2024.05.21 13:08 According-Long-9207 I did something unforgivable

I feel like the only option is to end my life I’m such a piece of shit. I posted explicit pictures and videos of my girlfriend online without telling her, and they got leaked along with her and I’s social media. It’s only a matter of time until something bad happens. She’s been getting messages and hasn’t pieced it together yet.
I can’t find the leak to have it taken down. The worst part is, I can’t tell her. I just can’t. In the original post, I included bad pics of her twin sister cuz I thought people would find it hot.
I have no excuse, I have no answers, I feel like I’m going to throw up. I told my gf to block messages on insta from strangers to avoid spam but idk if that’ll work. I don’t know what to do I am petrified, it’s like waiting for the shit to hit, praying it magically doesn’t

2024.05.21 12:25 EnigmaReads The narcisissm is pissing me off

I'm in the process of emailing potential PIs and was looking for tips online to refine my email structure when I came across a lengthy post on a certain academic subreddit. Essentially, professors are whining about receiving generic cold emails, but what truly sets me off is the blatant racism and lack of empathy. These comments are from a discussion among professors: "I just ignore them; they are just trying to escape their countries." "You're so kind to bother replying; I just block and delete." There are lots of other rude comments about international students, some mentioning specific countries and even making fun of the "broken English." I'm sorry but who exactly do you think you are, and how long ago were you graduate students that you are so incredibly out of touch?
I understand that spamming professors with generic emails is disrespectful, annoying, and appears desperate; But a good number of us are taking the time to read your papers and write individual emails, because we do not have unlimited resources to apply to a million different PhD programs worldwide. We need to find out if our particular skillset is useful in your lab and if there is space for us. I cannot request a trillion letters of recommendation from my professors. I do not have $100k lying around that I can freely spend on grad program fees either. And What gives you the right to comment on an applicant's home country? TF you mean "they're just trying to get out?" I am incredibly frustrated and angry with this system that has placed my career at the mercy of such egomaniac douchebags. I'm going to take a break from emailing for now. Anyways, thank you for reading, this is my favorite subreddit.

2024.05.21 12:07 VeryMiserable-Dummy There really isn't anything I can do is it.

Recently there are very new police force specialist targeting cyber criminals and online activities.
I am not too sure how they taget their suspects, but they would wear a backpack with some router devices on them.
Devices near them will automatically connect to it. The connections isn't a dead-end connection, it is a normal connection that are rerouted to this router.
But sometimes the router will be a dead-end connection while their device is being scanned.
You see I am just a normal user with some devices, but I think there is a group of suspect that are being targeted by this police force.
And these people are kind of using this to their advantage, they are currently following me on a daily making my phone unusable while being scan.
I have spoke to a design team of this program before. They say they couldn't put my devices on a whitelist, the purpose of a whitelist is that any device on it will not be scan.
The reason for this is because they are afraid these people might hijack my phone and make it theirs.
When they are near me, my phone goes completely dead. No connections, very leggy, battery is also very consuming.

2024.05.21 11:11 diamondsshinebright my ex (m19) might ki..ed himself, what do i (f19) do?

