Salve, avrei bisogno di un reality check prima di fare il passo più lungo della gamba. Siccome alla tenera età di 31 anni nel mio CV ho avuto solo e esclusivamente esperienze lavorative nel settore della ristorazione e turismo (hotel 5 stelle), se optassi per una laurea come economia o ancora meglio ingegneria, potrei avere anche solo la minima possibilità di iniziare una nuova carriera o devo mettermi l'animo in pace e continuare a fare questa vita che francamente mi ha abbastanza stancato? Non che non ci siano possibilità di fare carriera dove mi trovo ora, però mi ispira l'idea di cambiare completamente e mettermi in gioco.

As per checking the "hotel" di pala siya hotel na u can stay with ur friends or workmates isa siyang motel na tinawag lang na hotel parang ganon hahahahahaha. Short time rates lang kase. Hai gess, I will be in Jakarta by myself next week for a7x show. Decided to come 1 day early for the show so I have time to explore mamah kota a bit.

1. Trying to book the hotel around kemang for the first night then move to the area nearest to stadium madya my pick will be either sommerset, mulia senayan, artotel senayan or fairmont hotel. Question, is kemang a good area to stay? Like is it safe? Lots of cafes to explore and foods to try? And then for the second night is it walkable to go from these hotel to the stadium madya?
   
2. Any suggestions for places to visit? Jujur kurang berminat sama tempat wisata yg keluar di suggestion klo cari di google macam monas, dufan, ancol dan mall2 besar. Lebih ke cari tempat yg chill macam cafes and bars pengen coba makanan, snack dan cocktail yg enak. Again, I’ll be by myself so just want to try having a bit of me time with a good vibes.

