Hi everybody. Probably just venting here, it's a long read and there's so much more.
I am a 35f that is living back at home due to a breakup. I have a history of depression, anxiety, ptsd. I was molested by my half brother from my mother's first marriage. He was living with his father for 10 years before he came to live with us when I was 4. He said he did it to me to get back at my mom. My mom had a bad past too. She was raped by her stepfather, and my grandmother denied it and basically blamed my mom for it even when he admitted it to my grandmother. And my grandmother stayed with him. Long story short, my parents are classic gen X thinking I'm lazy and I'm the problem. They don't understand how things are different when it comes to saving money, jobs, buying a house. They don't believe in mental health issues, that it's the person's problem. I have been contemplating sxixide a lot. Imagining where I'd do it, how I'd do it. Planning. I opened up to my mom about it and she doesn't know what to do. She is so emotionally immature and developmentally stunted she gets offended if I have stuff going on in my life and don't give her my attention when she demands it or wants it. Well, we were watching George and Mary on TV and there's a part with suicide where G is shown how to properly slit his wrists. wrists. My mom snickers. This is the second time she has laughed at something mentioning suicide shortly after telling her how I feel. The first time she said "you keep talking about it, just do it" to the TV. She is passive aggressive and crazy like this. And she will deny it if I bring it up to her. I am stuck here because in my last relationship I did everything to save it and racked up debt and lost my savings. I have nowhere to go and I'm grateful I'm able to be here. But my parents are so dysfunctional and I can't pretend to be okay with this anymore. My dad is former military. He was gone all the time and blames the military for our nonexistent relationship. He doesnt take into account that when he was not on deployment he was stuck on the computer doing whatever. He should have never had a family because he is so selfish and doesn't do anything with us. My mom acts like she succeeded in life when she's basically a mail order bride. She would have nothing without my dad's retirement. She's lazy, doesn't clean. Acts like everyone should kiss her feet because she cooks 1-3 times a week. She doesn't have a job BTW.
I am so sick of this toxicity. We can't talk about our problems because dad will just tell us to shut the fuck up. We have always just shoved shit under the rug. Both my parents are emotionally immature and stunted. I can't fake it til I make it with this. I am disgusted. I don't know what to do. I am planning on saving money to buy a rv and live in it so I can get the fuck out but it'll take a long time because of my debts.

Anyone know how to hide these things?
Usually involves a really crappy AI Generated picture of some starving kid, or disabled kid, or a picture of Jesus fighting Satan, and I'm beyond fed up with seeing them.
I've blocked like 100 of these spam accounts, and have pushed "show less" more tines than I can count, but every other post is one of these stupid, like-skimming posts.
I use Facebook mostly for a handful of groups on an anonymous profile, so I haven't added any friends.
Can anyone help me out? This is driving me nuts.

I (23m) have been with my girlfriend (21f) for 2.5 years. We have argued in the past about petty things but our current argument has been going on for 2 months now. She doesn't have many friends, and barely speaks to anyone other than her family and her one friend at university. I was happy to know that she had finally gained a big friend group about 2 months ago.
She spoke about the male friend in question a lot to the point where I had to ask her to stop. A few days later she is mentioning how this male friend had offered her a lift home from university 4 times that day. She didn't get the lift and I was glad because she has known this person less than 3 days now. I reminded her of the dangers and she promised never to get in that car.
The weekend passes and that Monday she gets home and says she got the lift with the male friend. I was a bit disappointed in her for a few minutes but forgave her and she promised to never do it again. Later that evening things took a turn for the worse as I had noticed she had removed almost every photo of us together on Instagram. This prompted me to check her phone and I see she had been chatting and planning this lift home the whole weekend and hiding it from me.
I did get very upset at her and I made her block this male friend on all her socials. She was angry at me the next day and I had given in to let her unblock this person and I told her she shouldn't be going behind my back like this and should let me know when she speaks to this person. She promised to only message this person about university work as well.
The next day she is acting strange. Clinging on to her phone and when I was at university with her that day she claimed to turn it off to save battery (90% and never done that before) when I had to keep her phone for her. I checked the phone and once again I see she was messaging this male friend, borderline flirting. I said enough is enough and made her block this person once and for all.
A month passes and she is once again following him on Instagram, made her block him again. This time she had a lot of rage at me. This stayed for a few days and when I couldn't handle her anger anymore, we sat down and spoke about a compromise and drew up a contract (her idea) that stated she may speak to her male friend in person at university but there is to be no online and out of university contact.
Another month passes and she is finally invited to go out with her friend group that this male friend is a part of. I give her a pass on this and I am genuinely happy she is able to go out with friends even if this male friend is present.
A few days after this she tells me I am emotionally abusing her and tears up this contract and over the last few days has no longer let me see her phone and has broken her promise to never get in the car with this male friend again. I plead with her that this hurting me and she doesn't seem to care.
AITAH for just wanting this male friend out of our lives after she has gone behind my back and broken promises over this person?

