-unlock."
\BOOM\** They turn to see (another of) the white brown-haired trimp'/s' attempts at a metallurgical furnace explode, and it seems both very frustrated and has really hurt its toe.
He snaps his fingers, "That's gotta be it. Although, does it mean 'miners' or 'furnaces'?" He re-reads the portal pad while the scientists shrug.
"Shijou," the grey one has just finished tracing the route map the gem was showing.
"Are we going any faster than on previous cycles, you think?" he asks Red.
"What's a cycle?" Red asks.
"We're stuck in time loop, you realize?" the human says.
"Well," the yellow one jumps off a little rock spire it was using to see farther ahead, directly into a seated position on the ground with an impressive thump the human can both hear with his ears and feel through the ground of the more-than-Earth gravity planet, "that explains a few things." The little scientist trimp seems quite morose at the news.
"This thing says the fastest we've ever got this 'anger' map done is ten hours, thirty-five, but the clock right now is at five hours, thirty-four." Tightniks tilts his head, frowns one eyebrow, and taps, "Getting it done faster increases attack damage somehow, and oh-"
"What now?" the yellow one asks, still seated beside the spire.
"It says we already got a 2.5%-er for having a million traps," the human says, "I don't remember doing that. Maybe..." he sighs, "Maybe that's a good thing, 'cus I'd probably go insane building them all. Still though, it says we're going faster, but it doesn't feel like it."
"How'd you know how it feels," Red asks, "if you don't remember it?"
"'Day jaw voo' I think is the term," the human says, "or something. The sense that all this has happened before, but I'm not quite remembering and there's no physical evidence of it."
"Shijooooooooooo..." the grey one moans, waving a card at him. On it:
"In order, but we don't know if that means chronological order or frequency/proportion of memories:
"- The ship crashes (pretty sure that happens every time) "- The human builds huts "- The human teaches some trimps to speak and do science "- The human builds houses "- The human makes maps "- The human builds mansions "- The human blows up and gets himself killed somewhere around Z17 to Z21, often on a dragimp "- The human only recently/occasionally builds hotels "- The human only recently/rarely tamed a dragimp "- The human only recently/rarely mapped the Dimension of Anger"
Tightniks sits down and offers it back.
"Tai," it flatly refuses to take it back, paws up and eyes closed.
"It's kind of a relief," Tightniks rubs his temples, then looks at it again, "knowing it ain't just me."
6h17m43s: Portal PB, 1% AP for sub-8h, 45 He, 7.149 He/hr, 2209 pop, 13.6s RC.
The last head of the map's boss monster goes limp as one of the fighting trimps' dagger points goes into it, and the huge thing settles on its tail, resting on the package that seems to be the prize of this map. And there's a popping sound, and then something mechanical.
Is that a scroll compressor? Tightniks looks at the package. The deflating monster's lifting envelope material drapes over everything underneath it. "Yellow, Shijou!" he snaps and points, "roll up that side of it. Keep this part from sucking down on the extractor nozzle!"
All ten of the scientists jump in, literally, pushing the gas in the bag towards the compressor. Tightniks as well, rolling up the front.
Until he kicks, and nearly trips over, a smaller package that might be the explanation for the reason why the center of the monster's defense seemed to be a little away from the big package he could see. It's in the right place, he realizes. He gets it uncovered and reads stenciled-and-sprayed block letters on it:
"DT TIME PORTAL / THIS SIDE DOWN"
Perhaps the Dimension of Anger is so named because of the rage suddenly rising up in Tightniks' throat. It isn't so much as the free-floating aggression suddenly has an answer, there is definitely a fresh batch of rage and anger as he grips the nearest Dagger V, Mark 2 with both hands-
Refocusing on surviving the next few seconds, the pilot turns on the radar for the final approach and takes a last look around, then straight ahead at his forward camera and primary flight display...
He crouches, sets the dagger down gently, then starts clearing the debris from the box's grab iron. He tries to lift it- Damn, this is heavy! As he gets it turned over, gravity finishes the job, and it shakes the ground with an impressive thud as it falls right side up.
"DT TIME PORTAL / THIS SIDE UP" There's a square cutout in the middle of one side of it, with a sliding cover at the bottom of it.
"Get the pad!" he screams, seeing that his scientists are almost done rolling up the megablimp.
The grey one already has the survival data pad and offers it to him.
"The big one," Tightniks clarifies, "The big one." he picks up wide flat rainbow cable and its edge socket in one hand, "It goes here," he points at it with the other. "It must have come with me-" He had taken the small survival data pad and notices something, "Oh?" He starts looking around, "Hey!"
