I hate to finally admit this, since I've tried for so long to try and change it, but I am in love with my best friend. I've tried to move on, talk with other people, explore, stay alone even. But it all leads back to him. I feel awful. I know he would never see me the same, I've known him for so long. And yet, I keep talking with him about my love life, just like he talks to me. I know he likes someone. I feel like a horrible friends and I feel so much guilt around this. Romantically, I want nothing more than to always be there for him, and support him. But I know that because of how I was when I was younger, he could never view me that way, I also dated his friend a long time ago in high-school, nasty breakup because of how i was treated, best friend no longer talks to them as far as i know, i dont either. But maybe they do still talk, I'm not 100% certain. Overall I'm just confused about what to do in this situation.
Be Real with me, is it hopeless? It's been a year and these feelings haven't changed, if anything it's staying steady.
I feel very guilty about my attraction to him because he is so smart and amazing, and I feel compared to him I'm not there, I've been working on myself and lot but I just can't help it, it's like when I think of him I can accept I'd love to be in his life forever, and be there to support him, care for him when he needs it, and cook for him, and I admire him and his aspirations. I just don't know what to do. We are both 19M, and interested in so many of the same things and views and I don't want to ruin our friendship but it's getting harder and harder not to show that I have feelings, my face gets red, I stutter, and just become a total mess trying to talk with him. We often talk about our futures, getting a place together, what pets we would have, and our views on relationships and marriage (not with eachother, but we do joke like that.) I'm absolutely hopeless with reading people and reading signs and I feel like maybe I'm reading into nothing. But gosh do I hope he feels the same, I care about him more than I can put into words.
I just can't handle not saying anything anymore, and so I thought to say something here.
I could go on and on about how much I care about him and wow. I just feel lost on what to do, do I cut off these feelings?? How do I do that? I've tried and they just stay. I've been in love before, or so I thought but this feels even more like it. Me and him have always been there for eachother and I really just need to figure out what to do here. I know our future careers may not go side-by-side. But I don't care. I care too much and it scares me, I get so happy when he talks to me it makes me cringe. I've never felt like this with anyone else, none of my other friends or even my exes.
Anyways, thank you for reading this. Any advice means a lot, I'm so unsure of what to do or how I should even bring up these feelings, or if I even should at all. I'm bouncing back and forth between telling him and just staying friends, I'm really unsure because the feelings are real, but the friendship matters so much to me. We are young, I know. Most relationships at 19 don't last long, but I would truly be happy with him for the rest of my life. I mean that. Thank you for your time.