Cuando estaba en la calle recibí una llamada era de olivia me preguntó que si estaba trabajando ya que avía hablado al trabajo y dijo mi asistente que avía salido temprano y tragando saliva le dije si es que me sentía y quise estar afuera para respirar aire muy bien entonces ya vienes y le dije si y cuando llegué a mi casa intenté actuar lo más normal posible olivia me recibió con un beso y yo le respondí y luego vino mi hija de 4 años casi 5 corriendo hacía mi y por primera vez la ví diferente ví que tenía rasgos que mis dos hijos mayores no tenían y cuando se fue a la cocina a preparar de comer tomé un cabello de la niña y me excuse con Olivia para ir mi despacho cuando entre rápidamente cerre la puerta con seguro y guarde el peló que le arranque Alexa en un sobre y en otro sobre metí un pelo mío los guarde para ir mañana mismo hacer una prueba de ADN y también aprovechando que estaba mi oficina empeze a buscar el iPad entre las cajas esperando que estuviera ahí para mi suerte ahi estaba pero al igual que la última vez no encendia y para cuando la cena estuvo lista Olivia me habló pero yo le dije que no tenía hambre y pase todo mi tiempo en mi despacho pero para cuando la hora de dormir se acercaba tuve que salir y cuando llegué ami cuarto olivia me preguntó que si estaba bien y yo le dije que me sentía un poco mal y ella dijo que si me daba un masaje y yo le dije que no que solo me bañaría y me acostaria cuando sali de bañarme Olivia ya se avía dormido y fue un gran alivio para mí ya que no quería tocarla.
Ala mañana siguente me levanté muy rápido para poder salir de la casa sin que mi mujer se levantará y ya que no quería despedirme de ella, y rápidamente cuando salí de mi casa me puse a buscar por internet sitios donde se hicieran pruebas de paternidad y su puse que aquí en nueva York sería fácil encontrar una, así olvidé mencionar que vivo en nueva York en Manhattan, después de un rato pude encontrar una clínica en un sitio de internet que al principio no me convencía ya que el nombre de la clínica era "Pruebas De Sangre te ayudamos a descubrír si tú hijo es tuyo" pero al final si me decidí ir y cuando llegue me atendieron rápido y dijeron que los resultados estarían en 4 días y eso caería en lunes cuando salí de ahí le llame a mi secretaria para decirle que estaba atorado en el tráfico y que llegaría tarde pero no era cierto fui aún centro de reparación para celulares para arreglar el iPad y cuando llegue me dijeron que tardarían un día en arreglar el iPad ya que llevaba mucho tiempo apagado y con mucha impaciencia tuve que esperar y cuando llegue a casa después del trabajo intenté interactuar lo menos posible con Olivia y ella me preguntó que si todo estaba bien y yo le dije que el trabajo estaba realmente pesado y eso la convenció, Al día siguiente cuando recogí el iPad decidí verlo en la oficina de mi trabajo y yo esperaba que lo que sea que hubiera ahí no fuera tan doloroso dé ver pero si lo fue, cuando lo encendí me di cuenta que le avían borrado la información y pensé que todo estaría perdido pero apareció en la pantalla quiere restablecer la información de almacenamiento guardada en la nube y cuando le puse ok, Vi que decía en la pantalla restableciendo 1800 imágenes y vídeos cuando vi ese número me sorprendi un poco ya que era demasiado y no sabía que también avía videos esperaba que que no todas fueran imágenes sexuales pero resultó que todas lo eran, decidí no ver nada asta que que todo estuviera restablecido cuando miré las demás aplicaciones en el iPad vi que todo estaba bien y vi que las aplicaciones de mensajes estaban bien con toda la información y con todos los mensajes completos y entendí que al iPad no se le borró la Información cuando lo arreglaron sino que alguien avía borrado las fotos y vídeos desde antes y su puse que fue Olivia y cuando vi los mensajes vi que estaban las conversaciones de hace años supongo que Olivia no pudo borrar los mensajes ya que el iPad se apagó y recordé que cuando Olivia me preguntó que si se podía arreglar el iPad estaba nerviosa, pero se calmo cuando le dije que lo iba a tirar y comprarle uno nuevo bueno que bien que no hize lo último. Cuando finalmente se cargaron todas las fotos y vídeos pude ver imágenes de Olivia en todo tipo de posiciones aveces con trajes sexys o aveces totalmente desnuda y también avía imágenes de Olivia cuando estaba en la cama con Daniel y cuando vi sentí que se me partía el alma en dos y sentí que me amartillaban el corazón con cada imagen que veía y mis lágrimas empezaban a correr, también vi imágenes donde Olivia estaba totalmente desnuda en la que parecía ser su oficina en el trabajo despues de ver cientos de imágenes puede ver qué ahora solo me faltaba ver los videos aunque no quería verlos finalmente los ví, En los videos puede ver a Olivia teniendo relaciones en todo tipo de posiciones y con atuendos sexys como de cospley hacia bailes eróticos sabía que a Olivia no le gustaban ese tipo de cosas me entristeci y enojé tanto al saber que usaba y hacia todo eso solo por Daniel y luego pude ver más vídeos donde Olivia tenía mucho sexo con Daniel, tenía relaciones en todos lados podía ver vídeos donde ellos tenían relaciones en parques al Aire libre sin que nadie los mirará también vi que lo hacían en los balcones de los hoteles donde se hospedabam también vi que avía videos de ellos teniendo sexo en su trabajo y también avía un vídeo donde Olivia estaba sacando como copias y ese bastardo iba por detrás y le levantaba la falda y sorpresa Olivia no llevaba ropa interior también pude ver vídeos donde Olivia le permitía a Daniel que se la metiera por detrás cuando ami me lo negó siempre diciendo que era inmoral mientras más miraba más sentí un gran dolor en el pecho y me dolía más al ver en los videos la cara lujuriosa que hacia Olivia cuando tenía relaciones con Daniel y recordé que esa cara nunca la hacia conmigo y en los videos Daniel siempre decía quien lo hace mejor yo o tú esposo pero Olivia nunca contestaba solo gemía y también vi un vídeo que para mí fue el más desgarrador porque puede ver Olivia y Daniel tenían relaciones en un baño muy estrecho pero mi atención se fue hacía el vestido que tenía Olivia recordé que ella usó ese vestido en una de las fiestas que organizo su empresa donde yo la acompañe y quede realmente conmocionado al ver el descaro y la sin vergüenzada de Olivia Ya que no podía entender cómo Olivia se dejó grabar y hacer todo eso sin ningún tipo de vergüenza o remordimiento y después de que acabara de sentir un dolor infernal en el pecho y después de que derrame muchas lágrimas sentí como si todo lo que sentía por Olivia se hubiera esfumado sentí como todos esos años en los que yo la ame desaparecieran como Polvo y sentí como todo lo que sentía por Olivia se convertía en Una Gran rabia y no podía reconocer a esta mujer y pude sentir como ya no reconocía a Olivia como mi esposa sólo la sentía como alguien que debía Ser desechada a la calle.