hey, i (f19) am really panicking and worried, so i'm sorry in advance if this is chaotic.
the whole relationship was an online discord relationship
we met in oct '23 and got together a month later 4 months later i slowly lost my feelings, i was going through a really tough time i talked to him, communicated and we thought that maybe some time would fix the problem... but it got worse and i had no romantical feelings for him left i figured that it might be better if we broke up, since staying in a relationship with someone who doesn't love love you anymore, is just unfair. he was going through a terrible time, he was really clingy and i tried to support and comfort him as much as i could. we kept calling and talking and texting, there were so many night where i just fell asleep on the call cuz i was so exhausted from crying and feeling so shit about everything
he claimed that i was his everything, his first and only love etc etc and i felt really bad and guilty...i feel like i had no other choice than breaking up and even distancing myself from him, because he kept repeating how it's all my fault and i just didnt feel ok anymore. i've never felt so shitty and bad in my life before.
well 2 months later, everything got worse. since i was single, i had more time to spend with my friends, and take care of the friendships that i neglected during the relationship. i played with friends, called with them, tried distracting myself from the mess. my ex didnt like that idea, he kept on saying i was cheating (which i cant even if I wanted to, since we werent together during that time), he kept saying im trying to replace him, that i started ignoring him etc etc he kept assuming things and believed them, none of his statements were true, but since he thought they are he hurt himself more and more with it and said that i'm the one hurting him. he kept on lashing out on me, got angry whenever i spent time with someone else and not him, threatened me and i was just scared. the anger he had made me so anxious, that i neither wanted to call nor play with him
a few days ago it was really terrible. i played with a friend again, just trying to have a good time and he stalked me and saw that i was playing. he texted me, spam called me over 60 times in total on 3 different apps and then he kept on assuming different things, insulted me, said terrible shitty things and i honestly just didnt reply at that point. i was hurt, didnt understand what my mistake was.
we didnt talk or text for a whole day since one of his messages were "dont ever text me again bitch" and i just didnt wanna message first after being disrespected like that
a day later he texted, saying he missed me and that he was mad and it's all his fault i told him how shit i felt that night, how anxious i was out of a sudden he felt really bad he said bad things about himself, said stuff like "its all my fault/i dont deserve love/i dont wanna live/i deserve death" i told him to stop saying things like that
a night later he felt really bad, he sounded weak in the voice messages he sent
then he put "its really high up here and i think about taking the last step" in his status
when i saw that i told him to come and calm down, he said it doesnt make sense anymore and told me to stay safe after that he went offline and didnt text again. this was 2 days ago.
yesterday a friend of ours texted me, saying that my ex said good bye to him and that he will end it
since then we both dont know where he is, what happened, no one knows and i'm just really worried and scared that he really did it my friend says he's trying to get attention, since it was a month online relationship and out of religious reasons.
is it my fault? did i do something wrong? can something happen to me? idk how to deal with this, if he really killwd himself... how will i know? im scared

2024.05.21 10:53 kix820 BDO Rewards Scammer Encounter

So someone called today to "help me redeem my unclaimed rewards points." The call sounded legit but nakatag sya sa phone as "suspected spam." The ignorant me played along and asked me for my BDO username, last 4 digits of my card and an OTP that will be sent. That's when I ended the call. I immediately changed my online banking password, BDO app, BDO Pay app, and locked my cards as extra measures.
The creepy part of the call is may binanggit sya na unclaimed points din daw ako from other banks, and mostly tumama sya sa mga inenumerate nyang banks. Sabi ko na lang to stick with BDO muna. In reality, those other bank accounts are already closed.
Anyway, the number who called was 09705287493.
Ingat guys.

2024.05.21 10:40 -UnknownInsider- DMO Lite New Gen Version

DMO Lite New Gen Version
Works on PS5/XboxSeries Expanded Enhanced version
Videos : https://youtu.be/FqE2JUeo3AE?si=ElyDdJxQWic7_9MZ
https://youtu.be/6WAgAR7v24s?si=a2nO-hmoYSTRDrHX
PS4 DMO Lite Old Gen Version : https://www.reddit.com/gtaglitches/s/u2EynTK451
Requirements :
-Director Mode Save Migrated and downloaded onto the New Gen Console
-Friend in Public session and also inside Titan of Job mission and playing chilling in the mission or Solo If you are lucky and have second console like me 👍
Steps :
-Make sure to have a save downloaded on the console ( Once you got the save with the cars you made from save editor and all that save wizard ) . go ahead and make an auto save with that director mode save
💎 ( So every time you load into story mode , it loads into that save ) 💎
🔥 Side Notes : The downside of this Glitch is that, it will only allow you to upload one game save , so be confident of the cars you wanna make 🔥
-Now once you are ready ,make sure the autosave is ready then quit to the main menu ( Now load into a story mode save ) , it should load you into the auto save
🔥Another Side Notes 🔥 :
💎 For XboxSeries 💎, when you load to story mode , it should load you to the auto save automatically ( Once you’re loading in on Xbox , You wanna keep pressing and spamming down on the D-pad and down on the right stick at the same time ) to get the quit to GTA 5 alert
💎 For PS5 Version 💎: You gonna do the same thing but you will have a percentage at the bottom ( The moment you get to about 60% - 80% ) , You want to hit down on the D-pad and down on the right stick at the same time ) to get the quit to GTA 5 alert
-Now when you get the alert , you need to quickly decline it ( Once you decline the alert , You will see your story mode character standing and frozen Glitched underneath the map )
-Go ahead and pause then hit Director mode ( when you load into director mode , You will not see any characters in the casting Trailer ) , Now all you wanna do is just head to director mode with your online character
-Once you spawn in ( Set your waypoint to the Spanish ave location on the map ) , If you don’t know where it’s located , You can watch the video to know ( also have your friend in a titan of job mission head over there as well )
-Once you arrive to the Spanish Ave location , all you wanna do is spawn a car you want to give to your friend ( Now Be hovering over the car you wanna give it to your friend ) then Go ahead and join the friend who is in a titan of a job mission , also make sure that you don’t close out the Director Mode menu
-Now Accept the alert and spam on the car ( After you accept the friend alert to join the mission , Keep spamming on the car ) , Now once you are in the sky , Just close the game and restart it
( The giver will not be able to see the car, Only the receiver, also the receiver will be able to carry the car into different sessions , so it will not disappear )
( So to Receive the car , The Receiver need to do the Facility Flip Method ) , Your friend can find a new session then do the Facility Flip Method
( If you are lucky like me and have second console , No need for A friend to Help 👍 )
Enjoy 😉