DISCLAIMER: This theory will go over the entire story of Platinum End, so obvious spoilers ahead. Just a heads up, this theory is posted at the time that only a few episodes of the anime have been released. Depending on how much the anime stays like the manga, details may end up changing. Therefore, the entire theory will be based solely on the manga. I will also leave snippets of the manga with the highlighted text to support my claim. Thanks!Hello, my fellow Platinum End fans! If you’re like me, the ending completely caught me off guard and left my head-scratching. Do not worry! I’ve overanalyzed everything and made a theory to possibly explain who god and those beings at the end of the story are, so you don’t have to. Those beings at the end of the manga, chapter 58, are drum roll…humans of the future who have achieved many scientific advancements who existed well before the story of Platinum End takes place and are simulating their own world with fake humans, fake angels, and a fake god. Why are the real humans running this simulation? Simply put, they’re suicidal and no amount of therapy is going to help with that. Why are they wanting to die? In the future, it is predicted by Gaku Yoneda that within 500 years, humans will achieve immortality. Once they achieve immortality, they will eventually master time and space and will be able to do things like teleport, time travel, see the future, etc. And once humans achieve immortality and are able to know all of the future, they will discover that the future cannot be changed according to Dr. Yoneda. Just like Dr. Yoneda’s prediction, the real humans are wanting to die which is why it’s stated by one of the real humans how annoying it is that there is no death. Whatever the process was that made the real humans immortal, it seems that it cannot be reversed to restore one’s mortality. Although it’s not stated how humans will achieve immortality and allow them to control time and space, this will somehow cause humanity’s apocalypse as well, destroying the original Earth. What makes these creatures more human-like than god-like is that they admit they were born on another planet, most likely the original Earth. They are also aware that they too were created by something that is above them. How do we know Dr. Yoneda’s predictions are right? It was stated by Shuji Nakaumi that his past predictions came true. One thing to understand about science is that it’s extremely good at accurately predicting things. Example 1: With Issac Newton’s law of motion, scientists can predict the position of an object at any specific time, past, present, or future. Example 2: In the 1840s, Fitzner astronomer Urbain Le Verrier was analyzing the orbit pathway of Mercury and found that it is changing very slowly over time. With technology limited at that time, it was hard to provide proof. In 1915, the famous German physicist, Albert Einstein was able to calculate the influence of the curved space in Mercury’s orbit. That is 75 years later that science proved its prediction was right. Although science cannot tell future events like a psychic will attempt to, I believe this is what the author was using to help advance the plot for the ending. The real humans already know the future and they’re aware that no matter what they try, death is not a part of that. If they cannot do it, someone else can. That is when these simulations come in. The real humans will create simulated humans. In one of the simulations, the story of Platinum End takes place. This would not be on a computer. This process would involve terraforming an entire planet to support carbon-based life. The planet that the simulated humans live on will be similar to the original Earth as well as the history and advancement of science will be similar to the real humans. As the simulated human’s society progresses, like in Platinum End, they would eventually learn how to become immortal and learn how to control space-time which would lead to them wanting to die just like the real humans. But unlike the real humans, the simulated ones may actually achieve a way to kill themselves once they obtain immortality that the real humans could use. But as we already know stated by the real humans, this specific simulation was a failure. Nothing was created that was capable of killing them. Thus, the real humans will move on to a new simulation. Pay very special attention to this picture. Notice right after all of the humans disappear when the fake god kills himself, the buildings are slowly crumbling away since no one is here to maintain them. According to World Building, it would take an average of 250 years for a building to start to break apart since materials like wood and plastic would be destroyed by the environment if not maintained. Metal would be expanding and no longer able to keep the building's structure in place. This would cause things like windows to fall off and shatter. So after a few hundred years, the real humans return to the planet after the simulated humans disappeared due to the fake god’s suicide. It’s possible that during this time they’re running other simulations on other planets and returned when this simulation was completed. Since the real humans have achieved master over space-time, teleporting to anywhere in the universe would not be out of the question. Since they cannot die, the amount of time it would take for the real humans to travel anywhere in the universe is irrelevant as well. Even though Gaku Yoneda’s predictions about the simulated humanity’s end were wrong, he was technically right. It did come true for the real humans. If Shuji Nakaumi, as the fake god, did not kill himself and wipe out all of the fake humans, they would of most likely learned how to cheat death and to control space-time in the future. Gaku was wrong about the fake god being a product of human belief in order to live. He even admits that the composition of the fake god was wrong. If the fake god required human belief to live, then Shuji would not have erased the memories of those who were not god candidates as it would have affected the fake god's existence if fewer people believed in him. There is one thing that begs the question. Why is a fake god needed to run these simulations? Why do the simulated humans have souls? Why not just create the simulated humans and leave them to figure out how to create an immortal killing machine without the process of a false god? This is because God and souls are actually real and are necessary for life to exist. To clarify, the “God” that Shuji Nakaumi was transmuted into is not the true God that I’m referring to. I’m referring to the first cause of everything, a self-aware creator, a deistic God who existed before time and space who created the universe and does not intervene in its creation. This means no miracles, prophecy, answering prayers, divine revelation, etc. Everything in the universe is governed by physics and these laws cannot be broken. The real humans who are running the simulations are aware that they are a creation made from a creator. However, since a deistic God does not interfere in the universe, the real humans cannot know of him, at least while they are still alive. Considering the real humans can control space-time, I can say for certain at one point, at least one person went to the very beginning of time and saw something that would be evidence of an intelligent designer creating the universe. When the real humans are conversing with each other at the finale, one human suggests identifying what created them and the second one replies that seeking their creator will be a waste of time. If a deistic God won’t intervene in its creation, the real humans would be wasting time by attempting to contact him. Even though they can control space-time, if the creator exists outside of reality, they would not be able to reach this entity. Focusing on figuring out who created them means that time is wasted if they're not figuring out how to die which is why it would take them further away from death. Just as the simulated humans have souls, the real humans also have souls. At some point, the real humans discovered the soul. They are aware that this is needed for life to be sentient. The discovery of the soul could have played a key part in the real humans achieving immortality. The fake god is engineered by the real humans to create souls so that life can be sentient, mimic the universe's deistic God by allowing the simulation to run with no interference, and act as a mod to keep an eye on life with the red and white arrows. The celestial realm was created so the fake god would not be a part of the simulated world. Even though time moves differently in the celestial realm, it is the closest thing that the real humans can engineer to simulate a deist God that is separated from its creation. This fake god does not have the powers of a supreme being. The fake god does not know everything, is not everywhere at once, and does not display any sort of omnipotent ability. There is a lot of things that the fake god admits to not knowing, such as who created him, why are souls preserved, and how long does the merging process take. Although we do see the fake god have the ability to observe humanity, I would say that this is the equivalent of having admin privileges to watch humanity live-streamed on YouTube. The fake god is aware that he is created by someone. The fake god noticed that there are things that had already been created that he was not a part of just by observing everything in the universe. Although he seems to not understand what created him. He even acknowledges the idea that humanity could have created him. All the simulated souls come from the fake god. This is done through a process of emanation, which means to flow from. In the Abrahamic religions, specifically Gnosticism, Jewish Mysticism, and certain sectors of Protestantism, instead of your typical creator being separate from its creation, everything is a spontaneous outflow from God. As pieces of God emanate from him, it becomes less divine, but these pieces will eventually become an individual soul that forms into human spirits, angels, demons, as well as other things that come into reality such as heaven, hell, and the world of the living. Eventually, everything that came from God, will return back to the creator. (If you’re still confused on what emanation is, I would do more research before continuing to read as this will play a key role in understanding who the fake god is.) Emanation is how the fake god created the simulated human and their soul, the fake angels, and the celestial realm. The fake god took a piece of himself and used it to create life. Since everything emanates from the fake god is connected to him, as he is dying, most of the angels are dying too. Due to this connection, when the fake god killed himself, everything that was tied to the fake god disappeared. But because the creation of the fake god is not connected to the physical world, the planet and everything that is not life remained on it. When the simulated human beings die, the soul goes to the celestial realm. This is the returning aspect of emanation. The souls that came from the fake god are returning back to him. You always see all angels, regardless of rank, having the task of carrying the souls to the celestial realm. It seems that the main purpose of the angels is to help with the return part of the emanation process. The more that the emanence is divided, the less divine it becomes. This is why the fake humans are considered sub-celestial in the hierarchy. It appears that there is a certain order to the flow of emanation. The newest creations emanate from the fake god. Kids will be the first in the line for the emanate process and their parents will be behind them. This is why when the fake god committed suicide, the kids were the first ones to disappear, then the adults. All things that emanate from the fake god are returning to the original source in reverse order when the fake god takes his own life. When the fake god merges with a human, this appears to go against the set pattern of the emanation process by breaking the order in which the emanence flows. This is why when Shuji merged with the fake god, it felt like there was something foreign in the fake god's body similar to how an infected person's body acts when the immune system detects foreign bacteria or a virus. The only way to get around it is by the fake god merging with a simulated human and having the fake god take over the new body when the fusion is completedIt is stated by the fake god that it is nothing more than humanity's assumption that God cannot die. This may be true for the deistic God, but not for a fake god. It is already known that the real humans achieved immortality. Although the fake god could have been engineered to be immortal, that would just create another being who would eventually want to die. The fake god was designed to live a long life, compared to humans, that could be extended through the process of merging with one of its emanated counterparts until the simulation was completed. This has been done throughout time in the form of the god choosing process. The fake god confirmed to Shuji that his purpose was to create life. Professor Yoneda confirmed that the fake god was created by human imagination and that its purpose was to end life.On the surface, this may seem like a contradiction. But both of them are right. The fake god’s purpose was to create the simulated humans. God is metaphorically a creation of human imagination. It was not by the simulated human’s imagination as stated by Yoneda, but it was designed and engineered by the minds of the real humans. Since the purpose of the simulation is for the fake humans to achieve immortality and figure out how to reverse it, you can say that the fake god is a part of that process of killing humanity. Right as all of the humans are disappearing, Dr. Yoneda realizes that the composition that makes up the creature is based on a science that the simulated humans have not discovered yet. The composition of the fake god is Aether. In medieval times, a common study among scholars is alchemy, which can be best described as the forerunner for modern-day chemistry mixed with the pseudoscience of metaphysics. According to Charles Gillispie, a historian at Princeton University, in his book, The Edge of Objectivity, An Essay in the History of Scientific Ideas, Aether is the fifth element, along with earth, wind, fire, and water, that are the basic building blocks of the universe. During medieval times, Aether is the substance that is believed to connect the physical world to the spiritual one. It was even a common belief that the Abrahamic God was surrounded by Aether and that all of the angels, demons, and souls that dwelled in the afterlife breathed it in as humans breathed in the air. According to Jakob Bernoulli, a mathematician from the 1600s, believed that Aether is what allowed souls to interact with their human bodies. All of these characteristics of Aether match the composition of the fake god. Aether is what allows life to become sentient, connecting all of the simulated humans back to the fake god from the physical world to the celestial realm. It seems at some point, the real humans discover this element. This discovery most likely led to the discovery of the soul. Using this element, the real humans used Aether to construct the fake god needed for the simulations. Everything that is a part of the simulation, the fake god, angels, the soul, the arrows, is made up of this element. The red arrow is what allows the god candidates to make other humans fall in love with them so much that the person who is under the influence of the arrow will do literally anything the person who is in control wants, even die for them. The white arrow has the ability to kill any life while all inanimate objects are unaffected. These were limits placed on the arrows by the fake god. According to Ogaro, the fake god can use the full power of the arrows at will. The red arrow is more than just making someone fall in love. The arrow does this by taking away their free will. The god candidates were limited to using the arrow on 14 people at once for a period of up to 33 days. With the fake god able to use the full power of the red arrow, he can enslave any or all simulated humans with a snap of his finger for as long as he desired. The red arrow also played a role in creating the first simulated life as well. The fake god stated that if life was left alone, it would multiply. The desire of falling in love and wanting to procreate was implanted by the red arrow when life was created. The white arrow is the opposite of the red arrow. This arrow can kill life instantly. The limit that was placed on this arrow is that only one white arrow can be shot at a time. Just like the red arrow, this arrow has a maximum range of 31.6 meters. When cycling the white arrow, there is a cool down period of 0.3 seconds. If these limiters are removed, the fake god can kill all humans with the white arrows with virtually no limit on distance, any number of arrows can be used simultaneously, and there would be no mandatory cool down period.The creation of the simulated humans involves two key ingredients. The first is the soul which comes from the fake god. The second is a physical body for the soul to be attached to. The real humans asked if it was worth planting another seed and another god as those are two separate things.The making of another god is obviously the fake god. But what is the seed? The seed is what makes the physical embodiment of all plants and animals that all emanence is attached to. I.E., souls attached to bodies. According to the fake god, before he created life on the fake Earth, there was some sort of micro-organism.This seed would be that micro-organism, specifically carbon-based bacteria that is capable of evolution. Around 3 billion years ago, the first life on Earth was bacteria. There are two types of bacteria, a classification of anaerobic bacteria that ate other organic compounds and simple sugars to survive. The other kind is autotrophs bacteria which is capable of self-feeding. Anaerobic bacteria would evolve into modern-day animals. Autotroph bacteria would evolve into modern-day plants that still have the ability to self-feed through a process of photosynthesis. It is possible to send bacteria through space. According to a 2020 study published in the Journal of Frontiers in Microbiology, bacteria were able to survive in space for three years. If the real humans were able to transport the seed through space in less than 3 years, it could easily survive. Considering they achieved immortality, it is within reason to think this would be a piece of cake for them. At some point, part of the anaerobic bacteria would come in contact with the fake god, who was on the fake Earth at that time to make life, recognized the fake god as food, and attempted to feed off of him to survive. The bacteria that fed off the fake god would eventually evolve into Nasse. The bacteria that did not feed off of the fake god would evolve into more complex forms of life on the fake Earth. Since Nasse was accidentally created from this event, it most likely means that she is the first angel that the fake god created. This means that she could serve as inspiration for the fake god to create angels for the celestial realm. The angels don't seem to share any ability to reproduce with each other. There is never any mention of any family heritage. It means that all of the angels were created around the same time. Since Nasse is the only angel that came from the seed/bacteria, her biological makeup differs from all the other angels. While the majority of her is angel, part of the genetic makeup is similar to carbon-based life. Although I would not say Nasse is an angel-human hybrid, she could be considered a type of Nephilim. Due to this biological difference, Nasse is the only angel that can interfere in both the physical world and the celestial realm. Much research has shown that facial expressions are innate among all animals, not just humans. The same animals that display facial expressions when expressing emotions, lying, determination, etc. use similar muscles in the face as humans do. For example, a Psychologist, Paul Ekman, studied facial expression from hours of film and ventured on to multiple isolated tribes who have very little contact with modern society. He showed them pictures of facial expressions and asked them to interpret them. These people were able to match facial expressions and their meaning with high accuracy. This is one of the many studies that show facial expressions are genetic. Even though Nasse is single-minded, she is able to understand facial expressions due to her biological relationship with the simulated life on the fake Earth. But hey, this is just a theory."