The white trimp with the brown hair is napping in a hole next to the smouldering remains of its latest attempt at a smelting furnace.
"Hey, mining buddy!" he whistles at it, "Mining buddy!"
It wakes with a start and rushes over, but doesn't seem to be in a good mood. But as soon as Tightnik shows it the survival pad, with all of the mining data installed just as if all those broken data cards and scorched scrolls were intact when he found them, fireworks goes off in the little trimp's eyes and it rushes off with the pad. Within minutes, the first furnace that works is chugging away at some ore and it returns to give the survival data pad back to Tightniks.
7h24m49s: Fresh turkimp; 7h25m30s: Labor reallocated.
The big-eared green lumber foreman's mood fell much further than the mining foreman's mood was before Tightniks packed up the turkimp roaster and moved just about everyone over to the smeltery.
The brown-haired, big-tailed white mining foreman was surprised at the change, and very happy. It had climbed up onto the helium compressor cart to check something on the pad a couple cells into the zone.
"Are you upset with me?" the red one asks the human.
"No, not at all," Tightniks says, "Are you getting the feeling that we had an upset at this point last cycle?"
"How would you know it was only the last?" Yellow asks, "Your memory's no better than ours."
"Right," the human sews another patch into his uniform, "However, I've only actually hit the switch on the portal twice, the first one on a challenge called Discipline, and the second on a challenge called Metal, which we just finished. It's easy to sort out from the statistics. I'm nervous it'll get harder to sort out when we're up to, oh," done fixing his uniform, he pops a bit of turkimp into his mouth and chews a couple times, "a few dozen or hundred manual cycles."
"Friggin' solve this faster than that, please," Red grumbles, "I know the emergency counter got to nearly a thousand, but..." he kinda trails off. Finally, he says, "I think we're remembering more cycle to cycle as we get more helium into it. I mean, I'm glad that isn't the only mechanic."
"Can't miss the supernova if it is," the human ponders.
"What?" Yellow chuckles.
"I'm remembering something from before all this, I think it was called a video game, where you'd go forward real-world in the simulation of a time loop, and your real-life head remembering what you did on previous cycles was the only mechanic," the human takes another bite, then dons his uniform shirt while chewing it. After his head pops out of the not-so-crisp-and-fresh uniform neck hole, buttons still done up, he finishes, "one of them had a supernova." [That would be Outer Wilds among the bunch of games with this mechanic, er, Minnit (I know it's spelled differently than "minute"), 12 Minutes, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, and- ...I'm sure there are more.]
11h19m28s: Starting void 1 (L30).
With the thermal gloves on, Tightniks gets the void map into the portal device slot. It dematerializes and his fingers close where it used to be in his hands, then he yelps, stands up and starts dancing, "Oh crap, it's cold!" He quickly starts looking for stuff to bundle up. Once not too uncomfortable, he notices something, "You're having trouble, too?"
"No," Yellow and Red look at each other, "Well, not with the cold; this route has a poisonous atmosphere, slows down our young assimilating aluminum at the proper rate."
"Manning the traps will work at full speed, right?" Tightniks says.
"Should if your fingers can handle it," Red confirms.
11h33m57s: Void 1c100.
"You are one ugly muthaf[garble]!" he says when he sees the void boss, "Stay here, I'll be back." Runs some traps, grabs a couple helmets for the fresh volunteers, "Put these on."
"Shijou?" the grey one looks at the red one, really rather perplexed.
"I agree, that's not his usual accent," Red tilts his head, "Tightniks, what has gotten in to you?"
"Stop cheering me up," the human grumbles, "You think this is the real Quaid?"
"I think the cold is affecting him more than he realizes," Yellow offers.
"Phased plasma rifle in the forty watt range," but what the dizzy pilot actually throws at the zone boss is a Mace V-4, "and then I was thinking of breaking your neck."
[Felt like some- "Arnie? Well, the union is pulling out all the big guns today, huh?" (Tom Hanks as Sully) ...no, brain, Arnold Schwarzenegger, not Arnie Gentile (it was really funny to background Sully and listen to that line instead of "That's definitely you" in Terminator 2 while he's posing with the Minigun.) Arnie lines from Predator, Terminator 2, True Lies, Total Recall and The Terminator.]
"Tweak the portal," reads Tightniks from the portal controller aloud, but quietly, "to bring you to an alternate reality, where Trimps are bigger and stronger, to force yourself to figure out a way to build larger housing. Your Trimps will gather 50% more resources, but your housing will fit 50% fewer Trimps. If you complete The Dimension of Anger without disabling the challenge, your stats will return to normal."
"You will also open a new memory coolant unit," Yellow reads, "You think that'll cause a housing bonus?"
