Note: I do not own Howl’s Moving Castle, so all rights go to Studio Ghibli. Monetization is allowed, just send me a link to the finished audio, credit me, and ask before you make any changes (this includes gender swapping of any kind). Even though I do use “They/Them” a few times in here, I use that so I don’t have to write she/he every time. Just wanted to explain in case anyone was confused.
Note: Around 1203 words
(Talking to self) Alright, I got the snacks, sodas, tea, blankets, plushies, pillows. Am I missing anything? Right! My wonderful partner, the movie, and our fuzzy pajamas. Ordered these specifically for our movie night. They’re gonna love them!
(Talking to listener) Babe! Everything is ready for our movie night!
….
Yes, I even set up a pillow fort on the couch. We’ll be nice and comfy while we watch the movie.
….
Of course Rocky is gonna watch with us! It’s not a movie night without our favorite pupper! He’s even wearing the Calicifer dog collar I got him for Christmas.
….
You got a surprise for me? That’s very sweet of you, honey. I always love your surprises and I actually got one for you too.
….
[Chuckles] Sweetie, if I told you it wouldn’t be a surprise. Come down when you’re ready and we will give each other our surprises. Does that sound like a good plan to you?
….
Excellent! I’ll be down here getting the movie set up on the TV.
….
Alright, now what is this surprise you have for me?
….
A Calcifer plushie!? I love it! Thank you so much, baby! [Kisses Cheek] You’re way too sweet to me.
….
[Chuckles] Yes, Yes. I’ll give you your surprise now. Remember when you were doing some online browsing for Howl’s Moving Castle Pajamas last week?
….
Well, I ordered them last week and they just came in today. Also, got myself some too, so we can match. I know it sounds cheesy, but I thought it would be cute. [Sheepish Chuckle]
….
Phew! I’m glad you think it’s cute, despite it being somewhat cheesy. The pajamas I bought for you say “May all your bacon burn.” Thought it fit you, since you say that exact same line every time I make bacon. Also, I somehow managed to find a set that was decorated with pictures of Howl’s bird form. There was only one pair left in my size and I took that as a sign from the universe to buy it. They were also on sale, so that helped a bit.
….
Of course the plan was to watch the movie while wearing these! Me, you, and Rocky can all match! Let's get changed so we can look cute and comfy?
….
Alright. I’ll meet you here in a few. Can’t wait to see you looking all cute and cuddly
(Time skip)
Babe, I’m ready when you are. (Talking to self) Gotta rearrange the pillows to make it perfect. Wanna make this as comfy as possible.
….
[Talking to listener] You look so adorable! It's almost too much for me to handle. I might die from cuteness from overload.
….
Please don’t hide your face, darling. I’m just telling the truth. You’re already so adorable, these pajamas just make you that much cuter.
…..
You think the same for me. Well then….
…..
No! I’m not blushing! [Thinking to self] I just got called cute by the most adorable person on this planet! And I’m dating them! I’m the most lucky person in history!
….
Huh? Oh, I’m alright. Just zoned out for a second there. Now, how about we begin our movie night. Already have the movie, snacks, and pillow fort all set up.
….
Yeah, yeah, I’ll scoot over. Or…. (Flirty) You could just snuggle on my lap? I’m sure I’m much more comfortable than the couch.
….
Lovely, you just make yourself comfortable and I’ll start the movie.
(Time skip)
…..