So there have been talks about the game suffering from a lack of new content to keep the gameplay fresh. I thought one thing Unite was lacking compared to other mobas was the ability to switch up your build depending on how the game is going, and that is one avenue they can try exploring for the next major patch. Other mobas do this using purchasable items or talent trees that you unlock by leveling up, etc. Whereas with Unite, your item build is locked at the start of the game, and the only adjustment you can make in-game is with your skill build. But then you run into problems where you might want to flex your skill build but your items do not synergize with it.
I don't think purchasable items makes sense in Unite lore-wise, but I suggest being able to buy vitamins with aeos energy (HP up, Calcium, Protein, etc) just like in the mainline games to passively boost stats. And they don't even have to be regular, boring stats like Attack, Sp Def, etc. They already implemented stat modifiers that affect cooldown, unite cooldown, crit rate, attack speed, etc via emblems (which are unavailable in tournament play anyways), they can repurpose vitamins in Unite to increase those stats instead.
Another thing I would like to see would be a purchasable move (again with aeos energy) from a move tutor. Basically like a second battle item you can purchase in-game. The move tutor can provide moves available to each and every pokemon like protect, rest, etc. And can have some type specific moves like Blast Burn, Draco Meteor, etc to make pokemon types relevant in Unite without destroying balance.
I think having these options to change up your build halfway during a game will make for more interesting and varied games. You also get risk-reward decision making, do you sacrifice getting a point lead in lieu of better stats/an additional move (similar to how EX mons consume aoes energy to fight better). And before any negative nancy says what I'm thinking about is broken, nothing is broken until you put numbers on it. To me it just seems like a good concept to freshen up the experience for players.

I have been looking forward to my son’s Pre-K graduation for months. Although I am extremely proud of- and happy for him, a few things are weighing on my mind following the graduation. Maybe I’m overreacting – and I truly hope I am. If I am, please tell me.
The first thing that bothered me about my son’s Pre-K graduation is the total lack of security to enter. It’s a very small VPK, so I didn’t expect security guards, but there wasn’t so much as a sign in sheet for the parents / visitors. There were no ID checks; anyone could simply walk in. *
Second, when my son was called up to receive his diploma, the teacher called him by his first name only and followed up with, “I’m not even going to attempt to pronounce your last name”. We do have a longer Italian surname, but it’s not hard to learn, not hard to say, and the teachers has more letters in her last name than we do. In my 40 years, the only time people weren’t sure how to pronounce it was the first time I met them. Other than that, or simply not knowing me personally, you’re a telemarketer if you can’t pronounce it. You don’t need to know a different language ffs. We’re born and raised in the US for the last century. I expect the teacher who’s with my son 5 days a week or an entire school year to know how to say his last name. If my son’s peers can pronounce it, there’s no excuse. (And yes, this WAS his full-time teacher, not an assistant or different teacher, etc.) Here's the kicker. It's a class of like 16. It's not a school like Hogwarts full of kids with no vowels in their last names. *
Lastly, I was so happy when my son received two awards because only a couple kids received two. What could go wrong, right? His last name is spelled wrong on both of his laminated awards. Really? Come on, man! *
Oh, one more thing that I should have started with. Upon arriving at the scheduled time of the graduation, I found out that they were behind schedule by a full hour, and everyone had to wait outside. There was just a note on the door and the door was locked.

I know these "problems" may seem miniscule compared to other "real" problems in the world. I know I have the choice to focus on the positive things that happened today and not let the "small" things live rent free in my mind. But should I turn the other cheek? Am I wrong to assume the brightest crayon in the box shouldn't be in my son's backpack - it should be teaching the class? Sorry, for the jokes. I'm trying to make light of the situation to cheer myself up. That was kind of funny, I guess. At the end of the day, all of this is just very discouraging when I think about who will be teaching my son.
Before I go, I want to give praise to ALL of the good teachers out there who care about the kids and their education and take the time to know their students, no matter if you're a Pre-K teacher or a Scholar, I commend you and appreciate you. I understand that it is not an easy job and I know you should be paid a hell of a lot more. I am in no way intending to bash all teachers or even most teachers. I TRULY hope this is an isolated issue in this smaller sized town in the SE.
I had many great, and memorable teachers in my life I will always remember, and I truly pray someone just like one of them finds their way into my son's classroom when he begins kindergarten this Fall.

Hello all! I'm working my way through some samples and wanted to drop some reviews for you! I'm a bit verbose lmao and I don't want the post to be too long, so I will be making additional posts in the coming days. Hope these are helpful or interesting!
Evil Eye - Arcana Wildcraft

Protection against malevolent forces. An opening of bright Sicilian aniseed leads to a creamy, addictive, gourmand heart of Mexican vanilla, dark cocoa, sugar-encrusted blonde woods, warm amber, sandalwood milk, Cetalox, and soft golden tobacco. A woody gourmand with anise and chocolate.

Wet and in the bottle: Very strong, tangy wood, to me it reads like cedar. Reminds me of my parents cedar closet in the attic. I suspect it's the sandalwood. It's very very strong, you get a sense of a sweetness but it's very overpowering in this form.
Wet and just applied to skin: The intense woody tang remains, but a lactonic, no an oaty sweetness starts creeping up more and more the drier it gets. A noticable musk is peeking out here as well.
Dried down on skin: Now the frag has arrived where it should be, it's creamy and woody and sweet. The cedarey sensation remains but it's swirled into steamed, sweetened vanilla oatmilk. Like a wood latte. Feels like something they sell at dryad cafes. The musk grows with wear. I don't get a "cashmere" note that you usually find in scents that mention that. It feels more like a soft, plush musk, something there to keep it from being just gourmand, because strangely the cedar feels kind of herbal like those flower lattes. Comes a long way from the very non gourmand WOOD opening to where it reads like wood, but wood you can eat.
Final thoughts: I'm actually deeply obsessed with this fragrance. I really really love it, even the intense opening of it. This gave me a sort of paradigm shift, where I realized all my recent faves have been perfumey gourmands and not the realistic gourmands I once thought I preferred. Fantastically imaginitive frag, I certainly would've never thought of it. Does it Vampire Blood? (This is the part where I admit I layer everything with BBW's Vampire Blood bc I'm obsessed. This section of my reviews will denote if it can be layered with VB) I did layer it, and it was fine. They both kind of exist at the same time but don't really create something together. But they don't clash, which is great news because you know me and my VB.

Wet and in the bottle: Sweet laundry smell. Reminds me of hugging a friend in high school and you can smell their "vanilla orchid" scented laundry soap their mom picked out. Idk why that specifically, but that's what it's giving.
Wet and just applied to skin: I saw someone say it smelled like banana to them and I get what they mean. There's a floral sweetness (like a banana) cut by something slightly vegetal, just the tiniest bit green. Finishes with a lipsticky quality, but creamy not powdery. From afar, it smells like it did in the bottle - sweet laundry, but with a proper sniff you get the separate elements making that up. The makeup sensation seems to get stronger as it warms.
Dried down on skin: Very much like Avon lipstick. My grandma was an Avon lady and had so much Avon cosmetics, and it really reminds me of her lipsticks. White floral with a creamy quality, but not lactonic. I've smelled this in other things, someone said it's giving crisco and that's almost exactly right. A smooth but sort of aggressively quality-less creaminess. There's something here that reads as very slightly lemon-ey to me, but it mostly just serves to keep it from being sugary sweet. The laundry smell is strong from afar, similar to bedsheet ghost but more floral and less "hot". This isn't just dried laundry it's a clean shirt you folded and put away the night before. But any closer inspection of the frag, a deep sniff, and it's a heady white floral with creamy elements.
Final thoughts: I usually don't like white florals, but I like this one! I wouldn't wear it all the time, it won't become a regular thing, but I do like it. It has a sense of nostalgia, and it really reminds me of scene kids for whatever reason, which I think is what she was going for. Does it Vampire Blood? Wet and just applied to skin: This is a true rose, leans more realistic than the kind of fantasy powder rose. It's a little peppery like fresh roses tend to be, a little astringent. Like floral in the most literal meaning of the word. Platonic ideal of a floral. Green, planty, smooth, peppery rose. Kind of arugula adjacent (this is how I feel about smelling most real roses).
Dried down on skin: I figured this would be pretty linear as a frag because of how almost solinote-ey it was for me for a good long while. It stays its perfect rose self, I can maybe get zome benzoin at the tail end, but it melds into the astringency of the rose to where it feels like it's mostly aiding in the solinote. But, after a good long while, like 3.5 hours, it becomes pure bitter zingy benzoin. Very very bitter. Like surprisingly bitter. I sniffed my wrist after a few hours to check on it and was like staggered a bit. Interesting touch, I feel like. Makes this kind of dark and spooky in a way.
Final thoughts: I like rose as an element often but I feel like this is too much rose. It's almost scary how much rose it is. I like it and I think it's well crafted and it's cool how realistic it is for me, but definitely not something I'll reach for often. I've been trying to give florals a fair shake recently, as for a long time I'd decided they were right out but for jasmine. And while this one didn't sell me on florals or rose as a whole, it made me think there's something more interesting there than I thought. Does it Vampire Blood? Ambroxan, trampled moss, soft tonka, boozy vanilla, smashed pumpkin, black coffee, acid-washed denim, wild grey musk