"Shijou," the grey one hands him a card saying "We have enough for another gateway."
"Oh, good," Tightniks hands it back after signing it, "Yes, build it."
"We're doing that next?" Yellow asks.
Tightniks sees the little fellow sitting on top of a mound that the human thought was a bowel movement pile from Draglimp, but it must be something more geological if trimps can climb it, let alone want to. "Yeah, I guess," the human answers, "It kinda scares me, I mean I'm going back, but what happens to you guys?"
"We have too much day javo or whatever you called it," Red says. He's usually on all fours, shakes his left hind leg as though something got stuck to his foot, "This isn't incrementing, I'm sure. 13 is less than 956."
"According to this, you'll be twice as big," Tightniks sets down the portal controller pad and stands up from the cart, "It's hard to imagine, especially for Shijou and Diggy. We'll clear thirty-six, that's it."
14h04m37s: Z33c95, IC.
"Are you sure we can make Zone 37 start?" the red one asks.
The yellow one is standing on Red's shoulders.
"It said we did last time," Tightniks taps on the crude leather bag strapped to his back, the portal pad inside it, "though maybe..." he tilts his head, rolls whatever he was sucking on in his mouth for a moment, "it just happened while I was building those traps. No, I'm sticking with that plan."
"If it's going to take that long," Red grinds its jaws sideways for a moment and lets its eyelids get lazy, frustration clear in its tone, "why do it again?"
"Because I've got a bad feeling about this 'Size' thing," Tightniks says, "it drops our resourcing by 75% assuming we build the same amount of housing as before, which we won't because of the reduced resourcing. We needed 65 capacity in the cabin and huts before we could do run the gypsum/paper wall machine we found. I have a funny feeling that never changes."
"We don't need 65 trimps to run it," Yellow says, "just three."
"Yeah," Tightniks says, "but a particular three that know what they're doing, and my day javoo is telling me the last of those is always the sixty-fifth."
"Shijou," the grey one moans from the other side of Tightniks. Didn't have a note this time, just kicking a little rock along as it walks.
"It thinks you're right," the red one growls forlornly, "Hating to say it, but I do too."
14h16m06s: Skel in c1, 50 bones purchased whipimp.
There's a thump at the cart, and then some commotion around it that's noticable enough for Tightniks to come over and take a look. The bone box is empty, all forty-nine titanium bones in it are gone. Tightiks brings his right hand up in front of him, and it's just a balled fist, the bone he was holding a moment ago is gone. As he starts looking for where he must have dropped it, he realizes maybe it's all related. Looking in the bottom of the empty bone box, he finds a note.
"I got you the whipimp. This new Bad Guy will begin spawning in your next zone at an average of 3 spawns per 100 enemies. I hope it helps, but I can't tell yet."
The note is in Tightniks' own handwriting, although lazy but with more consistent kerning. Is this from an older version of myself? Friggin' time travel.
14h18m48s: This L34 moun 160/27/79 calls itself "Magical Mountain" - I can't remember whether the Disney trademark is that or "Magic Mountain" ...I've seen a "Black Mesa" before, that's a Half-Life thing, and somebody on Reddit made pretend that "Dank Hill" was a King of the Hill thing (which is actually *Hank Hill, I think - it's hard to remember, it wasn't very good and I haven't watched it since the 1990s.)
19h32m00s: Doom/AT, 12816 pop, 80N, 37.7s RC with Z34/5298.
"Okay, we got that friggin' thing chocked," Yellow wipes its brow and almost bonks itself with the Mace VI-2 that it's holding, puts it down and makes sure the wedges are secure.
Grey, Red, and Green are packing more stuff around the huge boulder that chased them down a tunnel to make sure it doesn't do that again.
"Getting any day javoo?" Tightniks pants, hands on his knees, but apparently uninjured, or nearly so.
"Not at all," Yellow vehemently responds, slashing the air with its paw, "You?"
"Oh," Tightniks gets his breathing under control, "I think it was a human movie."
"Like a video on that pad?" it gestures at the human's pocket with the small one.
"No, a bigger screen," the human says.
"Fifty-five inches?" the trimp scientist chuckles.
"More like fifty-five feet," the human rubs the sweat out of his eyes, "Lots of people watching. It was called a sin."
"Ah," the trimp ponders, "Like a crime, vice, psychopathy or bad habit?"
"Er..." the human taps his forehead trying to remember, "Sorry, a cinema."
[The whole thing is obviously an homage to something I remember only slightly better than Tightniks, I think it was Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. As I'm posting this, I sadly realize that Nick Rekieta's arrest was between when I wrote this and now.]
19h58m55s: Zone 37, 473 He, 23.67 He/hr, 13088 pop, 81N, 32.1s RC with Z34/5298, 2806 pop short, no turkimp.
The ship is without power, and Tightniks can't run the radar much without draining the batteries...