Hi all, I’m 24 weeks pregnant with di/di twins and already feeling it big time!
I’ve just been invited for a weekend away with my toddler to celebrate a family member’s 70th birthday- all incredibly short notice and I would need to drive to the hotel myself, which is around 2.5 hours from home, as my husband wouldn’t be able to go as he’s got work that weekend.
Only issue is I will be 30 weeks pregnant by then, and I’ve seen loads of mums on this subreddit talk about how much harder pregnancy hits around that time.
Would I be totally nuts to try and do a solo drive that far along? It will involve a stint on the M25 which is probably the worst motorway in the UK… Or is this overthinking it and others have got on just fine? My consultant today said everything is looking good in terms of growth etc, but that I’m high risk for blood clots so would need to wear Dvt stockings for any long car journeys in general.
Am I even likely to fit behind the steering wheel at 30 weeks?!

We (wife, myself, child) will be travelling to Dolomites in mid-June. I have some questions about our high-level plan. I was hoping to get some advice from you.

1. Pick up rental car at Venice Airport - We will actually be taking an airport shuttle like Tripst Air or Go Opti from Ljubljana to Venice Airport. I suppose the drop off would be at the departures location. How do I navigate from there to rental car location?
   
2. Which rental car company to choose? - Book direct with Hertz, Avis or book with something like AutoEurope? I suppose all rental car companies are at the same spot for pickup?
   
3. How are the roads from Venice to Dolomities? - We are staying in a hotel near Lago di Braies and we are planning to rent an SUV (example Audi Q3), but I am not sure how easy of a drive it is. How is it? and is that size of car okay? Any recommendations on size?
   
4. After the trip to Dolomites and back to Venice airport, we will drop off the car and get a train to Rome. So, how to navigate to the train station in Venice from the rental car return location? An Uber I suppose?

So, I (26F) was cut off by my friend of 10years. So we've been friends for over 10years now kung hindi niya ko kinut off hahaha. Una sa lahat, at sa pagkakaalam ko, naging mabuting friend naman ako. Not the best (because maldita ako) but good. So this friend of mine ay laging MIA. Either nasa malayong lugar or hindi lang nagpaparamdam. Last contact namin 2022 pa and honestly nakalimutan ko na din siyang kamustahin sa sobrang pagkabusy.
A little background. Group of 3 kami and nagkayayaan kaming magbakasyon somewhere south. Unfortunately, hindi nakasama ung isa naming friend so kami nalang dalawa ung natuloy. During planning oks pa naman. Excited pa kami pareho. Ako ung pinakanagpaplano pero sa lahat naman ng desisyon kasama siyang nagdedecide. Mula sa travel & tours na ibubook to hotel kasama siya sa pagdedecide. Nagsesendan pa kami ng mga resto recommendations kung saan tipid at masarap😋.
So D' Day came. At boom! Lumabas ang mga problema. First, nasa terminal palang kami ng roro worried na si Friend sa budget niya. Hindi pa kami nakakasakay sinabi na niya sakin kung magkano nalang matitira sa pera niya minus ung pambayad sa T&T na di pa namin fully paid. So sinabi niyang amount medyo kinabahan na ko. Less than 1k nalang kasi. So meaning si Friend di nagready enough considering na medyo matagal na naming pinlan tong trip. Sabi ko sa kanya papahiramin ko muna siya, and Yes I offered dahil ganun kalaki tiwala ko na ibabalik niya kahit sa loob loob ko kabado na din ako kung pano ko pagkakasyahin ung perang dala ko para saming dalawa. Second, hindi AKO makakain sa gusto kong place because ofcourse, need ko siya consider. Sa lahat ng foodtrip naggigiveway nalang ako kasi nga si Friend walang dalang enough money.
Kahit daming naging problema sa trip infairness naenjoy ko naman siya. Yung nga lang ayoko na umulit kasama siya kasi grabe ung burden. Imbis na makapagunwind ako nastress pa ko lalo. Ang kinakainis ko lang, after the trip, nung nakauwi na kami nagchat siya na ayaw na niya umulit din kasi natrauma daw siya 😂😂(ako din tii). Di ko pa siya nyan inoobliga na bayaran ako agad though pinakita ko na nainis ako.
So ito na talaga kung pano ko natuklasan na she cut me off. Few months ago nakasabay ko sa jeep si Friend. Pagpasok palang niya namukhaan ko na siya kahit nakafacemask pero ako di niya ata napansin. Hindi ko din kinall ung attention niya kasi after nung trip hindi na talaga kami nagusap bukod dun sa nagbayad siya partially sa utang niya. Pagkarating ko sa work chinat ko agad ung isa naming friend at sinabi kong nakita ko nga si ate mo gurl sa jeep pero parang di niya ko namukhaan. Dun ko naisip na istalk si gurl and boomshakalaka! Nakaunfriend ako sa socials niya hahahaha akala ko pa nakablock kasi wala siyang profile picture that time buti unfriended lang.
Hanggang ngayon iniisip ko anong mali ko para gawin niya. Ikakasal ako in a few weeks at balak ko sana siyang kuning bridesmaid bago ko nalamang inunfriend niya ko.
Wag na sana makarating to sa tiktok kasi may mga nababasa ako dun ahhahahahaha