Wet and in the bottle: Dirty coffee, a bit of sweetness. Honestly not all that appealing in the bottle.
Wet and just applied to skin: Warm, delicious toasty coffee sweetened with damara sugar. Musk and something slightly salty make it read caramelled and also ground it. Amazing, almost smokey coffee gourmand here.
Dried down on skin: Becomes a spicy, salty coffee slush of sorts. So roasty toasty, but in a way that's super wearable. Doesn't smell like you just walked out of a coffee shop but rather than you ooze coffee, and it gets stuck in the threads of your lightly perfumed (choco musk perhaps) flannel. Smells like curling up to see the stars with a fancy starbucks coffee, the ones with the crunchy caramel bits on the top. So musky and addictive.
Final thoughts: Actually one of my new favorite frags, which is highly unfortunate because I have about half a slonk and don't feel comfortable ever ordering direct from S92. Will be looking for a fullsize in the swaps. I'm soso on coffee scents, I like them in theory but I think they're either very short lived or not gourmand enough for me, instead becoming a kind of interesting earthy note. But here it's all coffee ice cream type coffee but made round and full by some classical perfumey additions. Does it Vampire Blood? Coconut pulp, coconut milk, Coppertone, sand, sea breeze, driftwood, melted vanilla ice cream cone, sticky cotton candy

Wet and in the bottle: Very verbena-ey to me. That kind of smooth, almost creamy greenness. Touch of sunscreeney coconut, lots of sweetness. Reads like a fancy slushy summer drink.
Wet and just applied to skin: Much sweeter, coconut imparts a nice kind of nuttiness, very much like Coconut Lime Verbena from bath and body works, which I'm a fan of. Definitely has the sunscreen quality about it. I swear at the end of the sniff, it's exactly like fresh saltwater taffy. That kind of slight saltiness, nondairy creaminess. It reminds me of the blue ones in particular, which I think were blueberry but had a slight herbal quality about them. All of this comes together to really complete the "fancy, slurry summer drink" feeling.
Dried down on skin: This scent is pretty linear for its notes, it doesn't change much to me from the wet on skin phase. Maybe that taffy at the end becomes more the forefront. Not as coconuttey a drydown as I was hoping for.
Final thoughts: I like it, but I'm not a huge summer frag person these days. I think they tend to smell kind of samey to me unless they're doing something very specific. But it's very nice, very wearable, definitely sniffed myself a lot. I feel like it's missing something I'm wanting though, maybe just more coconut, or maybe it smelling like coconut lime verbena makes me want a limey note from it. Does it Vampire Blood? Just venting about my husband’s ex girlfriend. He treated her so well when they were together and she was absolutely awful to him. Left him for his best friend, used him for car rides everywhere when she had a boyfriend that could do it, kept creeping into his life everytime he was with someone new and always managed to leave after she messed things up. When my husband and I were just talking and going on dates she found out and on his birthday (when we weren’t officially together yet) had him over her house to cook him breakfast cause she couldn’t afford to take him out all while she had a boyfriend. I found out about this after me and him were already officially together, he told me he felt guilty about even being there and didn’t stay long. I was angry that it had happened and he regrets so much even doing that to this day. When I found out it happened I had all the screenshots to prove what she was doing while she was in a relationship and even though I wanted to send them to her then boyfriend I talked myself down from sabotaging things the way she does and let karma do its work. I guess karma did it’s thing because she’s not with the boyfriend she was with before but she is with a new one now. When that situation happened I promised myself I wouldn’t just let it slide again. Well today she made a new snapchat account just to add my husband and he showed me he didn’t add her back but before he blocked her I told him to leave it there and I responded to her myself. I had some interesting choice words for her (let’s just say that) and she hasn’t responded back yet. Some people close to me say I shouldn’t have responded and given in to her trying to stir things up and that I played into her hand by giving her a reaction and letting her think I’m “insecure”. I completely understand that POV but I already did the “no response” thing in the past and she still reached out, but I don’t think I can just watch someone blatantly disrespect the fact that my husband is a married man. Especially someone who treated him terribly at that. I get you should “turn the other cheek” at times but some things I just can’t ignore! My marriage is one of them. That’s all for my vent.

Hi all,
Just looking for some advice for anything at all that might help our situation other than divorce.
I've been with my husband for almost 13 years, married 10. We are both 35. Have three wonderful kids 5-9 years that we both love so much. We are through all the toddler phase and sleep deprivation.
Our marriage is in a dire place, which both of us contributed to by not prioritising the other and essentially just aiming to survive through parenting. We have no family close by / breaks so it is full on.
For several years I've felt lonely in the marriage and things have come to a head the last 18 months. He's acknowledged the issues and says he doesn't find me sexually attractive, doesn't have any romantic feelings for me. Going on dates is like time filling for him. He says he finds other women attractive, but there's no specific woman he wants to have sex with. He has no desire for sex with me and will occasionally have sex after a lot of work on my end. He thinks his libido is normal But he is not seeking out sex with other women and masturbates only on occasion to porn. He wants more time for himself (which is hard in the constraints of a family, but I have worked hard to provide for him by doing as much household stuff as possible, taking kids out so he has house to himself, he stays up very late). He thinks his current needs and behaviour are selfish, but doesn't want to compromise on that.
He has had bloods done with GP. Normal testosterone level. We've done marriage counseling. She says he's got a severe dismissive avoidant attachment style, which I can see now, but I can't understand how he wasn't acting like that pre-kids. Our best sex was actually post- last kid but dried up a few years ago. We still have sex maybe once every 1-2 months but it's not enough for me and I feel like he's fulfilling an obligation rather than any actual desire to be with me so it reduces my pleasure. He says he doesn't want a longterm romantic relationship with anyone currently. But he loves me. We are still together currently as both our ideal outcomes would be for a happy fulfilling marriage and intact family unit. But it's at the point he doesn't even want to have to greet me or ask about my day and I've always prided us on having a great underpinning friendship and don't want to lose that too. I am also aware of the example we are setting for our children for their future relationships.
We've gone on regular dates in the last year, I try flirting with him, he's sharing a bit more of some aspects of the household work, although I have the majority mental load. We've tackled identified areas of resentment from both sides (although I feel like this has been a lot of him doing what is best for him and me doing a lot of what is best for him). He does not feel he is depressed and happy on other aspects of his life. His mum Is asexual and has never had another partner after separating from his dad 32 years ago, his brother lives with his mother at 37 years old and has never had a partner, his maternal uncle lived with his mum until she died and I wondered if there was a genetic component to things. But maybe I'm grasping at straws and that doesn't offer a solution.
I'm fit and attractive to the general population haha. He says he can see I'm attractive to others so it's not like I've "let myself go" in any sense since having kids, and actually have a better body than pre-kids.
I have talked a lot with various people and some had suggested having an affair to give me what I need, but I would never disrespect him In that way. However we have talked about a "one-sided" open marriage for me to essentially Have a sexual relationship +_ some emotional connection with someone else, in the hope that in the future, my husband would want those aspects again and hopefully pursue them with me... I had thought this might relieve him Of his guilt / make our interactions not an obligation for him. I had hoped we could go on dates and have the rare sex when he wants in the interim also. He is supposedly agreeable to this. I'm scared to do something (ie sex with someone else) that I can't take back though.
I guess I always have a sliver of hope, he's the dad of my children and I committed to spent my life with him and that's what I ultimately want. But currently, every day is like I lose a part of myself with the constant microrejections and while I know you are the one responsible for your own happiness, my self-worth, confidence and happiness are slowly being eroded by feelings of inadequacy and why I am so unattractive / undesirable to him on so many levels (sexual / non-sexual gestures / romantic / friendship) etc. If it was just one area, perhaps I could be more accepting / patient.
Other context, I have the primary career / income earner / drive in where we have ended up. I've always asked his opinion and been mutual decision making for big decisions, and despite my best efforts to support him to find himself, he has never shown much drive for anything other than computer gaming (which he would easily spend 5+ hours a day most days doing, at a cost of sleep). He doesn't particularly enjoy his job and has changed industries constantly when working. There's a Netflix special for a show called Jigsaw and that resonates a lot with him, he didn't have a complete self-identity before he met me and was happy to follow me along the way in life and got to where we are (which on paper is the most amazing life) and he's realised he's not happy within it. I've tried to support him in trying new things and exploring himself, but I can't be his motivation and really the only thing he is showing motivation for currently is increasing his level on DOTA2! We did have sex droughts during pregnancy due to me being incredibly sick and having zero libido, but we got through that and I guess I didn't feel it was a big issue at the time as we loved each other and every other aspect of the relationship was solid, but potentially that was a contributing factor to marriage demise. Although at the time, I felt we would never get back to an amazing sex life, we did and it was very fulfilling until twoish years ago.
Any advice is much appreciated. I am guessing a lot of people will think we are non-compatible / he doesn't want a relationship and I can't change that so divorce is the best option, but I'm willing to try anything at this stage.
Ps we have both seen a personal counsellor as well as the marriage counsellor. I am seeing mine next week and will ask about the open marriage concept.

