I'm looking for potential technical co-founders to build a project together, or join an existing project. I've been iterating on this project that's the combination of AI + SaaS + KYC, and after countless customer talks and feedback I saw the big opportunity for this project in multiple markets. I also got approvals for PoC & Pilot tests from multiple brands! That's why I'm looking for my technical co-founders to quickly create this project together 🚀

1) Multiple uses for multiple customer segments such as; hotels, airports, car rentals, hospitals etc.
2) Market size is over $10B+
3) There are only few competitors who are selling to a really tiny percentage of the market which is still enough to make them $500M+ ARR. So, there is big opportunity for new, innovative AI startups.
4) Biggest competitive advantage here is to act really quick to get to the market.
I'm now in Europe but will be relocating to San Francisco this summer, so meeting people from California would be better. If you're a technical genius who's interested in this field, let me know.

We have an overnight stay in Livorno, so rented a car and stayed in Florence because I'm traveling with a wheelchair bound person. The port security would not let me bring the car back to the ship area to pick her up and she had to get on the shuttle bus with the electric scooter which was a huge pain. Does anyone know if there is a way to get authorization to drive back there to drop her off before I return the car?

Me and my gf will be coming to Anchorage from Whittier on 14 July after the cruise. Our plane home is on 16 July at 11:50 pm so we should have two and a half days total. The plan was to go to Denali Park via rental car and spend a night there but since the road is closed I doubt it is a good idea. So now looking for alternative routes/solutions, preferably budget-friendly. Ideally wanna allocate some time to explore Anchorage as well. Can you recommend anything?

Hi, looking for advice on what type of electric car charger I should be looking at.
My current setup: I have a Solis 3.6 Hybrid inverter and 2x 5kWh Puredrive batteries. Standard priority of household demand, charge batteries, then export to grid. I currently use Octopus Flux mostly to top up the batteries overnight. Heating is gas but expect to go ASHP in the future and might add some more battery capacity at that point. No EVs right now.
What I want: I'm probably going to get an EV this year and I want a charger that works with my setup. So priority would be: household demand, batteries, then EV, then export. Additional overnight off-peak top up of batteries and car too (if not flux then some other off-peak tariff).
I know virtually nothing about two way car batteries, but if the car has one, then in principle I'd probably also want the car to support day time household demand when available, especially in winter if I go ASHP and my usage sky rockets past my current 10k battery capacity.
I know I can get API access to my inverter if I ask, but I have almost zero interest in getting into that, I just want to set and forget as much as possible (honestly, setting the batteries to charge overnight is miserable enough on Solis' terrible menu system - in hindsight wish I'd gone for another and a bigger inverter but there you go!)
So...
How much of this is controlled by the inverter, the charger and/or the car?
...and will I need a specific charger to achieve all of the above?
Also on tariffs, I've looked at the smart-er ones, but have concluded my relatively dumb inverter won't play nice. I know I'd probably be better on agile but I want this to be as close to set and forget as possible and appreciate the consistency of my overnight hours on flux.

I went out of state to celebrate a friend’s wedding. I had put a deposit on a hotel room (1 queen bed in a nice lodge) last year when I decided to attend the wedding. My boyfriend and I are long distance and we only get to see each other every couple of months so we were excited to be able to spend this time together and enjoy our trip. Another couple (friends of ours who came on the same flight) had not come prepared and did not have a hotel room booked. I had let them know that if they really needed to (had no other options), we could stay together (never mentioned they could just stay for free, and they also never mentioned that they were expecting a free stay). Meanwhile, my boyfriend and I had planned our hotel room, rented a car, and planned out a few activities. When we got off our flight, the groom (our friend) had called me to let me know that there was room for this other couple to stay in his bachelor cabin. I informed the couple of this and the groom informed the couple of this as well. All they had to say was that they didn’t really want to stay in the bachelor cabin. Another idea I’d suggested is inquiring with the hotel to see if they had any other rooms available (another one of our friend’s had planned on coming but canceled so I thought her reservation might have been available). They didn’t want to consider either option and instead insisted on staying with my boyfriend and I. We gave them (and another friend who was with us - he was a groomsman) a ride from the airport, and adjusted our plans to go sight-seeing when we landed because this other friend was in the wedding and the groom asked us if we could get him to the rehearsal dinner ASAP. We were kind enough to change our plans, pick up beers that the groom had requested we get, and head straight over with everyone in our rental car.

I'm going to ask in English as apparently none of us speak Estonian anyway if you listen to the media 😁☺️
But yeah. Mainly I wanted to ask your opinion and maybe the opinion of the public what do you think of the new prices you get as I seen what looked like a PR piece by them in the Estonian media yesterday where they say how it's all good for us and drivers are very happy with the new lower pay as they get more rides.
For me I drive 12 hours a day to earn 100 euro and from that I pay bolt 25% and the rest is costs of vehicle and insurance
For me this isn't sustainable and I'm about to quit, am I wrong to try and make a living from it as on on side of their mouth bolt is doing everything they can to get full time drivers even setting up rental car companies to increase the supply of cars
They also tell drivers how to get a license without Estonian language skills so they very clearly encourage more full time drivers but then every time they talk to the media they say how most drivers only do 4 hours a day or something which is pure lies.
Just wanted to know how you guys drivers and riders like the service lately
Ps: to rub salt in my wounds I see they organize a nice expensive rooftop cocktail and Pizza party with the money they make raising our fees to 25%.. I notice no drivers who make their business work are invited