Hey, all! Would appreciate some feedback on our first stab at an itinerary for our visit in mid-June. We're a group of 7, my wife and brother, our kids ages 12 and 14, and my spry parents who are in their mid-70s. We're interested in seeing the major sights, visiting parks and shops, and strolling through fun neighborhoods. We plan to walk a lot and take the Metro when it makes sense. Here's our current plan:
Day 0: Arrive at apartment in Le Marais at 3:00p. Chill and hang out in Le Marais.
Day 1: Walk starting on Rue Montorgueil and heading to Jardin du Palais Royal, Tuileries Garden, Place de la Concorde, then crossing the Seine at Pont Alexander Bridge, and strolling Rue Cler, Champ de Mars (Eiffel Tower view) and Trocodero Square. Dinner back at Le Marais and find a TV to watch France play Austria in the Euro Cup at 9:00p.
Day 2: Montmartre stroll with visit to Sacre Coeur, then Palais Garnier, Galleries Printemps and Lafayette, and Passages Verdeau, Joufroy, and Panoramas.
Day 3: Guided tour of Left Bank and Latin Quarter from 10a-3p, Arc di Triomphe in the afternoon, and Seine Cruise at night.
Day 4: Il de la Cite, Hotel de Ville, Place des Vosges, and Le Marais stroll. Guided tour of Musee d'Orsay from 6-8:30p.
Day 5: Flight to Genoa
Are there days where we're just too ambitious? Looking at you, Day 1. Given our interests, are there any key spots/activities I'm missing and should add or stops to make along the way? We're new to the city and while it makes sense to us on paper, we know the reality may be quite different. Please be gentle. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Di post ini, aku mau cerita bedasarkan kisah nyata dari sebagian besar orang yang pernah ngobrol sama aku (plus dengan pengalamanku pas bersama mereka) dan mungkin ini bisa menggerakkan hati atau kita makin positif sih. Ada 2 cerita yang bakalan aku bahas, dan kalian bisa pilih aja mau cerita mana yang mau kalian baca. And ofc, i make it short to save everyone's time.
The story has 2 perspective : Gojek, dan Tukang parkir (niatnya mau ada tambahan 1 lagi, yaitu cerita tentang guruku.. maybe next time i guess.)
Let's start with Gojek.
Gojek Kejadian ini terjadi pasca tahun 2021-an (kalo ga salah). Ceritanya, Sahabat jauh dari solo pulang ke sentul dan aku main sama beliau sambil ngobrol bareng kondisi-nya disana. Kami bercengkrama sampai dengan jam 8 malam, dan aku memutuskan untuk pulang (karena nyokap udah nyariin). Aku akhirnya dianterin pulang dengan mobil nyokap sahabatku yang kebetulan lagi satu jalan dari AEON. tapi, aku denger kabar kata-nya bokap-nya temen tiba-tiba sakit dan Nyokap-nya perlu beli obat. Aku nawarin untuk nemenin beli obat + nunjukin apotik terdekat, tapi akhirnya aku cukup minta diberhentiin aja di Lampu merah dekat CCM. Karena aku takut-nya mengganggu juga + takut pulang kemaleman. Cukup ucapan semoga cepat sembuh, dan akhirnya pergi ke kantor polisi perempatan CCM buat pesan Gojek.
Jujur, aku kaget ketika yang dateng ketika pesen Gojek yang dateng adalah perempuan. Aku ga permasalahin kamu kerja jadi apa... tapi dengan kondisi malem seperti ini dan beliau berani narik Gojek? oh my. That's a daring move and deserve my respect. Tapi pas aku mau naik, beliau bilang.. ini baru pertama kali dia ambil pesanan malem-malem dan kebetulan aga capek (kalo ga salah inget). Aku tawarin untuk ngendarain motornya (it was a scoopy. its has good handling but slow as snail speed. but it has good fuel economy. hehe, maaf terlalu mendiskripsikan motornya).
Kami ngobrol di jalan dong... tanya-tanya abis ngapain dan ini itu. Sampai aku nanya ke beliau "Ibu kenapa mau kerja jadi Go-Jek?". Beliau dengan lumayan santai-nya bilang something along like "Karena ada-nya ini pada saat ini, dan saya harus membiayain kedua anak saya". Aku sambil mengucapkan maaf nanya kepada beliau "Maaf bu, saya kalo boleh nanya.. Suami ibu apakah tidak kerja?". Beliau bilang "Suami saya kabur". That bring a chill on my spine... karena ini ngobrol secara langsung. Beliau bela-belain Nganter barang sampai malam, dan bahkan nyoba nge-gojek. it's somewhat shows how mother figure should always be. She wants nothing but her kids to become succeed and didnt end up like her.
And today 2024, i share her story to here... it shows that maybe even at the very rock bottom, you cannot see down but only up. and you need to keep on going whatever your situation is.
okay, Mari kita langsung aja cerita kedua.
Tukang Parkir Mixue Miksu (ga boleh nyebut merek meskipun keliatan dikit, atleast its for the sake of the funni)
Nah, ini sebenarnya kejadian yag masih baru-baru banget. Cerita-nya ini abis ngampus.. Karena lagi kepengen makan eskrim, pergilah aku ke Miksu deket Sate Tegal Laka-laka yang ada di cibinong. Kebetulan disitu ada tukang parkir (yang kebetulan sering ketemuan dan dia ramah).. ngobrol lah aku sama beliau. He give me many wise words dan saran sebelum beranjak ke dunia yang bener-bener dewasa. it was all fun and game.
But then, i ask him... "Tapi pak, dengan pemikiran dan wawasan yang luas. Kenapa bapak jadi tukang parkir?" He said ketika beliau di pelabuhan tanjung priuk, dulunya dia kerja sebagai pengangkut barang dan disukai sama bos-nya karena etos kerja-nya yang tinggi (Sambil nunjukin kertas kerja-nya, dan dokumen penting lainnya ketika kerja di pelabuhan tanjung priuk. I was surprised how did he trust me to the point to show me this). He got paid handsomely, dan dia kerja dari pagi ke pagi. Sampai ketika orang dalam plays along dan kompetisi yang ga sehat mulai masuk. Dia suka disenggol dan begitu sebagai-nya... dan bahkan sudah berfikir kalo sebagai pengangkut barang udah bukan passion dia lagi (karena terkadang dia mesti berantem pas ngangkut barang di jalan entah sama pungli, dll).
Dan dimasa dimana dia udah kepala 5 atau 6 ini (kalo ga salah). Dia hanya ingin meninggal dengan tenang aja. Dia bilang sama aku "Keinginan muda dan tau pasti berbeda. Semakin kamu tua, kamu semakin belajar kalo dalam hidup itu ga semuanya bisa kamu dapatkan. tapi kamu ga boleh nyerah, dan harus tekun".
He's respectable person... even as tukang parkir. Maybe some people doesnt have a choice and ended up like him. Bahkan orang berjasa kayak beliau aja di-injek". like damn..... Hope he's having a good day