2024.05.29 06:46 XenoYTRT MechaGodzilla Fan Design

MechaGodzilla Fan Design
Today, I finished a drawing of MechaGodzilla, for this design, I combined aspects of the Kiryu and GvK designs which are my favorites! The lore for this one isn’t really that developed, so I’ll put what I have so far. I’ll start with the shown arsenal. The Mecha has rocket boosters on the back as well as the elbows and calves to increase the impact of physical attacks and to assist in movement (top speed is basically a power walk). The head is large and heavily armored to protect the pilot inside and has hydraulic powered jaws (the inside might be lined with giant meat grinders, but I haven’t decided). The back is lined with missile pods which release clouds of harmful chemicals when detonated. The chest opens up when the weapon inside is finished charging, it’s made to rival a Godzilla’s atomic breath. The tail ends in a weapon comparable to a stinger, once it pierces into an opponent, it ‘injects’ an explosive, operating under the theory that kaiju aren’t as immune to them on the inside. The Mecha also has drones that it can deploy, the drones are more for scouting and distracting opponents with spotlights and noise makers. The drones are shaped like dorsal plates and are normally docked in the Mecha’s back until deployed. As for the pilot, there is a seat in the Mecha’s head that the pilot straps into and puts on a headset that transfers the consciousness of the pilot into the body of the Mecha, hence the Mecha having proportions similar to a human. Originally, the Mecha was designed to be operated by multiple people, the main pilot controlling the Mecha, and others who would operate things like ranged weapons and drones as well as other technical stuff. However, the current pilot was able to operate everything on their own almost seamlessly, and they wouldn’t want it any other way. This pilot has wanted to control the Mecha since it was first being created, mainly cause of their hatred and desire for revenge/power on the kaiju, and also cause their the only one who was crazy/stupid enough to do it. As the years go by and as the pilot trains as the Mecha, they get more and more used to being in that body to the point of developing a sort of ‘phantom limb’ where the tail is and sometimes feel when the Mecha is being operated on, despite being disconnected. The Mecha has also been reported to make small movements on its own, even after being disconnected and powered off. I plan on drawing another version at some point similar to a Heavy Arms or Super variant, with lots of cannons and stuff attached, an then another based on Kiryu and the Earth designs that operates on its own with a much more ‘aggressive’ design. Anyway, what are your thoughts on this guy?

2024.05.29 06:46 Far_Preparation9920 PC building beginner, looking for answers and/or suggestions.

