Hey there, actually im writing a script for excel automation. I have a Module excel_reader and a Gui Module with a simple Gui in Customtkinter.
Now i want to show an ErrorMassage per Gui if something fails in the excel_reader.
I've struggled a bit with circular imports and i wanted to do "best-practice" like. I'm not a professional so its more to learn to do it the right way.
Actually i changed my code a bit with a try except in the constructor of the excel_reader.
Then when i initialize the object in the Gui, i also try except. I think there are better ways to implement multiple exceptions which can occure during the initialisation of the Object.

First thing is Iโ€™m a huge nerd for anything sci-fi or fantasy. I love to escape reality so I enjoy games like halo, mass effect, dragon age, dark souls, destiny, crusader kings 3, Stellaris, elden ring, assassins creed (mostly the original series), fall out, Skyrim and some others I cannot think off.
While escaping reality I also love watching movies but more so space related as the never do fantasy justice. My top movies in no order are; how to train your dragon, kung fu panda, gladiator, interstellar, dredd, guardians of the galaxy. There are more but I cannot think of them right now lol
So if Iโ€™m not gaming or watching movies Iโ€™m either star gazing or in the gym. I go to the gym 5 times a week and i am training to be as strong as my body will allow me. I wonโ€™t say my best lifts here but if interested send me a message and ask as I do enjoy talking about the gym life.

Ello there /R rivenmains, I would consider myself mechanically comfortable with riven and main'd her for a several years (plat avg). It's only been recently I not only got back into league but playing riven top ofcourse.
ITS BEEN A WHILE THO, I don't really know what to build or how I should be playing riven in the current game state. (More so I can't find anything on youtube, that isn't cringe or way over DUH'dified, fuck Daveyx3 and retrad, even I can tell these losers are bad at riven and I don't trust their advice.)
I would love to hear what the best baseline build for riven is now, and how the matchups for her are nowdays. I realize every game and matchup is situational but; I would appreciate any suggestion on item builds, counters, runes, items vs diff lane opponents, mid vs top riven, should I still be agro AF lvl1, what items are good/never build, anything would be great to know! I'm even seeing BC is a nice item again, is this only when for when you're ahead?

Hey everyone just wanted to get on here and tell everyone; DO NOT USE THE GAME OPTIMIZER, OR NORTON AT ALL. I recently built my pc a few weeks ago , 4070 super , 13700kf, 32 gb ram, and a etc, for a while I was using a Tv as a monitor and for the life of me i was getting the absolute WORST keyboard input lag and tearing. Games like Fortnite, Starfield, Valorant, even singleplayer like RE 2. Iโ€™m thinking itโ€™s because of how my tv isnโ€™t really meant for this type of stuff. So I upgrade my monitor. Dell G2742D, 144 hz. STILL TERRIBLE KEYBOARD INPUT LAG. iโ€™m running on ultra 1440p settings so i drop to highโ€ฆmedโ€ฆlow! Maybe my hardware is just sht? Or wifiโ€ฆ SO I BOUGHT FIBER WIFI. STILL HAVE SHTTY INPUT LAG. For like threee weeks i was upset I had to use a ps5 controller to play video games on my pc.(For some reason the controller wasnโ€™t affected by it or mouse) I researched everywhere for answers. Even thought about changing my keyboard too. Out of nowhere I get a notification from Norton and open it up. I notice โ€œGame Optimizerโ€ is on. I just had the gut feeling that was the root of my problems. Lo and behold; It was the damn game optimizer. Now iโ€™m getting the FPS , Smooth high quality gameplay i paid for. F*ck you Norton.
TLDR: If youโ€™re experiencing bad keyboard input lag and are a pc noob like me, uninstall Norton and Mcafee. Absolute dog sh*t Services that will slow your gameplay. Just use windows defender

I have tried McAfee and AVG, and both have been a pain to use because of the pop-ups. I'm a broke uni student, so I can't afford any super expensive anti-virus programs.

As far as first items are concerned, i tested botrk kraken and yun tal. Training dummy: 1300hp 50 armor armor. E has 7 slashes ( +1 from base)
Damage numbers are: Yun tal: 1200-1400 -> avg 1300 Kraken: 1087 Botrk: 1232
Clear conclusions: kraken is a terible first item now. Yuntal also clearly has more dmg than botrk
For 2 item combinations, dummy with 1800hp and 80 armor. E slashes 9 times ( +3 from base)
Kraken + botrk: 2075 Yun tal + botrk: 2000-2300 avg 2150 Yun tal + kraken: 1900-2300 avg 2100 Yun tal + infinity: 2200 - 2700 avg 2400 ( i put it lower since the times i got 2200-2400 were much higher than above 2400)
Damage wise, there is a clear winner. Yun tal + infinity provide no utility at all life steal / tank shredding, but it.s not like bel veth struggles killing tanks with R pasive + the new cut down.
3rd item onwards, the build should be flexible depending on enemy so damage is less relevant. As fas as defending itemization goes, even tho immortal is a terrible item now, for belveth it is ok since it has crit and it improves damage.
Tl;dr yun tal interaction is game warping for belveth, being her best damage item. Crit builds seem to be the meta.