I've been to more than 5 places in Batangas for freediving, but this place is the worst that I have to create a post about it.
As an anxious person I am booking my adventures and gala ahead of time, like 2 weeks before nag bayad na ako ng downpayment sa kanila, Since 2 groups kami and iba iba yung kukunin na package ng mga kasama ko I created a very detailed list for them and also called them kasi nalilito yung kausap ko sa page nila. After ng call okay na and na clarify na yung booking namin.
1 DAY BEFORE the event, biglang nabigay daw nila ung isang house na binook namin kasi nalito daw sya. Sent him the screenshot of our conversation na sobrang clear ng usap namin. Then ayun okay na daw nagawan na ng paraan sa iba nalang daw pag stastayin ung mga tao na nilagay nila sa house.
Nag message ulit kinabukasan, di na daw talaga pwede kasi may senior daw dun sa isang group na nilagay nila dun sa house na dapat samin, di daw kasi kakayanin ng seniors umakyat dun sa alternative kubo rooms. Parang kami pa may kasalanan sa pagiging super irresonsible nila. They offered discount of 2k sa accomodation pero sobrang di worth it kasi ang laki ng difference ng accomodation, wala pang sariling banyo ung mga kubo.
We arrived at saturday night kala ko dun na mag tatapos kalbaryo namin. Mawawalan daw ng kuryente kinabukasan 6am to 6pm. So almost 3hrs lang tulog namin kasi late na kami naka settle around 3am and nagising kami ng 6am kasi pinagpapawisan na kami. Alam kong di nila kasalanan kung mawawalan ba ng kuryente pero responsibility nila na I warn kami ahead of time and dapat meron man lang silang generator or something to make the guests comfortable man lang.
Sabi ko pa "Imagine kung nawalan pa ng tubig eh no, sobrang swerte naman natin" Nawalan rin ng tubig that day kasi nag rerely ata yung water system nila sa electricity.
And guess what, wala man lang silang poso or backup na drum ng tubig para sa guest if ever mangyari to. Umuwi kaming lahat ng walang ligo, sobrang lagkit, nainitan.
They gave us 300 discount each dahil sa nangyari, at that point sobrang manhid na ako di ko na kaya magalit sa kanila kasi sobrang trahedya ng nangyari.
Eto bonus pa, clear naman na sinabi ko sa kanila na ang pakay naman dun is yung SCHOOL OF JACKS, yung na nga yung sole reason kung bat namin pinili tong resort na to kasi tapat lang nila yun. The day na pumunta kami may mga maritime na nagtratraining sa area kung san tumatambay yung jacks, and bawal pumunta don. Triny nila pakiusapan pero di sila pinayagan.
Sana man lang na warn nila kami about dun, responsibility rin nila naman na alamin ung mga ganong bagay kasi inassure na nila guests nila. Sana nakapag cancel pa kami diba kung sinabi nila na di rin naman namin makikita yung jacks.
Be careful when booking your dive at this place, sobrang irresponsible, walang social awareness yung may ari, sobrang bastos na ng ginawa niya sa amin, tas kung kausapin kami kala mo wala siyang atraso, kala nya mga bata lang kami na madaling mabilog. Sobrang inhospitable ng lugar na to grabe, di lang sa diving pero sa buong experience ko sa pagbobook ng hotel eto talaga WORST.