I bought a PC for $400 CAD off of a friend one year ago and this is what came with it:
Cpu: i5-10600k processor Cooling: Cooler master hyper 212 evo Power Supply: Corsair RM850x Video card: Asus geforce gtx 1660 super OC dual-fan evo Ram: Corsair vengeance lpx 16gb ddr4 2x8gb Motherboard: Asus prime b550 plus Storage: Kingston 480gb A400 sata 3 2.5” SSD Case: NZXT H510
At the time, the build cost him ~$1500 CAD when he built it and currently these individual parts total to $1200 CAD on Amazon. I’m thinking it’s safe to assume I got a good deal considering there have been zero problems with the PC and it runs any game I want to play at great performance and quality. I also did a little bit of research on my parts before writing this so I may have some good or bad assumptions here.
First, I looked up my motherboard (prime b550 plus) and noticed that it is made for AMD ryzen processors but I have an intel processor. Could this be affecting my system and performance? Currently, I am assuming this would be my first point of improvement to the PC.
Second, I have two external 2tb HDDs for my media and games so is increasing my internal storage something I should consider a priority at the moment? Does running games off of a SSD instead of a HDD impact gaming performance outside of loading times?
Lastly for gaming, I currently cycle through a lot of single player games (elden ring, lies of p, ghost of tsushima) and will occasionally play fortnite/forza/fifa. I have a 1080p monitor with a 165hz refresh rate. I noticed with most games, my default graphics settings are always high and they run well after a couple minor tweaks. Will my graphics card be obsolete soon and is 6gb still good enough?
I apologize if I have omitted some useful information or if I have included some useless information. All suggestions are helpful, and thanks in advance for all helpful replies.

2024.05.29 06:46 merp450 My boyfriend M20 of two years randomly broke up with me F19 and now wants to get back together.

Six minute read

As a gun enthusiast, I was thrilled to try out the Lee Pacesetter 3-Die Set - 8.6 Blackout 91922. This set of precision reloading dies instantly became my go-to for my 8.6 Blackout rounds. The Full-Length Sizer allowed me to restore cases to their original factory dimensions, making for more accurate and reliable shots.
The Bullet Seating Die worked seamlessly with various point-style bullets and had a simple, yet effective finger-adjustable seating depth, which made it a breeze to use. Its tapered end was perfect for use with automatic bullet feeders.
The included Factory Crimp Die was a game-changer, as it effectively crimped bottleneck rifle cartridges, improving their utility and accuracy. Lee Precision's guarantee that no other brand would offer better bullet runout with full-length sizing dies gave me much-needed confidence in my reload ammunition.
Overall, the Pacesetter 3-Die Set - 8.6 Blackout 91922 by Lee Precision impressed me with its ease of use, precision, and reliability. However, it's important to note that the availability of components for some cartridges, such as 8 X 57, could be improved for a more comprehensive reloading experience.

🔗High-Quality 10" AR Pistol in 300BLK Caliber

I've been using the BBL AR-15 300BLK Pist in my daily life, and I must say, it's a unique and versatile experience. The first thing that stood out was its compact size, which makes it incredibly easy to carry around. However, the length can be a double-edged sword, as it can sometimes hinder mobility in tight spaces.
The user-friendly design makes it a breeze to operate, allowing smooth accuracy during target shooting. On the downside, I find the trigger a bit too sensitive for my taste, which can be a concern for beginners or those prone to accidents.
Overall, the BBL AR-15 Pist 300BLK offers a blend of convenience, power, and accessibility that can appeal to both novice and seasoned users. Its key features, such as the gas system, provide top performance for blasting through targets. However, the combination of its petite stature and delicate trigger mechanism might not be ideal for everyone's preferences.