I agree. Sophie honestly should have had a better position. I didn’t really like Fanny because it always seemed she took advantage of Sophie’s kindness. At least Lettie was nice.
….
Yeah, I also noticed they didn’t add the third sister, Martha. Guess they wanted to slightly change the plot direction. They sometimes do this with movie adaptations of books.
….
Howl will soon make an appearance, don’t worry.
….
Glad to see I’m not the only one in this house that thinks Christian Bale did an excellent job as Howl. His voice really did the character justice.
….
Yes! Especially when he has his epic freakout sesh. I swear that man is a five year old in an adult body. He’s even worse in the third book.
….
I won’t give away spoilers, since you haven’t read it anyway. However, I will say that you will laugh your head off when he makes his appearance.
…. (Time Skip)
You alright there, honey?
….
Seeing the Witch of the Waste’s blob monsters scared you? You wanna snuggle into me for comfort?
….
There you go. And no, I won’t laugh at you for being scared of them. I will admit they can be very creepy, especially when they are masquerading as humans.
….
Sorry for the subject change, but I like how Miyazaki can make characters that are instantly recognizable. Like, you can take one look and know that either it's from Ghibli or from a company that employs former Ghibli animators. They just have a certain look and feel to them.
….
Yeah, Mary and the Witch’s Flower is a good example. The film was made by Studio Ponoc, which had animators who previously worked at Ghibli. Even the director was previously from that company.
….
Oh, you want some snacks? Alright, which one would you like? I got chips, cookies, an assortment of candy, and some moon pies. I also tried to make some Calicfer themed cupcakes to make it a bit more fun.
….
Alright, you want a cupcake, some chips, and a Diet Coke. Gotcha.
….
I’m glad you like cupcakes. Wanted to make sure I got their cute little faces just right. For a first attempt, they didn’t turn out too bad.
….
(Talks to dog) Rocky! No you silly pupper, you can’t have a bite of the cupcakes. They have chocolate in them.
….
No, the literal puppy dog eyes are not gonna work on me.
….
Here, just chew on your bones and toys. There you go, good pupper.
….
(Talks to Listener) Right, we should get back to the movie. And yes, I’ll make sure Rocky doesn’t steal anymore food. Honestly, I can see him try and do one of those complicated thief plans from the movies. You know, the one where they crawl into a ceiling duct and suspend over the target on a cable?
….
Knew you would find that funny. Ok, let’s start the movie up again.
…. (Time Skip)
Why does Miyazaki always know how to make people cry? I mean, seeing Sophie embrace Howl in his bird creature form is so beautiful. I always tear up at this heart wrenching scene. Anyway, I have a stupid question for you: Would you still love me if I was a bird hybrid creature like Howl?
….
Awww! You’re so sweet! It's nice to know if I started to sprout feathers, you’d still love me.
….
Of course I’d still love you if you also started to sprout feathers as well! You’d always be the same beautiful person I fell in love with, with or without black-blue feathers.
…. (Time Skip)
Now that was a wonderful movie. I’ll never get tired of seeing it with you. I do have something important to tell you.
….
Instead of a small fire demon holding my heart, you are the one who holds it. The moment I gave it to you, I always knew it would be safe in your care. I love you so much [Kiss] never, ever forget that.
….
And yes, I’ll never forget that you love me too. Now how about you and I get some sleep. Goodnight sweetie.