Recently just adopted a 1 year old cat that from what I know had a pretty good upbringing. He was very outgoing and friendly at the shelter. I got him home and put him in our basement (cool, lots of places to hide, more quiet).
A few hours later I decided to check on him and he came out, letting me pet him and even purring. I was over confident in his comfort and tried to remove the paper collar that the shelter had put on him. Now he won't come out when I go to see him. He has looked at me though.
It hasn't even been a day but I'm worried that I ruined his trust with me. I've had two cats previously and have been lucky that both adjusted right away. I know it can take awhile, I'm just nervous about me going after that collar and keep beating myself up about it.

I've (31, F) been dealing with rosacea type 1 and 2 since I was 15 with a mild case of ocular thrown in the mix (yay for the winning combo).
Treatment background: I've tried Ivermectin, Elidel, Metronidazole, Rozex, diets/suppl, no alcohol, doxycycline, Mirvaso, hypochl. acid, azelaic acid, zinc oxide and other OTC products, have been wearing sunscreen daily for years, IPL and Vbeam.
I've definitely seen progress with some of the treatments (could be a post of it's own) but I'm still not where I'd like to be. Right now I've put my fight with Type 1 on hold because the treatment interferes with my Type 2 treatment:
In the recent years I've had two serious type 2 flares for which doxycycline proved to be the winner of all treatments. Bonus: ocular symptoms improved aswell. When I came off the doxy (was on it for 3 months) for the first time I'd see my skin worsen but it was nowhere as bad as before.
Around August 2023 I think my skin was already pissed off by using sulphur soap too often and not moisturising properly. Then the morning after a party (alcohol incl), summer heat and using Azelaic acid was the final blow. The months after my skin exploded and I was miserable. Suddenly my type 1 didn't seem so bad because I was dealing with a full blown type 2 party from hell. It's still hard to admit to this day but at times I wanted to end it all because of how miserable I had gotten. I starting working from home permanently, stopped dating, hardly went out anymore. It was terrible. I decided to try another round of doxy to get me out of this state, which thankfully helped!
I took my round 2 of doxy (100/day) for around 8 months. I know it's way longer than the usual 3 months but I spoke about it with my derm at length. Plus, I started looking for a new job at that time, started dating again and I desperately needed to feel like a happy person again after feeling like absolute shit for half a year. Thankfully, round 2 worked like a charm again and I was clear, minus some minor breakouts.
Now, I know some people here are on antibiotics permanently but I wasn't comfortable with this idea. After going through my options with my current derm and seeking a second opinion from another derm everyone came to the same conclusion: either take doxy in cycles (so that I can still come off) permanently or try a last option, isotretinoin.
Iso scares me because of the side effects but potential antibiotic resistance scares me even more. So, two weeks ago I decided to bite the bullet, come off the doxy and started isotretinoin. FYI: doxy and iso are not to be taken together because of potential swelling of the brain.
I'm 70 kgs and on 20/day, started on the 7th of May. Blood testing included, zero alcohol, sunscreen always. No chance of me getting pregnant so not on birth control but I need to do a mandatory pregnancy test anyway. The latter is just protocol, so I'll respect that.
Why am I posting all this? For two reasons. Firstly, I know what it feels like to be absolutely miserable because of this condition. Hiding from society, scared of the future of my skin and mental health. I've spent countless tears and dark days dealing with this shit. I want to tell you that you are not alone. You're not "being dramatic" or "vain" when the skin on your face feels like it's burning all the time or covered in p&p's. What you're feeling is valid. But I'm also here to tell you not to give up! There's progress to be made! Ask me anything in the comments!
Second reason: I'll be posting each month for anyone dealing with type 2 that considers taking isotretinoin. I'll be 100% transparent about the treatment, progress, side effects etc. Reading other ppls posts on here has helped me immensely so now it's my turn. I hope my isotretinoin journey will help you decide your own path.