As a passionate shooter, I found these Lee Precision Pacesetter 3-Die Sets to be a game-changer in my reloading process. These high-quality sets have been a life-saver for me, offering convenience and efficiency in every step, all while maintaining the utmost precision and quality that shooters deserve.
One of the standout features for me was the universal shell holder, which is a life-saver for anyone who reloads using multiple rifles. It's a must-have accessory that adds versatility and ease to the reloading process.
The colored spline drive breech bushings were also something I found particularly useful, as they make die identification a breeze. It means that there's no fumbling around or guessing which die to use when, everything is right there and clearly labeled for easy access.
The Full Length Sizing Die and Easy Adjust Dead Length Bullet Seating Die are top-notch components, providing the accuracy and control that comes standard with Lee Precision products. They made a noticeable improvement in the consistency and quality of my ammunition.
However, the sets did come with a factory crimp die, which, while useful, tends to be less versatile compared to a separate die designated specifically for crimping. Nevertheless, they still offer a comprehensive solution for the majority of reloading requirements.
Lastly, the powder dipper came in handy, and the instructions were comprehensive and easy to follow, making it a great option for beginners or people looking to switch up their reloading method.
In conclusion, Lee Precision's Pacesetter 3-Die Sets are truly a joy to use for anyone serious about reloading – offering top-notch precision, versatility, and convenience, all wrapped up in a remarkably affordable package.

The Lyman 204 Ruger Rifle Two-Die Set has been a game changer in my reloading journey. Featuring the Lyman Full Length Sizing Die- Bullet Seating Die with Roll Crimp, reloading jackets bullets for the bottleneck cases has been made easier than ever before.
The 7.8-inch-14 threads are versatile enough to fit all popular presses and the additional shell holder sold separately offers even more convenience. However, like any other set of dies, I've faced minor issues with stuck cases. But overall, the Lyman 204 Ruger Rifle Two-Die Set is a reliable and high-quality addition to my reloading arsenal that comes at a great value.

🔗Lyman 300 Blackout Reloading Trim Dies - US-Made Die for 7702101 Revolver Dies

https://preview.redd.it/d2asprd5pa3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5eb64576b5744eecb785d34a2dcbf32b7c456f13
My recent venture into reloading brass led me to a Lyman Trim Die 300 Blk, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer. The die effortlessly trims the 300 Blackout brass to the perfect length, without the struggle that often comes with other tools.
What stood out most is the die's incredible quality, crafted from stainless steel for a lifetime of use. Its compatibility with various reloading presses is a bonus that adds to its convenience. It's like the Swiss Army knife of reloading dies, fitting seamlessly into your toolbox.
However, the die isn't without its flaws. I found that it had a rather rough finish, causing a few cases to stick. I had to polish the inside a bit to make them work properly. But hey, no tool is perfect, right?
Overall, I'd say the Lyman Trim Die 300 Blk is a dependable and efficient tool for anyone in the world of reloading. It's a bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it.

🔗Premium 300 Blackout Reloading Dies for Brass Cases

https://preview.redd.it/73ur8hy5pa3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=70a505815cf93233ec2d22dae9fa4c568d5f18ad
Imagine walking into your local gun store and spotting the RCBS Full Length Die Set 300 Savage. As a seasoned hunter, you know the importance of a well-crafted reloading kit. The gleaming steel dies catch your eye, and you decide to give them a try. After all, the store clerk raved about their durability and accuracy.
Once home, you start to unpack the die set, feeling the smooth plastic storage case that houses the dies. The packaging is neat and professional, hinting at the pride the manufacturer takes in their product. You take out the dies, admiring the polished steel and the intricate details. The seating and sizing dies are a perfect match for your 300 Savage caliber.
As you begin the reloading process, you notice a few things that stand out. The sizing die is a breeze to use, easily handling the brass casings without any hiccups. The seat and crimp die is another story, though. You have to use a caliper to measure the depth and adjust accordingly, which is a bit of a hassle.
One aspect you appreciate is the lifetime guarantee from RCBS, giving you peace of mind that this product will last you a long time. However, you also discover that the lock ring on the seating stem is not as user-friendly as you'd hoped. It's so tight that you have to use vice grips to loosen it. This is a bit of a disappointment, especially since you're accustomed to smooth operation from your previous reloading dies.
Despite these small drawbacks, you find the RCBS Full Length Die Set 300 Savage to be a reliable and high-quality tool for your reloading needs. The durability and accuracy make it a worthwhile investment, even with the slight issues you encounter. Overall, it's a solid choice for any hunter looking to save on ammunition costs and enjoy the satisfaction of crafting their own rounds.