Advice on cleaning up small print?
I am playing around with printing some cupcake decorations for my upcoming wedding, and I just wanted to reach out to ask for any advice on cleaning up stringing on such delicate parts? (or better slicer settings??) i Done the lighter trick, it works ok, but I have to be super careful as the print is so thin. It's difficult to clean with a knife because it's so small and delicate. I know I should try to stop the stringing during print, but this stuff is a nightmare! (Esun PLA+).
I will keep experimenting but any advice is welcome!

Questions on staring a cake business - feedback appreciated
I'm looking into starting a cake business on the side. I've always loved making cakes and have sold a few in the past but never did anything official.
I'm at the point where I'd like to do a "soft opening" or trial to see if this is something I'd really like to do. My main questions are in regards to pricing. My area varies on prices for 6" - 8" round cakes (3-4 layers) I've seen $75 - $180. I've added some pictures of what I've done recently and would like some options as to what prices would be considered fair. I've done a handful more including a 2 layer wedding cake (I'm hoping to get my hands on a photo of it soon!), tons of cupcakes, and cake pops. I lost a lot of my photos when I cancelled my facebook account a few years ago.
I'm no professional and have learned a lot since I've made a few of these cakes but constructive feedback is always appreciated. Thank you in advanced!
Cake details:
1: 6" round, 3 layers, white velvet cake filled with ermine frosting, decorated with vanilla buttercream (2024)
2: 8" round, 4 layers, white velvet cake, ermine frosting (2024)
3: 8" round, 4 layers, vanilla cake, vanilla buttercream (2024)
4: 13x19 sheetcake, chocolate cake, chocolate frosting (2016)
5: 6" round, 3 layers, vanilla cake, traditional buttercream (2024)
6: 8" round, 4 layers, funfetti cake, strawberry curd, vanilla buttercream (2023)
7: raspberry cream cheese cupcakes, with cream cheese frosting (2023)
8: 6" round smash cake, 3 layers, vanilla buttercream (2022)
9: 8" round, 4 layers, vanilla cake, vanilla buttercream (2022)
10: 6" round smash cake, vanilla cake, 2 layers, vanilla buttercream, topped with strawberries (2021)
11: 8" round, 4 layers, vanilla cake, strawberry curd, vanilla buttercream (2021)

2024.05.20 02:46 Dream_Dragon_Gina PSA: How I learned to survive the game braking bugs on PlayStation 4, (after the Dreamlight Parks Fest event hotfix during the Thrills and Frills update).

Hello all! Ever since the hot-fix on Wednesday (May 15th) playing this game has been a nightmare; a whiplash of emotions. The bugs have probably made this game unplayable for a bunch of us, some of us more so than others. Not all of the issues mentioned here may apply to everyone…but this is my personal experience.
I’ve had my game crash at least 20 times or more since Wednesday, and my local save has been corrupted at least half as many times. (Honestly, I’ve lost count…). To deal with this corruption, it’s vital to have a backup of your local save file (from your system). The PlayStation Plus subscription offers cloud saving through the system’s option menu (hover over the DDV application, press the options button on the controller, and select “upload/download save data”). You can save your game data to cloud storage. After a crash, going to “upload/download save data” can show you if your local save is corrupted. If it is, download the backup from the cloud, and it will overwrite the corrupted save. Opening the game will show you a pop up stating there’s a conflict between the local save and the Game Server’s cloud save, (if you have also been cloud saving from in the game’s settings when you play). If your game server cloud save is up to date compared to your back up local save, select the cloud save, and you will have your game restored to its most recent save.
If you don’t have PS+, you can use a USB drive storage device to back up your save file. Go to you system settings and select “Manage Save data” (I forgot if this is the correct name); you can then select where to save your backup, and upload your DDV file to your device. This same menu will let you download to your system as well.
Now that I have the the back up process out of the way, here’s the main part of my post!
The main valley seems to contain most of the actions that cause crashes: 1. Using furniture mode for too long and exiting out of it (outside). 2. Entering the main menu and exiting it while OUTSIDE. 3. Interacting with Goofy and Christof’s stalls. 4. Cooking outside… (the developers gave a message in the mailbox with a list of all the food items that will make the game crash. it seems safe to use the DLC Ancient Cooker outside, however, I have experienced some crashes when using it sometimes.)
Not being able to access the menu means: we can’t SAVE our game! 😭 no access to the map, Dreamlight Duties, event tab, quest tab, or the starpath tasks.
HOWEVER I discovered that you CAN safely open up the menu when inside your house (or other villager houses). Essentially, any location that requires you to “step out” of the valley and has its own loading screen, will be a safe place to access the menu. Cooking and using the furniture menu indoors is safe as well. I even stepped into the Dream Castle, and it’s safe there too. Also, I can still use Scrooge’s store and Remy’s Restaurant.
Sadly, my game still crashes randomly sometimes; running through the valley, entering Remy’s, entering Scrooge’s, and using the Furniture menu outside.
Not being able to use goofy’s stall is a Major issue: I can’t sell anything or buy seeds I need. (Sugarcane is required to make cupcakes, and Star coins are needed to buy milk and butter, as well as furniture.) The only work-around for this specific issue requires the DLC. Playing the game in Eternity Isle is entirely safe from crashes (supposedly because it’s a separate server from Dreamlight Valley.) I can sell any extra items I’ve gathered or buy seeds to grow fruit and make money…but I don’t think I have access to sugarcane. The only thing that’s saved me in this case is that I had a stash of sugarcane seeds stored in my vegetable storage room.
I’m trying decorate in short bursts, and going indoors to save my progress whenever I can. All I can do is hope my save doesn’t get corrupted every single time it crashes, and restore my save file when it does.
Sorry for the long post, but I hope this helps some of you who are suffering from crashes the same as me. All we can do is contact support and hope they provide us with an update on the situation next week.
Good luck everyone! And wish me luck in completing my amusement park for my Dreamsnaps. It’s incredibly challenging at the moment, but I haven’t given up!