2024.05.21 09:14 Nuggetmaster0512 Why do people even play pvp in this game

I've played elden ring, ds3, and dark souls but I've never played souls pvp so i tried it to see what it's like. Im pretty good at pve but I started pvp and got stomped immediately, it's like a completely different game. I changed my build and played it for a while and eventually I started getting better and learning how to counter people and roll catch, stop panic rolling, etc. I liked it cuz it let me experiment all the weapons/consumables I had that I never touched and didnt need to use during pve.
I started watching videos and reading stuff online about the different pvp tactics and stuff cuz i thought it was really interesting but eventually I noticed that the pvp community is really really toxic. It seemed like no matter what weapon/technique someone used in a pvp clip, they always had people talking shit about them and saying they suck. Poise armor, dual spears, poke swords, bloodhound step, crouch attack, magic, faith, spinning slash, moonveil, status proc, guts greatsword bows, katanas. I even saw people getting mad at LIGHTROLLING, literal normal game mechanic that has been used in all the souls games and punishes you by giving you no armopoise. I know the pvp in elden ring is bad and unbalanced and the damage is crazy and all that, but why do they get mad at the people using "op" weapons that help you counter the other "op" meta weapons you will inevitably meet. Its not even like a handful of weapons either its like half the weapons in the game are "if you use it you suck *point down*" to these people.
I quit because of this and even though I wasnt super insane at pvp and I only had like 40 hours, I was able to get better and learn how to counter magic spammers and dual spears and all these things people complain about. Like if they spam, literally just run up and kill them while theyre casting spell or use golden magic deflect shield. I noticed its kind of like pve where theres always a way to countedodge even the most powerful moves like waterfowl dance. Thats literally the point of the games; to "get good". Even super cracked pvp gods who 1v3 people in invasions complain about like "OH NO SPAMMING L2 GRR" like bruh just kill him. People who would beat me would literally message me hatemail for lightrolling or using star shower or something like dawg you literally won why are you mad. I dont understand why anyone would endure this. The community is so mean to everyone and instead of blaming elden ring for being unbalanced they get mad at the players. They refuse to take their own advice to "get good" (the phrase they use to gatekeep the series from "casuals") and learn to counter the 100000s of "op" moves/weapons, its like antithetical to the entire point of the souls genre and so hypocritical. Are any pvpers in here how do you guys deal with this/ignore it and have fun with the game? I want to like the pvp really bad but its so toxic. sorry if this is kinda ranty i just rly like the game and wish i could have fun witht the pvp

2024.05.21 08:49 ayonc46 How Do You Develop a Custom WordPress Website?