🔗Redding 300 Blackout 7.62x35mm Full Length Die Set - Seater Die

https://preview.redd.it/86dr2sf6pa3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b125b44f912608e52f9fbf621414225a97b09a82
I had the chance to give the Redding Full Length Die Set a try, and the experience was a rollercoaster ride.
The idea of getting a full set for 300 Blackout sounded enticing at first, but once I got my hands on the set, I began to have some doubts. Some of the dies looked smaller than others, which threw me off right off the bat. Despite the unusual size, I went ahead and tried out the set.
The decapping/expander unit was a standout feature in this set. It did a great job taking apart new shells while leaving the necks smooth. On the other hand, the seating die left me scratching my head. It made my bullets come out with noticeable scratches on all sides, which made me question the overall quality of this set.
Another feature that caught my attention was the plastic storage case. It was an impressive touch, and it certainly added some convenience. The spare decapping pin and the included Allen wrench were also nice touches.
Overall, the Redding Die Set had its moments, but it also left a lot to be desired. Some parts were good, while others were not up to par with what I've come to expect from the brand. It's tough to say if I'd go for it again or not, but my experience definitely gave me some insights into the set.

🔗Hornady Series I Custom-Grade 2-Die Set for 300 Remington Ultra Magnum

https://preview.redd.it/4qfe40r6pa3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6fa4fca97450f89b6729004e26fadea4d4fabddd

I've been using the Hornady Series I 2-Die Set for my 300 Remington Ultra Magnum firearm, and I must say, it's been quite the experience. The die set is well-crafted, ensuring a lifetime of reloading without breaking or wearing out. It boasts a sleek Zip Spindle design that eliminates spindle slippage, making adjustments much easier.
One of the most impressive features of these dies is the die locking rings, which keep everything secure during the reloading process. However, I found that the full-length sizing and bullet seating design could be a bit tricky to manage for newcomers to reloading.
Another small drawback is the absence of a shell holder, which might be a slight inconvenience for some users. But overall, I've had a fantastic experience with this product. Its durability and smooth operation make it a solid choice for those seeking reliable and long-lasting reloading tools. So, if you're in the market for new dies and haven't given Hornady a try, I highly recommend giving them a shot.

🔗High-Performance Lyman 7701028 Pro Die Pack for 300 Blackout Reloading

https://preview.redd.it/iiy5sod7pa3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c271aa37b73db3510f53d4cd0564853e86a197e0
As a reloader, I've been using the Lyman Pro Die Pack 300 Blackout for a while now and I have to say, it's a game changer. The dies are perfectly engineered for top performance and I can really tell the difference in the quality of my ammo. One of the features that stood out to me is the use of stainless steel in the size, seat, and crimp dies, making them rust-resistant and long-lasting. The sizing dies with carbide rings are particularly impressive for their wear resistance and reduced sizing force.
However, I do have a few nitpicks. The set comes with fewer dies than I'd prefer, but that's not a deal breaker for me. Also, the micrometer adjustable seating die is a bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it works great. Overall, I highly recommend the Lyman Pro Die Pack 300 Blackout to anyone looking to take their reloading game to the next level.

🔗Hornady Custom Grade 8.6 Blackout (.338) Reloading Dies for 2-Die Set

https://preview.redd.it/hnh4jvu7pa3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1ea859e221c5c2e06cfafe7a2383308d0ed849b9
Recently, I had the chance to try out the Hornady Custom Grade 8.6 Blackout 2-Die Set for my 300 Blackout reloading process. I found it to be an impressive and efficient tool in my reloading arsenal. The Zip Spindle feature in the Full Length Sizer Die was a game-changer, making it extremely easy to fine-tune adjustments. The floating bullet alignment sleeve added to the accuracy of the bullet seating, which was a great bonus. However, I did find that it might have been a bit overkill for an average reloader like myself.
One slight downside was the lack of the Shell Holder included in the package, which made it necessary to purchase it separately. Nonetheless, the overall experience using this 2-Die Set was highly satisfying, and I would definitely recommend it to fellow reloaders.