I’m grappling with feelings about my mother’s behavior and wondering if I’m overthinking things or if my concerns are valid. I’d appreciate your insights.
Growing up, I felt loved and supported in a home that, while not perfect, seemed caring. However, now that I have my own children, I see the shortcomings of my upbringing—like not being encouraged to excel academically or in sports.
My wife and my mother have always clashed. An accusation from my mother against my wife, which was baseless, has soured their relationship further. My mother’s indirect approach to issues contrasts with my wife’s directness, causing friction.
Post-divorce, my mother stopped working at 45. I worry about her financial future and feel she should contribute if she were to live with us, to avoid straining my marriage and household.
Despite my efforts to help her find employment, she hasn’t shown interest in applying for jobs, which makes me feel she’s relying on others for support.
As a grandmother, she’s loving but often distracted by her phone, which concerns me regarding her attentiveness to my young children.
My wife and I have chosen to leave social media for our children’s safety and asked our family to refrain from posting my childrens images online. Everyone agreed except my mother, who not only continued to post their pictures but also used them as her profile image.
After discovering a comment where she lied about us preventing her from seeing her grandchildren, I confronted her. Instead of understanding, she accused us of being cruel and keeping her from her grandchildren, despite her lack of effort to maintain contact.
I’m torn between the guilt of potentially cutting ties with my mother and the need to uphold my family’s values and safety. Is it unreasonable to expect her to respect our wishes, or am I being too harsh?
This is a very very drummed down version 10 years of issues.
My mom often uses people around her to rally her troops and do her fighting for her so she can continue to play the victim or the innocent party however its evident where its coming from.
I am not perfect, I am fully aware of this, however standing up and protecting my family has to come first and my wife is my wife. She is angry now, and no longer wants to know my mother. However this has come from years and years of accusations towards her. Worst of all the accusations come in the form of gas lighting and makes you wonder if your are imagining it.

I recall watching a standalone animation early to mid 2022 about a stalker who, although I don't remember the beginning exactly, followed a couple to their house. This was not created by an animation studio. It was created by either a single animator or a collaboration. The dialogue was either not audible or barely audible, music or silence filled the entire video instead.
The boyfriend character has short black hair and at night, is seen at a bar, and then walking with another woman outside late at night. The stalker takes a picture of them and then either posts on social media or sends a private message to the girlfriend, who then interrogates her boyfriend when he arrives home late, soaked by the rain as I recall. They most likely broke up, but later reconcile if I remember correctly. At some point, the stalker enters the house and hides in a room. We see from the stalker's perspective as they hide in the closet/cupboard near the end as the woman enters the room.

As a grown man, I hate blaming my parents for issues I have. Compared to so many horror stories, my childhood, parents and family were wonderful. In general, I try to believe that people do the best they can with the resources they have and rarely have true malicious intent. Unfortunately, there is one “childhood trauma” that I am stuck with and I don’t see any way to get over it.
For as long as I can remember, my boomer parents and gen x siblings would absolutely torture me about girls. Like every girl I ever came into contact with from preschool on I would get the “oh that’s your giiiirrrrlllfrieend” crap. I was a sensitive, people-pleasing kid and this really bothered me. To make matters worse, My family had the awful habit of “making fun” of, quite literally, anyone on the planet. Too rich, too poor, imperfect physical features, race, ethnicity, religion, different style clothes, different interests or hobbies, nobody was safe.
I went through adolecence and young adulthood mostly terrified to interact with women. Just now am I getting to the point where I have actual platonic female friends. School dances and prom were major sources of stress. I had whole relationships in high school and college that I kept secret from my family, including a 3 year relationship with who I now consider to be the “love of my life.” How awful must these young women have felt that I was hiding them from my family? I’ll never forgive myself.
After college, I moved back home (see people pleaser comment above). A month later my longterm girlfriend broke up with me. Why? Because I was still hiding her from my family. I certainly can’t blame her and I hope she is living the life she deserves.
A hazy, drunken, depressed and miserable 7 or 8 years then ensued that frankly I’m lucky I survived. I was a total wreck on the inside but put together enough on the outside so as to not worry anyone. Good job, remained in shape, outwardly I was just a fun, drunk, party guy in his 20’s. No relationships. Any dates were to a bar. Very rare sexual encounters were risky, drunken, one or few night stand situations.
At 29 I started dating my now wife. After a few months of secret dating I fought through and introduced her to my family. I’m grateful that my wife pulled me out of the abyss. After a few months of dating I finally got my own apartment and started to live as an actual adult. We got engaged at a year and a half and married at two years. We’ve been married for 10 years. We have a house and two wonderful children. My thirties were far better than my 20s and 40’s are looking great so far. Except…..
Lately, I have not been able to shake feelings of regret or what might have been. While we get along, our marriage is like a business agreement. It works. We’re busy, the kids are busy, we don’t or can’t take time for ourselves, we are both constantly engaged in jobs, cooking, dishes, laundry, cleaning, kids activities, etc. We both tackle everything and neither of us is ever sitting or relaxing. It never seems like we can get ahead of things. My wife is totally codependent and cannot handle anything on her own. She also may be a hoarder in the making. She was diagnosed with OCD as a child and is probably somewhere else on spectrum, terrible anxiety, too. I’ve made all adjustments to accommodate her needs. New, self-employed job so I can control the schedule, no hobbies or friends, I am always available for her needs. She refuses to get any outside help with her mental health. It’s all on me. She’s miserable, always mad at something or somebody(her family tells me this is her historic personality and she’s just like other family members), always sick, she has gained well over 100lbs and the health issues that go with that are starting to creep in. More for me to deal with! Sex life is dead. Totally vanilla when it does happen-missionary with shirts and socks on. Multiple times over the past 5 years we have gone 8-12 months without intimacy. Any attempts to discuss these issues as adults are met with rage and blaming everyone else. Her position is basically that I married her and just have to live with whatever. She also knows I’ll never leave the kids(I’m not saying that’s the right call for everyone but it’s the right call for me).
Here’s the thing- I can handle a lot with a smile on my face. I am longing for those relationships I had in early adulthood where my SO actually wanted me to be happy sometimes instead of only living to serve her needs. I can’t get these ghosts of girlfriends past out of my head. Every single night I am having vivid dreams about them sexual and otherwise. Marriage with kids is a lot different than college relationships so who knows what could have been. For me, the unknown is what haunts me.