To develop a custom WordPress website, plan your site structure and design. Next, install WordPress on your hosting server and choose a suitable theme or create a custom one. Customize the design and functionality using HTML, CSS, and PHP coding as needed. Add content, including pages, posts, and media, to populate your site. Finally, test your site thoroughly across different browsers and devices to ensure it functions correctly before launching it to the public.
What are the initial steps to create a personalized WordPress site?
  1. Define your goals and objectives for the website.
  2. Choose a suitable domain name for your WordPress site.
  3. Select a reliable web hosting provider that meets your needs.
  4. Install WordPress on your hosting server.
  5. Choose a theme that aligns with your brand and design preferences.
  6. Customize the theme settings and appearance to match your desired look and feel.
  7. Create essential pages such as Home, About, Contact, and Services.
  8. Install and configure necessary plugins for added functionality.
  9. Set up user roles and permissions as per your requirements.
  10. Develop a content strategy and plan for creating and organizing your website content.

Step-by-Step Guideline Develop a Custom WordPress Website

Step 1: Choose a Domain Name and Hosting
Your domain name is your website's address on the internet, like www.yoursite.com. Choose a domain name that's easy to remember, relevant to your brand, and not too long. Next, you'll need hosting, which is like renting space on the internet to store your website files. Look for a hosting provider that offers reliable service, good customer support, and enough storage and bandwidth for your needs.
Step 2: Install WordPress
WordPress is a popular platform for building websites because it's easy to use and highly customizable. Many hosting providers offer a one-click WordPress installation, which makes getting started a breeze. Simply log in to your hosting account, find the WordPress installer, and follow the prompts to set up your site. Once WordPress is installed, you can log in to your site's dashboard and start customizing it to your liking.
Step 3: Select a Theme
A WordPress theme determines the overall look and layout of your website. There are thousands of free and premium themes available, so take your time to find one that fits your style and the goals of your site. Look for a theme that's responsive (meaning it looks good on all devices), easy to customize, and well-supported by its developers. Once you've chosen a theme, you can install it on your WordPress site with just a few clicks.
Step 4: Customize Your Theme
Once you've installed your theme, it's time to customize it to make it your own. Most WordPress themes come with built-in customization options that allow you to change things like colors, fonts, and layouts without needing to know any code. Use the theme customizer in your WordPress dashboard to tweak your site's appearance until it looks just the way you want it to. Don't be afraid to experiment until you find the perfect look for your website.
Step 5: Add Content
With your theme customized, it's time to start adding content to your website. Create pages for important information like your Home page, About page, Services page, and Contact page. Use the WordPress editor to add text, images, videos, and other media to your pages. Write clear, engaging copy that tells visitors what your website is about and encourages them to explore further. Remember to proofread your content carefully before publishing to ensure it's free of errors.
Step 6: Install Plugins
WordPress plugins are like apps that add extra features and functionality to your website. There are thousands of plugins available for everything from contact forms to social media integration to search engine optimization. Think about the goals of your website and choose plugins that will help you achieve them. Be selective about the plugins you install, as too many can slow down your site and cause conflicts. Install and activate your chosen plugins from the WordPress plugin directory, then configure them to suit your needs.
Step 7: Optimize for SEO
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving your website's visibility in search engine results. A well-optimized website is more likely to rank higher in search results, driving more traffic to your site. Install an SEO plugin like Yoast SEO or All in One SEO Pack to help you optimize your content for relevant keywords, add meta tags and descriptions, and improve your site's overall SEO performance. Take the time to research keywords relevant to your niche and incorporate them naturally into your content for the best results.
Step 8: Test and Launch
Before you launch your website, it's important to test it thoroughly to ensure everything is working correctly. Check your site on different devices and browsers to make sure it looks good and functions properly. Test all links, forms, and interactive elements to make sure they work as expected. Once you're confident that everything is working as it should, it's time to launch your website and share it with the world. Celebrate your hard work and take pride in your new custom WordPress website!
Step 9: Maintain and Update
Building a website is just the beginning – maintaining it is an ongoing process. Regularly update your content to keep it fresh and relevant, and update your plugins and themes to ensure your site stays secure and performs well. Monitor your site's performance using tools like Google Analytics, and make adjustments as needed to improve usability and user experience. Listen to feedback from your visitors and make changes accordingly to keep your website running smoothly and meeting the needs of your audience.
What do you consider to select hosting and a domain name for your WordPress site?
Firstly, you'll want to choose a hosting provider that offers good speed and reliability. Look for one that has a solid reputation and good customer support in case you run into any issues. Consider your budget too, as hosting costs can vary.
As for the domain name, it's important to choose something that's easy to remember and relevant to your site's content. Avoid using complicated or obscure words that might be hard for people to spell or remember. It's also a good idea to check if your desired domain name is available on social media platforms to maintain consistency across your online presence. Lastly, think about whether you want to use a .com, .net, or other domain extension, keeping in mind what best suits your site's purpose and audience.
How do you evaluate and choose a theme that suits your brand and design preferences?
Firstly, consider your brand identity and the message you want to convey to your audience. Look for a theme that aligns with the style, colors, and overall feel of your brand.
Next, think about the functionality you need. Do you want a theme that's highly customizable or one that's more straightforward? Consider features like layout options, customization options, and compatibility with plugins you might want to use.
It's also important to check the responsiveness of the theme. Make sure it looks good and functions well on various devices, including smartphones and tablets.
Lastly, take some time to browse through different themes and read reviews from other users. This can give you a better idea of what to expect and help you make an informed decision that suits your brand and design preferences.
What essential pages should you create first?
How do you decide which plugins to install?
  1. Identify Needs: Determine the specific functionality you require for your site.
  2. Research: Look for plugins that offer the features you need.
  3. Ratings and Reviews: Check plugin ratings and read user reviews to gauge reliability and performance.
  4. Compatibility: Ensure the plugin is compatible with your WordPress version and other installed plugins.