2024.05.16 00:14 Impressive_Moose6781 If I donโ€™t think my doctor is taking me seriously while Iโ€™m in the hospital can I have another doctor check?

TLDR: I think I have preeclampsia and my doctor does not seem to think so. My request for a second opinion was refused. Do I have rights to get another before I leave or can they send me home?
Iโ€™m 35.5 weeks pregnant, 25F first time mom, gestational hypertension, .345 ratio on protein to urine on Monday, .25 ratio last week, .15 week before. I am taking labedelol 100mg 2x a day for the bp and it has been becoming less effective. I am having severe visual disturbances, shortness of breath, swelling in my face hands and feet, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and headaches.
Iโ€™ve been to the hospital a number of times for high BP, 150-165 over 100-115. With medication and time it usually goes down to 140/90ish.
I was admitted for monitoring yesterday for high blood pressure (166/102 was top reading in hospital with several more in the 160s over 105s). Resting heart rate on avg 120. My ratio at the hospital for urine was not at the .3.
My doctor says he is not worried. He previously told me that if my urine ratio goes to .3 I have preeclampsia. The hospitalist told me if I became preeclamptic with my blood pressure Iโ€™d most likely be delivered or at least admitted for monitoring.
My doctor said he believes the tests could be wrong and I am fine to go home. I asked for another doctor to look over things and the nurse told me they couldnโ€™t do that because theyโ€™d already signed over my care to my OB.
What are my rights here? Am I wrong to be so nervous or does my doctor seem valid here? I recognize I am not a doctor and am just doing the best I can. I do not know what I can do to advocate for myself or if I need to.

The worst insults I've gotten at this job have been from people who work at churches or realtors. Anyway, here's the transcript of our conversation today.

(03:44:16 PM) ID10T: BLANK--I'm thinking about switching PROJECT platforms because I cannot stand every single frickin time I want to access & make changes to my PROJECT , I have to go through 2 factor identification.

(03:44:36 PM) ID10T: And then it says, skip for 2 weeks--nope that doesn't work either!!!!!
(03:44:55 PM) ID10T: Get someone to shut down that security measure on our account.

(03:45:55 PM) me: We can't turn that off, but there may be some reason the login cookie is getting deleted on your machine. WEBSITE uses a login cookie that expires after 2 weeks. If you clear this cookie, you will be required to login the next time you visit WEBSITE. If you have any kind of browser extension or anti-virus that clears cookies on an active basis, that could be clearing the login cookie for WEBSITE and causing you to be logged out. I suggest checking into that. This could be a behavior of the browser itself, an addon/extension of the browser, anti-virus on your computer or even apps/processes being run on your machine by your business (if you are not on a personal device). Also are you running AVG? In most cases, that is the anti-virus which is causing issues with the login cookie.

(03:47:44 PM) me: That's not how it works I'm sorry. The login is maintained by a cookie which gets saved to the device. If it's deleted, the login is not maintained.

Isn't it amazing how childish boomers are? Why do they think that being rude is the best option? They actively make the world worse with everything they do.

2024.05.15 22:44 pachacuti092 Got the P. Tested 4/23 US MD student

I am US MD student, and I'd say I'm an avg student. I Just got off a 24 hour call shift so my post might be a lil hazy but here's what I did to prepare:
  1. Uworld: I started doing uworld questions near the 2nd half of my 2nd year and I was doing practice questions that correlated with what block material I was on at my school to prepare for my school's block exams. (i.e. for my psych block I did all the uworld psych questions). By the time I was in dedicated (mid feb) I had finished about 25-30% of UW. I did one pass of uworld with about a 55% avg. I also did UW Self assessments 1 and 2, and did 3 for practice.
  2. Kaplan: I did a free trial of practice questions that were kinda useless, but I did have a subject book that had practice exams by different topics such as pharm, micro, anatomy, path, immuno, phys biochem etc. It was great for content review and testing your knowledge of specific topics.
  3. Content review: Mostly read first aid/pathoma and did anki alongside my own quizlets that I made for in school material along with 3rd party resources such as BNB.
  4. NBME exams: I did 25-31 (except 27). When reviewing my tests, I'd also annotate the questions I got wrong and the questions I got right with my own explanations because a wrong answer for one question is the right answer for another question.
My scores breakdown for anyone interested:
NBME 25: Did this at the start of dedicated as a CBSSE 46% 20% chance of passing
UWSA1 59%
Free 120 61%
UWSA2 58%
UWSA3 just did this for fun/practice didn't even remember my score
NBME 26 71%
NBME 31 74%
NBME 30 78%
NBME 29 76%
NBME 28 75%
The last week before I just reviewed all the annotations I made on all my NBME exams as well as go over statistics from First Aid as well as Mehlmann HY PDF's. The best thing you can do for yourself is not compare yourself to others but also just chill for a bit too. You don't have to be studying all the time and it's ok to take breaks too.