We just got back from a wonderful trip in the northern part of Italy with our 3-year-old. Having spent 2 weeks on one of our best trips so far, I really want to thank a bunch of fellow redditors who helped refine our itinerary and suggested places which otherwise would not have made it to our plan!
Day 1 Milan: We took a flight from India and landed in Milan in the afternoon. Milan was just the arrival point for us and we did not intend to visit Milan as such, so we ended up booking a room in the hotel at the Malpensa Airport itself. Nothing much that day; a bit of rest and a delicious dinner were a great start to our trip.
Day 2 Drive from Milan to Bellagio: Woke up after a good night's sleep (a much needed one after the long sleepless flight the day before). Breakfast at the hotel was really good with a lot of options for everyone. We had booked a car through SIXT at the Malpensa airport. Getting the car was a breeze with great service from the representative at the SIXT counter. The drive to Bellagio was a very good one. I was still getting used to the car, since I come from a land of right-hand drive and switching to a left-hand drive meant putting in a lot more focus on the road. Driving along the Lake Como was a fantastic experience. We reached Bellagio by lunch time and our AirBnB was ready for us. The rest of the day was at leisure, with a casual walk around Bellagio, through the city center and along the lake.
Day 3 Bellagio to Varenna: Took a ferry to Varenna and had breakfast at a lake side cafe. With great weather on our side, a cup of coffee and a little pastry seemed more blissful than we thought of! We had signed up for a picnic on the hills of Camaggiore, a 40-minute drive from the Varenna ferry station. We had our representative waiting for us and she drove us to the picnic spot, sharing tales from the towns of Lake Como, showing us amazing views along the way. The picnic itself was surreal, with the most beautiful view of the lake from 1200 meters above. We spend the rest of the day exploring Varenna at our pace, while our little one slept like a log in the stoller.
Day 4 Bellagio: After debating weather to visit the Como town or not, we decided to stay in Bellagio in explore the town a bit more. We took a ride of the Bellagio Express, the toy train that takes you around the town. It was a fun ride, intended for our toddler, who decided to doze off in the train itself! Post that, we saw the gardens of the Villa Melzi. We had rented a boat to explore the lake ourselves during the evening, but rainy weather made us cancel our plans. We spent the rest of the evening, relaxing at our AirBnB, overlooking the lake.
Day 5 Drive from Bellagio to Gardaland: Moving on to the next leg of our trip, which was clearly planned keeping our little boy in mind, we drove to Gardaland reaching there by noon. Thanks to a wonderful fellow Redditor, we got introduced to this wonderland called Gardaland! Our stay was booked at the Gardaland Hotel and while we were waiting for our room to get ready, we decided to pay a visit to the Gardaland Resort park right away. A drizzly weather kept most of the visitors inside the SEA Aquarium, but that also meant we had absolutely no waiting times on most of the rides in the park! The little one was elated to see the Peppa Pig Land, and refused to move away from it. All in all, day one in the park was a super success despite the wet weather. Evening at the hotel was full of fun-filled activities for the kids. The entertainment team at Gardaland Hotel did a fabulous job at keeping kids engaged.
Day 6 Gardaland: Our second day in the Gardaland park was a much more planned one, since we had already explored some of the park on the previous day. We knew the rides we wanted to go on, and so logistics were simpler. Weather was great too, and so we had a wonderful time! The park has a plethora of options to eat, with a ton of sweet treats along the way. The park is huge but very well laid out with clean facilities. Naturally, day two also could not be completed without visiting our favorite Peppa Pig! Evening at the hotel was again fun-filled with the team at Gardaland doing what they do the best!
Day 7 Parco Natura Viva: Gardaland is in proximity to a lot of amusement parks and points of recreation for family and friends. One of them is Parco Natura Viva, a zoo with a drive-through safari. It was a Saturday and the zoo had enormous waiting times for the cars to enter the Safari. After having waited in the queue for over an hour, we finally started the Safari, which turned out to be pretty great. Next, we had the fauna park (the walkable part of the zoo), the one with animals in their enclosures. With the entire park divided into geographical zones, it was fun seeing animals from various continents. The place is well-maintained, and creates a great experience for kids.