2024.05.19 22:38 SillyGooseAuthor AWTA for not inviting most of my husband’s family to the wedding?

My husband and I were high school sweethearts and got married very young (I was 19), but more on that later.
For now, backstory: we both come from rather toxic families and are both black sheep. The difference being I realized early on and my husband, being very sweet and naïve at times, didn’t realize his until I started pointing it out. My intentions were never to alienate his family, however, I’ve never liked the way they treated him. Especially his mother’s side.
One of the biggest examples that comes to mind was how he worked over the summer for his Aunt one year before we even met, and instead of giving the money to him, the money was given to his mom‘s parents who kept it in an account “for him“ that he couldn’t access. Later, they bought him a car with it, but put it in their name. When I found out, I immediately pointed out that that was kind of messed up, it’s nice that he got a car, but that money should’ve been given to him and at the very least the car should have been in his name. But as he usually does, he chose to see the bright side of things, so for the most part he was just happy that he had a car. Fast-forward a year or two, and he was driving up most weekends to visit me in college when he wasn’t working (about 1 1/2 hours each way, so not very far by Texas standards), when his grandparents decided that they didn’t like that and they tried to stop him, but that argument didn’t last very long and they relented. It wasn’t until they started telling him that he couldn’t visit his dad using the car that things really got dicey.
And it’s not like his dad lived very far, he lived in the same neighborhood as his mom, and in the same neighborhood that we had grown up in. And this time they would not relent, they absolutely despise his father. The divorce was messy and even though neither is completely blameless, she definitely had the worst offenses. Just trust me on that. Since then, it’s like she never learned how to be an adult and has been a perpetual 16-year-old, always complaining about everything and with her parents always holding the purse strings (though you could argue it’s always been that way, her parents paid for her schooling to be a dance major and she never did anything with that, they defended her bad decisions during the divorce, paid the mortgage on her large house afterwards, and even now after expressing how much she doesn’t enjoy being around her parents, she refuses to leave and still lives with a family member).
Anyways, after his grandparents threatened to take away the car (which he used for work as a pizza delivery man and obviously his mom didn’t stand up for him) if he tried to visit his dad, he let his dad know and I helped him move out of his mom‘s house that night while she was at work. It made him terribly unhappy at first, especially to leave his younger siblings behind, but he knew what they were doing was wrong, and he was over 18 and thats simply a line you don’t cross. His dad baught him a car to use.
It should be noted that he likely would not have said anything to his father or moved out if I hadn’t pushed him to, and that’s probably why a good portion of his family aren’t really big fans of mine. Even several years after we were married and possibly even to this day, they think I make all of the decisions in our relationship and force him to do what makes me happy even if he doesn’t want to, which of course is not the case, we discuss and agree on every major decision. When I was pregnant with our son, our first child, we were at his dad‘s mom‘s house and I was often sitting and asking him to get things for me and the like and he ended up going to get food with one of his sisters and she literally told him that she didn’t like how I was constantly asking him to do things and I wasn’t doing anything for myself. The pregnancy was very hard on me, I LOST 11 lbs and had to work the whole time and had no paid leave, so yes I tried to relax as much as I could. These are just a few examples of their behavior, his mother and her parents are also often emotionally and psychologically manipulative and abusive, comparing him to his cousins which they often consider “more successful“ especially since he decided he didn’t want to be a doctor and wanted to work in a lab instead, and anytime he tries to argue back with his mom she does the whole “I guess I’m just a horrible mom“ thing. Something I am very well familiar with in my own life. Needless to say, I am not the biggest fan of his family.