But yeah. Mainly I wanted to ask your opinion and maybe the opinion of the public what do you think of the new prices you get as I seen what looked like a PR piece by them in the Estonian media yesterday where they say how it's all good for us and drivers are very happy with the new lower pay as they get more rides.
For me I drive 12 hours a day to earn 100 euro and from that I pay bolt 25% and the rest is costs of vehicle and insurance
For me this isn't sustainable and I'm about to quit, am I wrong to try and make a living from it as on on side of their mouth bolt is doing everything they can to get full time drivers even setting up rental car companies to increase the supply of cars
They also tell drivers how to get a license without Estonian language skills so they very clearly encourage more full time drivers but then every time they talk to the media they say how most drivers only do 4 hours a day or something which is pure lies.
Just wanted to know how you guys drivers and riders like the service lately
Ps: to rub salt in my wounds I see they organize a nice expensive rooftop cocktail and Pizza party with the money they make raising our fees to 25%.. I notice no drivers who make their business work are invited

So, my wife and I are on vacation and we prepaid the trip for hotel and rental car using Costco Travel. (It saved us almost $1,000 in Hawaii which was nice). While in Maui we did the road to Hana and one of us (I won't say who), got too close to the edge on a bridge and scraped the side of the car.
So, we prepaid the whole car using VISA on the Costco Travel portal. But, this may have been our saving grace. We added a car seat for our infant and so while at the Alamo rental car checkout counter, I used my Amex for the $80 charge on the baby seat for 5 days. So we paid $80 more dollars and the applicable taxes on the $80 and that last little bit went onto the AMEX.
I looked on the AMEX website and it triggered the 17.95 fee for the premium car rental insurance. Luckily, I think that we are covered it looks like right now!
Does anyone know the fine print on a prepaid car rental with a Non AMEX credit card (from a place like Costco Travel that does not accept AMEX), and how you can then use the AMEX premium car rental insurance for a small add on to get the Premium car rental insurance? 60k in savings. 80k in Roth IRAs. 0 in taxable. 3 houses: 600k w 200k mortgage, 2500 rent - 1500 expenses including mortgage. 450k w 280k mortgage, 2200 rent - 1500 expenses including mortgage. Primary is 1.2M w 900k mortgage, 6k mortgage inclusive of utilities. 570k in student loans with no serious plan to pay it off. No consumer debt. Cars paid off but getting old and needing expensive repairs. 16k in 529s, 200/mo total contributions split four ways.
The thought is that by the time we retire, the three houses will be paid off and the rental income plus social security will easily cover living expenses with no mortgage. The Roth IRA will go to lifestyle spending. As expenses like mortgages and childcare fall off, we would put those funds into retirement or taxable accounts, but four kids means we are often limited to 60-70 hours a week of work. If the tax situation does not change for student loans, I will use some of the Roth or taxable funds to pay off the student loans or taxes for student loan forgiveness.
My spouse thinks we should spend more (travel, summer camps, skiing, etc.) instead of saving and reaching for higher income (we do hourly work), since the real estate should cover all of our expenses in retirement. Are we in as precarious a position as it feels? We are not trying for anything crazy like retiring early or leaving an inheritance. In fact, we both expect to work until our health prohibits it.
I feel like one of those city horses with blinders on, like there is something I'm not seeing.

Over the weekend, my family and I were in a crash on our way to a park a couple miles up the highway from our house. The other car pulled into the intersection and stopped in our lane while we were too close to stop, we were honking slamming on the brakes and we swerved but hit them. We’re not at fault and the other driver is fully insured. My husband and I were both injured and had to go to the ER. paramedics checked my children and they appeared fine, however since the accident my oldest (5) has been saying some quite concerning things and won’t stop talking about the crash. I am thinking therapy would be helpful and wondering if that cost is something that could be covered if we sued. We haven’t talked to a lawyer yet because we’ve been focused on trying to keep our day to day routine for our kids having no car and relying on rides until we can get the money to rent a car or buy a beater or something. (our car was completely totaled and it was our only car)

Hey you folks. On our trip home to germany from hawaii my wife and me will have a stopover of around 10 hours in Vancouver. We will land at around 8am and take off again at around 6pm. As we dont want to spend the whole time at the airport I booked a rental car for that day.
Any recommendations on how to spend that day? I guess the easiest way is to just go (downtown) vancouver, but all in all we are not that great fans of north american cities.

I have a 2021 XSE V6 and the Bluetooth has about a 10 second delay before connecting when starting the car.
It's especially annoying with phone calls because although the phone says BT is connected to car, the car takes forever to recognize it. So for that timeframe, I can't hear caller and caller cant hear me. I have to put the phone on speaker, wait one minute, then connect to BT.
I use Android devices and have tried 8 different Android phones over the past 4 years, all with same results. I've updated the head unit software as well, same issue.
Is there a setting I can tweak to fix this? I never knew this was abnormal until I got in a Malibu rental and BT connected as soon as the car turned on. And it was wireless.. but that's a story for another day.