PHOENIX (AP) — Former Arizona Republican Party chair Kelli Ward and at least 11 other people are set to be arraigned in a Phoenix courtroom on conspiracy, forgery and fraud charges stemming from their roles in an effort to overturn Donald Trump’s 2020 election loss in Arizona to Joe Biden.
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani also is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday, though it’s unclear whether he’ll seek a postponement. Arizona authorities tried unsuccessfully over several weeks to serve Giuliani notice of the indictment against him. Giuliani was finally served Friday night as he was walking to a car after his 80th birthday celebration.
Arizona authorities unveiled the felony charges last month against Republicans who submitted a document to Congress falsely declaring Trump, a Republican, had won Arizona. The defendants include five lawyers connected to the former president and two former Trump aides. Biden, a Democrat, won Arizona by more than 10,000 votes.
The indictment alleges Ward, a former state senator who led the GOP in Arizona from 2019 until early 2023, organized the fake electors and urged then-Vice President Mike Pence to declare them to be the state's true electors. It says Ward failed to withdraw her vote as a fake elector even though no legal challenges changed the outcome of the presidential race in Arizona.
Last week, attorney John Eastman, who devised a strategy to try to persuade Congress not to certify the election, was the first defendant in the case to be arraigned, pleading not guilty to the charges.
Trump himself was not charged in the Arizona case but was referred to as an unindicted co-conspirator.
Arizona is the fourth state where allies of the former president have been charged with using false or unproven claims about voter fraud related to the election.
The 11 people who claimed to be Arizona’s Republican electors met in Phoenix on Dec. 14, 2020, to sign a certificate saying they were “duly elected and qualified” electors and asserting that Trump carried the state. A one-minute video of the signing ceremony was posted on social media by the Arizona Republican Party at the time. The document was later sent to Congress and the National Archives, where it was ignored.
Of eight lawsuits that unsuccessfully challenged Biden’s victory in the state, one was filed by the 11 fake Arizona electors, who had asked a federal judge to decertify the results and block the state from sending its results to the Electoral College. In dismissing the case, the judge concluded the Republicans had “failed to provide the court with factual support for their extraordinary claims.” Days after that lawsuit was dismissed, the 11 participated in the certificate signing.
Those set to be arraigned Tuesday are Ward; Tyler Bowyer, an executive of the conservative youth organization Turning Point USA; state Sen. Anthony Kern; Greg Safsten, a former executive director of the Arizona Republican Party; Robert Montgomery, a former chairman of the Cochise County Republican Committee; Samuel Moorhead, a Republican precinct committee member in Gila County; Nancy Cottle, who in 2020 was the first vice president of the Arizona Federation of Republican Women; Loraine Pellegrino, past president of the Ahwatukee Republican Women; Michael Ward, an osteopathic physician who is married to Ward; attorneys Jenna Ellis and Christina Bobb; and Michael Roman, who was Trump’s 2020 director of Election Day operations.
Arraignments are scheduled for June 6 for state Sen. Jake Hoffman; on June 7 for former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows; and on June 18 for Trump attorney Boris Epshteyn and for James Lamon, another Republican who claimed Trump carried the state.