I did one year of my university before I decided it wasn’t the right path for me and about that time he was about finished with community college and was looking to go to university next. He ended up getting excepted into the university that I had gone to, but didn’t really want to move into the dorms as someone who was older than most freshman, but also couldn’t afford an apartment on his own. So we decided that we would get married and move up there together, we were already engaged as he proposed to me on my 18th birthday. It was the perfect set up as being under the same roof as my mother again really sucked.
I don’t quite remember why we decided to get married three months from that point, it was kind of stressful. But during that time him and his mother had another huge falling out, of course with her parents being on her side, and the deal with the car was still fresh in everyone’s minds. After that I didn’t want her at the wedding, or her parents, and while it did upset him a bit(notice a trend? He is very sweet and has a tender heart and is a recovering people-pleaser) he agreed that it would just be unnecessary drama.
It was a very small wedding as my parents gave me $2000 and I used half of that on a weekend honeymoon and the other half to cover the cupcakes and the photographer (who was an old friend of ours from high school). My youth pastor who at this point also knew my (soon to be) husband was the officiant and graciously let us use the foyer the youth building free of charge for the ceremony. This was a small neighborhood church so the room wasn’t very big but we weren’t inviting a ton of people so we were fine with it, especially since it was mostly windows and it was pretty nice especially since we didn’t have to pay for it. We ended up inviting both sets of my parents, my sister and her small family, and my little sister and my mom‘s parents. (note the parents, siblings, and my closest grandparents) In the end, after his mother begged, we did end up letting her come, and then of course his father came and his siblings and his father‘s mom. (Note the parents, siblings, and his closest grandparent). Our closest friends were there which was 6 people, and then my small group from church had spent the night decorating the foyer for the ceremony so of course they were invited too. The numbers were slightly skewed in my favor as both of my parents have remarried, my sister was married with 2 kids, and both of my grandparents were still alive at the time. So yes, technicality he had less people there, but he told me that he didn’t mind after I pointed this out to him back when we were talking about who to invite. And his family really didn’t like this. We both have large families. Only mine was scattered to the four winds and his lived exclusively in Texas. If his mom‘s parents hadn’t been treating him like dirt I happily would’ve invited them too, and seeing as I didn’t even invite my step sisters who had been in my life since I was two, I didn’t think it would be appropriate to invite his cousins, especially since the room was plenty full as it was. Again, he understood and was OK with all of this.
In the end, it was very sweet and small and the reception just took place at one of our favorite restaurants.
To this day, he still catches flack for more of his family not being invited, especially is mom’s parents, and we are always told by third parties about things his family say about us and especially me. (one of them even called me a gold digger, even though at the time was working at Domino’s. His mom told us she was the only one who “stood up for me” in that moment, but the best response she could come up with was “my son doesn’t have money“).
I have no qualms about what we did. We have since moved halfway across the country, recently celebrated our 8 year anniversary, and are very happy. The things they say still weigh on us though, so I was hoping to prove a point with this post.
So, are we the assholes for not inviting most of my husband’s family to the wedding?