  5. Active Installations: Choose plugins with a high number of active installations for reliability and community support.
Example:
How do you integrate custom features and functionalities into your WordPress site?
Integrating custom features and functionalities into your WordPress site involves adding extra capabilities beyond what comes with the standard installation. One way to do this is by using plugins. These are like apps for your website, and they can add all sorts of new features, from contact forms to e-commerce shops.
For example, let's say you want to add a feature for visitors to book appointments on your site. You could search for a booking plugin like "Bookly" or "Appointment Booking Calendar." After installing and activating the plugin, you'd typically set it up by following the provided instructions, which might involve configuring settings, creating booking forms, and placing them on your site where you want them to appear.
Another way to integrate custom features is by adding code directly to your site. This could involve writing your own custom functions or modifying existing ones. For instance, if you wanted to add a custom sidebar widget displaying your latest Instagram photos, you might need to write some PHP code to fetch the photos from Instagram's API and display them on your site.
In summary, integrating custom features and functionalities into your WordPress site can be done through plugins or by adding custom code, allowing you to tailor your site to your specific needs and preferences.
How do you manage user roles and permissions?
RoleCapabilitiesHow to Manage AdministratorCan do everything, including managing other users, installing plugins, and changing themes.Go to Users > All Users in the dashboard, find the user, and change their role to Administrator. EditorCan publish and manage posts, including those of other users.Go to Users > Add New, fill in user details, and assign the role of Editor. ContributorCan write and manage their own posts but cannot publish them.Add or edit a user and assign the role of Contributor. SubscriberCan only manage their own profile and read content.Change the user role to Subscriber in the Users section.
What security measures should you implement to protect your custom WordPress website?
To protect your custom WordPress website, you need to implement several security measures. Here are some specific steps:
  1. Install a Security Plugin: Use plugins like Wordfence or Sucuri. They offer features like malware scanning and firewall protection.
  2. Use Strong Passwords: Make sure all users have strong, unique passwords. A good password includes letters, numbers, and symbols.
  3. Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): This adds an extra layer of security. Users will need to enter a code from their phone in addition to their password.
  4. Keep WordPress Updated: Always update WordPress to the latest version. Updates fix security vulnerabilities.
  5. Limit Login Attempts: Use a plugin like Limit Login Attempts Reloaded to prevent brute-force attacks.
  6. Change the Default "admin" Username: Don’t use "admin" as your username. Choose something unique to make it harder for hackers to guess.
  7. Use HTTPS: Get an SSL certificate to encrypt data between your website and visitors. Most hosting providers offer this for free.
  8. Backup Your Site Regularly: Use plugins like UpdraftPlus to create regular backups. If your site gets hacked, you can restore it.
How do you ensure responsiveness and mobile-friendliness in a custom WordPress site?
To ensure your custom WordPress site is responsive and mobile-friendly, follow these steps:
  1. Pick a Responsive Theme: Start with a theme known for being responsive, such as Astra or GeneratePress.
  2. Use a Mobile-Friendly Plugin: Install plugins like WP Touch, which help make your site mobile-friendly.
  3. Apply Media Queries: Add CSS media queries to adjust your layout for different screen sizes. For example:
(Css code)@media (max-width: 768px) {
.sidebar { display: none; }
.content { width: 100%; }
}
  1. Flexible Images and Videos: Ensure images and videos resize properly with:
(Css code)img, video { max-width: 100%; height: auto; }
  1. Mobile Menu: Use a plugin like Responsive Menu to create a user-friendly mobile menu.
  2. Optimize for Speed: Compress images using a plugin like Smush and enable caching with a plugin like W3 Total Cache.
  3. Testing: Regularly test your site on different devices and browsers. Tools like Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test and BrowserStack can help.
How do you troubleshoot and debug issues that arise during the development of a custom WordPress site?
Troubleshooting and debugging issues during the development of a custom WordPress site involves several steps. Here are some real-world challenges and specific issues you might encounter:
  1. White Screen of Death (WSOD): This issue often occurs due to PHP errors, plugin conflicts, or exhausted memory limits. Solution: Enable WordPress debugging by adding define('WP_DEBUG', true); to your wp-config.php file to display error messages. Check the error log for specific issues.
  2. Plugin Conflicts: Plugins can conflict with each other or with the theme, causing functionality problems.Solution: Deactivate all plugins and reactivate them one by one to identify the conflicting plugin. Check for updates or consider alternative plugins.
  3. Theme Issues: Custom themes might have coding errors or compatibility issues with WordPress updates. Solution: Use a child theme for customizations to avoid losing changes during updates. Validate your theme code using tools like Theme Check.
  4. Database Errors: Corrupt or misconfigured databases can lead to errors or data loss. Solution: Use phpMyAdmin to check and repair database tables. Ensure regular backups are in place to restore data if needed.
  5. Broken Links and 404 Errors: Incorrect URLs or deleted pages can lead to 404 errors, affecting user experience and SEO. Solution: Use a plugin like Redirection to manage and fix broken links. Regularly check for 404 errors using tools like Google Search Console.
  6. Slow Performance: Poor performance can result from unoptimized images, bulky plugins, or inefficient code. Solution: Optimize images, use caching plugins like W3 Total Cache, and minimize CSS and JavaScript files. Profile your site using tools like Query Monitor to identify slow queries.
  7. JavaScript Errors: JavaScript errors can break site functionality, especially interactive features. Solution: Use the browser’s developer tools (F12) to inspect the console for JavaScript errors. Fix issues by debugging the scripts or checking for library conflicts.
  8. Security Vulnerabilities: Sites can be vulnerable to attacks if not properly secured. Solution: Regularly update WordPress, themes, and plugins. Use security plugins like Wordfence, and implement strong passwords and two-factor authentication.
  9. Responsive Design Issues: Ensuring the site looks good on all devices can be challenging. Solution: Use responsive design techniques and test the site on various devices and screen sizes. Tools like BrowserStack can help simulate different environments.
  10. User Role and Permission Problems: Incorrect configuration of user roles and permissions can lead to security and functionality issues. Solution: Use the User Role Editor plugin to manage and troubleshoot roles and capabilities. Ensure that users have appropriate access levels.
How do you create a seamless user experience (UX) in a custom WordPress site?
To create a seamless user experience (UX) in a custom WordPress site, start by choosing a clean, responsive theme that looks good on all devices. Ensure your site loads quickly by optimizing images and using caching plugins like W3 Total Cache. 2024.05.21 08:10 coke_can_turd New Owner