I realize the fact that I’m even writing this should say enough, but I guess I just want more perspectives and writing this is also weirdly therapeutic. (This may be long, sorry) I (21 f) have been dating my boyfriend (26 m) for 2.5 years and I know the age gap may explain my concerns. We met at work and started dating after a couple of years working together,(I had a crush on him and never acted on it until I was older, he literally never showed interest in me before this) in the beginning of our relationship everything was perfect and then he suddenly started getting upset about how I talk to my male coworkers. He said that I have a flirty personality but because I liked him so much I was willing to stop talking to them completely. He had a lot of trust issues in the beginning and I accommodated him but then I started getting trust issues. He never did anything I guess it just rubbed off on me, for context I have never been a jealous person in relationships before this but with him we have both been very jealous about certain things. This was all fine for me honestly, but the older I get in this relationship the more I realize the toxicity in this. My boyfriend tells me “one day you will realize you can do better and leave me” and every time he says that I feel myself getting closer and closer to the door and leaving. I want to be clear he is so nice to me and always lifts me up and tells me how perfect I am, but I also know that there are unhealthy dynamics in this relationship. Our age gap used to not bother me, but the older I get the more I think about and question if it’s wrong. He doesn’t have a history of dating younger girls, and most of his exes have been older than him, but I still have a feeling inside of me that this isn’t okay. I love him so much but I feel like my brain is trying to send me signals that I can’t ignore anymore. Little things that never bothered me are starting to now and I know that’s a sign feelings are starting to go away. I just keep hoping they can come back because I don’t want to hurt him and he tells me I’m the love of his life and he’s still mine but something is changing and I don’t know what to do. A lot of times he says that his controlling tendencies is him just trying to protect me, for example he doesn’t want me going to places alone because it’s dangerous. This may sound reasonable but when I insist on going to places alone like running to the store on my way home he guilts me. Younger me used to think it was so nice how much he cared, but older me wonders why he guilts me when I just want to do something independently. What are his real motives? I know he may not consciously realize this but it feels like he is just insecure and doesn’t want other people even seeing me. He did the same thing when I wanted to go to the bar on my 21st birthday, and when I want to hang out with my girl friends he also gets insecure, not all of them but a couple of my friends. I should mention we live together so it’s even more complicated. What would you do if you were in my shoes? Is this worth saving, can a conversation fix this? Or is this just what happens when you are in your early 20’s dating an older man? TL;DR- I don’t know if my relationship is good for me, we have an age gap and the older I get the more I start to realize that there are a couple unhealthy aspects of our relationship.

I (26, non-binary) have been in a relationship with my girlfriend (28, F) for 6 months, and moved in together out of necessity (being financially unstable in our current climate will do that). We met after we’d both been dumped by partners and connected over that, and it moved on naturally from there. We’re poly, in a Kitchen Table relationship. I’m newly poly (she is my first) and she has been in the community for a little while. She had a long-distance partner for a while who was married, whose wife felt jealous of my girlfriend. They thought they could work it out, but it wasn’t. After my girlfriend and I started dating, he came back into her life unexpectedly and she set firm boundaries, and told him off. Last week, he reached back out and she melted. I’m the jealous type, so I assumed my unease was because of that, but after talking with her other partner (32, he/him) we realized she had been lying to us about aspects of this ex and her relationship with him, and felt distrusted. The weekend before, my girlfriend went to take a psychoactive edible to last the long weekend and I told her to take half because of her history with them. In a stubborn state, she shoved the whole thing down and said she didn’t care. Four hours later, she had vomited four times, and peed herself. I helped her into the tub and cleaned both the carpet and her hair, and went to bed. Wake up the next day and she’s eating on the couch saying she doesn’t remember the night before. I lose it, and have a panic attack on my floor. In my last relationship, my ex got a major surgery with recovery time at home, and I was the only one who could care for her. I had no experience, and watching her almost die added both a trauma bond and PTSD. This happening triggered those emotions, and as I sobbed on the floor, my girlfriend messaged me asking if I was home. I went non-verbal and avoided my girlfriend. She eventually apologized, but not for a while after I told her what had happened. That next weekend, the ex above messaged her out of nowhere, saying he hadn’t stopped thinking about her. She immediately folded, and I told her I didn’t like this guy, given how she talked about what happened with him. She ignored concerns from both myself and her other partner about how she had been treated before and was gleeful in the idea of rekindling this relationship. All of my emotions became so overwhelming that I messaged her while I was at work that morning, telling her exactly how I felt and how this hurt me. I normally would’ve had held back and tried to be kinder but I was very to the point. I didn’t not feel like I could trust her and after the abuse I had suffered in former relationships, that was a huge red flag to me. She sent a message back begging to make things right, saying she knew she was being stupid and pretended everything could just work out when she knew it was damaging to all three of us. I asked for a break. And so I’m sitting here now on this break, wondering what to do next. I love her, and I know this is something that can be worked through, but my flight or fight response has been triggered and I don’t want to ignore it. I just hope I’m not too blinded by love to see this if it’s a big red flag, or that I’m too scarred to ever have a normal relationship dynamic. Any help?

As a person who recently passed their PPL, I want to give potential pilots advice so that they could avoid the same mistakes I made during training and during the checkride. I hope you guys find this helpful:

1. Personally, I HIGHLY suggest part 141. I went from a part 141 to 61 because I had a terrible experience with a preivous flight school, which is another story for another day. A 141 program will give you structure and study skills whereas 61 you get to design your own curriculum in a way. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with making your own curriculum. Some people learn differently than others. But the problem is that you're entering into a skilled field that you have presumably never been a part of before, so you're gonna have to learn to walk before you run in both the air and on the ground. Now, I understand that people on this forum might have a different opinion than me on this topic, but as a new learner, I think the more structure the better goes a long way. Especially when it comes down to saving money and preventing gaps in your knowledge, in addition to having to spend hundreds of dollars of extra money like I did.
2. Buy a good ground school IMMEDIATELY. Trust, me, this is going to bite you if you wait off for too long like I did. Buy a ground school (and a good one) so you have checkride knowledge and will be able to get at least an 85% on the PPL written. DPEs care about those scores, so make sure you're prepared.
3. FFS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE use checklists on the checkride and read the ACS before your checkride dates. Write down what you're good and bad at and work around it with your instructor. I literally cannot even begin to describe how many people bust their checkrides over bad reasons like this.
4. After you learn how to do normal landings, practice short and soft field often. This is another common reason why people fail. They simply do not have their landings up to standard or maybe they just had a bad day on their checkride.
5. DO RESEARCH BEFORE SELECTING A DPE. Here's the thing: There are many great DPEs out there who want you to succeed. Of course, they are not going to pass you if you are not prepared, but there are DPEs out there that are genuinely terrible people who are only fat it for the money and will have no guilt in failing you for stupid reasons. Ask what kind of experiences other pilots had with their DPEs and see if they would recommend him or not.
6. Study. I don't have much to say about this. If you do not study and have a system in place that will keep you're knowledge on track as time passes, you WILL struggle BIG TIME and ultimately spend more money. Just read over the books for 45 minutes a day. AND START TO STUDY THE ORAL EXAM GUIDE COVER TO COVER EARLY IN YOUR TRAINING. If you do this you'll have that whole thing drilled in your head before you know it no matter how dreadfully long it is.
7. Do your research on the school you go to. Also, be VERY careful of programs like ATP who promise you a bunch of benefits but don't deliver. They will take your money, leave you in debt and not give a single damn. Choose your school wisely, read reviews, talk to instructors, and make sure that you will not be treated badly. I learned this the hard way before switching flight schools. Also look up ATP stories on Reddit and other internet sites and you will see the bad reviews and false promises that I am talking about.
8. If you're not doing well with your instructor (maybe he/she is not a good teacher). By all means, switch. A lot of people avoid switching because they're afraid that it may make the instructor feel bad. Trust me, it is ok. If you have a problem, maybe you're struggling on a topic, or you aren't absorbing info from your instructor, talk to your CFI to try to get it resolved. If not, switch.