2024.05.19 18:08 onthewingsofangels Week 21: Intro & Weekly Discussion - Inspired by Nature

This is another of those creative weeks. The sky's the limit on what you can bake, and extra points if it looks like the sky!
You can try focaccia art of flowers. Or cupcakes decorated with piped roses. Use dried flowers or herbs to decorate a cake. Make a chocolate mud pie with gummy worms. A galaxy cake to celebrate the night sky or the Northern lights.
It's spring in the northern hemisphere, a walk on a nature trail or a trip to the beach may bring unexpected inspiration. Good luck with whatever you choose to bring to life!

2024.05.19 09:24 luce_goose91 Birthday baking

Birthday baking
Today was my son's birthday party. Solo mum putting it all on by myself and so I decided to bake everything 🙃
I made: - RecipeTin eats Vanilla cupcakes with chocolate meringue buttercream - salted caramel and white chocolate cupcakes - cinammon scrolls (pastry from scratch) - a Beyblade Stadium cake (decoration isn't my forte) but the marble cake was amazing
A massive kitchen undertaking and I feel like the house will be sticky for a couple of days, but he had a blast.

2024.05.19 06:05 Zestyclose-Quail9516 What I made yesterday

I made this really nice rhubarb bread just a flavored bread loaf and it turned out really good for 2 cups rhubarb I added some extra extra vanilla buttermilk turned out very nice I had to overcook it because I put some tinfoil on top and I did it a little too soon so it was a little undone in the center longer it wasn't as brown as my normal breads are which was awesome. I do good with bread I need help with my decorating cupcakes and cakes I'm trying to get practice under my belt so I can get up with my own business of selling bakery items I do good with cookies sheet cookies like probably not decorated sugar cookies I need help with the decorating coloring patterns that kind of stuff my creativity is kind of under wraps but I'm sure it would be better once I get this tension out of my body and I'll have to learn how to move more be more agile in my hip area groin. I hunch my shoulders forward and so that leaves me kind of like with a frozen shoulder almost? But I'm still strong I'm still proud and I can still stand up almost fairly straight just my shoulders pop forward a little bit. I also am going to be selling bars as in like sheet bars 9 x 12 pans baking dishes. I know I do a good job it's just the decorating and creativity that got me a little flabbergasted that needs a lot of help but step one 1 foot in front of the other keep moving forward Little bit at a time or should I say little chip at a time?

2024.05.19 04:03 BitchnamedNutmeg Sam's 2nd chance

Well I think I'm officially done with sam's for the 2nd time. I worked at a club in the bakery as a part time decorator for about 9 months and quit in July of last year. This March I got hired as a full time decorator at a different club. I don't even think I'll make it through my 90 days. One of the other decorators is so unpleasant to work with. She is an absolute control freak! I've been towing the line and letting her rude attitude roll off of me but today took the cake. She had the nerve to accuse me of "doing whatever I want and not working as a team" Mind you the cooler was full of back stock, all orders were being made on time, and I was able to finish a pallet of cupcakes before noon. I just don't get it. I've never had this much issue with someone because we work differently. I'm pretty sure I'm going to call out tomorrow just so I don't have to work with her and I'm contemplating quitting this week and leaving her pretty much alone for graduation and memorial weekend. I'm not one of those people who needs to be best friends with their coworkers but I will not be accused of not doing my job by someone who isn't my lead.

They suggested Pepe cuz the stickers we have right now. Well These poo frogs lol are either terrified or horrified. Except the sad one looking at his tie. We had a ball and well at least they taste professional 😂.