Hi-
Recently picked up a Scrambler 400X, and have a novel incoming.
I'll be posting in this sub as I toss on a few mods and document any issues with this new platform. I try to avoid Facebook Groups since search engines don't pick up the posts and the info ends up in a black hole surrounded by spam; if you find this sub I suggest you do the same. Here's a quick overview of my first week of ownership and a few opinions about the bike in the short time I've owned it for those looking to pick one up.
After got trailered the bike home, I turned the key to the on position and tried cranking it about halfway through the needle sweep in my excitement to get my first ride in. I got nothing. Turned the key off then back on, waited for the sweep to complete, and it finally started but with a check engine light to accompany it. I was bummed obviously.
Turns out that there is an issue with the programming on the ECU. On some of these bikes, if you try starting it prior to the system scan completing it will toss a check engine light for code U0167. There is a software update available or soon to be available that resolves this according to the dealer I bought the bike from. They said it would be ready by the time I bring it in for first service. In the interim, as long as you wait for the needle sweep, you won't throw a code.
I cleared the code with a scanner after leaving the battery disconnected overnight to no avail as a few groups suggested. I highly recommend this $20 OBDII scanner. It's actually decently made and functional; I've used it on cars for a while and it works to read/clear codes. It auto detected the protocol on the 400X first try. You'll need a 6 pin adapter to interface with the 400X (and probably Speed as well) - I picked this one up. You can't reset the service icon with this, only check and clear engine codes.
After that bummer was rectified, I've spent the past week putting ~400 miles on the bike around NYC and here are some observations:
That's all for now. Overall, it's a great bike and I'm pumped to be riding it for the next few years.