🔗Premium 300 Blackout Die Pack for Reloading

https://preview.redd.it/a0c3icf8pa3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ca6681c07d386575dccafb961bf8e65b40a78105
I recently got my hands on the Ultimate Die Pack for 300 Blackout, and I'm ready to share my take on it. First things first, these dies are incredibly smooth to use. The accuracy and precision they provide are quite impressive, even for a beginner like me.
One of the things that stood out for me is the set's versatility. The 6-die set has you covered for all kinds of reloading needs. Whether you're looking to resize, trim, or even crimp, these dies handle it all seamlessly.
However, there were a few downsides too. I found that the instructions could have been more clear and straightforward. A beginner might struggle a bit with the initial setup, but once you get the hang of it, it's smooth sailing.
All in all, the Ultimate Die Pack for 300 Blackout is a solid choice for anyone looking to take their reloading game up a notch. The pros definitely outweigh the cons, and I'm confident this set will be a valuable addition to any reloader's toolbox.

🔗High-Quality RCBS 300 Blackout Reloading Dies

https://preview.redd.it/3tvhxct8pa3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5ce51432985417372de542a9c15fc596007b1425
The RCBS fl Die Set in. 300 RCM is a powerful addition to any reloading enthusiast's arsenal. With over 60 years of expertise in the reloading industry, RCBS has crafted a Two-Die set that offers exceptional quality. Vent holes on the die set help prevent case damage, while the convenient seater die sports a bullet seater plug and built-in roll or taper crimp.
After using the RCBS fl Die Set for a few weeks, I experienced some minor inconveniences. The sizing die left the case with an oversize dimension, making it slightly harder to chamber. However, the die set still delivered impressive results in terms of accuracy and shooting performance. The die set managed tight three-shot groups within 0.4-0.6 inches at 100 yards, showcasing its exceptional quality. Despite the tiny hiccup, the dies proved to be the best on the market, offering outstanding value.

🔗High-Precision Hornady Die for 300 Blackout Reloading

https://preview.redd.it/8b8ows89pa3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f6512f84be6446b1b01a813514ba2411f0c073c5
I recently had the chance to try out the Hornady Die for reloading my bullets for different projects. To begin, the die's thread pattern was a breeze to work with, offering a smooth and satisfying experience as I handled it. The floating sleeve was a game-changer, ensuring that the bullet and case aligned properly before seating, preventing any deformities at the base of the bullet.
Using the Hornady Die with various bullets, such as the A-Max and FTX, produced some impressive results in terms of accuracy and precision. The die's compatibility with a wide range of bullets made it a versatile and practical option for my needs. On the other hand, not having a shell holder included could be a minor drawback for some users, but the extra features like Die Locking Rings and the storage box made up for it.
The Hornady's lifetime warranty added a layer of confidence and security to my experience with the die. However, a user had an issue with receiving the wrong die set, which could be worrying for potential buyers. I would recommend this product to avid reloaders looking to improve their bullet seating and accuracy while taking advantage of its unique features and versatility.

Buyer's Guide

When it comes to 300 Blackout reloading bullets, there are several important factors to consider before making your purchase. Here are some tips to help you make an informed decision.

Types of Bullet Materials

https://preview.redd.it/k0zg3jv9pa3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=50f2c734ae118fc4c265b69aed1bdffc2e8f4e08
One of the first decisions you'll need to make is which type of bullet material to use: brass or steel. Brass bullets are known for their durability and ease of resizing, but they may be more expensive. Steel bullets are generally less expensive, but they may not be as resizable.

Bullet Weight and Design

When choosing the weight of your 300 Blackout reloading bullets, consider the specific use of your ammunition. Heavier bullets will typically have better stopping power, but they may also cause more recoil. Lighter bullets can be more accurate at long distances.
As for bullet designs, consider whether you want a full metal jacket (FMJ), hollow point, or other type of bullet. Each design has its own advantages and disadvantages, so do your research before making a decision.

Brand Reputation

When you're purchasing reloading bullets, it's important to consider the reputation of the brand you're buying from. Look for brands that have a history of producing high-quality ammunition and bullets.

Price and Quantity

Finally, consider the price and quantity of the 300 Blackout reloading bullets you're purchasing. Look for deals that offer a reasonable price per bullet, and consider purchasing in bulk if you plan on doing a lot of reloading.

Safety and Storage

Once you have your 300 Blackout reloading bullets, it's important to store them safely and securely. Keep them in a cool, dry place away from heat and humidity, and be sure to store them separately from your guns and ammo.