Day 8 Verona: We had kept an extra day in Gardaland just in case the little man wanted to visit the park again. However, given the proximity, we decided to do a day trip to Verona instead. We drove to Verona and parked our car in one of the paid parking lots. We had reserved a morning slot for a walking tour, that took us through the streets of Verona, with our very knowledgeable guide sharing tales from historic Verona, the castle and gate to the old city center. The center was bustling with stores and eateries. Very touristy but was all the more fun! Our taste buds were craving for some Indian food and we ended up having lunch at an amazing Indian restaurant named "Maharajah". The food was delectable with very prompt service. As touristy as it sounds, we did go to "Casa di Giulietta", commonly known as Juliet's house that is known for the legacy of Romeo and Juliet having been inspired from there. The so-called Juliet's balcony is missable at best.
Day 9 Drive from Gardaland to Venice: Switching to the last leg of our trip, this was supposed to be the wife's part of the trip. She has wanted to visit Venice for as long as she remembers, and this trip could not have happened without a leisurely stay in the city of canals! This was also the last day of us keeping the car, and we drove to Venice Marco Polo Airport where we returned the car at the SIXT counter. Once again, just like the pick-up the return process was extremely smooth and lasted barely a couple of minutes. Our plan was to catch the Alilaguna airport water bus to the main island, but we decided to splurge at the last moment and took the water taxi instead. And boy were we happy! The water taxi is an experience in itself, especially when entering the canals from the airport. Our AirBnB was located right on the Grand Canal, giving us uninterrupted views of the Canal. For a place that looked better in person than in pictures, what more could we have asked for! We spent the evening walking to the Rialto Bridge, people-watching!
Day 10 St. Marks square and Dodge's Palace: After a good night's sleep, we woke up refreshed, taking in the morning views of the Grand Canal, with the gondola's and the various boats floating by, doing their chores for the day. We had booked a tour of the St. Marks square and the Basilica, along with the Dodge's Palace. Unfortunately, it had to be a rainy day. While we still participated in the tour, the place became very crowded because a lot of people tried to maximize on the time indoors to avoid the rain. Nonetheless, it was a good experience. The little one dozed off in the Basilica and so we let my wife carry on with the tour of the palace, while I took a table under an umbrella at the Cafe Lavena to get myself some coffee, and to let my son enjoy his sleep. Day 11 Murano, Burano and Torcello: We woke up early, fixed ourselves some breakfast and were ready to leave. We had booked a tour of the 3 islands and our job was to get to the meeting point as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we missed our group and had to visit the islands on our own. The upside to this was that we could do it at our own pace! This included having a hearty lunch at a beautiful local cafe in Torcello. This place had a chidren's play area too! This also meant spending more time than necessary in Burano, because why not? We loved the colorful houses on the island and we just wanted to be there, taking in everything it had...
Day 12 Leisure and Photoshoot: My wife and I generally have this idea of booking a small photoshoot at every exquisite location we visit. This not only gives us great pictures for memories, but it also allows us to see areas which we would otherwise not know existed. We booked this experience through AirBnB and our photographer was a wonderful man, very learned and a true Venetian at heart! He took us to places that were free of tourists, for some amazing pictures. Not only that, he also arranged for a special Gondola ride for us, which took us through the narrower canals of Venice, adding to the already special experience. A trip to Venice is really incomplete without a Gondola ride, and we were glad we could! This was the last evening of our trip and we could not conclude it without a few more Aperol Spritz's and Gelatos from Suso!
With every trip we take, we learn a lot, that helps us make our future trips better. We consciously chose to skip the more popular locations like Rome and Florence (Tuscany), since we wanted to have ample time of leisure and just do nothing, with a toddler who wanted to just be.
If I could summarize the learnings of this trip, they would be:

• Travelling with a toddler is great, if you leave a lot of room for rest and leisure. It not only allows you to be, but it also leaves scope to rome around the place and absorb the local life beyond the tourist favourites
• Lake Como has a lot to offer. While day trips from Milan sound good, staying in a Lake Como town lets you enjoy the serenity of the lake in a more intimate manner. A couple of days at the least, three days to make it worth while.
• Driving around Lake Como can be fun, but can also become a bit intimidating if you are trying to drive slow on the roads that circle the lake and there are cars behind you, trying to get ahead. Staying calm is the key!
• Gardaland is unchartered territory for people outside Italy, and if travelling with kids, must find a place in the itinerary.
• We had a lot of people advising us against spending 4 days in Venice, but we do not regret it even a bit. Venice is a city unlike anything we've been to so far. It is very difficult to imagine the daily life of the people living there, unless you decide to stop and slow things down yourself, experiencing the little things that the place has to offer.
• It is absolutely ok to not cover every point of interest at a place you are staying. Ticking everything off the list does not give the same satisfaction as enjoying the few things that you do, at a pace that you like.
• Lastly, strollers are a boon, even with the cobbled streets. They serve a great deal for quick afternoon naps, as well as meal times. It indeed is a pain carrying them over the hundreds of bridges in a place like Venice, but the pros still outweigh the cons.