2024.05.21 07:53 FRDyNo Activation issue

I got an iPhone 15 pro max unlocked off Amazon last week. Activated with T-Mobile and it worked great. Today I updated the iOS and lost cell service altogether. After trying everything I could find online, I finally factory reset the phone and restored from iCloud. I needed a new eSIM since I deleted the original when factory resetting. But the QR code given just doesn’t work. after scanning, the screen just hangs there and nothing happens. Even after letting it sit for about 40 mins. I tried multiple QR codes from multiple reps. What could possibly be the issue here?

2024.05.21 07:29 olmaeyo I stupidly thought I was in the safe zone

I lost my baby today at 13 weeks 5 days. NT scan normal, NIPT results normal. From early on I had spotting with a big bleed at 8 weeks after which I was told I have a subchorionic hematoma. For weeks I lived in dread, limited my activities, counted down each day and each week, looked at the miscarriage risk calculator.
I had so much anxiety but the spotting stopped for 10 days and when the scan and genetic results came through at 12 weeks I let myself relax for my 3 days out of this whole pregnancy, let myself dream and be happy. We told more people. I saw my OB for the first time last Tuesday, and all was supposedly well. That night I started getting pelvic pain and I thought ok it’s the uterus stretching, the timing is right. I was also coming down with a flu and by Wednesday I had a fever and even more pain - I went to the ER that night to rule out a UTI, spent 12 hours there and was reassured with an ultrasound. On Friday the pain got worse, it felt like contractions and the spotting was back and it was bright red. We went back to the ER and they checked everything, including cervix and heartbeat and all was good. But this was the first time I found out my SCH hadn’t gone away and I now had two and they were pretty decent sized 5 something cm for one and 3 something for the other.
On Sunday and today the contractions were even more painful, they honestly felt like an 8 out of 10 and I have a high pain tolerance. They kept coming in waves but the duration kept increasing. I knew it wasn’t right. No matter where I looked online I couldn’t see any anecdotal stories of super painful contractions with SCH. I think I saw the writing in the wall but because the spotting was light and steady I had some hope. We had an OB appointment tomorrow and I just kept thinking we need to make it one more night to get answers.
I went to pee and that was it, my baby came out of me with no preamble other than the light spotting in the days before. I don’t think I am ever going to get over looking down and seeing that coming and out me and then later in the toilet. I’m sorry for the graphic description - I’m just so devestated. He was supposedly fine, in terms of chromosomal stuff, he was ahead in terms of growth. I just can’t understand why. All the other SCH stories I read online ended positively. I can’t help but go over everything to see where I went wrong.