2024.05.17 22:27 OMGrealstories MIL & SIL Drama

I would really love some advice with how to approach my new MIL and SIL with how I was treated during my entire engagement.
This has been going on since 2021 whenever my now husband proposed to me all the way to us getting married in early April 2024. I will do my best to shorten everything and bullet point the important parts.
*I wanted a black dress for the wedding, SIL argued that it was so omen. When she saw I was not budging said she wanted a black dress for her wedding - she is not engaged
*we are having the wedding at our house. SIL argued it was trashy and we should do a venue. Our home and land is way big enough to support 50 people.
My main reason for airing my family drama and issues is because I feel like something else is going on and SIL and MIL aren’t being truthful about it. I feel like MIL is clearly taking her daughter side because it’s her daughter. I get it however I feel like I don’t deserve to be treated this way when I did nothing wrong. The lying, passive aggressive, and gaslighting me about conversations that “have” happened is very concerning for the future relationship that I have with them.
I want to sit down and talk to them about it, but I’m not quite sure how to start the conversation and I’m afraid that I will get gaslit during the conversation. I felt like my entire engagement experience was ruined by them. I do not have a happy memory with them about it just with my sister, friends and family.
Before anyone says anything, husband is aware of the situation and is leaving the ball in my court for when I’m ready to talk about it. 100% supports me as he has seen all the text messages, the passive comments, etc and is not okay with it. He fully supports me and whatever decision I have and doesn’t want to overstep.

2024.05.17 11:05 Best_Technician_7772 My mother in-law is planning my bridal shower

Ever since before my boyfriend had proposed to me, I’ve always told everyone that I don’t want a wedding. It just seemed like an expensive hassle when my only goal was to marry the love of my life. Since then my fiance has shared that it’s his dream to have a big wedding so I learned to love the idea and plan it with him. But less than one month into being engaged, his mom starts asking me about my bridal shower. It caught me off guard as I’m trying to plan a wedding for 280 people, why would I even think about a bridal shower? My mom is mentally and physically disabled and my maid of honor is out of state so I figured I would just skip the whole thing since I had no one to plan it. Then one day I meet my fiance at his mom’s house after he’s had a few beers and he goes “just ask her mom, she won’t care!” So she asks me if she can plan my bridal shower for me. She goes onto say how she knows that no one can do it for me and that I deserve one so she’d love to do it. I told her yes and i genuinely appreciated the offer.
Now this is where it gets weird. The first issue is the prizes. I tell her that there’s this great store nearby that sells gift baskets for cheap and she goes “oh that store stresses me out” so I tell her that it’s no big deal, I go there all the time anyway and I buy a bunch of prizes. She buys a single pickle ball set. I ask her if she wants me to drop the prizes off at her house and she tells me to just leave them at mine until she’s ready for them. And again, I tell her that fine.
Then she chooses the hall and caterer. She asks if I don’t mind, she really wants it close to her mom (my fiancés grandma). It’s a little bit further of a drive for my family, but I agree. It annoyed me a little bit that she thought my finances grandma came before mine for my shower though. Then she asks if her mom can cater because she’d really love it and again I say that’s totally ok if she wants to do it, it’s just going to be a lot of women to cook for
Next my fiance calls me and tells me that he has to run to the store because chicken is on sale and his mom asked him to buy it for the shower. He pays for it all and puts it in our deep freezer.
A little bit later, she’s trying to get in touch with my bridesmaids to make sure the date of the shower works out for everyone. Then they start talking about planning the shower and one of my bridesmaids suggests a cocktail for the shower. My MIL then informs her that the hall she booked doesn’t allow alcohol so it’s a DRY shower. She never talked to me about this at all so I started to get super irritated. At this point we have paid for everything except a single pickleball set and the low fee of renting the hall. Yet I’m sacrificing mimosas at my shower so she can look good for her mom.
She hasn’t come up to me with any ideas for this shower other than the games. If I try to send an idea to her, she just asks me to get a quote. I was even gifted a box of wedding decor and it had a tiered cupcake holder so I sent her a picture and said we can use this and she goes “oh you want cupcakes?” I tell her I love German chocolate and we need a dessert anyway but she can’t figure out how to plan this out so she goes “How many cupcakes does it hold? How many cupcakes do you think we’ll need?” And then sends me a picture of a cupcake that fits with the theme she chose and it isn’t even German chocolate. Again, I am in the middle of planning a wedding I did not want for almost 300 people. It really irked me that she asked to plan this thing but can’t even figure out how to bring cupcakes to a party without me doing it.
Now the shower is three months away and the only thing done is my FULL garage because she still hasn’t taken any of the decor or prizes and it’s already full with decor for my wedding. Gift baskets aren’t made, invites aren’t sent out, a menu hasn’t been discussed, and the only idea discussed on her end is the games and the theme.
I don’t want to be ungrateful and I’m sure other girls would love to plan their bridal shower. But all of this is stuff that I simply don’t want. Yet, we have paid and planned almost all of it. I am DREADING this shower. It feels like it’s more about my MIL being able to tell everyone she planned it instead of actually doing it and none of it is even what I like.
The wedding is killing me. I literally quit my job because it’s becoming so much (we had talked about me quitting after we were married and my fiance can support me financially until I find something else ) you better believe my MIL took me quitting and ran with it. Because last I heard, she was telling my fiance that “it’ll never work out” and implied that I’m a gold digger. And telling the whole family about me.
I’m such a mess about it all and I feel like I’m going crazy. There’s so much more, and I can answer any questions in the comments. Does anyone have any ideas or thoughts?