A good CFI will know that some people click better with others in the long run. ALSO, occasionally take flights with other instructors. If you are struggling on a specific area with your current instructor, I guarantee you a few flights/grounds with another really good instructor will help you understand the material more easily. This is even if you simply couldn't get the knowledge through your head with your original CFI. If I had done this on topics I struggled on, I wouldn't have spent the time and money that I spent.

I was on the cusp of seeing the end of the road with this. For a year, I was clear of any bad scans. My surgery site healed up fantastically, almost no hole. I have two more rounds of maintenance chemo, got a brace that helps me to walk and met this amazing person who has been an absolute gem in my life. I never thought I'd meet someone, but I did.
I was going to go to college again, go into the medical field. Maybe become a nurse or something, anything to give back to a community that gave so much to me.
'We found something on your scan again.'
You could have heard a pin drop.
Everything I'd worked so hard for feels like it got ripped away. I feel like this is just fucking with me. Giving me some hope, happiness, only for life to basically say, 'HA! Just kidding.'
It wasn't bad enough that this cancer would have just ruined whatever career I had before, it's ruining any chance of a normal life I'll ever have. Because I don't want another surgery. I don't know what I'll lose this time. Waking up paralyzed in the ICU? That was nightmare fuel.
I thought I was in a nightmare. Because none of it felt real. Until I saw my doctor's face. And then I knew, because he was a serious person. He'd never lie to me, not like so many in my life. He's probably the only person I ever took at their word ever in my life.
And that's got to be one of the worst things. Trust, all my life I've never been able to trust others. Nobody. Everyone turned on me some way or another, it was just how my family were and I seemed to seek out unhealthy people because I didn't think I deserved to be around who I thought were 'above' me.
But my partner, I want to trust him. To trust that he's serious, that he means it when he says he cares about me. But I've been burned so many times, I don't know if I can ever trust someone else again, no matter who it is. Because of the shit my family put me through, old 'friends' and two of my ex's, I'm struggling to trust at all. And he's been nothing but kind to me, hasn't given me any reason to think otherwise.
But there's this thing in the back of my head screaming at me that the other shoe will drop soon, or that it's all lies and he's going to trick me. That he's going to tell me, 'I never liked you, I was just kidding around with you'. I keep waiting for him to laugh at me and say that. Part of me wouldn't be surprised, I keep imagining a scenario where I overhear him talking about what a dumbass I am for falling for this.
It's a coping method, I imagine getting hurt before and cry so I won't do it in front of anyone.
But every time I imagine him tricking me, it sinks me into a depression because I actually really care for him. Deeply. And if I brought this up with him, I'd weep like a little kid. And I can't cry in front of people due to severe trauma.
I don't even know how to move on from this. How do you get over trust issues? How do you begin to address them with anyone when anyone could betray you? I know I need to tell him about the possible reoccurrence but part of me is scared that it'll go badly.

Hi guys~! It's me again! <3 I had wanted to email my "friend" the following but experience tells me that either I will get myself into a poopy poop poop storm or worse. SO!!! I am just sharing it here to people who can use this information in any way.
SO! A short while back I was in this coaching group and I thought I got along well with everyone, or most people at least. The coach even gave me my own channel to share my learnings and whatnot. I also got good feedback and all those from him and others. However, I also noticed some people blocked me and since there were no confrontations, I only assumed that some people just don't want to keep getting notifications. And/or they want information from the coach. It was a Discord group so each message I sent set a notification going.
The group had quite an interesting dynamic, while there were quite a lot of members, only a bunch of us kept talking, and in that context, I see it ok to use the server like I would with friends.
And then one day the coach decided to let back a trouble maker whom he previously blocked, both from the group and in private. Honestly I have no opinion on that because it is really not my place to do so. Besides, I was sure this lady will just likely get blocked again. 🤣😅😂😆😁 And I seriously think it is only kind to let troubled people in these open groups as these groups might be the only places they get help or a listening ear.
I also see that if that group had been exclusive, I wouldn’t have gotten all the benefits.
Things went on fine and as I got this lady blocked after she kept harassing me, I had no idea that she still chose to attack me despite not being in contact for close to a year. And meanwhile no mutual friends or even our coach told me anything too. Well, actually she pretty much went crazy on everyone and quite a few others blocked her too.
Meanwhile, a close friend who had a big beef with the lady was utterly uncomfortable with the whole arrangement and he got so upset that he confronted the coach, and started a new community. All this while I had told this friend that it is technically unethical for him to set up a new group and of course his has own opinion and from my understanding, he was hella displeased with the coach. I stood by him coz I saw him as a friend and didn't want him to go through this tough time alone.
Things then took a really weird twist...
Somehow the whole thing between the coach and my close friend turned into a slander on me. It became about how actually many people in the group hate me and yet I was tolerated, and I am someone bitter and angry despite posting many cute stuff.
At that moment I could have defended myself but I lost all faith. If I exposed the truth about what my friend (and probably others!) was doing, it would cause him his place with the coach and I know that as a young man he looked up to the coach a lot. And there was literally nothing left to talk with the coach because while he had been so nice to me all the time, he talked about me differently to my friend. I guess that when it comes to his interests at stake, the coach played a different game. I didn’t want the whole thing to turn into students against the coach. I still have supportive friends elsewhere and they can take me in to help me continue in my growth as a person. I don’t need to fight to be in this particular group.
So, without wanting to drag everyone in, I left.
2 months later, I experienced so much joy and growth, I thought of another friend who had been pretty neutral the whole time. Honestly, cross my heart, with no intention to sow discord or even to “poach” anyone, I just thought that it would be great to tell this other guy how he has so much more potential and he can get in touch with all broader stuff. I thought new things will benefit him so much. And I want him to succeed!
But I guess in the end things didn't work out and this guy wasn’t even interested to hear me out.
I know you people are still looking at my pages for gossip and my last words are, while it is perfectly fine to choose your own ways, do note that this kind of behaviour is not going to get any of you fulfilling friendships and relationships. Maybe for a while it is great hype to say that the best student (LOL!!) rebelled coz she is such a hateful person, but after this died down, who are you guys going to sacrifice inorder to unite again?? Realise that this cycle have been repeating itself too much already. Are you guys really in self-help or self-destruct?? Haha!!! 😈😂
I get that young people have no care in the world and literally you guys see everything as possible. Just remember that one day you got your own self to face. Will you people still be proud to say oh, I backstabbed and accused Yuxing of this and that and earned a place with my coach and friends?
And for anyone interested, the saying of “Good thing, bad thing, who knows” is so true. I had thought the troublemaker was the vice but her life gave me the message that my old group was simply not treating people right. Because despite bringing her back, the coach and that lady was basically smiting each other the last I know. The lady called him someone who manipulated his family and now he is doing it to her and of coz the coach kept giving her warnings that he will ban her again. For sure the coach was just moderating the group, but warning someone again and again is not kind either??
Halfway I just cannot take it anymore. This lady is already nearing 40, just had her fourth child from a third man after two divorces and that was how she was being treated in a place that the coach claimed will help her. And how do I know these? All this while the coach appeared to talk about the lady’s life like it was a joke and a bad example for us all to take note. Yup, the coach had her blocked but got information from other students who were “friends” with the lady.
I don’t think anyone was a “demon” here but it just shows that when a community doesn't have elders and a wise council it is very easy for everyone to fall into such pits. This is why I am the best student around. LMAO. Inside joke.
I could have name and shame and post screenshots to help myself, but this doesn’t help in anything. It is really very easy for me to spread my hate to all those who already hate the coach and gain a huge support. But guess what? You guys are wrong, my cuteness is real. To my old friends and even the coach, my doors are still open and I welcome you guys to ask me anything and to be connected to better, broader teachings. so recently, about 2 months ago, he got a new car. his dream car that he has wanted since before we were together. we have been together 3 years and he's went through some phases but this one has me hopeless. everything was pretty much fine between us after he got the car, but as of a couple weeks ago he has been going out to car meets every. single. night. and no i am not exaggerating. he works, then comes home and immediately goes to wherever his group is and stays there late, sometimes until 3am on weekends. if he gets back from the car meet a bit early, he will come home and call me for a little bit before i go to bed. but this is as much as we talk each day, an hour or 2. i should probably mention we live an hour and a half apart and only see each other about once a week or every other week on the weekend. the past 2 weeks we haven't seen each other at all because he "didn't have enough money." he hardly even texts me anymore. i feel like his car and his friend group have consumed him and i don't even matter anymore. i'm only here when it's convenient to him. i have expressed how i feel about all this to him and even sobbed to him and he's just like, "sorry. i can't stop tho." about a week ago he told me he would try to only go out every other night. it has quickly turned into every night though and when i ask him why he's like "i dunno." he says he'll try to go out less but he doesn't. i don't want anyone to think i'm controlling bc in the beginning this didn't bother me at all. but it's so consistent now and i don't even feel loved anymore. he isn't doing anything to help me feel better or respect my feelings. i should also mention he is a recovering alcoholic and tonight he is out with car buddies at a bonfire and "not drinking." a month ago a friend of mine invited me to her bonfire and he wouldn't let me go bc he didn't want me to "be around alcohol." i don't drink but i'm not an alcoholic at all like he has been. i feel so stuck. i just want my best friend and life partner back. is there hope for us? what do i do? trying to talk to him does nothing bc he is a brick wall that never knows what to say...