2024.05.17 03:52 reetveek Sad I brought home the wrong order

I think my strong sense of justice is making me feel really sad about this. I picked up a bakery order for my mom and gave her name (first and last) to the bakery counter. The person behind the counter then grabbed three cupcake boxes with my mom’s first name and the first initial of her last name. I come home and she tells me she only ordered one box 😭 I understand now why the other two boxes looked different from the first, they were a different color scheme of cupcakes and plain instead of decorated but in my head I rationalized at the bakery that all three boxes had my mom’s name so it had to be her order. And it was not.
The bakery was about to close when I left and is closed now so I can’t even call to tell them my mistake. I think there must be someone with the same first name and first initial because they don’t put the full last name on the boxes. But I feel really bad because someone else is missing their cupcakes now 😭 and I feel really sad and dumb about it 😭
Tomorrow we are going back to tell them but sadly I think they can’t accept the cupcakes back from us because it wouldn’t be safe (basically a liability because we had taken them home already). This was a pre order so they were all paid in advance. We are going to go in and pay for the two extra boxes tomorrow. I don’t even want to show my face in the bakery because I feel like a dumbass, but I also don’t want them to hang my photo on a wall of cupcake thieves or something ☠️ My mom was very kind about it but I felt like… I messed up a very simple task :/ She had told me the cupcake color scheme she ordered but I just assumed she ordered extra ones so I didn’t question it at the bakery. I’m kind of spacey and I’m mad at myself that I didn’t just text her and confirm before I left. Sorry for the long vent I wish I could have just given them back or called them tonight 😭 I also hit my head really hard on my trunk as I was taking the boxes out so Im just sitting with my head throbbing trying to chill the fuck out 😭

No matter what you post over and over to save face, you are a terrible person and mother. You said you took a break from social media but anyone who knows you, knows thats a lie. Facebook is social media as well as the Instagram lives are social media just so you know , so no zamboni you didn't take any breaks. You were probably told by ryan to take a break from tik tok,we know this was not your choice. True crime page didn't pan out? Because thats what you tried last week. You are a disgusting vile person and your children and animals deserve better.

3 I caught your comment to skyzone claiming you go several times a week. I spat my tea. Lady poor cash gets more exercise running the isle of carlie c's for cupcakes or Walmart for letters . You could visibly tell he has not done that foam pit ever. And was so red in the face you should be ashamed for overloading that kid that way. And the clencher posting colt grabbing himself to potty. You love posting their most vulnerable moments. You know by snooping here and comments on your page you have the most unsavory following.