This is where women's struggles come from. Most of the time, women will come into the sphere of a handsome guy (who will be regularly talking to her). But then she will have problems with the handsome guy, such as:

1. Bad behavior
2. Poor hygiene
3. Lack of ambition to make money and attain higher social status.

Your handsome guy taking orders from a middle aged bald guy talking to him in a demeaning manner is seriously heartbreaking for a woman.
In a woman's mind, she might be thinking:
"Okay, my boyfriend looks perfect, and we appear like a great couple in photos. But this man doesn't display gentlemanly behavior, doesn't dress up in dandy attire, or attend gentlemen's clubs. Nor is he making an effort to climb up the social ladder and take me on exotic trips around the globe."
Then the projection starts. She will project all these "lacks" of her man onto "average men."
But the reality is different. There are many average-looking guys with impeccable hygiene. There are many average-looking guys with good jobs who can take you around the globe, but they might not appear Instagrammable in photos (where the metric is being 4 feet wide in the shoulders, 6 feet+ in height, with a gaunt face, 10-13% bodyfat, 6 packs).
If you've all this, a woman will give up on other things. But shes still gonna complain about it on internet or to her friends.
But if you are simply a provider or a gentleman or social ladder climber, she will struggle with accepting you. Having validation of her family or friends is #1 priority to a woman.
The major source of the validation today is Instagram (if she's 16-30, her hopes are very high about life). She regularly imagines a guy like Henry Cavil next to her in a white wedding gown whenever she closes her eyes and dreams about it.
The more you deviate in West from White but Tanned man who has mannerism of Upper Class male, with physique and built. The more you'll struggle. If she's from lower class (where she has 2 jobs, debt etc...), she doesn't need manners but swagger, but physique and all that is still required, with quick comback skills to shut down your opponents).
I've often ask my female friends to show me a photo of their boyfriend. And most women with average boyfriend preface by "he's not tall (180cm), he's not handsome, he has a simple job (80-90k job)"
Why would you do this to your man? The fact they become weak in front of me start with defensive line about their boyfriend just says all you want to know.

Before I set out to Belize, (Which was a simi-spontaneous trip) I wasn't sure what or where I wanted to do or go. My planning was all done within maybe a weeks time. I ended up deciding to go to San Ignacio as I got a week at "The Cabins At Monkey Falls" Airbnb. Once I made my reservations, I needed to figure out how to actually get to San Ignacio. I was looking for a shuttle for just me and after looking around for a while and a lot of googling later and reading reviews of a few places, I couldn't make up my mind on who to choose. I ended up seeing this subreddit and looked around and found a post recommending Oscar for my ride from the airport. I searched some more and saw several people mention that they had all positive things to say about him. So I reached out Via WhatsApp and he promptly got back to me and he was available to pick me up at the airport.
The day I flew in, I let him know my flight details and once I landed and a quick 10 minute customs check later I met up with Oscar outside and we were on our way to San Ignacio. Oscar made some recommendations for a few stops along the way. The first of which was the zoo to grab some lunch. They have some very good food there plus there are some interesting critters roaming around too! Very cool. After that we stopped at The Art Box to get some much needed coffee after my redeye flight. I would definitely recommend those stops if time permits for anyone who is heading to San Ignacio.
Upon arriving in San Ignacio, he gave me a couple of places to check out while I was in town (He's a local there and knows all the best spots). He asked me some of the things I wanted to do while there and I mentioned I was thinking of going to Tikal in Guatemala, but I was unsure of which tour place I wanted to use. That is when he said that he could take us (my sister joined in on my trip a few days later) up there and we would have more time to explore or whatever since we weren't bound to a tour company's timeline. He just so happened to have the day we wanted to go available on his schedule so we booked it.
On the day of our trip to Tikal, Oscar picked us up good and early to make our way to Guatemala. One quick boarder crossing later, we kept driving until we made a stop at a nice restaurant on the way to get some breakfast. Since we weren't on a deadline we enjoyed our meal without being hurried with a whole group of people. Once we made it to Tikal, we opted to hire a guide there (Guides are completely optional) which ended up being a good choice since he has good knowledge of the different buildings and most importantly, knew his way around so we never got lost or turned around there. About 5 or so hours later in the intense jungle heat later, we were back at the visitor center and seemingly out of nowhere THERE HE WAS! Oscar seemed to have a 6th sense on where his passengers are! No waiting around or anything. It was a good feeling to be able to sit down in the AC of his van. Now we headed back to town to get some dinner which turned out to be rather exciting.
We stopped at the restaurant El Muelle which was a nice place right on lake Peten Itza. When we showed up, there a bit of commotion by the docks and when we went down to check it out there was several guys there around a crocodile that was all roped up! They heaved it up into the bed of their truck and hauled it off. It wasn't until a bit later we heard that it had attacked a guy a few days prior and they finally caught it. We then sat down and ordered drinks and food all of which were very delicious. Afterwards we went down to the lake and we all jumped in to cool off in the refreshing lake water. It was like jumping into a nice warm tub, unlike every ice cold lake up here in the northwest. I wish all lakes were that nice here. They had some hammocks that are in the water just a bit too which were very nice and relaxing. The water was crystal clear so you can see anything that might be lurking below too. After enjoying our time on the lake and watching the sunset there, we made our way back to San Ignacio.
The next morning, Oscar picked us up and we made our way to the water taxi port. We stopped to get breakfast along the way at a place called Cheers, which may or may not be named after the TV show. We couldn't figure that one out. Breakfast was very good there and worth a stop. Once we got close to the water taxi port we stopped at a store to grab some snacks and whatnot and we parted ways at the water taxi port.
Oscar definitely made my trip possible without worrying about filling out online forms and having to deal with online payments. I like to do as many transactions in cash then traveling as possible. Oscar made it incredibly easy to plan my travel where I needed to go and he keeps his van VERY clean and he takes pride in what he does. I didn't have a boring ride at all, Oscar is a very engaging guy, we has some good conversations getting to know each other and him telling me all about to Belize. Overall I was very happy with my choice of choosing Oscar over any of the other choices I had came across.
When I go back, I'm going to let Oscar know and I know I'll have a reliable ride to where I need to go. And everyone that I come across that is interested in going to Belize, I will recommend Oscar over anyone else.

So, last time, y’all caught his narcissistic behavior early. Let me just say that in-between those moments things were “okay” and we had a good time goofing off at work. That was what made distancing myself a bit difficult, don’t come for me.
But this solidified that I needed to get the fuck away from him. I’m going to try to make this short, but I probably won’t be successful at it.
SO! We were sitting outside the job. We were silent until he said, “I don’t like women wearing wigs. I like women who wear their natural hair.” I just so happened to be wearing a wig, so I ignored his comment. He continued, “You need to stop wearing wigs. And the lens of your glasses are so big, no one can see your eyes. That would bolster your self-esteem.”
Like, what?????
I told him I don’t really care about what he thought about my wigs or my glasses and all he replied with was that he was just trying to help since I had low self-esteem and that I was mad for no reason or some shit. I wasn’t, by the way, as I said, I will wear what I want and be happy with myself. He tried to analyze my body language and tone of voice. Then his ride was summoned, but before he left he told me to “use my natural hair more often,” like I had such disdain for my hair. Ugggh!
I was upset at that point. When I got home I texted him. Looking back, I had no NEED to explain myself but hindsight is 20/20, yeah? I texted him and here’s how it went.
Me: sorry, but your “advice” wasn’t helpful. I don’t even get my hair done sometimes cause it’s expensive.
Him: you could literally braid your hair for free if you have a good friend
Me (a day later): and I’m happy with how I look
Him: …. Good for you
Him: you caring about what I think is utterly wild to me
Me: I’m happy you went to “help” me but your unsolicited advice was not needed
The next few days or so, I did not speak to him at all. There were brief interactions. I even gave a way an extra soda for him, but other than that, nothing. He tried acting like we were cool, but I didn’t buy into it. I gave away that soda because I wanted to show him that I could be a good friend but keep playing with me, and I’m gone. Looking back now, that was weird.

I 28M was out with a friend last night at a trendy bar in Brooklyn. We were playing pool and were taking in the vibes the entire night. Just generally having a good time. My friend told me he was going to leave after our match with a couple dudes from the bar. While we're playing this girl is chatting me up. She tells me that she is waiting for her friends and is there alone. I continue playing my game and soon after we finish, my friend tells me his leaving while also encouraging me to keep talking to her. Honestly, I am kinda like why not? She isn't the type I usually go for, but she is paying me some attention and I literally haven't gone on a date since February. After my friend leaves, the girl tells me that her friends are in a place down the street and she invites me to come with her. I agree, and we both go.
While we're walking to the venue, I am getting to know her and everything. She seems cool and directs me to a pizzeria that has a speakeasy in the backroom, that's where her friends are. So now, I am there with a bunch of strangers and she is talking to her friends. She takes a while to introduce me but eventually does and I introduce myself. Eventually we get drinks and sit down in a booth. We keep chatting, I'm learning more about her. Now, I didn't make a move or anything like that. I personally wouldn't have felt comfortable doing so. I have had experiences with women that resulted in things getting intimate too early and I wanted to avoid that after literally just meeting this woman 30 minutes ago. At one point, I go to the bathroom and when I return, she says she is going as well. So I am now waiting by myself, talking to her friends who seem to be cool people. While I am by myself, I notice her talking to someone else but her friend had told me that she knows everyone so she is just mingling and "not to worry." I end up ordering us another round and then soon after she approaches me.
She tells me, "It kind of feels awkward that you're here. This was so spontaneous. I am going to be talking to my friends." I then asked if she wanted me to leave, and she said, "Yeah." So I say no worries, chug my gin-and-tonic and give her a light hug and I don't ask for her numbeinstagram because I guess I didn't find her attractive enough to warrant that but also because I kind of felt a little rejected and overall, disrespected. I really did waste my time and probably should have just either left with my friend or stay and play a few more rounds of pool... Anyway, I go to the bathroom once more and when I come back I say goodbye to her friends and I leave the speakeasy.
I think there is a chance she had wanted me to make a move on her. I just wasn't comfortable with that and to be honest, like I said before, she wasn't necessarily my type. She wasn't ugly but not someone I would fawn over but I gave it a chance and ultimately got rejected because of it.
Still haven't gone on a real date since February. Hoping for some better luck in the Summer time. What is your opinion on what happened? My friend said her switching up was kind of weird.

Hello fellow Chiari survivors. I (31f) was diagnosed about a year ago, after having more severe headaches more often and finding it in my MRI. I've had headaches my whole life, as well as ringing in my ears. I thought it was normal, and no one believed it was as bad as I said it was. I've learned as I got older, and especially after having kids, that I actually have a pretty high tolerance for pain, but this pain is starting to really weigh on my mental health.
My neurologist (and the one I saw before him) says surgery (of any kind) is out of the question. "No one wants to play around with your brain and leave it unprotected," is what I was told. I've had butalbital/caffeine/aspirin medication in the past that use to work, then stopped working, and my neurologist work prescribe it anymore anyway. I've done three rounds of botox three months apart each. It relieved about 50% of the pain the first two times. The third time I had to wait an additional month because of an insurance issue. This last round about a month ago didn't help AT ALL.
I'm in severe pain again with absolutely NO RELIEF. Over the counter pain meds don't work obviously, or none of us would be here, and my neurologist won't give me anything until my next appointment. Luckily, I have an appointment with the clinical pharmacist in a few days to discuss my next options with medication. I think the next thing they'll have me try is the shots I give myself at home every month, no idea what this is.
This is extremely frustrating being a "married, single mom" with two children under 10, in sports, and a full-time job where I have no help and feel like our small business is resting on my shoulders. Without going further into my pity party, I am EXHAUSTED AND DONE with everything. I feel like no one believes me because I HAVE to keep moving forward for my children. I'm not a nice person a lot of the time, but I'm trying as hard as I can to be "normal." I've taken at least one day off per week for the last two months because of the pain. But I also feel like I'm being a wimp, and the guilt makes the depression worse. I feel so guilty when I have to take time off for my head. My boss is very understanding, but I feel like she can only take so much.
Anyway sorry for the rant. Like I said I feel like no one believes me, that everyone around me thinks this isn't as bad as I think it is. And I know that there are so many people going through so much worse than me. I just need someone who's walking this same line as me to give me something.
I guess I just want to know, has anyone else been told surgery is NOT an option what has helped you, if anything? I appreciate you all!

This is kind of a small win for me in the worst way. My(f23) bf (m22) have been together for 5 1/2 years. He's been struggling with drinking for many years but I've dealt with it quietly until it started coming out in public situations and in front of his family. The first time in front of his family was October last year (I should have left him then but I was in a vulnerable place and couldn't) where he shoved his middle fingers in my face and screamed at me repeatedly that he'll never marry me, fuck getting married, etc. (he had a ring he was supposed to propose to me in march last year with but GLAD he didn't). This incidence was in front of his mom's side of the family.
Today was in front of his dad's side of the family. They've seen his problem but doesn't realize the extent of it. My boyfriend usually filters himself in front of family where he's not yelling at me, calling me names, etc.
We went to one of the largest car shows in California today where he got belligerent drunk. We got separated from the group and he started raising his voice at me and belittling me where the food vendors are. I find his father because when I find at least one family member, he calms down a bit and I'm not alone. Even then, he's being an asshole to his family members. We start making our way back to the car to leave and he runs to the liquor store!!!!! At that point, I gave up. His sister just moved back to town and it's her 2nd day here and she took care of it. She knows NOTHING of how bad he gets and only thinks he's just partying with her but it's not her fault she doesn't understand. She babysits him and I leave with his dad and his girlfriend. His dad's girlfriend (who left an abusive relationship with her ex husband) who is also drunk sees me and knows what I'm going through. She literally takes my hand and we start leaving before I could even chase him down. He eventually makes it to the car, is being a jerk to everyoneeee. We stop and get food and he's yelling and being a jerk to everyoneeee but not like how he is to me. I'm always the one that deals with the most aggression when he puts it out. He passes out in the car while we get food. He's calling me and other family members and he's going off and yelling at me on the phone. His family is starting to say that "this isn't okay." etc.
His dad starts asking more questions about what he's like and if this happens every time and I try to keep my cool because I've been doing it for years but it's definitly coming to a head now. My boyfriend gets up and starts walking home on the highway and his dad had to drive out 15 min away to pick him up before an officer does and takes him to the drunk tank.
They come back, he won't eat except be an asshole to everyone and spill his water everywhere. We get back to the car and he crawls into the trunk and is mocking me in the trunk and just being an asshole because he wanted to go home.
I'm his ride home from his father's house. When we get home, he's slamming doors and being a jerk again. He's raising his voice but now since he's been sobering up, the cursing is less but he's still aggressive. His mom comes to pick up some mail, as he's renting from one of her properties and I'm alone in the living room almost beside myself because I know deep down, this is not what I want. His mom asks if he's being abusive and I just couldn't muster up anything. I just said, "he's doing his thing" but she told me that I need to stick up for myself.
I am sticking up for myself but my time with him is decreasing rapidly. I'm graduating college with my B.S. in 2 weeks and starting a new government job and I just don't know what to do. He's pressuring me into moving in with him after graduation but I know I can't trap myself like that.
So after today and his family getting a small taste of the treatment that I've been receiving, they should understand why I'm going to leave him. It's not a thought of if I leave him, it's a when. Timing it right is what I'm trying to do but there never is a right time. I'm graduating and all his family members are coming to my party and I feel that if I broke up with him today, things would just be an even bigger mess. I just want to leave quietly and be on my way.
